How do you hold your buoy, above the knee or below? A low buoy position can help get your feet on the surface but requires good rotation and strong core position, with a longer lever demand. It can prevent cheat kicking when doing pull work. It’s best suited for the long axis strokes of freestyle and backstroke. A high buoy position may help keep your hips high but requires good leg position, and foot control. Train Hard But Recover Harder
If you are training hard, remember to also rest and recover hard.
Don't forget to balance your yin with your yang. 
Too many people burn the candle at both ends and after a period of hard work and being overly zealous, they end up crashing and losing progress.
Don't be one of these people, because they usually end up in a worse situation than they began. 
It's definitely possible to recover from a crash but it takes patience, LOTS of it.  
I am a perfect example of someone who overdoes things. But I have learned (the hard way) that rest is just as important (if not MORE important) than training.
Of course you won't see any results without training, but your body will get stronger, leaner and healthier at rest when it has the ability to adapt so you can come back stronger.
If you can't find a yin activity to perform, try yoga, prayer or meditation. 
Lots of proof showing how well they work to reduce stress hormones, increase anabolic and restorative hormones and improve our outlook on life!

Balance is the key word here!

Connect your pull to your glutes for better propulsion. The single leg inverted row, a progression from the bent leg row posted weeks ago, is more specific to the long axis strokes of freestyle and backstroke, with its anti-rotational demands on one leg, and the long lever of the leg. Improving position overhead is not always a mobility solution, but sometimes the stability of muscles firing in coordination with one another to allow the prime movers to do their job. The serratus anteriors role in moving the scapula so the arm can effectively get overhead to improve stroke length and power. Not all pulls are created the same. Pull power is critical for stroke propulsion but the types of pulls you choose may be limiting your position in the water. A swimmer with a depressed and downward presented shoulder girdle may be demonstrating a lat and lower trap dominance that can limit effectively getting overhead, and may benefit from more upper trap dominant pulls. A swimmer with a more upwardly rotated and elevated shoulder girdle may benefit from more Serratus anterior, lat and lower trap work. Stroke Rate 🏊‍♀️Tuesday Training Tips with @TheAFish 1 🏊‍♂️ #TrainDaly #TheAFish1 The keys to going faster are #1 Stroke Rate and #2 Distance Per Stroke (See Abbies post later on DPS) To go faster you need to increase strokes taken, and or distance covered with each stroke. Stroke rate depends on many things like fitness, size, gender, age, and racing distance. Many swimmers will feel quite comfortable warming up, cruising, and performing drills in the 40-60 strokes per minute range (SPM) Elite middle distance swimmers and triathletes fall in the 70-90 range, and sprinters are well over 100 into 150 SPM. Counting strokes, using a tempo trainer, and performing lifts at comparable tempos, are just few ways you can begin to develop your ideal rate, and goal times!
