wrapped inside a cocoon made of flesh and bones
Nanami hisses as if he’s in pain, and Nobara looks over at him. “Are you okay?” “I’m fine,” he says stiffly, not really sounding fine. “It’s just—” he rolls his wounded shoulder and winces. Oh, shit. Half of his body is injured, and he can’t stop moving it.

satoru spends his birthday in a way he’d only dreamt of
a/n: this is just a tiny drabble for my hispanics out there ‼️ happy birthday to my angel boy 🩵 (will hopefully make something else tmrw perchance …. do not quote me on this)
masterlist
trans: mordida: [take a] bite; mi hermoso amor: my beautiful love
satoru probably gets so excited when you start chanting “mordida! mordida!” after singing happy birthday, beyond excited when he goes in for a little bite.
he doesn’t expect megumi and yuta to grab the back of his head and smashing it in the cake, for the first time in so long he was caught off guard.
when he finally unsticks his face from the cake he can only smile, blue eyes sparkling as he takes in the sight in front of him. yuta and megumi are high fiving behind him, laughing uncontrollably.
nobara and yuji are toppling over in laughter, panda has his paws over his mouth and toge is giggling. he can see maki rolling her eyes, the ends of his lips twitching into a smile. shoko is wiping tears away from her eyes, letting out a content sigh.
finally his eyes land on you, a loving smile on your lips as you hand him some paper towels. “you got a little something there,” you giggle, moving his frosting covered bangs from his forehead and wiping his nose, pressing a soft kiss before handing him more towels.
“okay now who wants a slice of cake!” you smile, bringing out the backup cake you’d bought.
the rest of night went by quickly, soon enough all the kids filed out of your home and back to the dorms, shoko ushering them out, hugging the two of you goodbye before following them out.
satoru smiles when you push him into the restroom, turning the hot water on and urging him to get in. he’s over the moon when he realizes what you’re planning on doing.
his eyes flutter closed when your fingers run through his hair, nails scratching his scalp in the most perfect way. the smell of your shampoo fills his nose, humming as you continue scrubbing. by the time you’re done satoru is beyond relaxed, ready to get into bed and cuddle.
you shower after hims quickly, forcing him out of the restroom when he tries to return the favor to you, insisting you’ll let him another time.
satoru smiled when the bed dips under your weight, immediately taking you into his arms. he’s giggling and blushing when you pepper his face with kisses.
“i love you, mi hermoso amor,” you whisper, watching as his dimples deepen, a wide smile on his face. you can’t help but smile, your fingers running through his still damp hair as you press a kiss to his forehead.
“i love you more sweetheart,” he mumbles, catching your lips in his. “thank you, for everything.” the weight of the words are heavy in the air, and they land softly in your ears. your face burns as you smile at him.
“you deserve it all, lover boy” you reply, cuddling into his side, your arms snaking around his waist and squeezing him a bit.
satoru doesn’t say anything, he only kisses the top of your head, he knows this wasn’t an argument he’d win. he holds you tightly, staring at you for a couple seconds before his eyes flutter shut.
there’s a small smile on his face as he sleeps. he spent his birthday at home.
satoru spent his birthday at home, with the love of his life and his family; and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

☆ Gojo Satoru and his boyfriend are a bit drunk and make it to the bedroom.
★ Fluff, Trans Male Reader!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were buzzed.
Shoko, and Gojo were too. After all, it was a collective idea to go drinking after the Exchange event, and Gods you were never challenging Shoko Ireiri of all people to a drinking contest.
Gojo joined too just for the hell of it, and was the first one to get drunk. He wasn't very good with alcohol. You lasted about two and a half bottles after him before tapping out.
Yeah, you wanted to get drunk, but not drunk enough not to be able to stand up.
"Yo, [Name]. Is—is that tree fuckin' glowin?" Gojo hiccuped pointing at what looked to be a chair?
