#very easy to abuse and trans his gender
Text
To all my moots:
Yall should totally get into nanbaka.
It's super silly and funny, full of classic anime gags and other fun stuff.
But it also has its serious moments if that's what you're into
Meet celibate number 25: Nico
Tumblr media
He's an anime loving nerd who keeps escaping prison cuz he doesn't like his medication. Why does he need meds? Oh that's because he canonically has every disease ever and also is a drug addict. Also he's 16 and in a cell with another 16 year old, an 18 year old, and a 19 year old. The eldest 2 being obsessed with sex and girls.
You can see where I'm going with this, right??
Like he's the most perfectest blorbo ever and he's so happy and cute and he looks so good being abused, he already has a ton of bandages, so what's a few more?
(This totally isn't me baiting for more content cuz this fandom is so bare bones I feel like I'm the only one in it)

Some of you really need to step back a little bit and acknowledge how ignorant you are towards how misogyny affects trans mascs and how you yourself may be perpetrating said misogyny when speaking ill of trans mascs.
Which is not something you should be doing at all, fyi. You can talk about individual shitty trans mascs and certain community issues you dislike which involve or are perpetrated by trans mascs without just being transphobic towards trans mascs in general.
So many times I've seen the sentient of 'AFAB's have it really easy, everyone accepts AFAB's as trans, everyone loves AFAB trans people, the world caters to you, there is basically no problems for you if you're AFAB unlike AMAB folk' shown in a variety of ways from a variety of people including just outright saying it. Not to mention the belitting of trans masc experiences with transphobia and misogyny + the way those interact because they identify as men even though transphobes still consider them to be women and don't give a shit about their actual gender.
A main crux of transphobia (though many other factors which result in hating us come into play, too many to go into now) is that trans people are seen as and treated as their AGAB and punished for not identifying as it or portraying it 'correctly' by society. So tell me why so many seem to 'forget' about how misogyny impacts trans masculine people. Could it be because you believe that advocating for trans women and trans femmes and fighting transmisogyny somehow must involve being transphobic towards trans men due to that radfem influence you've absorbed? The world will never reach gender equality of any kind if everything is 'men versus women' so can we just fucking not bring that into trans spaces please.
Examples!
I saw recently a post which perfectly pointed out the potential risks associated with someone considered 'male' growing out her hair but OP clearly knew absolutely nothing about the same risks associated with someone deemed 'female' cutting his hair. Instead of not making that post or doing some research, OP thus assumed there weren't really any risks likely due to already believing that AFAB trans people have it easy.
The ignorance! Misogyny heavily impacts the way hair is treated on those perceived as women (including body hair) and women/those perceived as women have no end of people policing what they can and can't do with their bodies often taking things to the absolute extreme to do so. Short hair on woman may seem 'more accepted' but AFAB people of any gender could quickly tell you multiple situations where it's not and results in the same violence, abuse, homo(lesbo/butch)phobia and yes possibly even death depending on the situation even if you still identify as a woman. Pretending this doesn't happen is straight up misogyny btw.
'AFAB's pass easily by doing basically nothing' is another frequent one which makes me laugh. 'Passing' for most trans people is so situational and so dependent on what you do or don't do to strictly conform to gender stereotypes if you're even able to do that at all. To suggest that the world ignores feminine gender markers the moment someone's hair is short and their chest appears mostly flat ignores both the complexity of how humans perceive gender and how misogyny comes into play whenever a woman/perceived woman shows any masculinity let alone maleness. Considering the same misogyny comes into play frequently against trans women you'd think it'd be easy to remember.
This general sentiment of 'Being born with a vagina means your life is easy and everything you do will be loved and supported because society adores you. You don't and will never have any real problems, not like anyone born with a penis.' isn't magically okay and absolutely super different to when misogynists say it about cis women because you're using AGAB language and cite 'because you're men and blah blah patriarchy' as the actual reason you're saying it. It's very clearly same shit different coat of paint. The pool is there, your toes are in, stop preparing to dive for Gods sake.

Ok so after rewatching that one powerpak video about myhouse.wad last night I've woken up with a lot of feelings and I'm going to share
This time around I read a trans metaphor in the mod, there's a very distinct degendering of Tom over the course of the mod, notably when you pick up the milkshake the text says "the kid needs a milkshake"
That on its own isn't that strong but what really strikes me is how little gendering there is elsewhere, Tom and Steve were both born in 1988 based on ages at death, they would've come of age in the 90s so not a time period where there's really a movement to give gender neutral upbringings to kids and yet we never really see anything indicating that Tom is a boy. No sporting equipment, no bright blue toys, nothing. In a mod with so much care and detail put into every little corner it feels like a glaring omission.
In fact in the burned house the items you can find are a diary with the pickup text, tarnished history and a teddy bear with the text, innocence lost. There is also the presence of the one item that's a stuffed animal that's got the text, snugs.
The animals aren't automatic indicators of being raised as a girl (although they can be read that way, they are gender neutral for little kids) but the diary is interesting. Again all of these are very minor things but when details of Steve's father's death are hidden away in his obituary and the hospital room, both of which you can easily miss, then it feels like meaning can be read into these items.
The two details that really made me think about this are the usage of Tom's last name in the hearts with him and Steve and the bloody airport bathroom. The fact that the initials used aren't S+T is odd but it sorta makes sense if Tom isn't his birth name. Whatever was his birth name is something he would've disliked if it was feminine and he felt dysphoria and so he would've used his last name instead, something that I know happens among some trans people.
Finally, in the airport bathroom we see that it specifically or bathrooms in general are a traumatic space. The pill bottles have an obvious connection, substance abuse is an easy line to draw with the environment of the bathroom. But what stands out most is the fact that the male and female signs on the bathrooms switch when you exit the bloodied bathroom. That's something so jarring that it feels like it has to have meaning, it's so easy to miss but feels so significant. It could just be intended to shock and offput but it's not scary, it's just a change. It's a literal gender change.
Some of the memories also seemingly take place in or around 2001, the fear of the plane crashing, JJ Hardy playing in 2001 and signing the baseball, the presence of Shrek. Tom and Steve would have been around 12-14 in this time period and that's when puberty starts for many people. The bathroom literally becomes a scene of bloody horror which makes sense if Tom experienced a period and it was traumatic for him.
Any of these on their own aren't conclusive but all together it feels like it weaves a larger message. Memories of childhood are degendered to avoid the pain of remembering of a dysphoria inducing childhood. Tom actively uses his last name instead of his first name. And the literal gender change of the bathroom signs. To me it reads that the character of Tom is a trans man and that plays further into the trauma of his childhood and I think whether done intentionally or not it makes sense to some extent.

