in which wonwoo and reader have more cute moments together in public that send fans into a frenzy

a/n: thank you soooo much for the love the other wonwoo x idol!reader received, it meant the world <3 this could be seen as a part two but it can also be read as a standalone! lmk what you think and pls like and reblog <3

talk about a power couple

the first time that you both get spotted at the airport, there was a mass surge of people and paparazzi trying to capture the perfect shot of you

not only did you have bodyguards form a circle around you both to separate you from the crowds, but the airport security also had to step in and provide another barrier

there were still video footage of wonwoo holding your hand and leading you out at a brisk pace as he followed the bodyguards in front of him

fans couldn’t handle the fact that you both wore matching bucket hats to the airport

there is also footage of him waiting for you to get into the car and away from the paparazzi's eyes before stepping in after you

since his Instagram post that confirmed your relationship, people have been all the more eager to capture moments of you both together publically

there was one day when there were pictures leaked of you both at the park, seemingly towards the end of a picnic date

in defense of you both, you had been at a park that was slightly more secluded and you had been in a corner under a tree

and you had both been wearing masks, but that did not deter fans from being able to recognize you

however, in the pictures, you were both sitting above a picnic blanket, and wonwoo was leaning against the tree that was providing you both with shade

you had your head lying on his lap as you spoke animatedly with your hands, and his own hands were playing with the ends of your hair as he listened to your story

there was another picture of where he was tugging you up from under your arms until your upper body rested on his own and he was hugging you from behind

lastly, there was a short video of you both still in the same position, looking around quickly (yet missing the camera facing in your direction) before removing your masks for a quick selfie

fans begged and pleaded under your posts for you to upload the selfie, but for now, they will have to deal with the grainy footage of you and wonwoo

you were known to tease your fans, so the day you posted a picture of the picnic, it being of the blanket with all the cute food set up, inadvertently confirming you knew about the picnic fiasco, people lost their minds

wonwoo was right behind you posting an instagram story of the sky, covered by the greenery of a very familiar tree...

at award shows, the dynamic between you two is very much similar to how it was before you started dating

you still sit with your respective groups, however, cameras are very much so watching for any and all interactions

especially how the corner of his lips quirk up when you send a bright smile his way

or how he slightly bows his head when your group walks by to approach the stage

whenever your group wins an award, cameras be damned, this man stands to applaud you

(this also prompts the rest of svt to join)

(you have some very enthusiastic cheerleaders thanks to him)

don't worry, he also gets the same treatment from you when svt receives a reward

you are one of the first people on your feet with your hands cupped around your mouth as you cheer along with the rest of the audience

cameras capture your adorable reaction to the win, projecting it on the big screen, and how your group members also join you in cheering

svt members (soonyoung and seokmin) copy your cheering and jumping on stage while seungcheol is giving their acceptance speech

wonwoo has to nudge them to calm down but he has a small grin on his face as he slightly bows in your direction

when walking past each other, you both smile at each other, and the cameras absolutely go OFF when he quickly interlocks his pinky with yours before continuing in opposite directions

despite being a very private person, this man is extremely down bad

when you perform, his eyes do not leave the stage, even leaning forward slightly to catch a better look

is always the first to stand to applaud after your performance

fans always await a photo from the event (especially if you both), and you deliver with a simple picture of both of your dress shoes from the event

when both of your groups have a comeback around the same time, people are begging for a dance collab

especially when other svt members collab with other members form your group

almost all the comments are asking for wonwoo and you

the day that your dance collab drops is the day that your fans will keep replaying

it very quickly became your most watched and liked tiktok video on both of your pages

anytime one of your groups were mentioned, the dance collab was to be mentioned as well

pretty sure it changed the trajectory of some people's lives

good to say that your boyfriend snorted so loud that the lady had to back up into the dressing rooms to look for her pride.

you got jealous because who did she think she was to try and take him away from you?

you took his arm and put it around your hip and the other one holding your hand

it was extensive due to the fact that he was bending over u because his tall frame had to encase your smaller one.

and in your mind you knew that you were totally messing with him, because you already lost the doubt the moment he snorted at the sales lady. but he doesn’t have to know that.

☆ always offers you his shoulder to lean on whenever you yawn

you first met wonwoo in one of your classes, he was seated in the row just behind you. when one day, you were begging one of your friends to send you the notes because you had fallen asleep during your two hour long lecture, wonwoo slowly came forward and lent you his perfect notes, pushing his glasses up his note cutely. you thanked him and bowed so much it almost embarrassed him. after that day, wonwoo realized that you often fell asleep in class and his friend, your seatmate, told him that you normally didn’t get much sleep because of homework and your part-time job. he also realized you both took the same bus so after a lot of hyping up from his friends, he asked if you wanted to sit next to him. whenever you took the bus (with wonwoo by your side), your eyes would close minutes after being seated and your head would fall on his shoulder, leaving the poor boy frozen in place so as to not wake you up. you falling asleep on his shoulder soon became a habit and even years later, wonwoo would always offer you his shoulder whenever he saw you yawn.