Honestly, the alcohol was one of those strong ones that Shoko saved for 'special occasions' as she called it. "I don't fuckin' know man..." You slurred tilting your head back and the white-haired sorcerer.
His blindfold was off, hanging sideways on his hair with slightly red eyes and flushed cheeks. You snorted, yeah, he was definitely out of it.
"What're you laughin' about huh?" Gojo asked—more like yelled— squinting his eyes and getting up close and personal.
You could practically smell the alcohol on his lips. The same ones that just wouldn't shut up when he was teaching. "You just can't shut up, can ya?" You asked holding the sides of his cheeks, forcing him to make a duck face— and fuck if his suprised expression didn't make your dick twitch.
"What? You gonna make me?"
As bad as you wanted to push him against the bed, a couch— fuck even the damn floor and ride him 'till he couldn't get a single thought through that pretty head of his—he was drunk and you weren't going to take advantage of that.
Groaning, you pushed him back to the chair he was sitting on, going to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water.
Even though you drank twice as much as Gojo, you could hold your own when it came to alcohol. Nowhere near as much as the almighty Shoko Ieiri, but it saved you from taking care of her when she's drunk.
When you got back, you caught Gojo dowining another bottle, his blindfold now discarded on the floor. "Oi, stop that. Drink this instead."
Gojo's eyebrows furrowed staring at the water with a pout. "I don't wanna!"
"I'll give you a kiss if you do."
How quickly he took the bottle and drank it was comical.
You rolled your eyes, picking him up despite all his whines about his promised kiss, and dropping him in one of the spare rooms Shoko had at her place.
"[Name]!!" Gojo fussed with an expression that was oddly close to tears. "I want my kiss! Gimme my kiss!"
"You'll get your kiss, just hold on." You deadpanned, kneeling in front of him as you tried to take his shirt off. "Oh... well 'm fine with this too!"
You didn't say anything about his more than suggestive comment, shimmying his shirt over his arms and putting on a new, clean, shirt that didn't have alcohol on it.
Standing back up with a quick peck on Gojo's lips, you changed into a new shirt as well, oversized, so you'd be able to sleep in your boxers.
"Baby... Sleep without a shirt! Wanna see your body..."
"No, Gojo. This is Shoko's place, not yours." You deadpanned, laying down next to him.
"Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease—"
"Oh my God, fine, just promise you'll go to sleep."
"PROMISE!!" Gojo beams, watching you take of your shirt and crawl back into bed, scars from sorcery missions and surgery displayed over your torso with moles and bueaty marks accompanying them.
" s'so pretty..." Gojo whispered, tracing his hands over your scars with soft but sleepy eyes.
"Thank you, but you promised, now go to sleep."
Gojo was an affectionate and emotional drunk, you learnt that very quickly, but he was yours, and as his breathing slowly evened out, long white eyelashes covering those big blue eyes you can't help but get lost in, you quickly realized you were in love with him.
Not with the Special-Grade Sorcerer, not with the gifted kid of the almightly Gojo Clan, but the Satoru who wasn't afraid to show his emotions around you—his boyfriend.
The Satoru who kisses and looks at you like you're the most perfect man in the world.
The Satoru who holds your hand and confindes in you, especially after everything that went down after Riko Amanai.
You smiled adoringly, kissing Gojo's forhead and intertwining your hands together, slowly falling asleep.
Yeah, most people may not understand Gojo, most people may see him as an overconfident bastard who doesn't know his own limits.
But they don't know the real Gojo, but you do.
And honestly, you couldn't be happier with anyone else other than the man who was mumbling something about eating a cloud made out of ice cream in his sleep.
...actually... yeah, sometimes, you couldn't understand the things that went through his brain.

Is satosugu a queerbaiting ship?
Yes and no. No, it's not queerbaiting in canon because Gege is not writing anything romantic in their relationship; Yes, it's queerbaiting coming from the fandom because the majority of stsg shippers are genuinely convinced there's something romantic between them in canon, and fandom is what a fan engages in way more than just canon therefore people get brainwashed/gaslighted into thinking stsg is meant to be canon.