The Trouble with Robson…
Tumblr media
So… I’ve seen some discourse on this site about James Robson… and I want in lol.
I’ve got a lot of thoughts about this man, and based on everything I’ve read from other Oz fans, I might have an unpopular opinion.
Please don’t get me wrong! Season 2-Season 5 he was a tremendous piece of shit. Like in every way possible it is to be a piece of shit. But that said I have two points: 1) that’s what makes him an good CHARACTER, not a good person, and 2) a redemption arc doesn’t mean that person is automatically forgiven, but are going down a better path and MIGHT be forgiven for their actions at a later date. It is with this, your honor, that I submit that Robson’s redemption arc was actually one of the better plot lines in Oz. (Please don’t hate me lol)
Okay, so Robson season two, pretty easy to characterize. He’s a Nazi. He’s violent. He’s a rapist. Very easy to hate. Season three, he’s lieutenant to Vern Schillinger in the Aryan Brotherhood. He boxes and such. In season four, he’s a menace, coming into his own character. He threatens on his own and has his own plot lines now. Season five is more of the same, at first, he rapes Peter Schibetta, he tries to ruin Beecher’s life, etc. He commits one of the more heinous of his crimes in my book when he kills the young Muslim man in the store room. A long, drawn out process that James is smiling through. He LOVES violence. More than anything he seems like he was made for prison. Then he learns about his gums, makes racist remarks to the doctor, one thing leads to another, he has black man gums and gets kicked out of the brotherhood.
He’s destitute and alone, which is all he deserves. But even Kareem Said finds pity for him and says “God is trying to teach you something. Please be smart enough to learn.”. What can even God attempt to teach someone like James Robson? He does what he needs to survive. He joins Cutler and agrees to be his prag. Here’s where some views from other Oz fans and I start to diverge. You look at videos on YouTube, many of the comments you’ll find say “good, he deserved it.”. The best argument I heard for this was actually from Funky Frog Bait on YouTube talking about misgendering murderers. Many people misgendered the nonbinary Nashville shooter. Why would you respect the pronouns for a person that horrible? Because, as Funky Frog Bait said in their video, it revolves around your opinion of gender as a whole. If you can just revoke someone’s preferred pronouns when they’re bad people, how “bad” does a trans person have to be to not have their pronouns respected? People of differing “politics” (morals) say different things, but if we apply this argument to Robson’s situation, I think it has to do with one’s overall view of rape. How “bad” does someone have to be before being raped is considered a reasonable punishment? For me, it’s never. For me, just as in never revoking someone’s right to their preferred pronouns, I also think it’s never justifiable to rape someone. So, no, I don’t think Robson deserved to be raped, even though he was a serial rapist himself, because there’s no situation where I think rape is a justifiable response. People may disagree with me, but I think it’s a slippery slope when you can deem someone as deserving of rape.
We learn during this time, as he’s being beaten and abused sexually by Cutler, that James was beaten and abused by his father as a kid. He confirms that this occurred while he was only five years old. His first introduction to life and sex was violence. Maybe this gives you sympathy for him, as it did me, but maybe you say fuck him, it doesn’t excuse anything. But I don’t think that it was meant to be an excuse, I think it was meant to be an EXPLANATION. I think we were learning how he became James Robson of unit B, not justifying his actions as James Robson of unit B. He was a child and the person he was supposed to trust most in this world gave him very harsh lessons very early on: no one cares about you, and do what you need to do to survive. He becomes demure and pitiful in Sister Pete’s office. One line that stuck with me was “here I am, 35 years old and I have nowhere to run.”. He’s been running his whole life. Running away from an abusive father and running away from his own actions. “I shame to think of what I’ve done. Look on it again, I dare not.” Is Cutler’s line as MacBeth in the play. It is an apt line for James. He’s been running from his own actions for as long as he could remember. Like I said, none of this justifies the lives he’s ruined and taken, but it does explain the inter-workings of a character that was pretty static for four seasons. That he survives. He tells Sister Peter Marie that all he does is run from things. I truly believe that some of the reason he was able to be as ruthless as he was is because he doesn’t let himself think about his own actions.
Finally season 6! He kills Cutler with some kinky play, joins the brotherhood, and it seems like he’s back, right? Only when he sees his wife, we see some of the shame come back. Some of the embarrassment of being taken in that way. If he feels this way now, he felt this way for however long his dad was abusing him. He loses it with her for calling him a “cock sucker”, which CLEARLY he’s embarrassed/ashamed about. He hurts her, and immediately, instantly, feels bad about it. I love learning the morality of immoral characters. With everything he’s done, why was hurting his wife crossing a line? Because she trusts him, just like little James trusted his dad. I think, personally, that he sees himself as her personal protector. Since he couldn’t protect himself, he became the protector for her, and then for Vern, but James isn’t stupid enough to think Vern can’t take care of himself. I think hurting his wife tore him up so much because he remembers when he relied on his dad for everything, and his father took advantage of his state.
Then he finds out he has AIDS. He joins a support group for rape survivors. They talk about their experiences and James listens to all of them. He thanks them towards the end, saying it was good to “hear it from both sides” which we know is something he knew already since he was at least five. But hearing those stories, all of which are upsetting but some are straight gruesome, puts FORCES him to face his actions. He can’t run anymore, his lifestyle caught up with him. Am I saying he deserves AIDS? 🤷‍♀️ Chissà. Who’s to say? He has it though. There’s a deleted scene where he lets Clarence rape him (I understand “lets” and “rape” don’t make much sense together but I don’t think coerced consent is consent at all so it’s still assault), and it gives Clarence AIDS. Robson says something interesting, with his classic smile on his face. “Retribution. It’s all about retribution.”. That’s what Oz is about. Retribution. It should be about Rehabilitation, but it’s all about Retribution. This is where James’ story ends on the show. With him moving to unit F, the AIDS unit. Finally, even if only physically, is he forced to face his actions.
This is why I think his story was beautifully written. He’s just a meathead in the beginning, but we learn about his morality -because he does have a code, even if it’s not a good one-, his past, and his future. They took a character that was frankly very flat and gave us a wide enough view on his life and character to confuse our anger into sympathy into more anger and into sadness. I don’t know if anyone else felt this way but my heart just dropped when he mentioned his dad. James Robson never stood a chance. He was a monster in training since he was five. But no one deserves to be raped. (A good reference is Adam Gunzel who was a BIG prick… but never deserved that shit.) Anyway these are just some of my thoughts on one of the most interesting characters in Oz (to me at least) and gave us an actual character out of a plotless muscle man.
One thing I think we can all agree on:
Retribution. It’s all about retribution.

