A/N - Ending is rushed, I’m sorry.

“Anything?”

“Nothing.” Dustin placed the Walkie Talkie down on the kitchen counter, and leaned over it. The room was silent for a moment.

“You don’t they went through…” Lucas asked.

“Through Watergate? Without us? Without a plan? Without Weapons? They wouldn’t be that stupid.” Dustin stated firmly.

“Yeah. They barely know anything about the Upside. Especially compared to us.”

“Exactly, they must just be trying to lay low cause the law got us.”

“‘The Law?’ What is this, Gunsmoke? The Stupid and the Ugly? Should I round up the posse? Shuffle the horses?”

“Erica. Please, just go away.” You said, Erica didn’t need to know. Otherwise, she could get hurt.

“Here’s the deal. Either you tell me what’s happening or I tell Dustin and Lucas what I read in your diary.

You tensed up at that. Had much did she read? It’s not like that would matter though, most of the pages were about Dustin and there were many drawings.

Dustin and Lucas both looked, the former more surprised, probably by the fact you have a diary and the latter more so curious to what was the actually context of his sisters deal.

You tried to shallow the lump in your throat, hoping it’s help with your nerves. It didn’t. “Please, no.”

She smirked at you. “Spill your guys, Cowpuncher.”

“What’d she find in your diary?” Dustin asked, causing your face to burn with embarrassment.

“Nothing.” You defended terribly.

“Is it gross?” Erica nodded to the curly haired boy’s question. “Scale of one to ten.”

“A hundred.”

“A hundred?” Dustin asked in disbelief.

“The serial killer is a dark wizard from the Upside Down. And we’ve been looking for him, but he’s in the upside down, which we can’t reach. At least we thought we couldn’t, until we found a gate at Lovers Lake. That was the reason why we were there, but these stupid cops grabbed us. And if you tell anyone about this, that’s including Your mom, and your dad and Tina… especially Tina, I… will smother you in your sleep. Do you understand?”

Erica hummed thoughtfully, resting her chin on her curled up hand.

“Erica? Do. You. Copy?”

“The smothering me in my sleep part, but no much else. Why would they open up a gate at Lovers Lake?”

“What?”

“The commies.”

“The commies didn’t.”

“Then who did?”

“Nobody.”

“So it just opened up for fun?”

“Erica, you have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“No, she doesn’t, yet she raises an essential question. How did Watergate open up? Only two gates have been opened, so far as we know. One by El, one by the Commies. But it’s not the Commies or El this time, so it…”

Dustin paused, thinking somethings up. “Holy shot. Wait, wait, wait, wait.”

“‘Wait, wait, wait,’ what?”

“There’s one thing we’ve never understood. Which is why Vecna’s killing people. What’s his motive? Killing teens? It always just seemed to random. Too prosaic. On top of that, how does the Mind Flayer figure into all this? Maybe this is it. This is the answer.”

“What is the answer?”

Karen entered the kitchen, Powell behind her, requesting some drink as she named out options. The four moved to the staircase, avoiding the two adults.

“Okay, just hear me out. How did El open the Mothergate?”

“She contacted the Demogorgon.”

“With psychic contact. Just like…”

“Like Vecna when casts his spells.”

“Exactly.” Dustin hummed, grinning at you. “So, what if, with each kill, he’s not simply killing them, he’s making a powerful psychic connection with his victims? A connection powerful enough to rip a hole in the fabric of time and space.”

“He’s opening more gates.” Lucas concluded.

“Bingo.”

“Y/n, we got to talk dude.” Dustin ran up from behind you as you had been pretty far ahead of the group.

“Yeah?” He walked beside you now, catching his breath.

“What was it that Erica found in your diary? You seemed really worried she would tell us.”

“It’s nothing important, just puberty stuff, y’know.”

Dustin gasped. “Did you start your period?”

“I already told I did when we were like 12. You thought I was bleeding to death cause I had a red patch of blood on my pants.” You laughed, remembering his horror stricken face when he told you.

“Oh yeah, I had a few nightmares after that. I had to ask my mom what a period was cause you missed the part in explaining it to me.”

“Oh, yeah you’re right. I completely forgot most guys aren’t taught that stuff. Sorry about all that.” He grinned at him, to which he returned.

“What other puberty stuff could be in that diary of yours though. I mean, I’m even apart of you first period story.”

“Y’know, crushes, and stuff.”

“Who? Do I know them? Does any of us know them?”

“I guess, yeah?”

“I’m gonna name random people, don’t get offended please. Gareth, Jeff, Jason-“

“Eww, stop Dusty. As if I’d ever have a crush of that douchebag.”

“You’re right, I’m sorry y/n/n.”

“Haven’t heard you call me that since forever ago.”

“Yeah, I guess we don’t talk as much as we used to. Like I’m busy with the Hellfire Club and so are you. But you’re also busy with babysitting and looking after your dog.”

“I miss hanging out, riding our bikes, playing Dn’D in Mikes basement for 10 hours. I miss our sleepovers. I miss everything before all this stuff happened with the upside down happened.”

“Me too.”

“I found it.”

“What’d you find DustyBun?”

“Your diary.” He deadpanned. He watched as the smirk fell of your face, your facial expression full of worry.

“Did you read it?”

“Didn’t have to. Erica saw me with it, assumed I read it and told me your big secret.”

“Which is?”

