Hey y'all
compliment people more
it really does wonders
I complimented my nurse today's hair and she was thrilled (she had really pretty dyed pink and yellow and orange hair that she said was partially an accident but it looked STUNNING)
plus she'd had a really bad day because a patient had yelled at her for something that wasn't her fault so I made sure to let her know she was doing great and it really seemed to help her feel better.
Just. Please. Find opportunities to compliment people.

"The sleeping giant of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has stirred.
In the past month, an avalanche of anti-pollution rules, targeting everything from toxic drinking water to planet-heating gases in the atmosphere, have been issued by the agency. Belatedly, the sizable weight of the US federal government is being thrown at longstanding environmental crises, including the climate emergency.
On Thursday [May 18, 2023], the EPA’s month of frenzied activity was crowned by the toughest ever limits upon carbon pollution from America’s power sector, with large, existing coal and gas plants told they must slash their emissions by 90% or face being shut down.
The measure will, the EPA says, wipe out more than 600m tons of carbon emissions over the next two decades, about double what the entire UK emits each year. But even this wasn’t the biggest pollution reduction announced in recent weeks.
In April, new emissions standards for cars and trucks will eliminate an expected 9bn tons of CO2 by the mid-point of the century, while separate rules issued late last year aim to slash hydrofluorocarbons, planet-heating gases used widely in refrigeration and air conditioning, by 4.6bn tons in the same timeframe. Methane, another highly potent greenhouse gas, will be curtailed by 810m tons over the next decade in another EPA edict.
In just a few short months the EPA, diminished and demoralized under Donald Trump, has flexed its regulatory muscles to the extent that 15bn tons of greenhouse gases – equivalent to about three times the US’s carbon pollution, or nearly half of the entire world’s annual fossil fuel emissions – are set to be prevented, transforming the power basis of Americans’ cars and homes in the process...
If last year’s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), with its $370bn in clean energy subsidies and enticements for electric car buyers, was the carrot to reducing emissions, the EPA now appears to be bringing a hefty stick.
The IRA should help reduce US emissions by about 40% this decade but the cut needs to be deeper, up to half of 2005 levels, to give the world a chance of avoiding catastrophic heatwaves, wildfires, drought and other climate calamities. The new rules suddenly put America, after years of delay and political rancor, tantalizingly within reach of this...
Tumblr media
“It’s clear we’ve reached a pivotal point in human history and it’s on all of us to act right now to protect our future,” said Michael Regan, the administrator of the EPA, in a speech last week at the University of Maryland. The venue was chosen in a nod to the young, climate-concerned voters Joe Biden hopes to court in next year’s presidential election, and who have been dismayed by Biden’s acquiescence to large-scale oil and gas drilling.
“Folks, this is our future we are talking about, and we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity for real climate action,” [Michael Regan, the administrator of the EPA], added. “Failure is not an option, indifference is not an option, inaction is not an option.” ...
It’s not just climate the EPA has acted upon in recent months. There are new standards for chemical plants, such as those that blight the so-called "Cancer Alley" the US, from emitting cancer-causing toxins such as benzene, ethylene oxide and vinyl chloride. New rules curbing mercury, arsenic and lead from industrial facilities have been released, as have tighter limits on emissions of soot and the first ever regulations targeting the presence of per- and polyfluoroalkylsubstances (or PFAS) in drinking water.” ...
For those inside the agency, the breakneck pace has been enervating. “It’s definitely a race against time,” said one senior EPA official, who asked not to be named. “The clock is ticking. It is a sprint through a marathon and it is exhausting.” ...
“We know the work to confront the climate crisis doesn’t stop at strong carbon pollution standards,” said Ben Jealous, the executive director of the Sierra Club.
“The continued use or expansion of fossil power plants is incompatible with a livable future. Simply put, we must not merely limit the use of fossil fuel electricity – we must end it entirely.”"

I've been continuing my quest to draw 100 different characters, once a day every weekday and a couple weeks ago was like... "Girls and Mecha" week. And I tried each time to have like... a different take on the theme but would still have certain similar aesthetics. With the exception of the "school girl" the other machines were inspired more with industrial or construction machines.
So like... here's a power loader type mech. And a power armor type design. Then there was like... a mecha pilot but all she got was a roomba. Then there was the "pilot" and there was the girl that is actually the mech for a tiny robot. Was fun!
I had this whole lore where it was some corporation fighting some future union rebels on some space planet. Maybe I'll expand more on that someday.
EDIT: It occurs to me I should probably include the flavor text from when I tweeted these out. I'll put them in the same order as the images here:
"You know Kimmie, from the loading docks? Yeah she took to the Pile Bunker like a champ. You should see her tear open the corpo APCs."
2. "The off world colony workers repurposed the excavator suits into mobile armor frames. Corporate needs you to shut this down, now."
3. "The workers at the BIG PLANT found a little creative solution for taking their work with them while moving through and monitoring the factory floor. They've taken to personalizing their "Desk-bas" thinking of them like their own little mecha."
4. "The Cortex Walker, inspired by some particularly cruel science fiction, was Corporate's latest attempt to demoralize the rebel factions. While impractical from a mechanical perspective, the psychological impact of firing on captured allies could not be understated."
5. "My Best Friend is An Alien (and Unfortunately That's my Type!)"