Alrighty screw it, here’s some neurodivergent & lgbtq+ headcanons of musical characters, as someone who’s both of those things
Disclaimer 1: Bigotry and dumbassery will not be tolerated.
Disclaimer 2: These are just my opinions, headcanons I made for fun. You don’t have to agree with them, and you’re free to have your own interpretations. Just be respectful.
• Enjolras is ace and on the aro spectrum. He’s never felt sexual attraction towards anyone, and he’s only ever been romantically attracted to Grantaire. (And France./j)
• Grantaire is gay, and very in love with Enjolras. I don’t think I need to explain any more than this, lol.
• Cosette is bi. She discovered this after realizing she had a small crush on Eponine as well as Marius.
• Marius is also bi.
• Eponine is ace demiromantic, and also nonbinary. (Specifically using she/they pronouns.) She could never understand how the people around them could fall in love so fast, and with people they hardly knew. She didn’t fall for Marius until they formed a close connection with him. Regarding gender, they’ve never felt like she wasn’t a girl, but they didn’t feel fully like one. She felt sort of like a girl, but also like something else. It took them a while to figure out what exactly it was because she never felt like a boy, they just only partially felt like a girl.
• Orpheus is autistic. His special interest is music, and he loves talking about it to anyone who will listen. (Usually it’s Eurydice or Hermes.) He fidgets and stims a lot, and is also very awkward and doesn’t quite understand social cues. He tries his best, but always finds himself accidentally making things weird. Sometimes he worries that Eurydice will stop loving him because of his autistic traits, but she assures him that she loves him for who he is. Also, he’s somewhere on the ace spectrum, though he doesn’t use any specific labels.
• Persephone is also autistic, though she is much better at masking it than Orpheus. She also has ADHD.
• I’m chill with many different interpretations of Sweeney, but I think it’s quite interesting to hc him as trans or nonbinary. (I mean, what cis person names themself Sweeney?/j) He was in the closet when he first started dating Lucy. He was terrified of coming out to her, but eventually did, and she was quite accepting. She was relieved that maybe this meant they didn’t have to keep their relationship secret, and this was also how she realized she was bi. He also came out to Mrs. Lovett at some point before being sent away, and she was also very accepting, and has proven more than once that she’s really good at using people’s chosen names, as it was really easy for her to start calling him Mr. Todd when he returned from Australia. (Also, Mr. T could be a very punny nickname in this case.)
• Sweeney is also autistic. He’s gotten decent at masking in public, but whenever he’s at home, he makes no effort to hide his autistic traits. He stims quite frequently, usually by aggressively shaking his hands, punching his arm, fidgeting, or pacing. (Is pacing considered a stim? I feel like I do that a lot as a stim, but idk.) He also has an incredibly strong sense of justice. This is most notable when it comes to himself and how he’s been wronged, but he also feels that way on a societal level too. He rants a lot about people who get mistreated and people who abuse their power. (Mrs. Lovett can attest to this, as she’s usually the one he rants to.) Prior to being sent away, he felt like Lucy was the only person he could truly be himself around. Post-incarceration, Mrs. Lovett ends up being the one to fill that role. At first he’s quite nervous, but he ends up opening up more, and realizes that she’s a safe person to be himself around. In fact, she’s the easiest person for him to be himself around, because she’s also neurodivergent.
• Speaking of which, I headcanon Mrs. Lovett as being autistic and having ADHD. She’s always got several different trains of thought, is all over the place, and though she’s chatty, she’s a bit awkward, and feels that Sweeney is the only one who truly understands her. She’s also had many special interests and hyperfixations throughout her life, and is known to infodump a lot. She stims by flapping her arms and doing little dances. She also has some vocal stims, like humming or singing random notes to herself.
• Mrs. Lovett is ace. For a long time, she never told anyone because she was terrified of being judged for it. She was also scared that no one would ever love her because of it, and though there was no way Benjamin could’ve known, she sometimes felt like maybe her asexuality was part of why he chose Lucy over her. In attempts to impress him years down the line, she’d sometimes act in ways that felt strange and uncomfortable to her. In order to make herself feel better about it, she’d tell herself that it was like a comedy act, and that it was more about being funny. (She’s also the type to be really good at making sex jokes because sex is a joke to her, although she doesn’t joke like that often. Her preferred sense of humor is puns.) After a while, feeling like she can no longer hide it, she finally comes out to Sweeney, and nearly breaks down crying while doing so, fearing that she’d ruined her chance at him ever loving her. To her surprise, he accepts her, and he comforts her until she calms down, letting her know that she never has to make herself uncomfortable for his sake.
• Toby is the kind of person whom people can’t tell if he’s gay or aroace. He can’t tell which one it is either.
• Tbh, every version of Wednesday Addams feels autistic coded to me, so I’m including musical Wednesday as well.
• Morticia Addams has bi wife energy. Gomez is her number one ally.
• Lydia Deetz is hella sapphic. The Maitlands are the first people she comes out to, and they’re extremely accepting. After a while of being nervous, she finally comes out to her father and Delia, and they also accept her. Delia isn’t super educated on everything, though she’s well-meaning, and she even buys a sapphic flag colored crystal for Lydia. Beetlejuice takes her to her first pride event. It’s chaotic for everybody there due to Beej’s presence, but it’s definitely a fun time for Lydia.
• I also headcanon Lydia as autistic. Her special interests are ghosts, horror, and photography, and she loves infodumping about them.
• Beetlejuice is pansexual. I suppose that one’s not really a headcanon and is actually a thing in the musical, but I still wanted to list it.
• Martha from The Secret Garden is ace and autistic. I mostly say this because I’ve played her once, lol. Idk, I just like the idea.
• Veronica Sawyer is the biggest disaster bi.
• Jo March is ace and on the aro spectrum. She doesn’t really care all that much about sex or romance, though she has occasionally felt romantic attraction. She doesn’t really care about gender when it comes to the people she likes, but she does also identify as sapphic because she really likes girls. (I mostly like the idea of her being sapphic because people suspect that Louisa May Alcott was, and she based Jo off of herself.)
• Christine Daaé doesn’t really use any labels, but she did once find herself crushing on both Raoul and Meg.
• Meg Giry is sapphic, which she realized after having a crush on Christine.
• Because of that one line in Driving Through the Moonlight, I have decided that Prince Topher is ace now.

Yandere Valentino X Trans Masc Reader who is hiding that he's trans
Tumblr media
This is my first time getting a yandere request and I hope I did it well
Yandere's are not ideal partners and I do not ever approve of this kind of behavior
Yandere Valentino x ftm closeted reader
Tw: toxic relationships, gender dysphoria, possessiveness, stalking, manipulation, unsafe situations, implied violence and abuse
Valentino as a yandere would be awful
And if you're trans and hiding it from him it would suck even more
Valentino would go out of his way to make deal with you
He would have you as his no matter what
He would stalk you somehow to learn everything about you so he could use that information to get you to make a deal with him
Or he'd straight up put a price on your head then offer you protection in exchange for your soul
And once he has you he won't exactly treat you the greatest
Although he could spoil you rotten he also has a temper
He would be very possessive and controlling
Picking your outfits which will be dresses or very feminine lingerie
Telling you where to go and what to do
Which will be easy if he owns your soul
If your feeling dysphoric about the clothes he puts you in he wouldn't figure it out
He'd just assume they weren't to your taste but only he knows what you look best in
He'd objectify you and show you off
But if anyone even looks at you for too long he becomes very jealous
He'll tear apart anybody who dares to give his darling pet the googly eyes
And he'll probably blame you right after
Expect a lot of pet names mostly feminine and/or demeaning
Little pet, princessa, his trophy, baby (when he's trying to get on your good side), gorgeous, plaything
If he ever caught you binding his reaction would be one of shock and then possibly anger
He's only ever seen you one way and it might upset him
And him being so unstable and unpredictable its hard to tell just how he'd take it so it might be dangerous
So it makes sense why you are keeping it a secret
But, it makes having him as a yandere even harder

