PSA: WRITING MY MIND
Starved for good fanfiction? Unable to find the perfect balance of clean romance, fluff, and angst your heart desires?
Look no further, starving soul, than https://writingmymind.ink/. Writing My Mind is the blog of my good friend Robyn. She writes fanfiction for many different books, movies, and TV shows, including Stranger Things, Agent Carter, the MCU, Gravity Falls, The Queen’s Thief, Harry Potter, Snow White with the Red Hair, and Gods of Jade and Shadow. She also writes for ships like Eddissy/Hellcheer, WinterWidow, Fremione, and Dipcifica. Her stories are excellent (and many are quite long!). I highly recommend checking her stories out. She posts regularly; updates about which of her stories she plans to post can be found on her Twitter (@wrtngmymind) (https://mobile.twitter.com/wrtngmymindink).

Just saw The People's Joker and uh...that sure was a movie. Very happy I got to see it, had a great time. Was really cool to hear the Q&A with Vera afterwards.
Couldnt tell you if it was good or not if my life depended on it.

A 4 star read for me | I didn't have any expectations starting this book but I saw everyone talking about this door erotica and had to see for myself
Did I expect to find this actually cute? NO
Did I expect this to actually have plot? NO
I was surprised, to say the least

The Edge of Love (2008)
I want to talk about these characters.
I specifically want to talk about these characters being written by a female writer, because I feel like that’s what has made all the difference in this film.
The bond between Caitlin and Vera was something I genuinely can’t remember having ever seen before (in that 2008 landscape), and Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller’s relationship in all of the press interviews I’ve seen for this film (and yes, I’ve seen them - what else do you do after watching a film that leaves you feeling empty) - their chemistry together was magic.
These two define sisterhood. Messy, complicated sisterhood. The kind of relationship where you grow together, learn together, face the ugliest, scariest challenges together, make mistakes and still love each other. I’m so glad they showcased this relationship because for me, this is what the film was at its core. The romance with the good man and the bad man and the babies were part of it, sure, but it was Vera and Caitlin, open and judgement free, that was the constant. And this is only ever portrayed when you have a strong female writer and I’m so fkn here for it. I genuinely believe the way Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller reflected this camaraderie off camera has a lot to do with being able to play these characters so freely.
Anyway, these are my thoughts. I really feel like there was just so much to this film. It broke my heart but I enjoyed it. And this relationship would never have existed without a female writer.
I started this journey of films to explore Cillian Murphy’s film catalogue, because we know homeboy can act with his entire soul. But you know, once that’s done, I think I may explore Keira Knightley’s works next because to me they’re genuinely of the same class of acting. I know Sienna Miller from Stardust, but sadly not much else.
Does anyone else watch films for actors? Or explore all films of an actor or director they like? I’m taking any and all suggestions

Well, lads, we’ve caught up on Stranger Things, much faster than I probably should have, and the thoughts are a comin’, and I can’t stop listening to Rock You Like a Hurricane, and for some reason Super Trouper? Blame the Eddie/Chrissy fanfics I’ve been reading for that. SPOILERS BELOW. I just need to rant.
The Duffers love killing off cinnamon rolls, golly gee. Bob, Alexei, and now EDDIE? MY METALHEAD FIDGETY CHILD? Unacceptable. I am packing my rucksack as we speak and venturing out into the less cruel world of AUs.
I am platonically in love with Max and Robin, and no one can stop me. They are the sort of confident disasters I aspire to be.
*Joyce and Hopper kiss* *I punt myself directly into the sun* *I am cheering and popping open sparkling cider the whole way*
Season Three was my favorite. I loved the aesthetic with the bright colors and the mall and how DARN cute the kids and Steve were together. So many wonderful and hilarious pairings. So much glorious screentime. Beautiful. Bravo. Also El’s confidence boost and Max’s adorable friendship with her was just amazing. 11/10 would watch El twirl in front of the mirror in a cute romper again.
So THAT’S where the Dangerous Dude Sipping A Cherry Slushie In A Car meme came from.
I don’t want to hate Mike, Finn does such a good job. I dunno. He’s being such a lunkhead at the moment.
Pro tip for nerds like me who like creepy stuff but are also totally creeped out: the mute button is your best friend. Keeps it from being so scary when you can’t hear it.
Another pro tip: Vecna’s backstory is much less scary when the show is on mute and you’re playing Happy H. Christmas on your phone.
I love watching the friendships grow and change as the seasons go on.
I’m running out of things to say. Eddie Munson. Steve “The Mom” Harrington. Nancy with guns. Jonathan Byers in season two. Dustin’s smile. Will wearing that dumb purple cape and hat. Joyce is adorable.
If you’re starved for Eddie/Chrissy content because they really were just SO cute and we were robbed, I recommend these fics:
Sorry the first one is on chapter five…I’m reading it currently and I’m on mobile so I can’t fix it.

the other thing about world trigger is that one of the protagonists is a ghost, possessed AND animated by his dad's ghost who lurks behind his eyes and whispers when someone is lying. this would be true even if he wasn't literally trapped in the moment of his own death for four years. this isn't even spoilers because SO FAR THIS ISN'T REALLY PLOT RELEVANT!!!

Alfred Hitchcock’s thrilling adaptation of Robert Bloch’s dark novel, Psycho – about a young woman (Janet Leigh) who tries to start a new life in California, only to be caught up in the bizarre rituals of a quiet young man (Anthony Perkins) dominated by his demanding mother – was released on September 8, 1960.
