Smile, a Charak fic. Chapter 6: The Truth
This is a work of RPF. If you are uncomfortable with this, I VERY MUCH encourage you not to read this chapter.
This is also a chapter with an Explicit rating. Again, if you are not comfortable, do not read.

This is my first time writing a NSFW scene, so let me know what you think.

Tarak wrestled with the strange feeling in his gut since Tomas pointed out their observations of Ram at the beach. This sensation in the pit of his stomach was the perfect mixture of anxiety and hope; it made it difficult to live in and enjoy the moment truly. They spent a couple of hours on the beach before Tomas turned to Tarak and Ram with a face of fatigue.
“I think we have to wrap it up, gentleman. All this sun is hitting me a little hard this afternoon,” Tomas said with a weary voice.
Ram perked up with an expression of minor worry, “Not a problem! I’m sure we can find more to do throughout the day..”
Tarak’s attention picked up from his phone as he had read Tomas’ text multiple times since it came through, suddenly feeling a heat spread from his stomach to his chest as the opportunity to tell Ram was quickly approaching. He hesitated before nodding, “Yeah. We will be fine. We can care for ourselves if you both need to go home and relax.”
Tomas smiled, “Thank you, guys. I’m sorry. Too much sun on the beach, and all the energy gets sucked right out of me.” He gathered most of their stuff into their cooler to bring to the SUV.
As Tomas lifted the cooler to bring it to the vehicle, Ram stepped in to take one of the handles to assist. The two men left Tarak and Mateo to finish gathering the rest of their stuff. Mateo glanced at Tarak once the other two men were out of earshot.
“You feeling alright?” Mateo was blessed with a deeper voice that soothed Tarak’s ears.
“Yeah… I think,” Tarak said, too enveloped in his own thoughts to really be able to articulate.
Mateo put a caring hand on Tarak’s shoulder. “Remember something for me. Whatever happens, there is nothing wrong with how you feel, man.” The larger man gave a comforting squeeze as he stepped away. It was clear Mateo wanted to allow Tarak space to process everything.
Tarak was appreciative of the caring gesture. Even if, at this moment, he was too numb from his anxiety to show it. As Tarak and Mateo approached the SUV with the rest of the beach supplies, Ram stepped back from the trunk and hugged Tomas.
“I told Tomas since the hotel was so closeby that we could just go for a short walk back to our room to figure out what we would do for the night,” Ram said with a smile, then turning to Mateo, “Make sure he hydrates and uses some aloe vera. It will help with any sunburn if it comes up.”
Tarak watched as Ram went into caregiver mode. It was always the sweetest thing when Ram recognized when someone was ailed with something, either physical or emotional. It meant that he cared deeply and wanted to do his part to ensure their health. Tarak smiled lightly as he watched the conversation between Ram and their two friends. The anxiety eased momentarily and allowed Tarak to hope that what Tomas and Mateo said was true. He took a deep breath of the warm air and relaxed his mind and muscles.
Tarak approached and also gave both Mateo and Tomas a hug, “You are both wonderful. Thank you for this beach day. It was nice getting to relax by the ocean for a while.”
Tomas hugged Tarak closely and whispered as Mateo gave Ram a verbal goodbye, “We are a phone call away. Please keep us posted.” His tone was one of true caring, surprising Tarak to a point. Knowing he had people to turn to if the conversation went sour comforted him.
A few moments later, the black SUV pulled away from the parking spot, and with a wave, Tomas and Mateo had left them to their own devices. There was a comfortable silence between Tarak and Ram as they stood to wave. Eventually, Tarak turned and looked at Ram.
“Shall we, Charan?”
Ram met his glance with a warm smile that would melt any glacier, “We shall, Taraka.”
The two men walked through the beautiful Los Angeles streets and carried themselves as always. They talked about how wonderful Tomas and Mateo were to treat them to a nice time, they laughed and joked, and Ram managed to get one good pinch on Tarak’s ribs to the point that Tarak yelped with surprise and recoiled like a child. Things were as normal as they could be with the two men.
However, Tarak felt that energy build up inside him the closer they got to the hotel. How am I going to tell him? Should I wait until later in the evening? No, it has to be once we get back. I don’t know how long I can keep pretending. What will he say? Will he want me to leave and go back home? Thoughts continued to swirl in Tarak’s mind with each step. It was as if the fear inside had its own personality, and he struggled with it every time his heart swelled around Ram.
“Everything okay, Tarak?” Ram asked with a warm smile.
Tarak perked up at the question, “Of course, baby. Why?”
“You just seem very in your own head lately. I just wanted to make sure that you were alright.”
Tarak smirked and spoke truthfully, “I’m just working through some things in my head. Nothing to worry about.”
Ram’s eyes hovered on his for a moment as they continued to walk before he nodded.
A few minutes later, they approached the front doors of their hotel. Tarak’s heart was beating faster than it had in quite a while. Why can’t you be alright with how things are with you and Ram? Why do you have to want more? His mind was starting to betray him; the fear and angst of feeling something deeper for Ram than mere friendship beginning to grip him. As they stepped into the elevator, he could almost feel a weight on his chest slowly grow, threatening to rob him of his ability to breathe. Tarak did his best to take a deep breath as the elevator doors opened to their floor, and they moved to the hotel room door; an uncomfortable silence had settled between them.
Once the hotel room door closed behind them, Ram moved to his luggage to retrieve his phone charger. Tarak stepped towards his bag and felt like his skin was on fire with nerves. He took a long breath and stared out the window into the beautiful city.
Now, or never. Tarak told himself internally.
Just as he turned and was about to speak, Ram spoke up.
“Tarak…? There’s… There’s something I need to tell you,” Ram’s face was serious, but there was a hint of nervousness to his tone, which caused Tarak’s brow to furrow.
“What’s wrong?” Tarak asked. His thoughts immediately went to the beach. Maybe he saw Tarak looking at him. Maybe Tomas said something. As his mind ran wild with possibilities, Ram met his gaze, and he felt his thoughts go blank.
Ram paused and opened his mouth as if to speak, but only a breath came out.
“I…” Ram finally started to talk, Tarak seeing his expression drop as he found the words, “I had a wonderful time today….” His eyes were downcast, and he had the expression of someone who meant to say something else entirely.
Tarak eyed him with a curious and hopeful look but felt a surge of energy in his chest as Ram turned to sift through the clothes in his suitcase. As Ram had turned and broke eye contact, Tarak followed suit, but in the moments that followed, lost control of his body and his words.
“Ram,” Tarak said, husky and heavy, “I… I actually need to tell you something too….”
Ram turned quickly, locking eyes with Tarak. His eyebrows raised expectantly, but he remained silent.
Tarak took a deep breath, his heart pounding in his chest. "I... I have to be honest. I haven't been feeling alright, as I said I was before... I've been struggling with something that has weighed heavily on my heart. It scared me deeply, but I've come to terms with it." He paused, searching for the right words, his voice filled with vulnerability. "I've missed you so much, Ram. Working on RRR was undoubtedly one of the best times in my life, and it took me a while to understand why. It wasn't just about the work; it was because I got to be next to you every day. I got to hold your hand, and it was magical." Tarak's voice quivered as tears welled up in the corners of his eyes.
Clutching his eyes shut, Tarak continued, fearing the worst. "I can't stop thinking about you. Every night as I try to sleep, thoughts of you consume me. Your touch makes my smile brighten, your smile makes my heart race, and when you speak, my muscles threaten to give out." He struggled to find his next words, his voice filled with raw emotion. "I've realized that my feelings for you run deeper than friendship or brotherhood. I care for you with all my heart, Ram. I believe I've felt this way for years, but it took me so long to realize it. And while I'm overwhelmed with these feelings for you, I'm also deeply terrified."
