I haven't actually decided on whether or not the other Addison's were good or bad guys. This would change their reaction to seeing Spamton.

I had this idea that Spamton's world is a lot like Seam and Jevil's. Its more cruel and wicked than the original Deltarune.. And Spamton might not have been particularly close with the other Addison's.. They had no time for bonds or relationships. It was a dog eat dog world, every man for himself.

Branching off of that, one idea I had was the other Addison's had become jealous of Spamton's success and tried to kill him by pushing him into the acid pools.. Only for Spamton to survive and reemerge as a horrific looking creature..

If I go with the evil Addison story.. some Addison's might run away in fear just because of how horrific Spamton looks. Though some might deliberately abandon him becuase they hated him/were jealous of him and felt like he deserves this.

If I go with a story where the other Addison's weren't responsible for the acid fall.. they might still run away in fear. Seeing this horrible beast.. not realizing its one of their own.

Oh no no, his top and bottom row of teeth are separate. Like these pictures here show,

The top row of teeth all fused together and became one big cracked tooth. And the bottom row did the same. But the two rows are separate and he can still open his mouth.

To think that if while he was initially melting, he had kept his mouth closed? His teeth would have melted together and he wouldn't be able to eat anything easily.. if at all.

Buuuut,,, maybe from Bonnie bowl you could also get one of Bonnies signature bowling balls? A purple bowling ball with a rabbit ears print on it somewhere.

And for Pirates Cove perhaps a cheap pirate captains hat? I had this idea that there's 100s of these cheap captain hats that Foxy gives away to the kids every day. So maybe that could be a collectable too? :00

Yeah, me and some friends theorized about that. We thought "Maybe Vanessa or William is taking care of the animatronics and keeping them clean"

But even if they were, you cant help certain wears and tears. They would look noticeably worn, stained, torn in some places and a bit brittle in others after so many years of just existing.

They also missed out on a lot of scares by making them pristine. Bonnie's face could have had a crack/split down the side. "Oh yeah that's been there for a while, its fine" Only for it to fall of later in the movie revealing these piercing red eyes and a Childs head lodged in Bonnie's face/jaw.

Or Chica could have her beak come off or dangle down and reveal colorful wires hanging down.. and.. is that a childs arm.?

The basic idea for my Kirby AU is that I took the other metaknight's and added them to the Kirby Right back at Ya universe :00 I cant remember what info I shared before because this ask was sent so long ago.. but I'll just recap Axe Knights story because it has the most detail!

Axe Knight was Metaknight's first follower, and best friend. He was with Metaknight from the very beginning. They became star warriors together when they were both a bit young. Axe Knight truly believed in Metaknight. He saw greatness in his friend, he saw a true hero. And he truly believed Metaknight was going to end this war and save the world. Its because of this adoration and belief, that Axe Knight devoted himself to Metaknight and proclaimed himself to be his first follower.

It was not too long after when tragedy struck. A battle broke out and Axe knight sacrificed himself to protect Metaknight. As he lay on the ground, dying from his sacrifice.. he saw Metaknight too laying on the ground nearby. Unmoving, and in a pool of his own blood. Axe knight died with his heart twisted in grief. Thinking that his sacrifice had failed. And that his best friend had died.

Metaknight of course survived, and Axe Knights sacrifice was the only thing that saved him. But Axe Knight didn't know that before he died. Metaknight buried his best friend and left that planet in grief. Forever changed by this loss..

But Axe Knight.. wasn't totally gone. Axe died grieving, thinking that this world lost a great warrior; Metaknight. Thinking that it was so cruel Metaknight didn't get to live longer. To travel the universe and save lives. They were robbed of a hero. Because of Axe Knights failure. His soul was so disturbed that it couldn't move on. He later crawled out of his grave, with a fiery determination to make things right. To go out there and save as many lives as possible. To protect anyone he can and to help all who need him. Because that's what Metaknight would have done.

Eventually after years of blindly wandering the universe.. battling monsters and saving innocents.. he crosses paths with dreamland. He finds himself in a little town full of Cappys.. And then he runs in to a familiar face...

I was going to draw a comic of Jangles making a vlog style video. "Hey guys, welcome to pranking with Jangles. Today I'm gonna prank Bibi by throwing this cheese slice at his face!"

He sneaks up behind Bibi who is sitting on a beanbag and reading or something- "Hey Bibi" He turns around

Jangles throws the cheese slice and it completely misses and just splats on the ground. "Oh oops"

I love the dissonance that happens when the players have a different interpretation of certain characters than Anthony and you can tell.

Like Veronica Marlowe, I love her, but she formed a band as a teen and yet won't let Scary play guitar? She's fairly chill about Scary running off to Seattle but has an opinion on torn up jeans?

But the dissonance can be fun! I'm sitting here poking it like it's a stir fry and listening to it sizzle.

So...now that I've let it cook, I present: Some Veronica Marlowe head canons.

We see in Hell, the projection version of Scary's dad asking for money, due to her past history of lending him money when she probably couldn't afford it means that money is tight in the Marlowe household.

Having her ex depend on her for money in the past means she feels really uncomfortable with Terry Jr. helping out with the finances. So when it comes to things for herself or for Scary, Veronica wants the money to be from her own account.

This is probably why Terry had to tell her where he hid the "in case I die" money, because she wasn't going to be okay dipping into any of his cash while he was alive.

And if you think Scary is going to accept any gift from Terry Jr. if he decides to buy things out of his own money, that's not a thing.

So she sees Scary's rebel phase and recognizes it as something similar to what she went through, and is pretty sure it's not going to last a particularly long time. So is she going to dish out for a guitar and private lessons from her own tight budget when she can't be sure Scary will even still be interested in guitar in five months? She can, however, handle renting a cello and knowing that Scary will be able to get free lessons in Orchestra at school.

Money is tight and you can't untear jeans. She doesn't want to have to buy a whole new bunch of pants when Scary decides she's over the goth thing. Scary only recently finished a massive growth spurt and those pants were supposed to last!

Not spending money on a tongue piercing that probably isn't going to be a thing her daughter will want later (and add a dash of the same reasons Freddie's dad says it's a bad idea to get piercings around the mouth and nose.)

So in essence, these are not a conflict in values, per se. It's a financial problem getting in the way of a situation that Veronica otherwise would probably be very willing to empathize with her daughter over.

*cracks knuckles* Now did I really need to take the time to make those things line up? No, but it's fun and helps flesh out a character with a shameful lack of air time.

Are we dealing with alchemists looking for The Philosopher's Stone?

(I will be referencing partially to the ARG, most importantly to the so called Klaus sheet that has german version on categories the OIAR team is using, and some light spoiler to The Magnus Archives, so beware).

We're four episodes in and cross-referencing each episode so far, there seems to be few things that connect most of them:

an orchestrator

a medium

an obsession

a transformation

Each episode so far mentions some type of third party being involved in the incident: Harriet Winstead mentions a "consultant" that was supposed to help her see Arthur, RedCanary mentions getting harrased by an anonymous stalker, Daria commissions Ink5oul for a tattoo, Dr Samuel Webber mentions seeing his dead wife "Maddie" who stops him from tampering with the transformation (could be a hallucination, but could also be somebody using his delirioum to impersonate her) and today we've got a mention of a "giftgiver" who gave The Violinist the Violin.

Additionally each incident mentions some type of specific medium the characters came into contact with: The Box, The Violin, The Ink (cross referenced in Klaus sheet from the ARG), The Garden (as in plants in the garden). The exception being the Harriet, but we don't know yet what "caused" ressurection of Arthur. This is important, because in TMA items and "mediums" weren't actually all that common, it was very often stressed that relics were medium for the fears to use directly (with people only doing their bidding), not to be handled by others as a medium.