Today is trying my fuckin' patience with regards to queer patients and their concerns and how some of the staff is responding. Why are you so concerned and baffled that the trans man looks like a man? Who gives a shit if he doesn't change his name? He's still a dude. Why are you talking shit about a patient being twitchy- you didn't order labs, you don't know if that tic-y-ness is ghb or tardive dyskenisia or something else, and even if it is, why is that patient worth talking about over all the other, very frequent flyer, patients who self-medicate with their drug of choice? Because they look like they could be dressed in a gnc way? Why are you talking about how fascinating it would be to see a trans man pregnant? And not in a medical advancement/process/mechanical kind of way, but like a carnival sideshow kind of way. Like what the fuck.
And how do you work in an emergency department and you don't know what PEP or PrEP is? Especially an emergency department around here. How is it mindbogglingly difficult to think of how someone might get a particular minor injury during sex? I was like 'who cares what folks do on their own' and y'all were still harping on about it. I rattled off four different ways* and y'all went 'oh i mean huh but that's like...why would someone do that' and i just went *shrug* 'why do we even care' and five minutes later people were back talking about it. Bro. Who. Gives. A. Fuck. It has nothing to do with patient care. You cannot tell me you don't know or know of a single straight cis person who's ever fucked someone once and not cared about name or contact info. You are in a bigass fuckoff fishbowl in an open patient space why are you still on this.
People are just people. Be curious be what the fuck be mindboggled be whatever, that's natural, but be that in your head! That is a question for google later! (and some of y'all really need to turn safesearch on for that shit because you are not ready for those results).
And i know i have a significantly skewed meter for 'weird' when it comes to sex and gender and shit because i've volunteered for folsom street fair and dore alley as medical staff but i also know that my coworkers have the capacity for really good poker face because i have seen it. Why is it easy to be pleasant and unflappable in the face of weird body function or dysfunction or fuck, even maggots or being fused to car upholstery but god forbid someone wear a tshirt dress and binder. And yeah, i know we decompress and debrief all the time after Seeing Some Shit or thousand-yard-stare-ing after stupidly graphic examples of elder abuse and there is nothing wrong with that- when it happens in private, with people who understand and understand why it's important. Not in a fishbowl where you have no idea who can hear you. I know at least one of the patients heard, because they specifically told me one of the times i walked past "i'm glad i came when you were working."
My heart is heavy and i'm tired.

Hey pooklet!!! How did you discover you're non-binary? Did your friends go well with it?
Tumblr media
Hey anon!
Short answer: "Girl" never felt right to me, heard about nonbinary as a concept in my 20s on a random livejournal, exactly one of my close friends was cool about it and she's now my wife, lol.
Much, much longer answer under the cut.
I know it's a trope to say "I always felt wrong in my assigned gender" but in my case it's true. For me it was very confusing because I do like a lot of the femme stuff that kind of gets pushed at you when you're AFAB. Pink and dolls and dresses and long hair, stuff like that. But the idea that those things made me a "girl" just never sat right. I remember being like 13 and asking my first boyfriend "would you still like me if I wasn't a girl" and he was like "ew no" and it made me feel so deeply sad for reasons I couldn't quite explain. There were a lot of little instances like that, but that one really sticks out in my mind.
I first ran across the concept of being nonbinary on a livejournal community that I don't think had anything to do with gender? I don't remember where, it was some fandom or hobby thing. Like, I don't think it was this exactly, but it was something as silly as someone posting pictures of their BJD and being like "I decided this doll is nonbinary!" Something like that. And I was like wtf and immediately went down the rabbit hole. Which was much shorter like 12-13 years ago than it is today, but what I found made me go "oh shit, this is the thing, huh?"
Around that time, I was also starting to make more of an effort to get involved with Native American communities and studying the history of my specific nation (Oneida). I was raised by the white half of my family so it wasn't something I really got to experience growing up. And in doing so I learned about being Two-Spirit, and even though that's not how I identify per se (there's a lot of debate around exactly how you define being Two-Spirit and who has access to the label, etc.) it felt sort of like, idk, permission? Like, "this is part of my cultural heritage, it predates the gender binary, I'm allowed to not be a girl."
But it wasn't an all-at-once coming out sort of thing. I kinda floated it at the people closest to me, like "how would you feel if I wasn't a girl lol wouldn't that be crazy lol."
One of my two best friends at the time was very resistant to me not being a girl, us not being best girl friends, who had the sort of romantic-Victorian platonic-but-intense girl friendship. So we ended up having no friendship at all.
The person that I was dating at the time was outright hostile to the idea. Abusively hostile. And the thing about it was he (pronouns at the time, don't know if he's changed them, not going to look him up to find out) had also just come out as trans. He/him agender. And when I repeated that same question that I asked my 13-year-old boyfriend "would you still love me if I wasn't a girl?" His response was something to the tune of "I guess it's fine as long as you still have a girl's body." Which was a wild thing to hear from someone who was also AFAB. Weren't too long after that we broke up.
My other best friend @skulldilocks, maybe you've heard of her, she was my oasis. She never judged, she was curious and interested and so kind about it. The second I told her "I don't think I'm a girl" she was like "yeah, okay, you would know best" and that was it. She was one of maybe three people in my life (the other two being my cousins) that didn't tell me I was wrong or pushed back at all. She called me by my chosen name, used they/them pronouns, corrected herself when she got it wrong, and that was it. It was just, idk, easy. And it made me feel like maybe this wasn't some forbidden, shameful thing that I knew was true about myself, but I still couldn't tell anyone.
So I started to assert my gender and pronouns in online spaces. I was really clumsy about it at first, and my terrible experiences with the people that I had been closest to had me feeling very defensive, expecting a lot of pushback. Aaaand, I got it!
Some of it was definitely my own doing, like, getting upset with people who misgendered me out of confusion rather than active hostility, but there was a big faction that went right to work on the trolling. Most of it was contained on simsecret at first, with lots of secrets as well as huge threads of people saying that I was lying, calling me slurs, discussing my genitals, claiming to know me personally IRL and to have insider knowledge that I really was a girl and I was just doing all of this for attention.
And then it spilled over from simsecret to GoS, to my livejournal, to every part of the community that I engaged with. I went into lockdown mode. Deleted my livejournal, changed my email, turned off commenting or messaging where possible. I left the community completely for about a year and a half. I still played the game, still shared pics with @skulldilocks but I had no intention of returning.
But then stuff just kinda changed. It didn't have anything to do with me, it was just that more people were starting to identify outside the gender binary, so it stopped being so stigmatized in the community. Forums started cracking down on people being shitty about gender. And some very kind people sent messages to me through @skulldilocks saying that they hoped I came back some day. So I did. I still get the occasional hateful anon message but at this point there's literally nothing left that they can say to me that I haven't already heard a decade ago.
And there is definitely more kindness and love, now. Turns out if someone treats you like shit, you can just leave! Tell her to give you back your Sailor Moon manga and to never call you again! Kick him out of your house and take custody of the cats! Excise the assholes, curate your online space, don't get involved in bad faith "discussions" about parts of yourself that you know to be true. Who you are just ain't up for debate.
Also, if you find someone who is your oasis, who never presumes to know you better than you know yourself, who can answer the question “would you still love me if I wasn’t a girl” with an emphatic “fuck yes,” get your shit together, tell her you love her, and marry her. 10/10, highly recommend.