Tarak's tears flowed freely now as he confessed his deepest fears, his voice breaking through shuddered breaths. "I'm terrified to be standing here, saying these words because my worst fear is that you will turn away or that our friendship will end. I need you like I need air or the sun on my face. I hope beyond hope that our closeness won't end because, with you by my side, I would no longer need to dream. Because how can a dream be more beautiful than seeing your smile each day...?"
There was a tense silence, and Tarak couldn't bear it. His fear gripped him too tightly, and the weight of his vulnerability threatened to break him. "I'm so sorry, Ram," he breathed out, holding his head in his hands. As Tarak's emotions overtook him, he felt Ram's warm, soft hands gently grip his own. Ram's fingers intertwined with his, giving him a glimmer of hope. Tarak slowly lifted his teary eyes to meet Ram's gaze.
Ram stood before him, tear streaks marking his cheeks. His voice was filled with tenderness and emotion as he spoke, his hand cupping Tarak's cheek, gently wiping away the tears. "Tarak... I have been yours since the day we met," he confessed, his voice quivering. "Thoughts of you have never left my mind all these years. You've always had my heart in your hands. You are my Tarak."
Tarak's heart skipped a beat, his eyes widening in disbelief. He searched Ram's face for any sign of uncertainty but found none. Something unspoken passed between them, a shared understanding. Tarak took a small step closer, silently asking for permission, and saw a faint smile tugging at Ram's lips. Tarak’s hand slowly rose to rest against Ram’s cheek as his thumb caressed away the tears that had rolled down his beautiful eyes. He felt their breaths comingle from their proximity, making his body tremble. Ram’s eyes were so beautiful. Tarak looked at Ram’s lips and felt his head lean closer, almost on its own.
In a moment of breathtaking beauty, Tarak closed his eyes and felt his lips brush against Ram's in a tender, hesitant kiss. Time seemed to stand still as their lips lingered, the world around them fading into the background. Every worry, every ounce of anxiety melted away, leaving only the warmth and connection between them.
Tarak felt a surge of electricity coursing through his veins as the kiss deepened, their lips moving in sync. It was almost a dance, a meeting of long-hidden desires finally given freedom. He could feel himself absorb the moment, the feeling of their genuine connection only realized through this kiss. He felt his body press closer to Ram’s, wanting to immerse himself in the other man's warmth. His arms wrapped around his Ram and pulled him into an embrace that conveyed all the desire inside. Ram's hands found their place around Tarak’s shoulders, his fingers caressing along his neck, which sent a shiver down Tarak’s spine. The world around them faded away as they kissed, leaving only the sound of their heartbeats in their ears. The weight that had lifted from both of them was the acceptance of their true feelings for one another.
Every touch, every movement felt electric, as if the universe had conspired to bring them together. Tarak reveled in the softness of Ram's lips, how they molded perfectly against his own as if this kiss was always meant to be. As the kiss gradually subsided, Tarak rested his forehead against Ram's; their breaths fell on their beards, the intensity of their desire thick in the air. They remained locked in their embrace, savoring the moment.
"I never want to let you go," Tarak whispered, his breathy voice filled with sincerity. He hadn’t spoken a truth so deep in his life. Ram's gaze met his, and they exchanged a knowing smile, their eyes conveying a depth of understanding that words could not capture.
"I don’t either," Ram replied softly, his voice laced with tenderness.
Tarak's heart swelled with joy, knowing that his feelings were reciprocated and their friendship had blossomed far deeper.
“I would very much like to kiss you again. If you’ll have me,” Tarak whispered, a slight grin playing across his face.
Ram giggled a little before leaning forward again, capturing Tarak’s lips in a kiss that continued to deepen. Tarak felt his body shift backward until his legs met the side of his bed. He broke the kiss to confirm how close they were to his bed before turning back to Ram. Before he could say anything, he felt Ram’s hand gently push against Tarak’s chest to guide him onto his bed. Tarak smiled and slowly moved until he was laid down while Ram followed him. Tarak let out a small excited giggle as Ram hovered above him and leaned down to capture another deep kiss again.
Their lips continued to move in sync, the passion and tenderness building with each passing moment. Tarak's hands roamed across Ram's back, pulling him closer until there was no space between them. Ram's hands trailed down Tarak's chest, his fingers tracing patterns over the fabric of his shirt. The heat between them was palpable, the air thick with desire.
Tarak moaned as Ram's lips moved down his neck, trailing hot kisses along his skin. He felt his body responding to Ram's touch, every nerve ending on fire. It was as if they had been waiting for this moment for years, the culmination of a love brewing beneath the surface for far too long.
Ram's hands moved to the hem of Tarak's shirt, his fingers dipping underneath to trace circles on his stomach. Tarak arched his back, wanting more contact, more of Ram's touch. He felt Ram's lips curve into a smile at his reaction. Then, feeling playful and explorative, Tarak quickly flipped their positions, Ram snickering at the sudden movements. Tarak dove back in to capture Ram’s kiss with hunger as his hands roamed his muscular chest, finally indulging all of the many thoughts that crossed his mind these last few days. As Tarak’s kisses traveled from Ram’s lips to his neck, he delighted in the small whines that emanated from him.
Tarak’s hands found the edge of Ram’s shirt, and he looked up into Ram’s eyes with a look of hunger and a need for connection.
“I’ve never done this before…” Tarak admitted with a breath as he gazed into Ram’s gorgeous eyes with anticipation.
Ram reached up and caressed Tarak’s face as he showed a comforting smile, “I haven’t either. But we can take it slow. We have all the time in the world,” Ram whispered, his voice filled with love and reassurance.
Tarak felt relief wash over him, knowing they were both in the same boat. He leaned in to capture Ram's lips again, his hands moving to explore the smooth skin of his stomach under the tank top. The heat intensified, the world around them nonexistent as they explored each other's bodies with a hunger bordering on desperation. It was an intoxicating feeling, the thrill of discovery mixed with the deep love and affection they shared. Tarak growled as he felt the bulge growing in his swimsuit rub against Ram's, the friction making his body tremble.
As their passion continued to grow, Tarak lifted Ram's shirt up and over his head, taking in the sight of the smooth tan skin of his chest. Tarak then removed his own shirt and leaned down, needing to feel their bodies together as his lips found Ram's clavicle. The sensation of Ram's bare chest against his own was exhilarating. Tarak's kisses trailed down to the center of Ram's chest, and he felt his lover’s hands move through his dark curls.
Their bodies were entwined in a heated dance, each touch and movement sending sparks of pleasure. Tarak could feel his own desire growing with each passing moment, matched only by the intensity he could feel radiating from Ram. His hands and lips traced their way down Ram's body, exploring every inch of skin, as Tarak moved lower and lower towards the tent in Ram's swim trunks.
“Tarak…” Ram moaned, his body trembling as his lover was now close to eye level with his waist.
“Do you want this?” Tarak asked in a flirty voice, lightly brushing against the tip of the tent in Ram’s swim trunks with his palm. Tarak felt a dark hunger build from the moment of contact and met Ram’s gaze with a look of mischief. Ram’s body flexed from the brief moment of contact, his breath coming in small bursts as the desire overtook his faculties. Ram met Tarak’s hungry gaze and nodded with a breathless smile.
Tarak slipped his fingertips under the waistband of Ram’s swimsuit trunks and lifted as he pulled down, slowly seeing Ram’s member revealed before him. He felt that burning desire only grow as he slipped Ram’s trunks the rest of the way down his legs and tossed them to the side. He stared with hunger at its length and smirked at the throbbing sensation that made it twitch. He locked his eyes with Ram as he reached up and gently wrapped his hand around its length, taking in the new and delightful feeling as he stroked it up and down. Ram’s eyes clutched shut, and another delicious sound escaped him at the sensation, making Tarak’s grin widen. He then took his other hand to gently cup and massage Ram’s testicles, finding himself mesmerized by how smooth they felt in his hand. This exploration was driving Tarak wild, and he constantly looked up to Ram for confirmation to continue.
