The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office has just released a report showing changes in the distribution of family wealth from 1989 to 2019 (the first and the most recent years for which comparable survey data on family wealth are available).
Families in the top 10 percent of the distribution now hold more than two-thirds of all wealth.
Families in the bottom half of the distribution hold only 2 percent of total wealth. (Families in the bottom quarter have negative net wealth — they’re in debt. Families in the top 1 percent — indeed, the top one-tenth of one percent — have a disproportionate share of the wealth of the top 10 percent.)
Once you realize it, that appointments, deadlines, and even the time on our phones are more what you'd call guidelines and are almost all ignorable, within reason, AND that all of the little inconveniences and frustrations of your day that come from Capitalism...
from all of our technology like s***** voice to text, or interactions with businesses' draconian stupid ass regulations that make no sense, Android's s***** UI, or just getting through traffic is all carefully designed cause as much frustration, anxiety, pain, and miserableness as possible...
Once you accept this truth, it all becomes easier to bear and find creative ways to face and overcome.
Children, if you know that things like that are all working to cause you anxiety and distraction and even to hurt and kill you by making you sick or getting into car accidents or whatever when trying to get your Bluetooth to work in your Toyota while you're driving, and whatever. If you are aware of this, children, if you are aware, you can protect yourself from the powers of the world a little better as well. At least if you are as paranoid as yours truly.

Tired of seeing North American election politics on my dash and the only thing I'll say about it is that it was a seriously bad move to not have compulsory voting for all citizens. Part of being an adult is making hard decisions and getting to opt out of that by legally not voting is not the gotcha that a lot of people think it is.
If tax cuts give you $100 back in your wallet yet it gives the rich, $10,000 back in theirs, you are not $100 richer. Money is relative to wealth. When we give handouts or tax breaks and most of it goes to the rich YOU. GET. POORER. Tax the rich, don't just cut carbon taxes.