“You’ve liked me since we were 10. Around 5 years ago it seems to have started, according to what Erica told me.”

He starred at you, as he tossed you your diary. You didn’t make an attempt to catch it so it hit the floor right at your feet from where you sat in your families lounge room.

“How come you didn’t tell me?”

“I thought you would think I’m weird for liking my best friend.”

“Y/n it’s been 5 years, I don’t think crushes last that long, I honestly think it could be love. I asked Nancy and Robin. I obviously didn’t go to Steve or Eddie, they would on us for it.”

“Yeah, they would.”

“Why do you think I don’t like you?”

“Cause you would have had said something otherwise. You’re always so honest about the girls you like.”

“Expect for one.”

“Yeah? And whose that?”

He just started at you, waiting for it to click in.

“If you’re talking about me, then yeah right, you’re just tryin’ to make me feel less worse than I do.”

“I swear on my moms life y/n, I’m not joking.”

You chanced stay look at him. He was sitting next to you by this point. He looked to be telling the truth, as well as nervous.

“And if you are telling the truth? What do we do? You know just as well about anybody in this town that I have never been in a relationship.”

“It would me very happy, and glad, to be your first boyfriend, as well as your first kiss.”

“Did Erica tell you that too?”

“Nah I read that.”

“So you lied?”

“Mhm. All for your love.”

“Sounds like a cheesy romance movie stereotype.”

“That sounds absolutely lovely to me, y/l/n.”

“So, boyfriend, what do we do as a first date?”

“We could go annoy Steve and rent a movie, girlfriend.”

“Sounds like a plan, mr. Charmer.”

reader : Umi Kitsune, female, immortal, introvert.

facts : She is summoned by who are in need of help or advice. Reader tends to help others that are their species, though reader may seem cunning and mischievous, she is actually one of the most helpful and kindest kistunes out there. Reader has 9 tails, however has not mastered her powers. Her family, the kitsune guardians and one of the few kitsunes that can transform into human, her family died due to protecting the enchanted forest where she, the reader resides, and now, reader is now the guardian of her forest and ancestors, if she has any left. Most Umi Kitsunes can be found in reader's forest, reader's forest is an extremely big forest. However, Umi Kitsunes are almost extinct due to some unknown reasons, reader, is still investigating. ( will be posting an prologue, so this series will have a masterlist ! )

age : reader has no specific age, however she is thousands of years old, so dw ab her being a minor !!

powers : reader can create illusions, because of this, when she is in danger she summons illusions and flee the scene safely. She also uses this to protect people ( ykwim, the guys n gals. ) She can also posses peoples or kitsunes minds, although she hasn't fully mastered this, she does try and test it with her other kitsune friends ( that can't turn into human )

mask : in combat, the mask will look a little like this or this ( u pick ! u imagine what u want <3 I picked the second mask bcs it looks / has the colour scheme of Xiao ! Xiao's one of my favs hehe )

likes : reader likes rice cakes ( according to google kitsunes like anything rice related ) and onigiri !

clothing : readers dress / outfit looks a little like this ! or you can imagine Yae Miko's clothing on reader, the skirt is js a little more covered. :) this is an example !

scaryish fact : yk how I mentioned reader hasn't mastered her powers yet ? Yeah, she unknowingly kills, she had killed foxes that are stepping in her forest, or maybe even kitsunes. However if you think about it, reader might be the cause of extinction of the Umi kitsunes ? Wrong. There's a different killer, and reader is aware, and due to this, reader's mind has one goal, "kill the killer." Her mind is focused on one task, and that is to kill, how does she kill ? Take Layla as an example, she "sleep walks", but she's wide awake, she just not in her right mind. There are only times when this happens, rather, when the killer decides to attack.

Now the character infos are done, I decided to make it js mu favorite characters instead of like 9 characters LMAOAOA, but I decided to make it Xiao, Wanderer, Cyno, n Tighnari ! Since they're my top favorites n the characters I have the most fun writing, I decided to do them instead, I'm planning on adding Lumine, Aether, and Paimon too ! ( Lumine n Aether are aroace ) idk if I should make it fluff mixed with gore yet, still planning ! Also idk if I should make it multiple endings like which character you end up with yk, or if u got the opportunity to go to teyvat w them, not sure yet, since the planning is still in complete, I'll be finishing telephone first ! Will be editing this whenever I get the chance.

something new pt.II

a monet de haan x reader

the royals of constance billiard have invited you into their ranks, and the princess seems to have a motive.

contains: slighttt angst for kinda shitty parents in the start/middle. mostly fluff and me loving monet. maybe some ooc moments. the writing style changing every section. not really proof read we die like men.

a/n: writing this i realized that the group in ggrb does. not have a name. so corny ass "the royals" it is ! <3 this took me forever but im inspired by gg spotify playlists and pure gay yearning. also what the hell do you call someone with black hair.

if there's one thing you should have expected from becoming friends with the royals of constance billard, it was how quickly they got stuff done.

on your way home from the charity benefit hall, you opened your phone to see that the six enigmas you had met at the party had all followed you and already added you to a group chat. as soon as you open it you already see audrey tagging you and telling you how you're all meeting up tomorrow to go shopping, apparently. lucky you.

once you arrived at your parents townhouse, maybe one of the only things you found bearble at this point was your new home, for its gorgeous interior and exterior and your spacious room, you rushed inside and up to your room so as to avoid whatever bullshit about your behavior they're going to chastise. after cleaning yourself up and getting ready for bed, you laid down and typed ‘sounds like a plan. see u tmmrw.’

putting your phone on your nighstand to charge, you were left to stare at your ceiling and ponder over what happened tonight and asking why. why did these people gravitate to you so quickly? did they just want another rich kid to add to their posse? you knew people just used each other often in your world of the rich and powerful, but god did it seem unappealing.

as much as you hated to admit it, you wanted real friends. hell, maybe even a girlfriend.

as the thought crossed your mind, a certain brown skinned girl with ombre twists crossed your mind, making you jolt up in bed.

