hi! have you heard that lokius is canon in the spanish dub?? so i looked up the hungarian dub what's the situation there and they made it worse... when loki says at the end of ep6 that "for you. for all of us" it's translated as "for you, sylvie. for all of us" (érted, syIvie. mindnyájunkért). WHY??? at least there's no syIvie in the sub translation (és ráadásul még mindig magázódnak mobiusszal...)
Na, ne is mond 😭
I don’t understand why they would even specify Sylvie because let’s be real they had no chemistry whatsoever I’m sorry. They built up his relationship with Mobius so well, and they had genuine chemistry. I remember in season one when it was finally revealed that Loki is also attracted to men, I was hoping they’d give him a male love interest. The whole Sylvie x Loki thing is so awkward, she wanted nothing to do with Loki lol She got a happy ending!!! Mobius was left heartbroken, clearly they had a much stronger bond.

One thing about young royals that I haven't seen a lot of people talk about is how it portrays heteronormativity and systemic homophobia. I have seen posts about how there isn't really any open homophobia because Sweden is a very cool and open-minded country (and that's SOOO refreshing) but that doesn't mean there's no kind of discrimination at all.
If we look at heartstopper (the TV series) for example. It's kind of an "if the bullies are gone it's all good" story (oversimplifying a bit). I'm not saying that's bad. Sometimes you need that fluff.
But so many (straight) people act like it's all fine because gay people can get married. I know straight people who think gay people aren't adequate parents but they would get super defensive if I called them homophobic because they wouldn't actively hurt them. Young Royals is the only show I can think of that explicitly talks about this. (A lot of media suffers itself from heteronormativity but that's different). It's the Queen saying she'll support him but also calling queer relationships unconventional. It's the implications of a gay king, which isn't bad in and on itself, but then it is because he couldn't have kids and our society still sees any family that isn't from a 60s commercial as "lesser". It's how the students make each other stand on the desk when they make out with someone (from another house because houses are single gender) but the concept falls apart when they're gay.
There are a lot more that I can't think of right now. In general I feel like while the monarchy and Wilhelm being a prince is obviously a huge thing on its own, it also acts like somewhat of a mirror of society.

I have sooo many questions about Hell's ecosystem in Hazbin
You know... All those different people coming from all those different generations and walks of life... Does Hell have different eras? Did they ever have a Renaissance of their own? Any holidays created that only exist there? Any events they would deem "historical" or worth remembering (even in a place like Hell)?
Like "Hey, there was this crazy crack of an overlord a while back who had a ton of influence. He decided to theme the entirety of Pentagram City based on his obsession with dodos. Yeah, he was taken down a few years later, but we no longer talk about the dodo incident of 1925."
Also, all the different circles of Hell are like their own seperate countries. They can't really go to war with each other (or can they?) even if they were really motivated to. You know, because of their different ideas of what's "good" and "normal" (for Hell anyway). They're all suffering but they have different values. The Wrath ring will value different things compared to the Gluttony ring, for example.
Do cultures intermingle? Since hellborn can travel throughout all rings without repercussions? Does someone take the time to write about all the differences? Do they exchange books? Is there a library?
On that note, what about sinners from one ring only? If homophobes and lgbtq+ activists end up in the same place, do they form different factions that war with each other? Like gang wars of some sort? Or do they accept they would have to live with each other real fast before the horrors of Hell kill them all for the second time?
What about the many Christians in hell? When they end up in there and start denying that they belong there - it would become such a common occurrence people would probably give them a meme name like Karen is irl. Like "Ugh, a Jeez/Chris came in my bar today. Kicked up a right fuss, well, more than usual. The residents at least liked the show, laughed the dude right out the doors!"
And so many, many other things like that.

