"Love and compassion is the life-force of the deity. It is said that what we call the deity is actually bodhicitta. Thus, the samaya is to maintain love and compassion for all sentient beings and when others harm you, one should practice patience and hold onto that love.
Samaya is love and compassion for others."
White tara is the protective, helpful and comforting mother who shows limitless kindness, generosity and protection towards those who are tossed in the ocean of suffering, and if we recite her mantra and make a connection to her, we draw closer to developing her enlightened qualities in ourselves.
Ultimately, she is the very nature of the Dharmakaya - "the ultimate nature or essence of the enlightened mind, which is uncreated, free from the limits of conceptual elaboration ty and spacious te intest, deal radiant,
Karma Lingpa). Her practice is a means for attaining liberation.

Wheel of Life :: [Red Pine (translator) :: Bill Porter (author)]
* * * *
“Life was a wheel, its only job was to turn, and it always came back to where it started.”
― Stephen King, Doctor Sleep

The Fist
Derek Walcott - 1930-2017
The fist clenched round my heart
loosens a little,
and I gasp
brightness; but it tightens
again. When have I ever not loved
the pain of love? But this has moved
past love to mania. This has the strong clench of the madman, this is
gripping the ledge of unreason, before
plunging howling into the abyss.
Hold hard then, heart. This way at least you live.

White Tara
White Tara (Sitatara) is associated with long life. Her mantra is often chanted with a particular person in mind.
She's another representation of compassion, and she's pictured as being endowed with seven eyes (look at the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, and her forehead) to symbolize the watchfulness of the compassionate mind.
Benefits of and Reasons for Seeking White Tara
InitiationYou might have obstacles in your life that could cause your untimely death. If the obstacles are due to your good karma and merit being exhausted, then in order to prolong your life now and to have longevity in future lives, you need to practice powerful ways to collect a lot of merit, such as taking long life initiations, reciting the mantras of long life deities, saving the lives of animals and people, offering medicine to people and taking care of sick people, offering food, clothing and shelter to the poor people. If the obstacles in your life and untimely death are due to negative karma, the solution is to purify it. You can also make butter lamp (light) offerings to the Triple Gem.
Butter lamp offerings help you develop Dharma wisdom and clairvoyance due to their nature of dispelling the darkness around holy objects.White Tara is extremely powerful. Tara is very close to sentient beings, like a mother to her children. She is very quick to fulfill our wishes and to grant us happiness and a long life, as well as to help us develop wisdom. By taking refuge in Tara and practicing meditation, visualizations, and having faith, you have the power to remove obstacles to your life and to prolong your life.

Another dance class of being completely defeated by the amount of strength I’ve lost over these complicated 18 months and the weariness that work is inflicting on me.
Telling myself that turning up is most of the fight. Even when it all goes wrong, the law of averages says it has to get better eventually. As long as you keep turning up.
It wasn’t a great class. There were tears. So I’m consoling myself with a burger and a glass of wine. Which I realise is bad because it’s basically using food to try and make myself feel better. But at least I’m not bingeing. It’s a controlled amount of food and alcohol.
Reminding myself that without the lows, the highs aren’t anywhere near as sweet. The wheel of life is grinding me down, but the thing about wheels is that eventually you’re on the up again. Clichés and platitudes until I feel better…
