Okay, so I have read a lot of fics where Dogma joins the Coruscant Guard post-Umbara as a way to protect him, or he joins the Guard because the 501st doesn't like him, but I have a new CG Dogma AU concept.

Rex sends Dogma to the Guard specifically to look after Fox. He KNOWS Fox is overworked and the Guard is understaffed, but Fox just isn't asking for help as much as Rex would like, so he sends Dogma over because if Rex can't be there to look after Fox himself, he might as well as send the next best thing. Dogma is a little skeptical about it at first, but Rex tells him that he is legitimately the best man for the job specifically BECAUSE of his personality (he's got reason to believe Fox will have a soft spot for someone who reminds him of Rex).

He tells Fox that this is something he and Dogma discussed because the kind of work the Guard does is a better match for Dogma, but that he's also one of Rex's most impressive soldiers. Fox sees right through Rex and is not impressed at being assigned a babysitter, especially not some barely-not-a-shiny sergeant from the 501st. It's almost insulting, but the paperwork has already gone through so he can't say no or just send Dogma back.

But Rex knew what he was doing and Dogma IS a lot like Rex and he thrives in the Guard and it turns out he gets along incredibly well with Fox and, due to some special insider info from Rex, is perfectly capable of helping keep an eye on his new Commander.

Edit: I charged like a bull seeing red, and forgot an important qualifier in the supposed redefinition of mansplaining. It's only mansplaining if the man thinks that they have higher qualifications than the woman purely because of sexism, which is a simple task to figure out, you just probe into someone's mind to see if they acted Wrong because they have the Evil kind of thoughts, the kinds of thoughts that must be purged and shown no mercy, not because they're neurodivergent or anything. I'm sure this is trivial to figure out, without any possible false errors. Especially given that mansplaining itself is often used as a demonstration of why someone is sexist.

And he had bled. Gale's body oozed black, skin, especially at his casting arm, rupturing like cracks in terracotta. He tasted filth always, the bitterness of wasting flesh thick in his throat, nose perpetually leaking with the ink-dark of bleeding. eye doctor was trying not to scare me today bc i have a sight threatening condition 🥲 it's probably treatable but i need to go to a specialist

#havent been to the eye doctor in six years but i was like okay i need to update my prescription my headaches are getting really bad #and my prescription barely changed so the doctor said it wasnt that #also this other condition doesn't cause headaches either so treating it wont even help :( #tho it does make me light sensitive which is a trigger ao maybe it will help a little i hope #but mostly i hope its treatable #also i have no health insurance so hopefully its not expensive lol #but at least the job search is going well so maybe i can handle the treatment myself #but since i will go blind if its untreated my parents will definitely cover it if i cant i just feel bad #they paid for my appt to get the new prescription today too but that wasn't very much i didn't even get the new glasses #but seeing a cornea specialist regularly to treat a scary condition is going to be expensive 😭 #i dont even know how expensive yet tho #maybe i should make a gofundme or something #this has been a shitpost #im not 100% sure my parentsncan afford it if its expensive #probably depends how far its progressing and how fast andnwhat the cause is and a million other things #but i know it can be difficult and resist treatment 😰 #and its not early for catching it at all
