I've never actually played Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon but...

I fucking love Necrozma

At first glance, it's.....an edgy prism monster? Absorbs light? Design's a bit awkward tbh BUT THERE'S SO MUCH MORE!! This thing is the agonised, partially reconstructed remains of another dimension's god of light!! It's torso is a fucking skull, its legs protrude from nostril holes, its unwieldly arms are huge feet stuck to the ends of frail wings!! It was once a dragon which shone with a blinding light, which illumined its home dimension, but the people there sought to control that light and in doing so destroyed it, wounding Necrozma and plunging their world into darkness

Necrozma absorbs light because it's driven by the single minded goal of regaining its true form!

Which is why it chases after and attempts to assimilate the emissaries of the sun and moon! In the hope that it can use their light to reconstitute itself! And yes, using the light of both, it is able to

It's still clearly incomplete, but it almost doesn't matter, what's missing is filled in with raw power!

LOOK AT THIS THING! It's Beautiful, shining golden crystal bathed in liquid light, it's like a star in beast form, a dragon of plasma!

Speaking of Pokemon going hard, this thing is an absolute nuzlocke ender! An uncharacteristically extreme super boss for a series that usually gets criticised for being too easy

Also, you hear that theme?????? Holy fuck - Epic - Glorious - Majestic - Terrifying - Melancholic?...O-oh Yes, melancholic Because, despite everything, this refound glory is fleeting. This is a transformation, not an evolution, and fundamentally Necrozma is still not complete, you can only fill in the cracks with stolen energy for so long

(Note this animation apparently gets cut off in-game before you get to properly see it? This footage is from a BDSP mod hednjd) Canonically the player character wins that battle, and if you catch Necrozma we see that its ultra form is a temporary transformation, so one way or another that taste of glorious, beautiful, shining completeness is fleeting. ' - ' Necrozma is still incomplete, but for a moment you see the light of what once was,,,,,idk!??! that's kinda rad, kinda wild, I feel bad for this creature??? Like, isn't there something so fundamentally relatable about, knowing your potential, knowing the version of yourself that you're supposed to be, striving to be that version of yourself at all times, but only getting to feel that power for a brief moment, when everything falls into place?

It's implied that the Z crystals (items which allow Pokemon access to once a match special moves) are all shards of Necrozma's original body...Even though the original, full, Necrozma is gone, the embers of its power are spread far and wide

In conclusion: I just really like Necrozma c: it's a very specific mix of - powerful - beautiful - cosmic - devine - tragic - melancholic - and trans probably that just speaks to me ; 0 ;

Record of Ragnarok x Pokemon Trainer!Reader?

Maybe she ends up in the ROR universe or the other way around, but either way I just think it'd be interesting if she tries to explain her world to everyone and just throws out a this tiny, cute pokemon, making the ROR characters not take her seriously at first, but then she just throws out pokemon like Mew, Kyogre, or heaven forbid, Arceus himself, casually saying these were the gods of her world.

I quite literally been trying to make a post about this before so this is fantastic for me also yes a ror request whoo! Also yes with the reader having powerful and god like Pokémon along with cute Pokémon.

It felt too crowded with four legendaries with three being bigger than one of them so I had to switch out giratina for a starter, hope that’s alright with you 😅😭.

Me and them talked and fill in some things that I had questions about so you might see some things that was left out of the request, this is a heads up if you get confused on that 😁.

This might be focused on the reaction and fighting than anything romantic as I haven’t gotten any requests for them to do this but I will try and make some romantic moments the best I can 😁😅.

Warning: noob author, female reader, possibly some ooc, and others.

Characters: some gods and some humans (romantic, they didn’t fully specify who so I’ll do the ones in my masterlist that i think would be more romantic for the reader), Valkyrie (platonic)

You were visiting alola again after battling in galar and becoming champion there; reason why you were visiting alola again was because you have a relative you want to visit and cause necrozma (solgaleo) wanted to visit where they used to live aagain after so long.