can you give me hope about finding lesbian love by telling me about how good your relationship is
okay!! sooo my gf and i originally met thru an online dating app and bc i was still living n bahrain n she’s living in germany, we couldn’t meet for the first 7 months that we were talking on. we got to a point where we were calling each other every day and being on call together for 24+ hours and falling asleep on the call too (keep in mind she was already working full-time back then),,, it was nice bc we rly got to know each other n understand each other which also helped build a trust. after 7 months, it was nearing my bday, and so she used the money she earned to buy a ticket and meet me on my bday. she flew all the way to bahrain and when i was walking up to her at the airport to pick her up, her first words were “ur shorter than i thought” (im somewhere around 168/169 cm and she’s 153 cm….) and it was the end of july,, she stayed w me in my room and we kissed not long after bc we were smoking together n i said “we basically just kissed!” and she said “not good enough. i want the real thing” and i said “ok u can have the real thing” so that was our first kiss. anyways like 2 days later we were laying in bed and we were talking n she said sth about wanting us to be official or sth or we were both implying it and so i asked her if she’s saying that she wants to be my gf & she said yes & she asked me the same thing n i said yes. then 4 days later it was my 24th bday and she and my sister were sneaking around so she can wrap the gift she bought for me n then we went out for dinner w my family (found out that night that my homophobic uncle has a crush on her lool and he then found out that she’s with me n was pissed at both of us -_-) anyways she then gives me this present lmao and she tells me she was scared she’d get jailed for it and i was like girl chill… ur not going to jail over silly wrapping paper.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
some time later she insisted that we hire a lawyer bc i was being discriminated against by the german immigration people with my visa and she even paid for it at first!! anyways it helped me get my visa in the end bc their delaying and rejection was unlawful lol and i ended up moving to germany & living with her about 2 months after we became officially gfs. fast forward to a year later (together for over a year & living together for almost exactly a year), we’ve travelled around germany & to another european country together, developed a shared hobby in bouldering, seen our bouldering idols, adopted a kitty together, celebrated 4 of our birthdays together, she’s surprised me for my bday, and more. here’s a recent pic of our lil family (she was sleeping n i was a mess hence my face being censored)
Tumblr media
idk what else to add but mentioned everything i could think of 🥺 you’ll be able to find someone im sure,,, it just takes time & patience cause the lesbian dating pool is tiny but if i, a lesbian that was living in bahrain (where the hetero dating pool is limited nvm the lesbian one), could somehow find another lesbian n we not only got along n have aligning views n are compatible but also ended up loving each other then i don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible for u. before this relationship i had only ever been in abusive or toxic relationships, i rly felt hopeless n like im gonna die alone but im rly glad i didn’t settle for someone or give up bc otherwise i wouldn’t have found her 🥰❣️

I love being a lesbian seriously, even if non-lesbians give us so much BS for it I love the fact that we are so strong, I mean we HAVE to be especially in the past.
I'm so grateful for the lesbians in the past who fought hard for the rights we have today, I'm so grateful for the lesbians older than me, hearing about their experiences all over the world and learning from it, so grateful for lesbians my age to talk to and relate to one another, it's also sooo cute to see lesbians younger than me and the way they are growing and learning about themselves 😂
But unfortunately most of this is online for me since I live in a slightly homophobic country, but still, I'm grateful.
Even though being a lesbian can be tough it's lonely, tiring, annoying, sad, and frustrating there are also benefits to it, u know? Like being free from society rules whether u may be a butch or femme or between or none lol, being mentally strong and not caring living your life freely, having relationships that are equal and much more.
I like it :)

bro im sorry but homosexuality is very much legal in hungary (which is a western country..)??? of course its still a very homophobic country (prob among the worst in europe when it comes to gay rights) but hungary doesnt have laws against homosexuality nor is it a non western country
i live here????????
1. it's a second world fascist "democratic" right wing extremist country in eastern europe with almost none of the economic strength, laws, liberalism, privatisation or other economic systems typical to the western world. we literally have nothing in common with the west other than being in the eu/nato/un.
2. WHAT DO YOU FUCKING MEAN ??? BRUH WHAT DO YOU MEAN. WHAT DO YOU MEAN. trans people can't legally nor medically transition. you can literally go to prison for telling a child that gay people exist or even being gay in front of them. any media featuring any amount of gay content needs to be labelled 18+ and isn't allowed to air on tv unless censored. bookstores aren't allowed to sell any lgbt material and if they do they need to hang a huge sign saying "this store sells material that can potentially alter the minds of children" on it. there's several people in parliament actively campaigning for the full extermination of gay people. like are you actually serious right now??????
