Since we’re on the topic of Sandy today, can I just say that “there’s nothing fun we can do with her” isn’t a good excuse? Especially since it’s objectively false

Sandy has been a staple of this show since early season 1. She’s been the subject of many iconic episodes and scenes, and (in my opinion at least) remained likeable in the middle seasons while most characters temporarily lost some of their charm during that time. She continues being a fun character in recent seasons and I’m always yearning to see more of her *because* I find her funny and interesting and compelling

Plus, the concept of being a land mammal living underwater among seafolk is wonderfully executed with Sandy and there’s still *a lot* we can do with that

Some people say that the show has run its course and strayed from its original intentions or whatever, and that’s why there are no more fun ideas left with Sandy. But I simply don’t see it that way; Sandy (as well as other characters) have a lot to offer and maybe… just maybe…. straying from the “original vision” by having Sandy interact with more characters (especially female ones) is a good thing???

.... I keep forgetting that the mountain lovers club is a thing. I was not expecting Jade to get so poetic. I continue to enjoy leaening more about the leech twins.

On a personal note, my grandpa was an adventurer so this event is going to feel more familiar. Even though ive never traveled there just growing up with someone who adores stories about the wilderness, the montain climbing, and living in cold areas... Has mementos of his time in those places whether it be hats or rocks... Whether it's shared talks about what he experienced or what his friends had experienced, the way they talk about it is wonderful.

I look forward to seeing where Epels home is like and if its like any place grandpa talked about.