Lastly each episode talks obsession and/or transformation and oh boy, let me tell you about bunch of guys historically obsessed with tranforming stuff through different mediums:

"It's not very suprising, alchemical symbols are everywhere throughout the podcast!" you might say. True, but let's take into consideration, what excactly is a goal of an alchemist? Well the answer is quite simple and there is actually three of them. The Three Goals of Alchemy are:

To turn base metals into noble ones

To discover the recipe for a Philosopher's Stone

To find the Elixir of Life that gives eternal youth and defies death

All of them refer to some type of recipie of method, so where are the recipies? Under our own noses. The recipies are the DPHW catalogue and the database Freddie is sending the incident reports to is an alchemical cookbook! Each entry is categorized something like that:

CAT$$$R&&#### - theme (specification) -/- subtheme [medium]

Some specifications:

$ - are a conbination of numbers 1, 2 and 3. They do not always appear in threes, sometimes it's just 3, sometimes 12 (as in 1 and 2) so forth. These has been widely theorized to be related to the The Tria Prima, a group of three materials which occupy a position of prominence in alchemy: Sulphur(🜍), Mercury(☿) and Salt(🜔) or as they are also characterized Soul, Mind and Body. If we assign each of them a number with 1 being Soul, 2 being Mind and 3 being body, they so far align with the main "components" of each incident or realms they deal in.

R - either appears or not, it was theorized this is a RANK and that previous files were simply misfiled by Sam, but to me it also could be REGIA as in Aqua Regia (🜆) where we are to assume the R was added to the previous element (Aqua (🜄) + Regia (R)). The meaning behind assigning some some incidents the rank of regia has yet to be explained though.

& - these are letters C, BC, B, AB, A and S signifying a rank (or rang in the Klaus sheet) . Lets ignore that S for a second, but they seem to be stages and half stages, well there can't possibly a concept of four stages in alchemy? Let me introduce you to the Magnum Opus (Great Work). Basically each alchemical project went through four stages: nigredo (black), albedo (white), citrinitas (yellow) and rubedo (red) with rubedo specifically signifying a great discovery was made and Magnum Opus was a success, but it does not necessairly mean an alchemical goal was reached.

To summarize, numbers one C-A signify stage of the project, with S, that appears once on mostly redacted cell in the Klaus sheet, signifying that not only the final stage was reached, but the project has been a success.

This could mean a finished Magnum Opus is out there, developed in the field of the Soul and related to the mysterous Mr. B.

# - these numbers are still a mystery, I do have some theories myself, but to summaries I think they are grades and some type of combination (I think it's either 9999, 0000 (as in all 10s) or perhaps 7777 (7 being the most important alchemical number)). Basically a specific combination could imply the specific discovery could be categorized as a Philosopher's Stone. What that could mean for the narrative? We will see, but I suspect it's an alchemical equivalent to an eldritch nuke in this universe.

Last thing to support my theory, the OIAR logo. The lion and the unicorn are obviously symbols for the United Kingdom, as this is a government office, and the words undearneath are "we will not falter" (probably reference to the paranormal incidents they deal with) the rest though?

Alchemical symbols for Salt, Mercucry and Sulphur are right there, all encompassed by an upside-down version of The Philosopher's Stone symbol; The Greatest Magnum Opus:

As to what the Magnum Opus are in TMAGP, each incident has an item associated with it, I noticed that the characters do not get corrupted by people directly this season, but through the use of items like ink, instruments, plants.

I kinda have this comfort headcanon that Mike is genderfluid cause I like projecting my own identity/sexuality onto my fav characters and cause I need some wholesome and gender accepting content (More under the cut)

I feel like Mike has just recently discovered he was genderfluid because he never really thought about questioning his identity cause really...his mind was always full with other things. Maybe he randomly read the word and the definition somewhere and it just...clicked. Or Ness, who's really into the subject rambled about some terms anf what they meant and he went like: "Hold on, thats me!"

He usually just sticks with hoodies/plain shirts no matter what he's feeling like cause it's the safest option...and because he cant afford that many outfits anyways.

When he told Abby, he struggled to find the right words, afraid she wouldn't understand but she does. Kids are smart

Mike told her over dinner and it probably went sth like: "So sometimes I have a big brother and sometimes I have a big sister?" "Uh, yes..." "And sometimes you're neither?" "...yes." "Cool. Can I have some more soup?"

We already know she's creative and likes to draw, maybe she's interested in anything that has to do with crafting and makes pins/bracelets in different colors or sth for Mike in school that he can wear so she knows which pronouns to use.

And to throw in some securitywaiter:

Mike was already dating Ness when he found out he was genderfluid because Ness is really invested with everything that has to do with the LGBT community. He's loud and proud and loves to go to pride parades and stuff. He also introduced him to all the different terms.

When Mike told him, he was really supportive. He even lets Freddie wear a bandana with the genderfluid flag most of the rime to show his support and Mike still wonders where he got it.

Ness changes pet names and compliments depending on how Mike feels

Mike feeling pretty euphoric when she hears a "Hey beautiful" or simply the word "girlfriend" on a girl day

Mike cant really choose a good name for such days, she'd just stick with Mikey or Michel, but feels like they're too plain. Abby and Ness saw it as their job to pick the perfect name and have already spent enough time doing research on different names and their meaning

For some reason I feel like Ness would be good with Make Up and would offer to do her Make Up or help her when she wants to try out something else

Mike actually struggles most days to detect what they're feeling like and just groans in frustration when Ness asks them (cause thats a whole mood) and Ness sticks with neutral terms of endearment when that is the case or uses the funniest pet names ever lmao "Okay, today is just a cute potatoe day then." "Hello my beloved gremlin." etc

Surprisingly my first writing for Tumblr reached a lot of people, it wasn't a boom, but it's more people than I expected, so here we are, I'm going to drop a few headcanons that I have of Glamrock Freddy with a S/O who has ADHD, because long live the self-projection

Warning because idk, it's cool remember this: These are my headcanons, emphasis in MY headcanons, If you don't see these characters acting a certain way, that's cool, I'm not writing this to affect your vision of the character, I'm writing this to entertain

Oh and before i forget to mention, english isn't my native language, so if something isn't understood in the text, please let me know, thanks and i hope you like it<3

🐻.– He knows what ADHD is, but he has a general notion of what it is, he doesn't really know how affects people or how to help you

🐻.– Poor bear, he would be so confused, but he would stay by your side, he really wants to help you (even if he doesn't know what to do)

🐻.– Freddy would start doing a lot of research for you, he wants you to feel comfortable and if he wants to achieve that, he must learn how to do it and have information that helps

🐻.–Freddy could STOP and CANCEL a performance, if he sees that the noise of the music is affecting you, he would take you to a calmer place and check that everything is okay, that your ears don't hurt and that you're not dazed

🐻.–Several times it happens that you tell him something interesting that happened to you, and he has to remind you what you were saying to continue the story; because there are many tangents you go off on before properly finishing the story. That doesn't really bother Freddy, but he wants to know how it ends and he can't know until you finish telling him, with tangents and everything

🐻.– It also happens a lot, that you two are talking quietly and you look everywhere and you have your gaze fixed on the other thing you saw, and you ask yourself a lot of questions, the color, the shape, where it was made, whatever, you start to ramble, Freddy notices this and calls you, you quickly turn your gaze towards him. You apologize instantly, cause now he will have to repeat what he was saying, but Freddy completely understands and doesn't get mad at you, he knows you're not doing it on purpose, it's something unconscious that you can't control