Theories you read? That's fandom. Art you reblog? Fandom. Memes you consume and regurgitate? Fandom. Sending me asks about JJK? You're engaging in fandom. When you only—and I really mean only—read the manga and do not engage in any other aspect of JJK in online spaces, then you are not engaging in fandom therefore you have no stsg shippers forcing their headcanons down your throat and manipulating you into believing that shit. However... not engaging in fandom really isn't the reality for most JJK fans ... and because the majority of the JJK fandom are stsg shippers ... and because the majority of stsg shippers are truly convinced Gege wrote those two with a romantic dynamic ... people start to think there's actual romance happening and therefore he's queerbaiting bc "Gege will never have the balls to make stsg canon so he just sprinkles in random hints bc he's being censored by homophobic Shueisha!!!!" even though JJK has a lgbt couple and openly trans character like ... Lmfao.
The answer is no, there's no queerbaiting going on because there is no romance between stsg happening. Neither Gege nor his editors have never insinuated anything of the sort, nor have the voice actors, or anyone from the animation team. In canon, Gojo and Geto's relationship has only ever been portrayed as platonic. Any stsg cope that their friendship is secretly romantic is manipulative gaslighting. They keep twisting facts to suit their narrative and it's so annoying. "My one and only" is not romantic, the line before that is literally "My best friend"; "My soul knows otherwise" is not romantic, Gege said in the fanbook it's about the way Kenjaku's CT interacts with Gojo's Six Eyes; "Geto is the only deep bond Gojo has with a person" Literally a lie but this is also because of the age-old issue of Shonen writers' misogyny.
The biggest and greatest example of this issue is what Kishimoto did with Naruto/Sasuke/Sakura. To keep it short, Kishimoto, self-described as "I don't know how to write women", put all his effort into developing both Naruto and Sasuke as independent characters, their dynamic with each other, their relevance to the plot, their narrative arcs, etc. etc. and Sakura? She was just ... there. Not saying she was a nothingburger character but the gap between Naruto & Sasuke vs Sakura was considerably evident. And what happened when Kishimoto gave way more depth to the two guys in the trio over the girl? Mass shipping and delusional nrss is canon takes and egg hunts everywhere, even though it was clearcut that nrss was nothing but platonic. It's the same story with Gojo/Geto/Shoko (she literally disappears during HI like fuck you Gege), and the same story with Yuuji/Megumi/Nobara. Hell, I'd even go as far as to say it's the same with the Special Grades: Gojo/Geto/Yuuta/Tsukumo. There's a big disparity between character work for Gojo, Geto & Yuuta vs Tsukumo.
Gege might not make his female characters do fanservice like panty shots, unreasonably big tits, mad sexualization, KYAAHHH!!!, etc. all the time but that don't mean he's above being misogynistic to his female cast .
Gege did a lot of character work for both Gojo and Geto in HI which led up to the iconic Kenjaku reveal moment in Shibuya arc. Great. None of that shit was romantic in any way though. Had he given Shoko the same care and love he's given to the boys, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. Because that would mean that the fujos would have to engage with her character and her dynamic with other characters in a meaningful way. Alas... that didn't happen because Gege said this is a sausage fest.
Now, all this doesn't mean that you can't ship stsg. It just means that stsg is not a canon ship, Gege is not being censored so he can't "confirm their love", it means that in canon there is no romantic love between those two and there never has been. But you can still ship it, though. Hell, I ship TojiGo! Literally negative romance there in canon obviously, but that won't stop me because exploring character dynamics outside of the confines of canon and the what-ifs is what shipping is all about! (Majority) stsg shippers are just annoying as fuck because they genuinely believe their ship is canon, try to force their headcanons and misinterpretations of the material down everyone's throats, and send death threats to anyone who dares to ship Gojo with literally anyone else. And then gaslight the part of the fandom that isn't into shipping culture so bad that people start to think this fujo ship is queerbaiting. Goddamn.

