So I was just reading the latest struggling dad au news and it just got me thinking. Does Yan hao ever get sick? I know thwy are like immortal monkeys but-

I can just imagine wukong spending an entire day next to his son nursing him. Finally after an entire day of helping fight off a fever he "falls asleep" and macaque shows up to check on his cub. (he came the previous night but Yan hao was starting to show signs of sickness so he left to do some research and find medicine) -

He takes a minute to cook at him and soothe his fur back. Then takes out a small flask of medicine and gently get Yan hao to drink it. The entire time he doesn't know wukong is actually awake and actively watching him he is too absorbed in taking car of his cub. Until wukong grabs his wrist, doesn't pull him in he doesn't want to wake Yan hao, macaque eyes snap to him a little panicked but wukong just runs his fingers across macaque wrist and asks him to stay. Macaque hesitates for a few seconds but after hearing his cub wine in his sleep he changes the cubs forehead rag and gently climbs in next to him.

The following morning macaque is gone but Yan haos fever has broken and he is sleeping peacefully.

You know what! This made me tear up. Thank you for inspiring me to draw a fluff scene. 😩💕

Also yes, Yán Hào can get sick because he’s a mortal cub so he doesn’t have immortality like both his parents.

Angela Jim is going to have a very sweet talking head. He's going to say, To be honest, I can't believe he didn't call her back. Who doesn't call a dork like that back? And now Jim is going to arrive dressed in the Popeye costume with Cece as Sweet Pea. Her hero.

Jenna Well, John is very much like Steve. They both just love kids so much. And John and I would just dote on those little babies all the time.