As he played with Ram’s member, he found himself moving closer and closer to the tip. Tarak knew his breath was teasing the skin as Ram’s trembles beneath him became more uncontrolled. Feeling a surge of curiosity, Tarak held his hand at the base of Ram’s cock so it stood up straight and flicked his tongue over the tip. Ram became breathless as he cast a pleading glance down at Tarak as a sign to do that again. Tarak then dragged his tongue along the shaft before sliding Ram’s length into his mouth, enjoying the taste and the feeling.
Ram’s movements grew wilder as Tarak bobbed his head up and down, loving the feeling of Ram’s length throbbing in his mouth. Finding the hunger take over, Tarak moved with purpose. His once curious movements were replaced by the pure desire to please his lover. As Ram’s breaths became more energized, Tarak pushed himself to take Ram further and further down his throat. It was a challenge, but one he took seriously. The first time he found himself deepthroating Ram, his cock hit the back of his throat. He started to gag but fought back the urge. He wanted to feel the entire length of his lover in his mouth. His determination was rewarded as he slowly slid Ram’s length down his throat, feeling his throat open to accept it. Tarak found deep pleasure in the feeling while Ram’s hands shot down to his head and gripped him tight as he moaned out Tarak’s name.
It was the sign he had waited for. Tarak pulled back and had to work hard to catch his breath. He then looked up to Ram for his cue. Ram’s eyes were clenched shut, his head tilted back. Tarak then wrapped his hand around Ram’s length and began to stroke at a frenetic pace. Ram’s body seized up, and he let out a guttural moan, coating Tarak’s hand in his seed. He stared in awe at Ram’s primal sexiness. Tarak continued pumping his hand up and down until Ram’s cock stopped throbbing in his hand until the last drop had landed on his wrist. Tarak reached for one of the towels they had brought to the beach and cleaned his hand. At some point, he would explore what it was like to taste Ram’s release, but that would be an experience for later.
A few minutes later, Ram came to his senses as he looked down at Tarak.
“You… holy shit Tarak, you were amazing,” he said with a dazed smile. Tarak grinned and blushed, his confidence bolstered.
“You liked it?”
“Of course I did!” Ram replied, taking Tarak’s hand and kissing the back of it, “You’re amazing.”
Tarak blushed and looked away, but he didn’t have time to process that Ram thought so highly of him before Ram took hold of his face and pulled him in for a kiss. Tarak placed his arms around his waist, and the two kissed deeply. It started out slow, but soon it built into something more fiery.
Tarak felt Ram’s hand at his waist as the kiss built up in passion. When Ram broke the kiss, he saw the mischievous spark in his eyes as he deftly flipped their position again. Tarak allowed himself to be laid on the bed as his lover climbed on top of him. With a hunger and intensity that caught Tarak off guard, Ram’s mouth kissed and nipped from his neck to his hairy chest. Tarak closed his eyes and leaned his head back in pleasure as Ram stopped to bury his face in the tuft of hair at the center of his muscular chest before he continued kissing downward. As Ram got closer to his waist, he felt one of his hands grip and massage his own throbbing member under his swim trunks. He found himself almost growling at how he enjoyed the feeling, catching a mischievous glance from Ram as he smiled and continued kissing downward.
He blushed as Ram slowly slipped his trunks down, feeling completely exposed to his Ram. He smiled as Ram’s eyes widened at his size before he saw a hungry smirk reveal itself. Unlike his exploration of Ram, he was teased as Ram leaned down to kiss his inner thigh and then up to the base of his belly. It was as if Ram delighted in avoiding making any contact with his quivering length. Every time Ram moved as if he would finally caress the tip of Tarak’s member with his lips, Ram would shift his movement to tease him again. This delightful little dance made Tarak’s body tremble with desire; his nerve endings felt like they were catching on fire every time Ram moved away.
Tarak sent a hungry glare down at Ram and saw a devilish grin in return. Eventually, Ram positioned his mouth above the prominent member and, without hesitation, slid as much as he could into his mouth, eliciting a moan dripping with pleasure from Tarak.
"Ram! " Tarak groaned his name in the throws of ecstasy,
That was all it took for Ram to begin bobbing up and down, taking the length as far down his throat as much as possible. Ram was completely lost in the pleasure that having Tarak so deep in his mouth gave him. He couldn't help but look up as he serviced Tarak, satisfied at the moans and whimpers coming from above him. He loved the feeling of Tarak’s hands in his hair and that he was the one to make Tarak feel this way.
Tarak could feel his body heating up. He could feel the haze of the pleasure building toward his climax. Ram must have picked up on that as he removed his mouth from Tarak's length and leaned down to lick at his balls, preventing the release for the moment. Tarak had no idea how sensitive that area was to such sensations and felt his whole body tense as he hissed with pleasure. He looked down to match Ram's playful gaze as he felt one of his testicles slip in and out of his talented mouth. Tarak couldn't help but continue to moan in pleasure as he wondered where Ram had learned these techniques. That pressure in his body returned as he felt himself building towards his climax, the moans and trembles in his body becoming much more erratic with each flick of Ram's tongue.
" Ram! I'm going to-" Tarak's breathless words were cut off as Ram quickly shifted to take the member back into his mouth. Tarak looked down with uncontrollable pleasure as he came with a groan.
He couldn't help but look down at his lover like a lovestruck schoolboy as Ram swallowed all of his seed. With each pump out of his cock, he felt Ram's eager tongue lap his seed and swallow it down.
Tarak felt every muscle, every worry, and every thought melt away as the spasms of his orgasm subsided, and he looked with a dizzy smile down at his Ram, who slowly kissed his way back up Tarak's belly. He reached and ran his fingers through Ram's hair as his mouth reached his chest, and eventually felt their lips meet in another passionate kiss, Tarak tasting some of himself in Ram's mouth. Tarak slowly pulled back from the kiss and met Ram's gaze.
"That was... absolutely incredible..." Tarak uttered breathlessly.
Ram smiled with a satisfied expression. "I'm happy you enjoyed it, baby."
The term of endearment meant something different now, shifting away from the playful term to an actual heartfelt label for how they felt about each other. It warmed Tarak's heart as he slowly wrapped his arm around Ram as he lay beside him.
"Where did you learn to do those things...?" Tarak asked, his eyes slowly blinking as he enjoyed the afterglow of their first experiences.
Ram giggled and blushed slightly, "I may have watched an adult film or two."
The two men giggled like children before a comfortable and emotional silence filled the room. Ram leaned to rest his head on Tarak's arm and placed his hand on Tarak's chest, their legs slowly entangling together. They just lay together and stared into each other's eyes, periodically leaning over to lightly kiss the other. Tarak was convinced this was what heaven must feel like as he reached up with his free hand to lightly brush against Ram's temple and hold his cheek.
"I don't believe there are enough words to express how lucky I am." Tarak eventually said in a sound just above a whisper as he looked with affection into Ram's beautiful face.
Ram smiled with a blush as he moved closer to nuzzle into Tarak's shoulder. "I'm the one who is lucky, Taraka."
The two eventually drifted off to sleep in this position, holding each other close and finding the sweetness of their proximity infectious. Tarak's eyes slowly opened as he heard his phone buzz from the nightstand. He made no move to check it as he saw Ram's sleeping form in his arms, not wanting to disturb him. There was no need to do anything other than just lay with his Ram and smile.
After a few moments of this peace, his phone buzzed again. This time, Ram's eyes slowly opened, and Tarak saw the funniest and cutest sleepy face ever. He giggled at the sight of Ram with one eye closed as he glared at the nightstand, to which Ram replied with a quick pinch to Tarak's side. As the two finished their playful moment, Ram eventually spoke.
"You should check your phone... And then throw it off the balcony." Ram suggested with a playful sleepy grin.
Tarak laughed as he grabbed his phone from the nightstand, grunting as the screen's brightness blinded him. It was a text from Tomas, one of many, as it turned out.
T: Is everything alright with you two?
