Shiro is the Leader of the Heroes (VLD). Also the cinammon roll ready to sacrifice himself for his friends.

Look at him. Look how caring and gentle this giant is.

It would be a shame if this fatherly buffy fluffy figure was main whumpee of the whole series, getting kidnapped, electrocuted, experimented on, forced to fight on te arena, restrained by wrists to the ceiling, of course relieving trauma with hallucinations and other fun stuff.

But he was.

He was a perfect Whumpee.

Leader Whumpee.

Yas.

My Favorite Whump Scenes- Part 1

Although I am happy to consume almost any whump there is, I find myself coming back to some scenes in particular. Here is a list of some of my favorite whump scenes so far, hope you like it and maybe you'll find some new shows out of it (Most of the series will have more whump, but I will just include scenes that I found particularly intriguing :0 ). I will also try to not discuss any spoilers aside form whump and will not include whump that lead to death until otherwise noted (I like my comfort too afterwards soooo…..)

1)Series name: The Unit -Episode: Season 3 episode 7 (“Five Brothers”) -Whumpee: Charles Grey -Type of whump: Oh my, what does it not have? Gunshot wounds, the whumpee getting weaker, field surgery, being in a dangerous situation without access to hospital and medical equipment, passing out, asking the worried friends to leave him, CPR, carrying the whumpee, blood loss… Check, check, and check! Also there is a comfort and hospital scenes afterwards :) TW: This episode is pretty heavy in its setting, with recent events, please be careful in watching since one of the characters is forced to shoot a young adult. It also depicts war and how civilians are greatly affected by the fighting and other countries’ involvement. -Whump list availability: You can find most of the whump on ---Whumpapedia and the main Google Whump spreadsheet. There is a bit more, but most of it probably can be find online or just by watching the show. -More: This show is my guilty pleasure and surprisingly pretty good. Sure it can be cheesy sometimes and the last season is a bit wonky, but I fell in love with the main team. What I also like is that the morality is not black and white all the time, sure we know who we are rooting for, but some episodes are quite heavy if you think about it. Otherwise, there are many good whump episodes for almost all of the characters and I find the bromance and the plot of the show to be enjoyable. Also, for some reason it also focuses on the wives of the characters- Just skip all of their segments, half of them are so annoying and really unnecessary for the plot.

-Series name: Sea patrol -Episode: Season 1 episode 4 (“Irukandji”) -Whumpee: Toby “Chefo” Jones (and one more) -Types of Whump: Bad reaction to jellyfish sting, screaming from pain, delirious, concerned friends, CPR, morphine, sweating, far away from Hospital and any medical professionals. -Whump list availability: You can find most of the whump on Whumpapedia and the main Google Whump spreadsheet and a beautiful tumblr list by @what-the-whump -More: Another of my guilty pleasure shows, the plot is a bit wonky and cheesy at times (plus they really have dropped the ball on character development for half of the characters who really had such a bright future and that, unfortunately, makes them look like stale crackers at best and borderline racists at worst. I mean they try, but they made some characters dirty :( ) there is a decent amount of whup and the premise and setting of the show is unique. At least I haven't seen a lot of shows like that.

-Series name: The Doctor Blake Mysteries -Episode: Season 4 episode 1 (The Open Road) -Whumpree: Matthew Lawson -Types of Whump: Pushes his subordinate out of the way of a car, hit by said car, resetting the bone without anesthesia, worried friends and aftercare. Plus his friend got so pissed at the perpetrator that he threatened to blow the henchmen away with dynamite…. Idk, I found that really neat. Later returns with a cane. Whump list availability:You can find most of the whump on Whumpapedia and the main Google Whump spreadsheet. -More: I like these kind of British, timey, police procedural shows, so I watch them just for the funsies and whump is just a cherry on top of a metaphorical ice cream. The plot is pretty good, but this is not going to be everyone's type of show.

