Why can't we have a batman is the spirit of Gotham au?

He already is, in meta, in character, in theming. Him and the joker. He is so very built upon what Gotham is made of, and Gotham builds from what he needs in turn, the setting of his story.

What if that is the reason he can take damage that would permanently ruin a physical career and come back? What if that's how he's managed to maintain his no-kill streak to such an extent? What if that's how he manages to maintain such high maintenance and all consuming identities?

For the heart and soul of a city containing all extremes, the richest nobility and the lowest of the poor, the cruellest villains and the most compassionate heroes, orphaned children and ancient lineages, a city rooted in fear and madness and grit-teeth determination and hard won kindness, what better choice could you find than Bruce Wayne?

But what if he wasn't alone in that? What if Gotham has sunk to such a low because its spirit is damaged and corrupted?

I struggle a lot with internalized shame and embarrassment, especially just existing. I know a lot of people will say “Fake it till you make it” regarding confidence, and it does help a bit. I want to say, nothing has helped me more than pretending I’m going through my Villain Arc. It’s helped my confidence so much. He may have a loud and obnoxious front but he is genuinely one of the holders you do not want to piss of. His species revolves around fear. It is their main source of nutrients, but feeling it themselves can kill them. Because of this, barely any of his species live and yet he pursued. He has extremely good reserve and it is extremely hard to get him to crack.

He seems. Very simple on the surface but out of all the holders he is one of the most cunning and clever. It takes A LOT of skills to organize the carnivals he does and he surpasses all of them.

As i walk around the room full of people in suits, girls dressed up in the most prettiest clothes I’ve seen. Looking around for Austin no sigh of him, so i go to get coffee since snacks aren’t allowed. there was a fancy cafe stand right out the threatre, as ur waiting for ur black coffee a tall man comes close beside you.

“hi ya, can i have a black coffee with extra espresso shot on ice” he says.

Without looking at him i say “oh wow ur gonna be up all night” with a sweet smile.

expecting him to only giggle, he says “I’ve been up all night already I need all the help.”

He laughs softly… “lovely shirt by the way”

You turn and look up at him “oh -thank ..oh your Jacob!”

“Haha hi yes I’m Jacob, nice to meet you. What’s ur name dear?” -jacob In a deep Aussie accent that’s been faded out but still there.

“Oh I’m Sarah, nice to meet you “ I shyly say and look down at his fancy shirt. His eyes heavy on me but from that point I couldn’t look at him, then I say “your dressed so lovely”

I just hear a soft laugh “thank you, I can’t take credit. I was sent this to wear and give back” -Jacob said.

“Oh still that’s better than what I have on” I say ..feeling so shy in front of him.

“Are you kidding me? I have nightmare before Christmas shirts, that’s one of my favorite films. it’s a comfort to me..” - Jacob says looking down at me his eyes so sweet.

“Oh wow *feeling his eyes on u* that’s my favorite ever, I love it so much. I have the toys and everything” thinking I should be more calm and cool like he is.

Both our coffees come at this time we both say thank you at the time. we hear a person saying 5 minutes till the film starts to take our seats.

“Oh omg I have to go” I said as if he didn’t have to go as well.

“Hehe, ya dear likewise, I see ya later in there ?” He says softly.

“Yes, see u later nice meeting you” I say thinking he’s just being nice and of course I won’t see him again.

He takes my right hand into his palm, his hands so big compare to mines yet he was so gentle..

“nice meeting you little Sarah”

As I make way to sit beside lily “where have you gone off to?”

Still thinking about him calling me “little Sarah”

“Oh huh hmm, I met Jacob elordi! Getting coffee, He was really sweet..”

“Shit! Sarah!” Lily loud enough for people to turn to us jacob as well. he was with Austin and others. He looked at us and smiled.

“Sorry” lily says quietly.

“I’ll tell you more later” I said with red cheeks. looking I can see the back of Jacob’s head, I could’ve sworn he turned around to meet eyes right before everything went black. the film starts.

As the credits roll, The lights turn on, as chairs are being brought for the cast and director to sit,

“Omg is a q&a happening you didn’t tell me this!”

I hadn’t expected to feel so shy from Jacob. the whole film I spent looking to the back of his head like an idiot, and when I did pay attention it was boring. Jacob was like a star shining in it though.

“I didn’t think it was important enough because these things are usually 15-30 minutes” lily says as her mouth opens “Sarah . I think. Jacob elordi is looking at you”

My heart dropped. I turn to look up at Jacob sitting there staring at me with his brown eyes shaped so perfectly.

I gave a small wave with a soft “Hi”

He does the same, the journalists around us. Some start to whisper “does she know him?” “Who is she?”