You were just spending time with the ultra beast when you heard the sound of a ultra wormhole opening up from behind you and the next thing you know is that you’re in your space suit that can open by a button and that you’re on the back of necrozma growing past many wormholes with speed that you didn’t know it had as it takes them a while to pick up this speed in the wormhole current.

Next you were falling through as necrozma was forced to go back into their pokeball but some forces you couldn’t see but you could see the struggle they had before going into the pokeball. You screamed even though you know that wouldn’t help as you aren’t sure if you can bring out any capable pokemon at the moment with that force pulling necrozma back into their pokeball and all.

(That’’s just for plot convenience at the moment, it most likely won’t appear here anymore, y’know like a one time thing.)

You felt yourself get caught by a pair of what seem to be strong arms with how muscular they are, you trailed your eyes up and met red tinted glasses eyes, you fainted seconds later because of all the adrenaline finally settling down and because of the hot male that caught you.

(Honestly who wouldn’t for Buddha lol)

When you finally woke up you noticed that you were in bed, at first you thought that you were dreaming all of that in a lucid dream but then began to notice the difference between this room and your room back in your time.

Your train of thought was interrupted by the door to this room opening and in came a tall woman with dark blue hair and from what you could tell by the distance between you two, green eyes.

“I’m glad to see that you’re awake, as i would like to discuss something with you if you don’t mind.” The woman says as she watches you sit up on the bed. “But first lets introduce ourselves, seeing as we might be working together from now on if you agree to a favor i would like to ask of you.”

“Ok……” I hesitantly agree wondering where this was going.

“My name is brunhilde and i would like your assistance on helping save humanity from being destroyed by the gods.” The woman now known as brunhilde introduced and explained the favor to you.

“My name is (Y/n)… and about that favor, can i have some time to think about it, y’know with how it’s a lot to take in and with how big the favor seems to be?” You asked wondering what world you’re in for humanity to be pushed to extinction if they don’t win this supposed battle of gods vs humanity.

“Of course, i understand, when you decide come find me in the meeting room.” Brunhilde quickly exit completely forgetting that you don’t know this place like she does and you don’t know where that is.

“He! Wait where is that?!” You tried to call out to her and get her to tell you before she left but seems she already died making you sigh before doing what you said you were going to do until later though that train of thought was quickly broken but something being dropped on your chest.

You uncovered your eye with the arm you previously placed over them to think and see big blue eyes and a pink short furred cat staring right back at you while their tail is swishing back and forth almost expecting something from you……. Until it hit you, quite literally as the creature you know as mew bap’ed their paw at you and you realized what they wanted.

“Fine~….. but after that no bothering me until later, ok? I need to think about this favor brunhilde asked of me.” You got a nod before going through the bag that was on the desk that was next to the bed you were on, and thankfully everything seems to still be in their original place in it anyway back to the task at hand, mew had wanted you to get the poke treat you always make for them and the others, your parent taught you the recipe for these things and like always it was all of your Pokémon’s favorite which doesn’t surprise you as the recipe was all Pokémon’s favorite, and of course there were different flavors for any pokemon with a different taste bud.

You decided to take a walk outside to get a clear head as the room was becoming too stuffy even though it was a really big room and it took many steps to even get to the door of it.

The place you ended up next was what most likely be the garden for this place you appeared in, while walking around there you spot a male laying down on the green grass that you know all grass type would enjoy running around in.

The male looked strangely familiar with the glasses and hair but you can’t quite place where you might’ve seen from though you guess you’ll know soon enough as when you went to get a closer look you seem to have woken the sleeping man up as the next thing you knew was that you hear a deep voice call out.

“Staring is rude, y’know.” You jumped, startled at the sudden noice breaking your concentration and began to panic while trying to push out an apology.

“S-sorry! You just seemed so f-familiar and i wanted to figure o-out why a-and—” you were cut off by what seems to be a lollipop being pushed into your mouth, and the lollipop you previously sen in his mouth is gone as well……. It didn’t take you long to figure out where that lollipop has gone to which made you blush up a storm and started to look like a (Pokémon name) with how bad you blushed at the indirect kiss you two basically shared.