When you create a society that forces men to either internalize their emotions for the sake of others' convenience, or that they need to "act" and fix the problem rather feel their feelings and go to someone they can trust about them, that's how you get domestic abusers and bullies. That's how you get guys who rely on women to do all the emotional heavy lifting in the relationship or men whose only friends are their moms and their romantic partners. It's how you get men who shun couple's therapy and struggle to communicate with regular therapist and struggle to even be casually emotionally open with other men, it's how you get men who emotionally lash out at women at their lowest because they're taught that externalizing is the only way to go, and women are a very easy target in our society. It's also how you get higher rates of drug addiction, alcoholism, and gambling in men, and higher rates of domestic and sexual violence towards women and high rates of divorce between heterosexual couples.
If you ever catch me saying "heterosexuality is in crisis", it's because it very much is, and these are a few of the reasons why. It's not because women are prioritizing their careers over traditional ideas of romance and traveling the world and getting higher educations and earning more money and spending more one on one time with the girls or their families or experimenting with sexuality, or anything, because that stuff is great and women have been advocating for it all for decades and they deserve it. It's when you assign gender to emotions, hobbies, social skills or lackthereof, etc, with the majority of these things being "polar opposites", and top of molding entire generations of men who aspire to material things like wealth and status to land them in the good graces of women more than introspection and emotional awareness. This creates numerous environments where people struggle to communicate anything from what to have for dinner to their needs in the bedroom to their needs in a day to day relationship. It's how you create an environment where half the population doesn't know what they're doing and the other half loves them but has no fucking idea how to approach them about anything. it's how you get people in both parties defining their happiness in the context of outside individuals rather than self satisfaction and self confidence.
But as a trans man, I don't think this has to be the end all be all, I think there's a very easy way to make men feel empowered and at home in their masculinity (or lack thereof, if they wish to shed it altogether) and still treat women with respect. To yearn for women platonically romantically and sexually without being desperate or creepy or entitled. To teach kids right and wrong without traumatizing and killing them. I think about my own relationships with women and how they've given me purpose, not by virtue of providing for them or serving as a foot soldier but by simply giving them a perspective they may not have considered as a woman, or vice versa. Doing good work that feels dignified (like my janitor and fishmonger jobs), making sure the parents of ex girlfriends liked me and knew their daughter was in a safe place with me, advocating for friends and family who weren't in the position to advocate for themselves, respecting and understanding my girlfriend's perspective but not at the cost of my own self worth and autonomy, and allowing her the same benefits, and fuck even classically "masculine" hobbies like working out and video games, just being neutral and welcoming to the women and queer people that also showed interest in those same outlets, cus if a man is supposed to be the backbone of his community, I need to be the most accommodating I can be in that process.
I don't think it's all i loss, I think the solutions have been in front of us all along.

since we’re sort of on the topic: can you explain the whole hating band guys’ wives/gfs from fans and why it happens? i probably am thinking too much on this, but is it just because of teenagers’ fantasies wanting to be with their 30+ idol and that 00.1% of being with them dies with it if they have a partner and even kids? is it them trying to project their ships if they’re into rpf and them dating a girl kills their yaoi fantasies lol. not saying you have to 100% stan their partners or even like them like with what we see on the opposite end of the scales with fan accounts dedicated to wives which is uhhhh but some ladies who do nothing but exist get ruthlessly talked to shreds and their husbands put on pedestals
Yeah I think it's a lot of factors including the ones you listed. I've been a band girl stannie for over 10 years and I feel like I've seen things come full circle from vitriolic hatred to intense stanning to vitriolic hatred of all women. People do stuff like censor Lynz in photos of her and Gerard because she's "problematic," which is very 2009 Livejournal behavior and something Gerard is very strongly against.
Like twenty people are going to unfollow me and I'm going to get 200 angry anons but the line in Foundations of Decay "He gets to die a saint but she will always be a whore" is very clearly referencing gendered double standards. However, no one in the fanbase interprets it this way because acknowledging Gerard even has a wife and has opinions about women deeper than "Don't show your tits to get backstage" would shatter everyones brains and ruin their perception of Gerard as this gay trans icon that is so gay he doesn't get anywhere near icky problematic women. So their fans keep censoring their wife in photos and censoring captions acknowledging they're a couple because she's so horrible you can't even look at her.
Obviously Gerard uses they/them pronouns in addition to he/him and has spoken out about their feelings about gender identity and those intetpretations of his lyrics are important to acknowledge too but that line is pretty obviously talking about gendered double standards.
Obviously Lynz has done some things that really aren't cool, but her chief actual sins seem to be art theft, racism, and being friends with Jimmy Urine, which are all things Gerard has been at least of accused of too-- he was collaborating with Jimmy Urine as recently as 2020 and Jimmy Urine was in the Danger Days music videos but everyone just closes their eyes and points at Lynz.
But anyway, I think some of it is sexual jealousy and some of it is frustration that acknowledging they're into girls too means not every FOB song is about Mikey, maybe 1 or 2 are about his actual former wife. But I also think some of it is misplaced anger and frustration that no matter how smart you are or how good of a musician or artist you are or how successful of a career you have or whatever as a woman, male celebrities are almost always going to go for an influencer or model that's probably 10-15 years younger and wants to have six kids starting at age 22, and even if they want to make music with a girl they'll still pick a 19 year old ten years younger they can easily take advantage of or mistreat, like CS with Victoria and Black Cards with Bebe Rexha. And it can be easy to resent people who happen to be that pretty and happen to get lucky and be in the right place at the right time when they're very, very young and be born rich.
Also like sometimes band wives do really shitty things-- I believe Sarah Urie told an extremely racist joke while Brendon was on livestream. Mike Dirnt's wife is an antivaxxer and a vitriolic transphobe and BJA's wife participated in cyberbullying a teenager her son sexually abused And it sounds like Olivia Wilde prioritized her desire for Shia LaBeouf to be in Don't Worry Darling over Florence Pugh's safety and comfort. But before that ever came out people were calling Olivia Wilde an ugly pedophile because she was dating a 28 year old man-- famous guys date much younger than that all the time and no one ever blinks. But like Meagan doesn't do anything and has no online presence and people just fucking hate her because she's a lady that exists.
I don't really know where I'm going with this but people just hate women so much it is insane-- people get worked up over acknowledging Victoria existed in Cobra at all when Gabe made the same types of offensive jokes she did constantly and he was actually accused of emotional abuse by a female ex band member. Everyone just closes their eyes and points at Victoria.
It's so bad that a lot of band guys tend to be more feminist in this regard than their mostly female base as a whole even though theyre all like shitty and support Johnny Depp lol