🐻.– Sometimes you two are walking next to a window and at one point Freddy stops to look to the side. And he realizes that you stayed enjoying the view, contemplating the sky, it almost gave him a heart attack to see you so beautiful, mesmerized by the night sky and a look of wonder on your face. You noticed that he was looking at you and you started beckoning him to join you, Freddy follows your orders and you two stay admiring the starry sky

🐻.– He is so patient with you, even if you forget important things he told you, you lose things, even if you are late for dates because you lose track of time, he would reassure you it was ok

🐻.– As a consequence, for the next time, he begins to leave you notes and reminders of things you had pending, tasks and more. And he also gives you reminders of things that you have slope as a couple, like dates

🐻.– Do you have any hyperfixation? He will be all ears, he loves to see you so excited when you talk about something that interests you, he would even look for information to talk to you about it

🐻.– Generally asks before he touches you

🐻.– Keeps objects with the textures you like in his room, so you can relax with him after a long day

🐻.–If you don't feel like doing anything but procrastinating, Freddy supports you, get ready because that night you won't do anything but receive bear hugs, kisses, caresses and compliments, You don't want to do anything? Well, he won't do anything too with you

🐻.– He worries that you eat well, every time he sees you he comes with a snack because he knows you forgot, he doesn't want you to have a disorganized meal schedule. The same with your sleeping schedule, drinking water, etc

he’s making you play five nights at freddy’s and there’s no stopping him ;; but don’t worry, he won’t backseat you :>. since fnaf doesn’t have any multiplayer games, he watches you play!!

vox probably pesters you into putting his model close to yours, whether it be one of his chibi pngs or his actual character model. he says it’s to take care of you in case you get scared, but everyone knows he just wants to be close to you, even if it’s virtual

“oh, it’s okay, darling,” he reassures you sweetly, though if you listen carefully, there’s a hint of mirth in his voice. “it’s just a jump scare, you’re okay, you’re still in the game.”

he’s very understanding when you get frustrated and gives little tips along the way if you ask, but it doesn’t stop him from being a tease >:c, he laughs when you scream at a jumpscare or freak out when the game gets chaotic toward the end of the night

when you’re concentrating and consequently quiet, he hums to fill the silence, his voice low and slow as to not bother you as you focus, and it’s calming despite the stress of the game

in the case that you’re good with horror, vox is going to be even more of a prick >:c. since he knows you won’t get scared, he’ll laugh a lot louder and tease you a lot more, but don’t worry, he still helps you when you ask cause even if he pokes fun at you, he wants you to enjoy yourself since he was the one who suggested the collab

if you’re really afraid, he’ll switch between cracking jokes about the animatronics and soothing you with encouraging words (and maybe a little backseating if you’re panicking a lot), “there’s only an hour left, dear. remember to keep an eye on freddy before he moves through the whole circuit.”

when you finish all five nights, he congratulates you with a loud celebratory shout, “you did it! i’m so proud of you, my love,” yes, it’s just a game that you played, but vox doesn’t care, he’s proud and happy that you took time to play a game he likes very much anyway >:cc

but of course, with a michevious smirk stretching across his lips, he has to ask, “so, how do you feel about playing the second game next stream?”

he definitely asked you rather hesitantly (“it’s okay if you don’t want to collab..!”) if you wanted to play a horror game with him

it’s the type of game where you’re constantly running, hiding, and actively trying to defeat the enemy you’re facing, and it’s most likely fast paced and filled with jumpscares (ex: outlast, devour, etc)

but either way, no matter what game you guys play, it’s going to be a chaotic mess. half of the time he’s making fun of you for being scared (even if he screamed louder than you did) and the other half he’s trying to make you go into the next area of the game first cause he’s too scared to go in himself

even before the game, he’s nervous, whether it’s because he’s collabing with you or the scary music of the start screen for the game (maybe it’s both)

you’re more likely to get afraid from mysta’s screams than the actual game

“it’s okay, it’s okay, it’s okay!” his voice raises in volume with every repeat of the very untrue affirmation. “it’s going to be fi—” he cuts himself off with another scream, probably shocking you as well

“babe, babe, babe, babe—” he cries for you every few seconds, getting scared by any suspenseful scenes that he swears will lead to jumpscares

“babe, please,” he whimpers as his character hides behind you, and you slowly open a door at the end of the hallway. “we’re going to die!”

at times where you’re more afraid than him, he’s very comforting, “it’s okay, i’ll do it for you,” he carefully completes a task and gestures back at you. “see? we’re fine,” even if he’s also afraid, he always makes sure you’re okay first (then he’ll go scream his head off later)

please humor his attempts at making the game seem funny. he’s most definitely got his eyes almost closed so he can squeeze his eyes shut in case of a jumpscare, and if you laugh at the way his model’s eyes are closed, he’ll bicker with you and it’ll distract him even if it’s only for a little while

after you two finish the game and end stream, he texts and perhaps calls you for a few hours to keep his mind off the game (and also because he hopes that talking to you will stop him from getting nightmares)

poor, poor you ;; luca's going to be scaring you more than the game for sure ;;;

he's having the two of you play games similar to what mysta would have you play: fast-paced and filled with jumpscares

he pulls pranks on you, making sounds worthy of being in the game itself and gaslighting you into falling to your demise

he runs with key objects he knows you need to move on the next stage, and the two of you will have your own little chase

and if you guys are playing a buggy game, he definitely looks for every single part of the map to either clip through it himself and make objects disappear

you can try to avoid and not listen to him, but he’ll still somehow unintentionally get you killed and claim it was all according to plan afterward

even if he dies right after you, he bursts into a fit of loud laughter, and you’re obligated to forgive him no matter how mad you might act because his laugh is so contagious and adorable ;;

speaking of when he dies, he always calls for you to save him, even if he was the reason you died just a while ago. “come, come on, darling, you’ve got to save me here!”

everytime he dies, he cries out for you in one of his silly voices. “honey! pl—please!” and then he ends with his dramatic death with an equally dramatic shout of pain

but that’s not the end of it. he continues to trail after you and sulk, complaining that you didn’t save him >:cc. “that was, that was so unpog of you, you know that?” you don’t need to see him to know he’s pouting ^^;;

if you’re really afraid, he immediately becomes your knight in shining armor, even if it’s done a little humorously. “don’t worry, honey, i’ll protect you, okay?” .///. (though don’t expect him to be any quieter. he’ll still enter rooms with a yell and taunt to whatever enemy you’re facing)

despite all this, luca is a completionist at heart, and he pulls through with parts that are tougher for you in the game and jokes about being the carry til the end of it

“yay, we did it!” he cheers when the two of you finish the game, “you see that chat? you see that? we did it, darling!” he boasts about you and your good plays during the game (while still making it seem like he did all the work)

you’d be streaming and ike would have his cute lil png set right next to your model! you would be streaming an rpg horror game (omori, ao oni, etc)

the two of you take turns voicing the character lines (bonus points if the characters you guys voice end up together in the end (extra bonus points if you get ivy to voice characters too))

“got your drink with you, sweetheart?” he reminds you before stream. he also frequently has the two of you take short breaks to hydrate (even if he’s chugging an energy drink on his side) so your throats don’t give out from all the voice acting.