“Calm down or you’l faint again.” he says which got me thinking on how he knew I fainted before unless…..

“You’re the one that catched me!” I finally figured out who he was and accidentally yelled out a bit as i finally could thank the one who catches and saved my life from that long fall.

“So you finally remember, huh?”

The male introduced himself as Buddha which i responded with my own introduction as well. He soon asked what you were doing here when you’re human and should be in the human realm which you quickly explained your predicament as he thought you fell from their version of human realm by accident and was already ack to your human life after you woke up.

“Well you see, technically I’m from another universe or dimension where there’s these creatures called pocket monster, or pokemon for short, and while hanging around at one of the places i visit to have some alone time, a wormhole opened and one of my pokemon had decided that it was time to go on an adventure again like when i was younger but when getting close to the end of the portal my pokemon was forced back into their pokeball and you know what happened next… sorry about that by the way.”

“Mmm, it’s fine, though you can show me one of these pokemon you have on you.” Buddha says which was alright with you and you guess he got curious on what one would look like with how you talked about them.

You went through your head on which one to bring out to show him before choosing your sylveon who likes getting attention from you and anybody you deem worthy enough to be your friend.

“This is sylveon, one of my Pokémon that been with me since I started my journey.” You say as you pet your beloved Pokémon.

“She’s cute.” Buddha say which made you laugh a little but quickly noticed how sylveon was reacting to that so you hurried to explain before things get out of hand.

“Actually sylveon is a boy, he gets irritated if you call him a girl, the only time he’s alright is when he goes to use to his advantage.”

After a few more hours of you two spending time together it was time for a leave as you still need to inform brunhilde the decision you picked while with Buddha.

(I’m going to speed this along as it’s already long right now.)

It was a few days after you joined the fight for humanities survival. You’ve met some of the human fighters, all with very different personalities and backgrounds.

The only ones who know about you being from another universe and your Pokémon being with you is brunhilde, her sisters, and Buddha, and even then they only know the normal ones you have not the legendaries you have, reason why you didn’t want to share with the others is because you wanted to surprise them within your round which is like a demonstration of what’s to happen though like the others the round is a death match as well.

The god you were facing was a low god to the others gods and goddesses but still strong enough to take down a normal human……. If you were a normal human, but seeing as you came from another universe entirely makes you no ordinary normal human.

“You should just surrender girly! I wouldn’t want you to accidentally break a nail!! Hahahahaha!!!” At that the god of (???) gained a laugh from the others on his side of this battle, he didn’t get the rise out of you like he was hoping for but instead a sweet, sweet smile that seems to scream danger to him but he tries not to be intimidated by a ‘lowly’ human like you.

You had already sent out a Pokémon before the fight, mew, who was invisible and would appear when you call out to it, but for now you’ll hold back on who you chose to send out, the one you send out is a hisuian zoroark that you caught in the past of sinnoh.

“Zoroark! Use shadow sneak!!” You called out a move for your zoroark to use which allows it to move first. A shadow from zoroark’s shadow goes towards the god which confused him on how you and your beast can do that before starting to feel extraordinary pain which made him tilt his head behind him to see what’s going on back there only to see a shadow looming over him being the culprit yo his pain.

Thankfully for him it ended soon enough but he was still littered with long scratches from the attack.

“How?! How did you do that?! And where did that mangy beast come from?!” He yelled out and basically insulted your Pokémon which irritates you when people get like that but make sure to hold that anger for the finishing blow when the time is right.

“I don’t want to reveal any of my secrets so you’ll just have to wait.” You say which makes the gods like hades, shiva, Loki, Thor, Poseidon only shared a small short glance before looking away uninterested in this fight and what happens to the human female, zeus also shared an interest disgustingly enough.

“Hmm, this human is interesting right hades?” Zeus says, hades doesn’t say anything as he saw the same female alone in the gardens one time and also had a interest with her being there and not in the human realm

On the Norse side there was Loki and Thor along with Odin and the two birds that follow him that Loki likes to tease. “Hmmm~ I wonder what she means by that~ what do you say Thor?~” he got no response from him which made Loki pout.

