Today I want to talk about the crown chakra. The crown chakra is the highest chakra within the body. The crown connects you to your higher source. Something I have come across in ALL of my clients, is a block in this chakra. We have an issue with a disconnect from our higher source or self. We have trouble trusting in anything, let alone in things outside of ourselves. I always say, the more you ground through meditation, the higher you elevate in your crown. We have to fix this. We are so disconnected for both “God” and Gaia (Mother Earth). We have been created for a divine purpose. When you connect to your higher source you are capable of seeing what that purpose is!! How do you know if what you are doing it working or not? Today I had the pleasure of finding some notes I was writing to myself last year. I forgot how broken I was, because being in the moment, I didn’t think I was that broken. That is a terrifying concept, to realize that. As I sat and read these notes, I quickly remembered where I was and why I wrote them. I wrote about my anger, despair, the desire to run from everything to escape my own demons. My eyes filled with tears because I remember how scared and confused she was. Here it is everyone. These are temporary moments. How do I know? Because it was six months later something huge happened in my life that threw me in a direction I wasn’t even aware of. Through meditation, reiki, and prayer, I broke through something I never thought I could. Am I perfect? No. My growth is measured by my lack of desire for perfection, but by the immense desire to be unapologetically me!!!! Flaws and all!!! We went down to the farmers’ market today, and it dawned on me how truly blessed we are. Going to the farmers’ market is a difficult task sometimes because Martin becomes tired pretty quickly. I usually try to go by myself , but today I felt like I needed to bring him. I realized today why. It truly takes a village to raise a child. But an autistic child, it takes a whole city. They played with him, and acted like he was their child. They show grace and kindness to my son. These people are more than farmers, they are heros. To have the patients to get down on his level and not want him to fit into a box that he will never fit in, is an amazing feat as a parent, let alone someone we see maybe once a week. Truly amazing people that are in our community. Today is our bug’s birthday!!! I am so proud of this boy. He overcomes everyday. He fights for things most people take for granted. God gave me him for so many reasons and the biggest one I know is to teach me what unconditional love feels like. He has taught me to overcome rejection, and adversities, like it’s his job. Are you feeling fearful? It’s ok if you are. It is also ok for you to feel fear for whatever reason you are as well. I woke up out of a dead sleep in a panic this morning about 5am. I talk about this in my latest YouTube video. It is ok to have fear. What isn’t ok is invalidating other people’s fear. We need to protect our own energy during this time. Otherwise YOU may end up waking up in a panic that isn’t your’s to have either. Now is the time for grounding and bridging the divide. We are stronger as one whole entity than one individual. I remember it very clearly, the first time I felt healing energy in my hands. I grew up in the United Pentecostal Church and because of this, I used to go to a church camp every summer. The first time I remember feeling the energy in my hands was during a morning prayer service and I was led to pray for a young man. I remember feeling like there was something going on with him. I remember feeling his rejection, and pain, because he was not made to fit into the box he was being shoved into. While praying for him, the power that flowed through me was shocking. It was then I knew that I was being used by God. Unfortunately, I was interrupted and told that it was inappropriate for me to lay hands on a person of the opposite sex. I was made to stop praying for him. I however never have. I think of him so often and pray all the time for him. There are moments in life where you can see the hints of what you were brought here to do. That young man changed my life, and I don’t even know how to tell him that. He confirmed my connection to God. Not a pastor, a spiritual guru, or some prophet. A broken young man, who was maybe 15 at the time. HE showed a lost 12 or 13 year old little girl a light in her that everyone tried to dim. I am immensely grateful for him. Integrity is a value I hold very close to me. It is something that I carry over into my business. I don’t believe in having people spend more money than they need to. I don’t believe in having clients show up all the time. My clients typically have about 3 appointments with me. That’s because I refuse to treat people once they get to a point where I know they can take the reigns. Being honest is of the upmost importance time me. This also falls into my treatments. I work in the shadows and working there requires complete and total blunt honesty. If I am going there to find the shadow, you have to come with me, otherwise you have no chance of healing. That is why integrity and honesty are so important to me. Today’s session with a client was very emotional. I didn’t realize their brokenness until I was able to get under all of the layers. The years of loss took a toll on them. It is so easy to get lost in the hurt and pain of life. I will even go as far as saying that it is ok to get lost. It is in the moments we feel the most pain that we tend to be more inclined to heal. By the end, we were both sobbing, but we came just a little bit closer to helping the healing process. As a healer, it is so important to not only “heal”, but to also coach our clients so they will know what to do outside of what we do.
