I have been lucky! No hate so far, just some very astute fans of canon that have pointed out inconsistencies haha (which is 100% acceptable)

HA... YES! I do lots and lots and lots of smut! But almost all of it is MxM I think!

Select lines yes, I have for Love and Devotion since the original content is in Chinese and that's my second language, but entire chunks? Definitely not. I usually just do italics to signify another language haha.

Give me a fictional character and I will say:

Favorite thing about them: His big dumb hero's heart. His compassion. How much he loves his home, his people, his family, his beloved, his friends — how much he loves.

Least favorite thing about them: //stares pointedly at his inability to form meaningful connections because Thor is Not Allowed to be Not Okay (even when it's obvious and people he loves asks him to share his heart).

Three things I have in common with them:

I am, myself, an elder sibling!! And one whose younger brother was/is someone I am incredibly close to, care a great deal about — that entire drama is very close to home for me.

A passion bubble for friends and family that's, on occasion, close to the surface... but otherwise am chill 👍

Three things I don’t have in common with them:

(and as far as the avengers proper go: Thor/Steve absolutely deserves more recognition they were the og duo as far as Age of Ultron is concerned and y'all , we've all been sleeping.)

OTP: Fosterson ! :D They're adorable star-crossed lovers, and he loves her very much. (and she feels the same for him !)

NOTP: if i see (1) more fan art of thorki in the thor tag i will scream. I guess also bruce/thor and valkyrie/thor exist ...??? I'm not really sure who Thor's exactly shipped with in the MCU besides Jane.

Random Headcanon: One time I considered the thought of little!Thor being exceptionally friendly with his kitchen staff servants, and because he's a strong little guy, he'd pick up giant barrels 3x his size and lug them around just because he wants to be helpful. And he'd do it with or without the prize of getting snuck goodies (though he would definitely prefer the goodies, were it up to him.)

Unpopular Opinion: I'm not sure if this counts as an unpopular opinion exactly, but I do always find it interesting that in the Frozen Vault Scene in Thor (2011), what the cinematography and editors show us that sets Thor off is seeing the dead einherjar...

And I'd actually say that this triggers his anger more than the interruption of his crowning ceremony.

So with that in mind, I'm not actually sure that (most of) his rage regarding the situation was about the coronation at all, in that case. At least, not in comparison to the fear he states (semi-subtextually) about being strong enough to maintain Asgard's borders were. ("They know you are vulnerable.")

He actually seems to only be upset about the coronation AFTER Odin makes it very clear he's decided to change his mind and rescind the crown from him entirely ... which only further fuels the point that Thor isn't ready. (aka: the one thing Thor is keenly aware of, scared of, and is scared the Frost Giants also know.) Which, you know, he's not at that point in time, but I don't see a lot of people talk about the details of that particular inciting incident all that much.

(honestly the ENTIRE text and subtext of the frozen vault scene absolutely FASCINATES ME so maybe I'll do a deep dive on it one day idk)

listen, i get it. i get frustrated with notes too. the grass is always greener and there's always a bigger fish i guess. you envy me and i envy other creators bigger than me. but we shouldn't do that. first of all, it's not a competition. my "success" (it's tumblr at the end of the day... silly stuff!) is not a threat to you or anyone else. people can reblog my gifs and yours, they don't have to pick a creator. unfortunately, tumblr has been suffering from lack of interaction lately and it's just getting worse. all creators are complaining about it. creators of different sizes and different niches, btw. we complain in private and in public. and what tumblr does in return? text posts complaining about us complaining get 50k notes in a day. it's tough. we shouldn't be treated this way, even though no one is obliged to reblog stuff and we aren't owed notes. but it's natural and fair to feel sad about lack of recognition and complain about. tumblr's lack of engagement is going to kill the website, but that's a conversation to another day.

i want to end with this:

you need to create because you want to create. you need to create because you want to get better at your craft. recognition is good and it's natural to want and feel upset about the lack of it, but it shouldn't kill your creative spirit. social media has poisoned our brains. 50 notes might not sound a lot but imagine 50 people in real life complimenting you. you might be someone's favorite creator. you might be a niche creator who is carrying your community on your back and people in that niche are so grateful for you, even though they don't say that. because unfortunately, hate speaks louder than love. case in point, this hate mail. for every one of you out there, there must be 10 people who like my work. but i never hear from them and that sucks, but i must believe that they exist and be thankful for them. sometimes people will recognize my hard work and i'm very grateful for those moments. they do motivate me, but they aren't the only thing that motivates me. making posts i wanna reblog but won't exist until i make them motivates me. getting better at my craft motivates me. making friends because of my craft motivates me. knowing i'm entertaining people (even though they're very silent about their appreciation of my work) motivates me. tumblr is a social media platform and social media is made by its users. if anyone stopped posting, there wouldn't be anything to do here. my gifset might not change the trajectory of someone's day (sometimes it does!), but it's my drop of water alongside thousands of other drops of water from other users that make this ocean that we all swim in. don't give up. keep making gifs. you will get better at them. people will follow you. you will get more notes. might not be enough followers or enough notes in your opinion, but we shouldn't put a number on our value.

and let me tell you a secret: when your goal is numbers, you're never satisfied. believe me, i learned this lesson. i thought i would be happy with hundreds of followers. then i got hundreds of followers. suddenly they weren't enough, i wanted thousands of followers now. and then i got them. guess what? i still seek validation through numbers (google David Foster Wallace's This is Water btw). but it will never be enough because you are now and i was then looking at the wrong solution to the problem. i need to FEEL enough, not be told by numbers or people that I'm enough. “You…You what?” Loki asks, because he can’t have heard Thor correctly. Thor wouldn’t want… Not with him.

