skip black sails season 1 this and skip mash seasons 1-3 that, it simply seems odd to not watch the establishing parts of a story the first time you watch said story because they aren’t as polished as later on (as they’re busy doing the establishing part), under the guise of considering them “less progressive”
#there's something here about yes engage with what you want and how you want depending on your limits and desires#but the way some people frame these things is... very odd#and i think has much less to do with degrees of sexism or violence and much more to do with wanting to skip to the main part of the story#but those parts aren't as good if you don't first go with the opening (which in both of these cases is very good actually)#it's this: if you don't like beginnings of stories much because they're too messy obvs go right ahead#but don't try to frame it as a choice based on morals about the contents of said story#it feels like people really want things to be fanfiction -- oh we already know the world we just want the [insert tropes]#i feel like i see this a lot with season ones and that is the devil talking -- that is the netflix model of binge binge binge#that doesn't let you engage with a slowly building story because you want something big to happen Right Away#there's an awful lot of disclaiming going on -- just watch the fuckn story and draw your own conclusions#if it's not a trigger then people will be fine#this is a sign that i need to go to bed#why in the World would you start with mash s4 when it literally opens with hawkeye's panicked response to trapper's leaving?#and then goes on to show us a hawkeye who is a changed man because of the events of the end of s3#with characters regularly invoked?#and with relationships established (especially margaret's) that will be explored in-depth now that she's been firmly introduced#in many of her complexities?

im still kind of in disbelief that that the internet like...turned on lore olympus. i get the whole "once something is popular people make it their personality to hate something", and the "incredibly online people make age gap discourse about immortal gods bc they need to touch grass," and you're certainly not obligated to like it, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but like. it is a genuinely good comic. its issues are no worse than like, most serialized web comics that have to struggle with the medium, and its art style is engaging and interesting, and has improved a lot over time. i know there was a very t*rf-led movement on here a LONG time ago starting discourse about greek myths to get crypto t*rf shit about femininity across and i know thats where some critiques come from. and it's weird that many criticisms of "modern retellings" get blamed on lore olympus bc it doesnt actually follow them - like, demeter isnt some crazy bitch, she's a character with complexity and depth.
yes the original intent of the story is changed, a story that women in ancient times could relate to about the fears of marriage, but LO actually does what modern retellings of old stories do best - modify a story to serve a similar purpose, but reflecting the modern audience's contemporary issues. in this case, embracing the complexities of love and marriage as a survivor of sexual assault, something many modern women struggle with. persephone's relationship with demeter ALSO reflects a very real struggle many modern young women have, of finding identity and sexual agency as an adult when your entire life has been controlled by a helicopter mother, even with the best intentions, and with her own trauma.
i also find the criticisms of the body types and sexuality often misogynistic and weird - people want things with a distinct, interesting style, they want women with sexual agency to be promoted and not sanitized, and yet LO gets over-criticized. how persephone dresses, how the other gods dress, changes a lot depending on level of confidence, mood, etc, and is a part of the storytelling in an interesting way. you don't have to like it, and i know there's jokes about the LO art style of drawing women, but i have a body like some of those bodies. i know other people who do, or at least similarly. it's not like a lot of comics or manga or anime where everyone is a stick, and they get to be sexy! it's nice!
and when people complain that its the only webcomic people read well then thats a YOU problem. i read a LOT of webcomics. i talk about them to people, i recommend them. romantic and otherwise. do you? do you spend as much time complaining about lore olympus as you do talking up other cool webcomics that deserve attention?

Pairing: Henry Cavill x Hispanic/Latina! Reader
Summary: Y/N invites Henry Cavill to a carne asada after a month of dating
Warning: probably some stereotypical Latina/Mexican things because I'm half Mexican, no translated Spanish, unwanted comments from an aunt about weight (for me it’s with my mom) and about Henry, spelling and grammar errors

