This box of takeaway Economy Rice (菜饭) comes with savoury sweet and crispy ikan bilis (dried anchovies) & peanuts fried with curry leaves. In the centre, curry chicken & potato with gravy on the white rice. The vegetable dish is stir-fried kang kong (空心菜/蕹菜) or water spinach with shredded carrots.

久しぶりにベトナム料理屋さんでランチ〜。
生春巻きが通常よりはるかに大きくて一本はお持ち帰りに。安定の牛肉キューブと大好きなニンニクたっぷりのwater spinachで大満足のランチになりました!
Had very satisfying lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant!
Their shrimp summer rolls are much bigger than other restaurants so I had to take one home. Shaking beef and garlicky water spinach had such great flavor!

Stir-fried Ensai (cooking)
Ensai
Ensai is a vegetable of the Convolvulaceae family and is closely related to sweet potato. Potatoes can't grow, so they eat stems and leaves. Product of South China. There are many other names, and it is also called Entsuai, Yotsuai, Morning Glory Vegetable, Water Spinach, etc. It is delicious to heat and eat, especially stir-fried, but the drawback is that it quickly turns black after heating. It must be delicious.

Adobong Kangkong(Water Spinach)
Let’s take a brief look at water spinach (kangkong)
Ipomoea Aquatica, more commonly referred to as water spinach, is a tropical plant that lives in semi-aquatic environments and is grown as a vegetable for the sensitive shoots it produces. There is a consensus among experts that Southeast Asia was the region where I. Aquatica was initially domesticated. In Southeast Asia, East Asia, and South…

"Late-ish" Dinner
The Cat was a little late, she was sending out her billing. The Mouse started walking, a little tired. Dinner at neighborhood Saito & Pho.
Oxtail Soup Noodles
The Cat’s usual order.
Water Spinach with Tofu
The Mouse trying to eat “healthier”, don’t worry, not going “all-in”, just a little tweak. Hee hee.
Be safe, eat good.

KANGKUNGAN!
Whenever possible, Pinoys will always choose to be healthy. An example of which is Juan’s preference for vegetables. Some have this bulanglang while Ilocanos have a variety of vegetable dishes such as the famous pinakbet, inabraw, and dinendeng to name a few.
But oftentimes, we put these veggies in our heads instead of putting them in our stomachs and letting it stay there where it truly…

Went across the street to the 24hrs coffee shop to order Singapore Fried Noodles (星洲米粉) and Hor Fun (河粉) from the tze char (煮炒) stall. The first is fried bee hoon or rice vermicelli while the latter is broad flat rice noodle.
I took the easy way to dinner and opted for Economy Rice (菜饭) with this big piece of savoury pork chop, crispy ikan bilis & crunchy peanuts and kang kong (water spinach) stir-fry over steamed rice.
