I'm gonna say something that might or might not anger some people.
GREEK MYTHOLOGY HAS NO CANON!!!!
And this is something you will very much find when researching the myths. With many version, retellings and localizations you'll find many myths that contradict other myths and even themselves.
An example would be the Illiad by Homer saying that Aphrodite & Hephaestus were never married and that Hephaestus is married to one of the graces. And then in the Odyssey, also by Homer, it says that Hephaestus and Aphrodite were married and that Aphrodite is cheating on Hephaestus with Ares.
Then the myth of Artemis and Orion, with one version saying that the two were in love and another saying that Artemis very much disliked Orion and summoned a giant Scorpion(the Scorpio constellation) to kill him.
To simply put it, saying that greek mythology has a canon is the same as saying that the USA is the perfect country.
And this why, when someone talks about something in Greek mythology, it very much annoys me when someone else goes "well, actually..."
It's stupid, and honestly, feels a bit like gatekeeping.

Wait a second, if Oscar Issac is Battison's Harvey, who would be his Joker, his Ghostmaker?
I mean, Danno!Enygma is fantastic as an enemy, my bets would go to Pedro Pascal as Ghostmaker (I want to see Oscar's dynamic with Pedro both being enemies of Bruce's attention, each for different reasons).
But Joker? Who would have the profile to play the Joker for Battison?
OOo so here's the thing, I'm not into Ghostbat or Joker at all so I don't really think about it!! I also kinda casted Pedro as Jim because uhhh. I'm a whore like that sjsjs

Also, I think that "pinhead is an unambiguously evil jerk that tortures people for fun" isn't as scary as "pinhead is an otherworldly, sadomasochistic being that does not and can not grasp the fact that humans dislike pain".
Like, he thinks that torturing and being tortured is the funnest thing in the world, and he wants to share that with humans, not realizing that his idea of a good time are at odds with his.

ngl i dont get this "yeah im a lesbian but i almost exclusively write for male characters". like im a lesbian too and dont get me wrong being completely honest many of my fave characters are dudes but like... i dont really get anything out of seeing them on sexual situations? especially if theyre on sexual situations with a reader self insert? like i get writing a lot of male smut for comissions since the market is probably bigger but like writing almost exclusively about men for free??? writing and imagining self insert porn with characters you arent in theory even attracted to on your own free time? whats the point? this just seems to go beyond the "lesbian with a guy blorbo" meme at this point
that's,,, sort of a valid question? i think it's a little hard to wrap your head around the differences between being attracted to a fictional idea of a person and a real, actual, living breathing dude and to be able to differentiate between attraction to gender and attraction to the baggage that gender comes with in general, so it's not like i can really blame you for asking.
i wouldn't really say i get anything out of the smut i write either, but i do like writing it, and there are a lot of male characters i genuinely adore because, although i do find men gross irl,,,, they don't behave like irl men? they don't have the same internalized behavioral patterns and socialization that turns me away from real men with real baggage, i guess? it helps that a lot of the games i play have prominently male casts, so that sorta helps to build a bias, too. that, paired with the fact that i respect women too much (real or fictional) to make them into feral little guys, which is not a problem i have my collection of male blorbos.

(Trollhunters spoilers!)
Angor Rot really did deserve better.
His soul was stolen and he was basically a slave for who even knows how long, and then every time he died (except the last) he was forcefully brought right back to serve again.
He tried to work with Jim, made a deal that would benifit both of them greatly- and sure, we can't know for sure if he would have honored his end of things, but I do believe he would've. Like. At this point, he has nothing really personal against Jim- maybe Claire after she took the staff but that's not quite important here. He does have VERY personal problems with Strickler and Morgana (who Gunmar serves and is going to free if he gets out, which Strickler's plans were leading to)- so severing the soulbond with Barbara and killing Strickler would be easy, bring justice to Strickler and prevent Morgana's return. Also, it is a very good "thanks for my soul back (sort of), sorry for trying to slaughter you and your friends, lets never interact again" gift for Jim.
He flipped out and attacked Jim but 1) in his perspective Jim just suddenly appeared in his cave and that's not cool. 2) Jim was very clearly going to try and put the ring on, so I am not going to be blaming Angor for trying to stop/kill him before he could. The man just wants to be free.
He very clearly hates everything Morgana and Gunmar do, though he does stay with them- and sure, he can't be controlled anymore but what was he meant to do? Morgana would have dragged him back if he left and killed/imprisoned/controlled him if he fought against them. I'm sure about this. But he still voices disagreements, he still calls them out, he still saves Draal after empathizing with him.
And then there's the final battle with Morgana, and Angor betrays her. At this point he does have solid reason to hate Jim and all his friends, but stopping Morgana is leagues more important. I don't think he would've turned on them if he'd survived after she was defeated either, I think he'd want to rest. To finally, for once, rest.
But he doesn't survive. Instead, Jim kills him- or at least starts the process. Sure, Angor was restraining Morgana and it was an opportunity that they could not miss, but. Did he have to impale them both? Did he really? Angor isn't even mad, he accepts it, gives a last line, "well played, trollhunter", he might even approve. But did it have to happen? Morgana may finish the job, but he was already dying. The pieces of his statue are, if I remember correctly, sent into the shadow realm.
And then. They don't even kill Morgana. Not because they didn't want to, it's because they couldn't, and I accept that, but. It feels so bitter. It's unfair.
And what happened to Morgana? She's trapped in the shadow realm, imprisoned in the very same place where Angor now lays dead, in pieces. The Witch and her Champion, inseparable even now. (and if she managed to revive him again? a nightmare.)
And maybe the worst thing is what we see in Wizards; they go back in time, Morgana begins her descent into villainy, and she's cast off a cliff into the water below. Dead. And Angor finds her. In this time of war and hate and bloodshed, in this time humans and magic are at each others throats, when Angor has no reason to sympathize with a human... he carries her body to shore.
Angor cares. Angor is kind. Angor doesn't see a fallen enemy or collateral damage- and also, trolls eat humans, Gunmar talks about this, but Angor doesn't fish Morgana's body from the water to eat as if she were some fish or something. Not even close.
He takes her because even if she's dead already she should be shown this respect at least. He lays her on the bank, he prays for her in death, and then he leaves. And the Arcane Order take her body, so easy to find and reach thanks to Angor, and they bring her back to life.
They bring her back and she rises to power and eventually Angor comes to her for help, and we all know how that ends.
Angor cared for the soul of a stranger, and so got his taken away.

