Silly little treat for myself, here’s my favorite WATT fic I’ve written to this day out of like, 20+ that float around in my head constantly :) There’s just something about a We Are The Tigers Time Travel Fix-It AU that sparks joy I have to say

Summary: Without any warning, Farrah is thrown back from the night she got stabbed in Riley’s bathroom to… Two hours before then. She has no idea how and why she’s traveled back in time, but she’s going to try her absolute best to stay alive this time. Plus, she’s not alone in this endeavor, and she and her accomplice are going to commit time crimes and try to throw one of their friends into prison for murders that haven’t actually happened yet. It’s a lot harder than it sounds.

I just watched the season 2 trailer of OFMD and I recently listened to the soundtrack of We Are The Tigers for the hundredth time, so how does everyone feel about a really broken WATT au of Our Flag Means Death.

Let’s get into it.

First off, we have Edward as Riley!

“Worst Team Ever” fits Stede more, but Riley’s character and insanity fit Edward better.

Izzy is Cairo, obvs. I cannot listen to Wallflower without hearing them.

Stede is Reese. Do I really need to explain that one?

As for Farrah and Annleigh I imagine their characters are assigned per song. For Forever, Annleigh is Lucius. But the whole song for him is just flirting and playing around. For Farrah’s death, Calico Jack. “Farrah hated Farrah, too.”

And then for the part at the end with Annleigh “I never said God killed Farrah”, it’s Nigel. (Something about Nigel being apart of the team- -er, crew itches something in my brain like a dog getting it’s belly rubbed.

Ahem, moving on.

There’s the case of Chess and Kate. In this case, though, it’s Fang and Ivan. They’re honestly the only people who fit. I know Jim and Oluwande make sense but stay with me.

Finally, Jim is Eva. Specifically, the Jim at the end of the show, when they’re with Edward’s crew.

Flying Low

A magical AU where Law is a raven shapeshifter, but has had his wings torn off, so he is always using a cane to balance himself and he lives in seclusion in the forest. He absolutely doesn't trust, well, anyone. Whether humans or other shapeshifters or any other race, he doesn't approach anyone and does everything he can to not let them approach his home either. But that changes when one day a guy just falls from the sky. It literally falls from the sky. Right in the middle of Law's herb garden and although he really wants to get rid of this invader, he can't get rid of his curiosity because Law's house is in the middle of the forest, far from peaks or mountains, so where the hell is this guy came from and, even better, how did he survive the fall? Curiosity (and his sense of duty as a healer) causes Law to drag the guy inside and nurse him back to health. 'The guy' soon wakes up and gets a name, Luffy, who reveals himself to be a priest of the Sun God's temple, which makes sense to Law, since Luffy's magic seems totally opposite to his, a raven whose species is constantly attributed to the Goddess of Darkness, Nika's enemy. All this, however, does not explain how Luffy fell out of nowhere from the sky and it only gets worse when not even Luffy knows how it happens. Unfortunately for Law, meeting Luffy is a path of no return and in the blink of an eye his isolated and peaceful life is disturbed by the priest who, after returning to full health, becomes a noisy guest in Law's small cabin. Things get weird when Law's wings start to grow back, white instead of black, at the same time that Luffy also starts to change. For worse. His health simply declines and his magic grows and becomes out of control, becoming a danger to everything around him, excluding, in some way, Law. Desperate to understand and help Luffy, Law begins his journey out of seclusion toward the capital's temple, where Luffy is said to serve as a priest. But dragging a time bomb in the shape of a man all the way to the capital is not simple when you are alone and Law has no option but to accept the growing number of people who seem to be drawn into Luffy's orbit and who decide to accompany them on the journey

hello 1.5 members of wattblr i have a question for you

so i'm pretty sure the venn diagram of watt fans and people who have read it goes like this by miel moreland contains two people (one of whom is not a member of the group i am surveying and thus does not count), but i still want to ask if anyone would have any interest in possibly reading some sort of iglt watt au?

the premise is pretty simple and also very fun: the book centers around cairo, farrah, eva, and kate (most of the others also have smaller roles in the story). in middle school, the four of them formed a band that was never supposed to play anything bigger than a school talent show, but then their first EP that they made just for fun got discovered by a big name producer and by the time they were 17/18, they were selling out stadiums on their very own headline tour and had won two grammys. however, at this point, cairo decided she wanted to act instead, farrah wanted to go home to be with family, and eva wanted to go solo as a musician, so despite kate's efforts to keep them together, the band breaks up - and so do eva and kate, because eva doesn't know if she knows how to be her own person and if she really can keep kate if she wants a solo career.

the four of them pretty much go completely scorched earth with each other and all start doing their own thing - farrah goes home and comes out as nb, cairo starts acting and is in a movie on netflix, eva writes two albums and goes on a sold out stadium tour, and kate starts songwriting for other artists and goes to college at UCLA, and they don't talk until a year and a half after the breakups, when a storm hits their hometown and someone proposes a reunion concert to raise money for the people affected by the storm. they all agree, because they care about the cause and about helping where they can, but the week of rehearsals is tense and emotionally fraught because none of them really know how to be around each other anymore - and cairo is trying to get eva to stop singing to sold out stadiums about kate and to start talking to her instead, but kate is very resistant and still angry at the others and especially eva for both breakups.

all this to say that you absolutely should read it goes like this, it's one of the best books i have ever read, but even if you haven't read it, i simply want to know if anyone actually gives a shit about the concept of a band au with this premise?