While they were all talking, the battle continued on until you only had three Pokémon left, coincidentally they were some of the legendaries/mythical from your world which theoretically speaking is basically like the gods from your world.

You thought as long and as hard as you could which was only a second before sending out the big one….. the almighty creator of both humans and Pokémon kind in your world; arceus.

“I’m sorry for acting cocky right now buuut….. you’re about to become nonexistent.”

“Huh? What do you mean? It’s just a Llama! I bet it would be like the others, too! Though I wished you let them stay out so I could kill them and make you see that you’re of no match to us gods!!” That sentence right there irritated both you and arceus and made the both of you look at each and nod before you give out the command to end this bloody fool from his embarrassing ways.

“Arceus, could you please use judgement on this poor fool and end his embarrassment.” You say calmly which receives a ‘gladly’ from arceus through your shared telepathy.

And like that the god before you shatters into green shards, disappearing into the place where humans and gods go to after they die in the afterlife.

Arceus returned to his ball as you silently walk back to your side of the stadium through where you had entered, tired and hungry and ready for a shower after what stress that battle brought you.

All of them were shocked before getting interrupted by a big screen came on in the middle of the battle ground of the stadium, the screen had funny eyes and a grin on its face.

“Hello! I’m rotomdex! The Pokémon you saw winning the battle with (Y/n) was called arceus! The creator of humans and Pokémon in (Y/n) universe!! You see, (Y/n) was transported here from a ultra wormhole opening up! Anyway, I need to go! Bye!!” And with that the screen disappeared leaving many shocked beings, wether they were human or deity.

After that you got swarmed by the other human competitors, all complimenting you in their own little way along with the competitors ally’s and friends/family.

You also gained the interest of some of the gods who want to learn about you more after that display you showed them.

(A/n: finally!!!! I hope you guys like it! I decided to try something new, it’s not a bad way to do things, just know I won’t use it for some of your requests as it depends on what you guys request of me, I also wished I could do more with the characters besides Buddha but I just couldn’t think of anything and because I have favoritism for Buddha, I mean can you blame me? Lol, anyway hope y’all have a wonderful day/evening/night!!!)

but, do you have any hc on Z-moves?

Z-moves are more commonly used in contests than they are in battles due to their flashy nature and the accompanying trainer poses.

The poses are an Alola tradition, but you don't technically have to do them in order to use Z-moves. it is the most fun option though

Scientists are currently unsure of the original of Z-crystals, but it's thought they either come from ultra wormholes or Necrozma.

The name "Z-move" is short for the much longer native Alolan word for it, commonly translated out to "Zenith Move".

Z-moves are one of the easiest powerups for trainers to access. They don't put a strain on Pokemon that needs to be overcome the way megas and g-maxes do (though it does tire them out a bit), and it's more accessible than terastalizing (which only certain people are granted access to).

Z-moves are a bit draining for trainers to use as well, which is why usual battle rules only allow them to be used once per battle.

When new moves are discovered, Alola will sometimes hold island-wise contests to determine a name for them.

If I can be real with y’all a bit, I have a feeling that Indigo Disk might be the last bit of main series Pokemon content on the Switch. It’s obvious that the system is in its twilight years, and it’s not long before the next console inevitably gets announced, but from a conversation that me and @thesmashwaffle had, Indigo Disk has a bit in common with the Ultra games from Gen 7, and that can be applied to both Sun and Moon and Scarlet and Violet as well.

Both games have the following in common.

Battle mechanics involving elemental crystals (Z-Moves and Terastillization).

Groups of strange, otherworldly late-game Pokemon that serve as threats to the regions they’re introduced if left alone. (The Ultra Beasts and the Paradox Pokemon).

Trios of characters that include a spunky rival wanting to get stronger a troubled kid related to a major figure involved with the main story, and a misunderstood recluse standing with a team of band of misfits (Hau and Nemona, Lillie and Arven, and Gladion and Penny).

The aforementioned teams of misfits (Team Skull and Team Star).