AND CRUCIALLY even if there weren't laws against LGBT shit. i still won't have some american asshole come into my inbox acting like i don't know what real homophobia is because I can't appreciate rainbow capitalism while they, a ~queer elder~ know it sooo much better than me. like shut the actual fuck up you literally run the risk of getting arrested for being lgbt in this country and I haven't left the house without being called a slur in idek how long. how is anyone gonna act like I don't understand what a privilege even having rainbow capitalism is when it's LITERALLY NOT SOMETHING THAT'S LEGAL HERE. dear god

Sooo im on the intermission grief chapter... Have not read it yet, i physically cant... Anyway, im probably quitting reading anything from cc, she causes me pain anger and frustration over fucking nothing.
Nothing gets solved, not in a satisfactory way atleast, shitty traits of shitty characters are brushed under the rug,
Matthew inserting himself in cordelias bussiness with her own fucking brother after her father GETS MURDERED in choi, and its never addressed again. Yall he made cordelia feel guilty about loving her own brother who sacrificed his childhood for her. I do feel bad for Matthew's alcoholism, but damn yall he was a little shit before that.
Elias dying without and being absolutely useless as a ghost. And us not getting any of Alastairs sass+angst about this dead beat asshole. Like c'mon yall.
Anna, she is problematic herself lets not even get into that, all her shitty qualities are in that one chair u have in the corner of ur room, which u've thrown a huge blanket over bc the guests are coming. I need a whole separate post for this asshole. (Opinions from the pov of a brown person)
Charles, just bc hes gay doesnt mean i need to feel bad for him, hes a fucking pedo and can choke on his own spit and die a painful death. The scene where alastair Matthew and Thomas chew him out is not nearly long enough or cathartic enough... TLH fanfic community, yall better not let me down too, i need this bestie pls.
I love thomas in this book but come on, i feel like he needs to at least confront Alastair about what Alastair went thru during the academy era. The sanctuary scene sucked yall, but now we got the carriage scene so i hope yall can get ur head out of the "thirsty for content bucket" long enough to face that fact.
Christopher "THATS MY SON😭😭😭MY BOY😭😭😭" cc, with all due disrespect, fuck you. this one? This one fucking hurt. I hope u step into a small puddle of water on the floor with ur socks on for the rest of ur life.
Happy for jordelia, i need the 3 mentally unstable brother in laws ( james, Alastair, jesse) bonding
[P.s. sorry if i offend anybody, i am writting this with a headache, blocked nose and a broken annoyed heart]
To me cc is a racist ass, homophobic, transphobic person and it it clear she doesnt know how to write characters of color, or characters who arent cishet. And heavily believes on the miracles of 💖Coming out💖.
-sincerely a desi gay enby teen posting from a country where i could get jailed for existing <3

I've seen quite a few people around the world talking on Twitter about what's going on in France right now, that we're just revolting over the pension reform at 64 years minimum
I am not a specialist in politics or economics, just a student of history, unemployed, from a small middle class family far from the big cities
So the pension reform, I've already talked about it a bit, is the last straw. We were lucky before to have a pension age of 60, then 62 in 2010, and to be the ones who retired the earliest compared to the other European countries around us, which exceed 65 years of age
With this reform, the minimum retirement age is 64, unless you have had a long education or started working fully before the age of 21 (as I have at the moment), in which case you will have to work longer to compensate for the years of study, and on average higher education in France is 3 to 5 years for masters. The pension is calculated in semesters, not years, but in any case, a student who has completed 5 years of study without having worked continuously before 21 will automatically have to work at over 65 from now on
This is if the person has access to money to live on after retirement. I think that no matter what country you are in, you know that many older people continue to work for a living or become homeless
Also, this pension reform should not have been put in place, it's Prime Minister Borne who forced it by using for the 11th time in 1 year, the 49.3 procedure, an undemocratic procedure that should normally be used in case of emergency
Add to that the inflation that has affected everyone with the war in Ukraine where the consumer (the people) is the one who loses the most
Also, we have had Macron for 6 years now who takes us for fools, if he was re-elected once, it is only to prevent Marine Le Pen, main head of the extreme right (political party of racists, homophobes, neo-nazis etc...), from being elected. But Macron was not elected for what he is! He was just the default choice! He too is rotten, privileging the richest (very minority)
He keeps closing more and more classes in schools (some primary classes have more than 40 students at present while in my time (I am 21 years old), there were still about twenty per class). He is also closing more and more beds in hospitals, nurses and doctors testified after the Covid crisis that they had to, in the resuscitation services, make the choice to let the weaker or older people die to leave the beds in resuscitation for people who were most likely to survive
I think there is no need to develop on he's inaction for ecology...