he’s so invested in the storyline and likes to go on little tangents with you about topics that come up in the game. they can range from very serious to stupidly humorous and relating to random memes the two of you know of

feel free to react any way you’d like, cause ike reacts right alongside you !! he’s expressive at every scene and always has something to say and gush over (cute animals and characters hehe :D). no matter if you cry at the sad parts or scream at the terrifying parts of the storyline, he’s right there with you :>

if the game features romance, the both of you definitely coo over them as chat coo over you being so adorable for being giggly about the romance (chat’s just spammed with “them <3 ;;;”)

the two of you discuss every choice together throughly, jumping down rabbit holes and deviating from the plot entirely, you can trust that as a novelist, his mind goes in every single direction when you ask him a simple question :>

he asks you a lot what you think might happen later in the game and pitches in theories of his own :oo

ike says he’s thought about making a horror rpg, and if you bring it up to him while streaming, he’ll, with a hint of amusement, say you already have a secured position as co-creator ;D

since the two of you are playing an rpg, it’ll probably take two or so streams to complete, and as the first steam comes to an end, he humbly accepts your invitation to join you the next time you stream the game. “if you’ll have me,” you can’t see it, but he shyly smiles at your immediate and affirmative response (along with chat’s spam) :>>

shu would have the two of you play some type of horror game heavily based on solving puzzles and choosing right choices!! he likes using his brain (and he won’t admit it, but he secretly likes to flaunt a lil bit of his intelligence)

whatever thoughts and ideas you might have toward solving puzzles are listened to intently, and he hums in acknowledge to show you he’s listening :>>

“let’s go!!!” he cheers softly when you or the both of you together complete a puzzle. it’s a small but adorable celebration considering the nature of the game the two of you are playing

he’ll find a way to slip a sugma joke, even if it makes no sense, and especially if you’re in a tense situation in the game. it’s his little way of lightening the mood and cheering you up :>

he’s always willing to go in front, though he’ll lightly bicker with you before he does. “huh? why do i have to go first? why can’t you go first?” he asks even if he’s already halfway through a slightly ajar door

he unknowingly comforts you, calling out your name when you’re in a panic and trying to look for him in games that use proximity chat, beelining toward you cluelessly with another piece of the puzzle. “i think we’re almost done, right? we should be almost there.”

he often makes little sounds of confusion at the harder puzzles in the game, mostly quiet aside from the stretched out “eh?” you hear him murmur under his breath

you get to hear his lemon voice, his voice raising in volume and pitch as an enemy chases him away and separates the two of you www

he doesn’t really scream much however, it’s more of a slight shout, and he often apologizes for it afterward if it scares you

if you’re the type to repeatedly call for help or scream when an enemy is nearby, he tends to laugh softly at you, but he’s not making fun of you!! he kinda finds it endearing that he gets to come to your rescue despite not being the best there is out there with horror

don’t worry about being alone after stream if you’re scared!! he’ll text you, “doing okay, baby?” and if you reply with even the slightest bit of fear, shu’ll stay up with you for as long as you want :>>

Preaching to the Chorus

About three years ago, Troy Baker pitched the idea of a video game musical called Chorus. What struck me, beyond the fact it was asking for donations as it was a crowdfunded project, were the high profile voice actors taking part, the art style, the bringing on of composer Austin Wintory and that it was being developed by an Australian developer! Years later, there was almost no word or hint of the game and I feared the worst. For a good long while, I wondered if I had just imagined the game being announced. Until, of course, Summerfall Studios announced the upcoming release of Stray Gods in August 2023! Suddenly, we had a release date and songs to enjoy after years of what had felt like absolute silence.

Yes, Chorus had changed its name but it was still the same premise I was promised: an urban fantasy Greek-mythology inspired musical where I got to make decisions on where the songs went. Needless to say, I was excited!

Despite it releasing in August, I didn't get to play the game until much later in 2023 when I finally got a bit of a breather between all my lengthy video games sucking up most of my time (and the fact I work full-time and commit to writing my stories and watching endless TV shows to be up-to-date on whatever is popular). Well, no. That's a lie. I've put a few games on the back burner like Octopath Traveler II and Like a Dragon: Ishin! (they are totally going to be played soon, I promise!)

In any case, I purchased the game while it was on sale (a measly 20% or so) and then stepped into the shoes of Grace. And almost immediately connected with her feelings of being cast adrift. Like so many people who have graduated university, and who didn't immediately apply for graduate programs, she's a little lost and unsure of her direction in life. Enter Calliope.

After the two share a duet together, Grace returns to the apartment she shares with longtime best friend: Freddie. As she rests, there's a knock on the door and lo! Calliope staggers through clutching a ghastly wound. With her last breath, she passes on her eidolon (the soul? and memories of an Idol) before dying in poor traumatised Grace's arms.

As Grace, understandably, panics, at the sudden turn of events, Hermes steps through the front door and tells Grace she needs to meet the Chorus. Within moments, Grace is taken to an upscale office room where she is greeted by Apollo, Persephone, Aphrodite and Athena. Before Grace can get a word in edgewise, these Idols (as the Gods now call themselves - although it makes me wonder if other pantheons exist in this world created by Summerfall), decide to execute Grace for the crime of maybe-possibly killing Calliope. That is until Apollo protests.

And protest he must consider later plot points. Such as him divulging the prophecy leading to Calliope's murder!

Honestly, so much of the story could have been resolved if Apollo stopped being a sad boy and actually used some brains to more cleverly resolve Grace's predicament. Instead, we have Grace run around the city for a week in a bid to prove her innocence and figure out the truth behind Calliope's death.

But what a wonderful week it was as several Idols help out, from the fast-talking Pan to the scary Medusa (with a very cute monster voice from Anjali Bhimani). But who can forget, and forgive me as a I fan myself and swoon over, the dommy mummy: Persephone. The design! The voice! The attitude? Gosh, I just wanted Persephone to step all over me. And considering the height difference she had over Grace?

Just...

I'm just going to die in a corner over here now.

Anyways, diversion aside, the plot was serviceable. It wasn't the most mindblowing story to be told but I liked how it introduced us to many of the Greek Gods and mythological creatures hiding in America, whilst weaving it in the murder mystery plot at its core. While the game threw out new leads often, I didn't ever feel an urgency to solve the crime or fear I'd not be able to figure out the murderer. Sherlock Holmes, this is not.

Rather, no matter which scenes you may wish to complete first (and I always went back to the Underworld to chat up Persephone), I feel like the end-point is almost always the same with our villain being unmasked as the smiling cookie-giver!

From a gameplay perspective, Stray Gods doesn't offer much. It's pretty much a visual novel where the player selects dialogue options or the next part of the song they wish to sing. There's no walking around or exploring the wondrous set pieces you find yourself in. Nor is there any random clicking on background objects for some light commentary or to pocket away clues to be presented at some other time.

In fact, there's no real animation to the game either. Most of the characters are stills, changing their posture as the dialogue or songs demand. Like flipping through a comic book or going from pane to pane.

But what does make Stray Gods stand out are the songs. Yes, there are some where I felt like it faltered: Asterion and Hecate's song (with the volume turned way too low) and some of the weaker blue options in Challenging a Queen. To me, it just wasn't as melodic as they could be and sounded a little jarring. Still, these were glossed over by several other standout songs like The Throne and the Ritual.

Speaking of The Ritual, while I did feel for Aphrodite, I didn't much like her selfish actions of dying and passing her trauma onto another poor soul. Like, either go to therapy and work on your issues or just die permanently and stop inflicting someone else with your trauma! Forgetting is not the path forward. And maintaining the cycle of the next Aphrodite reawakening to your traumatic memories of the Second World War whilst your son, Eros, deals with the fallout is NOT healthy.

On a side note, I liked how the melody of Adrift was used in the background of the game and was also revisited during The Trial.