Pixel Plays 01: Heisei Pistol Show
Tumblr media
I’ve decided that I wanna write blog posts about games I’ve played recently, how they make me feel, and what lessons I will be taking from them moving forward as a developer.  This entire thing is all because playing this game gave me a ton of brain worms and very few people are talking about it online.  Lets get to it!!!!
I first heard about Heisei Pistol Show (HSP from now on) by the developer Parun in a lovely video by hazel about one of his other games Re:Kinder.  She mentioned it briefly, about how it stars a boy in a lolita dress (which immediately intrigued my gender sense), and how a subbed playthrough could be found on youtube.  I tried watching that playthrough, but honestly, the translation was incredibly rough, not to mention hard to follow with how busy the art style is and how fast paced the recording was.  I decided to wait on it if a fan translation ever came out, and sure enough, just a year later, we got one!  I was super excited that I would finally get the chance to try it out
HSP is primarily exploration based, with Heart, the aforementioned boy in a dress, exploring a strange yume nikki-esque dreamscape with his best and only friend, a talking pistol, by his side.  His goal is to find and kill the top three assassins who are standing in his way from getting revenge on his ex-boyfriend.  The game loop revolves around exploring to find cash, buying a new gun, and using its special properties to defeat the top three in a sort of turn based puzzle fight.  There are no enemies beyond the bosses, so defeating them is more about using the unique properties of the guns to take them down before they can do the same to you.  I ended up just running away from all of them upon first encounter to instead find all the money in the game, using it to buy every pistol, and then using the information memos to figure out which ones to equip.  The boss fights are really clever, seeming impossible at first glace, but not too hard in the end.  The game also offers an easy mode that lets you kill every boss in one normal attack, but where’s the fun in that?!
The part of the game that really gripped me is the art and story.  The artwork feels very homemade, but also exudes effort.  Lots of bright, flashing colors and intricate programmatic animations precede every first encounter with a boss in a little musical number.  The character sprites are very charming in that oekaki sensibility as well.  The characters talk to each other like good friends with a lot of history together, which makes the rest of the story that much more tragic as it unfolds.
I’d like to delve into some spoilers as I describe the story here, so if you are interested in playing this game, please please skip this paragraph.  Heart’s story was really familiar and difficult to me, as a trans woman.  We are shown scenes of his (I will be using he for consistency, but this is debatable in my opinion) childhood in which he wishes to become a princess, and sings along to a princess-themed idol’s song, a pastiche of twinkle twinkle little star.  At first, Heart claims the singing made his father happy, but later on we are shown him being abused by his father, seemingly due to that femininity and it’s resemblance to that of Heart’s cheating mother.  As the story goes on, we can see that this pain led to an inability to form healthy relationships, as Heart attached himself to his clients as a sex worker, to the despair of the Top Three, who are seemingly representations of the other sex workers, and also ambiguously trans in the way Heart is.  Heart’s story is tragic, a trans sex worker, abused and clinging to love, falling to violence and eventually being killed by police.  Despite all of this, Heart never loses his cheery attitude and hope that he can one day find happiness, although this takes a dark turn when he believes revenge on his lover is what will bring that happiness.
I really found the story and it’s themes of clinging to hope and happiness in the face of unending misfortune, as well as its thematic interplay of sex and violence challenging and fascinating, and I think it explores the topics it does with a level of nuance greater than many works made today, despite having been developed in 2008 Japan.  I also think it succeeds in a lot of the ways recent indie darling Omori, fumbles, especially in regards to story and managing to make a dream world have consequences and meaning within the narrative.
I think some of the lessons I’ll be taking from this are in regards to the art and story.  First, I think I will try to allow myself some ambiguity in the stories of my games, especially towards the beginning.  For the majority of the game, I had very little clue what was actually going on, and things became more clear over time in a very satisfying “ah-ha!” moment.  I’d love to replicate something like that in my games in the future.  Secondly, and this is a lesson I’ve learned before, a game having “technically” bad art doesn’t make the art bad.  Parun’s artstyle isn’t the most impressive, but it has a lot of charm and beauty, and is completely unashamed of itself.  The game allows itself to be loud, colorful, and messy, and I think there’s no other way this game could have been made.
All in all, please give this game a shot!  It’s free and pretty short, less than an afternoon’s time (also I need more people to make fanart of Heart he’s so cute).

I hope you don't mind me asking you a question, are you even aware of what the word genocide means? If you don't, let me enlighten you my dear Muppet who's left in the dark. Genocide refers to the deliberate killing of a large group of people belonging to a particular nation or ethnicity. What sort of genocide has EVER taken place regarding the killing of trans people, in large numbers? You can do whatever you want with your life, dress up in women clothes and put on makeup but that doesn't make you a female, you're still a male who just doesn't know what gender actually means. The reason why the trans community is losing rights and respect these days is because you treat being a woman as something like wearing a costume
Tumblr media
Let's tackle the second part of your ask first because it's easy to deal with:
First, I am female. I was born with a uterus and a vagina. It says F on my birth certificate. I grew tiddies during puberty. I can menstruate. You're just so fucking stupid you don't know what "transmasc" means. Dipshit.
I don't need you to grasp the elementary school-level metaphor I use to describe my gender. I suppose you also get mad when Shakespeare says "Juliet is the Sun", don'tcha? Comparing humans to nature?? We've definitely not been doing that for thousands of years!
Moving on.
----
"Genocide refers to the deliberate killing of a large group of people belonging to a particular nation or ethnicity" - Anon
Hi! It looks like you're using a paraphrased and half-remembered definition of genocide from 1948 because it is convenient for your transphobic narrative, not because it is based on 21st century developments in human rights.
"Genocide is the intentional destruction of a people[a] in whole or in part."
"The Genocide Convention establishes five prohibited acts that, when committed with the requisite intent, amount to genocide."
Killing members of the group
Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group
Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction
Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group
Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group
---
#1:
"While mass killing is not necessary for genocide to have been committed, it has been present in almost all recognized genocides."
Let's start with #1. Just putting the above quote out there in case the first one trips you up: actively killing members of the group is not necessary for something to be considered genocide.
But just for the record, people very much do kill trans people simply for being trans. It is very much a thing that happens. Secondly, many of the things happening in the next few steps lead to the deaths of trans people too. Sure, they're not lining us up against the wall - yet - but that step doesn't come first, and it doesn't always look like that.
#2:
Causing serious bodily/mental harm: This is happening systemically to trans people in a multitude of ways. Forcing a trans person to detransition causes mental and physical harm. Taking away a trans person's HRT causes mental and physical harm. Refusing to let a trans child transition causes mental and physical harm. Forcing a trans person through conversion therapy causes mental and physical harm. The mental and physical harm can be so great that members of this group commit suicide to escape the pain inflicted upon them - and this is a desired effect by the way.
This abuse is systemic. It is being written into law in state after state here in America. At least 10 states in the USA have passed laws outlawing childhood transition. Several of those states are going a step further and banning health insurances from covering transition care for legal adults. There are states banning "drag performance" worded so vaguely that it could outlaw a trans person just walking down the street - and that's what it's meant to do by the way.
To claim there is not a system of law being brought down on trans people to stop us from existing as trans people is to be purposely blind and ignorant. And that's just America.
#3:
Inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about destruction: There are several ways this is happening right now. Conversion therapy is, in and of itself, a life condition imposed on a trans person in order to force them to cease existing as a trans person and to erase their transness. Forcing life outside of the home to be so unsafe and hostile that a trans person doesn't feel safe walking around as their true self is the same thing.
I want to make one thing clear. Forcing a trans person to detransition, forcing them into the closet, or otherwise forcing them to present as cis for their own safety - that is destruction. That is erasure of trans people from the face of the earth. To claim it is not, is to claim that it's not the destruction of someone's culture to force them to assimilate to Christianity if they are not Christian. It doesn't matter if the person is still technically alive: you have destroyed who they are.
#4:
Forced sterilization: Sterilization was and still is in some places mandatory for a person to legally identify as trans. To deny this is to deny literal reality. I am sure people like you do not want the disgusting transgenders to pass on their gross dysfunctional genes to their children. Which brings us to the last section.
#5:
Removing children from the group: This is happening. This happens all the time. In America, it often happens through the courts: one parent comes out as trans, the spouse freaks out, and goes to court to divorce their spouse and take full custody of the children.
But it's becoming outright law, too. In Florida, there is a bill on the floor to make it legal to take children away from transgender parents, because having to live with a trans person is "abuse". Texas last year wanted to make it so trans children could be taken away from their parents because letting their child transition was "child abuse".
---
"For the good of society … transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely"
- Daily Wire's Michael Knowles
Tumblr media
"Genocide is the intentional destruction of a people in whole or in part."
---
This. Is. Genocide.
Just because we're still in the "early" stages doesn't mean genocide is not what this is. Just because there aren't death squads going door to door to kidnap trans people out of their homes doesn't mean this isn't where it could head.

