Urokodaki: Where's Sabito?
Tanjiro: Doing stuff.
Urokodaki: I don't like the sound of that. Where's Giyuu?
Tanjiro: Trying to stop Sabito from doing the stuff.
Urokodaki: Makomo?
Tanjiro: Trying to stop Giyuu from stopping Sabito from doing the stuff.
Urokodaki: I see. And what are you doing here then?
Tanjiro: I'm supposed to stop you from stopping Makomo from stopping Giyuu from stopping Sabito from doing the stuff.

Wake Up, Sleepyhead! (Demon Slayer)
Tumblr media
Hi hello I don't really have anything to say alongside this so here's some Sabito and Giyu in their training years for your reading pleasure kajrkjeakjrjke
Summary: Sabito is too tired to get up on his own, so Giyu decides to help him out.
Cloud 9 (Taglist Peeps):
@myreygn @thatbigbisexual29 @duckymcdoorknob @wolfyeatstacos @gladdygirl18 @baby-tickles2022 @cupcake-spice13 @backy-san @t-wordiiish @sarahmaystock5578 @rachi-roo @mystwrites @chibisstuff @imjusthere07 @giggly-toybox
“Sabito, please wake up.” Giyu whispered to his friend, gently nudging the scarred boy. It was nearly mid morning- Master Urokodaki had told the boys to meet him at the training field by early afternoon.
“Mmmm...five more minutes…” Sabito groaned, rolling on his back, yawning dramatically. Normally getting out of bed in time for training was easy. However, some days were harder than others; where the sheets smelled clean and the futon was just too warm to crawl out of.
Today was one of those days.
“Sabito...Master Urokodaki is gonna be mad if we miss it.” Giyu shook him gently once more, his voice growing more urgent. “You remember what happened last time we skipped!”
Of course he remembered. How could he forget? Last time they were late to training, Master Urokodaki chased them down and tickled them to tears, promising an even more “deadly” threat if they missed again. Sabito could almost feel those fingers drilling into his ribs and sides, leaving him breathless and giggly.
Still, it was really cute watching Giyu get destroyed alongside him.
“Mmm...I’ll take my chances…” Sabito snoozed, flopping onto his side and burying his face into his pillow, letting himself start to fade off into dreamland once more.
“Sabito!” He could hear the pout in the other’s voice. Giyu always had the cutest expressions. When silence followed the other’s cry, Sabito assumed he had given up and went off to training. He let his eyes fall shut in silent victory-
Only to feel a new weight climb upon him, Giyu’s voice suddenly right beside his ear. “Last chance. Get. Up.”
Sabito blinked, grey eyes opening and locking onto blue ones. “You wouldn’t.”
Giyu raised a brow, face unmoving. “Oh I dare.”
They were in a standoff, Sabito weighing his options as Giyu watched him. A familiar stubborn light danced in those blue eyes, his unspoken threat clear: Get up or I’ll make you get up.
There was a standoff. Eventually, the other rolled onto his back, raising his hands threateningly. “Giyu...I know what you're thinking, and if you decide to go through with it, I’ll have no choice but to return the fahahahahhahahvor!” Sabito burst into giggles, arms immediately coming down to his sides as Giyu’s nimble fingers dug into his waist, kneading and squeezing along the skin there.
“Come on, Sabito! Get your lazy butt out of bed!!” Giyu giggled, delighted at how fast he could get his friend laughing. Sabito, for all his bravo, was just as ticklish as him. Their matches always ended in a stalemate of some kind. But not today! Today he was going to get Sabito up!
“Whohohohohoohooohoho yohoohoohohohohohu cahahahhahhaallihihihihiihhing lahhahhahhahazy? Yohohohohoohohu dihihihihihiihihidn’t geheheehhet uuhuhuhuhuhp ehihihiihhiihhiihihther!” His giggles turned to shrieks of laughter when Giyu shot his hands up his sleepshirt, digging into his ribs and belly like there was no tomorrow. “Yhohohoohohoohohou’re hahahahhahahahhahands ahhhahahahahhrahahre cohohohoohohohohld!”
“They are, aren’t they?” Giyu’s tone held a teasy note as he tickled the other. “Warm them up for me? Here’s a good spot!” He shot his hands higher, burrowing into the other’s armpits. Sabito shot his arms down with a squeal, his laughter reaching a new octave as the other went for his worst spots. “GIHIIHIHIHIIIHIHIHIYUUHUHUHUUHUUHU!”
