I'm thinking about keith and how he grew up as a mixed kid but didnt know he was mixed. But there has to be Some things he did that was more galra
So like. As he grew up his hair got a bit of a purple twinge to it (not super noticeable, but definitely there). He gets very slight fangs. I think purring/growling is so fun in concept (but before voltron the last time he purred was probably around shiro. If not that than his dad. Keith growling is more common)
Also i feel like his dad would have taught him some galra shit he learned from krolia and when keith went to school everyone was so confused about some of this little boys interactions
Anyways voltron time now. Pidge and hunk are like "guys. I swear i heard keith purr. This is crazy" and lance is like "yeah? He growls too. This isnt news." Bc he pays so much attention to his rival 24/7
And when keith joins the blade he sees them do the some of the same shit that he did as a little kid and hes like "oh. It was galra traditions. Thats cool"

A lot of wacky stuff happens in the later months of this game...I know the story! Of course!! I played it ages ago though, and so being a player of it - it almost strikes me as brand new (To be fair, I played p3p right before p3r was released, but I didn't end up getting very far)
A LOT gets thrown out and this isn't even close to being the end either. The characters still don't really have an idea of what's going to happen and it's already NOVEMBER.. the whole game takes place within a year's time and we're almost there and we still don't know anything. oh boy

i completely solved a cryptic crossword for the first time the other day! this is huge for me because i've always been so annoyed by them lol. but i kinda get it now, it is very satisfying to figure them out.
that said, there are several answers where i still do not totally understand the clues. if anyone who is familiar with cryptics (sometimes just called "crosswords" outside of the US) wants to help me out, i'd be very interested to hear your take!
this cryptic was in the 2022 puzzle mania edition of the nyt (released at the very end of the year), so if you are planning to solve it and haven't yet, i guess don't read this? lol. since i waited five months to do it i feel like that will apply to no one, but just in case.
i realized after drafting this post that the answer key is available online (here), but it did not actually answer my questions in every case, so i've kept my original text but added the answer key answer after each one in case it makes more sense to you than it does to me.
13A. Has misgivings about deception to an auditor (4): RUES. so "has misgivings about" is the definition of "rues". but i don't know what "deception to an auditor" is doing. could it have something to do with the fact that "rues" is a homonym and anagram of "ruse", a kind of deception? but i still can't figure out what "to an auditor" is for.
the answer key gives "homophone ruse" for this, so i guess i was right about the deception part, but i still don't get the auditor thing.
14A. A con almost grabs actor's awards left unbalanced (10): ASYMMETRIC. so EMMYS is hidden backwards in "asymmetric", which takes care of "actor's awards" and "left", and "asymmetric" means "unbalanced", i guess. so that leaves "A con almost grabs", along with the A and TRIC of the answer. i can't figure out how to make those relate to each other.
answer key says "a(symmE)trick – k (rev. Emmys)". fuck does that mean?? why are we subtracting the k? and i'm still not really sure what the con is there for?
26A. Concentrate for spare and strike (5): THINK. "concentrate" is the definition of "think". what is the "for spare and strike" doing??
answer key: "thin + K". okay i see how thin = spare but wherefore this K? does K stand for strike in baseball? that sounds vaguely familiar...
28A. African country returned Los Angeles family inheritance (7): SENEGAL. senegal is an african country, and it's also an anagram of angeles. i'm guessing the "returned" is a clue for the anagram? but what is "family inheritance" for? oh wait, senegal backwards is LA genes!! but then is it just a coincidence that "angeles" anagrams to "senegal", or is that indicated in the clue somewhere???
answer key: "rev. L.A. + genes". okay so it does sound like angeles being an anagram of senegal is a coincidence, or at least not covered in the clue?? seems like a missed opportunity but what do i know.
5D. Largely moderate Arizona city (5): TEMPE. tempe is a city in arizona. what's "largely moderate" doing here?
answer key: "temper – r". am i to understand that this is saying moderate = temper and the "largely" part of the clue is telling me to keep most but not all of "temper"?

