ALRIGHT
to get it out of the way, TRIKARANOS will always be free to read and there will NOT be an early access tier, but I'll probably start talking about patreon more as a way to support it (& also me because I have. bills to pay.)
I'm still writing it, but I've started drawing the first chapter, altho it won't be done until....the end of october, maybe sometime early november. this comic doesn't have a set schedule or release. what it DOES have is it's own blog!
⭐ ta da! [link]⭐
if you're on desktop, feel free to check it out! I'm pretty happy with choosing this theme + how the banner looks with it :) you can check it out on mobile too, but there's Nothing To Look At There because there are no custom themes for the mobile vers of a blog

hi! perhaps it's a stupid question, but i was wondering how do you read? are you making notes? highlight things? or you have a pretty good memory? thank you
Hi anon,
Is this like...apropos of something specific? Like a specific type of reading I do? It's not a bad question, but since I mostly talk about actual play here (ie, things I watch or listen to) rather than things I read, I'm not sure of the context.
For fiction, I mostly just read to be honest. I have a decent memory but I definitely forget a lot. The thing about giant epic fantasy series is that if you forget small details, or, to be honest, large ones, it's usually fine. At worst you'll be confused or say something kind of dumb, and because I don't really write meta about, say, Wheel of Time or Stormlight Archives, I don't care if I've forgotten lore. If I remember a book super well there's a good chance it's because I've read it multiple times, which means it's probably not a doorstopper fantasy novel.
I did take notes on reading when I was in grad school. I've never been a highlighter and I specifically find that, irritating as it can be, taking notes longhand and then transcribing them was the best way for me to fix things in my mind: the action of longhand + the repetition of transcription + the ability to search my notes once transcribed.

I don't know if it's rude to ask, so apologies in advance if I sound mean, but… how come you repeatedly bring up old posts of yours from three or more years ago? Do you remember each original post you make and intentionally bring them back? Like, I don't think there's anything wrong, your blog can be whatever you want, obviously, and your stuff is always funny or curious in some way, just… I'm kind of lost as of how it came to be, I guess? I don't think I remember my own posts after 6 months, much least if I have to go back to 2020!
ahaha no it's usually just because i'm going back through a tag looking for something else! i recently went back through my entire "my posts" tag (which contains...1468 posts, dear lord) and while i was doing that saw several posts that i felt like reblogging for whatever reason. so it's usually not that i remember them and go looking for them on purpose, it's that i come across them incidentally in the course of doing something else.
if you want to know why i reblog them after coming across them, 1) usually i don't! you are seeing the tip of the iceberg lol, and 2) it's mostly because it's hard to resist the "sooo true, bestie" urge, even when the bestie is just...yourself.

I really liked putting my alternate blog together—it's where I put writing stuff, but also where I reblog beautiful costumes and scenery and that sort of thing. I only have a few followers, most of them personal friends, but idk, it's nice to have a place for those kinds of things.
...but I'm starting to get the suspicion that having my main writing persona blog on Tumblr is probably not a great idea. :\

Thinking about expanding Agatha Christie canon (ref this post), one should not forget Poirot's secretary, Miss Lemon. I'd totally dig a story about her in which she does indeed discover the perfect filing system.

Hello everybody!
My name is Esther and I'm a book blogger over at Cozy with Books!
While I mainly post book reviews, I occasionally throw up a tag, listicle, bookish meme, and game review as well. I had a studyblr, back in HS/college, that gradually turned into a fandom blog for whatever I was obsessed with at the moment (last I posted was for Fire Emblem 3 Hopes) and now I'm back with a bookblr.
I love reading mystery thrillers, forensic and police procedurals, and suspense books, but I'd say I'm pretty open to most genres now so long as it's fiction. Nonfiction I'm pretty picky at...
Would love to meet some other book bloggers while I continue to poke around Tumblr and try to remember where everything is 😅

Messages
If any of my messages are from real people, the posts get here from my wordpress, lostinmist.blog automatically, I haven't actually been logged in to Tumblr in any significant way in years. The GoFundMe me got deleted because I lost the password and couldn't recreate it and I never got around to making another one. Stupid of me to use a password from a brand new email address I forgot I had. And then some other stuff happened. It wasn't me getting the money though.

[solved] Confirmation (return) links missing on hreflang pages WPML Wordpress
[solved] Confirmation (return) links missing on hreflang pages WPML Wordpress
Hreflang is one of the most important tools for multilingual SEO. WPML is a popular WordPress plugin that allows users to create and manage hreflang tags easily, which ensures that search engines serve the content that matches the user’s preferred language and location.
However, one common issue that can arise with WPML’s hreflang implementation is the absence of confirmation (return) links. This…