Let’s also talk about demonstrations, the national sport of France since forever
The problem with the demonstrations is that the police, the Brav-M, are not properly trained! They are bludgeoning absolutely everyone, demonstrators or not, even journalists who are supposed to be branded with their press cards. There are insults, abusive statements, sexual touching. There are problems of excessive power in the police but this brigade beats all the records
Anyway, there are demonstrations because we’re saturated. It’s not out of pleasure that people go out on the street to take blows, it’s because we can’t keep being docile

isn’t that tummy blog owner aware that it’s incredibly homophobic to assume that every time two queer men are next to each other (or they’re friends) it means they’re fucking or in a relationship? I don’t even know how Omar identifies, but it’s obvious they know each other.. he’s been to his concert, they interact on social media. Ya know? Normal things friends usually do? 😆
“Oh, no! Pedro was seen in the same country as xyz! They’re fucking!”
Lol. It’s also so funny to see the narrative control resources she uses when she wants to start a rumor. She will omit certain pieces of information (like cutting him and Javiera off the pics to make a mystery about it, like it’s something to hide, and to not attract attention to his sister because that would be a problem to the narrative), she will not give the full context, like saying they are friends, Pedro and Tessa went to his concert together, he had a concert in Madison Square Garden and this is why he was in NYC. AND she will pick up some other pieces of info and twist them and spin them to serve a narrative purpose, like saying a friend of his unfollowed Omar “recently” when he actually did back in May, so she can spin them to serve two boyfriend narratives.
A homophobic and a fetishist manipulator thinking we don’t know her m.o. by now after sooo many narratives were pushed (and ALL of them were wrong so far!) 🤭🤭🤭🤭

Hello! Happy June! It's Pride and I have another question (2/30)
It is well known that the first Pride in June 1970 took place one year after the Stonewall Riots in 1969, but do you know who organised it originally? Her name was Brenda Howard, and I think she is best described by the bright pink pin she always wore, which said "Bi, Poly, Switch - I know what I want." She was friends with many of the people involved in the original riot and first organised a one-month anniversary riot in July of 1969. Then, one year after Stonewall, she and a committee planned Gay Pride Week and the Christopher Street Liberation Day Parade. Because of this, she is often referred to as "The Mother of Pride" and her original idea eventually transformed into the New York Pride celebration we see today.
One of the committee members L. Craig Schoonmaker is responsible for coining the word "Pride" in this context, and said in 2015 “A lot of people were very repressed, they were conflicted internally, and didn’t know how to come out and be proud. That’s how the movement was most useful, because they thought, ‘Maybe I should be proud.’”
Though the parade started off with only a few people showing up at the set time of 2pm, by the end of the event they had thousands of people filling 20 blocks of the city. Today, New York Pride regularly exceeds 2 million people!
So my question today is: have you ever attended a Pride parade? And if so, was it like you expected?
Happy Pride 🌈 🎉
hehe! i have attended to pride!! i'm not out and my country is fairly Homophobic tm so i attended with mask and stuff yet it was sooo great, i hope i can go with new friends this year !

hello gaby... probably you have already been asked this question but in your other blog (R.I.P). How did you become a Larrie? how did you know about them?