Disability Discrimination in Anime Dubbing
Disabled Characters are becoming more and more common in manga in recent years, with releases such as “A Sign of Affection”, “Ranking of Kings”, and “Josee, and the Tiger and the Fish”, all getting Anime Adaptations! However, only one of these series features a Disabled actor in the lead role. That being Emily Fajardo in Ranking of Kings (directed by Caitlin Glass) as Bojji. Emily has (understandably) undisclosed disabilities, and has said how ecstatic and proud they were to get to play a disabled role - a sense of triumph and emotion I do not wish to take away from them. However their disabilities do not match those of the character they play. Bojji is non verbal and deaf, Emily is not.
Yet this is a vast improvement upon the continuing apparent refusal to find disabled actors. There is a solidarity found amongst disabled people, and whilst our experiences in this world are different, we have a shared history. A shared understanding of what it is like to live in a world that rejects you. Be that the epileptic teen who can't go to the cinema with their friends, or the wheelchair-using adult unable to find a job because nobody sees their value.
The only time I can think of where a Disabled Anime Character has been voiced by someone with a matching Disability was Lexi Marman Cowden in “A Silent Voice” as Shoko. Lexi’s performance was absolutely incredible, heartfelt, and true in every sense. Comparing her performance to that of her able bodied Japanese counterpart (Saori Hayami) you can tell that Lexi has real life experience to draw on, her emotions feel real. It's obvious that Lexi has been through what Shoko has. It's why, despite its flaws as a story, I still consider “A Silent Voice” to be one of the best ever English Dubs. They bought something new to the series that the Japanese team didn't. Stephanie Sheh and her colleagues at NYAV Post understood the need to have stories told by the people they're meant to represent - a sentiment that has bled through into their other work such as casting Trans Actress Shakina Nayfack as Hana in “Tokyo Godfathers”.
And whilst this wonderful dedication to accurate casting in terms of gender, racial, and sexual minorities is being reflected throughout the industry – for example the Majority POC Dub of “Horimiya” and the Majority Queer Dub of “Given” – it is simply not being reflected with regards to Disabled People who are once again left out in the cold. It also feels incredibly hypocritical and hurtful to see people criticise non-accurate casting within some minorities, and completely ignore it when disabled people are involved.
An example of this would be “Josee, the Tiger, and the Fish”. Whilst it is to be celebrated that there was a Majority POC cast in the film, director Jerry Jewell still chose to cast an able bodied actress in the titular role of Josee, a wheelchair user. Suzie Yeung’s performance very much felt like that of an Able-bodied person mimicking a disabled person. Whereas Lexi had real life experience to draw upon, Suzie was making it up as she went along. This was especially clear to me when Josee was forced to self-hoist for the first time.
Suzie played it as a tragic moment of upset frustration and proof that Josee needed help but was too stubborn to ask. Meanwhile, my own experience as a person with Myasthenia Gravis was that the first time I collapsed and couldn't stand up on my own, being able to clamber from the floor to the sofa was a moment of personal triumph. This is an emotion I have heard other disabled people talk about. It's not proof of helplessness, it's evidence that you do have strength, power, and independence. Yes, part of this was probably just the way the film was made, but I still felt that a disabled actor with mobility issues would have understood the nuances far better, and would have made for a better film.
At the time, I said I would only forgive Director Jerry Jewell for casting an Ablebodied Actress in a Disabled Role, if he hired a Disabled Actress for an Able-bodied role… which he did later the following year when he cast the wonderful Risa Mei (who has dwarfism) as the protagonist in “My Senpai is Annoying”. Whilst this his was not Risa’s first role at Funimation (now Crunchyroll) having played Shirley/Rum in “Shadow’s House” and Nadila in “Kakushigoto”, it was her first lead role. The anime itself didn't have the best reception, however Risa has continued to be cast in more and more roles across the Anime and Gaming World including more Popular Series like “My Dress Up Darling”, “Sing a Bit of Harmony”, and the upcoming “Sand Land” Video Game by Dragon Ball Creator Akira Toriyama.