As for the actual singing, I'm still impressed by the singing of so many of the voice actors. I mean, I wasn't surprised by Troy Baker considering he was a musician before he was a voice actor. And Felicia Day...well, considering I'd stumbled upon her back in her The Guild days, knew she could sing because of the songs she released. And the fact she appeared in Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog alongside Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion.

While I did like Laura Bailey, there were moments when I felt her vocals were just a little too raw and weren't able to hit the notes as well as could be. No shade on Laura, though. I love Laura Bailey! And she had a tough task with so many variations to sing!

Still, I did like her rapping. MORE LAURA BAILEY RAPPING PLEASE! Especially in the Challenging a Queen song.

But I do wonder what Stray Gods might have been like if we had actual Broadway actors brought in for the singing with stronger vocals and/ or melodies.

But I must say, my absolute favourite singer was Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. How could I not? She voiced Persephone! And I so wanted to romance her!

In the end, though, I foiled my chances because I was trying to play in-character by asking myself 'What would Grace do?' in most situations, especially when she was down in the Underworld and was especially traumatised by her best friend's death.

So, yes. I obviously brought Freddie back and the two ended up getting together in one of the more wholesome relationships there is in the game. Because, if you ask me, Pan? He just shows up out of the blue and is all sneaky-sneaky. A girl with her head on her shoulders wouldn't immediately fall for him, even if his intentions were good.

And Apollo? I know my friend @mrsarmageddon likes a 'I-can-fix-him-sad-boy' but he was too set in his ways and a little too unwilling to be of any proper assistance until all his secrets had been unveiled.

As for Persephone, she's a very angry woman and also wouldn't have been a healthy choice considering her romance with CALLIOPE in the past. Still, I couldn't help but want her step on me.

I don't know what that says about me. I'm probably secretly a sub/ omega who just wants someone to take care of me.

But let's not dwell on what this revelation could be and instead talk about how Stray Gods pushed the gaming genre to try and be more inclusive in ways no-one had thought of before. Beyond that, I loved the characters. The narrative, while simplistic, was entertaining enough to pull me through my initial playthrough of six and a bit hours. So, it's not even all that long. Which is perfect when you're gainfully employed and have a ton of time-consuming hobbies.

The one major downside to me was the fact it didn't have a chapter select after the first playthrough. If it did have it, allowing me to skip ahead to say 'Act 3' to redo my conversation with Persephone so I could romance her, or skip to certain songs so I could try out different combinations or variations, it would have heightened the gaming experience for me. Instead, Stray Gods forced me to play through the entire game again just for the occasional tweaks I wanted to do in my playthrough.

And now, during The Game Awards 2023, there's been an announcement for ANOTHER musical game called Harmonium. And it features sign language! So, it's definitely something I want to keep an eye on!

YES! TO MORE VIDEO GAME MUSICALS!

But also, don't let it become too overly saturated. During the Game Awards, I couldn't help but notice more Souls-like battle systems, using Japan as a setting (for Western developers) and more mechs/ robots.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go and admire the Queen of the Underworld a little bit more. For perfectly REASONABLE purposes.

Description: 1.9k wc, reader struggles with her ADHD to the point of breaking into tears, prompting Freddy to come to her aid. Hurt-comfort, angst-fluff

Warnings: ADHD symptoms and experiences discussed, neurodivergencies mentioned, mention of crying and sadness, negative thoughts of self, some angst but fluffy ending/comfort

Y/n sniffled as she aggressively wiped her face with the back of her hand. She couldn’t stop crying. Her ADHD paralysis had flared up and left her feeling hopeless and ashamed of herself. She knew it wasn’t anything she did nor a true flaw, but she could help the misery she felt.

She’d been trying to finish this project for her job since the early hours of this morning. Yet, she’d gotten practically nowhere with it. It was as if there were a million other things her mind would rather focus on. She had lost all control over her flickering thoughts hours ago.

Meaning she was now crying alone in her home-office as her latest attempt to start the project failed. Her husband Freddy was on set filming today, meaning if anything she should’ve had less distractions. But, instead her mind had begun thinking of different tasks she should do for him since he was out. She knew she was screwed when even those self-created tasks weren’t ones she could force herself to do.

Everyone thought ADHD was silly and fun. Sure, some of the behavioral ‘symptoms’ of the condition could be taken that way. But, most of the time one was either overly engaged or under engaged. It was a constant pendulum that caused havoc when it swung too far in either direction.

Today it had swung too far towards the direction of executive dysfunction. Executive dysfunction was a hard concept for many neurotypical individuals to grasp. As such, many neurotypicals saw neurodivergents who were experiencing the effects of executive dysfunction as lazy or inconsiderate. This of course didn’t help the fact that those with ADHD often struggled with their self image already.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to do the work project, and she certainly wanted to do the caring tasks she’d thought of doing for Freddy. Yet, she was stuck. Y/n was not able to get herself to even begin any of the tasks. Instead, she’d wasted the day away in her futile attempts to start them only to fall into self-directed frustration over and over again.

So it came as no surprise that once she’d officially given up on trying to complete anything she had wished to do, she begun crying. She felt like a horrible wife and employee even though she wasn’t. But the frustration she had towards herself and her predicament clouded everything else. Hence why she was willing to sit by herself at her desk as she shook from crying.

Freddy had been home for only a matter of five minutes when he noticed the absence of his wife’s presence. She always seemed to greet him when he’d return if she’d been working from home that day. He recalled having said goodbye to her in their home-office this morning, so why wasn’t she greeting him?

He slowly made his way to their office space to try and see if she was still working. As he entered the doorway, he noticed the way her shoulders were hunched over her desk. He furrowed his brows as he checked that the lights were all on and therefore not the cause of her face being so close to the table.

It was in that moment that he watched her body tremble and heard her faint cries. Once he’d recovered from the sudden sinking in his chest, he took a deep breath and rushed over to her.

“Darling?” Freddy panicked, his hand placed on her upper back delicately.

Y/n’s head snapped up but she didn’t turn to him. Instead, she wiped her face again and took a loud breath. It was clear she was trying to compose herself before she’d face him.

Freddy knelt beside his wife, his worry evident in his features. But he knew not to push her. She’d respond once she felt steady enough to do so.

It took a few moments of silence but she eventually did turn to face him, a fake smile on her face. Freddy shook his head at her blatant coverup and grasped her hand in his tightly. Y/n sighed softly when she realized he wasn’t falling for her pretend happiness.

She didn’t want him to feel sorry for her. Nor did she want him to know she hadn’t been able to accomplish anything today. She felt like a burden. Despite knowing how much Freddy loved and cared for her, she didn’t want him to see her in this state. But she also wouldn’t lie to her husband.

“I… I did not get the project done” she admitted shyly, her hand shoving the planning sheets across the desk towards him.

Freddy’s eyes briefly left her frame to scan the documents she was showing him. He noticed she had a bunch of stray marks and squiggles on the paper. However, nothing else had been added since he saw the sheets this morning.

She didn’t need to tell him what was happening. He knew of her ADHD and the highs and lows that came with it. As such, he knew how to best handle this situation on his end.

“That’s okay love, sometimes ideas don’t flow as easily as they normally do” he encouraged, neatly stacking the papers.

“It wasn’t just the ideas, I couldn’t even start the rest of it. I also…” she sighed as she trailed off and looked away.

Freddy sighed quietly as his heart sank further upon seeing her continued distress. “Y/n, it doesn’t matter what you did or did not do today, you-“.

“I was going to make you that soup you like” y/n interrupted, fiddling with her fingers, “but I couldn’t. I wanted to, but…”.

