What drives me even more insane about this scene is how you'd expect Gojo to imagine High school era! Geto in the crowd. Or at least not the cult leader, worst of all the curse users Geto Suguru. But no, it's the cult leader Geto. It's Geto as Gojo last remembered him. As Geto last was. Whatever choices Geto made, wherever his choices led him and them, however he was, whoever he was, traumas and messed up ideas and bad choices and ill reputations and scorns and all. Gojo wanted Geto Suguru there. Not any ideal version. Not any "what if" version. Not any "at some point in time before things went downhill" version. Not any "when your hands weren't stained with innocent blood" version. He knew very well what he wanted. And he wanted it all the same. He wanted Geto Suguru. However he was. He just wanted him to be there. He just wanted him to be.
And he didn't want him to help him, he didn't want him to fight with him even if they were strongest together and always fought together for a while. He just wanted him to be there in the crowd and cheer him on. He just wanted him to stand there and give him one of his sweet, heartwarming smiles that shaped his eyes into crescent moons. He just wanted him to be. Then even if Gojo had died in the end anyway, he would have been satisfied. It would have been worth it. Only if Geto was there.

can I request sumn about arkham knight era jason catching a darling after they escape, and then going about punishment mayhaps :0
He really didn't know what she was thinking, trying to run out of the door to the compound like that. Maybe she wasn't thinking at all. Maybe she just wanted to get as far away from him as possible. His throat burned as he slammed his cowl on and ran after her. The sound of his modulated voice rang through the walls and made a few militia members in a nearby barrack room jump.
"____!"
____ continued to sprint, pushing her legs as hard as she could to lose him. She turned a corner and saw a few more soldiers chatting in the hall; the instant they heard her frantic footsteps, one reached for the comms button on their headpiece while the other headed towards her. "Beta Target's on the loose, in Wing A!"
____ grabbed the handle of the door closest to her and swung it open, slamming it into the boot of the soldier running towards her before shutting it, turning the lock, and grabbing whatever she could to barricade it. She only had seconds at most before one of them started kicking it down, and Jason was still coming for her. Her eyes darted around the large storage room. Storage containers: ammo, guns, smoke, some stun sticks, body armor...She scrambled for a weapons container and grabbed one of the smoke bombs and a stun stick--No time to load a gun, she decided. The soldiers outside had started bashing the door to weaken it, and she could hear the Arkham Knight's voice barking orders at them over the communicator. She leaped inside one of the half-empty boxes of body armor and lobbed the smoke bomb at the barricade, and pulled the lid of the crate shut over her.
Her thumb hovered shakily over the stun stick's trigger. The muffled sound of scraping metal gave way as the men's voices grew louder and clearer. "Door's been breached," one of the men barked. "Fan out and search for her--"
BOOM!
The smoke bomb rattled the outside of the tank and ____ heard the soldiers coughing. "God damnit, she got into the equipment," another militia member groaned. "She might be armed. Do we go safeties off while we hunt for her?"
"Fuck no, we don't," another snapped. "The Boss would kill us if we shot his girl on accident, even if she was armed!"
Before they could argue any further, a new set of footsteps marched into the room. The modulated voice coming from the figure did nothing to disguise his anger. "All of you, out. I'll find her myself." The militia left without a word, and ____ held her breath and shut her eyes as she prayed he wouldn't find her somehow. "The cowl's got thermal vision, you know that. I'll give you one chance to come out before I turn it on to find you."
Silence.
"____, come out."
More silence, aside from Jason's increasingly heavier breathing.
A sudden metal clang and clash made ____ jolt. She clamped a hand over her mouth to keep from crying out. Another one rang out as Jason slammed his fist against it. and then another as he threw it across the room and the contents clattered onto the floor.
"NOW!"
Tears streamed down ____'s face as she quietly sobbed into her hand. Why did things have to turn out this way? Why couldn't Jason stop this quest for revenge? Why did Joker have to ruin his--and your---life by poisoning him with hatred? Why couldn't he just let you go?
____ heard him standing over the crate she was hiding in, and she gripped the stun stick tightly. The electric sparks arced and illuminated the crate with a low buzz. "I can see you holding that," the Knight taunted. "If you're gonna try and incapacitate me, you better hit me in one of the armor's weak points and do it with a solid hit." He tapped his armor and placed both hands on the crate's lid. "Because as angry as I am right now, I don't want you to get hurt. Y'know why?"