I had hoped that perhaps this would lead to more disabled actors breaking through into the industry! That Lexi had proven, without a shadow of a doubt, that Deaf people could do Dubbing and do it better than Hearing People! That Risa had proved that there are thousands of talented disabled actors out there if you were just willing to look! Yet with the announcement of Lara Woodhull as Yuki in “A Sign of Affection” it is clear to me that Voice Over still has a long way to go with regards to hiring disabled people. Which is a real shame, since you would think that the success of remote recording during the ongoing pandemic would allow for more disabled (and especially immunocompromised) actors getting cast.
Many would argue that I am perhaps being hypocritical here. If I am saying that disabled voice actors can play able-bodied roles, then why can’t able-bodied people play disabled roles? This is perhaps a fair question, but from my perspective, disabled people are fully aware of what it is like to be able-bodied. Many of us are already forced to act as if we are, or have had to experience going from being able-bodied to being disabled. So where as disabled people absolutely have the life experience needed to play non-disabled roles, able-bodied people do not.
This isn't to say that there has never been any examples of non-disabled people playing disabled characters well! Eun-bin Park as Woo Young-Woo in the Korean Courtroom Drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” springs to mind. Her performance as the Autistic Woo was incredibly well researched and prepared for. She took great care to talk to real-life autistic people to play the role as authentically as possible. However, this is an exception, not a rule. The majority of able-bodied actors are not willing to put in the same level of time and effort that Eun-bin has.  Equally, Disabled people should still be able to speak for themselves, and not have able-bodied people control the entire narrative.
An argument is often made that Disabled People do not have enough experience to play lead roles. However, how are actors meant to get this experience if they are not even being cast to play themselves? And surely Lexi once again stands as an example of how someone with no experience in Voice Acting or Dubbing can give award worthy performances?
It is perhaps especially sad that no Hard of Hearing actors have been cast in “A Sign of Affection”, since it would have been the perfect dub to start out on. Due to trauma related to how her voice sounds to others, Yuki has an entirely internalised monologue. This means that the actor playing her doesn't need to match any mouth flaps. This makes things much easier for those new to dubbing, as it allows them to focus on just their acting rather than the more technical side of things.
Where as some might argue that Yuki’s internal monologue means that it would be ridiculous to cast a person with a Deaf Accent. Ignoring the obvious fact that Yuki may very well have a Deaf Accent in her internal monologue, and that it's down to Hearing People to learn to understand those accents, many d/Deaf people do not even have that accent! Not all d/Deaf folks are born without hearing, many lose it later in life and so maintain their original accents. Equally, not all d/Deaf people are completely without hearing, hence the term “Hard of Hearing”. They might still have full hearing in one ear, or have cochlear implants to improve their overall hearing before it gets to the point of complete loss. Not to mention the increasing effectiveness of regular hearing aids. Whilst naturally a person who has partial hearing is going to have a different lived experience to someone who was born without hearing like Yuki, they would still have far more in common with the character than an Able-bodied actor would.
It would simply appear that Dub Directors like Jason Lord are simply not willing to put the effort in to find Disabled Talent. But we are out there! We’re working hard and making moves. We’re doing everything that able bodied actors are doing, backwards and with wheels. There are over 350,000 d/Deaf people living in Texas, I am certain at least one of them has a passion and talent for acting.
So please. Let the Blind Samurai be voiced by a Visually Impaired Person. Let the Robot Armed Star Fighter be played by a person with a prosthetic. Let the sweet deaf girl who is falling in love and discovering the world for the first time through her own hard work and the support of her friends as it becomes accessible to her for the first time, be played by someone who knows exactly what that feels like.
I do not want to have to write another post like this when the next series with a Disabled Protagonist is announced. I want to be allowed to join in with your celebrations, and not to left looking in through the window as I sit on my scooter in the cold wet rain. Once again refused entry to the party because of the elaborate staircase built by able-bodied people.

