I made a new oc for a rp recently who I happen to ship with Natty, because she fit well and she's literally so sweet and she fucking deserves it.

Look, I get everyone likes Sebastian Sallow and Ominis Gaunt, I get it they're fun characters. But they arent the ONLY characters. You were sat outside with the flowers, it had been a long day and you had lost a lot of patients.

You knew you did your best but guilt still seeped its way into your heart, the plaguing thought of 'What if I could have done more?' eating away at your brain.

You remembered something Nikolai had taught you to do, it didn't fix things but it did help somewhat.

You went and retrieved some paper and a pen before returning to your spot on the flower filled hill, you wrote down all your negative thoughts onto the piece of paper.

Carefully you folded it into a little paper plane and casted it out into the breeze, watching it flutter away before taking a drastic nose dive. Your thoughts carried mostly along with it.

"Darn... I can never get them to fly quite far enough."

You uttered to yourself slightly disappointed as you had hoped it would travel further away, you were snapped out of your thought process at the sound of heavy boots behind you.

"душа моя."

Your head whipped around to look up at him, the term of endearment bringing a small smile to your face.

"Hey, Nik."

"I knew I'd find you out here after today."

You solemnly nodded as he took a seat beside you, he had brought some extra papers. A tired smile on his face as well.

It wasn't long before he had you laughing again, both of you folding and tossing the paper planes out into the world, setting it all free for the universe to claim instead.

He tried to show you a few pointers on how to make the paper planes go farther. Naturally you couldn't resist teasing him.

"Mmm... Perhaps you're better at this then you are at flying helicopters."

"Hey- if you recall I kept everyone from getting blown up."

"Gaz fell out."

"Yeah- but he lived!"

Unpredictable

I have to hand it to Deuce Gorgon. There were several stereotypes I expected his character to fall into. First, he could've been the typical jerk who was popular for who knows what reason. I've seen many of these "cool guys" in shows before, but that's not Deuce. When Jackson is treated like an outcast for being half-human, he's the one to invite the new student to sit with him and Heath. Heck, Jackson is even Heath's cousin, but Deuce invites him over. He's consistently nice to the new students too like how he helped Frankie out when she kept being hit on and felt uncomfortable. Deuce is just a supportive guy in general too, double-dating with Slow Mo and Ghoulia so that the new couple didn't feel so awkward.

Then, there's the surfer guy who's not the brightest. This is even the stereotype that Cleo's family believes, but it's incorrect too. Deuce is laid-back, but he's resourceful like when he thought of ways to get the group from Scaris back to America. On top of that, he's often being a sound of reason for their group. Like when when he saw through Cleo trying to act like she really wanted to take over the human half of the city and knew she was actually trying to impress her family. He's that for Clawd too, keeping him calm when the werewolf is certain that Draculaura is going to leave him for someone else.

Finally, there was the option that Deuce would have only been Cleo's boyfriend to keep up appearances because both of them had a high status in school. That's not the case in the slightest. Deuce cares so much about Cleo. Although they have had a few breakups, it's not because of him causing them to have a toxic relationship. The only time he broke up with her, he did it because he thought that he was holding her back and wanted her to be happier than he believed she would be with him. I think it's really interesting too how in all the time we've gotten to know Deuce, that is when he seems insecure. It's neer about anything else except when he wants to make sure Cleo is with the person she deserves.

It makes me sad because I don't feel like any version since the OG Monster High has gotten Deuce right. He's cool, a rebel, laid-back, caring, friendly, level-headed, and resourceful. He's a great friend, a leader in the school, and boyfriend. The guy deserves some more respect and way more screentime in my opinion.