He ripped the lid off of the crate and glared down at ____.
"Because I love you."
____'s body froze as the Knight looked down at her through his helmet. Her chest rose and fell rapidly, and her mouth ran dry. The Arkham Knight snatched the stick from her and threw it behind him, and scooped her up to toss over his shoulder. As he walked back to his quarters, the only thing breaking their silence was Darling's sniffling.
He slammed the door behind them, and finally said one word. "Lock." The RFID reader inserted into the metal pins of the doorframe locked in place once it sensed Jason's cowl and recognized his voice print. He threw ____ onto the bed they shared and pinned her arms and legs with his body. "Look at me." His voice was dangerously quiet.
____'s cries grew louder and she squeezed her eyes shut. "I'm sorry," she sobbed. "I just can't take it anymore, I--"
"LOOK at me."
She felt one of his hands on her cheek forcibly turn her to face him. Blinking back tears, she obeyed and slowly opened her eyes to look up at the man she loved too much, hidden by that damn cowl.
"Do you know what's going to happen to Gotham? The Cloudburst, all the most dangerous criminals wreaking havoc, my men's tanks rolling over every dead thug and crushing Batman? And when it does, when I destroy everything in it, you are going to be safe down here until it's over. Because I am never going to lose you again." His voice broke and his grip on her cheek softened.
"I know I'm not the Jason you fell in love with. I really tried to be that for you after I took you, but clearly that wasn't good enough for you. That's why you tried to abandon me, because I'm not what you wanted. Maybe you were happier when you thought I was dead."
"Jason, I--"
"Don't call me that!"
____ flinched and cowered at his voice as he held her in place.
"Clearly, being gentle with you and accommodating and trying to be that old Jason for you isn't enough. You need to see both sides to understand that I really am trying to be good for you." His hands wandered lower and he used his armored gauntlets to easily rip her pants down. "You need to see all the rage and poison Joker filled me with, see what I've been trying to hold back from you and protect you from; then you'll understand how much I've been trying to protect you."
____ desperately tried to escape the Knight's grip. "Please don't do this," she begged. "I know how much pain you're in--"
"No, you don't. Not yet." He gripped her thighs and pulled them apart, exposing her nether regions to the cold air.
"I'm sorry I tried to leave you, but you're better than this!" Her voice was higher as she hysterically tried to convince him to stop. "Don't hurt me, please, please take the cowl off and look at me--"
"Promise me you'll stay." ____ could hear him gritting his teeth as trying to hold back how close he was to tears. "No matter what. No matter how suffocating it is, no matter what you see me do, who you see me kill. Promise you'll never abandon me."
"I promise," ____ begged. "I will never try to leave you again, I swear!"
He kept his hands still as he looked down at her hyperventilating and squirming underneath him to desperately get away. His cowl showed just how fast her heart was racing and the tears spilling down her cheeks painted faint traces of blue on her warm body in the thermal vision camera. [Status: Terrified].
He took the cowl off with one hand and bent down to kiss her trembling lips. "I know you won't," he murmured. "I hate having to make you afraid of me to get you to stay. I just want us loving each other to be enough." He wrapped his arms around her gently and let her curl up and cry against him as he held her. He could hear Joker's voice slithering in the back of his head. See, kiddo? Uncle J was right: sometimes you've gotta be cruel to be kind...

"What... what do you mean?" You swallowed, staring into his dark brown eyes. "On the way up here. I heard what you said to Ellie." A small smile graced your face. You could see his shoulders drop as you quoted him. "The smartest person I've ever met." He stalled for a moment, before adoring a small, awkward smile. "Oh," he said with a chuckle. You anticipated waking to footsteps.
Ones set at a pace of celerity, swiftness, softness. Ones in a rush to find you, but not in a rush to be heard, a weapon already in the human attached's hand, a vendetta already planted in their brain.
A vendetta to kill you in your sleep. A coward's slaughter, in your opinion.
What you did not anticipate, however, were the footsteps to be ones the complete opposite of swift and soft. They were the direct antithesis of anything attempting any sort of subtlety.
They were sloppy. Loud. Uncaring. Oblivious. Inconsistent.
But, familiar.
The rifle in your shaking hands loosened in your grip, as well as the tightness of your sheets you had wrapped around you. Your breathing slowly steadied as the stomping got closer and closer to your bedroom door, and as the door finally slammed open, the ambiance of the fan whirring above your head became intermixed with the culprit's heavy breathing.