The box legendaries being a main part of the games instead of randomly appearing at the end (Nebby and the Raidons).

The champion battles being handled in unique ways (The Alola games having the player be the first champion of the region and defeating the title from other trainers, while SV has the player be one of many champions, along with only fighting against the Pokemon League once).

Third legendary who are involved with the aforementioned battle gimmicks and groups of late-game Pokemon (Necrozma with Z-Moves and the Ultra Beasts, and Terapagos with Terastilizing and the Paradox ‘Mons).

The Indigo Disk has the return of Pokeball throwing styles, which were introduced in the Alola game.

And while things like the return of multiple starters and legendaries might sound like another point to add to the list, a lot of other Pokemon games in recent memory have done that exact thing, so I’m not gonna count it.

Point of the matter is this; In the very same manner that the Ultra games were the main series’ last hurrah for the 3Ds era, it’s very possible that the second half of the SV DLC will be the last content for Pokemon on the Switch. It’s rather obvious that the console is nearing the end of its life, it’s been going on for more than 6 years at this point, and the Indigo Disk has this same air of finality that I haven’t felt since 2017. I say the franchise is about to leave the Switch behind to move on to whatever new console Nintendo has planned.

At the very least, they better not rush out the next game, dammit. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. These things need more time in the oven to be better than what GameFreak’s been cooking with. As much as I’ve had a lot of fun with my copy of Scarlet, I’m more than willing to wait a few years for another Pokemon game. No matter if it’s another generation, a new Legends game, or another remake, I much rather prefer to wait 3 or 4 years for one of these things if it means we get something among the lines of BOTW or Pikmin 4.

With that said, I’m at least ready for Indigo Disk when it drops. Me and the boys have been busy for a while.

You know, one time I did a challenge playthrough in Pokémon Sun and Moon. I continue to try again time and again.

The challenge?

Bounty Hunter challenge.

Basically, how it works is that there are some npcs scattered around the game that will give you money if you show them a Pokémon they request you catch.

And let me tell you, the end game of this team is a team you wouldn’t expect a player to be having.

So firstly, ditch that starter you get. That Rowlet you got? Punt that orb into orbit. That Litten you’re wanting to see turn bipedal? Throw it into the sea. No one is gonna choose Popplio (except me and some other people) so just leave that there. And then wait until you can get to the Pokémon center in the Hau’oli City.

That’s right. If you’re attempting to do this challenge, if you’re playing Sun and Moon, you have to first:

Arrive at Alola

Get your hat and read stuff

Meet Professor Kukui

Follow him up to Iki Town

Save Nebby

Get your starter

Defeat Hau

Do the Pokémon ceremony where you defeat Hau again

Go to Professor Kukui’s lab

Get the Rotom Dex

Go through the Pokémon Trainer School

Get the EXP Share (that you can’t turn off, haha, get mad at a game helping it’s targeted audience, a.k.a. Little Timmy over there, progress in the game)

Arrive at Hau’oli City

Use the photo picture that most players blatantly ignore

And arrive at the Hau’oli City Pokemon Center

Now that you’re fully ready for this Bounty Hunter Challenge, you would already realize that it took you maybe 1.5 hours to start this challenge. And let me tell you, this won’t probably be worth the time to play the games normally.

I say this because if you do this challenge, you literally have 9 Pokémon you can use. Depending on whether you have the base games or ultra, you will either get a team consisting of, in order:

Child Murderer turned blimp or Mr(s). Teleports away (Can’t even get final evolution without trading

An actual fairy or a crab that has a “why” evolution

Don’t be giving this dog a bath or a gem eating gremlin

Sea Landmine or Sexy Lizard

A Weak Fish you can’t evolve if you don’t trade or a piece of coral

A bear to not hug and a slime dragon to give a hug

An ape that’s either a rugby player or lifestyle guru or a bird that’s either a totem pole or just an owl (depending on where you have (ultra) sun or (ultra moon) moon)

The Pikachu clone in the eyes of game freak or a literal asteroid

The actual Pikachu clone the fans deem as one or the Pokémon bane of the Sinnoh Champion

Oh and the Legendary Pokémon you get at the end of the game? Necrozma. Lunala. Solgaleo. Nebby basically. Yeah just boot them into the pc box. Sorry Lillie. I would like to bring Nebby onto my champion team but unfortunately capitalism says otherwise.