“no…no no no dont do that.” you whisper and smack your cheeks, trying to convince yourself that no, you didnt have a crush on probably the most beautiful girl you've ever seen. that was crazy. pure insanity.

it made no sense. you could tell the kind of person she was, the queen bee, (technically the queen bee's second hand, intriguing), the girl everyone wanted or wanted to be and she knew it.

she also seemed a bit mean, which you were normally into.

but you didnt want to get yourself hurt.

not after what happened last time.

and so you fall asleep, thinking of pretty clothes and fake smiles.

youre rudely awakened by your alarm at around eight am, set the night before so you could get ready for the day ahead. you get up from bed, struggling to not check your notifications and messages on your phone before making your way to your on suite bathroom. in there you do your usual morning routine, rinsing off your body in the shower and doing your facial routine at the sink.

once youre finished, you head over to your closet to pick out an outfit when youre phone starts ringing. you see the caller id is max, and you swipe on the green to answer. "hello? you get up ths early too?"

"nah, but i had a feeling you would be. seem like the early bird type." max's voice drawls through the phone, still deep with the effects of sleep. "are you up at the asscrack of dawn because youre excited or because youre used to it?"

you laugh slightly, flipping through your pants and your skirts. "a bit of both, actually. my parents always made me get up really early so i know i have time to do everything. but the sunrise is also pretty."

max's voice laughs through the phone. "thats a good reason, ill admit. personally i like the sunset better."

"then i guess we've come to an empasse..." your voice trails off, finally finding a suitable outfit for looking nice but also being comfy while you walk around. "im about to get dressed, should i call you back?"

"nope put me on speaker, we've got things to talk about before we go shopping today." he states. youre confused, but put the speaker on anyway, giving him the go ahead to start talking.

"alright, youve probably already guessed this because you seem smart, but we all kinddd of want something from you." his bluntness makes you giggle.

"want something? from me? i sure hope its not my money." you joke, smiling as you hear his playful scoff from the phone.

"trust me, we're covered on that front. it was really julien and monets idea to bring you into the group, which congrats for getting in at the speed of light, by the way. i wasnt expecting any new additions considering weve all been mostly best friends for years."

this was monets idea?, you think to yourself as you finally wiggle into your clothing. there was a bit of a connection last night, but you didnt think it was strong enough for someone as seemingly impassive as her to start indoctrinating you into her friend group.

"what do you mean by mostly? you all seemed close from what i saw." you question.

max sighs through the phone, telling you that you might have guessed wrong. "its...a bit complicated. ill explain more of it later. my dads are calling me for breakfast. by the way, do you want me to pick you up later? i dont mind."

"sure, i want to hear all of the group secrets on the way there, though." you joke, laughing harder when he gives a fake laugh through the phone before saying your goodbyes.

after youve gotten dressed and made sure you had everything, you head downstairs to get a quick morning snack before the drive.

after grabbing your quick bite, youre stopped in your tracks by the sight of your mother in the doorway. she's wearing sportswear and her skin is slightly sweaty, meaning she just came back from her morning run. she eyes the food in your hand and you scoff, brushing past her to the front door.

for the next few minutes you stand in front of your home, scrolling through your socials and lightly listening to music until a honk makes you jerk your head up. in front of the sidewalk sits a very nice white car, with a smiling brunette boy looking straight at you.

"hurry up! i dont wanna hear audrey badger me for being late." he yells, making you match his bright smile. you get comfortable in the front seat, already vibing with the song he has playing from his spotify and the sweet smell of his car.

"do you really use a jelly bean air freshener?"

"i needed one that fit my personality."

"ah, i was wondering why i liked you so much."

throughout the drive to the mall, you get closer and laugh more with max, showing each other your favorite songs and laughing at each others lip syncing. after a few minutes, you finally ask him the question thats been on your mind.

"what did you mean earlier when you said you all...mostly got along?"

he stares straight at the road for a few seconds, the corner of his lips quirking up. "do you still talk to the people youve known since you were little? and i mean really little-preschool age."

you think about it beofre shaking you head. because of your parents frequent moving, you didnt make any solid connections. hopefully that would change soon.

"well youre kinda lucky. it sounds great when youre young to be best friends forever but in high school people...change. it starts slowly at first but it gets more noticable. i mean, when we were kids aki was like the mediator of the group, but now hes more impassive. audrey was the mother hen but now shes more overbearing, the list goes on." he rants, his voice sounding more melancholic as he goes on. "dont get me wrong, i love my friends but...everythings changing."

you nod along as he talks about his worries, giving him someone to vent to and taking in all of the information hes telling you.

max parks and you both make your way to the entrance, and he laughs at the look on your face when he says next time you should use the subway.

once inside, the rest of your new group of "friends" come up to you both.