After a month of dating, Henry and Y/N were at his place, they were cooking tallarines saltado. Everything was going well and Y/N got a text.
“Give me a minute, guapo.” Y/N said, washing her hands to check her phone. It was a text from her mom. “Hey Henry, how do you feel about going to a carne asada? It’s this weekend, I know it’s a little soon to be meeting my parents, but I really don’t want to go alone.”
“Darling, it’s fine, I’ll go with you to the barbecue.” Henry said. He put the cut up steak into a pan to cook it along with the onions and tomatoes. “Why don’t you want to go alone?”
“Because my mom and my aunts are all going to be like ‘y el novio?’ Like I’m 32, not married or engaged, in their eyes…something is wrong. So please, my handsome British boyfriend, come with me to the carne asada.” Y/N practically begged, having her hands together in a praying motion.
“Yes, my tiny dancer, I’ll go to the carne asada.” Henry said, kissing her forehead and she was pouting with her arms crossed.
“I am not tiny, You’re just big.” Y/N said and her eyes widened at the last part of her sentence.
“In more ways than one.” Henry winked and kissed her. “Do we have to bring anything?” Y/N looked at him in a ‘are you kidding me’ kind of way. “Sorry, what are we bringing?”
“That’s better, and that depends. My mom usually makes her agua de Jamaica which is hibiscus water, don’t ask how it got the name, and red rice. Obviously my uncles bring the meat, um, I’m thinking, someone usually brings dessert which is like fruit salad and cookies, uh, carajo, no puedo pensar. Okay, I got it, we can make alfajores and picarones, mainly because I crave it.” Y/N said,
“What about really food? Should we bring macaroni salad?” Henry asked
“Never in my life have I ever seen macaroni salad at these carne asadas (I’m using my own experiences, obviously). We could make pasta though and like that we could eat some before we go and the rest we take it there.” Y/N said.
“Why would we eat before we go to the carne asada if we’re going to eat there?” Henry asked.
“Ay, amorcito, there’s so much You need to learn. Just in case there’s something you don’t like, and they never really start grilling right when you come in, it’s usually an hour after everyone’s there so you won’t be starving.” Y/N said.
“Alright, I’ll make the list so we can go shopping tomorrow. Now, I know this is going to be a stupid question, but what do I wear?” Henry asked.
“It’s not stupid at all. So again, my mom taught to dress presentable for whatever ‘event’ so like dress semi formal but summery.” Y/N said and Henry looked at her confused. “Just wear your khaki pants your navy or light blue button down.” Henry nodded.
It was the night before the carne asada and Y/N and Henry were in Y/N’s kitchen, their dessert is chilling, her dog Concha laying down in her bed (any breed you want), and they’re going over the family tree.
“Yeimy is my favorite cousin, she’s a music producer, love her to death. Then we have Juan Luis, Yeimy’s brother, kinda mujeriego, me entiendes, very fuckboy, but he’s a lawyer so we’re friendly. There’s my Tia chela, but you have to call her Graciela until she says you can call her Chela. Now Chela comments on my weight, a lot more than my mom does pero eso es otra cosa aparte.” Y/N said, showing pictures of each family member to Henry.
“Okay…who is Veronica?” Henry asked.
“She’s my mom’s friend from church, I don’t think she’ll be here though, she’s in Colombia.” Y/N said, looking for her photo to show him.
“And we’re going to your mom’s house for the carne asada?” Henry asked.
“Yes, I got her a house with a nice yard, my dad has the grill with the charcoal y todo. Now if there’s anything special that you want to drink or eat, get it tomorrow morning, we have to be there at 2.” Y/N said, now cleaning up the kitchen. So are you staying the night so you can help me with everything or are you coming here early in the morning?”
“I got all stuff in my car, I’m staying the night. I’ll just bring it in.” Henry said, he opened the door to leave and Concha got up from her bed to leave with Henry. “Nope, not you, just me.”
The day of the carne asada, Henry was in the driving with Y/N carrying the alfajores and picarones, the pasta in the backseat with Concha chilling so she could see her cousins. Y/N was wearing a sundress with wedge sandals.
“Okay, when you go in your obviously say hello to everyone, depending on whether the women of my family lean in, it’s a hug and a kiss on the cheek. It’s not a real kiss, it’s more of a cheek touch and the kiss sound, and with the men, again, obviously a handshake.” Y/N reminded him.
“Darling, I know everything, please relax.” Henry said.
“I cant relax, they never met any of my partners before.” Y/N said.
“Well i feel very special now.” Henry said.
“You should.” Y/N said.
Henry parked on the street, they go out of the car, Henry helping Y/N with the food as she put Concha on a leash so they could go to the house.
“Mami, ya llegamos!” Y/N yelled as she opened the gate to enter the yard.
“Ay Y/N, mi niña, cómo estás, amor? Y trajiste a supermán! Sabía que tenías amigos famosos pero nunca pensé de esta altura.” Y/N’s mom, Carolina, said.
“Ah mami, él se llama Henry, es mi novio, pero habla inglés, por favor.” Y/N told her mom.
“Oh my god, Henry, it’s so good to meet you. Finally my daughter has a boyfriend!” Carolina said and Y/N looked away to roll her eyes (because who the hell rolls their eyes in front of the their mothers, right?) “Princesa, has subido de peso? Te está saliendo un poquito la panza, no? Bueno, deja toda la comida en las mesa que no falta poco para llegar lo demás gente.” Carolina said and walked away to get paper plates and plastic utensils for everyone.
“What did she tell you?” Henry asked,
“Nothing it doesn’t matter, just put the food on the table, okay? Come on, Concha, let’s take you out your harness.” Y/N said and placed the food on the table to let her dog loose and Concha started running on the grass with Carolina’s cavalier King Charles spaniel, Honey. A few minutes, the cousins came, there was Yeimy, Juan Luis, Fabian (Peluche) and his wife Cecilia (Chiquis), Irma and her husband Erick, María José and her husband Diego, Alfonso (Poncho), and Maite.
“Prima, que bueno verte! Ooh, look at you, love the dress, you look so good.” Irma said, letting her Maltese, Cinnamon, off leash, Cinnamon ran to Concha.
“My mom didn’t think so, que bueno verte.” Y/N said, hugging her and kissing her cheek.
“Ay, no la escuchas, you look Great.” Yeimy said, placing what she brought on the table as well.
“Quien es el güerito?” Peluche asked, letting his german shepherd, Roscoe, off his leash
“Ay Peluche, mira quien habla de güerito. Anyway, everyone, this is my boyfriend, Henry.” Y/N introduced Henry.
“Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you all.” As Y/N told him, Henry greeted the girl cousins with a hug and let them kiss his cheek while shaking hands with the boy cousins.
“You landed Superman? The Witcher? How did you do that?” Maite asked. Y/N was going to answer but the tias and tíos came in as well.
“Hola hola! Carolina, ya llegamos! A ver, gordita, arrímate otra mesa, si?” Tía Chela told Y/N and Y/N did as she was told, she pulled another table to they could also place the food. Henry was saying hello to everyone. “Y mija, segura que es fiel? Como que es muy guapo, ha trabajado con mujeres como tú amiga Eiza, con la mujer maravilla, no sé, me parece raro que esté contigo.”
“Ay mamá, deja de escupir tu veneno a ella, ve con mi papá que está juntado al heladera para las bebidas.” María José said and Chela left reluctantly.
“Thanks, Majo.” Y/N said,
“I grew up with her criticizing me, can’t have her do the same to you. Look at us, we’re in our 30s and we still care about what our mothers say.” Majo said,
“Eso nunca va a cambiar.” Y/N said and she walked back to Henry where he was listening to her Tío Juancho (Juan Camilo) telling a story about his camping trip.
“Hey, pececita, I was just telling your boyfriend about the time I went camping,” Juancho said, hugging and kissing Y/N.
“So glad you’re back, love.” Henry said, wrapping his arm around her waist and kissed her cheek.
“Oye Henry’s ven conmigo un momento, come with me.” Y/N’s dad, Carlos, told Henry, tapping his shoulder.
“Papi, que vas a hacer?” Y/N asked.
“Nada mija, es como male bonding, help me grill, Superman.” Carlos said.
“Papi!” Y/N whined.
“Ve con tus primos, princesa.” Carlos said.
“It’s alright, maybe it’s a good thing.” Henry said, kissing Y/N to ease her worries. Henry went with Carlos to the grilled, grabbing the tray of seasoned meats to cook.
“So, Superman, how long have you been dating my daughter?” Carlos asked, sipping a bit of modelo beer.
“Not long, a month.” Henry answered.
“You think of dating her for longer?” Carlos asked.
“Of course, sir.” Henry said,
“Ah, escucha eso, ‘sir’, mira que respetuoso me salió. Listen, Y/N is a good girl, she worked hard in her music, bought this house for me y mi mujer, and if you break her heart or hurt her in anyway, I know some people.” Carlos threatened and Henry got paler.
Carlos laughed. “Ah, te estoy vacilando, it was a joke, you seem like a good person, you know how to grill?” Henry let out a breath of relief.
“Yeah, yes, I know how to grill.” Henry said.
“Good, pass me the orange container, it has the ribs.” Carlos said. Henry did what he was told and gave Y/N a thumbs up. Y/N gave him one back.
“You think your güero can eat what we brought?” Diego asked.
“Let’s hope so, as long as he doesn’t add salsa, it should be fine.” Y/N said. She looked over to where Henry was grilling with her dad, they’re gonna last, maybe not forever, but they would totally last.
Everyone was eating.
“Mija, te salió muy bien la pasta.” Carolina said.
“Gracias, me ayudó Henry también.” Y/N said, making sure she knew.
“Who knew you could cook, Henry, and with seasoning.” Carolina said, sitting down to eat. Henry looked at Y/N and she put her hands up in surrender. Everyone was serving themselves until.
“Haz platos para sus hombres también, que no se te olvide.” Chelis announced.
“Ay mamá, mas anticuada no puedes ser, ellos tienen manos, que se sirven solos.” Majo told her mom.
“Whats happening?” Henry whispered in Y/N’s ear.
“Do you see why I couldn’t come here alone? Just don’t serve yourself any salsa, the sauces are usually very spicy, the rest should be good to eat. There’s tacos dorados that have potatoes, some are chicken, others are beans, it’s a surprise. Take one of each, I’m sure you’ll like it.” Y/N whispered back to him. Everyone serves their own plate porque así debe ser, and they were all chatting, mainly trying to get to know Henry.
“So Henry, You’re a good looking man, why are you here with Y/N? I’m sure you can do a lot better.” Chela said and Majo states at her mom and mouthed her apology to Y/N.
“Has she been telling you this the entire time? Asking why I’m here with you?” Henry asked Y/N and Y/N just nodded. Henry stood up from his seat. “Listen, Graciela, I fell for Y/N the moment I saw her, I don’t know what you have been telling her since we got here but I have had enough. She didn’t want to come here alone and now I know why. If she shows up alone, you’ll ask why she doesn’t have a boyfriend, she shows up with me, you ask her why I’m here with her, that’s enough.” Henry said, Y/N pulled his arm to sit him back down.
“Perdón, Y/N, que Pena contigo.” Chela said and Y/N just nodded, it was nice to have someone other than her cousins defend her. “I’m sorry to you too, Henry.” Henry nodded his head and everyone continued eating. By the time they were finished, they went their “separate ways”.
In the carne asada, there were 3 sections, where the cousins were talking about their memories, what they’ve been up to. The aunts and her mom were talking about neighborhood gossip and about their kids. And of course the uncles and her dad drinking and talking about whatever.
“How did you and Henry meet?” Maite asked again.
“Well my coworker Eiza wanted to set me up with her, saying she was going to be at the after party. I didn’t want to be set up but when I went to the after party, I saw this beautiful woman dancing like she was the only one in the room, she captured everyone’s attention, including mine. Eiza noticed I was staring at the dancer and it turned out to be Y/N so Eiza called her over and there you have it.” Henry told them.
“Mira eso, prima, lo dejaste embobado desde el primer momento.” Ponchó said, petting Concha that went up to him.
“Así es, I thank our parents for playing Shakira when we were growing up.” Y/N said, raising her beer bottle to toast.
“Speaking of Shakira, how did you dance when he spotted you?” Chiquis asked, connecting her phone to the Bluetooth speaker that Peluche carried. It started playing the song ‘hips don’t lie’ and everyone was cheering ‘oh’.
“Alright, alright, I’ll show y’all.” Y/N said, getting up from her chair, handing Henry her beer. “It was something like this.”
Everyone was cheering, Henry was whistling, they were just having a good time.
“Pero ya, i guess that’s how Henry fell for me.” Y/N said, sitting on Henry’s lap now, taking her beer form his hand.
“You have no idea, sweetheart.” Henry kissed her.
“Mira Que lindo, pero no sé comen delante de los pobres.” Juan Luis said, sipping his beer.
“No que tienes novia, hermano?” Yeimy asked.
“Pero no está aquí, boba.” Juan Luis said.
“Wait Henry, why did you really like my dancing?” Y/N asked.
“You want the really answer or the savory answer?” Henry asked and Y/N hit his chest playfully. “Alright, alright, you were having fun, I wanted to be with someone I could have fun with. That, and the way you moved your hips gave me an idea of how you would be in other activities.” Henry smirked and Y/N laughed.
“Ay, you’re so dirty.” Y/N said, placing her head in the crook of his neck. “How you like my family?”
“I think I could come over more often, if you invite me, of course.” Henry said.
“Of course.” Y/N repeated and they kissed, his hands on her waist.

In light of the new astarion voice lines in reaction to mizora, I think we finally need to put to rest the whole monogamous vs polyam astarion discourse. Here's the thing. Polyamory is never explicitly discussed or negotiated at any point during the astarion romance. You get individual instances of astarion being okay with various things, like a one night stand with the drows or halsin. It's unclear in the coversation about halsin if he's agreeing to a one night stand or a three-way relationship deal, he just gives you a general go ahead to do whatever you want with halsin because he trusts you. But then halsin doesn't stick around at the end of the game, and by the time he leaves he's only ever been with astarion in the context of the drow orgy (which is optional), and only sexually. Halsin is only interested romantically in the player char from what we're shown. Everyone is free to headcanon otherwise or write whatever fics they want, but as long as we're arguing about canon we have to be very specific. Nothing about any of the conversations with astarion suggest polyamory. They might have suggested a sort of open relationship situation before, but now with mizora, we have proof that there was no negotiation or blanket consent given off screen for having sex with other people, and in fact, it hurts astarion deeply to see his partner engage in sex with someone else.
Now, you can argue it's because he didn't consent to it beforehand, fair enough. Let's walk through what that conversation could've looked like, shall we? If you'd have asked him if you can sleep with mizora, he could've either said yes or no, it's pretty straightforward. From how upset he is, and the fact that he doesn't bring up you not getting his approval beforehand, we can infer his answer would've been "no" (because if he would've said yes anyway, you would get the type of reaction you get with ascended astarion, a "next time invite me" type response). So then, why would astarion say no to mizora specifically, if asked? After all, he's presumably okay with meaningless sex, even when he's not involved, because he lets you sleep with one of the drows all by yourself. And presumably he's also okay with it when feelings are involved, if he's truly okay with the halsin arrangement. So what part of sleeping with mizora is different? Why would he suddenly disagree with it if he was previously okay with similar arrangements?
Here's the thing. Astarion says yes to things out of pressure. Obviously he tells you so himself in act 2, "i didn't know how to say no", and that's corroborated by his dead expression during the drow 4/5some. He says yes to things, hates them, and then depending on how violated he feels afterwards, he decides whether or not it's a forgivable transgression on the part of his partner. He HAS to do it after the fact, because prior to it, he doesn't know how he will feel, he doesn't know if something specific is going to be the thing that tips him over. When he says "i didn't know how to say no" in act 2, it's not just that he instantly knew he didn't want to have sex with tav and went along anyway, it's also that he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do, and maybe mistakenly believed he could put up with it, until he actually did it. With the drows, the only difference is that he does put up with it, by dissociating. For astarion, something is either too much, or something he can tune out and deal with. He never expresses any "mild" discomfort that you can talk to him about, except for when he's anxious you want to have sex with halsin because he doesn't put out. And even then, there's nothing you can say that will make him disapprove of the halsin thing, short of completely breaking up with him. He voices an insecurity, sure, but even when told that insecurity is legitimate, he still agrees to the halsin situation.
This is why I need everyone to understand, there is no polyam negotiation with astarion, he blanket accepts everything until he snaps, because that's what trauma victims do. I'm not saying this out of a desire to prove astarion is monogamous, either. If the game showed healthy communication about this I wouldn't be here arguing about any of this. Polyamory is valid and can be done in a healthy way, but what you have in the game is not a representation of polyamory, it's a representation of a trauma victim not knowing his own limits and chugging full speed ahead until he snaps. The mizora exchange just cements that further. The roll you have to pass to get him to stay with you isn't "let's discuss boundaries, i didn't know this wasn't allowed", it's "this didn't mean anything". If this man was already okay with meaningless sex on the side, why would you need to convince him of it? All you're doing is manipulating him, and the result of that manipulation isn't even "okay, you can have meaningless sex from now on as long as we talk beforehand", instead, he says he forgives you. There's no implication that this could happen again, if only you have his consent, he just forgives you for this one transgression and agrees to move on. And let me be perfectly clear, I've shipped polyam ships before, I don't have an inherent bias against it. But we all, collectively as a fandom, need to learn to read the room. The signs of discomfort are all there, it doesn't help anyone if we put on horse blinders and ignore them. My only desire is to see astarion interpreted faithfully, not to start or contribute to a war people seem to be having about the validity of polyamory in general or in real life.
So, in conclusion, we need to separate headcanons from canon. Canon is, at best, unclear on what Astarion is comfortable with. It helps no one to act like this is a clear cut issue on either side, but imo it's more harmful to potentially force him into situations he's uncomfortable with than to just let him lead, since he doesn't propose any of these arrangements himself, and never does them for his benefit, only his partner's.
And one last thing. This is not to say "don't do these things because they're bad". They're in the game so you can do them and roleplay however you want. However, we need to be realistic about the kind of characters we're playing. If your tav pressures astarion into these various situations, that's not a good-aligned tav, and that's okay, as long as you're not pretending otherwise. I love an evil durge playthrough as much as the next person, but none of it would be cathartic or fun if the whole time I was under the impression that murder is actually fine and good.