So yeah. If you wanna do this challenge to take the vast amount of cool and interesting Pokémon and slim it down to a simple 9 then do this challenge. You’ll make a great profit of 69,000 pokedollars. Real glad you decided to pick your team based of capitalism

Watch Pokemon Legends A-Z eventually disprove everything I say here but oh well, thought I'd share anyway- POKEMON LORE THEORY/HEADCANON!!

Spoilers? Not really, only if you really want to exclusively discover historical events lore FROM within the games.. Which this applies to mainly gen 6-8.. There's a cornflake of gen 9 lore.

30,000 years ago:

Eternatus comes down on the Crown Tundra in Galar, inside a meteor. Eternatus is weak and stays there slumbering. Not much changes about Galar except obviously the crater made by it.

Unspecified time between 30,000 & 3,000 years: A war is waged in the Kalos Region

3,000 years ago:

AZ's Floette is killed in the war in the Kalos region

AZ uses special crystals(tera crystals) from the Paldea region to construct the ultimate weapon, infused with the life force of other pokemon to power it and bring his Floette back to life and granting himself immortality in the process.. but then wanted revenge on those who killed his floette.

the ultimate weapon is detonated for destruction this time, wiping out ANYTHING in its radius, sending shock waves through the earth- massive earthquakes and access amounts of energy released across the land

this energy is passed all the way across the sea and into Galar, being immediately absorbed by the sleeping Eternatus

this causes Eternatus to awaken and go haywire. It starts releasing the newly obtained energy into the land, causing wild Pokemon to grow huge & powerful (dynamax), this is the darkest day

Debris(Pieces of the Ultimate Weapon) are scattered across Kalos, these will become Mega-stones, they are a lot like the Tera crystals of Paldea but infused with power from the pokemon sacrificed for it.

2 young warriors of Galar who are partners to young Zacian & Zamazenta, seek to stop the Darkest Day to end its destruction as giant Pokemon graze their kingdom- with their sword & shield, Zamazenta & Zacian are able to negate Eternatus' power to defeat it, sending it back to its slumber in the the crater from where it came.

these 2 warriors are crowned kings for their heroic actions

However this does not remove the energy released into the earth, and Galar now has its phenomenon that'll become known as "dynamax power". Energy from the ultimate weapon that had been corrupted by Eternatus.

the war in Kalos is promptly ended because almost everything is DEAD

Unspecified time after this:

People of Galar will learn control & even use this energy for their own. Keeping the energy more stable by letting it be absorbed for use as electricity. Although this does very slowly burn away the energy.. and one day it could still run out

AZ's brother buries the ultimate weapon to prevent it from being used again

these strange powerful stones scattered across Kalos will be discovered and polished, then used by trainers in battle as "mega evolution". And slowly start being distributed to other regions(like Hoenn) for use..

And that's my take! The thing with tera crystals being used to make the ultimate weapon might seem like a reach and yeah- it is, I just REALLY wanted all three of these elements to be related in some way and initially was gonna say the crater in Paldea was somehow caused by the weapon but then discovered I guess the crater was canonically created MILLIONS OF YEARS AGO so.. decided to go the other way. And the thing with eternatus absorbing the energy is just cuz nothing I found explicitly says Eternatus had caused dynamax energy in the region since it first fell on Earth..

Btw Eternatus is also an ultra-beast, but z-crystals don't have any relation to these events as they are canonically shards from Necrozma.

There's probably a million little plot-holes to this but ya know.. it's all in good fun :D I think it's neat anyway.

🛸Colress Romantic HCs🥼

🧪 He's heavily invested in his research. It takes him all over the place and leads him to meeting many people. The researcher had long since learnt from the errors of his last and his affiliation with Team Plasma and the despicable Ghetsis. Colress found it only natural that a strong trainer such as yourself would capture his attention, both scientifically and romantically. You will always have Colress's support and critique, and he has bountiful knowledge to gather about the bond between you and his pokemon.