"yn! i hope you made it here alright, hopefully max didnt talk your ear off on the way here." aki says, standing in front of you hand in hand with audrey, who smiles at you.

"youre just soo funny, menzies. you really should pursue a career in comedy." max jokes dryly, punching his friend in the arm playfully. as they start a playful arument, audrey takes your hand and pulls you over to where her and julien were standing.

"its so nice to see you again, yn," julien greets you and takes your arm in hers, audrey taking the one on your other side, "todays gonna be so fun, i promise. monet and luna are over in gucci, but i was thinking of heading over to saks..."

"why dont we meet them in gucci? then we can all shop together..." you suggest, your voice trailing off when you catch the look max is giving you in the corner of your eye.

julien smiles, tugging you along.

you get to the store, eyeing the collection of clothing, purses, and shoes. after a few seconds of looking around, your eyes connect with monets from across the store.

luna is next to her, the noirette talking lowly while shes observing a heel in her hand. but monets eyes stay on you, humming along to whatever shes saying-

"i think this would look pretty on you, yn," audreys soft voice yanks you out of your trance, holding up a cropped coat up to your chest, observing it from all angles.

"yeah, you're right. but its still august, isnt it a little too soon for a coat?"

"it'll get cold quick." monets voice pops up from the other side of audrey, startling you a bit. "didnt you live in maine previously? i wouldve thought all they had was lobsters and snow."

"i traveled with my parents in the winter months often, so i didnt feel the cold. but there were some perks of living there. a lot less...trash."

monets eyes widen and audrey barely stifles a laugh at your comment, the former slightly glaring at the two of you. audrey composes herself quickly.

"monet is right, once it hits late september the temperature starts dropping quick. youre buying it." audrey thrusts the piece of clothing in your hand, starting to look for more in the expensive collection.

monet still stands in front of you, smiling at you with an emotion in her eyes you cant quite place. but if you had to guess, it was nothing good for you.

"what do you want from me?" your bluntness shocks her out of her stupor, the girl crossing her hands on her chest.

"why do you think i want something from you?"

"lets not act coy. i just got here and your merry little band is trying to make me feel as if ive been here for years, and i know you have something to do with it."

she continues to smile at you, tapping her manicured finger on her arm. "and just why would i do something like that? i dont even know you."

alright, this was just pissing you off. "look, im not gonna turn into one of your little pawns. so whatever dumb ass game you're playing, leave me out of it."

"oh, yn," she sighs, bringing her hand up smooth her soft hand down your face, "you're already on the board. and trust me, when the time comes for choosing, youll wanna be on our side. now, lets go shopping, hm?"

you open your mouth to rebuttal but she shuts you up with a wave of her hand, moving directly to your left to loop your arms together and continue walking through the store.

despite some hesitance brought on by your inherent suspicion and monets ominous words, you will admit you had some fun with the group at the mall and going around to see the sights of new york.

but maxs comment from the car rung in your head often, and you noticed how they all had little groups within them. monet and luna mostly stayed to themselves if they weren't getting julien picture perfect for a picture. said julien really only seemed to connect with audrey, talking to obie but his face looked...conflicted?

during your observation your eyes yet again catch on monets, who just gives you a little smile and a wave.

you had a feeling this wouldnt end well for you.

eventually the sun starts to set and conversations start to dull, with julien suggesting you all come to her place and chill and to record some stuff for her instagram. julien calls her drivers to pick you up, but because of the uneven number, someone is going to have to sit by themselv-

"join me in the second car. i wanna talk." monet whispers from behind you, causing a shiver to go down your spine at the sudden nature of it and her closeness. intrigued you oblige, crawling into the back of the suv behind her and settling in.

its quiet for a handful of seconds, only the faint noise of the city and the moving car surrounding you.

"what do your parents do?"

the question throws you off. you would have thought she had done extensive digging on your history.

"theyre in the investing business. they just look to colleges with the most promising alumni and fund their programs. guess they also invest in start up businesses. but frankly i dont care and want nothing to do with it, and im confused at why you're asking me this."

she sighs, as if debating if she wants to speak - or really if she doesnt. she closes her eyes and rubs one of her temples with her fingers before pushing what she wants to say out.

"im asking because i want you on my side. everyone treats me like im just one of juliens dumb followers and that what i do is a joke but its not. i want to actually do something and make a business for myself, thats why i push her so hard. i dont want to join my familys company and i can tell you dont either."

you nod along to her words, not going to ignore her opening up to you. "buttt what do you need me on your side for? are you going to start some kind of war or..."

"i love julien, i really do. we've known each other since before we started teething. but shes changing and becoming this...sentimental wannabe good girl and i know eventually shes gonna leave me and my management in the dust. when it happens i need something to fall back on."

"so what, you do all of this shit for me just to be your back up plan?"

"i did it because i need to trust you. and i need you to trust me." she states, looking you dead in the eyes. you can see the sincerity in her eyes, and you hope its real because if not she was a really good liar. "besides, i know alll about what happened at your last school. you may try to act like some impassive above it, all cool girl attitude, but i know we're a lot more alike than you think."

your heart stops the same time the car does. the sincerity is still there, but nows its sinister. manipulative. and if you were being honest, kinda hot.

"think about what i said. and dont mention this to the others, ok?" monet composes herself, getting out from over you when the door is opened and youre still frozen in place.

you're snapped back into reality when she grabs your hand and helps you out, pressing her shoulder to yours as you walk into the lobby of juliens building. you dont know whether to be scared or excited when she whispers in your ear again.