Oh, but Thor does, and shows no shame in it either. He kisses Loki fiercely, all teeth and tongue and wanting, before he repeats what he’s said. “I want you to bear my child," he declares, and leans in to claim his lips again.

Loki stutters against the kiss and Thor pulls back, grinning widely. There’s such joy and love in his eyes that Loki feels something tighten in his chest and rise up through the center of his being. His body reacts to it, tensing into the next pull of his shirt from off his shoulder. The heat of desire burns along his skin.

“You always had the worst taste in jokes,” Loki protests, and Thor is quick to counter.

“I do not joke. It’s what I want. I want to see you round and heavy with my seed. I want everyone who looks at you to know that you are mine and that I am yours.”

There is a delicious ache that blossoms deep inside of Loki when he hears those words, settling between his legs. But when he opens his mouth to reply there is only silence, all sounds trapped by the knot in his throat. Thor waits patiently until he recovers enough to speak again, and even then his voice is barely more than a whisper.

“Do not lie to me.”

Thor smiles and lowers himself to his knees in front of Loki. One hand presses gently on Loki’s thigh, parting his legs to get closer to where he's seated on the bed. Loki’s breath hitches at the touch. At the pressure. At the intimacy.

“I would never lie about something like this. As the prince of lies, you should be able to tell that I speak the truth.” Thor says, an edge of amusement in his voice. "You accuse me of tricking you, and yet you do not answer my request. Will you allow me to impregnate you, dear Loki? To breed you?"

There are so many ways Loki could say yes, a thousand different arguments he could use to say he's been secretly wanting this for years. A spell speaks for him, a shimmer of emerald magic melting away their garments, leaving them bare in just a short moment. With one touch they lose their places between the sheets and have nothing but each other in their arms, wrapped tightly together, making slow, hungry, breaths of mingled desires.

"You'll look beautiful. Big. Heavy. Mine,” Thor grunts into his ear once he’s pushed his cock inside the wet warmth. Loki moans in response, imagining the described image Thor has painted. He lets his head against Thor’s shoulder, clinging to him as his hips begin to move, rocking his ass against Thor’s hips. His own need rises fast and powerful, clutching at his core like a fist, urging him to be claimed by Thor and Thor alone.

I dont know much about comic Thor so this will be strictly MCU Thor :)

My favorite things is that Thor is the opposite of masculine toxicity. The child like joy he holds for so many things, his kindness and himbo manners. It’s just very charming and refreshing.

Least favorite things? Honestly, its a bit of the above. I dont mind a good dose of humor, but I do miss that in the first couple movies, Thor wasn’t just a himbo. He was smart. He understood magic and science and I feel that has gotten a little forgotten for the LOLS. I wish we got more balance with him.

brOTP - Banner and Thor. I really wish we had gotten more. I always love when opposites become friends and Hulk and Thor/Banner and Thor were just really great to play off of. I would love to see more interactions between Thor and Stephen Strange and/or Wong. We got that one great scene in Ragnarok and I wish we’d gotten more.

OTP - I honestly don’t have one canonically. I enjoyed Jane a lot in the last film, but by the time we finally wrapped up her and Thor so much time had passed and they didn’t click for me. Valkyrie is fun, but I definitely see her as more bi/same sex leaning and I’m just not super invested in any M|M ships for Thor. I might feel differently if I read more comics, but MCU wise, I just havent been super interested in any of his “love” interests

nOTP - Thorki. I dont care if they’re “not related” it’s squicky to me. I have tons of step-siblings and trust me, I’m not interested in any of them. It’s gross for me. Ship them if you do, Im not the ship police, but I hate this ship. (I havent seen it done, but same would go for Sylvie if that’s floating around at all)

random headcanon- Wong definitely holds a grudge against Thor for breaking all those relic displays in Ragnarok when summoning Mjolnir. He definitely had to clean all that up. Thor has forgotten all about the incident and one day Wong is going to get his revenge and Thor is going to be completely blindsided.

I'm an absolute sucker for enemies/frenemies to lovers. My favourite ship dynamic is to involve some element of conflict to start with and then they can't help but lust after each other and/or fall in love (with ongoing flares of feistiness). I think I've made this a little difficult at times with God of Stories (Variant) because he's a lot softer and tends to show up either talking about High Stakes or approaches more gently, so I try to have him gradually regain his mischief elements whilst balancing playing God of Mischief (OG Loki) who's still a lot snarkier and finds it easier to misbehave.