RE: Ruidusborn superstition - It's weird because Matt has had several opportunities to make it about persecution and hasn't. Laura could've made it a stronger point in her backstory with Gelvaan and didn't. This rounding up Ruidusborn and throwing them in jail is a theoretical crime that a bad guy in a cult told them might happen. 
Dealing with the unfair persecution of non Vanguard Ruidusborn in the fallout of this could be interesting to explore, but a) it hasn’t happened yet and b) still entirely the fault of the Vanguard for, ya know, all the crime. I just don’t get why some folks aren’t exploring the actual interesting conflict in front of them (i.e. being tied to something inherently destructive, your parent using you as a justification for her crimes, etc.) and instead make it about some secret twist coming that will totally make Liliana and the Vanguard “correct” actually in order to (I assume?) justify Imogen’s brief consideration of them and dunk on Orym for having the audacity to not be objective about the organization that killed his family.

This is a very good point re: the actual conflicts present. I know I've been guilty of going hard on Liliana and the thing is I do find her a profoundly compelling and sympathetic villain. I think she was placed in an impossible position by Predathos imbuing her with troubling and at times painful powers; that despite having good intentions with regards to the nature of Ruidus (there is a lot of value in both studying it and in concealing its nature, depending on your perspective) people other than Ludinus were unable to give her answers and so she was easy prey for his cult; and she has since been driven by these motivations so far down the road of the Ruby Vanguard that even when the daughter she has believed herself for so long to be protecting tries to give her an out and asks her why she's doing this, she can't answer but is terrified of leaving. She is very sympathetic. She is very much a villain. And yes, I'll cover Orym in a second.
The following is, by necessity due to the nature of what I want to discuss, going to touch on some real-world politics though mostly in the sense of abstract strategy with very few specific actual positions. I want to note that we are talking about a fictional work here, and while I do have some presumptions regarding the people advocating for the Vanguard, they are just that - presumptions. I will only say that if this is how the people advocating for the Vanguard engage with people in real-world activism (if they partake in that in the first place), this may be a revealing insight into why they are perhaps less than successful.
Every argument in favor of killing the gods ultimately presupposes killing the gods is correct. They are all, ultimately, either tautological (we should kill the gods because they are deserving of death) and assume that the only objective conclusion is "we should kill the gods", therefore anything other than "we should kill the gods" cannot be objective.
I may be repeating myself since I've said this a lot since the last episode but: there as a truly bone-chilling lack of empathy in thestatement that Orym needs to stop bringing up his dead family and get over it and be objective (read: agree with the premise that the gods should be killed). Actually, if you are a person capable of perceiving others as people, you will likely realize that it is cruel and absurd to expect someone to say "this group murdered my family, but because they did so with the correct motivations, I shall stop mentioning it." As you indicated, it's bizarre that Orym is expected to set the wholesale murder - deliberately set up with no hope of resurrection, just to twist the knife - aside, but Imogen is never expected to set aside the (let's face it, extremely tenuous, given that Liliana's been absent for over a quarter-century) feelings about her mother, a person who recruits child soldiers, turned Vax into an orb, and is a general in the death cult that murdered Orym's husband and father. Like, in a real-world scenario, someone in Orym's position very well might have just left over this. Your friends keep failing to consider your trauma? Perhaps it's time to, painful as it may be, find friends who will be sensitive. [I don't want to focus on the shipping or character dynamic aspects with that particularly argument against Orym, but this is a fictional work and I do think another running theme in all sorts of discourse is that you do not need to justify your ships as logical, and when you do, you really do sound like "why doesn't Ross, the largest friend, simply eat all the other friends." There are logical reasons why Orym might not want to talk with, for example, Fearne or Ashton; but also the heart wants what it wants, and again, if you aren't truly ignorant about the way human psychology works you have to acknowledge that.]
Before I move on to other items I want to note I've as of late seen attempts not just to discredit Orym but to pathologize his behavior as self-harming or moral OCD or a failure to get fully over grief (again, an expectation that is not just devoid of empathy but also sets the standard of 'get over grief' as "agrees with me") and not just "hey, this group killed my husband and father in front of me and I understandably will not budge on this particular front. So there's also a growing ableist push, here, because someone doesn't agree with you and will not agree with you and also might want to kiss someone different than whom you want them to kiss.
As of late, the banner of those wronged by the gods has shifted from any of Bells Hells to those of Aeor, and that is a bad sign in a D&D campaign. If you need to set aside the PCs in order to rely on NPCs who have not shown up in the current narrative? You are clinging to a melting iceberg, my man. (More so after invoking FCG as one of the victims of Aeor's demise, rather than someone created to be used for malicious purposes by Aeor; and even more so after they destroyed themself specifically in heroic sacrifice to save the rest of the party from a Vanguard general.). But more seriously, the focus on Aeor feels reminiscent of advocacy for the unborn; or, to take a page from my own personal experiences and move this back into a fandom realm, the way people will frequently more loudly decry antisemitism for depictions of goblins than for, say, the fact that I don't know of an American synagogue that hasn't experienced a bomb threat in the past 10 years. It's very easy to advocate for corpses or fetuses over the living, or for fictional characters over real people who might be less than perfect. Much easier to ensure they never do such inconvenient things as disagree with you or have their own suggestions or be complicated. It hearkens back to some of the conversations I and others had earlier this campaign about a denial of agency because by making characters victims "stripped of choice," (always that phrasing) suddenly they can't do wrong. They make for a shit story, but at least you can feel morally pure about your flavorless cardboard that ultimately means nothing in-world or out. (And if they don't have agency, that means your morality pet can't run away. Or blow themselves up in a stunning rejection of your argument.)
Returning to the Vanguard: an ongoing discussion in activist spaces (and internet ones as well) is that there's a weird ignorance of optics as an important factor in activism. I know it seems frustrating - why can't people just see that this cause is just - but optics have always been a crucial part of any successful movement. I mean, even if you do believe that we need to do more to combat climate change - and I do - my, and most people's response to the environmental activists who keep throwing soup or paint on artwork is "ugh, this again?" I mean, functionally, while the cause is far more just, it's not terribly distinct from the weird-ass He Gets Us ad campaign; most people are going to say "and you're doing this instead of anything helpful...why?" The Vanguard's optics SUCK. Sure, they've fomented some unrest, but it is an unfortunate truth that the vast majority of people will prefer the inherent violence of a stable system that they are used to over violent unrest. For a successful coup or radical change, either you need to strike at the seat of power extremely quickly or you need to show that you are the more, for lack of a better term, civilized option, and the Vanguard has failed utterly in both these. You're going to get a few places like Hearthdell (though, really, how long will that last given that they got rid of the temple without a scrap of help from Ludinus) but you're going to get a lot of places where city dwellers say "ugh, these stupid crystals are so fucking loud, could this motherfucker shut up" and you're also going to get no shortage of places that say "my family member was taken in by this cult" or "these guys murdered my professor". The rightness or wrongness of the Vanguard's politics aside, a lot of people in-world are likely to side with Orym - these people are murderers who disturb the peace and we should stop them. The cause is lost. Is it, in some absolute sense, fair that people will judge you more for how you convey a message than what the message is? No, although if you convey it in rivers of blood, then, perhaps, yes. But it is, fair or not, often true.
Which brings me back to Orym. I think the reason people are stooping so low specifically to malign and discredit Orym is because he brings all of the above uncomfortably to light. He's aligned with Keyleth, who quite frankly until pretty recently was, within the fandom, partly as (understandable) backlash to the hate she received, and partly because she was, if nothing else, always portrayed as someone deeply attuned to the human costs, treated as a morally infallible authority; and she is no friend to the gods yet still believes their demise is far too great a risk to take. Again, thinking of yourself as Exandria's equivalent of the man on the street (Imahara Joe the Plumber?), are you going to listen to "those people killed my husband and father to prove a hypothesis so that they could tether the moon?" or "my mom, who left me when I was two years old and never came back or sent a letter, is one of those people?" And that's assuming Imogen's even going to make that argument, which, as her actions indicate, she's probably not going to. But most of all I think they really don't like that Orym isn't backing down from "That is the blade that killed my father and husband. She is not right." He's kept to this story the entire time, while the positions of others have evolved. And he's telling the truth. Every time he says this, I think anyone who isn't actually a complete black hole of empathy must confront how much of their humanity they are supressing just to make a poorly-argued point about a D&D show and I'd imagine that can't make one feel very good.
I think people are terrified of Orym's conviction, because he has shown, time and time again, that he is not going to be swayed. I don't think, in fact, that he's going to be swayed by seeing Aeor, should that happen, since Aeor was destroyed a thousand years before he, Will, or Derrig were born, and their murders failed to undo that harm in any way. A really good way to turn people away from your cause, even if it's a good one, is killing those they love. And again, it's fine if you see that position as unfair, or ignorant, or even amoral. It's also extremely true. And I think people realize it's true, given that the only defenses I've seen for Liliana have been "well, but she's Imogen's mother" and "well, it's shockingly easy for people to fall into a cult, because this has happened to my family members." Clearly, we agree that people will place personal connections and the pain of those close to them over ideology. Orym's is just really inconvenient for some people, and so he must be discredited.
In the end: the people in the story who at every turn choose manipulation, indoctrination, violence, subjugation, and conquest are saying "This is the way; you just have to trust me." Is it any surprise most people watching the show are saying "No, I don't think I will"?