"it can be our first little secret."

this. took me forever. and kicked my ass. but season two is here so i rushed. id appreciate any feedback bc ik the plot right now feels messy but hope yall enjoyed anyway <333

OP ASL(U) red ridinghood au extra

In the first post of this au, I introduced the basic of plot, some of the characters and the colors of the hoods, so in this post I'll explain how the ranks works and the hoods duties.

The ranks doesn't follow the colors of the hoods, that's just their occupations, what it does are medallions that indicate what rank and power they possed in the corps and to raise it they have to work for it:

Cobalt: Is the beginners phase, they are not put in any mission just yet and instead they prepare them to face what their dealing with. They stay in the corps camps grounds so they can train both fiscally and mentally.

Bronze: In this phase, they still inexperienced like the cobalt, they go in small missions to gain experience little by little and if they're needed in a bigger mission they need supervision of a higher status.

Silver: The seniors or lieutenants, the soldiers with experience depending in how much they put effort, they are send in more difficult missions, if they wish the can escalate to ranks and if they don't they can still be soldiers and can be teachers for the new members.

Gold: The captains or commanders, at these point they are permitted to create squad teams, to be allowed to carry major responsibilities that the superiors requests them. Unlike the silvers, the golds must be promoted by a superior and go to rigorous training to escalate the two remaining ranks since those are extremely important. The golds are the majority of teachers of the corps.

Platinum: This ones are the chairmen and chiefs. They have the authority on leading the ridinghoods, investigation in some cases, invited in meetings with the sapphire ranks and dealing with problems inside and outside of the corps to a certain point. They can also become tutors, taking one new member of their choosing and make then their subordinate. Is rare to see them as teachers.

Sapphire: Also a chairmen, they are generals. The difference is that they are more in involved in the affairs of the Grandmasters, they have major power to lead the ridinghoods and the lower ranks all together and even can have their personal army. Even so, they still have to follow order from the Grandmasters. They provide resources, guidance and occasionally supervise their subordinates to attend to their duties. They get involved in operations and reunions of their Grandmasters, if requested, to talk in behalf of them to speak terms on business.

Diamond: The Grandmasters and the last ones, they are the ones who holds absolute power on the Ridinghood corps. They are the responsible ones of the day- to day managements and operation on the Ridinghood corps. They are the responsible for the ridinghoods to move to a point A to point B, the ones who find the resources for their troops, to put official guilds for the ridinghoods and mostly are involved in the civilian area to ensure the leaders of the villages or countries the safety they need for dangerous creatures. They also are the only ones who has special armies for themselves to do business under the shadows, they have a lot of contacts and spies to insure balance on the corps.

Now the color of the hoods is what represent their occupation, each ridinghood has a specific branch they train or if they want voluntary can learn the most talents they can. Like this, they can either work in solo mode or become a squad.

Red: In the ridinghood corps, these are more glorified and the one of strongest warriors in the corps, elite matter speaking, is common to see red ridinghoods working alone and rare to see them in squads, they are leaders of their own squads mostly. Red ridinghoods are rare to have considering on the responsibility they have, they have to be strong and astute to be at the level of the enemy and they can't be weak. They are send in the most difficult missions that most of people can't complete, allowed to explore the dangerous parts of the unknown and mostly work under the command of the superiors. Have the special privilege on learning all the occupations on the corps at once, since they are the ones who are most send in missions, so is impossible to see a red ridinghood in one place.

Green: The green ridinghoods are not so glorified like the red ridinghoods, but their strength and their strategy in battle are recognized. Greens are often used as bodyguards, they are fearless warriors and basically being trained to adapt at the unknown and imaginable in a rough way. Like their physical training, their intelligence and strategy are also trained to the most impossible cases, able to adapt on the battles, catch their enemies weakness fast and fortifies their weakness. Is rare to see a green ridinghood alone doing missions unless their services alone are absolute necessary, in the majority of cases are in squad teams or helping a higher up, physically speaking.

Copper: The valuable ones in the corps and carrying the responsibility on studying the territories of werewolves mostly, their job is to explore the Grand Line forest from top to bottom, to identify where the werewolves stay, any secret hideout etc. However their jobs endangers them, being the first victims on werewolves attacks and the copper ridinghoods are scarce so they need high protection.

Yellow: Yellows are responsible on creating weaponry, items... building anything is their thing, needed for the battlefield or in the insides of the corpse itself. Like the blues and greys, these are seeing in the camps helping in whatever they need materialy speaking, they can be resourceful depending on the situation and they also made cargos to deliver to other ridinghoodcamps or guild's. They're weaponry is constantly changing, in order to create definite items for the occasion. Browns often are teamed up with the yellows, combining their results of work could lead to advances for the missions and all.

Blue: The blues are another fighters in the corps because most of the time are cooks, they don't have an amazing elevated job so mostly their are seeing in the Ridinghoods camps and in squad teams to provide food. When studying, they studie side by side with the brown ridinghoods, not only the basics of medicine but also learning the unknown ingredients on the Grand line forest that could be either good or catastrophic in the health. They don't get much into missions like green's and reds.

Grey: The greys are the most standard ridinghoods in the corps, the less attention they recived and they are the most one to see on the corps. These ridinghoods have the privilege of the reds to do deliberately whatever they like as long it is useful, mostly the greys are used as fighters, messengers or bargains and occasionally bodyguards. Mostly because the corps itself is neglectful to them. Depending on their talents they can be selected to whatever reason to any member who specifically needs them.