T: Hello?
T: Did you talk to Ram?
T: You’d better be bumping uglies!
T: Seriously tho, is everything good?
Tarak laughed a little at the texts, which caused Ram to raise a brow.
“Who is it?” Ram asked with that tired tone.
“It’s Tomas. He was just checking in on us.”
Ram shook his head and took a breath. “He must have been psychic.”
Tarak laughed, then paused for several moments as a suspicious thought entered his mind. “Wait, what did you say?”
Ram picked his head up from Tarak’s chest with a look, “I said he must have been psychic. I vented to him several times about wanting to tell you what I felt. In fact, I may have asked him discreetly if we could end the beach day so we could have time to talk.”
Tarak’s expression turned shocked, “ I vented to him too! He asked me the other night at the clothing store if we were together! I ended up confiding in him everything I was feeling!” Ram’s eyes widened before he laughed uncontrollably, burying his face into Tarak’s armpit. “That little snake!” Tarak shouted as he also laughed at how funny the situation was. The two men continued to giggle at their circumstances before Tarak felt his heart swell, his arms wrapped tightly around his Ram, and he smiled brightly.
Ram’s head lifted from Tarak’s armpit, and he pecked Tarak on the lips, “We will have to do something special for our matchmaking friends.”
Tarak’s eyes narrowed as he tried to think of some ideas. “Well, now that we know he is not feeling sun sick, we should bring them both to dinner. It's still early enough,” Tarak said, glancing down at the time on his phone.
Ram’s eyebrows raised in excitement at the prospect of food. “I like that plan.”

Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Only at work.

So... trivia, I've got you covered -- Countries of the world? Stanley Cup Winners? Presidents? Every premise of every episode of TNG or the magic school bus? Usually able to remember things on the basis of remembering when and where I learned them. Have been accused of never forgetting anything ever, but that feels the opposite of true, though maybe I'm just more aware than is typical of everything I have forgotten, for some of the same reasons. Should also point out that I've gotten lost walking home a few different times in my life, so... we all have different talents.
Where were you born?
Calgary, AB
Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings mostly. Prefer comedies, at this point in my life.
Do you have any pets?
Sandwich is my partner's familiar, but she counts:
How tall are you?
About 184cm.

TTRPGs, writing, reading, being terminally online, watching/arguing about pro wrestling, cooking/baking new things, sometimes i draw comics.
Favorite subject in school?
in senior year i was allowed to take a class called 'script writing' which was essentially spending an extra hour a day in the theatre department working on literally whatever and occasionally directing freshmen. led to hilarious days where i'd have theatre, film, scriptwriting, free block, lunch, then english lit. best university elective was probably either obituary writing or a film class based on the works of the coen brothers and jim jarmusch.
Dream job?
Talk show host. Roddenberry-esque creator of a thing people love enough to keep going well beyond my paltry limitations and see grow and invert and reinvent itself decades on.
I was tagged by @unbound-shade
I'm going tag, sans obligations, my 15 most recent mutuals. Which is to say, I don't know much about you even to know if you do these sorts of tumblr socializing games. Animator Alexander Williams seems to make his work more interesting to watch. Warner Bros’ Quest for Camelot was loosely based on a Novel by Vera Chapman with only the interpretation of characters and story. Especially the Red Knight Ruber that gives me almost the chills. He was one a loyal knight of the round table of King Arthur, he’s a power hungry mad man with a thirst for revenge, and he’s definitely murderous insane, knight, thing. Appearance can sometimes be deceiving for an evil knight. With a nervous twitch, wrestling strut, and broken nails, he’s what you call a barbarian of the Arthurian fantasy. And while he may have his army of mechanical monsters, and a griffin as a pet minion, he is so difficult to fight with, but never gets his way of pedigree. He grew obsessive and wanted riches, but doesn’t care about Peace and Justice, and that’s what I call a barbarian of a knight. https://www.instagram.com/p/CiOWtOEu_oV/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

June 15 - Part 2
Tumblr media
“Vera….” Caleb said grasping my hand and stroking my fingers with his, a little too roughly. Though I didn’t mind.
I may have tried to temp Caleb earlier….
“You look enticing, as always.” Caleb said, doing his best to keep his eyes on my face. “I need you to change into something else.”
“Why?” I asked innocently.
“You know why.” Caleb told me, releasing my hand and walking over to the couch.
I did as he asked, the party pooper. But, he didn’t say what I had to change into. I laughed under my breath as I walked back to the living room.
Tumblr media
“Hello Dear.” I said, as I moved in front of him and placed my knee on his leg.
The look he gave me, I had to stop myself from laughing. “What is this?” Caleb asked me, even as his hand betrayed him.
“You said to change, so I did.” I stated, giving him a small smile.
“This is not what I meant.” Caleb stated.
“Your hand seems to like my outfit very much.” I told him as I bent down to kiss him.
Caleb had other plans, he quickly wrestled me down into his arms.
Tumblr media
I made a “hmmph” sound as he held me closer to him.
“You may be the most provoking woman I have ever met.” Caleb whispered to me, fondly.
I tried to wiggle free from his grasp, but he wouldn’t let me. “Not until you promise to behave.”
“Really, Caleb?” I asked, getting irritated.
‘Yes.” He said as he nestled his cheek into my hair.
I huffed out a “Fine.” He released me.
Caleb has this thing about courting until marriage. I’m sure that’s because of his upbringing and wanting to make things good for us. I can’t fault him for that. I even love him for it and think it’s romantic. Sometimes though, I just want to rip off his clothes and take him to bed. Tonight was one of those nights after not seeing him for a while.
Tumblr media
“What would you like to watch?” He asked me after we got comfortable.
“I don’t know.” I said, still being moody from not getting what I wanted.
“Barney it is.” Caleb stated before going to reach for the remote.
“Oh hell no!” I said, getting all riled up. Then I heard him chuckling. He was messing with me.
In the end, we started watching some made for TV movie from the 1990’s.
Tumblr media
We talked more than anything. I forgot my earlier annoyance with him and things were just easy. We caught up on each others lives until after midnight.
Tumblr media
He sent me off to bed while whispering to me some of the most romantic words a man can say to a woman “I will do your housework while you sleep.”

Beach time with the Dimitrescu family is a good way for the girls and Mia to let their energy out in summer, if they get too overheated they can just wade in the ocean
Alcina and Zoe stay on the sand, Zoe's busy making sand castles and Alcina is reading lesbian erotica while making sure no part of her gets in the sun, because she burns near instantly in exposure to sunlight
Her wives and two of her kids are tan (minus Daniela because the redhead genes in her aren't meant for heavy sun. Not like she lets sunburn get the best of her), but Alcina is still pale as a ghost.
The one time she acquiesced and swam in the sea with her babies, she was lobster red from head to toe. So many bottles of aloe vera were used to help with both her burns and Daniela's.
I think all the Dimitrescus are a little sensitive to sunlight. They're all very "We don't tan, we BURN." (Especially Daniela and Alcina) But, you know, that doesn't stop them. Alcina makes sure all of them, her wives included, are slathered in sunscreen before they officially start their beach day. (Mia will insist she "Doesn't need it", because she's never burned in the sun before, but Alcina makes her wear it anyway)
Cassandra and Mia wear swim trunks, because they're more comfortable in them. Alcina had a one piece that her wives just adore. Daniela and Zoe are both bikini wearers. Bela's in a two piece, but she usually wears a t-shirt over it.
Mia, Cassandra, and Daniela spends 90% of their time just chasing each other around, and it doesn't stop just because they're in the water. They're constantly splashing one another, or wrestling, each other. They're always covered in sand by the end of it, too, but at least they aren't complaining about "Sand everywhere!"
Bela likes helping Zoe with sand castles. It's much more her speed, though she does enjoy the occasional swim as well. Bela's also been the victim of her sisters burying her in sand when she tried to relax once. She proceeded to throw it at their faces and chased them for an hour.