-Series name: Suspicious partner (kdrama) -Episode: Season 1 episode 25 (Attributable Reasons) -Whumpee: Officer Bang -Types of Whump: For real, one of my favorite whump scenes that I found in kdrama, the characters’ reactions are so juicy :) First we have a fight, stabbing, friends finding the whumpee, guilt, hospital, kinda coma for a few episodes, and so much emotional whump. -Whump list availability: Almost nothing, besides dome post for ML on tumblr :( I myself stumbled on this due to a complete, but happy, accident. -More: The acting is from the ML towards the whumpee was top notch, but it is a bit too long. It has a nice central romance, but since I am not too interested in romance I honestly can't talk too much about it. Although I know people enjoy it, it is worth the watch from the beginning to see how it develops. To be honest, I found this drama accidentally by searching the Whumpee's actor on tumblr since he is one of the main characters from Taxi driver kdrama and I saw this one Whump post…. I couldn't pass up on that opportunity…. Anyways, the actors, plot, and acting is pretty good, so I think most people would enjoy the watch (except for that random kind they found for a case (?) at the end- he is sooooo annoying to me ). By the way, not the only whump in the series, but in my opinion it's the best and its pretty light on whump otherwise.

The thing about Söz was that there was nothing in particular that I didn't like, everything was good from the charcters to direction and cinematography. But something didn't click with me, I wasn't invested in the story for me to sit down for hours to watch each episode. So I don't know, I am just weird like that 😅

It's totally normal not to like the story of a show. You're not weird at all. I've experienced this with many shows, and as you said, it's better to find something else than spend hours watching something you don't enjoy. Especially when turkish shows have episodes even longer than 2 hours. This really surprised me when I started to watch them.

When someone asks me what I would recommend to them, I usually don't know how to answer because at that moment I just can't remember anything I've seen. But you're lucky, so let me recommend something whumpy to you.

The protector - physical and emotional whump, good characters, quite short episodes

Muhteşem Ikili - basically the main character is sick through the whole series

Hercai - more emotional whump than physical but there are still some good physical whump scenes

Hekimoğlu, Kalp Atışı, Kasaba Doktoru - these are medical shows so there's whump almost all the time

I want to choose him as a companion to another pet, which one do you recomend?

It's very impressive that she seems to remember their hash by memory, tho she notices you are a bit lost in the numbers and points to the one she is refering to on the flyer.

you aslo notice this is a quite expansive one as well. the one you chose initially is cheap, but this one has a significantly higher price, not absurd, but surely not as "simple" as the other one. huh, you feel like there is a game at play here...

"he is very usefull, you can basically leave the household for him to take care, although his training isn't anything special: a few dozen tricks, the usual cleaning, cooking and basic first aid skills... very recomended for new owners and owners with special need pets, such as #860617, and w-"

she is suddenly cut off by another worker, a man in a jumsuit, he seems to be a trainer as well, tho a lot bigger and stronger than than the lady you were talking to.

"we've already got them set on the other room." he says and signs to a door by the end of the hallway.

"oh great! could you follow me for a moment?" the lady asks you "there you'll get to meet them, very quickly isn't it?" she asks, mostly as a compliment to their own facility.

you enter the room and there are the 2 pets siting in the center of the room: #860617 and #984772. Their position is very... well posed, for the lack of a better word. #860617 is covered by bandages maching his sking color, he seems to be quite unconfortable in this position but stays still, he is staring at the floor, sometimes peeking up t at your face, but trying his best to not keep eye contact. The other pet, however has a expectant smile, almost like a puppy, very plesant. the discrepancy between them is like night and day.

The lady makes sure to show them to you through every angle and makes them do some simple tricks: sit, beg, down... and after that they go back to their previous position.