“But you weren’t able to get up and get started on it” he finished to her, tugging her hand back to him to calm her nervous fidgeting.

She nodded and sighed, “I wanted us to be able to have that soup, but then I began thinking about each step. Washing the dishes to get the ladle clean, getting out the ingredients, chopping the vegetables,..”

Freddy stood up quietly, prompting her eyes to snap upwards to see him. He wasn’t sure why there seemed to be a sense of panic in her y/e/c eyes. But he wished it weren’t there. He didn’t have to wait long to find out the cause behind it as she soon blurted out her worry.

“Please don’t leave” she begged.

Freddy gave her a sympathetic shake of his head, “‘m not, just standing to help guide you to the living room, my love”

Y/n visibly calmed but then began listing off the tasks she still needed to complete.

“Darling, those can all wait. You deserve to rest” he stated.

She shook her head, “no I don’t. I didn’t get anything done today. It’s embarrassing and I-“

“You don’t need to be ashamed” Freddy told her, stroking her cheek as he towered over her seated form.

“I don’t not what I’m doing anymore” y/n exclaimed, “I can’t do anything right”. She glanced up at her husband before continuing to try and explain what she was feeling. “I’m worthless, I can’t even focus on one thing for a mere second” she pointed out.

“Don’t put yourself down like that” Freddy pleaded, his heart clenching. He watched her sigh but nod as if accepting his request. As such he gave her a soft smile and tugged on her hand, “let’s go to the living room. What do you want to do tonight? Don’t worry about how we’ll do it, I’ll handle that. Just tell me what you’d like us to do”.

“I just want to be held for a bit” she admitted quietly as she rose to her feet before him.

“I like this” y/n told him as she snuggled further into his embrace.

Freddy chuckled lightly, “me too. I never want to let go, my love”.

Y/n let her husband hold her and offer her comforting words and back rubs while she tried to silence her mind. He had helped her not feel the deep despair she’d been feeling moments before he arrived. Yet, she still felt she should’ve done so much more today.

Freddy seemed to notice her quietness, his grip tightening ever so slightly. He placed a soft kiss to the top of her head as he hummed. “You don’t have to do it all” he whispered.

“But then people will be let down. If I don’t-“ she began, making Freddy notice the way her pace quickened from her emotions.

“They don’t matter. You matter, my love” he cut her off, carefully brushing his fingers through her tangled hair. “You’re all that matters, and right now you need rest. It doesn’t matter what they need or want” Freddy stated definitively. He smiled to himself as her muscles visibly relaxed.

Freddy was attempting to give her a long thoughtful compliment, but y/n was hopelessly distracted. She’d been staring at his dimples and then at the freckles on his face instead of focusing on what he was saying. She’d tried to listen, truly, but his face was just so beautifully distracting to her.

She broke her gaze from the patch of freckles on his cheek when she noticed she no longer heard his voice. Y/n glanced up at him as she silently hoped he hadn’t asked her a question. Fortunately, she could read his facial expressions and knew he wasn’t awaiting any response. However, she could also tell he had noticed her lack of attention.

“I’m sorry,” she whimpered, “I was listening.. at first. But then I… I wasn’t listening to you, I’m sorry babe”.

He shook his head, “it was I that wasn’t truly listening. If I had, I’d have remembered to use shorter sentences”.

Y/n watched him cautiously as she tried to let his words erase her guilt. It wasn’t until he smiled softly at her and placed a delicate kiss on her cheek that she accepted that her guilt was unfounded. Having realized this, she let her mind wander back to where it was before.

As such, she soon found herself tracing imaginary lines between his freckles with her pointer finger. She was acutely aware of Freddy’s eyes watching her do this. But her attention remained stuck on this unimportant but intriguing task.

“Are you playing connect the dots with my freckles?” Freddy grinned, his cheeks heating up.

Bashfully she nodded and giggled, “yes”.

He smiled widely, “see you focused and completed something”.

“On something minor, for short time” she argued.

“It’s still focus and you need to respect yourself for doing that. Today is just one of those days in which we need to have a more relaxed atmosphere” he stated as if it were the most simple thing in the world.

Y/n was so beyond grateful for her husband. He always seemed to know how to help her when she was in one of her downhill moods. She couldn’t understand how he comprehended her struggles with such ease and patience. But she was eternally thankful for it.

Unbeknownst to her, when y/n first struggled with her ADHD paralysis/executive dysfunction, Freddy had looked into it. She had tried to explain it to him but kept getting too emotional to effectively do so. Not that he minded. But, he took it upon himself to research the issue and see what ways to best offer her help. Clearly, the research paid off.

Still, something was amiss; an old fear that Brian had thought vanquished was making itself manifest yet again.

And just then, unbidden, a name surfaced from Roger’s lips, as if summoned by Brian’s unwelcome thoughts.

“Reggie…”

In the faint candlelight, Roger’s sleeping features were marred with a heavy frown. Wordlessly, Brian reached out to brush a lock of hair from his lover’s face as he felt resolve harden deep inside him.

They had come this far, there was no going back now. Whatever that bastard meant to Roger, Brian was resolved to be with his Omega, to help him in all the ways he could. To fight for him, save him if needed.

he thrives when he's alone, it's how he does his best work, be it batman or wayne enterprise

has trouble admitting defeat, dick joining him as robin helped him in that department a great deal

is pierced. he did almost all of them himself, alfred has a heart attack everytime he spots a new one

the public has a weird badboy image of him, bruce has no idea where it came from

doesn't bruise easily but is still constantly in pain

when bruce is working on cases in the cave, dick hangs head down off of bruce's back with his legs over bruce's shoulders

dick claims it helps him think, bruce knows it's because he doesn't want to be alone

bruce loves the relationship dick and selina have, might be a little jealous that cat got through to the boy much faster than him though

after taking in dick, bruce makes sure to show alfred that he actually does see him as a father figure - regrets all the times he told him that alfred's not his father

I just realized that i can use this as a place to post the Plushswap AU, so, i'mma be annoying about it for a while.

Yo yo hello! for most if not all of you who are here and dont know what the Plushswap AU is or need a refresher, I'm here to ramble your ears off about it!

So here's the

The Plushswap AU is just as it sounds! The cast of The Celestial Idiots, but all the robots are swapped for plushies and vice versa! When speaking in reference to Plushswap, it is normally abbreviated as "PS" for speed of typing Though i do suppose some more context is needed beside that so 'ere we go!

This is the first art piece, and technically the official 'start' of the AU! It features most of the characters within the Plushswap AU and as close to 'official' designs as they were gonna get (i stay loyal to the reference sheets given v.v) [if there is no image to accompany a character, they're up here in this drawing or didn't have a ref change substantial enough for a new image!]

Color!

Color is the one and only daycare attendant within the Plushswap AU, taking over the roles of both Moon and Sun. They had found Sun and Moon randomly while going through some storage closets for supplies one after-closing eve. Keeps things relatively under control until the plex closes for the day, then its time to grab their choice of the living plushies and head off to play games!

Sun and Moon!

Two of the (arguably) most helpful plushies around! They were made to beta-test out some alternative designs for daycare attendants, though they ended up being scrapped for Color in the long run. FazCo was just too corner cutty when it came to this project, so they settled for one, static daycare attendant instead of the dual-personality.

Eclipse!

[As of this post, Eclipse has only made an appearance in one video, mischaracterization is bound to occur and i apologize ahead of time ^^'!] A much, much older beta plush! Made as a beta to the Daycare Attendant that was the predecessor to Color! They were found torn apart in a storage box down in Parts 'n Services, and was stitched back together by Trix.