“Are you gonna get up?” The other asked, watching Sabito’s cheeks grow red with mirth, eyes teary with laughter as he flailed and squealed. “Are you gonna go to training?”
“YEHEHEHEHHEHEHHES NOOHOOHOHOHOHOW STAHHAHAHAHHAP!”
The other boy laughed as he did, pulling his hands back and watching as Sabito collapsed with a huff, residue giggles and laughs escaping his lips and filling the air around them. “Ahehahahha….hehehaha...yohoohhure mehehean!” He wheezed, earning a poke to the belly. “Ah! Ohohokay! Nohohot mehehean!”
Giyu smiled softly before climbing out of the futon, looking out their shared window. “Oh! It’s almost noon!” He turned to Sabito, the other already scrambling for his Haori and sword. “Come on! We’re gonna be late!”
“I’m hurrying, I’m hurrying!” Sabito grabbed his mask and tugged on his shoes, racing out the door. As he did, he grabbed Giyu’s hand within his own, pulling him along. “Run! Run run run!”
Giyu did as such, running as fast as he could with Sabito. By the time they made it, it was exactly noon, Master Urokordaki’s red mask gleaming in the sun as he watched the boys fly down the hill. Beside him, Makomo waved happily. “Good Morning, you two!” “Just in time. Though I’d wish you’d come earlier-” His lecture was cut off when Sabito tripped, his feet catching themselves as he rushed down the hill. Still holding Giyu’s hand, the pair shrieked as they went tumbling down the hill, a ball of limbs and fabric rolling along until they reached the bottom.
There were a few groans, Sabito rubbing his head as he tried to untangle himself. “Sabito, Giyu! Are you two okay?” Makomo ran over, their master right on her heels. “Ugh..my head. Oh, Giyu! Are you okay?” His attention immediately went to the shaking boy, his face hidden behind his hair. For a moment, Sabito worried his friend was crying in pain. But then-
“Pffft! Bwahahahhahahahahaha! Sahhhahahabito you’re fahahhahhace!” He giggled, falling over in a fit of laughter. The peach haired boy blinked before he was laughing just as hard, falling to his side as he was lost in mirth.
Above them, they could hear their master struggling not to laugh, which made the boys only cackle more. Makomo tried to hide her giggles, giving up almost immediately. “Ahhahahalright! Ahahalright! Come on, time to train.” Urokordaki gently helped them up, laughing when the Sabito snorted and Giyu wheezed.
The rest of the afternoon was filled with practice and giggles, the boys more than ready to take on the day. Hopefully Sabito won’t sleep in too much from now on.
Thanks for reading!

Demons and Unicorns | {SabiGiyuu}
PICTURES AREN'T MINE IDK IF I MADE THAT CLEAR HELP 😭obv bc the art styles are so different but whtv
Tumblr media
Theme: Fluff (let's pretend the picture isn't angsty-)
Giyuu woke up with a start, sweating, crying. "No.. no no no no no," he mumbled, hyperventilating.
"Giyuu? Wh.. what happened?" Sabito muttered, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
"I.. you.. you and Tsutako.. and Urokodaki-sensei died.. I was too slow.. I.. I couldn't save you.. they tortured you and.. killed you.. Urokodaki-sensei was already dead.. I... he.." Giyuu sobbed, trying to explain.
"It was just a nightmare, Giyuu, don't worry. I'm here, I'm okay. Urokodaki-sensei is in the other room. You're okay. Who is 'they'?" Sabito said, completely ruining the comfort he was giving by asking that.
"Demons.. there was five.. too many.. I couldn't even kill one.. I was too slow.." Giyuu continued, clutching onto Sabito's arm.
"Hey, It's okay! You're okay! Okay??" Sabito repeated. He was alright with pep talks, but comforting when Giyuu was in this much stress? Nah, he couldn't do it. "Uh.. we're alright! I promise!"
"There was blood everywhere.. too much.. on.. on me.. all.. all over.." Tears streamed down Giyuu's cheeks as he tried to calm down. His breath only grew more rapid as he tried. His body shook and he leaned onto Sabito for support.
The peach haired male sat awkwardly, unsure what to do. "I'm.. still here? Don't worry, uhm.. it's okay!" he said again, wishing he was better at this. "Look, you're strong and you can do anything! And you always say I'm strong, right? So I can protect you!"
"No.. but.. you died.. they killed you.. You couldn't move.." Giyuu mumbled, shaking his head. "You died.."
"I'm not dead yet, right! Ahaha.." Sabito forced a nervous laugh.