☆ softly bites you when he gets the urge

all the people close close to wonwoo have been at least one time the victim of his biting habit. of course, it’s not that bad of a habit but it sure is unexpected. wonwoo, the guy who’s too shy to speak to people and who prefers staying home reading and playing video games over going out, biting people?! where did that nonsense even come from, that’s what you thought to yourself when one of your mutual friends warned you. the latter had noticed the two of you getting closer and thought he should tell you before it was too late (read: before you were going to get bitten). you just brushed it off and decided it was only a joke until you witnessed it yourself. and when a few days after that, you were laughing along with wonwoo and he leaned forward, teeth inches away from your arm, you could only nod confusedly as he seemed to ask for consent by making eye contact. it was a small bite and it didn’t hurt so when he retreated and blushed with an embarrassed smile, you just patted his head, confirming you weren’t mad.

☆ plays absentmindedly with your jewelry

wonwoo has always liked jewelry, he thinks it completes an outfit and he often finds himself stopping in front of jewelry stores. so when you two started dating, it was a given wonwoo would be obsessed with the way the jewelry would look on your skin, the pretty piece of accessory making you shine even more. his first gift to you was a piece of jewelry too and he sighed in relief when you jumped to give him a hug. it was with a big smile that wonwoo helped you put the accessory on. for wonwoo, you wearing the jewelry he’s gifted you is one of the greatest things in the world and he often stares at where the jewelry is, sometimes adjusting it when it’s not in place and sometimes just holding the little piece in his hand, always giving you a kiss close to where it is. and sometimes when he’s been staring at the accessory too long, his hand absentmindedly slips between the jewelry and your skin, playing with it between his fingers, a lovesick grin on his face at the feeling of your skin.

☆ warms up the towels before you shower after a long day

you and wonwoo started talking in the middle of the summer and officially started dating when winter was at its peak. wonwoo would often joke about how the winter helped you two get together and you laughed along every time, but sometimes you do in fact thank the coldest season for having played a big part in your relationship. it all started when the two of you got snowed in at his apartment after having been soaked by the snow a few hours prior. so when you finally arrived at his home, legs jelly from having sprinted, taking a shower was the first thing on your mind. and wonwoo let you go first, picking out some clothes of his you could wear, preparing some hot beverage for you and heating up your towel so that when you’re done, you wouldn’t have to worry about anything at all. it’s something that made you fall even more in love with wonwoo and you thanked him with a kiss, officializing the relationship. From that moment on, whenever you came back to your shared apartment after a long day, wonwoo would prepare everything after you slipped in the shower or bath, throwing your towel in the damper for a few minutes before helping you dry off when you were done.

you meet bc seungkwan from statistics invites you to one of sigma lambda tau's frat parties

you are, of course, a little tipsy

so when seungkwan introduces you to his comp sci frat brother wonwoo, you hop at the opportunity to divulge how bad you are at the stat program you’re forced to use

seungkwan, being the lovely wingman he is, is absolutely thrilled to make wonwoo promise to tutor you

to which he responds…”i don’t know if i’ll really be much help but…sure?”

he’s practically blushing and giggling the whole time, partly because you’re fun and hot and partly because wow where are all these compliments coming from

and of course wonwoo is a huge help because he’s a genius and always downplays his talents

and then he asks you out like a gentleman and you start dating and its bliss, obviously

let’s talk about his little habits

he literally never brags about his knowledge

even if he has a huge accomplishment, you will never find out unless there’s some public announcement about it

apparently he won the highest coding competition in your university but you don’t know until you see his face on the front of the fucking university paper?? (seriously, how does he manage to be an active member of a frat, hang out with you, and do all this other shit)

and you text him a photo of it with a question mark

and he just laughs it off like “oh yeah that’s the coding project i told you i had to work on last saturday lol”

you think its because he’s humble but it’s really just because he’s shy when you dote on and compliment him (which is proven when you buy him a little cake and he can barely meet your eyes)

its the same when you visit his room in the frat house for the first time as well

you walk in his room and he’s all ready to watch a movie and play mario kart and, you know, hopefully…get to other things…

and mingyu has fully put his noise cancelling headphones in because wonwoo has been kind enough to warn the person he shares a wall with!