fine since apparently i was "rude" last time why do you include men in ur feminism
I already answered this on the main post, so I will copy-paste my reply here:
Because they're half of the population of Earth, and they're also harmed by the patriarchy.
I'm going to speak about American patriarchy here, because that is my primary perspective.
American Patriarchy promotes racism, homophobia, transphobia, antisemitism, xenophobia and all other forms of bigotry; these are all issues that harm men as well as women.
American patriarchy is a hierarchical system designed to keep a very specific type of man in control of society. In America, this man is white, able bodied and able minded, wealthy, Christian, cisgender and heterosexual. He is physically fit; muscular and not fat nor skinny. He is socially in control and aggressive. He is sexually promiscuous and boasts about his "conquests".
Think about the whitest, most "alpha male bro" you can picture, and that is what American patriarchy wants a man to be.
Most men do not fit that picture.
Most men suffer under the patriarchy for failing to match up to what it demands of them; boys who do not match up are abused by their mothers and fathers and peers and teachers into compliance, and are taught to do the same to their peers as they grow up, on the small chance that if they are cruel enough and contort themselves enough, they can earn the favor of privilege over others. It is incredibly harmful.
To circle back around to issues like racism, white American patriarchy is incredibly damaging to black men. Black men absolutely have every right and every reason to be involved in feminism and the fight to take down the patriarchy.
And so do disabled men. And gay men. And trans men. And every other kind of man on the planet. Because even the man who perfectly fits the "idea image" of the patriarchy is severely damaged by it through the act of conforming to its expectations. The expectations of the patriarchy on men are inherently and intentionally abusive, damaging, and demoralizing, intended to keep men under control to maintain the pyramid shaped hierarchy people like Jordan Peterson love so much.
If feminism's goal is to take down the patriarchy, why on earth would you tell 50% of your potential allies who are damaged by the system to sit on the sidelines and not participate in the fight?
It just makes no sense to me.
Oh yes and let me add some feminist literature onto this version of the post:
bell hooks "Feminism is for Everybody"

So the line “lead them to Paradise” isn’t in the Dune books. But it’s the coldest most bone chilling line Paul says. Because it marks the start of his 12 year long jihad. Note I’m not fully knowledgeable about the full lore of Paul’s rise to being full emperor and how it helps lead the way for his son Leto II.
This holy war, that is the correct path to start the way for his son to finish, is the least destructive way to reach the golden path.
He knows all that was and will be, and he knows this is the only way to do the least amount of damage and it will cause over 61 billion deaths, the complete sterilization of 90 planets, the demoralization of about 500 other worlds, and the complete wipe out of 40 known religions and the followers of said religions.
The only planet not touched by the holy war, is caladan, because Jessica tells them to stay off that one planet. Because it was her dukes planet, it is the home world of Paul. Of all that was before.
But this war, the war Paul tried so hard to find any other way around, is the path of least resistance, the path that will lead to what comes later in the form of Paul’s son, Leto II, who, his path is a wild one, his way to become god emperor is….thank god Chani doesn’t see her son become what he becomes cause…yikes.
But just think about the fact the best and truest path to good will cause 61 BILLION deaths, the compete wipe of 40 religions and death of their followers, the sterilization of 90 planets. And demoralizing of another 500 planets.
That’s the path of least resistance. Because Paul sees all, he knows all from both of his parental and maternal side, he bridges the gap between time and space.
God I can’t wait for dune messiah.

