So here's a FUN little thought I just had:

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but for all of the terms we've heard thrown around Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss like 'demon', 'angel', 'sinner', 'imp', etc. both in-show and behind-the-scenes, we have yet to hear the term 'Devil' used to describe anyone.

The imps, hellhounds, succubi and other natives of Hell are 'demons', the human souls consigned to Hell are 'sinners' and the rulers of Hell are referred to as the Kings/Embodiments of the Seven Deadly Sins, including Lucifer himself. Also notable is the fact the other popular recipient of the 'Devil' title; Satan, is simply one of the other six Sins subservient to Lucifer.

Really, it would seem like Lucifer would be the most obvious figure to hold this title, but again I'm fairly certain we've yet to actually hear Lucifer being referred to as a/the 'Devil'.

Furthermore, it seems that Lucifer's design leans much more heavily into the idea of a 'Fallen Angel' rather anything we'd generally think of as being 'devilish', what with how he clearly still has his angelic wings.

So that got me thinking.

What if the title of true 'Devil' of Hazbin's Hell isn't given to Lucifer...

...but to CHARLIE?

Oh Vaggie, look at what you've done.

Proverbs 6:17-19 if you'd like some context for my thoughts.

Vaggie remains ever the enigma. Adam is dead. Her sisters are dead. It's the second time she's made Lute come home from hell without someone she loves. And yet, Vaggie marches on. Is she really so unmoved by her losses, so content to lie to herself and refuse to mourn?

I bet the grief (guilt) is eating her alive. I just cannot be normal about this. I need to see her haunting the hotel grounds, wracked by nightmares and tracing her steps to each and every spot she stood when she killed one of her sisters. To recount their names before she walks on to the next. To honor them in some fucked up attempt at repentance, the only kind a lying traitorous tongue can offer.

There is so much blood on her hands, caked and layered ichor upon crimson. Nifty may have held the knife but the exorcists fate was sealed the second Vaggie showed mercy.