Alcina just sits under her big umbrella, with her sunhat on, watching the chaos that is her family at the beach. And she loves it. (She also brings lots of snacks for them. From juice boxes, to fruits, and a sandwich for each of her girls prepared how they like, plus some wine for herself. Zoe also brings alcohol.)
Someone is always sunburnt by the end of it, too. (Usually Daniela, because ginger genes, or Mia because she "forgot" to get a second coat of sunscreen) But they all have fun.

Val + Fighting = A Bad Time
So anyway because the topic came up: Valerie is a bitch and a half to fight and you will lose 99% of the time.
Given she’s partially meta aware, and shopkeepers in all games are by default, difficult or nigh impossible to kill, Valerie already has fighting skills from being a protective delinquent.
It started with literally beating back bullies on the playground for Vera. First it started rather tame because a child can’t do too much harm, even with claws. You get into middle school and kids are more cruel. So Valerie responded accordingly: beat the shit out of them to teach a lesson. No one messed with an Oberlin and she was going to make damn sure of it. This lead her to many out of school suspensions, but she often snuck back into school grounds just to make sure her sister was okay. She learned how to keep ahead of school work so she couldn’t be held back a grade for her behaviour. It all stemmed from wanting to keep Vera safe.
After school for when you were a solo renegade that beat the crap out of the school bullies was a lawless landscape. Valerie got tough through being gained up on several times, but given her pension for having a wrathful temper, she never actually lost those fights. She considered them all victories for being able to survive ten or so kids who thought they were hot shit, especially with their tail between their legs. Broken bones and cuts were common but she healed afterwards. Valerie lets the adrenaline of a fight get to her head and she just forgets she’s being injured. She shrugs off the pain until it’s all said and done, like she is someone with nothing left to lose.
In Val’s early young adulthood when she was given the freedoms to be out late at night, that is when her fighting skill became somewhat of a legend. Watching out for people in the seedy bars, tossing the low lives out of places trying to be decent lead to street fights. Valerie isn’t afraid to use whatever tactic to win a fight; the real world doesn’t care about rules, it cares if you’re alive or dead. Val always fights some level of dirty, but the dirtier she does, the more she’s aiming to kill. People started to recognize her capabilities and rallied behind her instead of against her; if they were smart.
She is much stronger than she looks. Natural agility and nimbleness come with just being a cat, but she earned her deceptively strong muscles and can wrestle the entire Wolfpack if she so needs to. Her favourite weapon of choice is modified baseball bats, and you can’t swing heads off of shoulders with weak arms. Valerie also keeps herself strong so that she can maintain her duty as the city’s largest gang leader and show she can keep the title. Turf wars she fights in herself and will break bones bare handed with the literal skeletons come out. She will get her hands bloody and dirty, then wash it off in the sink afterwards as a job well done.
Essentially, don’t fuck around and find out with Valerie Oberlin.

Here goes nothing, otherwise known as "the TTW Capitol Wasteland backstory I'm inventing for Danse and Cutler". Junk! Trans backstory! Wasteland idiot pals!
Cutler
Me and him, we're getting out of here.
And it's funny, you know? I figured I was done struggling when I scraped up the caps to buy a marketplace stall at the Rivet City market. A whole-ass moat to protect us from raiders and Super Mutants, security, metal walls bigger than most anything in the wasteland. My hometown never had anything like this.
But they make you pay the thousand caps entrance fee, before you get to see past the surface. All the metal that's falling apart, giving people rust-lung and crumbling away in flakes when you touch the walls. The wheeze of the ship at night, like a monster snuffling. And what they get up to down in the science lab, it isn't all dwarf apples and potatoes.
"You really think the Brotherhood would take us?" Danse asks. He's laying out our makeshift bedding, while I finish closing the stall for the night. Scrap metal is heavy and practically worthless, but at least we don't need to lock up our wares like Cindy or Vera.
"Why not? You've got that in with them, don't you? Your contact?"
He looks embarrassed, which goes cute with the five o'clock shadow he's started growing. "...I'm sorry. I was wrong, it wasn't the real Brotherhood at all. Just one of the Outcasts."
"Oh. Well, can we join them instead?"
"I asked. He said they won't take outsiders, and even if they did I'm too young." He wrestles my pillow out of the duffle, carefully lays it on the brahmin-skin hide. "Which I couldn't exactly argue with."
Poor kid, he's sensitive about being an orphan. I think I'm the only one he's told.
"Well, if they think you look too young they definitely won't take me. Stupid girl face that makes me look fourteen."
"I thought you were talking to Doctor Preston about the hormones? If having a mustache matters that much to you."
"Oh, it does. But- look, you know what? I can stay here in Rivet City, selling metal for people to patch up their rooms, and live and die here like a big fat oyster. Or I can go somewhere I'll make a real difference. North to the Temple, or west to the Citadel, I don't know but I'll find out. Fight for a better world, not just watch while it's happening out there. And hey, if I have to swap my dreams of mustache for a squad that'll make me run across the wasteland carrying my own body weight in ammo and dying to a Deathclaw...well, I'm in for that."
He finishes plumping up his own pillow, crawls underneath the blankets; I settle into mine, a careful six inches away. "That's...I think that's brave of you. I hope I'd be strong like that, if it was a choice between what I wanted and what I believed in."
"Hey, hey. You already did, remember? When I bust my leg in those Mirelurk nests and you practically dragged me out?"
Of all things, he's confused. "What else was there to do?"
"You could have just left me down there and taken my stuff." I still don't know why he didn't. We trust each other now, sure, but that was only our second or third trip out. And he was all but drooling over my laser rifle. "Bonked me on the head if necessary."
"Cutler!"
He really doesn't get it. I don't know how he ever survived the wasteland alone. "Just saying. Whoever gets your gun will be lucky to get all the loyalty you'll give 'em."
"I hope I'll be worthy of it..." He switches off the fusion lamp. "But you know what, Cutler? Whatever happens, you'll still be a guy to me."
I'd like to laugh that off; but I can't quite. Nobody else has ever said that to me.
"...thanks, Danse."
"Thanks for what?"
He's great; but he really is an idiot.

For @ephdraws who requested two different prompts that I confused and wrote as one. Oops? It’s Robin/Death from my Apocalypse Nigh Universe and they are at the beach. Chaos ensues. Literally.
Family Outings
“Exactly how long are we going to stay?” Death asks as he surveys the assortment of items he has helped Robin haul out here, along with the rest of Robin’s family.
They have claimed a strip of the beach, and given the amount of accessories and number of people in their party, he’s also not surprised the other beachgoers have given them a wide berth. He counts no less than a half-dozen coolers, enough chairs for every member of the family, with umbrellas to match, a portable playpen for the toddler, and two rolling wagons overflowing with toys and floaties.
There’s even a tent, which Teddy and Kayla are in the process of wrestling into shape while their Mother oversees and their Father marks out the perfect location for the portable grill.
“Oh, this? Well, we didn’t bring enough to camp overnight, so we’ll probably leave about nine, ten-ish,” Robin says as he spreads his towel over his beach chair and uses clips to keep the wind from blowing it away.
He’s already stripped down to his swim shorts, which are rainbow-striped, tight-fitting, and leave very little to the imagination. They aren’t Speedos, according to Robin, but Teddy had snorted and said they might as well be.
Death, by contrast, is wearing a very sensible pair of shorts that fall to his knees, and a long-sleeved water resistant shirt his sister had reassured him was meant for swimming. His contribution to the beach day trip had been to bring his own towel and a water bottle.
Clearly, he hadn’t understood what Robin meant by “small trip to the beach, just for the day, it’s pretty casual, believe me, you’ll have fun!”
This.
This is not casual.
“Esperance! Emmanuel! Get over here and get some sunscreen before you hit the water!” Robin’s mother hollers, her voice quite clear despite the noise of them apparently moving onto the beach for the day.