hello!
so, as is observable from my reaction to the news about tumblr and midjourney, i'm in a bit of a doomer mindset about the whole situation. i kinda left it a bit unclear as to where this blog would go from here, so i just thought i'd clarify~
i will not be deleting this blog, nor will i be deleting all of my posts-- but i think i will stop posting on here for the foreseeable future. life is kind of getting me down a lot already, and the prospect of continuing to make and post art in an environment where people's works are treated with increasingly less respect isn't something that has any appeal to me anymore, especially since i'm kind of struggling with drawing enough as is.
perhaps if my relationship with art improves or if i become more of a prolific artist then i might return to posting regularly on socials, but as it stands, i don't see much of a point in posting. my activity is infrequent enough anyways, so i don't think it will particularly matter if i stop LMAO
so, with that being said, i don't really have any 'here's where you can find me' links, save for these two
i will still participate in art fight yearly and i still stream art on twitch occasionally (though i might have my gamer arc on there eventually)
i'm not leaving the site (i still have my main and my selfship blog), but if you're interested in exclusively my art, that's all i have to offer, sorry ;w;
also: about people who say 'just glaze/nightshade your art!' i know this is a lazy opinion, but like, if i have to run my art through a bazillion different filters and programs and websites on the off chance it might make it poison to AI, i won't lie... i just don't think it's worth the effort. same with slapping a big ugly watermark on all of my art. like, what is even the point at that point
this isn't to say that artists shouldn't be doing those things-- please protect yourself and your works if you are willing and able! but i am just a rather defeatist person.
and i also know that my D tier artstyle isn't the kind of thing that is usually pulled to train on anyways, but the bottom line is that this whole situation is the last straw on an activity (art) that has been steadily demoralizing to me for years already. i don't want even the slightest possibility of contributing more to this shitty craze than i already have (unwillingly, considering data has probably been scraped already in years past). if i draw, it will exclusively be for myself, or as gifts for others
maybe i will change my mind about all of this one day- but honestly, my art pace already has slowed to an absolute crawl. i don't want this to get too vent-y, but... it's MARCH and i only have 4 completed pieces done this year. in reality, i only have one finished piece from this year! because the other 3 were wips at various stages from last year. in general i am kind of washed up and my passion is gone and my skills are lacking. so. . . not like anybody will be missing much! i was looking at stuff i drew in like 2020 and honestly there's barely a difference. i'm the most stagnant mf on the planet. and now i'm looking at the new wave of all of these 14 year olds that are actual god tier artists and i am like. genuinely so happy for them like i love that and they slay but GOD it makes me want to kill myself even more than i already do LMFAO. so, yeah

there were dozens of men left stranded on those platforms. maybe even hundreds. men like kino loy, who got to the end of the race and had to stop right before the finish line because they were never taught to swim. men whose bravery was outdone by their ability.
and of those who did dive - i wonder how many made it to shore. i wonder how many men succumbed to their injuries sustained while escaping. i wonder how many slipped under the waves due to fatigue.
i wonder how many didn’t know how to swim and jumped anyway.
were there creatures in the water? riptides? chemicals? did any of the men come from planets unsuitable for salt? did anyone see a teammate get abruptly pulled under? did they fear it might happen to them, too? or did people see friends sink below the surface, wanting to help but knowing there was nothing to be done within the crush of people?
i wonder how they felt when they reached the shore, how many collapsed into the dust from exhaustion and how many immediately ran. i wonder if people found friends they were separated from in the escape. i wonder how they decided to stick together. was it an unsaid agreement? were they bonded in their trauma such that they never even considered leaving each other? or perhaps they argued about their best course of survival - easier for one man to slip through security than two.
i wonder if any of them promised to check in when they reached safety. if any of them got their feet under them on solid ground and realized they had nowhere to go. if any of them knew they had no one to go back to. if any of them went home at all.
and though the prison had wanted to demoralize and dehumanize them, those men had names. they were used as slaves the empire barely spared a thought for - but it was because of that ignorance that they could organize their rebellion.
now that they’re free, the empire will notice. the empire does not forget an insult like this so easily - they still have not forgotten aldhani. there will be no forgiveness. the empire will hunt them, just as they hunt cassian andor. even as they run, the imperials close back in on them. the escapees may be out of their cells, but they can never truly be liberated as long as the emperor lives.
when the empire arrives, i wonder what will happen to those men left behind.