Lunar!

The other half of the older beta plushies, they were also found in shreds in Parts 'n Services. They just sort of, appeared in the daycare one day. Color seems to recognize them, but if she knows anything he's playing dumb very well.

Chica!

A very energetic and peppy plush! She tends to hand out more around the other glamrocks during opening hours, though she will occasionally sneak out to lead a group of (older) kids through some stretching!

Roxanne Wolf!

[As of this post, Roxy has made very few appearances and has no actor! Mischaracterization is bound to occur, and i apologize ahead of time ^^'!] A not-too-active plush, usually spending her time outside of the daycare and away from the general chaos of it. If she is found, she's usually found slinking around near or around Foxy's areas. She is the beta design for Foxy.

Montgomery Gator!

A rather rude and grumpish plush, he chooses to be away from the commotion of the activities of the daycare, but that doesn't stop Moon from dragging him along to play once the daycare closes. If there's bickering to be involved, it's usually between him and Moon.

Freddy!

[as of making this post, Freddy has only appeared in one video so far! Mischaracterization is bound to occur, and i apologize in advance ^^'] One of the quieter plushies, seeming to not have the ability to speak at all with how little noise he makes at all! Where he gets off to when he's not hanging around the daycare, no-one really knows! Except maybe Monty, but he doesn't seem like he's going to tell anytime soon.

Trix!

The one and only human amongst this cast! Trix is the daycare attendant handler, though is more of the voice of reason amongst the chaotic flock of somehow-alive Plushies and chaotic attendant. They seem to be the only one to see the loose, child-like plush that appears around the attendant sometimes..

Peepaw!

Admittedly? No-one really knows where Peepaw came from! Moon says he dragged him out of the trash one day, and the ever wise and ominous doll has been occasionally tagging along to the games that the gang plays.

Description: Mike brings Rick and Eugene Christmas decorations. For day 3 of Drabblecember: Decorating.

Mike knocked on the door of Rick and Eugene’s apartment, all the while humming some Christmas tune or other. They waited, bouncing on the balls of their feet. The bags of decorations in their arms were beginning to weigh on them a bit. 

Eugene opened the door and said, in his signature high-pitched, goofy voice, “Hey Mike! You look…festive!” 

They were in a dressed in green gingham dress with a red belt.

He turned, and called, “Hey, Rick! Mike’s here! They’ve got a lot of stuff! It looks heavy!” 

Rick walked to the door, looking very tired, until he saw Mike. His brown eyes lit up as soon as they met Mike’s blue-gray ones. He took a couple of Mike’s bags. 

“What’s all this?” he asked. 

“Decorations!” Mike replied cheerily. “I did our apartment yesterday. Abby, Bessie, and I had a lot of fun.” 

“So you thought you’d do our apartment too, huh?” 

“Sure! This place still looks sad, even with the lights back on. At least there’s more than beans now.” 

“We’re doing a lot better, thanks to you,” Eugene interjected. “And since I laid off the comics.” 

“How’s your latest project going, Rick?” Mike asked. 

“Oh, pretty good. Drawing for books sure beats painting billboards.” 

“A little more saved up, and you’re a-shooing for art school.” 

He sighed. “I don’t have that much.” 

“Maybe not now, but with the royalty checks from my book, and what I saved from older projects…”

His eyes widened. “Oh, no, after all you’ve done for me? You’re not paying for that.” 

“Consider it a Christmas gift,” Mike said. “And, without you, my book wouldn’t even have a cover. Consider it a payment for your services, since you wouldn’t let me pay before.” 

Rick smiled, knowing Mike wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. “Thank you.” 

“Anyway, who’s going to help me put these up?” Mike asked. 

The trio sifted through Mike’s bags. Most items were store bought trinkets, but the stockings stood out. 

Rick traced the lettering on his, with his finger, “Did you make these?” 

“It’s something my great grandma used to do,” Mike said. “And, anyway, where are you going to find Rick and Eugie stockings?” 

Eugene chuckled at his stocking, which had a version of Freddie Fieldmouse embroidered on it. 

After the shock of the stocking wore off, they all got to work, putting a snowglobe on the fireplace, varying little figurines on the tables, and a wreath on the door. As a finishing touch, Mike put Christmas lights around Rick’s easel. 

“See? Much better,”  they said. 

Rick and Eugene nodded. 

“It was nice to see you both. Don’t forget the cookies for Santa.” 

Rick laughed. “I don’t believe in Santa! I’m a grown man.” 

“Speak for yourself,” Eugene joked. 

“Oh, you’re going to get coal for saying that,” Mike said, with a mischievous smile. 

“We could use some. It gets mighty cold in New York in the winter.” 

Mike kissed him goodbye on the cheek.  “I’ll make sure you get some, then.” 

Rick stole a kiss to their lips, then said, “Thank you.”  

“For the coal?” 

He grinned. “No, for the decorations, and for being supportive of me.”  

“Any time.”

The Big German Tween Soap Opera Drama (So far)

Here's the writeup for all those of you who don't go here but still love reading about drama from fandoms you're not in.

What is Schloss Einstein?

Schloss Einstein is a German soap opera aimed at ~10 to 14-year-olds. Since it's been on air since 1998 with 26 seasons and over 1000 episodes, it also has fans beyond its target audience who grew up with it and either never stopped watching it or picked it up again at some point.

The show focuses on the live of students at a fictional boarding school with common themes being love, friendship, slice of life and the occasional comedy or mystery story.

Noah and Colin

In season 26, the show got its first mlm storyline. The show already had a wlw storyline in season 23 that was generally well received and so we had hopes.

In the first episode of season 26, Colin gets two new roommates: Noah and Joel. Joel grows suspicious of Noah because he tends to sneak out at night and won't tell anyone where he's going. Eventually, he and Colin discovder that Noah secretly took his dog Freddy with him and hid him in the woods because his parents wanted to send him to the shelter.

Colin offers to help Noah take care of Freddy and Noah slowly starts to trust Colin. But then the headmaster finds out about Freddy and tells Noah that Freddy can't stay in the woods and has to go to the shelter. Colin wants to apologise to Noah and manages to get tickets to a film premier, but Noah pushes him away. He later apologises to Colin after the principal decides to take Freddy in himself and let Noah visit him whenever he wants.

Later, Noah secretly makes a stop-motion film for a project Colin and Joel are working on and plans to make a live-action horror film as well. However, it doesn't go according to plan and ends up being canceled. Colin comforts Noah and ends up kissing him but Noah runs away right after it. Later that evening, Colin tries to hold Noah's hand but Noah tells him that he's not in love with him.

In the final episode of the season, Colin realises that he can't stay friends with Noah because his romantic feelings for him are too strong - he confesses his love to Noah but walks away without waiting for Noah's answer. Noah doesn't follow him.

The first drama - The disappointing final three episodes

The first drama was the reaction to episode 1049 (Noah tells Colin he's not in love with him), episode 1050 (Noah tells Colin "that's what friends are for" and Colin is later seen crying alone in the dark) and episode 1052 (Colin confesses his love to Noah, walks away and Noah doesn't follow him).

There were a lot of angry comments. Not just from disappointed queer people within the show's target audience but also from disappointed adult queer fans who were concerned that this was sending the wrong message to young queer people - that life would always be hard for them if they happened to be gay.

The second drama - The new opening

Traditionally, the show does an Advent calender on social media with pictures from the upcoming season and finally the new opening.

It was already clear that Colin's actor wouldn't be around for the whole season because he landed a role in a film and his schedule would have overlapped with the shooting of Schloss Einstein. But since the first press release for season 27 stated that there would be 19 main characters and being credited as a main character usually guaranteed that said character would appear in the opening, we had some hope.