Brown: These ridinghoods specialize in medicine, the browns ridinghood spend years and carefully learn the art of medicine, in a deeper lever to make medicine, venoms or any sort of thing that helps against the werewolves and other creatures. Studding the botanical environment of Grand Line to see what can be offered. They are strictly required to studie lycanthropy, how they can affect a human and also with the burden to find a permanent cure for it.

Purple: The purple ridinghoods, like the brown and copper ridinghoods, the purples have a heavy weight in investigating the werewolves itselfs, their habits, their behavior, their culture, their history... anything related to their nature and home so they can understand them more or use any of this information to their advantage. The purple ridinghoods are scarce as well, cause the werewolves take them down first before anymore information can gets leaked.

Black: These are another elite ridinghoods on the corps and they are less known, in matters of jobs. Unlike the red ridinghoods that they do the superficial work, the black ridinghoods do the underground job, mostly these guys do jobs for the higher ups or they do missions of major importance in the Grand Line if is absolutely necessary. The most secretive of the ridinghood corps, to put it simply they are spies and assassins.

White: This are the absolute elites of the corps, the only hood you have to earn, unlike the red and blacks, the white ridinghoods are the only ones who receive direct contact with the Grandmasters council, their rankings depends on them. The ones who can visibly identify being the superiors, who leads the other ridinghoods and their taken into most important missions, working inside and outside with the corps, sometimes being team up with normal military guard that seek their services or so, the ones who mobilize everything on the corps, the ones who investigate any werewolves activity and certainly the ones who makes sure the ridinghoods do their jobs.

Im trying to read tvc but Im struggling with qotd cause I'm finding all the conflicts to be kind of lacking stakes? Cause I'M still mad about what Armand did to Claudia but it seems like no one else cares anymore. Is this just what the series is cause they're immortal and they get over things cuz I'm not sure I wanna keep going with the series at this point? This is just my sensibilites but I feel like seeing Claudia get murdered on television is going to be a lot more painful and hard to get over.

its entirely up to u w/ how far u want to engage with the immortal universe. i personally found qotd engaging for lore purposes at the very least if nothing else.. the stakes of conflicts do escalate imo, which may be why u feel like they dont matter as much or have stakes anymore as u worded it bc theyre not concentrated to select character dynamics asin the earlier books, but multiple characters dealing w a wider conflict that may not be as easy to ascertain?.. qotd introduces the reader to the mythical origin of vampires in the ricean universe and focuses more on the figures / concepts introduced [twmbk, akasha] at the end of tvl.. i think it was the last book where rice had her editors & after , fired such, but there are some aspects of the later series i do find engaging. the reversal of power dynamics for lxl in tobt: where les begs to be lew’s fledgling and lew is more comfortable openly professing his adoration to les.. & if nothing else, u will find lestat engaging w claudia’s ghost memory in tobt, more of armand’s backstory/rationale in tva & later lew being haunted by clauds to be somewhat engaging. i think ppl who believe amc louis knows of the revelations his white cousin learned in merrick2000 wrt to claudia playing a role into why hes more generous to lestat v his scorned voice in the 70s show interview reliant on his view of lestat’s role in claudia’s death in the second interview r onto something.. i think w the idea that “vampires r created out of trauma” the show sells too suggest that they wont be shy about claudia’s death not only in terms of the actual means but also the repercussions wrt to other characters [i had another anon who asked about this <3] lestat says in qotd most of the vampires long to be human, bc being human has become a myth to [them]. some of this notion of ‘humanity’ is entangled in this idea of forgiveness, even for the most vile of acts committed against them or their close ones.. rice’s immortal universe rly present a fascinating take on what it means to be immortal, and what these creatures consider ‘forgivable’ v ‘unforgivable’ can be considered anywhere from arbitrary to extremely irrational and unforgivable otherwise even, by any decent standards. characters r allowed to be inconvenient, ugly, disturbing, and make foolish decisions. but to say lxl dont care for claudia past a certain point i cant rly agree with that fully. i dont think the tragedy of claudia’s end diminishes her arc or is any indication of ‘faulty’ writing: in fact like i said the reminiscence on claudia vs her haunting of select parts of the later books r what i think r some of its most compelling sections that i want to see the screen. the show pivots from the books in several key ways, while drawing upon them in several more. if the series during/post qotd is not ur thing, u dont rly care for the new posse of vamps , and/or u would rather wait for the later seasons of the show to see how u adapted that is perfectly fine.

But through all of his teasing the fact he wants to be nice the whole way through and that he’s a good, kind boyfriend, even if what he’s saying is contradicting that. The Abyss Sibling: The Witch of Hope

Witch: Active Manipulation class

One who changes their aspect

Alternatively: One who manipulates others with their Aspect

Hope:

Abstract: Conviction, Imagination, Fantasy, Delusion, Actual Hope

Literal: Light, Wings, Feathers, Religion

Despite how very little we have on the Traveler's kin, it's enough to glean off what kind of person she is and how she reacts to the environment she's surrounded by.

Let's start with her aspect of Hope.

People who identify themselves as Hope-bound are known to be motivated by their beliefs and sense of righteousness.

We know that the Traveler's Sibling is working with the Abyss in order to settle a score with Celestia, likely for what it has done to Khaenri'ah and its inhabitants.