Y'all are right. Taylor Swift is a selfish person too spoiled to be bothered about her global warming impact or whether the song lyrics she writes are actually hers or not. Among other things. There are plenty of reasons to mock her, ridicule her, and insult her. Additionally, a great number of her fans will deny all of her shortcomings in an attempt to morally justify their enjoyment of her songs — something which does not require justification — and, thus, there are as many reasons to insist on calling these fans to action as there are reasons to despise Taylor Swift.
But the songs themselves? You don't get a free pass to mock, ridicule, and insult those.
Whether she wrote the lyrics or not, those lyrics resonate with a great many people. Maybe you think they're the dullest, cringiest, most basic lyrics on the planet. Doesn't fucking matter. I find a lot of art to be dull, cringy, and basic. I also understand that art is subjective. What is shallow and nonsensical to me might be insightful and captivating to someone else. Furthermore, art exists on a continuum of quality. Just because art isn't "high brow" (aka appealing to elitist snobs) doesn't mean that it has no meaning or that it's not worth enjoying. To the contrary, all art has meaning. All art says something. I guarantee that at some point in your life you've enjoyed art that is poor in quality, too.
Regarding Taylor Swift specifically, I've seen countless posts (even from people I respect) mocking, ridiculing, and insulting the songs and lyrics of her most recent album which largely focuses on mental illness. Whether or not Taylor Swift is actually mentally ill and whether or not Taylor Swift is appropriating mental illness as an aesthetic for profit, I need you all to understand something very important:
A majority of the people for whom those songs/lyrics most resonate are almost certainly mentally ill themselves.
In other words, when you mock, ridicule, and insult those lyrics/songs, you are mocking, ridiculing, and insulting the things with which actually mentally ill people have identified. You are telling them that they are stupid and pathetic and "cringy" for finding some kind of catharsis from the things that make their life hell.
I am no fan of Taylor Swift. Aside from a couple of her better songs here or there, I'm not even a fan of her music. However, I find it extremely alarming that Tumblr's userbase, a userbase which often claims to have moved past their "make fun of things that teenage girls are probably into" phase, is once again united in making fun of things that teenage girls are probably into. In my social circles, I've even seen people who claim to be advocates for those with disabilities, mental illness, and/or neurodivergence call these songs/lyrics "cringe" or similar — even after reblogging countless posts reminding people that calling things "cringe" is just an excuse to be ableist to neurodivergent people. As a mentally ill and autistic person, I am finding the double standard there to be incredibly demoralizing.
If you hate Taylor Swift, consider making more videos about her excessively wasteful flight itineraries. Personally, I'd even like to see some statistical graphs analyzing her CO2 emissions in comparison to airline companies and other celebrities. You could also make posts revealing more hypocrisies and inconsistencies between her statements and actions (that do not relate to her songs), particularly "feminist" statements she's made that exclude women of color. You could also make posts listing the names of the actual authors of many of the songs she has claimed so that they can receive recognition and praise they deserve from her fans. These are just a few examples of ways to channel your hatred in more constructive ways.
What I do NOT want to see are casual instances of blatant sexism and/or ableism on my dashboard every time she releases an album. You're not gonna change the world by laughing at an out-of-context lyric from a song on the radio. If you don't know how to keep your justified opinions and your personal tastes separate, you're not "raising awareness." You're just being a fucking ass.

Modron, Quarton
Tumblr media
Image © @tredlocity
[In the original Monster Manual 2, quartons have absolutely no unique abilities whatsoever. Which allowed them to be a blank slate for me. So I gave them powers of crafting and construction, and also a bunch of references to the spells and magic items of original AD&D that assumed that high level characters would settle down and build their own dungeons. On a related note, is the lyre of building a joke about Nero? Or is there some myth or story about construction sped up by playing a lyre that I don’t know?]
Modron, Quarton CR 18 LN Outsider (extraplanar) This humanoid giant has four arms, two enormous and two small. It has fan-like wings growing from its back, and a head like a helmet. A symbol of a diamond sits on the center of its forehead.
Quartons are the modron hierarchs that represent Primus’ mastery over artifice. They are engineers and builders of incredible skill, mixing magical and mundane techniques to create buildings and tools that are unparalleled throughout the planes. They often act as architects and supervisors, coordinating the efforts of lesser modrons to perform the bulk of the labor, and then adding the finishing touches to optimize efficiency. As such, a single quarton may oversee construction projects throughout Regulus, delegating to a team of decatons for most of the day-to-day affairs.
Although quartons have four arms, they are decidedly uneven in size. The smaller pair is used for spellcasting, while the larger pair is used for combat and manual labor. A quarton typically carries a massive two-handed hammer as a badge of office, and blows with this hammer can shatter inanimate objects and clear earth and stone with ease. A quarton often focuses its strikes in combat on enemy gear rather than on their flesh, hoping to demoralize foes and persuade them of the wisdom of surrender. If this fails, or if fighting chaotic enemies, the quarton instead fights with maximum lethal efficiency.
As quartons rarely leave the bustle of Regulus, they provide tools in order for other modrons to fulfill the will of Primus on other planes or planets. Their workshops build the vast majority of the weapons wielded by modrons, and they also provide hierarchs on the Great Modron March with tools for securing and defending territory. Instant fortresses, lyres of building, and simple scrolls of stone shape and move earth are provided to expeditionary forces. On the rare occasions where a quarton leaves Regulus, it is usually to inspect a site captured by modrons to determine if it is suitable for long-term occupation, and to design fortifications to spec if it is.