The Honor of Trying Not to Step on Your Foot
Fem!Reader
Summary: Wriothesley had a habit of skipping out on the more formal events within Fontaine. It was a habit he would not be breaking anytime soon, but he usually tried to at least show up for ten minutes before trying to slip away. Sometimes he would get lucky with something happening at the fortress. Normally he would just send Sigewinne in his place but circumstances at the Fortress require both of them to stay behind unknowing of if they will even show up.

AN: It's my birthday week and I choose the self-indulgence fic to post. And sometimes a girl dreams of a dance that never happened. Happy early birthday to me. In seriousness. I used this as a chance to practice writing for Navia.
“So are you here under medical personnel for Fontaine?” Naiva asked as the two of them looked over the selection of macaroons Before them.
“No. They don't invite pharmacists to these soirées usually.” Y/N answered. 
Naiva smiled at her downplaying the event they were at. “So you're here with your mother. Some big shot invite the two of you to show off her artwork?” She guessed again.
“Nope. My mom is at home painting for some big shot though.” Y/N laughed at how she could see the wheels turning in her head trying to guess what was going on.
Naiva frowned with worry. “Please tell me you aren't back together with that guy.” She stated with worry thinking about how often Y/N was at events like this during her previous engagement.
“No. That guy could eat dirt for all I care. I cut him off for good.” She reminded her.
Relief washed over her face. “That's good. I was afraid that I was about to talk you out of that relationship for the night.” It was something Navia only brought up cause she knew for a fact that she saw Y/N’s ex earlier when she got here.
“You know I could tell you why I'm here instead of guessing.”
“And take all the fun out of me using my detective skills? No way. It's been a minute since I've seen you. We should have fun with this.”
Y/N laughed. “Okay. Have your fun. Do you want a hint?”
“A small one.”
“I'm here in place of someone in case they can't show up.”
“Did something happen?”
“Yes, but it's not like they enjoy showing up to these events anyway.”
Naiva racked her brain thinking over the details she knew about Y/N’s life. “Are you two close?”
“Yes.” She smiled as she thought of the person Naiva tried to guess.
“Do you work with this person?” 
“More of for.” She answered even though it wasn’t fully accurate. 
Naiva took a bite of a macaroon to fuel her brain as she thought of why Y/N could be here. “Are you here for Wriothesley or Sigewinne?”
“Both.”
“Both?”
“Mostly for Wriothesley. Sigewinne still may show up. She's excited to see Neuvillette.” Y/N explained. “I got called to show up here last minute.”
“Oh, why's that?” 
“Something happened at the Fortress. I don't know the details though. If I wasn't told that I would have thought Wriothesley was just trying to get out of a public appearance again.”
Naiva laughed. “I heard that Charlotte plans on camping out just to get an interview from him.”
Y/N shook her head. “Poor girl. She's not getting one.”
“You have to admire her determination at least.” 
“That you do.” Y/N began moving away from the dessert table they were standing at with Naiva following. “So you and Clorinde? How's reconnecting going?”
“It's been going well. We even found a new tabletop game to try out. It's not exactly like old times but it's still good.” She explained. “She even helped me pick out a dress for this evening.”
“Ah, that sounds like it was fun. At least one of you gets to have fun dressing up. Even though Furina isn't in charge anymore, she still ends up having to work on these events. Probably be more enjoyable as a guest.”
“I feel like that depends on the company you have around you during these. Also when you dance cause you want to and not cause you’re being shown off.” 
Naiva laughed. “Well, have you gotten the chance to dance yet?”
“I was asked before I found you over here but there’s only one person I really want to dance with and that’s not guaranteed. Plus dancing with someone who demands you use their full title is such a turnoff.” Y/N reasoned.
She laughed. “Well, you are at least doing a great job representing the current administration of the Fortress.”
“Except that Wriothesley likes his title, he just hates just about everything else that title requires of him.” Y/N rolled her eyes. “I swear anytime I hear someone refer to him as “Your Grace,” I think I’m going to go insane.”
“So what do you call him while you are working down there?”
“His name usually.”
“Usually?” She teased.
“Also ‘Ri’. I’ve known him long enough for him to have a nickname for him.”
“I’ve known you longer and I don’t have a nickname.”
“You don’t have a name I had to spend a week to remember how to spell.” Y/N reasoned.
Navia frowned. “I’ll give you that.” She would have to live a life without a nickname from her. Oh well. “So you still want to dance for fun?”
“Are you offering?” She remembered the last time she danced with Navia at one of these events. “Last time you stepped on my foot.”
“It was an accident. How many times do I have to apologize?”
“Until someone steps on my foot worse.”
“Ugh. You know I hope you step on someone's foot one day so you would know how bad I feel.” 
“That wouldn't happen though. My mother put me through so many dancing and singing classes as a kid. Such is being a child of a family of artists, I know too many artistic talents even if I won't use them.”
“Well, you should use one of them now. It's either dancing or eating more desserts.”
“Well, will one of my dearest friends care to dance?” Y/N asked with a playful curtsy. 
“I would love the honor of trying not to step on your foot.” She accepted mimicking her actions with a laugh.
The two of them moved across the ballroom not taking the dance too seriously. There was the occasional twirl of each other every now and then. It was loose and fun. Their dance wasn’t anywhere as formal as anyone else on the floor. It was something that reminded Y/N how much she missed dancing.
Even though she worked in Fontaine above and the underworld she still had time for her hobbies. Most of her hobbies now had become reading books and being a model for one of her mother’s paintings when she needed a reference—maybe baking as well. However, that was more of a hobby she picked up from being friends with Navia. It was fun to exchange recipes. 
It was during one of the times Navia was spinning her that she had flung her right into a person. It happened so quickly that she didn't even see who it was right away. Naiva let out a laugh letting go of Y/N’s hand.
“So sorry.” Y/N looked up at the person she was apologizing to. “You made it.” She moved into a hug which Wriothesley returned.
“I got everything taken care of. I don’t think Sigewinne was going to let me even skip once I told her that you were here standing in for us.”
Navia looked over the two of them. For two people who were supposedly single, their actions said otherwise. She knew their working relationship had grown into a close friendship since Y/N had begun helping out in the infirmary of the Fortress. But even this was too intimate of a hug between just friends with how close they held each other. 
She had always kept her business with the Fortress to a minimum. All that the Spina di Rosula helped within the Fortress was supplies and logistics. In the meetings that she had with that man, she found it exhausting to only be improved by good tea. In all her interactions she couldn’t see any similarities between how he usually acted and how he was acting now.
His normally cold eyes were filled with so much warmth as he looked over Y/N. His hands lingered on her as they pulled apart from the hug. They looked as if everyone else here was invading what should have been a private moment.
Y/N turned with a hand pointing at Navia. It was almost like she had only just remembered that she was there as well. “It hasn’t been too boring at all. I’ve been in good company all night. I believe I don’t have to introduce the two of you.” 
“Are you two close?” Wriothesley asked. 
“My mother did a painting of her parents before they passed. So while my mother got the initial sketches, my grandmother tried to teach us how to cross stitch.”
“You had such a natural talent for it.” Navia thought back on the childhood memory.
“You must be misremembering. I couldn’t thread the needle and I kept picking colors that clashed.” Y/N explained.
Navia laughed. “I still have the little cross stitches we did in Poisson. They have a bit of water damage but it's still proof enough that you did well.”
Y/N shook her head. “It doesn’t matter when you are the one who kept the hobby. You could run circles around me now.” She looked back at Wriothesley finishing the answer to his question. “We don’t see each other too often but we try to keep in touch. Mostly letters in between meetings.”
Wriothesley took his hand off Y/N’s back. “Then I’ll let the two of you be. Maybe I can send you in place of me at these things with Navia here to keep you company. You both looked like you were having fun dancing.”
Navia could see his face fall a bit. Even though he could be annoying to work with he was at least respectful. But holding even the obvious to see cards against his chest was going to hurt him at least emotionally one day. Maybe she only thought that as someone who described even herself as having her heart on her sleeve. 
“Actually I stepped a bit weird while we were dancing. It would be best if I rest my ankle for now.” She lied. “You should take my place as her dance partner.”
“Oh, I couldn’t.” Wriothesley tried to turn down the idea. “You two could go sit and talk. The type of dancing I know involves a boxing ring anyway.”
Navia wanted to roll her eyes so badly. Why was he being so dense? Was he always this dense and she hadn't noticed it? “Her mother had her in so many dance classes that I'm sure she could teach you.”
“I wouldn't say I'm so good that I can teach?”
“You downplay yourself. Surely you've known her just long enough to know when she's being hard on herself.” Was it so hard for them to enjoy a bit of romance?
“I don't want to impose. I probably see her more than you anyway. You two should spend time together.” Wriothesley was not even going to have a chance to slip away from this. Events like this just always felt so stuffy to him. His shirt already felt buttoned up too high. He really thought he found a way out of this place.
Navia pinched the bridge of her nose before looking back at the two of them. She mentally apologized to Y/N. “I was told earlier how there was someone Y/N really wanted to dance with. Now she never told me who but I'm sure that wasn't with me.” She crossed her arms before continuing. “You two should enjoy yourselves. Y/N you'll be a wonderful teacher. I'm going to rest my ankle. Now would you please just dance with my friend.” It was more of a demand than a question.
Navia turned away, walking off perfectly fine for someone who said her ankle hurt from stepping wrong. She made a beeline over to where Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Neuvillette were talking. She must have already said something about what had happened as the three of them looked over at Wriothesley and Y/N. They all looked so tired and annoyed by their behavior.
Y/N turned her head to face Wriothesley. “Look, we don't have to dance if you don't want to. I know you would rather sneak away from here maybe find a nice bar and get a beer instead.”
Wriothesley smiled. “You aren't wrong. I just don't fit in here. I mean I showed up with a fresh cut on my face.” He pushed his bangs back showing off the wound that Sigewinne had already closed up. It wasn't anything too deep. Sigewinne even said that he would probably be healed in a day or two. His hand dropped back to his side letting his hair fall back in place.
Y/N laughed. “I was going to say you just look uncomfortable. You usually have your tie so loose. I don't think I've ever seen it on you properly.”
“Looks weird, doesn't it?”
“A bit but other than that cut, I think you clean up nice.” Her eyes wandered to the floor before meeting his again. “If you're going to go sneak out, could I at least walk you to the door? Maybe I could at least help it make it look like you aren't sneaking away and it more like you were needed at the fortress again.”
Wriothesley laughed. The band that had been playing should have stopped their playing so she could have better heard the song that played before her. “Careful. I might take you up on that then you'll never get that dance.”
Y/N rolled her eyes. “I should remind her what is and isn’t a private conversation.”
“So do I get to know who you wanted to dance with or was Navia trying to get you to settle for me?” He teased.
“I don’t want to force you.”
Wriothesley took her hand. “And miss out on how happy you looked spinning around in that gown. I think I can survive one attempt at dancing before I try and sneak out.” He pulled her back in close. “Show me how.” He mimicked the positions others were holding their dance partner.
She normally had an easy time meeting his gaze. But this felt all too public knowing how much Wriothesley valued his privacy. Why did she feel so shy all of a sudden? She's made out with the man enough times to where this should be nothing. “Even with them watching?” She pointed her head over to where the group of their friends had gathered.
“They were bound to find out soon enough. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sigewinne already told them.” He let go of her hand and moved it below her chin, raising her head back up to look him in the eyes. “Now would my dance instructor teach me what to do? I’ve managed to avoid dancing at these things as long as possible so I may be a little clueless on this.” “Last chance to try and sneak out.” She warned.
“I’ll take my chances here with you. I could sneak out later if I do really bad.” He let go of her chin and went back to holding her hand.
Y/N laughed. “Then I’ll have to sneak out to comfort you, won’t I?”