“And make sure you get your floaties!” Teddy shouts before he curses and digs in the sand for something he must have dropped. “Robin, keep an eye on them, please,” he throws over his shoulder.
Robin rolls his eyes, turns his head and shouts, “Opal! Watch the kids!”
“I’m busy!” Opal, Robin’s sister barks. She’s perched in a beach chair, glasses on, sunhat on, umbrella pulled low, with a book in her lap. And as Death watches, she primly inserts a set of ear buds and proceeds to ignore her entire family.
“So am I!” Robin shouts back before he smiles at Death and takes Death’s towel from his unresisting hands. “This is really your first time at the beach?”
“I have been on beaches,” Death says as he watches Robin lay out the towel and pin it into place as well. “But not to enjoy them.”
Robin rakes his hand through his hair. “What was it? Some kind of trash clean-up?”
Death does his best not to think about June 6th, 1944. “Something like that,” he hedges and waves away the memories. “Your family likes to be prepared, I see.”
“Yeah, that’s Mom’s influence.” Robin tugs Death over to his chair and urges him to sit. “She’s all about having contingency plans for her contingency plans.” His eyes narrow as he looks Death -- or Tristan for that matter -- up and down. “Dude, you are so pale. I’m going to have to slather you in sunscreen.”
Death cannot burn, but Tristan should be protected. “I didn’t bring any unfortunately. It seems I am very ill-prepared for this.”
“No sweat. I’ve got you covered.” Robin grabs the bag he’d tucked under his own chair and rifles through it, tossing out several random bottles, a book, a flattened sphere of rubber, three granola bars, and a spare pair of sandals. “Ah. Knew it was in here somewhere.”
He emerges triumphant with a bottle of something labeled SPF 50. “Are you going to wear that shirt the whole time?”
“I can’t swim in it?” Death asks. He thought he’d chosen an average, appealing shape, but he feels as though he pales in comparison next to Robin.
“Well, you can if you want to. I just thought you might get hot.” Robin grins and kneels on the beach chair behind Death, carefully balancing his weight. “But if you’re not comfortable baring that much skin, it’s fine. I should still get the back of your neck though.”
“I see.” Death obediently tips his head forward as there’s a squelch of something liquid behind him.
“Oh, and your face and your legs and your hands and the tops of your feet,” Robin continues as the first cool touch lands on Tristan’s nape and he shivers. “Then again, if you burn, I get to take care of you with a nice bottle of aloe vera.”
Death can’t burn. But he may need to pretend to.
“I would prefer not to burn,” he says.
“Yeah, fair. It really sucks.” Robin rests his hands on Tristan’s shoulder and leans around him, face inches away, smelling like coconut and sunshine. “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of you. This is going to be fun.”
Death squints into the distance, where he swears he sees Chaos approaching, with a wide-brimmed sun hat and a brightly colored beach bag slung over her shoulder. She notices him notice her and waves.
“Right,” he says weakly. “Fun.”

for the askmeme. .. top 5 tp and bob ships?
... so, I don’t know if you wanted these as two separate lists of five or a combined five. wrestled with the dilemma (quite nobly, I felt) but ultimately I’m taking it as permission to go all out.
tp
leckie/runner (the lightness belying the tenderness and the horrifying backdrop to it all)
snafu/burgin (they’re outwardly pretty different but there’s such a deep familiarity between them and I like them trolling the new recruits; there’s good angst potential, yeah, but it could also be really fun)
I’d really like someone else to write chuckler/hoosier, I think that might help me find a foothold to go about writing it if that makes sense
sid/eugene (neither of them is exactly a favourite character but I accept sledge as a hopeless gay; I feel more sympathetic when he’s staring wistfully at phillips. crushing on your friend is a gay rite of passage)
john/manny. d company is underrated
I really like leckie/vera and john/lena but noncanon ships are somehow more fun to discuss for these things. I want a post-episode 3 stella/gwen fic and a post-war au where vera falls in love with lena. I have not started either of these.
h company is my favourite company
bob
liebgott/speirs (accursed otp, dragged me back into fandom. liebgott has a genuine respect for speirs that he doesn’t have for many people, they read each other well, and they work with each other very well. I have a weakness for morally ambiguous power couples and the absolutely trust and loyalty entailed. I’m not sure these two would have limits when they’re together and I want to watch the whole thing. someone’s going to get hurt and it won’t be them)
roe/babe (my “well fuck it I guess I’m a cliché sap” moment. sometimes you just want to watch two people trying to look after each other when it’s all but impossible)
mcclung/toye (wrote it for the hell of it and then accidentally ended up with a situation. I like them individually and I like their onscreen dynamic, and on reflection I think they balance each other quite nicely. toye seems more intimidating than he usually is and mcclung is more formidable than he seems. we stan mutual quiet competence)
lipton/smokey (they’re both very sweet and there’s excellent angst potential. I like juxtaposition and the juxtaposition of their two scenes together is quite heartbreaking; a+)
I have a small soft spot for buck/luz (probably because of the darts scene. and the later swan dive into darkness and grief. they both care so much. you can write their relationship very light-hearted or very tragic, or from one extreme to the other! ideal)
platonic ot4: grant, liebgott, mcclung & babe circa tlp
I’m also a fan of the “draw two names from a hat and ponder the results” style of relationship writing.

My expectations for UFC 252 tomorrow
Miocic-DC 3: Stipe will find a win despite himself in a fight that is just as entertaining and dumb as the first 2 were.
Chito Vera vs O’Malley: O’Malley wins the first 7-8 minutes, possibly even knocking Chito down early but Chito rallies and wins the last minute or so of the 2nd and takes the 3rd outright. O’Malley wins a UD that is seen as controversial by people who either hate his hype or love Chito.
JDS-Rozenstruik: JDS is basically in his late career Fedor stage. No jab, no set-ups, just SWANGING that right hand over the top. I see a late stoppage for Rozenstruik if he doesn’t get KOed throwing naked leg kicks.
Dodson-Dvalishvilli: this is one of my favorite style match up: crafty counter punching vet with elite TDD vs cardio machine wrestling wrecking ball. I think Merab is going to give Dodson the type of fight he needs to win and win big, but Dodson is getting old. If he get Merab out of these in the first, I wonder if he just shuts off for the rest of the fight and loses his workrate. Still taking Dodson.
Burns-Pineda: I think Pineda is the first dude to get signed off back to back no-contest wins but desperate times I guess. I honestly don’t have a read on this one cause I haven’t watched any film on either guy. Picking Burns because I think Pineda will engage for too long in grappling exchanges with him.

IF THEY HAD A KID MEME BUT THE OTHER KIDS OF JORDAN AND DANI BC U MAKE ME FEEL STUFF!!! AND I WANNA SEE THEIR FAMILY
If They Had a Kid Meme : Jordan Caswell && Danielle Cage ( SINCE SHE WANTS ALL OF THE KIDS )
Name: Noah Jordan Caswell
Gender: Male
General Appearance: Noah has Dani’s brunette hair and Jordan’s eyes. His fingers are usually filled with calluses due to the fact that he is writing so many songs, while playing the piano constantly in his room. He has one ear piecing ( that neither parents know about and was done on a dare, but still hasn’t closed up just yet ). No scars, but just the occasional black and blue mark from wrestling with Anthony every now and then.
Personality: If you could take Jordan and Dani and blend them together, you’d get Noah. He has Jordan’s wit and charm, and has Dani’s laid back behavior. At times he can overthink certain things, but chooses to live in the moment and take each opportunity as it’s presented to him. Noah hangs around a more popular crowd, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t mingle with other,  especially who his siblings hang around. He’s very overprotective over the both of them, especially Anthony. He has gotten into the occasional scuffle, but stands by his reasons.