The abilities granted must be appropriate for the type of weapon or armor, and the quarton cannot confer any ability with an alignment other than lawful. A quarton cannot use this ability on the same piece of equipment multiple times at once, but can use it to increase the enhancement of already magical weapons or armor. A bonus conferred in this way lasts for 20 minutes. A quarton can use this ability a number of times per day equal to its Charisma modifier. Spells A quarton casts spells as an 18th level cleric with access to the Artifice domain. Titanic Strikes (Su) A quarton deals double damage to inanimate objects with its weapon attacks, and can use any tool to clear earth or stone as per a mattock of the titans. Ultimate Craftsman (Ex) A quarton gains a +8 racial bonus to all Craft skills, and gains four item creation feats as bonus feats. A quarton can create non-magical items in ¼ the time as normal. By meditating for eight hours, a quarton can change one or more of the Craft skills it is trained in to another Craft skill.

Honestly, one of my biggest issues with Cosmic Fury is the fact that they just turned Kyuranger’s main villains into absolute clowns just so they could have Lord Zedd back as the villain. It’s not even because they’re delegated to more minor roles, many major villains in Sentai have been put into more minor roles in PR and vice versa, it’s because they’re treated as absolute jokes for the purpose of hyping up Zedd. Like don’t get me wrong, it’s the anniversary season, so of course they’re gonna bring back one of the most iconic PR villains, but it doesn’t mean you dumb every other villain down to emphasize how threatening he is. Like seriously
Ikagen: Opened all kinds of whoop ass on the Kyurangers, had a hand in killing the Rebellion’s previous leader which gave Shou massive survivor’s guilt, and severely demoralized Lucky after one of their confrontations.
Inkworth: Is reduced to being a butler, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, there’s plenty of badass butler characters, but Inkworth is just constantly pushed around by Zedd and Bajillia (as an aside why did the Naires need to exist?) Credit where credit is due, he put up a good fight, but other than that…
Scorpio: Singlehandedly drives Stinger’s character forward at first, planned to usurp Don Armage, shows barely any remorse for the atrocities he committed, and offlined Champ for several episodes.
Krymzo: …A dance-themed MotW that’s dispatched with barely any difficulty.
Kukuruga: A highly capable fighter and one of the villains who serves directly beneath Don Armage himself, had major involvement in the devastation brought to Lucky’s home planet and tried to emotionally devastate him by convincing him that he was the one who killed Lucky’s father.
Doodrip: An absolute idiot who’s delegated to being laughingstock and another one of Zedd’s punching bags. Sure he brainwashed Ollie but that doesn’t do much to make him better.
Quervo: Literally the willing vessel of the sentient universal embodiment of despair and suffering that wants to destroy the universe solely because he was jealous of Tsurugi.
Omwhyzo: His only personality trait is “simps for Squillia” and is defeated by Tarrick, who wasn’t even armored at the time.
Seriously, this is supposed to be the last season of the original PR continuity, and instead of making villains beside Zedd and Bajillia actually threatening, they make every other villain comic relief and act like clowns that got lobotomized from eating too many lead paint chips. At least In Space, Wild Force, and RPM, other “final seasons” had actual stakes and villains that are treated as legitimate threats, and the comic relief doesn’t take up 90% of the antagonistic cast.