Young Royals and the three act structure, Part one
Seems like there was some potential interest in a full three-act story structure analysis, so I’m taking this opportunity to indulge myself by going full nerd. I’m going to attempt to make the argument that limiting the show to three seasons is actually perfect for Young Royals, by highlighting the pattern the story follows.
A few things to keep in mind before we start.
This analysis is not about the characters deep inner emotional lives. We are not here to pass judgment on their actions. We are simply identifying the beats of the story in a neutral and objective manner, for the purpose of analysing the structure of the story.
As you will notice, the points I have identified are all from Wilhelm’s perspective. That’s because he’s the point-of-view character, the main conflict is shaped by him and his emotional state. He’s the protagonist. Each subplot however, will follow the same pattern and has its own purpose, but I’ll get more into that another time.
I’ll be referring a fair bit to Lindsey Ellis’s video essay on the subject, because I like how she describes the structure pattern in sequences. So I’m gonna borrow some of her language. Also, note that the examples she uses to describe the tree-act structure are all feature films. Since Young Royals is a series, it’s gonna divert slightly from her description. But that’s what is so great about this structure, it’s flexible. It’s not meant to be set rules, but rather guidelines to help keep your story relevant and engaging all the way through. If you find this stuff interesting, I’d highly recommend watching her videos!
The three act structure is absolutely not the only way to tell a story. There’s many different formats that works just as well! It’s really about finding what structure works best to tell your story. The three acts however is the most common format you’ll find in more commercially viable works, such as Disney films for example.
And finally, I’m not a writer, but an animator, and I have studied film theory/structure. I’ll do my best to motivate the plot points I’ve identified, but if you’re a proper story expert and disagree with me, I’m happy to discuss!
Okay, let’s get to it.

A three-act structure is constructed of just that, three acts, and roughly looks like this. Essentially, a beginning, a middle, and an end. Or the set up, the confrontation, and the resolution. These acts may vary in length, act two usually being the longest and act three usually being the shortest. But what truly defines them is the tension of each act, meaning what drives the conflict forward at that point. A story will have a main conflict yes, but that conflict will take on many forms depending on where we are in the story. Lindsey Ellis describes each act as consisting of multiple sequences, and defines each sequence by its individual tension as well. Though all points of tension should always stay related to the main conflict! So the main points we’re looking to identify in the story are the main act tensions and the main sequence tensions. 
Let’s go through season one of Young Royals and talk about each story beat.
Act 1
Act tension - Wille has to attend Hillerska.
Sequence 1
We start with the Set up/Hook. The purpose here is to establish the world and the protagonist along with their internal conflict, such as their flaws and/or desire that makes them feel incomplete - The way Wilhelm’s character is introduced informs us that he is royal, but struggling with his role, because royals have set rules to follow.
“Why can’t I decide how the hell I want to live? I want to live a normal life!”
The thing that sets the story in motion is the point of attack. Something happens that is outside of the protagonist's control/knowledge - That would be the royal court deciding to send Wille to Hillerska without his permission. This gives the protagonist something to react to.
Sequence tension is established - Wille does not want to go to Hillerska. The rest of episode one reinforces Wille’s discomfort at the school.
Next, we get to the inciting incident. An event that disrupts the status quo, and our protagonist has to get involved - The initiation party, particularly when Wille and Simon almost kiss at the end. This leads him to acknowledge his attraction toward Simon and become more proactive in his pursuit of the boy.

The sequence tension is resolved. Notice how in episode two, Hillerska is no longer the main focus for Wille, but Simon is. The seeds for what will become the central conflict have now been planted. The conflict is usually driven by character motivation. This is where we can consider the protagonist's Want vs Need. The want drives the main tension - Wille wants to be with Simon. But we’ll find want he needs later on in the story.
Sequence 2
The purpose here is to build up the creation of the main tension of the story. The main antagonist can also be established here -  August keeps getting on Wille’s nerves. Especially when he’s trying to hang out with Simon.
That’s our sequence tension - Wille is working to befriend Simon, but August keeps getting in the way.
The end of the sequence sees the first major plot point, the Lock-in. Where our protagonist makes a decision that changes everything. Usually, something they can’t come back from - In Young Royals that would be the first kiss. Wille and Simon’s relationship has fundamentally changed. The main tension is now established.

Act tension -  Can Wille be with Simon, despite him being a prince?
Sequence 3
At the start of this sequence, the protagonist has most likely achieved some kind of milestone or learned something - He’s definitely like that.
To keep the story interesting, writers will add so-called pinch points in between the bigger plot points. These usually act as reminders of the antagonist or the pressure our protagonist may feel - Wille feels he needs to break it off with Simon because a prince is not supposed to be gay. As we established in the set up, royals have rules. 
Sequence tension - Can Wille deny his feelings for Simon? Queer pining ensues.

Sequence 4
The purpose of this sequence is to build up towards the midpoint. We see the protagonist making attempts to achieve their goal - The want never changed, Wille still wants to be with Simon, despite the pressure. Wille invites him to spend the weekend with him.
Sequence tension - Wille is trying to prioritise his new relationship with Simon, but August is still being annoying.
Then the midpoint hits. A major disruption, either from a character action or a force of nature. Can be positive or negative, just something that changes the aim of the quest without resolving the main tension - This time it’s literally halfway through the season. End of episode three, Erik dies and Wille becomes the crown prince. Everything has changed.

Sequence 5
Everybody has to adjust to the new world order after the midpoint disruption. We’ve reached another pinch point - Again we are reminded that royals have rules, and Wille makes another attempt to follow those rules. By embracing his new role, he breaks up with Simon once again, then sort of pursues Felice and joins the society.
Sequence tension - Wille adjusting to his new title while mourning his brother.

It’s common for subplots to advance around this time - Like Simon giving August the drugs to sell.
Sequence 6
Another plot point, where our protagonist may stop and reflect. Maybe have a heart-to-heart with another character, and perhaps make a decision - This is where we see the football field scene and the end of episode four. Wille reaches out to Simon for help, reconnecting with him. This leads them to pursue a relationship once again. They are put in a false sense of security. They are finally together, thinking all is good. BUT, we in the audience know that August has the video of them and the writers keep reminding us of him and the threat he poses. Even if Wille and Simon don't know it yet.

(Here’s where the story leaves the classic structure for a bit, and adds an extra sequence for some more drama, as filler. In theory, they could have skipped this sequence and gone straight to the video being released. This part is mainly here to give motivation for August’s character, making his actions clearer)
So we are essentially given another pinch point, a reminder of antagonist or pressure -  August tries to break them apart by telling Wille about the drugs, which leads to the music room fight. 
Sequence tension - August is becoming more hostile.
Wille saving Simon from being framed for the drugs is more related to August’s money subplot. And the Lucia hug scene is mainly there for character building purposes. I’ll talk more about that stuff in part two.
The plot has advanced to the culmination of the main tension. The crisis that serves as build-up to act three - August releases the video. At the end of act two, the protagonist faces their biggest challenge yet. They’ve hit their lowest point - The aftermath of the video's release and Wille is totally lost.