Well, the new opening was released and guess what? Colin wasn't in it. Cue another round of angry comments, this time mainly from people in the target demographic who thought Colin wouldn't appear in season 27 at all. And why? Because there was no official info. You had to see a picture a cast member posted on BeReal or read the wiki to know Colin would be in season 27. And even those of us who knew Colin would still be around for at least a few episodes doubt that it will be enough to give his story with Noah a satisfying ending.

And then there's the fact that season 27 is going to focus on a mystery plot about a treasure hunt. The last season to do that was season 24 which wasn't well received to the poor execution of the mystery plot. So now people are worried that season 27 will suffer the same fate with a poorly executed mystery plot overshadowing everything else and leaving no room for some much-needed character developement.

Ricky's has got a handful of secrets:

The eyesore of a 'magenta' car he drives is stolen.

His college degree is a forgery.

The blood on his jacket is Definitely His Own.

And he's never forgiven the owners of that old pizzeria for the events of '87. After all, that was his little brother's head inside the jaws of a mechanical monster.

Here's all you need to know about Ricky Kronbach and his terrible, horrible, no good, very bad life courtesy of an extensive list of extremely bad decisions.

A movie!verse OC (in a "what if the games somehow still happened in the movie!verse but the dates were slightly altered" type of AU; ie the bite of '87 still occurred but rather than Jeremy Fitzgerald getting chomped, it was MCI!Jeremy)

"He said he could bring Jeremy back." "Jeremy's been gone a decade." "But what if he can? What if it's possible?"

Born September 9th, 1972 to Mary and John Kronbach in Great Falls, Minnesota. As the oldest of two kids he's both stubborn and protective, the former by instinct and the latter by necessity. With John's violent outbursts and propensity to gamble away most of the family income, and Mary's neglect in response to Ricky acting as a "tomboy" from a young age, home life for the Kronbach siblings was less than stellar.

To catch a break, Ricky would get into his allowance and bike down to Freddy's with his little brother Jeremy in tow. It happened often enough that multiple servers and one of the owners' daughters knew them by name. But late one Friday in November of 1987, tragedy came rushing up to meet the Kronbach's when Jeremy, aided by the owner's daughter, requested to see the Bonnie animatronic up close. No one exactly knows how the nine-year-old managed to get his head stuck between its jaws, triggering the springlock mechanism that killed him.

Following these events, John blamed Ricky for the death of his "only son" and unleashed a reign of terror on the teenager that would only end in further tragedy. When questioned about the events that took place during "The Christmas Massacre of '87", Ricky would claim to have been asleep during his parents' murder. At no point does he confide in anyone about the night terrors that lead up to the event—of the 7ft tall, striped marionette that led him towards the knife block on the kitchen counter.

The night terrors continue well into adulthood, even after his suspension from MSU's post-grad program, when he threatened one of his professors and picked fights with several classmates for unspecified reasons. With a criminal record and infamy attached to his family name, Ricky is forced to seek professional help when no one would employ him.

In the Spring of 1996, Ricky meets his career counselor, Steve Raglan, who offers him a night security gig. Ricky turns down the opportunity, and upon exiting the office he notices a magenta Chevrolet that seems familiar. Disconcerted that he can't pinpoint where he's seen it before, Ricky decides to skip town and start a new life altogether, as far away from his past as possible.

"I'm thinking Anaheim. Become an Imagineer. Someone who puts a smile on kids' faces, y'know?"

Strangely enough, in a Denny's out in the Middle of Nowhere, Colorado over a year later, he comes across the same car, the same career counselor, and Ricky is now certain "Steve Raglan" isn't who he claims to be.

"Steve Raglan" knows the name Kronbach, knows about Ricky's past and his impressive academic record, so he makes him one more offer the young man can't possibly refuse: if Ricky helps him finish an old project him and his old business partner set out to create in the 80s, then "Steve" can bring Ricky's brother back from the dead.

Does this look like a man who'd team up with a serial killer to bring back his dead brother who may or may not have been a victim of said serial killer? Look at him. Does he look like someone with his own trail of dead bodies and stolen cars and also arson? P'shaw.

"Are you sure you don't wanna be a cool robot?"

"No thank you papa" (name) said softly and Steve sighed with a soft smile as Eddie cackled at the small boy "whatever floats your boat bud" Eddie said patting theur sons head.

"Dustin's taking him yeah?" Steve said to his husband who grabbed a drink from the fridge "yup, he's still getting ready in his room" the metalhead said offering his son a sip of the carbonated drink "still?? He's never been this obsessed with a costume"

"He wanna make girl fall in love" (name) said innocently as he let Steve put the cardboard box with arms and a head hole on the boy "whatcha talking about bud?" "He got cush on gorwl in class!" (Name) said and the two dad's looked at him wide eyed "dusty...has a crush on someone?"

"He talk bout it to Will all the time over talkie" (name) huffed and mumbled something about keeping him up "got any other gossip bud?" Eddie said playfully "aunty Robbie ated last of cereal" he said simply before waddling off to see what Dustin was doing "I knew it!" Eddie said with an angry Huff and Steve rolled his eyes.

"dusty! Hurry up!" (Name) with a huff and came in to see Dustin dressed as Freddie Kruger and poor (name) began crying loudly at it "what happened?!" Steve yelled as the parents checked up on them, Dustin taking off the mask "(name)! It's dude!"

(Name) looked confused and scared as he ran into Eddie's arms "bud, it's just a spooky costume" Eddie said to the tiny toddler who looked back to see Dustin's face "no monster?"

"No monsters bud, it's just your brother"

"Sorry..."

"Don't be sorry, it startled you"

When everyone was ready the parents went to a party at Eddie's music shop and Dustin and (name) went out trick or treating and meet up with the party where they looked at (name) confused "what is he supposed to be?"

"A cardboard box"

"...why?"

"Dad says he gets his sense of humor from pops side"

"That tracks"

The group went off trick or treating, the six teens keeping an eye on little (name) who was having a grand time "psst (name) trade you for those three Musketeers" Dustin said to the little boy, holding up a handful of (candy) and little (name) looked at the candy in awe "ok!"

One house was giving out soda and (name) struggled opening it "you good (name)?" Max asked and the small boy held it to her "help?"

The redhead opened the can and handed it back to the boy as the group took a short break "you having fun?" Lukas asked the toddler "popa wants starburst" as he then proceeded to eat a starburst "he ated my dunkaroo"

Lukas laughed at this and the group continued their journey, the group talking about a campaign they were working on with Eddie, little (name) to small to be able to hold focus on such a long game and usually hung with dad aka Steve.

When it was around 9pm the group returned to Dustin and (name)s house where they looked at their hauls, little (name) putting aside certain candies like Pez and the likes...old candy brands.

"What's he doing?"

"He likes to put candy aside for grandpa Wayne, they hang out on Saturday when we do our Champaign and Dad goes out with aunt Robin and Nancy"

"What do they do?"

"Grandpa Wayne and (name) work on woodworking projects for a while and then watch old movies and eat pizza until (name) passes out"

"Huh"

"Yeah, it's his most looked forward day of the week"

"Good for him"

When (name) finished his sorting and trading, Dustin helped him clean up and get ready for bed "aight dude, bath time!"

Many bubbles later and (name) was out cold in his little bed and the teens set up their horror movies around the time Eddie and Steve returned with pizza they promised to get the teens before going to check on the tot who was out cold but did notice a few starbursts and a few m&m packs on the dresser "Atta boy"