Already does she show her belief that Khaenri'ah's punishment was unjustifiable and that going to war with the divine was the only way to avenge their people, seeking to destroy those under the Seven Archon's rule first.

After meeting the archons, her revenge plot sounds sinister. But since we don't what she's witnessed and experienced, there could be a side of that plan that could hold some validity. Even if the Traveler doesn't agree with it.

The Hope-bound are also said to posses a vast imagination, using it to conjure up solutions to injustice and unfairness:

The Abyss order has many creative plots that the Traveler's Sibling surely has helped scheme. One of them using the water dragon Osial and a corrupted statue in order to create a mechanized god to fight Celestia.

The imagery is nothing short of gruesome, more so for a concept as light-hearted as Hope. But to assume that Hope is the aspect for goody-two-shoes, you would be sorely mistaken.

Next there's her class, the Witch.

Witches, along with Heirs, are the magicians. They manipulate their aspect in ways that they think will befit them and their circumstances.

Witch of Life Feferi Peixies was able to bargain with cosmic horrors to create dreambubbles, a sort of afterlife for anyone in any timeline who have perished. Even after either one's waking, dreaming, or both selves are dead, the person can still keep on living as a ghost within those bubbles. Which, in essence, keeps said person alive essentially forever. It was also used to communicate with souls from far away in their sleep.

Then there is Witch of Time Damara Megido who. instead of using her powesr to win SBURB, used her abilities of time-traveling to sabotage her teammates and lead their session into its doom.

In addition to this, a Witch's arc starts with the Witch's surrounding engulfed by their aspect to the point where it influences them. This influence usually has an extension that takes form of what we'll call the Witch's Familiar.

Feferi is the troll heiress of the Alternian empire and is determined to inherit it and change the lifestyle of its inhabitants for the better.

Since birth, Feferi was tasked in keeping her lusus Gl’bolyb pacified and hushed, lest she lets out the Vast Glub and erradicates all life in not just her home planet Alternia, but in the whole universe.

Look at thatt mother-daughter bonding!

Witch of Space Jade Harley spent most of her life isolated from civilization and was raised by her Best Friend/Best Dog Bequerel.

Bequerel is the First Guardian of Earth and possesses an array of cool powers, his most prominent one being able to bend the fabric of space to his will. A power that will be passed onto Jade once she goes Dogtier.

What does this tell us about the Abyss Sibling?

The sibling is considered royalty by the Abyss Order as well as a leader. As one of the few people who not only side with Khaenri'ah, but is also unaffected by curse afflicted onto them by Celestia, she stands as one of the ancient civilization's last hopes.

She has the conviction of their salvation within the palm of her hand and that same conviction engulfs her. Their dreams turn into her's, and now she mans them like a ship, with the Abyss Sibling as its captain.

Her virtuous campaign against Celestia though, may only be a delusion that not only harms innocents, but the people she is trying to help as well.

A crack of her well-intentioned crusade could be seen in the Requiem of the Echoing Depths quest, where her attempt to ease the suffering of the hilichurls only lead to them suffering more pain.

Although the Abyss Sibling is the pinnacle of the Kharnri’aian's salvation, their hopes aren’t the only ones that’s she’s manipulating:

The main character of the game, The Traveler, has only started his journey in hopes of figuring out what happened to his sibling.

Time and time again does she elude the Traveler's eyes, keeping just out of sight. The one time they do meet face to face though, she tells him this:

For the Traveler, there is perpetual hope in him that they'll be together again, and the Abyss Sibling turns that hope into a tether; a motivator for him to complete his journey and to understand the meaning of Teyvat's existence.

Perhaps she is manipulating her own hope as well, stuck so far down in her delusion that Kharnri’ah could be saved that she hopes once the Traveler has finished his journey, he comes to the same conclusion as her and they could once again stand against the Heavenly Principles together.

yanno what im gon take a bite. how does wbs deal with the after effects of the whole BK debacle? u did mention he is quite capable of gettin the trauma ouchies here, so does she cope in any kind of way or just kinda.... tries to ignore the whole thing even tho her very own headpiece has the potential to trigger her 👁

THIS TURNED OUT REAL LONG SORRY I JUST THINK SHES INTERESTING but, i imagine the whole situation was EXTREMELY jarring because shes used to being the one possessing others- depending on how you think her possession works, its possible she can even hear bits of what her hosts thinking/ feeling while they cant control their bodies and she must have heard the same bits of the same panic from these hosts over and over until she just tunes it out.

now though, having been on the receiving end of not having contol of your body, watching it do terrible things and end everything you care about (whether thats hurting family or ruining destiny) i would think it would definitely give her pause.

it might even be, you know, difficult for her to make herself possess another host after that. i feel like it would be okay until she feels that same helpless fear in her (her hosts) head and then all of a sudden, shes back, remembering what it was like being BK and her control on the host slips. all of a sudden its not this new hosts panic, its her own panic and she might even boot herself out of the hosts head because the feeling is so wrong and so familiar

we dont have nearly as many clues about her emotional state/ relationships with others/ history as we do for, say, swk. but when she first got released im not sure she had much of a choice on wether to possess dbk or not considering he absorbed her power, which is probably a big part of why he went off the rails so fast

my personal thoughts on her situation was that since the actual coffin part of the crypt she was in had been broken open from the inside she was clearly awake in there, and i think shed been collecting enough power to contact the mayor and get the key. so like, looking at this as her last traumatic event and how she delt with that, i imagine her plan is to start up with her destiny schemes again. distract herself and throw herself into figuring out the next steps, except that thats going to be VERY hard to do now, since shes just watched the bone king undo everything

and this part also probably threw her off in a major way because this wasnt in the cards, this wasnt destiny, or it certainly wasn't the destiny she thought.