🧪 He's admittedly indifferent to PDA, but he certainly is not the type to be all over his partner in public. He doesn't mind a level of closeness physically. You may find he's close at your side even if he's not actually touching you, so long as nothing captures his interest. A rare peck or hug may come from him if he's feeling highly affectionate, but he mostly stays sway from that. You can do whatever to him, admittedly, if he's not in the middle of his research that is. Kissing him, clinging to him, holding his hand, he's fine with it.

🧪 In private, he's pretty similar, but there's a noticeable up tick in his affectionate moves. His arm his often found around your waist or shoulders as he goes on to you about whatever device he's creating or experiment he's doing right then. Even if you don't care, it's nice to share in his excitement. You're still free to do whatever, too. But, he's not the best with cuddling, as he likes to move and keep things going. You'll find the best times are when he's truly ready to doze off to sleep (a rare occurrence) or when he's deep in thought. In those moments, he may find himself entirely reciprocating. He's surprisingly sweet at times.

🧪 He does prioritise his research over his health quite typically, so you may find yourself concerned with his lack of sleep and proper meals. Colress tells you that everything is fine, however, and that he's used to it. Finding him passed out in his lab is always a bit distressing, though. If you bring food into the room and return a few hours later, it's eaten, so there is a way to subtly help him without dragging him away from what is his life's calling.

🧪 Colress finds himself intrigued with the concept of love and being in a relationship. It's a bit unfathomable to him at times that you're able to keep up with him despite his eccentricities. He enjoys the feelings it brings quite a bit. Even to a point where he begins to document little changes between you both as you grow closer. He even expresses that this must be similar to the feelings pokemon hold toward their trainers who let them grow stronger. You ask him politely to stop comparing your feeling to what his Klinklang must feel towards him.

🧪 Specific dates are admittedly rare with him. He's more of an explorer, so you end up travelling with him across the many regions that capture his intrigue. Colress considers the times he pulls away from his research and properly gives his entire attention to you, more of dates than anything. A walk with you through the Kalosian countryside after he stopped investigating those rocks near Geosenge is a date. Him sitting with you on a beach in Alola after he took a break from what the Ultra Recon Squad commissioned his with Necrozma is also a date. He may not be the most romantic, but he does make you feel strangely special.

🧪 Jealousy is simply something he cares little for. He may politely ask someone to stop flirting with you or touching you if he notices it, but he never does anything extreme. The scientist trusts you entirely, after all. Your bond with him is something fascinating that he knows everything about. You may get a bit jealous of all the attention dedicated to his work, but humans rarely cause issues. Most people are thrown off from Colress from his eccentricities, despite how oddly handsome he is.

🧪 Being relevant to his research, you are often challenged to battles with him. He taps away on his tablet as you go against him. Your strategies used and pokemon choices are documented by him, and he actually becomes quite a difficult rival. He enjoys them all endlessly and might even declare you his favourite dataset (an honour, truly). There is likely a conversation about where him viewing as information ends and seeing you as his partner begins. Admittedly, you are seen as both to him in a strange harmony. It's just how he views the world.

🧪 Colress only calls you by your full legal name without hesitation. Joking, of course, but he simply cannot choose pet names. The closest thing you get called to a pet name is what your dataset is titled in his system. You ask him not to call you that, though. He does quite enjoy it if you call him some, actually. It may somehow inspire him to call you something. (He goes with 'dear' because it is simple and to the point.)

🧪 Overall, he is a pretty interesting man to date. His affections are often subtle and he can come across as oddly cold, but he does truly love you. He may tell you in his own way that having you in his life is something that brings him much joy. Especially if he decides to tell you about his past and how he put the fate of the world in jeopardy for his research. Colress trusts and feels comfortable with you, that's what is important to him. Life is certainly a journey with him, but he's an intriguing guy to dedicate yourself to.