Hi, it's a funny story actually haha. It's a real learning curve.
So, disclaimer, I'm from a very homophobic country (Hungary), where when I grew up I only saw mom-dad families therefore of course all of my core values came from my upbringing. Even today the vast majority of people who call themselves open are only good w gayness if they don't "flaunt it". I know it's horrible. But that is also fascinating in how the true love of 2 boys/men can change the view of someone who was by definition predominantly homophobic (this was me yes). So, I'd say, this country is not like USA where you can see bars, and trans people proudly dressing up on the street, which would normalize the experience, here in my country this is happening behind closed doors or in the very few gay clubs we have. And here no one even thinks of other sexuals, or other sexualities, so it's straight or gay. Genders? Male or female. No other box to tick or no "not wishes to share" boxes.
Alright enough of the disclaimer, here is the story:
I also was one of those bitches who teased Adam's niece for her love for 1D. (I know I know - as I said: learning curve)
It's important to note that I have this natural tendency to alienate myself from things that are popular, and I'm stubbornly not loving something just because it's popular. Things can grow on me of course (like in this story), but 1D was everywhere, they were pushed down on my throat, if you opened the basin 1D would come out instead of tap water, they were in my favorite movie's premiere, and I was like no, go away, that's MY movie, you're not even actors.. just no!
I took one look at Louis to deduct ok he's gay - it was not hard to deduct - and I know it's superficial, but again, I am from a homophobic country.
Then one fateful night at the end of March 2014 I happened to be in Holland for a business trip and in the hotel room alone I had some time to kill. So for the lack of a dvd player or good TV programs (everything was in Dutch!) I grabbed the laptop and I went on YouTube to find some videos, and I cannot say why, but I was like, let's check 1D's TXF performances out. At that point I never even heard them live, only via mainstream radio. So I checked the videos one by one and they were GOOD, they could SING, and that was surprising to me...
And as I went through the videos, I got a rec (not FIMQ) but a rec which had such a clickbait title, that even my previously stubborn, but now very curious self chose to watch.
youtube
It was this video, I can't believe it's still out there. So long story short, it took me 2 seconds to get convinced they really are in love. The video was kind enough to explain the then-valid situation that the fandom SUPPORTS them, and it's only the management/industry which is not letting them come out.
And this really started a huge turmoil in my head because on one hand I was taught something, it was ingrained in me that a family is mom and dad and a couple is a girl and a boy, but what I saw, it was so genuine, it was heartbreaking, and who the fuck decided that what they feel is wrong? So I started digging like a moron, and by moron I mean that I went to bed at 3 AM and my taxi was supposed to pick me up at 5 AM so I slept TWO hours, because I was sooo buried in my laptop, with so many tabs open, and so many question marks. As I said, it was very clear from the video they're genuine. The only question I had ok but are they still together, we wrote 2014, and the video was made in 2013 May, so it was already a year old when I watched it. Again, it didn't take long to find they were still very much real and they were about to start the WWA tour. So I jumped to tumblr, created a blog, learned the ins and outs of this hellsite, followed those whose posts were informative, and built my old blog.
I am now a very well known liberal in our family, I even went against the political views in my family, and my mom simply had to understand. I also told to Adam that when Lizi reaches a point of needing a talk, he'll support me in enlightening her of the world she's not seeing because it's still not normalized in this country, and we're trying to do a good job - she still says it's strange (m/m or f/f) - I tell her it's not something she sees but it's super normal and if she ever feels something is not okay with the mold this society wants to put her into, then it's okay, we're here, we're supporting her, she can count on us.
