Moving on with the aesthetic boards and HCs series:

Andromeda Tonks

represented by Rachel Weisz

Random HCs for Andromeda:

· second child, two years younger than Bellatrix, two years older than Narcissa

· used to play flute, quite excelled at it actually, still plays from time to time up to this day

· fond of potions as most Slytherins but her preferred subjects remained Herbology and Astronomy

· was never a fan of quidditch, obviously received necessary broom skills, but never flew unless absolutely necessary

· despised Cygnus for pretty much the entirety of her life, hid it very poorly and got frequently punished for lack of respect

· tolerable relationship with Druella, but truth to be told Bellatrix was the mother figure of her entire childhood

· loved Narcissa dearly, but was truly and insanely close with Bellatrix - when Bellatrix was old enough to get a room separate from her sisters, it ended up being Narcissa's - Meda and Bella kept a common bedroom until very late in their teens

· most of Andromeda's music and literature taste was inspired by her older sister

· met Ted Tonks for the first time on her second year of Hogwarts, he was two years older, but they almost instantly became friends

· started dating Ted on her fourth year at Hogwarts. she used to share everything exciting with Bellatrix. the day Ted asked her out was the day she started withholding news from her sister

· her family never knew about their relationship - well, Narcissa did to be fair, but she kept that knowledge to herself

· she was never seriously planning to elope with Ted, but one night soon after her 18th birthday she overheard her parents talking about her planned engagement to Rodolphus Lestrange - expressed her disagreement to Bellatrix, expecting support

· when Bellatrix said that their parents were being reasonable, Andromeda did not disagree. but the next night she ended up on Ted's doorstep with one suitcase and no way back

· very excited about muggle cars, learned to drive and got a licence when she lived with Ted's parents shortly after she eloped

· regrets loss of contact with her sisters, but would only admit it in a drunken late night painfully sincere kitchen conversation with her husband

· Nymphadora's name was supposed to be Bellatrix all along, then Andromeda found out about her sister being a Death Eater... the name choice suddenly changed

· loves muggle gadgets and devices, especially television, big fan of science fiction and fantasy movies

Something that in a way annoys me of when people fancast young Andromeda and Bellatrix. Do they forget that andromeda looks startlingly like Bellatrix? In Harry Potter, he thought Andromeda was Bellatrix for a hot minute. So like they should choose actresses who have lookalikes or the same actress but edited hair color or our normal fancast of Bellatrix but then find someone who looks similar.

Not gonna lie at least your suggestion of Margot Robbie as Bellatrix would make the casting of Andromeda and Narcissa a whole lot easier. Emma Mackey can be Andromeda and Samara Weaving can be Narcissa.

Anon, you are so right. I mean, they're all a little young for their parts but by the time they shoot season 4 of HBO's reboot, they'll be perfect. I won't pretend it's the best casting ever, or that they fit the British aristocracy aura perfectly, but I actually kind of like it. Emma Mackey has the soft voice, the kinder eyes, and the accent. Samara Weaving is a good actress and she has that Narcissa Black vibe going on - if I didn't know about her comedic presence on screen I could easily typecast her as the snobby blond she is described as in GoF.

ooh, okay, so I've answered this before, but I've got some updated answers. I'd like to also highlight @giblimort's work. I just adore their Remus and Teddy Lupin. I like my Remus a little haunted looking, personally.

now, the problem is, I think most actors are too pretty looking for fan casts. all the actors I could think of were also older.

one of these days I'm going to try to use AI or get better at learning actors' names, but these are the ones I got for the Lupin fam. I still stand by a young Hugh Bonneville for Ted, and a young Helena Bonham Carter for Andromeda.

So we all know Tonks hates their first name right?

So I’ve recently found the perfect Fancast for them and she’s Indian-British and I was searching up Hindu names

(cause Harry is not a real name I refuse it vehemently)

anyway I found Ryan and it translates to ‘Little King’ and who else’ name means that Regulus Fucking Black aka the real Slytherin hero

Do I know anything about reg and Andy’s relationship? no. do I now believe they adored each-other? abso-fucking-lutley. Is it purely to give Tonks a gender neutral completely normal name and have at least one character named after regulus? Yes.

It was @waxwing-saint who I think told me about it first 🤣 but my memory's foggy. I could be wrong. Still, we went absolutely NUTS for that fancast. I remember it was around the time of The Haunting of Hill House, back at its peak I think? I hadn't seen the series at that point but saint kept sending gifs of Carla Gugino!Andy and I wondered where it came. That fancast literally forced me to binge the entire thing on a single night. Okay, I have to admit. I binged it all in one night because I was too afraid to move in the living room until the sun went up 💀💀 😭✋

But yes. Mostly for that fancast. Carla Gugino's wardrobe and hairstyle there was so Andy *chef's kiss* ❤️👀👀
