As I’ve said on Twitter: I won’t lie, I’ve been putting off this design for a while because a zebra is a very complicated design animal-wise with its patterning- so I wasn’t sure how to represent this flag in the best way I can. Any feedback is welcome! I plan on turning some of the pride animals into stickers and buttons to sell IRL in conventions, and I’d really like to include this one :-)

just finished the second season of black sails and i gotta say i understand why it makes queers go feral

#i’m frothing at the mouth #black sails #i watched the first season yesterday and didn’t really enjoy it much #the pacing is really weird the characterisation was shallow at best and the whole thing stank of game of thrones levels of forced edgyness #but man the second season slapped so hard full 180 turnaround #the flashbacks were expertly crafted all major characters have relatable motives and they pull through ruthlessly #their fatal flaws are right there and like a greek tradgedy it all happens exactly how it must #in revealing it’s nature as a character study of flint and of what broke him so utterly the pacing actually becomes so poignant and perfect #with each new bit of information we’re given we understand his urgency his ruthlessness his unwavering calm hatred #he’s turned himself into a proper fucking monster and it’s tragic because it could only have ever gone this way #there’s no way out and the show being a prequel we know he lives we know he can’t win #actually doomed by the narrative in the worst/best way #but by god i just want his to set the world aflame

I have no idea what circles you’re in that have people like this. I won’t deny they exist bc I’m certain they do, but I’ve seen so many ppl who love RWBY with all their hearts talk about multiple things across the volumes they didn’t like or wish had happens differently or where a scene was weak or where the pacing was off. Especially after people politely explained issues they had with V9 while still throughly enjoying the volume as a whole.

Again I’m not denying the existence of mindless praise but I have to ask WHO you’re coming across who In Earnest and not as a joke say the show is 100% Perfect For Real. Bc in the 10 years I’ve been watching the show I have not seen those people. Which maybe means I’m lucky?

But I feel like RWBY specially gets so much hate and shade and ppl talk about “bad writing” every other episode for the past six volumes like. Bruh if it’s THAT bad HOW are you still watching?