Back to the niece: I told her wow this Larry is a real thing do you know this? And she's like yeah they're friends, and btw Louis has a gf. I'm not sure if she mentioned Harry, but I specifically remember hearing Eleanor as a reason. And I'm like no honey they're a couple and her reaction made it pretty clear we're not on the same page. So I gave her time. WWA kicked off and me being me, I sent her some gifs, some vids, some links that come on, even the fool can see it's NOT platonic. I sent her tattoos, and you know what's funny, the more I kept digging, the more proof I found, which was undeniable like the tats, but it was not even the main thing that got me believe in them. And I think one of those complimentary tats was fresh as hell before WWA (I need to look at the tattoo timeline). I checked the timeline so in 2014 Jan H got the anchor and in March L already had the arrow...) And also Strong-Happily!!! Soon I got to know the real Louis Tomlinson and the real Harry Styles, and I became very invested that they make it, that they win, because they deserve it!
Back to Adam's niece: I gave her a bit of time to consume the content and the fact that those 2 are undeniably together and that E is a beard. I think a few months later she came around, we were at a family event, (covid what) and I just chatted w her and SHE brought Larry up, until then I strictly avoided it, and she's like I realized E is a beard and th boys are together. And my mom nature immediately kicking off: so are you supporting them? You know it's not right that just because they fell in love it isn't okay/normal/accepted. And she said yes I support them. I was sooo happy! We couldn't SHUT up after that, we were reminded several times that lunch is readyyyy, but we were like 2 whispering schoolgirls haha.
So, summa summarum, they changed me, they changed my whole attitude, they changed what had been ingrained in me by showing it's genuine, it's not this negative picture the government portray gay relationships, and my change affected my husband of course, and will affect our 2 daughters. I also told my mom that she should be open, because if I happen to be non-straight I expect her to love me just like she does today and I know she secretly changed her views too. At least being a bit more open. Everything is still so hidden here, you don't see people coming out, you don't see these examples that could set more examples and start an avalanche of co's, at least definitely not in the public world, so it's still a long way to go, but good news, the younger generation is so much more accepting and has a lot more liberal views than our grandparents and ancestors.
This became long as hell but it was good to go back to memory lane a bit.
And 2 gifs I specifically remember that were ok no way in hell this is platonic:

i honestly feel so sad & lost sometimes thinking about my future. how people in india still treat the queer community as freaks or degenerates. and worse yet because even when searching up about indian queer content, there will be something homophobic in the search results.
it's i- ok, so last night i started watching the fame game and wanted to see if there's any videos about the show on youtube and boom! i get hit in the face by a channel called 'pratik borade' and he has 66.4k subs and his whole content is violently homophobic. he even made several homophobic videos badhaai do & queer bollywood movies. and the way he uses slurs & insults it literally made my heart sink with each word. also he spreads a LOT of misinfo about the queer community.
and i've been in this vortex of pain & hurt from last night and the little comfort i have comes from media that are not made in india. so i have to go crawling back to foreign tv shows/books to receive some comfort, to just not feel like this country doesn't want me & i don't have a future here but no means to leave.
why is it so hard? why is it always gotta be so hard? wtf makes these people see queer people as not human? why do i have to think about queerness & india & bollywood & be sad & hurt & angry again & again & again? queer people & queer kids don't deserve that.
(also if you couldn't tell i reported the channel for hate speech and like there's multiple videos spreading hate speech against the queer community and so i thought it was valid to report the channel. FUCK THAT GUY & HIS CHANNEL.)
Anon I'm sorry you had to experience that and I'm glad we could provide a space for you to vent out. I think I'll probably go and report the channel too, after checking out the content.
It is a never ending battle. It is going to be difficult. But when I'm feeling low about things like these, i go and read comments under trailers and music videos of recent queer movies we have had. They are filled with sooo much positivity! Even in just 4 years since gay sex was decriminalised, we have had such great queer content. It shows we were always here and we were dying to tell our stories.
I myself had no idea about the broader view regarding homosexuality and while i anticipated the older generation to be narrow minded, the younger generation en masse is just so supportive... When the stories and movies were coming out, i dreaded going in comment sections but they were so overwhelmingly positive!
We are a huge country. So yes, the homophobes do look like a formidable mass. But so are the queers and allies.
I feel positive about our future. A lot. I hope you stay around among us queer desi people here and take a share of that positivity too. All of us here are with you.