"so, if everything is fine for you we can already crate them and ship them to your home right away, what do you think?" the lady asks you.

my recommendations usually initially come from @peachy-panic and she has a big list of recs (which include almost all of these) that you can see here

TWs + notes (not particularly spoilery but some might consider spoilers) off the top of my head under cut:

Foxhole Court/Raven King/King's Men/Sunshine Court - noncon, abuse, CSA mention, torture, emeto, med whump, lots of sports talk, tender tender caretaking, burning/branding, murder, mafia shit, etc, excellent 11/10 recomend

Docile - noncon, noncon drugging, institutionalized slavery, very BBU coded, i have major issues with this book but undeniably whumpy

Captive Prince Series - fantasy slave whump, noncon, noncon drugging, whumper becomes caretaker, whipping, branding, minor assault, etc, i loved this series heavily when it was posting on LJ, she made some changes and published, very whumpy, best whipping that i know of

A Little Life - devastating, CSA, child abuse, noncon, whipping, self harm + suicide themes, +++ i perrrssonnaally love a little life but some might say it's a smidge excessive on the suffering

The Darkness Outside Us - more emotional whump than physical with some physical whump, i loved this book so much i have such fond memories of reading it, the sequel comes out next month

HappyHead - conditioning, cult-like shit, drugging, ++, this was decently whumpy and the set up to a VERY whumpy sequel which also comes out this month

Tarot Sequence series - noncon, lots of basic physical whump like injuries and fights and stuff, this has a fair deal of whump and sets up some mega-whumpy future books, but the author is on an update schedule like mine where.. might get a book tomorrow, might have to wait three years (there's 6 books left in the series, 3 out now)

First Become ashes - noncon, self harm, weird fucking book but some scenes are burned into my memory, this was from the same author as docile and not unlike docile, has some issues but fjasklfdjadsk

I SPOT A STARKID REFERENCE

And I will now use this as a chance to give more musical whump recommendations.

Obviously you've seen TGWDLM and assuredly many other starkid shows, so I shall skip those. The next musical whump I will recommend to you is Sweeney Todd, most specifically the scene at Foggs Asylum (I got to play Mr. Fogg in a community theatre production of Sweeney Todd, I have some great production photos a can share if you like, with faces blurred out). Fogg is basically a giant creepy whumper who sells his insane asylum patients hair and is a giant fkn creeper about it, weilds a pair of scissors, and calls all the patients his "children".

NEXT I recommend the song "Court of Miracles" from Hunchback of Notredame, specifically the musical version of it, not the Disney movie. This musical is so very whumpy, Id recomend you watch the entire thing bc Frollo is SOMETHING ELSE but that song is. MMMM. It has the King of the [Romani] singing at the main characters about how he's going to kill them in a silly little whumper way, it's amazing.

Prompt lists

Starting on some of the nuts and bolts of making tic tac tales cards. I figure there will be a number of general categories used in all cards, and some that people will request (theoretically, you could even ask for two or three of a catagory you really like, and they would be placed to not appear in the same line.)

So far for general, I have :

Place - Triskelon, Stark Tower, helicarrier, Avengers Compound, Siberian base, Lagos,

Event - Loki's invasion, Dark Elf Invasion, Ultron, Thor's banishment, Civil War, The Snap, the return, Insight, Culver battle, Abomination battle, Stark Expo

Character - Peirce, Fury, Romanoff, Rogers, Barton, Rollins, Winter Soldier, Sharon Carter, Hill, Sam Wilson, 

Weapon - handgun, shock sticks, sniper rifle, powered gauntlets, boot knife, 

Image - I don't accumulate image files, so I'll need help on this one. My vague plan is to place an image in the center spot, but allow everyone to choose another square to swap it with, so you can place the prompt you vibe with most in the point of most connections.

If you have suggestions for other good generic categories or additions for these, by all means say so!

Optional but generic categories I've thought of : AUs, Romance, Smut, Whump, Action. If anyone has other suggestions and/or can recomend good lists for these, lemme know.

Some custom optional categories : Tropes, as in ones specifically applied to Rumlow. HYDRA, people places slogans etc. Hydra Trash Party would be common tropes, objects and maybe some of the more widely used OCs? Grillo-verse because there's a reasonably common fic type using other Frank Grillo roles for crossovers, twins and/or Multiverse shenanigans.

