📖 Tonight I read “The power of kindness”
The chapter I’m reading is called Contact (To touch and to be touched), it’s interesting to read and I’d like to share;
“The incapacity of being in touch with others can become a tragedy of solitude. We become our own prisoners.
Why do we not succeed in opening up to others?
The reasons are many, and the most common ones are that we feel inferior and other people appear to us as better and more intelligent; or we feel superior, and we think contact with others is a waste of time.
Maybe we are afraid of being invaded and controlled; or perhaps we fear being humiliated and wounded.”

Suatu malam aku pernah tertegun dengan seorang wanita paruh baya. Ia berhati mulia yang dengannya aku sadar,, bahwa selama ini... pikiranku masih terlalu pendek, anganku masih seperti sumbu, mimpiku masih menggelantung di atas pelafon kamar tidurku. Aku menyadari bahwa jika aku menganggap inspirasi itu datang dari orang-orang yang selalu berprestasi, orang-orang sukses, para motivator... Aku akui aku masih berpikiran seperti sumbu. Wanita itu membuatku sadar bahwa inspirasi terbesar yang bahkan membuatku menangisi diri sendiri adalah ketika aku tau “Ternyata di Dunia ini masih banyak orang baik” Orang-orang yang senantiasa peduli, orang-orang yang tak terlihat, tak berbayang, tak mengharapkan apapun, mereka adalah manusia-manusia hebat yang berusaha untuk menjadi besar dan membesarkan orang-orang disekitarnya. Allah tak pernah salah memilih, mereka orang hebat, aku kagum, aku bangga, dan aku terharu. Berkat mereka aku menjadi paham bahwa aku pun hanya ingin bisa menjadi orang-orang seperti mereka. :’)

How to be Happy
The first step in being happy is having gratitude. Everyday, write down something you are thankful for.
The second step is giving. Everyday, give something to someone no matter how big or how small. It does not matter if you simply give them a compliment or if you treat them to lunch, it will make you feel good.
The third step is your choice. It must be a POSITIVE choice. Do what you do that makes you happy. Find joy in the small things in life. Take a walk. Listen to music. Enjoy the life that you have been blessed with.