Act tension - Can they save their relationship after the video?
Sequence 8
Begins with the protagonist making a big decision that creates the new act tension. The tension in act three will be different, but still related to the main conflict - Wille and Simon talk in the locker room, where Wille says he won’t do the statement.

We’ve reached our last major plot point, located at the end of the sequence. Sometimes known as the twist in the third act - And what a twist, Wille does the statement anyway. This narrows down the tension further, to focus on a more character-driven intimate place for the next sequence.
Sequence 9
Sequence tension - Can they be together despite the statement?
Climax, the last big fight - Simon tells Wille off for being selfish and breaks up. Wille also finds out that both August and his mother betrayed him. The protagonist’s need has emerged from this journey and is now clear to us - Wille needs to decide who he wants to be. The want and the need should be different from each other, but still connected. Wille wants Simon, but in order for that to happen, Wille needs to break out of this cycle of self-preservation and stand up for himself against the royal court.

The climax will most likely lead to some kind of character growth - Wille is now pissed because he’s lost everything and realizes how corrupt the royal court is. As Lisa so beautifully put it, “A flame is ignited in him”. Hugging Simon in public is a display of his character growth.
And finally, Resolution. The point where the story is usually wrapped up neatly, but if left ignored, you get a cliffhanger - Which is exactly what happens in this season. Nothing is properly resolved at this point. Resulting in an open ending/cliffhanger.

Dinner is quiet, nothing that bothers you given Norton is similar to a cat who can enjoy sharing a space with you. That is not to say he does not enjoy how you talk about the day or ask him if he likes the food. Given how you like to season the food you make, some of it can be overpowering for him, especially spicy food. The shepherd’s pie is both soft and gentle in the seasoning, something you hope he enjoys (the man though honestly likes anything you make even if one dish had his mouth on fire).
The chores are divided between the two of you depending on who cooks (you are the one who mostly cooks because the last time he cooked he burnt the food). He gathers the dishes and you put away the table mats and wipe down the table. Then you start going over the kitchen pantry seeing what needs to be picked up.
Norton does the dishes, humming something to himself, and you cannot help but stare at the way his arms are defined by his work shirt, a long sleeve he rolled up as he cleaned. When you first met him, he had muscle but it was not compared to how he is now when he is fed properly. The size difference between the two of you has more than once left you blushing like a little girl.
“(Name),” He speaks up once he is done drying the dishes, body turning to see you look at him and then smile, a closed smile to make him aware he has your attention. “I want to ask you something… Important.” Awkward wording that causes your head to tilt to the side.
“Oh?”
“Listen, um,” He takes a breath in and out, “We have been here for three years now and… I uh…”
You look worried.
“Here!” Pulling out the engagement ring and showing you it, “It ain’t much but…Marry me?”
You stare at him then the ring then him again; the emotions on your face shifting too many times then sadness. “Norton… I don't,”
“She doesn't want you, idiot. Why would she want a broken fool like you!?”
“Think I don’t deserve you.” A whisper he hears then the panic on your face as you wave your wave in front of you realizing how bad that sounds, “I mean–”
Huh? What? The former prospector is confused, “What do you mean?” Wait, how don’t you deserve him? Would it not be the other way around? Given all the things you offered him, the biggest one is moving to a whole other country to live with him.
You sigh and gesture for him to sit down and you take a seat before he does, “First: yes. I will marry you. I love you from the moon and back.” Stating to him quickly to ease him, “However, there are some things,” Tapping your fingers on the table, “You should know about me.”
Norton nods as he sits down while placing the ring on the table. “Alright.”
“Okay,” Taking a deep breath in, “Okay.” Fidgeting with your fingers, “I wasn't always a nurse. I had no legal medical license until a year into the job… After the doctor left.” Easy confession, concerning though you are sure.
Norton knew the owner of the mines cut corners as the bastard saw all of the miners as basically slaves. Cut corners wherever the scum could and pay off whoever inspected the worksite. The doctor leaving after not getting a raise, well, no one batted an eye when you were put in charge.
“Before that… Uh. I used to work in…” Growing quiet as you stare at the pattern of wood on the table.
“Did you kill someone?” His arms crossed over his chest, leaning back against the seat causing it to creek in protest, his legs wide open under the table.
“No, no! Nothing like that!” Assuring him, “Listen, I won’t blame you if this changes your view about me. I should have brought it up sooner,” He raises an eyebrow, “I worked in a brothel.” Saying quickly and in one breath. The silence to follow is one side uneasy. His eyes locked on your face. You squirm a bit fearing what he will say.
“That’s it?” Breaking the silence.
“Yes?” Rubbing the back of your neck unsure if he was asking for more detail or something, “ Was one of the pleasure ladies.” Adding more detail, “Not exactly the woman you could bring home, uh.” It was a dark time in your life, you fault no one who had to take up the occupation in order to survive. You had to in order to feed yourself and keep a roof over your head. The nursing came later when your client, the doctor at the mines, was teaching you medicine at the cost of keeping his cock wet. A “fair trade” allowing you to switch occupations, much to his dislike soon after his replacement.
“Why not?”
“Because you should have a ‘nice’ girl.” Rolling your eyes hating that reason. The doctor was an asshole for telling you that all too often when he was making you choke on his— “No mother wants their son to marry a whore.” Sneering in at yourself.
“That’s stupid,” The response surprised you, “None of that is going to change my mind.”
You are shocked, you should not be given how you gave him a second chance at life-- A better one. The second you got him out of that rumble when you nursed him back to health. Technically, you are harboring a murderer, yet you don’t see it like that.
Your eyes fall to the ring. This small town in France is far from everything that happened back in Golden Cave. The voice remains but even with the rambling it currently is saying, it does become greedy towards you. The one thing they can agree on.
“You got experience between the two of us, so what.” Shrugging while he takes your left hand and rubs your ring finger. “When we started living out here, you told me the past is the past. For us to start from scratch and live how we want.” You did. The moment he was healed, you offered to take him with you. Far from everything that ever hurt either of you. “We can’t change what we did to live, we can however change how we live in this moment.” Trying to find the words to convey how much you mean to him, “Us, together, in that church you go to on Sundays and standing at that altar.”
You blink twice then glance away then back at Norton, “Wow.” He is serious. “Ha, wow, ha.” Laughing as leaned against your chair letting out a sigh of relief but the giggling starts up.
“You sound like a hyena.” Teasing you as the giggling gets worse, “Taking it you are happy?”
“Yes, God, yes!” Grabbing his hands with both of yours, “More than happy really! I want to kiss you until I can’t no longer.”
“Oh,” Amusement, “Just kiss?”
“Norton.” Standing up, “There are many things I want to do for you,” Leaning on the table with a look in your eyes he only caught once when you were patching him up. Your hand touching his arm, “Only if you allow me.”
“Shouldn’t that be my line?” Standing up and grabbing the ring before moving around the table to be close to you. “Everything. All of you and all of me.”

Dying to know what you would write for y/n’s first Mother’s Day with Matty and Annie
this is so so interesting to think about!!!!
so I think for the first mothers Day when you're with matty, nothing out of the ordinary happens. or nothing out of the ordinary happens to you anyway.
you ask matty a few days before how Annie feels about it, and he casually says, "Oh, she doesn't really mind. she knows it's coming, and to her, it's just another day!" So you treat it like that too.
you don't go out of your way to comment on it or make a big deal. You just get on with your day! the same cannot be said for matty...
he doesn't think Annie feels any way about it, seemingly like her normal bubbly self. But just as he's taking her to bed- she says something.
he feels strange the whole day. this is the first time he's had a girlfriend that annie knows about, and it's an actual serious relationship.
he knows it's way too soon, and you're not Annie's mum, but it kind of feels like you are?? and he's not sure how to feel.

"Happy mothers Day!!!" squeals Annie excitedly, "Dad said I was finally allowed to give you presents today!" she smiles big as she finishes, almost looks anxious awaiting your response.
tears start rolling down your cheeks, and you pull Annie in, squeezing her so tight she loses all the air in her lungs.
"Oh, Annie. thank you so so much. I love you, sweetheart." You pull back and wipe your tears, and Annie can't look happier, gummy smile and bright eyes staring back at you.
shyly, she says, "You're welcome. i love you too"
"You want to share my pancakes, sweet girl?" You ask, already cutting it up for the two of you.
"yes!!!" Annie says bouncing on the bed.
matty might as well not be there, but that is honestly exactly how he wanted to feel.