Warner Bros fired one of their PR for saying“next question, please” , when Tom Felton was asked by a Sky journalist about Rowling's absence in the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone celebrations.
After being asked why the line of questioning was cut short, the PR team said to Sky journalist: “JK Rowling is not connected to Warner or Tom Felton, the team felt it was not relevant to the piece,” and they wished to “separate the art from the artist.”
However, although omitting her name from some promotional materials for Fantastic Beasts, Warner has publicly defended the author and stated they are “proud” to work with “one of the world’s most accomplished storytellers.”
Warner denied that Felton had been stopped from talking about Rowling on their behalf, saying that the statement had been “wholly wrong” and adding that “Warner Bros. Studio Tour London regrets it happened as part of a media event that day.”
Source: X and X
Why this happened?
Tom Felton has a huge fan base in Potterhead community, because he is one of the few actors who are still a lot involved in the HP Fandom. Unlike Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, who menaged to carry on with their careers aven after their teen years, Tom Felton isn't well-known for his present-day work.
Daniel Radcliffe passed through the child actor downfall: the pressures of Hollywood are just too much for children too handle and this led Daniel Radcliffe to cope with alcohol abuse to escape from his fame and future, but fortunately he menaged to get his life back on track. Emma Watson is the most successful child actor emerging from HP movies: accomplished actor, humanitarian, graduate of Brown University, was appointed UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and dedicates her efforts towards the empowerment of young women and in promoting gender equality.
Tom Felton's career is more close to Rupert Grint's one: both of them continued acting since the Harry Potter franchise, meaning that their careers are much more impressive than a lot of people might have expected, but are full of minor roles only.
So, it's natural that Tom Felton (unlike Rupert Grint) continue to be closely connected with HP community, which is a way to remember the greatest success of his life and keep his name on media, using his past role as Draco Malfoy.
However, Tom Felton, unlike the Golden Three (Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint), became a very controversial figure for the LGBTQ+ HP fans!
Here an easy summery about WHY Tom Felton is not “wholesome” as he seems to be:
Tumblr media
Source: twitter
Okay so first of all he liked one of jk Rowling’s transphobic tweets, and he had liked under 100 tweets and he had had Twitter for many years at that point so he must’ve read what it said, and then he started getting called out for being transphobic so he unliked it, but never gave an explaination or an apology.
He also never spoke out about jkrs transphobia, which he certainly knows about. And while most of the actors spoke out he stayed quite and has simply ignored the whole situation and didn’t stand up for trans people.
And quite recently he called jkr a genius which definitely isn’t true considering she’s a disgusting transphobic human being. And before you say “but he meant her writing” her writing is extremely problematic considering it includes racism, anti-semetism, fat phobia.
And more stereotypes. She also plagiarized almost of hp. And then he also promotes dracotok where they mostly sexualize him when he was in hp and a MINOR.
And yeah I and many more ppl find his actions problematic. And I think that him not speaking out about this when he has such a big fan base proofs that he doesn’t really care about the trans community.
And please if you’re a cis fan of him don’t speak over trans peoples voices when they try to explain how he’s hurt the trans community cuz I have seen many of his fans doing that. And just because some trans ppl forgive him doesn’t mean the whole community has when he hasn't given an apology.
Okay I’m just gonna add to this thread Tom has also now blocked multiple trans creators on tiktok for calling him out and asking him to apologize and address the situation.

oda headacanons masterlist
not a mandarin-speaker; maybe hokkien/a wu dialect (ik my friend likes toying with him being wenzhouese) ? regardless his mandarin is shit but he can understand it well enough to get by⁰*
the other guys in the bats speak in similar dialects, they all met through the previous gang they were in, but most of them are considerably better at mandarin than he is
got around to understanding mandarin mostly from work/life experience
tachibana and oda usually speak to each other in japanese, or tachibana will say something in mandarin and oda will respond in japanese
he got to the name “jun oda” because it’s a translation/transliteration of his chinese name
“oda” coincidentally had characters that sound like “weitian”, which in his case is spelled differently (尾田 is a common japanese surname but reads like a japanese name in the same way “pierre” reads like a french name)
also got to “jun” because it sounds like “chen”. his surname (he uses 純 for jun which is “chun” in chinese, chen>chun>jun?)
realistically i’m pretty sure this is just writers deciding on a japanese name before a chinese one and choosing common japanese names for him
generally an insecure person with a tendency to compensate
tachibana has [slightly] more chest hair than him and he’s insecure about it
also has trouble growing facial hair, he can keep his stubble for months w/o it changing much
considers himself to be short despite being like 6′ something because he’s seen a few guys taller than him like once
consistently worries tachibana will stop liking [slash loving] him someday despite the fact that he literally lost his arm to save his life. this got a lot worse after the documentary
tachibana is not very expressive/showing of affections in the way oda is and oda still isn’t 100% used to it
“city boy” who grew up in bad conditions & with abusive/neglectful parents which more or less gave him an easy transition into involvement w/ gangs
not necessarily a headcanon but he gives me only child vibes in the “your mom died giving birth to you” sort of way
i feel like the attitude he has towards tachibana of “putting him on a pedestal” (for lack of a better term) speaks to some sort of difficulty in thinking about relationships in a non-conditional way
i also think he has this relationship w/ his past, see below
came to japan before 1976 (he was a stowaway, so...) at 17/18
open about his past up to a certain point (and especially not after the documentary). leaves gaps that sometimes tachibana can find out on his own and other times are ominously absent, very contrary to tachibana being 100% open w/ him (& the other bats)
(cw sex trafficking/sexual assault ??? )  the way both he and makoto phrased it makes it sound like it was a deal where he was tasked with finding women & sending them somewhere specific (to put it lightly), sort of a middleman? since he was involved w/ gangs it makes the most sense to me
(cw 2) i’m undecided about whether he continued trafficking with the bats
he absolutely feels remorse for what he did, especially after meeting tachibana, and even moreso after the documentary
i think it was in a similar sort of step to tachibana in that he was repressing the remorse/trying not to think about it but after the documentary he couldn’t ignore it anymore
in our modern lgbt parlance he would be considered “bi”, but if you asked him he would be very confused because he doesn’t think about stuff like that very much. have not decided if i think he’s trans or not yet
was masc 4 masc in the strict proto-instagram gay “hunks only” way before meeting tachibana. his type for women is similarly gendered (big tits long hair etc) but that hasn’t really changed
(if cis) whenever he found tachibana was trans he had the normal cis person questions but it didn’t really shock him too much bc he’d seen and slept with trans women before. ultimately it didn’t affect the way he viewed tachibana, and it’s not like he would reject tachibana in any way for any reason lol
sex wise he and tachibana switch but tachibana is the more “dominant” one with a bad habit (which started mainly when oda started being more distant) of giving into what oda wants bc he likes keeping him close
like how tachibana isn’t expressive he is also silent during sex. like not a peep. he has to consciously think of things to say. oda isn’t 100% used to that either
not neurotypical. idk how but he isn’t
some sort of writing/speech/language-related learning disability? (dyslexia?)
uh misc
black and white thinker. not introspective at all. nothing is “maybe” with this guy. arguably canon
and tachibana isn’t and his clothes are black and white and oda’s are colorful and
scared of thunder***
the way he dressed seems to me like the equivalent of someone with only 80s clothing at their disposal trying to dress in a 70s fashion. may be inspired by older movies/stars?
color and pattern-matching tended to not get too out of hand for more mainstream/trendy stuff but was a little more bold-colored and tastefully mismatched in the 70s
if only he’d lived seven more years...
big big big versace guy. if not versace then versace-esque clothes. loves that 80s color-blocking patterns thing
annoying to go to the movies with because he talks the whole way through and asks questions that could be answered by just watching the movie
got a woman pregnant once at a one night stand. not paying child support or anything like that. no interest in being involved in the child’s life at all***
tachibana knows (oda never told him, he found out on his own) and is ambivalent about it
Tumblr media
⁰ - i’m not fluent and can only know stuff through looking it up so please correct me if anything is wrong/weird. for the name thing most of these are based off of mandarin pronunciations so it could be off base
* - taken from chinese fans & friends
*** - taken from fics i read on pixiv

