the thing i always loved about team rocket in the anime (i.e. jessie, james and meowth) is that they would never ever ever approve of hurting pokemon. steal them from their trainers, sure. maybe keep them in a cage temporarily. but every single time, their only wish was to deliver rare pokemon to the boss. in their minds, the pokemon they stole would live a rather lavish lifestyle as the boss' pets. its basically like theyre fully unaware of the experiments giovanni did with mewtwo and team rocket's other dealings that would hurt pokemon. i don't think they would be a part of team rocket at all if they even knew about that classified stuff. they're only a part of this because they're broke milennials who want to strike it rich quick. jessie in particular tries achieving this goal in other ways like being a coordinator and/or actress. beyond that, jessie and james are great pokemon trainers who have consistently shown how much they deeply care about their pokemon. they all share food together, they all blast off together, they are one big family and that's the gospel truth. every time they part with one of their pokemon, it's with tears (hate to say it but... unlike ash, who keeps leaving his entire team behind every time he travels to a new region without so much as a fond farewell to the group!). james in particular cried buckets leaving victreebel, weezing, cacnea, and chimecho. and then you have jessie parting with arbok and dustox. it's like, damn. these silly fuckers love their pokemon and they love pokemon in general. they care for meowth as well - there are multiple times where they show that they'd never leave him behind.
* Besides his “seems weird and suspicious but is literally just like that” and “he’s just like me” factor I swear this was also another reason I loved Otto so much. She has the cool grandma swag
im back for my monthly delusion and its alice this time BECAUSE WHY DOES NO ONE ELSE TALK ABOUT HER. OR RHINEDOTTIR. extremely powerful witches who are probably on equal power level to an archon just vibing and committing war crimes.
My greatest personal source of pain is that nobody has ever watched the show DCs Legends of Tomorrow (i mean i guess SOMEBODY has since it ran for 7 seasons on the CW. but none of my fags and dykes on here have) which I know is cringe bc it was technically a CW superhero show but god. that show had everything. they literally did alien mpreg
I think all the star wars fans out there need to listen to some sci fi podcasts, then re evaluate whether THIS is really the media you want to put your emotional investment into. Disney is such a piece of shit and they don't even hide it, just so many of us are either numb or perpetually angry to a point where it's emotionally draining. Just saying, Wolf 359 will make you ask questions that some of y'all desperately need to ask yourselves. Penumbra is hitting so many sci fi tropes and vibes but flat out doing it BETTER than Disney ever could. They're both like if Star Wars was actually as good as we pretend it is, and then better.
im autistic but no one picked up on it but my mom meets her kids where they are so it wasnt a big deal in my household. outside of it though. one time aunt gave me something and i said thank you and she said thank you what. and i stared at her wracking my brain trying to figure out what she wanted and said ....thank you maam? and she was like MAAM??? and i was like what do you want me to say?? and she said thank you aunty!! so i said thank you aunty. and then she told my dad about it. and he used it as a strike against me.