"Fandom is a community!" is a very common cry in fandom but while that was once true it hasn't been for a while now. Fandom has long since, consciously or unconsciously, decided to become a consumer culture instead. Yet the cry persist because most fans don't want to own up to what they are: consumers, not community members.
I don't know if it's because fandom is mostly made up of white people that but as a whole it doesn't understand, nor does it want to learn, what community is and how it works. A community isn't just a collection of people that's gathered together. A community, whether a fandom or some other form, is based on the Social Contract of Reciprocity.
Now what is that and how does it work, you may ask. Let me explain.
The Contract of Reciprocity means that you don't just take out of a community, you give back too, with your time and energy. What you give depends on what the community is about and in the individual in question. For a fandom community it means that its writers, artists, gif makers and other creative people give their time and energy in the form of their works, it's their fic, art, gifs and so on. The non-creative people give with their enthusiasm and engagement for these works.
This is of course a bit simplified but we're on the introductory level here.
Which is why the arguments of, "write/draw/whatever for yourself!," and, "you're not owed kudos/reblogs/comments," aren't just utterly wrong but very harmful. Because they maliciously encourage non-creative people to break the Social Contract of Reciprocity and tells creative people that we shouldn't not expect that contract to be honoured. We shouldn't expect anything in return for our time and energy.
They are the battle cries of consumerist fans who doesn't want communities because communities mean effort. They want a consumerist Paradise where they get as much content as they can for as low a price as they can manage to pay. And since creative people in fandom can't really demand money, for writers in particular it would put us on shaky legal ground, and we have no way of enforcing the upholding of the Social Contract of Reciprocity, what these fans can get away with is often repaying nothing.
But a consumerist fandom is directly antithetical to having a fandom community.
Alas I must report that the consumerist fans and fandom have, by and large, won. There are holdouts in older fandoms, but even these are being encroached upon and destroyed. A slow process to be sure, but one that is happening faster and faster, and one that is 100% of fandom itself.
Unfortunately this means more and more creators, writers, artists and more, are leaving. And fewer and fewer are arriving to replace them. Because, and pardon my French here, why the hell would they?
Why the hell would anyone put time and effort into making something that they don't get money for and where the people consuming it will just throw it in the trash the moment they're done with it? Where they as people are only seen as a nuisance? Where they will be sucked dry by people who loudly and proudly announces that they don't matter and that the Social Contract of Reciprocity will never be honoured?
You'd have to be a particular kind of masochist to subject yourself to that and really most of us aren't.
So fandom really needs to cut it out with the, "fandom is community!". No, we're not, we haven't been for years. It was destroyed by the consumerist "creators aren't owed anything!" brigade and its resulting apathy towards creative fans. Because if you want a fandom community then yes yo do owe your creatives your time and energy. You owe to give back to them and not just take from them as much as you can. Even if all you can give today is a tagless reblog, hitting the kudos button or writing 'second kudos' in the comment section, or whatever small effort it is that you can manage. But yes you do owe it.
Or you can decide that you'd rather have a consumerist fandom that doesn't owe its creators anything and suck them dry. But in that case I hope you enjoy AI generated content because very soon that's all you will have.

In your experience (and, of course, your husband's) what are the pros/cons of the different materials for devices? It seems that plastic, resin, and stainless steel are the most commonly used, but they all seem to have different trade-offs (I know stainless steel is heaviest, for instance).
🔒Hey, Tom here. Chastity devices need to balance four different qualities: Comfort, Convenience, Security, and Sexiness.
Comfort is an essential quality: if a device is constantly scraping, chaffing, rubbing, or otherwise damaging your tender bits so much that you need to keep removing it, then clearly that device is not working for you, and you’re not going to wear it. Yes, some time for adaptation is normal, but having to deal with edema or rashes is not. For example, this is why some all silicone cages rate pretty well for comfort — the squishy silicone means that you shouldn’t need to worry about hard edges rubbing against your skin. Similarly, some of the stainless steel devices have smooth rings and edges (more comfort against your skin), but are sometimes offset by sharp edges on seams or the locking mechanisms.
Convenience is an often overlooked criteria when some people discuss their devices, but it really is just as important as comfort, for many of the same reasons. Convenience concerns the ease with which you can keep the device clean, and engage in your normal daily activities. If your device has to be removed a couple of times a day, that’s not especially convenient for your keyholder. If you can’t clean it properly, then you can’t wear it for very long. If you can’t work or exercise while wearing it, then that’s a problem For example, one of my personal criteria is being able to use a urinal; between my work and my regular activities, I can’t always find a stall. I can, however, find a tree when I’m working outside, or on a particularly long bike ride.  This is a reason that I avoid cages with tiny little holes (or worse, sprinkler heads) at the tip.
Fitting into the convenience category is the ability to wear a device under normal clothing. The old CB2000 and the Curve left rather odd looking or simply large bulges in most dress pants, and many of the lesser-known Chinese devices depend upon locks or fasteners at odd angles. If people at work keep staring at your crotch as if they are trying to figure out if you’re hiding something, then that’s not especially convenient.
Security: Some  of you might be surprised that I didn’t mention Security right at the beginning. That  is because, based on everything that I’ve read in the last twenty-plus years from guys describing their own experiences, if a device is not comfortable or convenient, then they aren’t going to wear it anyway, so the security is moot. By Security, I’m referring to whether or not you can masturbate while wearing the device, and if so, how successfully. While presumably any device will prevent intercourse, many allow some (most?) men some degree of manipulation to the point of orgasm (or at least, something that allows an ejaculation of sorts). While a lot of men rely on using tighter cuff rings or opt to get a piercing so they can anchor the end of their penis to the cage, the fact is that most of us do not need to remove the cage portion in order to have an orgasm. Some cages will do a better job than others, but no cage is Alcatraz (or Azkhaban).
So, if no device is 100%, why even wear them? Because when you come right down to it, men who are into being locked aren’t wearing them because their partners don’t trust them (i.e., they are not for preventing random intercourse); they are wearing them because they enjoy the idea of erotic orgasm control. The more inescapable the device, the more believable their internal script when it comes to their "willing suspension of disbelief." We want something that allows us to believe more completely in our fantasies of turning over the control of our orgasms (within some limits of reason that we set for ourselves). This is why we’re willing to settle for a fairly comfortable and relatively inexpensive Holy Trainer instead of a less convenient and much, much more expensive Latowski. So, security is ironically not the most important thing with a chastity device.
And that brings us to Sexiness. Let's face it, many of us think that these cages simply look sexy or erotic, based on some weird kind of criteria we have in our heads. Personally, I think the metal devices from Steelworks or Mature Metal or Badass Workroom are sleek and eye-catching. My wife, however, thinks that most metal cages look like old plumbing parts. To be fair, though, she also thinks that most plastic cages look like old plumbing parts.
All this is lead-up to answering the original question: All devices and materials have different pros and cons when you match them up against these qualities. Stainless steel is much heavier than plastic, but is more secure in the sense that you can't easily break it. Plus, it gives one an inner sense of "I am locked for real" which adds to the fun. But, they may present problems with metal detectors, and they will, umm, drag you down a bit at the end of the day. So, bigger on security and sexiness, while possibly lower on convenience.
Plastics are lighter and easier to pass through travel security. But they need to be removed more frequently for good cleanings. Also, they may be more prone to cracking and breaking depending upon the material used. So, higher on comfort, while maybe lower on convenience.
Fortunately, there are many more interesting designs now than twenty or even ten years ago when I first started rating devices on this scale. Hopefully you can use this to make your own evaluations about picking a cage.