Trans force 141
Just my hcs about their individual transitions ect ect
written by a trans man
Price
he considered himself as a butch lesbian for a long time
a lot of internalized transphobia. (ex "well i would've liked to be a man, but im not. if i can accept that then ppl can stop being delusional")
when in his early 20's he met a girl, and when things started to get 'serious' between them she told him she's trans. He liked her too much already to just brush her off, so he finally allowed himself to ask questions he was asshamed to have...
that night he finally understood a lot of things. that ppl don't usually wish they were born as the other sex, that most girls dont try to masculin themseve, that its ok to feel that way, ect ...
also im not sure how to explain that but he don't actually only like girls : he convinced himself that 'i like being masculin bc im a lesbian'. Figuring out his gender somehow made him take conscious of his repressed attraction to men (dont mind me im projecting)
transition when you're already in the military isn't easy. hrt, coming out, changing uniforms and dorms... That did ended in some verbal/physical abuses, well, it would have happened if Price weren't that badass and ready to fight back til he gets respected.
the only long leaves he personally asked for was to get and heal his top surgery and a hysterectomy
he has always loved the name Johnathan. he doesn't know why but it sound pretty to him. naturally he knew he wanted to be call that
Ghost
when he was still a child he tried to tell his mother about how he wants to be a boy, but she brushed it off, blaming it on his father's abuses (she genuinely meant it)
before he even knows what transidentity is he got himself a v good passing and got everyone treating him like a boy, but he still assumed its more a trauma-respond kind of feeling
when he was about 16yo he learnt about transidentity and- yeah that just made sens
dont ask me how he found hrt but he sure did
before getting into the military he spent a lot of time in gay/queer bars. he didn't really liked these places but it was the only places he could find ppl like him that could somehow help him
when he came back home after years in the military (like in his comic) his transition was fully done. his mother still thoughts it was a trauma-respond, but if it makes her child happier then she accepted it. Tommy called it bullshits and called him slurs, but it went better after he recovedred from drugs. his dad.... well :')
his dad still called him his daughter until his very last breath
he dont have any surgery done. he'd like to but after everything he's been trought, the idea of being put artificially on sleep, especially while knowing ppl are going to do things with his body, sound terrifying to him.
Never uses binders. When its a dysphoria day he uses tape but most of the time he dont bind at all.
Gaz
First of all, this guy has two moms (im not taking criticisms on that), so the hard part of a transition wouldn't be to come out but mostly that he knew ppl would blame it on his mothers
... and yeah, lot of ppl said its bc he dont has a father. But don't worry he never let them talk for long. He almost got expelled from his highschool for beating up a kid being transphobic/homophobic
His moms sometimes said like "why don't you ask the household's man for that ?" And it gaves him such gender euphoria before realizing they use it to makes him do chores without complains
Now it has become a kind of running gag. Whenever they ask him to do something he's like "ohh you need a strong manly alpha man",
I feel like Kyle was the name of the mc of his favorite book as a pre-teen.
The most normal and chill transition out of everyone here : doubted his gender identity, talk about it with his moms, got estrogens blockers, went on t few years later...
ikr this one hc is a bit blend compared to the others here, but tbh i just really love Gaz and i want him to be happy
he also don't bind often. but unlike Ghost he has a small chest and ppl usually assumes its pecs
he dont plan on getting top surgery (not necessary) but wants a phalloplasty
Soap
bro has known he was a boy ever since he left the womb.
when he was a kiddo he was only playing with boys and wore boys clothes and stuffs. ppl were confused ("did the MacTavish also told you they had a babygirl ? bc that's clearly a boy playing with our kiddos")
his (big) family inst closed minded, but theyre from a rather small town in the Highlands and are kinda traditionalists
so yeah theyre a bit confuse but if their child is happier playing with boys, why being dicks about it
he eventually came out in his teen years and his parents were a bit confused but at the same time it... makes sens. like yeah that kid has been like a boy since baby
his family (especially parents) struggled to understand whats the difference between being trangender and a tomboy. theyre not transphobics, the concept just is very strange
the story of how he somehow found hrt is even darker than Ghost's
used to unsafe binde sm im surprise he can still breath
he was on hrt when he entered military, and kinda had to fight to be in the men's dorms, but it worked bc hes a badass
no surgeries done (bc he doesn't want to take long leaves), but he plans to get top and bottoms surgeries somedays

it's very very funny (lying) that my ex Vagues Me In Tags Of Posts and CONTINUES to act like I am evil and bad and "not moving on" for talking abt the shit he did to me!!! yea it was inflammatory but there's not really a way to make "this guy is a serial liar + emotionally abusive + also rapes dogs maybe don't give him a platform where he can easily target more people" NOT inflammatory. I dont understand how on other websites people care abt that shit but here I guess it's fine as long as you make enough Funny Posts right?
innes entered a relationship with me in the direct aftermath (which he was 100% aware of, he'd been there for me the like. whole time.) of a relationship that was so abusive I fucking feared for my life
he EXPLICITLY did this because I was vulnerable & scared & needed someone to be there for me, and I'm betting he saw me as a means to an end, that end being "getting out of his abusive grandmother's house for good" bc while homeless I was on a multitude of waiting lists for public housing and other support like that. which he knew, bc I told him. I'd thought abt offering "hey do you want to be roommates" to him before we started dating but iirc he is the one who brought it up when we decided to start working on making it a reality
he would also lead me to pursuing some inheritance from my grandfather who passed away almost a decade ago now which was under the control of my father for Reasons. we were going to use it to buy a house together. the quantity of this inheritance cost my (pending, but I was several years into the process and SO CLOSE to receiving) SSI, cost me some other public assistance I was receiving too but that's the big one. I'm having to restart the entire process from the start now.
I saved and saved and saved for him. pre-inheritance I literally had set a fund aside, specifically to buy him plane tickets if shit ever hit the fan & also to help with other costs if needbe. I worked really hard to save that money through commissions & doing online transcription that only pays $6/hr. I worked and worked and worked and worked for that man.
I helped him get on food stamps, I was happy to help him find a good therapist, good doctor, everything. and then he just took a huge shit on everything I did and the entire relationship and I found out he'd been lying for almost 2 months abt seeing a therapist, and then when I got mad about being mistreated and lied to, that's when he started to act like I was this evil and malicious person. because I confronted him. because I didn't just sleep and let it happen. classic textbook abuser behavior
but even then at the time I didn't realize "hey this is abuse" bc I was just so caught up in it, I was so wrapped up around him and had planned my entire future around him. I don't think he EVER did the same for me, which was why it was so easy for him to repeatedly cheat on me, lie to me, and then decide he didn't want to be around someone with a pussy bc that would make him bisexual and he's a homosexual u see. his words not mine!
idk I think it's valid to maybe question the intent of someone who claims to be trans immediately after their ex calls them out for being abusive. especially when some of that abuse surrounded my own transness & gender identity. but I guess because I don't have fucking screenshots of phone calls and discord calls it ~didn't happen~, like way to continue the fucking gaslighting