Sorry this will be my last personal post for a while I promise but jesus I’m so so afraid. I’m living in Hungary and I’m very much queer as you probably know if you looked at my about page. Thankfully the elections are tomorrow, but I’m dreading that the current government will stay.
The corruption runs sooo deep it’s scary, and the hate propaganda towards everyone is working much better than it should. Don’t get me wrong there are a lot of intelligent and good people in this country who want change. But the majority of the people are so ill informed and/or in a situation where their votes can be bought with a sac of potatoes (this actually happened).
I mean the country won’t be fixed even if the government changes that needs a lot of time but at least we won’t be kicked out from the eu. Which would be really sweet because I’m moving away this summer/autumn to go to uni and life would be so so so much harder that way.
I get the frustration of the rest of the Eu that they are funding the government to make disgusting propaganda, but you all are forgetting the real victims in the situation. The hungarian queer people. Yes, I’ve just been called a pedophile for being attracted to my own gender and trust me it’s terrible.
And it’s even worse for the queer minors that can’t even get help from their teachers (it’s rare that it would happen in this country but thankfully I had the privilege of going to a really liberal high school where we had the option. I mean our class was class g and it very much stood for gay. But this was a pretty prestigious bilingual school in the capital. A lot diplomat kids go there so trust me it’s not the vibe for most schools.)
Now it’s not the only thing I have to worry about (In theory I can’t even tell my cousin that I’m gay which is fucking ridiculous). I have to stress whether or not I can even escape this hell hole where I have to scream at my own family for using slurs. Or where I have to tell people my age that the hungarian version of faggot is a slur and maybe they shouldn’t use it as a synonym for coward. And where the only ads I get are about homophobic youtube channels advertising their disgusting opinions about the “gay propaganda”.
Sorry again for the ranting but I needed to get this off my chest. Please if you got this far and in a few weeks you see a post about election fraud in Hungary spread the word. It happened the last time too.

I didn’t know you were separating them as two different types as I see them as one group with one end of it being worse than the other. So it read it as if the worse ones were the only misidentified that exist and thus homophobic reason is only reason for misidentification. im surprised this brainrot hasn’t gotten to your country. I have friends in like iran region and bi women are starting to get like that too there. Might also be age difference even tho the women in the west are of any age. And I feel like you think I’m putting them as victim or something by saying they might have internal biphobia but no post modernism theory has been eating their collective braincells for 50 years now they’re not poor misinformed it’s like willful harmful ignorance. And they have a whole lesbophobic culture for it. It’s like reinventing the wheel
For Ghana/Nigeria (did secondary school there) it’s still pretty normal (illegal but thriving pockets of community) but activists are starting to get into those type of politics and i hope comphet never gets here😭.it depends on where you are but honestly it’s the same thing. men talk the same way. I’d wager even worse bc they’re just sooo disgusting. The dynamics between ssa women are different too since it’s not even cool to be ssa at all but we do still have the some of the same lesbian bisexual argument idk what to call it. Animosity? I’m not sure if that’s what you were asking sorry
hmmm i wouldn’t say it hasn’t reached my country at all but it’s rly not much of a thing. it’s still p backwards in the sense that many lesbians even genuinely believe they have some kind of hormonal imbalance that makes them homosexual. and many believe it’s a mental illness still. it’s not rly like trendy or anything and the community is quite underground tbh. generally ppl acknowledge bisexuality within the lgb community in bahrain but very often whats discussed is how bi ppl will be with gay ppl as teens and low-key before marriage (many doing this bc they believe homosexual sex doesn’t count) & then end it to pursue a typical acceptable hetero lifestyle and many gay ppl complain about that in particular. maybe some claim to be lesbians or gay men only to be w the opposite sex but ive never come across any that will choose to be with men and express attraction to the opposite sex while claiming to be gay. not when u can get forced into conversion therapy, jailed, disowned, etc for it. i feel like bisexuality and even pansexuality is more trendy anyways ? tho i have come across genderists and no-label ppl who will use the term gay as an “umbrella term” but like when u go into it, they know there’s a difference ? also most who are like that are very terminally online and highly westernised + often quite rich and privileged. and they’re such a tiny portion of ppl too. but i do also think like u said it’s very age-dependent bc no older gays (not much older, just my age & older) ive met buy into any of it and there’s clear differentiation between gay & bi ppl there.