(also probably maddeningly frustrating because from the very start her plan was to fully posses swk, and shes left wondering wether the creation of the bone king was a magical fluke or if her whole plan hinged on something that was never possible to start with)

-She wasn't bitten by a spider. Meaning she doesn't posses spider sense or strenght (yes, she's broken bones lol)

-She broke af too lmao her suit mostly consist of a sleevless black body suit, a hoodie, sneakers, and some googles (also one of those fabric mask that covers hafl of ur face, u know those that u use to protect from the sun and stuff)

-She only has the web shooters that she stole as her only spider-man qualification.

-She isn't part of the spider society due to being an "anomaly." Like my marvel story she was transported from the real world, giving her the ability to go through comic panels and break the forth wall.

-She has no world to belong to, so her going to world to world doesn't make her glitch

-She tends to struggle sometimes when getting food (she gets help later tho) and spends most of her time on her "void" which is just a white space outside the comic panels

-She doesn't consider herself a spider-man, due to being physicaly weak she has lots of doubts into being useful or considered a vigilant to any means

-gets hit on by hot dudes btw and I so respect her for that 😌💅

Thus became her own special breed of spider person.

Maybe she researches spider people trying to find others like her. Find the comics n reads all the ones she can find. Creates her own bracelet thingy trying to reach them (completely unaware of the society). She travels to a few worlds but doesn’t actually make contact with the spiders there, but notices they all have a similar signature. Maybe she travels to one world and finds two signatures and one is vastly different (but similar in a way to her own, as a real world girlie) and she finds ur lil guy 👀👀👀.

I understand that to an outsider, the situation with Orion Pax and Megatron of Kaon does seem... foolish. However to answer your query, I must first give you some information.

Disregarding my personal connections and your opinionated statement, there are a plethora of reasons why I cannot kill or incarcerate Megatron of Kaon. Firstly, I was offline long enough for Megatron to cement himself into society with his Conjunx. To remove him from his place now would be seen as betrayal to the people and cause uproar amongst former Decepticons. It may not seem like it, but there are hundreds of Decepticon war veterans on Cybertron. They largely keep their helms down due to discrimination that I am even now working to resolve. However if angered, they will rise up again and restart the war. We █re █oo we█k from the war and we do not have nearly enough soldiers to end things quickly. A new war would be long, drawn out, and doo█ ou█ pl█net all over again unless I personally wipe out every last remaining Decepticon. As you might expect, I cannot do that.

With that said, I also cannot imprison Orion for the very same reason. Putting him behind bars or ending his life would bring the wrath of Megatron down on my helm... and that I do █o█ █elieve █ wo█l█ █u█v█ve, at least not without increadible civilian casualties. Megatron is touched by Unicron just as I am by Primus. If he lost his Conjunx, I do not doubt that he would put his entire spark into my destruction. Even my death would not sate him, and that is what I fear most. He would then target my beloved, whom I know he hates a great deal. And even then he would not stop and likely move onto ending the lives of my friends, compatriots, and inner circle. Not to mention I do not believe he would even allow Bumblebee or Smokescreen to escape unscathed. I dare not even consider in much depth who else Megatron would eliminate in his rage if he killed me first.

Aside from those reasons, Orion Pax and Megatron of Kaon posses unique skills, connections, and knowledge that is greatly required at the present moment. Orion for one has information thought lost with the destruction of the archives. To kill or remove him would leave millennia of still unprocessed data to be lost forever. In Megatron's case, he is a living relic of a bygone era. He has information and knows what a corrupt government looks like. If he dies, I will no longer have his knowledge either. Both are vital to Cybertron so early in its restoration. Perhaps after a few millennia one or both of them 'vanishing' would be acceptable, but so early is simply asking for suffering to follow.

Then there is the more... personal reason that I would never dare end one or both. Megatron is someone important to me. I could not tell you why in completeness. But he gave me a sense of control during the war, a momentary break from that chains that held me. I do not understand it myself, but he reminds me of something I can no longer place. His face is familiar to me, and not because of Orion's memory. I... recall someone similar, darker and more powerful, but alike to him. For that reason, I cannot help but wish for Megatron to linger.

But for Orion the reason is more... serious. It is not common knowledge, and in fact I did not really understand myself until I woke in this new frame and times passed by.

Orion is w█a█ █s keepi█g me █l█ve, to a degree at any rate. My connection to him keeps my spark ablaze in this mortal realm and without him, I would slowly weaken if not perish. It would likely take millions of years so long as I do not push myself, but without him here in the mortal realm to bind me, my spark would slowly lose its connection to my frame and putter out. The Matrix can only do so much to keep me here. Why do you think the Primes have hosts at all? We require a binding agent. It is akin to when one attempts to force to magnets to come together the way they are not intended to. It requires extreme effort and outside forces to ensure it succeeds. Orion is that outside force. He binds me to this mortal frame. His death would end in nothing but my own end. Imprisonment would also likely lead to far more... p█i█ for me as well.