Strap in, Rimmers. This is a longpost.
Tumblr media
At the end of the time of Valley Station, I wanted an entirely new spin on the last colony I was about to build in my pursuit of the Archonexus. I would call this one Artifact Plains. Set on a cold, flat grassland biome up near the North Pole of this planet.
Tumblr media
With scarce building materials, I set myself up in the ancient danger as a temporary camp, looting the surrounding ruins for supplies and buildings like the heater. The bugs inside were swiftly dealt with, dying to Volz's charge sniper rifle and Mei's monosword. In the fighting, the cryptosleep tombs were damaged and automatically opened. I do not plan on keeping any of the wayward souls that emerged.
Tumblr media
Inside the hermetic crate was a persona eltex lance called Naga, I gave her to Fuller.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ancient danger quickly grew into more than just a temporary camp, but it was still quite shabby as a barracks, a workshop, a warehouse, a rec room, and a laboratory all in one. (I got all the Archotech eyes and synthetic hearts when Mei killed a bunch of bionic thrumbos and we butchered them)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Such compactness was necessary as I began work on what would be the final grand temple to the Archonexus. It's so hard creating circles in RimWorld without mods, this is actually an oval. It's slightly stretched upwards.
Tumblr media
As the Long Winter set in, I began to expand on the temple structure even more. I planned that this would be a very communal type of colony. With huge rooms serving multiple purposes in loosely-divided areas. Geothermal power plants would provide heat and power on every corner, and the "inner sanctum" of the structure would hold smaller structures. Like a Mechanitor laboratory, shrine, hospital, travel hub, and courtyard.
Tumblr media
Such plans were quickly dashed as I checked the quest tab and realized I already had the wealth to pursue the Archonexus. Hm...
Tumblr media
It's a bit demoralizing. This is my holy mission, so I can't just ignore it. But it's just demoralizing how all of my colonies get smaller and less grand than the one before it. All my pawns are so good and so augmented that they are worth forty times the price of an un-augmented pawn, and they work at four times the speed while needing half of the sleep, food, and recreation.
At the same time, though, I was getting a bit bored, and was ready to wash my hands of this playthrough. So, for old time's sake. Here's First Factory, Valley Station, and Artifact Plains compared to one another.

Kirbtober 2023 Day 29: Last Battle Ability
No one knows who created the Star Rod - variations on who made it vary from people to people, from the Ancients to the first members of the GSA to some other civilization sick of Nightmare's shenanigans, but everyone agreed it was made to deal with Nightmare, who was becoming an extremely annoying threat... but it became incomplete due to it being made in a rush. But it still proves to be one hell of an insane weapon against Nightmare anyway, so the creators had no choice but to find an isolated planet, created the Fountain of Dreams in order to power it up while the creators are away, all to hide it from Nightmare. And to the surprise of absolutely no one at this point, guess which planet that was now? Planet Popstar, of course. Thanks to the Fountain of Dreams charging the Star Rod for so long, its influence spread through the area, resulting in the area of Dreamland constantly having good dreams. In all honesty, the rod was made using Dream Matter magic, of course something like this happens. The funny thing? None of the Dreamland citizens KNOW about the Fountain of Dreams. None, not even Meta Knight knows, all they heard was this legend of the Star Rod being a viable weapon to defeat Nightmare. In fact, the reason Kirby can summon it by inhaling the Warp Star was because the supposed 'final bout' happened in his dream, which means Nightmare did a whoopsie and tried to demoralize the puffball in his own turf. Good job, Nightmare. Fortunately, when Nightmare was defeated, a part of his soul that was hidden somewhere manages to revive him, and he sets off to find the Star Rod... and by coincidence, Dedede was going to look into the legend as well. Of course, it's real, and Dedede was extremely surprised when he knew it really wasn't some random legend... oh, and Nightmare's ready to kick his ass, so he acted fast and just sealed the sorcerer before spreading the parts of the rod to random locations and even people he knows he can trust - one of them being Meta Knight. Of course, this causes mass confusion, as people lost their good dreams and just can't sleep. Thanks to Kirby's impulsivity and Tiff and Tuff mainly still being suspicious of Dedede, this entire plan goes into the trash can and Kirby ends up fighting Nightmare with the real Star Rod anyways. After all of this scuffle was solved and all the people who got pulled into this made sure that Nightmare is truly, absolutely f^cking dead, everyone in Dreamland was made aware of the Fountain of Dreams and Star Rod's existences. Since then, the Fountain of Dreams became a rather sacred ground, and the Star Rod became Kirby's first legendary weapon that he wielded that isn't the Galaxia. Kirby still sometimes enter the place himself just to sit there... doing nothing... sometimes taking the Star Rod off its place for a moment... Probably looking at the stars. Who knows what he really does...

