I Have always shared my favorite things with my fiends. Why gatekeep? Ive shared all sorts of favorite: Hair products. Restaurants. Salon. Manicurist. Vacation/hotel recommendations. Boutique. Shoes & accessories. Even the drug store mascara I was loyal to and talked about constantly 🤪 Friends trusted me to help them in these decisions, because I shared about all those things & places I loved; on Social Media.🤷🏻‍♀️(I’m too much of an introvert to be out in public & say it in person lol) When asked about joining my company; I said “no” to this about more times than I can count 🤪 My excuse: I didn’t have the “skill” or the “time”. I mean, mom of triplets with too many appts with drs, therapies, nutritionists, and some medical concerns (we were traveling 8hrs to Houston for appts every 2-3 months) ? There was no way I could possibly do anything else?!?!? My point is; I was already DOING what I do now..... but received nothing in return for it! #Insane Friends, NOTHING has changed in how I spend my time on social media. I just get paid to do it now & teach others to do it, too. 💜 . . Seriously. It’s been 9 years. I share what I love, and I get paid for it. Did you wash your face this morning? Apply moisturizer? Makeup? Mascara? Take your collagen supplement? Use a magnetic lash? Think about it…. Saturday’s are made for outdoor fun. 🤣⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Bikes and gear bags dropped off. Feeling the heat today but tomorrow will be a totally different story with the high of 61.⁣ ⁣ Interestingly there are only 1,300 of us set to race tomorrow compared to our previous races with over 2k athletes. The oldest male and female athletes is 78 and 71 respectively. The youngest is only 18. ACTIVISM

There is a plethora of social movements that have impacted not only the globe, but also on how the public utilise social media to convey their messages.

In my opinion, one of the biggest global issues that have sparked individuals across multiple generations to become activists is the right to education; especially for girls.

The Business Insider (2018) had rated that the lack of rights towards education is the eighth most critical problem in the world according to the millennials. Now, I am not exactly a feminist by any stretch of the imagination. However, I do believe that education is extremely important in order for us to solve to be able to solve the current issues of the world and beyond. And I do believe that every person on this very planet is entitled to a good education, regardless of their background, gender and upbringing.

I also love that there are many people taking adequate action to ensure girls around the world get the education and qualifications that they are capable of and should deserve.

One prominent activist in this field is the incomparable Malala Yousafzai, who is a Pakistani activist that championed for female education. She is extremely inspirational for everyone I’m sure, but especially for me because even though she was shot by the Taliban, and basically threatened by the extremist group; she became even more persistent and established the Malala Fund to ensure all girls around the world have the right to be educated.

I personally really admired her strength, courage, determination, and passion. And it just made me realise that when there is a strong will, each and every one of us is able to take action for whatever it is that they are passionate about. I believe that there is a bit of an activist side in all of us.

Whilst I was browsing through Malala’s website, one thing that really struck me was specific statistic that said how more working women might just add up to $12 trillion US dollars towards global growth. What this signified to me is how small consistent action by one person can inspire individuals all over the world to contribute in some way to make this world a better place to live for everyone.

I think this is what activism is all about. Being courageous, thinking of others, having the urge to solve the bigger problems and inspire the entire globe in the process. This is what I love about activism and this is why I love Malala and her initiative.
