Might or might not be a chapter tonight, having some nerve pain that's been interfering should have recognized it when everything felt overly scratchy yesterday. Fingers crossed.

hello abled person writing a character with a disability. i see you are considering "curing" their disability in your story. before you make that choice, consider: why do you want to do that. what compels you to make that story choice. why would it be necessary. what is the narrative significance of doing that. what message do you believe you may be sending by doing that.
answer correctly or i'm opening the trap door beneath your feet and you're going into the spike pit

god, the ichibi truly is the most terrible bijuu of them all huh. like he's not even that strong, among the bijuus at least he is the weakest but he seems to be so much more terrible to live with than the others. and gaara ... he is not even That strong either? at least not at first, he breaks down all the time. and his jutsu repertoire is not all that various either, his main strength is his defence but after lee breaks it, all the other opponents he faces afterwards manage to break it as well. gaara i think is the epitome of a failed bijuu-host relationship .. his bijuu might be willing to help him by sharing his power with him but that power is too much for him and moreover, the ichibi doesnt help him exactly either, he moreso just uses him as his marionette to sate his own bloodlust .. as opposed to the other, non-jinchuuriki ninjas, gaara has an INSANE level of power and chakra but he cant channel it properly and its too much to handle for him. the image of his sand shield around his body cracking is fitting i think cuz his power quite literally breaks him apart

I understand why Shannon did it and how it ostracized and shaped Sophie's childhood and set up the inciting incident, but I think it's incredibly stupid that Sophie couldn't figure out how to block thoughts on her own and "needed to be taught while awake" or whatever. There was nothing about the process that necessitated another person's guidance--she wasn't really taught, she was basically just told to do it--or was counter intuitive. It's literally the most basic, expected sequence of actions to block thoughts, and Sophie absolutely could've and would've figured that out for herself. Seven years of headaches for a girl who loved fantasy/sci-fi? She would've tried everything, and she would've figured it out! Building a mental wall would be like the first thing you try! Nothing about how it works suggests that the most powerful telepath the world has ever known wouldn't think to build that mental wall between her mind and others' thoughts, and even if she couldn't figure it out immediately because she was too young or something, she would've kept trying because she had the motive (pain) to, and that effort would've been rewarded. It took her no time at all to learn in canon, it's not a difficult skill. I know why it was done, but it's stupid and unless I'm forgetting something major she totally should've been able to block thoughts on her own long before she was "taught". it's necessary to the story as it was established, but I don't like the logic used; it's thin and contradictory

physical disability "accessibility": "hey we half-assed allowing people with mobility aids to technically be able to get into our building (AKA only one entrance w an automatic door that works 30% of the time) while not considering for anyone else, especially people without use of their hands/arms. aren't we so progressive? what do you mean "it's not enough?" god you people want everything ://"

ok so. ford has the physical durability and sheer self-destructive work ethic that every minimum wage job expects from their workers. however ford would not SURVIVE most minimum wage jobs. this man was basically hand-crafted by the powers that be for the job of Being Chased Across The Multiverse By Bill Cipher and maybe being a mad scientist. any other job just doesn't work. you put ford behind a customer service desk or a retail counter or put him in a warehouse or a call center and he just spontaneously combusts