Y'know Im not even gonna pretend to get ppl complaining abt the new skill trees because it makes Wilson less unique or whatever. Like there's plenty to complain abt with the skill trees, but you have to understand that the actual abilities Wilson gets from them are still unique, and still quite powerful in some cases. He rly isn't losing anything he hasn't lost by getting a skill tree in the first place, and in particular he could have a lot of use for certain speedruns and at worst is situational, which in itself means he's gained a unique role as a character. He doesn't need another new rework now or anything, the only rework Id want is a rework of the skill trees in general, Wilson is genuinely going to be just fine don't worry

I need to write again. I'm not a good writer or a good member of any fandom but I am good at one thing only and it's symbolism.
That's to say I want to write or to read or to something about Oswald sacrificing his eye to became who he has to be, for the knowledge, the final piece that will start his journey of detroning kings and becaming his own despot, of ruling the underworld once and for all. Of becaming the Batman Rogue we know. And in Gotham this knowledge is love, all he needed to finish the puzzle, his major flaw and bigest strenght of feeling way to much and this is amazing and beutifull. (And there are other Oswalds and other sacrifices in Mimir's well).
I want Harley throwing herself at the spear for her transformation. Sacrificing herself to Joker because it was the only way she could learn what the other side of her was, of suffering and finally coming out of it different. Of a Harley that always knew that there was something different inside her and that should've know there were better ways but between the promisse of the faster way and sweet lies jumped anyway (because she did consent what she didn't had was informed consentiment and that changes things, she could've become a rogue or an anti-hero or just part of that wolrd without Joker, would even but she was tricked into the spear wich yes diminishes the Odin symbolism but it gives her brand new ones as well).
I want Jonathan with his stupid knot necklace. Jonathan who hang himself on the Ygidrasil, harming himself and the world above him because he needed to understand it. He needed to know people, to know fear. He wanted to be wise enought to control and to rule and for a love of fear and a love of learning he tied the not and stayed there.
I want Edward playing by his own rules, cheating at his own games in a way he would never permit anyone else. Edward hidden in capes and glamour in a battle of wits for knowledge yes, always, but also for what he sees as just retribution. Asking and asking and asking and when it's too much going for the kill with things no one else could ever know. "What did Odin whisper in Balder's ears before he put him into the funeral pile?" And you can be mad and you can take the feathers of his back with your weapon but he won and he will keep winning and asking and asking and asking.
And I want Batman keeping his rogues alive but not better. Keeping the head of Mimir so to speak. Because while he wants better, would do better, he knows that the world is somehow worse than Gotham. That he needs them: alive and fighting and hurt, a sacrificial lamb of something he should protect, a problem to solve because in the end their endless fight is the aid he needs to be ready, is the head of Mimir for the knowledge of how to win wars, of how to keep the undefeatable, the Darksides of the world from destroying it.

This is very niche but like- JayKori, right. It appeals to me in the same way TimCassie (Tim and Cassie Sandmark) do. It's the. Want, no NEED to protect someone that you know, logically, can protect themselves just fine, because you care. It's letting yourself be spoiled and cared for, letting someone stand up for you, not because you can't do it yourself, but because you don't have to anymore. Or maybe it's the strong women and their human guys that adore them dynamic idk
For me it's exactly like that and also finding a place of solace in one another!! It's about Jason being protected and adored by someone he considers " pure'' and feeling unworthy, and Kori never getting tired of proving him wrong. It's about that savage, beastly something in Jason growing teeth when she's in danger and not being denied. It's about the shameless adoration with these two, truly, and I love it? So? Much? Specifically I am in love with Jason with a soft s/o because Kori CAN protect herself but have u considered big man putting gf behind him

i've long understood why representation is important but i don't think I actually felt for myself how important it can be until reading loveless and watching Isaac's journey in heartstopper this year... My best friend is ace, but we have very different opinions/feelings/experiences/whatever when it comes to this. I have known about the aro/ace spectrums for so long. And yet knowing and actually seeing/reading someone go through a similiar experience resonates with you unlike anything else.

I cant really bring myself to ship Surge with anyone from the main cast (Can't see her ever dating any of Sonic's hero friends + there's a incredible lack of girl villains her age) also there's the fact that she's definitly not in a good place to get into any relationship rn. No you can't fix her, she will make herself and her partner worse out of spite if you try dbksdbjd.
Guess that the only exceptions to my surge wouldn't wanna date anyone rule are:
-Surge x He/Him Lesbian Omega (they will make eachother worse but cmon it will be funny)
-Surge x Fiona (joke ship. I didnt read archie but from what i heard about Fiona they would also make eachother worse and it would either also be really funny or just plain tragic.)