but all mingyu can hear through his headphones is you screaming “what the hell, how are you so damn talented?” upon seeing every plaque, trophy, and certificate he’s won while being in college

and then he reminds you that you have just as many awards for your major and activities

and you merely side eye him for the betrayal of hiding his nerdiness from you

well, he may not brag, but his nerd tendencies are certainly not hidden

this man is not a literature major OR minor but he takes at least one literature class a year because he has the extra credits and he just fucks with reading like that

you know when he’s stolen a book from you to read because any new word that you have highlighted suddenly starts popping up in his vocabulary

also, wonwoo does NOT play about finals season

he always gets to the library much earlier than you, managing to grasp a decent study room

he leaves a little breakfast sandwich in your spot for when you arrive

if you’re going to study with him, you’re going to study, okay?

if you’re talking nonsense and trying to show him tiktoks during the allotted study time he deadass just will not respond to you

if you leave the study room for one singular second he’s taking your phone and hiding it (he will give it back when the pomodoro timer goes off!)

the one concession is when he sees you dozing off and he knows ur trying your hardest to study. but he pats your head and tells you to get a little nap instead of forcing yourself to study

last but not least

you’re very grateful that he’s in a frat

because it means you have a close, nice place to stay when you wanna get silly and drunk and rowdy with his frat bros and all your friends

and the two of you can leave whenever you want (after he makes sure all your friends are safely tucked in their ubers <3) and go up to his room and play, quite possibly, the most fun game of pubg in your life

and his face is flush and his laughs are loud and you smile because he’s in his happy place and he smiles because you’re his happy place

"ok bitch, first of all, I don't sound like that," you pinched seungcheol's cheek, leaving him scrunching his face in what the rest of the group members couldn't help but laugh off and interpret as pure agony "ow! damn what'd you pinch me for?" soonyoung rolled his eyes, "sickening..." he murmured to himself, dragging out a sip of his chilled bourbon, "and secondly, it's not my fault they haven't figured out a way to make 'em automatically transfer to your phone?! you'd know if what you had bothered to read the instructions token, mister" you playfully huffed.

"yeah, well, that'll teach us to never buy a two-dollar camera again. besides, I've got all those pretty pictures of you engraved in my mind" he chuckled, coming teasingly close to you, soonyoung with a frown less than containable, paying careful attention to the hand that danced its way around your waist from above the table. the hold on his glass visibly tightening, "ehem..." jeonghan pulled him from the boiler room of his thoughts. "you know, I never took you for the jealous kind." he jeered. "oh yeah? that obvious is it?" he placed his glass down on the table, the ice having burned his hand from how long it cupped it. "well, we've changed the conversation about three times and you've been staring at the...lack of a gap between cheol and y/n's waists for the past three minutes or so" his eyes now back to momentarily facing the place of general conversation, returning to see a ticked-off soonyoung. "c'mon aren't you of all people even a little grossed out by the excessive amount of pda right now?" he gestured his hand to the direction of yourself and seungcheol, who currently were giggling to yourselves about whatever seungcheol fucked up this time around. "I dunno, I think they're kinda cute" jeonghan teasingly knocked his shoulder against soonyoung's. he lived for the sole purpose of annoying his friends, and soonyoung was no exception. "I'm gonna go get some fresh air." he abruptly stood up from the table, all eyes now on him, a mix of unphased and all-the-more apparent confusion splashed across the table's faces. "everything alright, sooyoo?" your eyebrows furrowed in confusion, glossy pillowy lips turned down all just the same. oh, how his heart ached and his ears perked all at once at the nickname. expression softening at your concern "just peachy!" a wide grin making its way unknowingly across his face, "let us know if you need anything bud." your boyfriend just couldn't help himself could he. always feeling the need to butt in and ruin things. the sweet gaze you'd bestowed him, he'd quickly tattooed in his mind, now turned bitter by cheol's genuine remark of concern. "will do." soonyoung thumbed up, not even turning to face cheol as he walked out the door.

"what was that about?" jihoon now sat adjacent to jeonghan, filling soonyoung's seat, "mmhhm," he shrugged, "something about bitter and sweet..." it had only occurred to him now as he replayed the night's events that he'd never actually turned back and had gotten all the way home. "fuck..." he muttered. too drained physically and emotionally to turn back and apologize for taking long, even though the bar was across the street. "what's that asshole have that I don't?" he thought, taking his shoes off before placing them on their spotlit shelf before hurriedly moving to the primary bathroom. now disrobing himself and hopping into the shower, the tension leaving his body as the steam fogged up the glass of the box and mirrors. he thought the anxiety had fully rid itself from him, only for it to creep back once he'd made his way out of the shower to see two notifications from you, one being a missed call. his mind raced, thinking of how upset or hurt you must've been for him to have walked out, judging by the time, he was almost certain dinner was long over by now. he hesitantly played the voice note, only to be pleasantly surprised with your honey-coated voice and the soft humming of the car. "hey sooyoo, you left your coat on your seat and you weren't back by the time dinner wrapped up so cheollie and I took your coat for you." a humph of satisfaction erupting from him but your boyfriend's nickname left a bitter taste in his mouth.
