Tuhan sungguh baik.
Terkadang kita merasa cemas akan apa yang terjadi hari ini. Terkadang kita merasa khawatir akankah semua akan terjadi sesuai dengan harapan kita.
Ya, kekhawatiran dan kecemasan yang pada akhirnya justru akan menutup langkah kita untuk meraih kebahagiaan.
Aku pernah mengalaminya.
" Aku merasa cemas pada saat itu, karena keluarga belum makan sedikitpun, aku khawatir karena kebutuhan hidup kami yang semakin lama semakin menipis.
Jujur, aku sudah hampir menyerah, dan mulai menyalahkan diri sendiri. Masa sih memenuhi kebutuhan hidup yang essensial saja tidak bisa dipenuhi.
Tapi, entahlah, mungkin sudah rencana Tuhan, tiba-tiba ada tetangga yang mengirimkan makanan yang sangat cukup untuk kami, bahkan tidak itu saja, kami juga diberikan sembako untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup kami. "
Ya, terkadang kita terlalu fokus dengan masalah, sehingga lupa untuk lebih mendekatkan diri kepada-Nya.
Percayalah, Tuhan tidak akan tinggal diam pada kehidupanmu, Tuhan tahu benar apa yang terbaik bagi hidupmu.
Bersabarlah, Tuhan pasti segera bertindak, dan akan menyembuhkan kekhawatiranmu.

Notes on: Understanding Depression
I felt I should shed some new light on the word depression because I’m sure I’m not the only one who has felt this way. I’ve noticed this through my own day  to day feelings and experiences, therapy and research. Here are a few statements I found to be false:

It’s only a psychological warfare. Depression is physical as much as it is psychological. Your mind, body and gut work together, when one is out of sync your body will indicate that through your health. Pay attention to primary symptoms: sleep problems and increase or decrease of appetite, all other symptoms are secondary due to the primary symptoms you’re facing. Secondary symptoms can include: inflammation (internal or external), digestion problems, aches in your shoulders, neck and or back. Depression is literally a repression of thoughts, emotions, feelings and your body.
When you allow the body to express itself that psychological warfare can release. @elliotthulse-blog-blog expresses this perfectly in this video with a great meditation and exercise by Osho.
It generally interrupts daily activities. Some people can go through their daily routines, make goals, plan for the future and still feel depressed. There isn’t one standard type of depression. Everyone goes through things differently and we can’t assume someone is healthy because they live what we consider to be a normal life. We all have our own personal struggles that we tend to hide from others to just get through the day. @lovethediosa expresses her experience.
Pharmaceutical drugs are the only way to restructure chemical imbalances. There are several methods to help cope with depression and antidepressants are not the only way. I’ve found changing my diet a simple way to help me feel better. A lot of chemical imbalances can be directly because of the food we eat is processed or has additives to preserve it’s shelf life. If you wake up and can’t pin point why your mood is low try to think of some of the foods that you ate the day before. Here’s a list of foods that can leave you feeling sluggish (gluten was not mentioned but can be a major trigger as well). And here are some great healing foods that will leave you feeling energized.
It’s easy to just “cheer up” and change your thoughts. Sometimes those things we love to do are not as easy to take part in anymore; and that’s okay! Be patient with yourself and be kind to yourself. Listen to what you’re saying to yourself as well. Some people continue with their daily lives while others won’t. When people notice something is not okay and they tell someone with depression they’re negative or they need to change how they’re thinking this can make them feel worse. In fact, the best thing they can do is listen, try to understand and be patient. The best thing you can do for yourself is not force happiness, it will come naturally at it’s own timing. Stay in tuned with your thoughts and find your own healthy way of expression. Love T