and wow that sounds confusing to me 😅😅 what type of politics do u mean? like arguing lesbians can like men and the like?
im p glad it’s not much of a thing in my country, ive seen hints of it in countries like lebanon but even then from my experience ppl will still make it clear they know gay pp are exclusively SSA even if they sometimes argue the nonsense that they’re gay even when OSA. and again the ppl who do this are the younger super westernised privileged group of bi & gay ppl too. it’s just.. nowhere near as prominent for sure. it sucks tho bc i feel it’s slowly becoming more of a thing bc ive found a handful of gendies in bahrain 🥲 and that’ll only lead to the same shit in the end cause they’re all quite connected q theory type of beliefs

im kinda mad at kishi for like,,,, making such a big plot on narusasu but in the end,, having them end up with other ppl? its so unsettling like it how someone can write 700+ chap about gay angst & longing/pining only for them to not end up with eo
I mean I never expected them to end up with each other officially because it’s both Japan and on top of that SJ, a conservative country and a conservative industry. While American homophobia is often based on religious beliefs, or just “different = wrong”, Japanese homophobia frequently stems from sociocultural pressure to get married and have kids. It’s seen as a way to honor your parents and your ancestors. Choosing a “gay life style” can be seen as selfish and disrespectful to your parents and going against the whole society. While this is not the case for everyone many gay people in Japan get married to the opposite sex and have kids to conform to society’s expectations.
With this in mind, a lot of media is of course influenced by the general mindset and politics, SJ as well. SJ also targets boys. Japanese male fans of shonen don’t like gay any more than the ones in the USA. Hell, a lot of fujoshi don’t want the characters to be actually gay, they only like it in fantasy.
Editors are working together with the mangaka, and they also care a lot about mass appeal, what sells. Did you know Kishimoto talked about a “new perv jutsu” 5 years before reverse harem jutsu appeared in the manga?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So yeah this is the one that was so “controversial” that it took 5 years to get it in... Of course Jiraiya and other cliche perverts in shonen are totally okay even when peeping on women and being creeps, but creating an illusion of a harem of naked men is just too much. Also just like in the West, there are also parents who don’t want material that they see as inappropriative for their kids to read.
A few years ago there was talk about Isayama commenting on one of his friend’s manga that had one gay subplot (as in, it wasn’t a gay manga, but had a gay romance plot line) and Isayama mentioned on his personal blog that he thinks he might like BL. To this his friend responded; “Thank you so much! It seems like I was unintentionally able to invite Isayama-san to the world of BL so I got some strange courage!” Sooo mysteriously said manga got axed right after the BL subplot hmmm I wonder what was the reason 😶  People also said Isayama was being “gross”. Same way when Isayama made a comment about questioning whether Levi likes women at all, it pissed people off, or when Reiner and Ymir made their comments about not liking the opposite sex.
So it also reflects negatively on the authors. People question why do you want to show such degenerate things especially in a neutral or positive light. Like I mentioned earlier I saw even naruto threads discussing about it, saw people calling Naruto a psycho bisexual or that his obsession with Sasuke makes them uncomfortable, or asking why does he have to be so homosexual. At the same time, I saw one comment saying if this was another world maybe Naruto could be the hero, the president and also have his husband as the adjudant. So there are open-minded people too, even if the most loud ones are the homophobic ones, or people who try to avoid the discussion alltogether.
So as you can see there are many reasons. Kishimoto’s own fixation with N.S. is amusing though, aside from his favorite panel being the usuratonkachi one from 698, he wrote the disaster that is Gaiden where Sasuke looks absolutely miserable when asked to draw something for SS, but wrote Boruto movie where Sasuke looks actually happy with Naruto and Boruto and also helps fixing the relationship between the two. Naruto even wonders which one does Boruto resemble more lol. But SJ wants to milk the series with the next gen sooo this is what we got.