That said, I would love to work on expanding Loki's relationships for adjacent partners so he can be that asshole brother/in-law in the background and also play around with being a traditional Loki antagonist. I usually like to give him the shippy wish fulfilment he'll never get in canon but there's a reason we like him also being a blaffy comic book villain/anti-hero. Maybe I should kidnap a hero soon.

The first thing is whether I have time for another partner with the schedule I have. Then it's whether I'm interested in the muse, which generally falls into a category of how well I know them, whether I think I have stories to tell with them, and whether I'm attracted to them (because sadly yes shipping is a big part of my experience here and if I'm not feeling it, it's hard for my Loki to do so). This last one is of course negated when it's a child or relative muse (my thorki/helki interests aside).

The next stage of the vetting process is the mun. Is there actually role-playing going on here with examples of writing or is it just months of gifsets and/or negative ooc comments. Is there a bunch of drama? The first few pages of a blog and especially the Rules page can give me a good indication. We're all human, we have bad patches, sometimes we've only just started out, but if you've just followed me and there's nothing on your blog that's telling me I'll vibe with you or that you'll stick around and develop things with me, I'm not liable to bite. I get that it's a bit unfair that I can rarely write with a newbie because of this. I need to see examples of writing. I'm a seasoned role-player and my autistic brain can only handle a certain amount of grammatical mistakes or lack of enthusiasm or love in what you create. If you don't love what you're doing, if you need me to reassure your insecurities, it's not gonna work.

Aesthetics are low down on the list for me, although I will get very put off if I feel like you're more focused on making your writing look pretty; using fanciful words; and doing massive text walls of prose that either do nothing to progress the story or godmod your partners six way to Sunday than making this a team story effort. Plus, I'm an old fart now and I use desktop so I struggle with tiny writing on blogs and have to read everything on the dash view XD

To think there are people actually celebrating the death of a boy whose tragic and horrifying end even their fav regretted shows exactly how straight shippers/homophobes minds work, you know they are the ones who despise lucerys/aemond.

You can’t quote your books one second and dismiss the show then quote show and dismiss the book. Pick one.

This weird behaviour isn’t even something new. I’ve seen it enough times that now I just feel kind of tired. It’s just - sometimes it gets too much, the homophobic comments and attitude, people excusing women off their gross actions, not calling bastard women bastard, because gasp, we can’t do that. Not calling women rapists even if the book shows you they were that.

I am sorry Tom Riddle Sr, you have always been a victim and are still reviled by the mad fandom and author. Good of you to run from your rapist and never forgiving her. You deserve to be applauded for being brave.

As someone who likes Ben Barnes and adored his portrayal of Darkling, you could see how manipulative, power hungry he was, he was brilliant!

I can say without hesitation his character deserves to be in purgatory regardless of how good looking he is. Did I like how he controlled the volcra and came out of the fold, yes! Do I look forward to him being defeated? Yes!

It’s hilarious how far straight shippers will go to excuse a character’s horrendous actions. I am sorry if you think how he looked the other way with Genya is not extremely vile of him. What good person doesn’t care if the people they are supposed to care about are hurt like that?

And, no I don’t care if people ship Darkling and Alina or not. I read a few works of it on ao3 and laughed when most were grooming, that creepy parent kink, pseudo parent child relationship. It turned me off the ship completely.

I like Lucerys/Aemond but if you are going to sit there and say that boy deserved to die then I feel sorry for you. Though it doesn’t stop the straight purists from erasing the boy from HIS ship and putting their self insert/ofc and clogging the MM ship tag with their fem luc bull.

Have a bit decency, even his name tag says son. Ugh.

The best part of this whole thing is straight shippers getting upset and saying slash ship will be forgotten once xyz fem characters comes.

Geralt/Jaskier- 19k thousand fics and lots of fanart and shippable moments. Top ship on tumblr, pretty sure ship with Yennefer didn’t make it and has 2k fics. But they have sex scenes on the show so, yeah.

Steve/Aunty, I refuse to call her anything else. It’s laughed at by even casual viewers. My friend doesn’t ship Stucky and she was like, why’d he go back to aunt ? What is this?

Stucky and Stony’s popularity shouldn’t even be a surprise.

Mcu is so hell bent on shoving straight steve down people’s throats they have to specify he is not a virgin and had sex with a female in their lame shows. As if it’s a crime if he died virgin or is asexual. God, seriously!

And that show invalidated Bruce’s trauma. We should forget the man put a bullet in his mouth and care about their lame, dumb girlboss show character.

Merlin/Arthur- it’s been almost a decade and they are still loved.

Sirius/Remus- I needn’t elaborate, it’s that loved.

Thorki, it still remains to this day popular ship for both characters.

not loki with mary sue oc was loathed by people who don’t even care about thorki, so, there is that too.

Hannigram! Still beloved by so manys that it’s embarrassing if you try to say but the sex scenes were with females. Please don’t. You have to be deaf, blind and plain stupid if you think they werent a thing.

Anakin and Obi Wan, yup, it exists and is loved, even more after the show came.

I can go on but it would just become embarrassing and pitiable.