(I have heard of c.i.p.a. before, but I didn't know the name, so @angst-after-dark made the favour of explaining me and I did a bit of research - it is a disease characterized by the inability of feeling pain and insensibility to temperatures, which can be very dangerous to the patient, and can lead to many accidents and episodes of self-harm, and lead to have the patient sick often, since they don't sweat - a natural mechanism of the body to regulate temperature - and hurt themselves a little often. I'm not an expert, of course, since I only found it out a few hours ago, and it may have some informations missing here, but it looked interesting to share.)

If you're into whump/bbu I hightly recomend this series!

But it has a huge amount of non-con (aka sexual abuse) so be careful if you don't like it or has sensibility to it. All the chapters have trigger warnings.

Semi-Obscure Media Whump (part 1)

[A Series of me finding whump scenes from a not well known media]

Would only recommend this for the character whump. The whole story (which has an actually interesting setting, commentary, and characters)  is ruined for me by the relationship between the 2 main leads. Although the ML age is appropriate for the narrative of the story, the romance with the Fl just feels so weird and borderline illegal? The ML is about 11/12 years old and FL (although never specifically stated) is somewhere in the range of 16-18. Although the story is SFW, their relationship is still so weirdly grown up (?). Which is yeah, the ML supposed to represent a child who had to grow up too fast and lost the ability to appreciate the world and became too jaded from the horrors of violence and hardship, buuuut…. For me, the story would have worked with a younger brother- older sister platonic relationship and not just because I am AroAce. Other characters Also, a later chapter contains attempted SA (between the LF and a later side antagonist), so read at your own risk, but this was not something I greatly enjoyed.

Character: Neil

A butler character who is really loyal to the ML and has a somewhat fatherly/older brother relationship with the ML.

Chapter: 79 (page 22-end)- 80 (whole chapter)

Whump: Getting sick/Overworking/collapsing/worried friends/taken care of/scars reveal (on the back)

Chapter: 110 (beginning to end) 

Whump: Shielding someone/nicked with a knife/fighting/self sacrifice/worried friends/presumed dead/rescued (in later chapters)

There is an anime for this manga, but it only covers like the first arc (?), so it sadly doesn't include any of this whump.

Additionally: He also has some emotional and physical whump in his backstoy- comes right after this chapter.

Yeah, so, I made another Whump OC! He dosn't have a name yet, and I'm taking suggestions, but anyway, he's an alien from a VERY, VERY tiny planet, I mean like The size of a single mountain. Now, a while back, a MASSIVE alien race took over everywhere, and grabbed a few of each speices to study on, while enslaving the rest. This unlucky guy's planet was only just discovered. It's a really upbeat, happy place, and he's still kept a tad of optimism through the dehumanizing expirements. But...He doesn't know how much longer he can take it...

More on him later, please recomend names!

btw just letting you know i just started following you, and honestly, in my perspective, the people that are into the amrev only hate the hamilton fandom people that dont separate the piece of art from actual history

lots of people in there (me included) love the songs and everything about it, just the part of the fandom that again, dont know how to diferenciate history from art interpretation

so dont worry about interacting with people from there, trust me, we all adore a good fanfic doesnt matter from who, you can trust me on that!

ooo yeah i can understand that!! i've been in the hamilton fandom for a while and there have definitely been... things and moments that can be kind of strange. trust, I've encountered a lot. it's important to remember that most of this is just for fun and not actually have any hero-worship or false ideologies spread and spoken as truth. that's the part that always gets me about hamilton hate is when people try to act like all of us take it as literal as some people do. it's a piece of fiction above all else. like no one is out here taking my fanfiction literally, so we shouldn't take lin's fanfiction literally either. i hope amrev/other fandoms i like know i'm not one of those types.

and thank you so much!! the fanfic ppl read the most from me is "the price of his war" series, but it's quite dark and has more than a few tws. if you ship lams (and want more historical-based depictions!!) bloom and punishable affections would be a great place! if you're more inclined to whump/angst though, my whumptober fic has a lot!! once again, thank you so much for being interested xoxo