I bet my ass that Vasili is the mastermind of all thats happened in crimes. Maybe alongside with the queen. I also bet that something will happen in marguerite's show and the blame will fall on sebastian, but at the end we will find out that it was vasili all along. Pb loves to do these fake reveal moments (like vos with the cop, crimes 1 with the guy and the old lady and I think murder at homecoming did it too) and I wouldnt be surprised if they repeat it in this book again.
You know I did start mulling over the possibility that Vasili is the sole mastermind after I made my post about him. During the chapter, I was only thinking about him maybe being the killer, but there’s nothing that says he couldn’t be the one pulling the strings so far. And considering the way pretty much everyone describes him, I think it’s plausible.
I also think it would make sense for Sebastyan to be the hooded figure in this case. He probably already does have extreme loyalty to Vasili since they’re both illegitimate children and have been treated as less than because of it. That’s probably compounded by his hatred for Trystan. And I’ve noticed that one of either Vasili or Sebastyan is often mentioned even when the conversation was initially about the other. For example, if you ask Marguerite about Vasili in the dinner chapter, she says something about how he will “keep Bas in line”. So I think what you said about Sebastyan initially taking the fall is likely as well. Also to add more merit to this theory, if Vasili felt it would be easier to somehow get the Heir Equity Act passed and remove Trystan as heir by killing Juliana, then it all makes sense as everything would lead to him assuming the throne. And Olivia did say that the initiative was put on hold due to infighting between Juliana, Sebastyan, and Nadja and imply that Juliana was in the way due to her stubbornness after all. I just can’t figure out how they expect to get the Act passed if this is the case.
But either way, I wouldn’t be mad at this reveal. I think I’ve already made it known that I have an issue with the way PB does mysteries. Something about them is always unsatisfying. But I feel like the writers have set themselves up really well so far with CoP 2 because there are so many possibilities and many of them make sense, which makes it fun to theorize. And I think it will be fun yet still surprising to ultimately find out which one is correct or if it’s something no one has considered but still makes sense

Okay, so I just watched a few reaction videos on youtube about the last episode of HotD, cause I wanted to see how others interpreted Daemon‘s actions, and I gotta say, I‘m a little disgusted. So consider this here a rant about people but also just general advice for anyone, even for people who are not watching the show.
Ignoring whether or not there was some bigger plan behind the pleasure house scene, and also ignoring the fact that Daemon left Rhaenyra alone there: Ending it there and then was just the right thing to do. And I‘m not talking about his motives here (like he felt remorse, he shouldn‘t use her …), but just about the simple fact that Daemon clearly didn‘t want to continue with their intimacy anymore. I didn‘t think I‘d ever had to say this because I thought (hoped) that this was common knowledge but you can‘t imagine how many people I‘ve just seen who went: Don‘t leave her hanging like this after getting her all horny! What do you want, boy, yes or no? What, can‘t he get it up, what‘s his problem?
So let me put this very clear and simple: You don‘t owe anyone intimacy. You don‘t owe anyone sex, even when you were the one who started being intimate in the first place. It‘s totally normal (and happens a lot) to just not feel comfortable anymore in the middle of it, for so many different reasons. And when that happens, it‘s completely fine to just tell your partner, stop there and continue another time, when you‘re feeling better about it. As the one being fucked you don‘t owe your partner that you just take it and be used for their pleasure. As the one doing the fucking you don‘t owe your partner to pull through to satisfy them. (Because yes, this is a gendered discourse, too, because especially cis men are somehow expected by society to always be needy and horny and take what they want, which is a pretty problematic view and has bad consequences for all genders.)
It‘s fine to say No. You should in fact say No, when you don‘t feel good about it. Saying No isn‘t a joking matter and no sign of weakness or impotence. It happens and it‘s normal and it’s absolutely nothing to feel bad about.

every time I think about all the crimes the education system has committed I need to close my eyes and take a deep breath. and it did it on purpose, it was made for that. it's still out there telling lies and misinformation and failing young kids so so so hard. i think about it mostly in terms of gender and lgbt rights because that's my field of study, but the list is so heartbreaking long. every time a colleague tells me they don't wanna discuss a topic in class like it's a dead rat i wanna whack them on the head with a blackboard eraser. you ignorant pos that's your job, that's your fucking job!!!! do you have any idea the responsibilities that the job you've committed yourself to doing entails. and fuck the state that isn't standing right there ensuring you get the education you need to properly teach those kids and making sure that their rights are being upheld. i wanna set something on fire