Special Talents: Noah has a beautiful singing voice, but refuses to let anyone in his family actually hear him sing. The only time that anyone has heard him sing or seen him dance was in some high school theater productions, but if one of his siblings or parents asks him to sing on the spot, he refuses. Deep down he has these big dreams of being an actor or singing in front of a large crowd, but knows that the odds aren’t in his favor, especially just being a high school student. At the moment those dreams are on hold, but he hopes to make them come true one way or another.
Who they like better: Even though he does love both parents equally, Noah does spend more time with Dani and is around her more often. He tags along to work with her every now and then just to spend some time with her when he’s done school. He also has a very close relationship with both of his siblings and as the eldest brother knows that there is a lot of weight on his shoulders. Never once did Dani or Jordan make him feel like he was the ‘man’ of the house but knows that he has to set a good example, and thankfully Dani helps him out with that.
Who they take after more: Noah also has a bit of sass in him ( not as much as Anthony ) that he gets from Jordan, but has received Dani’s hopeless romantic side. While he’s not writing love letters to significant others, he’s bouncing ideas off of his mother to try to get the best way to get his crush to notice him. He also has his head in any romantic novel that he could find ( Dani is guilty of buying him one too many ) due to the fact that he had grown up seeing how in love both of his mothers were, causing him to long for a love like that as well. All he wanted was for someone to love him just like Jordan and Dani, and he hopes one day to find his soulmate like that.
Personal Head canon: The first fight Noah had ever gotten in was on the first day of eighth grade. Anthony was starting school as well and was a couple grades lower than he was, but still attended the same school. A group of kids were picking on Anthony due to the fact that not only he had two moms, but that he was also adopted which caused Noah to step in. Even though both of his parents told him that violence never was the answer, too many horrible things were said causing him to think with his fists first rather than his head. It ended up with him in detention both Dani and Jordan rushing out of work to come pick him up. Even though they told him what he did was wrong ( Dani was over the moon that Noah stood up for himself since she would have done the same thing ) the whole little family went out for some ice cream in hopes to push everything behind them.
Face Claim: Jordan Fisher
Tumblr media
If They Had a Kid Meme : Jordan Caswell && Danielle Cage
Name: Anthony David Caswell
Gender: Male
General Appearance: Anthony looks nothing like either of his parents due to the fact that he was adopted by the Caswell’s when he was just a year old. After trying time and time again and having no luck, Jordan and Dani decided to go down the adoption route. He has dark brown hair along with brown eyes, no piercings as well as no scars ( there might be a couple of bruises from wrestling with his older brother a bit ). He is slightly muscular from working out and playing various sports.
Personality: Anthony has no problem with being the loudest in the room and drawing as much attention to himself as possible. He loves trying to be the ‘class clown’ and doing whatever it takes to make his siblings and his parents laugh, even though it does cause him to get into some trouble from time to time. He’s hyper and active, and even though he cracks one too many jokes, he doesn’t have any problem with helping anyone out. If Jordan or Dani needed help unpacking groceries, Anthony would do it without any hesitation and would do it unasked. He doesn’t take anything for granted due to the fact that his life didn’t start out easy to begin with.
Special Talents: Anthony is very skilled at any sport he picks up, specifically baseball. He’s been playing ever since he was little and found a great passion for the game. That, and he also loves the support from his family at every single game he plays, both home and away. It means the world to him to just have them there watching him play, which makes him try even harder to make them proud.
Who they like better: Anthony doesn’t particularly have a favorite parent since in his eyes, both of them got him out of the horrible place he was staying out and brought him into their lives. He does have a couple more things in common with Dani rather than Jordan, but he does love the both of them pretty equally. He also spends a little more time with Dani due to her taking him to various practices, but the whole Caswell crowd shows up to each and every one of Anthony’s games to cheer him on.
Who they take after more: Anthony has Dani’s wit and Jordan’s slightly sassy responses all balled into one. He’s quick on his feet like both of his parents and isn’t shy to push his siblings buttons from time to time just became he can. He’s overprotective a bit like Jordan and when it comes to younger sister Vera he makes sure that no one messes with her at school. He has gotten into a couple of fights like Dani, but nowhere near as may as she ever participated in.
Personal Head canon: Ever since they brought Anthony home, he has had night terrors about little pieces of his past. Both Dani and Jordan let the little boy sleep right in the middle of the two of them ( of course Noah had to join as well ) and this lasted until the boy was eight years old. It was such ha hard time to get him to sleep in his own bed, and it broke Dani and Jordan’s heart to have to have him sleep alone when he got too scared, but both parents every now and then would sneak into his room and lay on the floor until he fell asleep. Every now and then if he gets too scared and can’t fall asleep, even at this age, Jordan and Dani slowly find their way into his room, just so lay on the floor and be there for him until he can fall asleep.
Face Claim: Noah Centineo

Mia and Cal walked into the crowded Full Moon. The bar was packed. No pun intended. Rowdy members of the pack were drinking, playing darts, or watching a particularly violent arm-wrestling match. Cal could only vaguely smell the wolf who had ransacked his house. He wasn’t at the bar now, but he had been there recently. Cal loudly cleared his throat in order to get the pack’s attention. A few people looked at him then went back to what they were doing. “Can I have everyone’s attention?” Cal said in an authoritative, albeit quiet, tone. He wasn’t one to yell.
“Everyone, shut up!” Mia yelled. The bar immediately grew quiet. Cal looked at his girlfriend with pride in his eyes. To think that might’ve been his future wife…
“Thank you, Mia,” Cal said. Mia smiled at him. Cal looked back at the bar’s patrons. “Earlier this afternoon, my house was ransacked. I want to know who did it.” The crowd began to whisper and mumble amongst themselves.
“How do you know it was one of us, boy?” an older werewolf with a long scar down his face demanded.
“I can smell it,” Cal said, his nose flaring.
“Well, I don’t know who it was,” the same werewolf said.
“Who even cares?” someone in the back of the room groaned. “I’m here to drink not figure out why pretty boy’s house got trashed.” A few people laughed at that, causing Mia to narrow her eyes.
“Shut up, you sons of bitches,” Octavia said, coming into view. Despite their problems, Mia respected Octavia and how she (usually) kept the pack in line. “One of our own was targeted.”
“He’s not one of our own,” a man not much older than Cal said. He didn’t look or smell familiar to Cal. “He doesn’t even want to be Alpha.”
“Y'all being ridiculous,” a woman named Penny said. She’d been a bartender at The Full Moon for as long as Cal could remember. Cal remembered going to the bar with his father as a kid and having to be driven home by Penny because his father drank too much. “We’ve known Calvin since he was in diapers. He’ll always be pack.”
“Thank you, Penny,” Cal said. The elderly woman winked at him.
“Enough with this touchy feely shit,” a werewolf named Terry said. He stood up and walked over to Cal. He was so close to him that their noses were practically touching. Cal thought his breath smelled like expired raw meat. “You insulted all us when you said you didn’t wanna be Alpha. The last thing we gonna do is help you and your lil’ girlfriend.” Mia glared at Terry who was a good foot taller than her.
“I’m not asking for your help,” Cal said. “I’m warning you to stay away from my family.”
When Cal and Mia got home, they were surprised to see three extra cars parked in their driveway. Standing outside their cottage were Nik, Vera, and Katherine. “Did you invite them?” Cal asked Mia.
“No,” Mia said, shaking her head. The couple got out of Cal’s Jeep and walked over to their friends. “Hey. What are you guys doing here?”
“We came to help out,” Katherine said. She raised up a red toolbox. “I brought tools.”
“And I brought cleaning supplies,” Vera said.
“I brought my winning smile,” Nik said, flashing Cal and Mia a weak smile. They all laughed.
“Thanks, guys,” Cal said. “It means a lot.”
“What are friends for if not to clean up your house after it’s ransacked by either a bear or a mythological creature?” Nik said.
“It’s the latter,” Mia said.
“Really?” Katherine asked.
“It was someone from the pack,” Cal said.
“What?” Vera gasped.
“You’d really think they’d go that far?” Nik asked.
