Do you know/have any good resources for knot magic?

I’ve been braiding my hair every night before I go to bed, cause it’s super long and I like to keep it from getting tangled, and I thought about maybe looking into knot magic to see if I could find some way to incorporate my hair braiding into my craft! I hope that doesn’t sound too silly lol

I've gotten a lot of ideas from Cord Magic by Brandy Williams. This is something I'm just starting to get into - most of my knot magic or cord magic is done with a crochet hook or a simple braid.

Knot Magic by Sarah Bartlett also has good reviews, but I haven't read it yet.

I'd also suggest talking to witches who do fibre arts like sewing, embroidery, weaving, knitting, crocheting, and so on. They might have some additional ideas!

....I could swear I've got a spell around here that involves hair braid magic, one sec.

Is learning Irish the same thing as learning Irish-Gaelic? Or are those two different languages?

Yes they are the same. It gets confusing because some places call it Irish, others say Irish Gaelic, some just say Gaelic, and it's hard to know what's what.

There's Irish Gaelic (Gaeilge) and Scots Gaelic (Gàidhlig), which is why the distinction is made. Same root language, different dialects. So you'll see the Irish language listed as Irish, Irish Gaelic, or the proper term Gaeilge. (Manx also descends from the same linguistic roots!)

I know this is like a totally innocuous comment but I need you to know that my friends in highschool used to call me out on this regularly. I excel at getting attached to a character and analyzing them down to their bare bones, like I’m studying a bug under a microscope. It’s like my weird hidden talent XD

I did the same thing when I got into dragon age in HS. NEVER played any of the fucking games but I distinctly remember getting into a heated debate about the politics of the game during lunch because I read the wiki front to back lmao.

That reminds me of how me and a friend from high school used to have a discord server where we would rp as different characters depending on our current hyperfixation and that is how i found out i had a natural talent for roleplay because i was able to nail almost every character's personality and mannerism.

Tbh it probably helps that i usually picked my favourite characters that i have autistically studied and watched their scenes over and over again.