Darkness and the Demonic Divine Part 1
(I am speaking from my own investigations, experiences and gnosis of this)
I would like to speak about darkness; as an energy, as a “place”, how it applies to the demonic divine and how it can show up. This is a bit dream-like, gnosis woven in here, to try and conceptualize and convey the energies I am speaking to in tangible human language form.
Many paradigms say that darkness is the opposite of light and that “one cannot exist without the other.” This is not something I feel to be accurate or true. Darkness existed before light came into being (as is the case in many world mythologies as well) and will exist after light fades; and this has always been. It does not need light to exist. Darkness in this case can be synonymous with chaos, the primordial void, the creative cauldron, or womb-tomb - depending on how it is seen. Darkness can also drift into more internal and internal realm philosophies and notions as well. As an energy Darkness is vast. Light in a sense, is what splits the darkness and can be used to differentiate- to categorize and put things into boxes- like conscious and unconsciousness (this aspect of it would be on a psychological level or light/darkness ideas).  Darkness exists in many ways and different spaces. Darkness is not merely the inverse of light and does not simply exist to “balance” things out. This dichotomy that quite a lot of human philosophy the duality- is not something that is applicable to otherworlds, realms etc. Darkness can also speak to dark matter, space itself and other such theories in existence. Darkness as an energy and  “place” is very complex, it can include things humans consider “evil” (but aren’t actually; energy it is neutral and evil is mostly a human morality judgement bias- this is a nuanced discussion for another time though). Darkness also includes things relegated to the shadows of human consciousness, the unknown, primal layers, primordial layers, the night, the void etc. There is also natural darkness; in this instance the natural darkness found in humans and darkness in nature itself- among other types.
There are different types of darkness it is not just a conglomerate energy, different flavors if you will. And yes, the “light” of consciousness can be beneficial to engage with in some instances with the darkness, but I find it need a more expansive approach then how consciousness, logic etc is usually engaged with. Shadow work is a good but complex example of this. To understand the different types of darkness (via energetic feeling rather than what is “seen” via the mind) is another. There are certain dangers that hide in the light and ones that hide in the darkness. Trying to approach true darkness as merely an inversion of what is found in the light is very limiting, as so much more exists in the darkness. Darkness also encompasses all that is unknown (incomprehensible to the “light” of consciousness) but also the unknown that exists beyond personal perception. It is both within and without. This is quite difficult to actually put into words to conceptualize (given the nature of darkness itself) and is most often alluded to in metaphor. Because it is more about energy then what human words convey and often language is not enough, nor is the human mind able to fully grasp this- as by its very nature to truly remain in the dark is to avoid the light of the conscious ego mind.
Demonic Divine Darkness
I have noticed that most who speak about the demonic divine online tend to have a kind of immature understanding of the demonic divine and darkness. There seems to be a tendency with the demonic divine to take a kind of “rhp” (somewhat neopagan narrative in a sense) perspective and paradigm of the gods and apply it to demons.
By this perspective I mean that - the gods/demonic care about you specifically, about all you troubles/ wants and needs- that what the gods/demonic divine do, trials in your life, what the gods/demonic “ask” of you is specifically for your benefit, ideas of “fluffiness” almost and oneness/unity. That the gods/demonic care about humans specifically and wouldn’t ever do anything to hurt humans. That the gods/demonic are approached and interacted with in basically the same way you would another respected human ie that the cultures, laws, social norms, functioning and beliefs that apply to humans are applied fairly automatically to the gods/demonic.
It is almost like transposing directly neopagan “rhp” like paradigms and understandings of “deity/spirit work” of how it is in paganism generally onto the demonic divine. Taking something from the “light” in a sense and placing it upon beings of darkness and expecting it to work the same way.This is never to say that the demonic divine should not be respected and treated well etc, but that its more nuanced then just taking something that worked elsewhere and applying it directly and expecting the same outcome and interactions.
A couple of examples of this: Lord Rosier for example is the Dark Lord of love (He is not the only DL with this domain though). Many people equate love with romantic relationships or what humans understand as love. And yes that is part of His domain- but He actually presides over all forms of love. This includes more “unsavory” things to human consciousness, like love of war, love of violence, love of the taboo etc, love to obsession and all the more “unhealthy” aspects of it too; it isn’t just happy fluffy romantic love that is in His domain. Love is much vaster than what the general human populace understands it to be. Lord Rosier also presides over and is knowledgeable about love to the point of obsession and madness even. As such He can be called upon for baneful work in those directions, or help healing from it. This is the darkness that demons carry and delve into.
With “love” as an example of the demonic divine domain-there is nuance to this. Take obsessive “love” or other harmful forms of love for example; these things can be (nuanced again) unhealthy and damaging. While these areas are technically within the domain of what love is; what the Lord Rosier and the Demonic Divine actually deal with; is the divine level of this. Whereas dangerous obsession or narcissistic self-love etc (the point that it is damaging to other people- but I’m not delving into the nuance of it here) is more on the level of false darkness- and what Lord Rosiers energy is actually attuned to is Divine energy and divine darkness- not false darkness.
And this is true of all Dark Lords their domains and who they are, what energy they actually “represent” and preside over is the pure divine darkness level. Pure energy doesn’t mean it’s either good or bad- energy is neutral. Similarly just because something is divine or pure for example does not mean it is always or even has to be either good, healthy or needed for humans. And this is also a nuance that is often missed; the idea that all divine is and “has to be”  good for you.
Another point for example is with Lord Lucifer. I have noticed that some have referred to Him as very loving, kind, caring etc and almost “fluffy” in a sense, and only seem to mention this-as though this is all He is. Lord Lucifer whom I connect with, has never been nice or fluffy and He does love but it is on a completely different magnitude to how love is generally understood in humans. He can be utterly brutal in this as well. Of course; people connect differently and are not likely connecting to the same being even, but it kind of comes across as trying to “tone him down” to suit what people (their egos) are comfortable with or make Him “more accessible”. Which to my eyes is verging on disrespectful. Demons are not “fluffy,” and honestly it does not suit every practitioner to work with them- specifically because of the level of divine darkness They are and exist at. They also do not need to be toned down for the masses, and They work with who they choose, and those who feel called and drawn. This is not to say the demonic divine may never act like that, but to suggest that they predominantly do- is missing a whole lot of Them. This is of course a nuanced discussion though.
Truly working with (pathworking with) the demonic divine is fundamentally different from working with pagan gods. How the demonic divine work and interact with practitioners differs in quite a number of ways because the demonic divine’s viewpoint and approach is different.
To take a fundamentally “light” based paradigm and place it on these beings is doing a disservice to practitioners because it is putting the Demonic Divine in a box and missing out on a large part of Their magnificence (which lies in the Darkness- after all They are beings of darkness). Trying to pierce the divine darkness with light, often scatters and reflects the shadows it doesn’t really make for a better connection to the divine darkness.
Differences between Pagan deities and Demonic Divine in workings
Pagan gods tend to be specifically interested and invested in humans and their lives and this world/earthen realm. While they do not need humans to exist, they are mythologically tied to humans and this realm. Most of their mythos is linked in some way to human life or understanding- creation myths for example. Their myths which could also be read as allegories for humans to understand how to function well amongst each other, stories, and examples of humanizing the divine. The Demonic Divine are not interested or invested in humans in the same way that gods are (on the level I connect with, but also in general). To assume that Demonic Divine care about humans in the same or similar ways (people’s everyday lives, minutiae, and mundane matters etc or even the more extreme version where the demonic are treated like a wish granting vending machines or they exist specifically for you and your desires) is distorted and not aligned the truth of it, nor of who They are. This isn’t to say that the demonic divine don’t “care” at all etc They can choose to and sometimes do, but its not the same way as gods do and its nuanced.
Also I think it depends on what level you get the demonic on as to how much They care; about the practitioners’ themselves, day to day lives and mundanity and more generally- about a wider humanity. For example; more “earthen level” demons may demonstrate more caring about humanity as a whole then say the otherworldly demonic I connect on. I don’t find the Demonic Divine to be as “invested” in the functioning of the (inner) and earthen realms, the way pagan gods can be. For example the Demonic Divine I connect with have no connection to seasonal nature on the earthen or inner realms. Given that the demonic divine are beings of darkness; in Their auspices and domains They also carry the darkness of these areas; which is much more expansive than what most people are aware of. Demonic Divine beings and Their domains do encompass the darkness in ways that are not bound by what humans find societally acceptable or even in ways that human minds and consciousness can truly comprehend.
The further away from the human realm one gets when exploring or connecting to these beings- the less human judgements  and biases even matter and honestly the more dangerous it can become. And in the vastness that is Darkness; it is also not just divine demonic energy, there are other divine dark energies that are not demonic. And there many types of darkness as well.

Inbox Summary 9/29/2023
Hi peeps, so I'm going to try something new. For some of your Asks in my Inbox, instead of answering them individually, I'm going to do a combined summary post of all of them.
I'm doing this because a lot of the questions are about past stuff I've already answered. I don't have time to keep answering the same questions (Search is your friend, my friends), I don't want to take up space on my blog to answer stuff that has already been answered, and the main thing is, I'm TIRED.
I'm in one of my fandom "meh" moods. I get into fandom funks every once in a while, where I'm over it, and don't feel like posting. BUT, I love you guys, and I know the next big scoop is just around the corner. Every time, I say to myself, I'm just going to fandom retire, Cait gets engaged, Sam is seen with a new woman, Cait gets married, Sam is seen with a new woman, I get the scoop AHEAD of time that Cait is pregnant (remember when I posted MONTHS before that someone from Outlander was pregnant? and 'lo and behold, that August, Cait announced she'd had her son), Sam is seen with a new woman, Cait has her baby, etc, etc. So, I don't give up...because I know there's more stuff coming, and also, like I said, I really enjoy my Team here.
So, what I'm going to do is either on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, depending on how busy I am, I'm going to do a weekly summary of answers to some of my Inbox questions. They will be short answers. And for further details, you guys can just Search my blog or Search Google.
I'll still answer some questions individually, but it will depend on the subject, and how busy I am in RL. Please keep sending me questions and DM's. I'll answer them. Some won't be answered as in depth as others, that's all.

Sam is expected in New York next week, for the Keepers of the Quaich event ON Cait's birthday, October 4. For those gnashing "why do you think Cait wouldn't go to New York to spend her birthday with Sam?! She could?! They're friends?!" Um, yes, they're friends...but REALITY CHECK: Cait is married to Tony McGill and has a toddler son with him. Logic dictates that Cait and family aren't going to schlep from Europe to New York to be with Sam, who is simply her friend and costar, and NOTHING MORE. Cait will spend her birthday with her husband and son, and she has a TON of friends, she's not going to fly to NY expressly for Sam. Plus, he's BUSY on her birthday, remember? He's going to be at that Keepers of the Quaich event.

No, Sam and Sophie Skelton never dated. Sam never posts who he dates (except when he went Instagram official with Mackenzie Mauzy, but that was after 2 years of a committed relationship), and he posted pics with Sophie on a motorcycle at his Glasgow home. If they were secretly dating, he would have been much more secretive about it. I mean, I hope Sam is into some kink, but da/daughter ain't one of them. Who's your daddy? hahaha.

By now, we all know Sam's ex, Abbie Salt is fighting some type of cancer. Yes, she hasn't posted in a while. I'm worried about her too. But her sister, Charlotte Salt, has posted, and she posts on her professional design IG accounts as well. If Abbie had taken a turn for the worse, I don't think her sister would be posting. I hope Abbie makes a full recovery, wish her all the best.

Thanks for letting me know that two other of Sam's exes, Hannah James and Mackenzie Mauzy recently started following birthing, doula, and parenting accounts on IG. Looks like their next adventure is motherhood. Also wish them all the best.

The podcast with that IG influencer that was supposedly going to have some Sam content, as far as I know, there hasn't been any Sam mention. So, that was all smoke and mirrors, trying to get some free advertisement. Nothing to see there.

The two blonde, blue-eyed Scottish IG influencers supposedly being linked with Sam. I see no evidence of that. Again, seems to be just smoke and mirrors, and names dropped in my Inbox to see if I would post them or not. Nothing to see there.

Asking for a cheat sheet of the women Sam has dated and what do certain initials mean. I've done plenty of posts summarizing the women Sam has dated. Please Search my blog or Search Google. As for initials, I don't use initials, I post full names. So, if you see a woman's initials, match them to the full names I've posted.

Cait's dad's funeral. And do I have questions about Sam being there? Um, that's all Extreme Shipper bullshit, lies, spin, deception, and now they've sold it as shipper canon. NO, I don't have any questions because WHO was at Cait's father's funeral is VERY clear. Again, Search what I've posted. There are pic, video of Cait sitting next to her mother, and the "Sam is sitting next to Cait but he's wearing a wig" is her brother. NOT Sam. Tony is sitting in the rows behind, holding baby BalfeMcGill, as are other spouses. NO ONE from Outlander went to Cait's dad's funeral. Please THINK. Cait has a big family and she has a TON of friends, some she has known for YEARS. If anyone was going to go all the way to Ireland for her father's funeral, it would be her immediate and LARGE extended family, all the family's friends in Ireland, and then Cait's close friends. Sam and Outlander people aren't even in the first few rungs of WHO would get invited to the funeral. And yes, that includes, Sam Heughan. Besides, Sam was in Las Vegas during the funeral, and there are lots of posts showing that.

I know the TRUTH about Cait and Sam never dating, and Cait being with Tony since 2014. I know this thru verifiable and identifiable sources who directly and personally know Cait, Sam, and Tony. So, there are NO questions for me, because I've known the TRUTH for 9 years. It's that simple.

As, for my little frothy pet troll who sends me weekly rants about Sam. You can keep going, but all I do is laugh and laugh at how pathetic you are. What you write doesn't upset me because I'm not personally invested in Sam. I'm really not. I post about him because I get info about him, and people are interested in it. But I don't care one way or the other. My IP tracker tells me where the basement is from where you gnash and froth so desperately. So, go ahead, make my day, but I'm NEVER going to post what you send me. You'll never get that satisfaction. Never. Try me.