Random ask, if you sort your top fav characters from BNHA & JJK to Hogwarts houses, which houses will they be (in your opinion)? Why?
I spent an embarrassing amount of time looking for the artist I bought my "Dobby is a Free Elf, F*** TERFS" sticker from (still couldn't find them 😭). Before I jump in, just taking the time to remind readers that we can maintain a connection to media we grew up with but refrain from putting more money in the hands of a creator who actively preaches against and promotes messages that impede upon the freedoms and lives of our trans frans. 🏴‍☠️⚡️
Tumblr media
I'll use the lineups from these last asks (because I flip flop, I just love so many of them, okay??).
MHA
Katsuki Bakugo - Slytherin. Slytherin like Draco Malfoy in the sense that he's outwardly and overly confident. But his predisposition for "darkness" scares and frustrates him because he just wants the same recognition of being a good wizard that Izuku gets.
Izuku Midoriya - Gryffindor with Ravenclaw underpinnings. Gryffindor is the one house where anyone can belong if you're only brave enough to ask and he'd totally make a scene muttering to himself under the sorting hat.
Shouta Aizawa - Ooof. This is hard because he has the outward disposition of Snape as a teacher but Aizawa is so soft at heart and incredibly logical. Of the Three Dumbigos, he would be in Ravenclaw. Bonus: Oboro would have been in Gryffindor and Yamada would have been in Hufflepuff.
Shoto Todoroki - Legacy Slytherin but sorted into Gryffindor much to Endeavor's chagrin (and likely to spite him).
Eijirou Kirishima - this is a hufflepuff. ✨
JJK
Nobara Kugisaki - This one was legitimately a head scratcher. She has her Hufflepuff moments from being so in sync with Yuji but I think Nobara's more Ravenclaw or Gryffindor leaning. Especially with that ego. Actually, yea, let's be for real, Nobara would want to be in the place where she can kick the most ass and not from an academic perspective. Gryffindor with Ravenclaw underpinnings though I'm open to hearing other people's takes on her situation.
Yuji Itadori - If he'd had any insight into the houses, any idea that there were such a thing as Gryffindor whose bravery was renowned, he probably would have had the sense of mind to end up there. But buddy boy was just so happy to be included having zero connection to the wizarding world that he rejoiced at his sorting in Hufflepuff. He's well received in their ranks and, of course, is not a stranger to students in other houses. I'm not saying the Sorting Hat didn't see obvious potential, though. If only he'd persisted to ask.
Megumi Fushiguro - Unbeknownst to him, the Zenin's are a legacy Slytherin family. He'd always heard the way Gojo had spoken about Slytherins and was annoyed at the possibility of ending up there (more than how much Gojo annoyed him) so, instead, the Sorting Hat saw fit to put him into Gryffindor after his imperceptible begging.
Kento Nanami - This man is a bored Ravenclaw. He gets through school, aces his OWLs and NEWTs and then becomes something boring in the muggle world because, while magic makes things convenient, the shenanigans and idiocy of his peers and upperclassmen encouraged the pursuit of a life of solitude to recover from the hijinks he suffered while in high school. He'd come back for the Battle of Hogwarts, though. That's a call he wouldn't be able to ignore.
Satoru Gojo - He thought himself smart enough to be in Ravenclaw 👀 but was ultimately damned by his legacy Slytherin family lineage. Dismayed by the Sorting Hat's deliberation, he felt there was more glory to be had in Gryffindor and changed the tide of the Gojo family with this subsequent desire. He had the time of his life. Never told Megumi about how long the Sorting Hat deliberated though... likely forgot, in fact, because once he belonged in Gryffindor, nothing else felt right. Bonus: Shoko was in Gryffindor as the actual Ravenclaw of the trio. Geto was in Gryffindor with Hufflepuff underpinnings. The hubris he developed by this association would still be his undoing and leave him vulnerable to manipulation.