"Yet!!" the younger one cried out, sobbing harder. "Yet.."
Sabito sighed, patting Giyuu's back. "No, but.. we're okay now, and we're going to live the best we can. Right? We'll do our best through the years we live!! It's okay!! You're okay, I'm okay, we're all okay!!"
Giyuu hiccuped, still crying. He buried his face in the crook of Sabito's neck, trying to breathe slowly. In a desperate attempt to make it better, Sabito quickly said randomly, "The— The unicorns will.. uh.. chase away the demons and make everything better with their magic!! I swear!!"
Giyuu paused, confused. He looked up and his eyes met the lavender ones staring back at him. "What?"
"They'll.. use their magic horns to.. uh.. kill the demons and save us all!!"
Giyuu let out a half-laugh half-sob. "Sabito! They aren't real! And even then, you guys had already died."
"Yeah well, we didn't think demons were real before!! Who knows? Maybe unicorns are real!!" Sabito insisted.
"Sure.."
"And they can use their magic to bring.. uh., bring me and your sister and Urokodaki-sensei back to life! Okay?" Sabito grinned, hugging Giyuu.
"Mm, mhm," Giyuu agreed, incredulously. "You're funny, Sabito."
"Thank you! Ooh, I'm sure they would prance around the room and scare away the demons," Sabito added, trying to get Giyuu to forget about his nightmare. It worked, because the raven laughed and shook his head.
"Oh Sabito," he giggled, pushing him away. "You're being riduculous."
"Well! You like it!" Sabito insisted.
"Mhm, sure."
"Hey, what's that supposed to mean??" Sabito huffed.
"Nothing~!" Giyuu said, smiling widely.
Sabito smiled back. He was glad Giyuu was no longer crying. It was hard to see him like that. Made him want to break down as well sometimes. Jokes always made it easier though. Almost always.
The door opened and Urokodaki poked his head in. "What are you two doing up so late? It must be, like, 2am! Go back to sleep!"
The two quickly apologized and Giyuu cuddled back into his covers. Sabito got up. "I'm going to go get some water, be right back!!"
"Okay!"
Urokodaki followed Sabito out. "What happened?" he asked, once they were out of earshot.
"Giyuu had a nightmare. I didn't know what to say, so I told him that unicorns were going to save us," Sabito shrugged, getting a cup and filling it with water.
"That's- That's ridiculous and genius. Did it work?"
"Yeah, that's why we were laughing." He took a sip of water then set it down.
"Oh I'm glad. He seems to be having less nightmares than before, but still.." Urokodaki fussed, looking worried. After all, they had never been just his students. He'd viewed every single child he took in as his own, caring for them like he was their father.
"Mhm. Oh! What if you dressed up as a unicorn to surprise Giyuu tomorrow? Isn't it nearing his birthday?" Sabito suggested, his eyes lighting up.
"WHAT?? I am not going to dress up as a unicorn!" Urokodaki shook his head. "Why would you even suggest that?"
"Don't you want to make him happyyy??" Sabito insisted.
"Yes but-"
"Great! I'll wake up early and get you one! Thank you, bye!" Sabito said, holding back laughter.
Urokodaki sighed, annoyed, but slightly amused as well. "They're still children.."
Sabito did get Urokodaki a unicorn costume. It was white and had bring neon rainbow colors. Overall, it was.. uncomfortable.  Extremely.
Giyuu woke up a little later than usual. He expected to be reprimanded for it but when he looked around, he just saw Sabito with a tray of breakfast, looking amused.
"Sabito? Huh?" Giyuu was confused, to say the least.
"Nothing, nothing!! Here, have this," Sabito said, pushing the tray of food to him.
"Oh! Thanks," Giyuu smiled, starting to eat.
Suddenly, Sabito burst into laughter, much to Giyuu's confusion. "Huh?"
"L-Look behind you!" he choked between laughs.
Giyuu did and nearly fell over when somebody came running in, dressed up as a unicorn. "SABITO-? WHAT?-" he squeaked, giggling.
"I-IT'S.." Sabito pressed a hand to his chest. "Urokodaki-sensei..!" he laughed.
Giyuu shook his head, his smile growing. "No.. you didn't-"
"Take off the hood!!" Sabito insisted.
Giyuu got up and went to the 'unicorn'. He patted it's head then took it off, stepping back when he found Urokodaki's head poking out of the costume. He burst into laughter again and Sabito did as well, causing Urokodaki to chuckle.
"I guess the unicorns are going to save us, after all!"