All my Tarot Card designs Check this card out on my Patreon for free!
Yuki-chan!
So I know I said I was gonna move onto the Page of Cups next, but I was struggling a bit with the shading since I was trying something super different so I was working on the Page of Wands concurrently.
This one was a lot of fun! I love Yuki and it was a blast to try something a bit different with this card.
Hand-lettering is still hard btw.
Interpretations are below the cut if you're interested!
The Page of Wands is a card of potential. Like the other members of the wand suit, there's a lot of passionate, creative energy within the page. They possess a deep knowing that they can do great things, but they aren't really sure how to bring this potential into the physical world.
Oftentimes, this lack of direction leads to the page trying to justify their lack of action: 'I'm too young,' 'I don't know how to do it,' 'what if I don't like doing that?'
But deep down, they know that the excuses they're making are simply due to their fear of the unknown. Just about every person on the planet has experienced it and the Page of Wands knows that this fear is holding them back from achieving greatness.
They're tired of sitting on the sidelines and feel that it's about damn time they take a deep breath and take the plunge. What if-ing the rest of their life away will just bring endless regrets in the years to come.
Reversed, we see a page that never ends up taking that first step. They're dissatisfied with their life, jumping from one project or job to the next and leaving once they feel a little too uncomfortable or their attention is captured by something else.
The page appears flippant or uncaring, but deep down, they're bothered deeply by the way they're coasting through life, never really leaving a mark on anyone they meet.
Their reality isn't lining up with who they know they are, deep down and that's extremely troubling to them.
But the page is still young. They can still take those risks and make that first jump; they just need to figure out what's holding them back in the first place.
I thought Yuki in 0 was a great choice for this card! Her sorta 'arc' in the hostess minigame was going from a shy, quiet woman to the best god damn hostess in Sotenbori.
At the beginning, it felt like Yuki didn't really know what was special or unique about her (she doesn't recognize that Bonsai is a cool as hell hobby to have or that she's great at talking to older men). She was constantly overlooked in interviews and was really struggling to get her life started. When she starts at Sunshine, her self confidence is pretty low.
This falls pretty in line with the reversed Page of Wands and the dissatisfaction and frustration in yourself that comes with the card. It's really demoralizing to be consistently ignored and overlooked by the people around you. After a while you start to believe that there's no hope of ever making something more of yourself.
But Yuki isn't one to give up.
Instead of accepting her fate of being painfully average, she figures out what's holding her back (her inability to talk to others) and finds a job that will force her to do the thing she's not good at.
Of course she's not amazing in the beginning. Being in a situation where you're expected to hold a conversation doesn't guarantee that you'll suddenly be a master at it. But as time goes on and Yuki makes new friends and grows more and more confident in herself, she proves to be one of the best hostesses Sunshine has.
In Yuki's journey, we see that nothing is really ever set in stone. There's always the opportunity to grow and change as a person-- you just have to decide that the change is worth the discomfort and fear you might experience along the way. Spend some time looking inward and try to identify what's holding you back. Ask your cards if you need some help.

(Laughs/cries at how late I am)
Work has been so busy recently and I've been heads down working on my latest fic, but the amazing @lilredghost and @dark--whisperings both tagged me in this game!!!
How many works do you have on ao3?
Seventeen!
(Me: Wait, really??? That's awesome!)
2. What's your Ao3 word count?
188,000 words!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
My jam these days is Star Wars (Obikin) but previously I was involved in MCU verse (Stony, TaserTricks). I am also eyeing some potential fics in OFMD and Lokius...if I ever get the time lol.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
FML, Darcy Lewis Style (627 kudos) Loki/Darcy Lewis, AU
Forget Me Not (426 kudos) Anakin Skywalker/Obi-Wan Kenobi, Tatooine AU amnesia fic
If You'll Let Me (376 kudos) Steve Rogers/Tony Stark, A/B/O AU
A Different Sort of Knife (303 kudos) Anakin Skywalker/Obi-Wan Kenobi, Sith Obi/Padawan Ani AU
A Perfect Distraction (243 kudos) Anakin Skywalker/Obi-Wan Kenobi, the lip gloss fic
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes! Comments are my favorite thing and I love reading and responding to them! They're honestly one of the best motivations to keep me writing...I've changed fics mid-plot just because of comments lol.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hmm...probably Lie To Me or While You Were Gone, both Sherlock (Johnlock) fics. Both stories are very dark and gritty, especially WYWG, and I think I might have been going through *some stuff* when I wrote them that influenced how they turned out lol. I absolutely adore WYWG - it's one of my favorite fics that I've written.
For Obikin, the angstiest fic is probably Away From Me (Don't Fall) which is a post-Order 66 fic where Anakin's fall to the Dark Side caused Obi-Wan to fall as well. It's a recent fic and I've got a sequel half-drafted just waiting to be finished. There's a twist at the end that I won't spoil...you'll have to go read it if you want to know what happens 👀
7. What's the fic your write with the happiest ending?
Ohh..that's a tough one! I always strive for happy endings (no pun intended) even in fics that are literally just porn (in which case, pun definitely intended).
I think To Tell The Moon has a very sweet happy ending. It's a same-age AU where Anakin and Obi-Wan are both padawans and end up taking part in winter festivities on a planet during a mission. It's a very wholesome fic all around (though since it's me, there is some angst haha).
The next one would probably be Forget Me Not and A Perfect Distraction, which I linked above, if only because both of them feature Obi-Wan getting what he wants and deserves, which he never does in canon, and I want him to be happy.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not in a long time, thankfully. When I first started writing fanfic I did get some hate which was very demoralizing but eventually I just decided to tell those people to fuck off very kindly. I've been so lucky to be in fandoms where everyone is pretty accepting and supportive 💕
9. Do you write smut? What kind?
👀😉😎 Check my AO3. There's smut. I'm a big fan of dirty talk and D/s undertones. Obikin delivers plenty of opportunity !
10. Do you write cross-overs?
Not yet! I would love to try one day if the opportunity presented itself.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not yet, but I would love that if anyone every felt so inclined! Same with podfics.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
I have not but that would be an interesting experience!
14. What's your all time favourite ship?
That's such a tough question haha. If I had to choose, I'd pick, in no particular order:
Obikin
Hannigram
Kylux
Dinluke
Spideypool
Geraskier
15. What's your WIP you like to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I want to go back and finish A Different Sort of Knife one day. I had such a fantastic time writing Sith Obi-Wan and his catnip Padawan Anakin. I hope that I get the motivation to go back to it.
I just finished a WIP that I had started last year and ended up coming back to it after a hiatus (Forget Me Not), so there is hope!
16. What are your writing strength?
I like to think that I'm good at characterization. It's something I obsess over when I'm writing, to the point that I end up throwing out whole passages if I don't feel like I'm conveying the character correctly. I've been told that my descriptions and metaphors are good, which is lovely to hear ❤
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Probably that it takes me too long to write something haha.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I love reading fics with dialogue in other languages! It adds so much depth to the story and is very immersive.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
MCU (Loki/Darcy Lewis). Back when I thought I was straight, but Tom Hiddleston and Kat Dennings are both babes so I stand by it.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Probably To Tell The Moon or Forget Me Not.
***
Phew, that was fun! Thanks so much for the tags!
To keep this rolling, I'll tag in @demon----dean, @nixie-deangel, @renlyslittlerose, @dreaminghour in case you haven't already been tagged!