“Sadly, yes,” Cal said with a sigh.
It took the five of them all day and night to clean up the cottage. Donny was noticeably absent.
Mia and Cal were laying in their bedroom. Both were exhausted from a day of intimidation and cleaning. Cal’s strong arms were around Mia’s torso as her head rested on his warm chest. Mia was surprised at how safe she felt in Cal’s arms despite the tumultuous day they’d had. “Do you think Donny’s right?” Cal asked just as Mia was about to drift off to sleep.
“About…?”
“Becoming Alpha,” Cal said. “Should I just do it?” Mia was wide awake now. She sat up and looked Cal straight in the eyes.
“No,” she said firmly. “You can’t let them bully you into becoming Alpha.”
“I know,” Cal sighed. “I still can’t believe Donny said me being Alpha is what Mom would’ve wanted. He’s too young to remember this, but she hated that my dad was in the pack. It turned him cruel. He never hit her or anything, but he was always drinking and yelling at her. Donny still puts him on a pedestal. The whole pack does.”
“Donny’s just a kid. He’ll learn,” Mia said.
“Hopefully,” Cal said. “The last thing I want is for him to turn out like Dad.”
“He won’t,” Mia said, taking Cal’s hand. She brought it up to her lips and kissed it. “Not when he has you.” Cal smiled softly.
“Thanks, Mia,” he whispered.
Mia walked into the cottage. She had just gotten back from the grocery store. Cal was planning on making gumbo for dinner. Mia shut the front door and noticed how quiet it was. “I’m home!” Mia called out. She didn’t get a response. She frowned and walked into the living room. Her eyes widened, and she dropped the groceries. The living room was completely destroyed. Every inch of the room was covered in blood. In the center of the room was Cal’s body… or parts of it at least. One of his arms was on the couch, and another was in the fireplace like a wooden log. Mia let out a terrified scream. Cal’s eyes popped open, seemingly staring into Mia’s soul.
“Help me,” he croaked.
Mia awoke with a start. She sat up and looked at Cal who was still fast asleep. Not wanting to wake him up, she quietly got out of bed. Mia walked into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water. She sat at the table as she started to cry. After her first encounter with a bloodwraith, Mia started having nightmares. She had hoped they’d go away after defeating Thomas, but she was wrong. “Mia?” she heard a voice ask, causing her to jump. She turned around and saw Cal standing in the doorway. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” she croaked. Cal frowned.
“You’re crying,” he said. He walked over to the table and sat down across from her. “What happened?”
“Just a nightmare,” Mia said before sniffling.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Cal asked. Mia shook her head. The last thing she wanted was to give Cal another reason to worry about her.
Mia wasn’t able to go back to sleep that night. She spent most of the night just staring at Cal. She was afraid that, if she closed her eyes, he’d disappear.
Wanting to feel useful, Mia made Cal and Donny breakfast that morning. Cal was the cook in the family, but Mia wanted to do something to prove her worth. Most days, she felt useless. She hadn’t had a job since coming to New Orleans. She wanted to work, but, some days, just getting out a bed was a challenge. Cal hinted at the fact she may have been depressed, but, truthfully, Mia was just exhausted.
The family of three was sitting at the kitchen table, eating the pancakes and sausage Mia had made. Mia knew the sausage was a little burnt, but Cal insisted it was the best he’d ever had. “So, what are everyone’s plans for the day?” Cal asked.
“The pack is having a meeting about you,” Donny said.
“Ah,” Cal said, feeling more than a little uncomfortable.
“I’m going to tell them to fuck off,” Donny said. Cal raised one of his eyebrows, surprised by his brother’s change of heart. “I saw what they did to Mom’s curtains. They’re nothing but a bunch of bullies.”
“Thanks, kid,” Cal said. Donny groaned as Cal tousled his hair. Mia saw her phone light up on the table. She picked it up and saw that Nik had texted her.
Nik: Rook, when are you getting the rest of your shit out my house? You left some clothes.
Mia: I left those for you!
Mia: Kidding. They're not your size. I’ll swing by later.
After breakfast, Mia drove to Nik’s apartment. She was happy to get out of the cottage. She needed a change of scenery.
Mia knocked on Nik’s door. He opened the door. “Hey, rook,” he said.
“Hey,” Mia said, smiling at him. She walked into the apartment and sniffed the air. It smelt like burnt toast. “Let me guess. You tried to make breakfast?”
“Oh, like you’re any better,” Nik teased. Mia laughed. He had a point there. “How have you been?”
“I’m fine,” Mia lied smoothly.
“Okay, so you’re doing shitty,” Nik said. Mia sighed. She really was. “You know you can trust me, right?”
“Of course I know that. I just don’t like talking about my feelings,” Mia said. She never had. She didn’t like feeling vulnerable.
“Come on, Mia. Just tell me what’s wrong,” Nik said. Mia sighed.
“I’ve been having a lot of nightmares,” she said.
“Join the club,” Nik said. “It’s a side effect of encountering America’s Most Wanted.”
“Don’t they make you feel weak?” Mia asked.
“Of course they do,” Nik said.
“Does anything help?” Mia asked.
“Taking control,” Nik said. “Hunting monsters and making the world a safer place.”
“See, I wish I could do something like that,” Mia said with an exasperated sigh. “I think I would feel so much better if I could do what you and Katy do.”
“Who said you can’t?” Nik said. “I think you’d be a hell of a nighthunter.”
“Really?” Mia asked, somewhat skeptically. She had defeated Thomas, but that was because she had her father’s powers.
“Yeah,” Nik said. “You’d need some training, but you’d be learning from the best.”
“So, Katherine’s going to train me?” Mia joked.
“Ha ha,” Nik deadpanned. “Seriously though, I think you’d be great at it. Let me know if you’re interested.”
When Mia got home, Cal was chopping wood in the yard. He was shirtless and covered in sweat. It was times like these Mia was thankful they didn’t have neighbors. Mia let out a wolf whistle. Cal turned around and grinned. He put down his axe. “Looking good, Mr. Lowell,” Mia said, walking over to him. He chuckled.
“Thank you, Ms. Jameson,” Cal said. “How was Nik’s?”
“Good,” Mia said.
“He’s not falling apart without you?” Cal joked.
“Of course, he is,” Mia said. Cal laughed.
“You seem to be in a better mood,” he said.
“Yeah, I am,” Mia said. “Nik and I talked, and he offered to train me to be a nighthunter.” At that, Cal’s body tensed up. He frowned.
“Really?” he said.
“Yeah,” Mia said. “I don’t want to sit around anymore. I want to do something good.”
“There’s plenty of good things you can do that don’t involve chasing homicidal monsters,” Cal said.
“Okay, sure, I could volunteer at the animal shelter or read to kids at the library, but I want to do something bigger,” Mia said.
“I don’t know,” Cal said, biting down on his lip. “I’m just not sure this is a good idea.”
“Who asked you?” Mia snapped. She didn’t mean to snap, but she was tired of how overprotective everyone was of her.
“Mia, relax,” Cal said. “I just want you to be safe.”
“I know, Cal, and that’s the problem!” Mia said. “You, Katherine, and Vera all act like I’m some porcelain doll!”
“Okay, you’re right,” Cal said, holding up his hands. He didn’t mean to be so overprotective, but he was afraid. He was afraid of losing the best thing to ever happen to him.
“You okay?” Mia asked softly, noticing Cal’s eyes were starting to become teary.
“Yeah,” Cal said. “Just worried. I know I shouldn’t be, but-“
“I don’t mind that you’re worried. I just want you to trust me,” Mia said. “Like I trust you to handle the pack.”
“Which is why you let me go alone yesterday,” Cal teased.
“Okay, so we both have things to work on,” Mia quickly said. Cal chuckled. “I shouldn’t have yelled at you. I’m sorry.” Cal put his arms around her and kissed her. “I love you… even though you smell like a wet dog right now.”