What about a star themed quirk? Or maybe one based on the moon!! OH WAIT COULD YOU DO A SERIES ABOUT LIKE DIFFERENT PLANET THEMED QUIRKS!! USING LIKE ACTUAL INFO BASED OFF THE PLANETS I THINK ITD BE COOL!!
I’ve been trying to figure out a quirk related to the moon have any ideas ?
So there are a lot of potential ideas in a Quirk based around the moon, having a lot of real world information behind and being tied to a lot of figures and concepts in folklore. I sort of mixed and matched here them, using both real life science and mythical concepts to make a Quirk. And if this doesn’t do it for you, you could always try “Orbital”.
I see it working as a Transformation type Quirk allows the user to alter their eyes, forming a white crescent from their iris. This crescent can absorb natural light and fire it out as a white light up to medium ranges in a straight line. When this light touches someone, it induces and increases negative emotions in the target. This can drastically alter the target's mood, suddenly filling them with different emotions when the light touches them. This effect lasts depending on how long and how much of the light touches them, with even a graze altering their mood for some time. This becomes more pronounced if the light hits the target's eyes. The user can choose what emotions are targeted and who is targeted by the effects. This gives the user a unique support tool, letting them fill their foes and allies with emotions. They can invigorate their allies with rage, demoralize foes with sadness, throw foes off balance with anxiety, paralyze people with fear, or just use their eyes like flashlights. Though the Quirk requires natural light to work and cannot hold it for long, often requiring direct light to properly use the power. Enemies can avoid the worst of the effects by covering their eyes or blinding the user. The targets can still act on their own, even under the effects of negative emotions. A possible name for the Quirk could be "Lunacy"

Couldn't they just stay like this? Couldn’t they just live in the car the forever? Skirting the demands of society; those fucked up social rules, those expectations, the fabricated fantasy of it all? Why did they have to partake in someone else’s false construct, just because everyone else agreed with it? These tacit, human systems were monstrous. They were demeaning, demoralizing and destructive: not only to people, but to everyone one else living on the Mortal Plane. Hell, they were even destructive to the planet Herself. Without the Threads of Life weaving everything together, all cyclical motion would stop, and everything and everyone would erode into nothingness. Why where humans seemingly so insistent on making that outcome a reality? It sickened Alessi. Everything about modern life sickened him; it had no place for him, and he had no place for it. So why shouldn’t they just stay like this? Why shouldn’t he and Sam drive around in Ellie together, existing like a poem?
Day to day, moment to moment, line to line word to word …
Why not, indeed.