Joel fucking Miller's heavy breathing.
You set the rifle down next to your bed as he steadied himself on his feet, dazed and dizzy with how quickly the door opened for him. He nearly slammed against the wall with it. The whiskey in his hand sloshed out of his cup as he did so.
Finally, with a shake of his head, his eyes met yours, and a wide smile etched over his face.
"Y/N," he said, stumbling his way to you. "Oh Y/N."
You said nothing. Your face painted with a drowsy, unamused expression with a hint of annoyance beginning to grow in your eyes.
He staggered his way to your bedside, setting the glass on your dark-wooded bedside table, and leaning onto the bed to bring his face close to yours. You could smell his breath, his clothes. Both were a mix of stale beer, expired cigars, and sour bourbon. He smelled greasy, sweaty, rotten.
You didn't hide your grimace. You couldn't.
"How - how are you?" he asked, still wobbling. "Ha - Is - is Ellie here?"
You fucking hated when he got like this. You fucking hated it. You declined a response, only blinking your languid, puffy eyes up at him.
"Oh, don't be like that sweetheart," he mumbled, now tucking his face into your neck and pressing your body down into the springy mattress. You didn't touch him, resorting instead to just allow him guide you. In any other situation, your heart would flutter at the feeling of this much of his body pressing against yours. Not tonight.
You were too fucking tired for his shit.
"Smell good," he said, groaning as he set his entire body weight on top of your own. "Smell so good."
You didn't even have the energy to roll your eyes.
"Joel," you said. He didn't respond. Not even a hum. "Joel."
"Hm. What?" he said, his hot, spoiled, disgusting breath coating your neck and jaw.
"It's five in the fucking morning," you said, palms still glued to the mattress beside you. "We have to be out of here in an hour. I'm not going to wake your sorry ass up."
He mumbled something incoherent against your neck as he rolled off you, eyes bloodshot, one hand on his head and the other on his stomach. "Fuck off."
You wish that was the worst thing he had ever said to you while intoxicated.
You rubbed your eyes with the heels of your hands and peeled the covers off you, standing up completely. You grabbed your pillow and the comforter, forcing from underneath Joel's body. He groaned as you did so.
"The fuck are you going?"
You didn't respond. Just kept walking.
"Hey -" he said, his voice booming, sending a wave of fear down your abdomen, but he was cut off by you shutting the door behind you. You sighed - deeply - as you threw your pillow on the living room couch, along with your blanket. You then walked to the kitchen sink, feet and legs erupting with goosebumps, and filled a small, slightly cracked glass with cold water. At least, as cold as sink water from a random apartment in post-apocalyptic Boston could be. You walked quietly back to the bedroom, opening the door softly. His deep, flem-filled snores gave you some relief.
You took the now lukewarm whiskey off the bedside table and replaced it with the water, as quickly and quietly as you could, before turning back around to leave.
As your bare feet padded against the floor, you heard something behind you. You thought it was an inflection in Joel's deep breaths, but as you began to close the door behind you, you were proven wrong.
"Y/N," he mumbled, so quietly you wondered if he was still asleep. "Y/N. I love you."
Your body froze on you, even as his snores once again started to fill the room. Your breaths became shaken. Your throat dried. Your heart pounded in your ears. Your hands shook.
And hot, angry tears flooded your eyes, dribbling down into your wide-open mouth.
You shut the door, stormed over to your bed for the evening, and cried yourself back to sleep.
~*~
You woke to sunlight streaming through the windows, littering over your swollen face, and a sticky pillow beneath your cheek. Your throat felt clogged and sore, as well as your muscles. You stretched yourself awake, glancing at the clock hung above the brick fireplace.
5:30. Perfect.
You wiped the crust from your eyes before standing up, your sleep shorts dangling from your hip bones, forcing you to tighten them. You walked quietly to the bathroom - washing your face, brushing your teeth, stabilizing your breaths. You then took a deep breath and headed to the bedroom; the pain of the night previous still seeping its way through your bloodstream like a strike of lightning. It was fresh. Bleeding over your psyche. Your brain. Your heart.
It still burned.
Luckily for you, both Joel and the water were long gone. You sighed from relief and walked over to your designated dresser. You slipped on jeans and a long sleeve shirt before draping your rifle and backpack over your shoulder. Your handgun remained in a locked drawer in the kitchen.
As you left your room, warm air drifted from the second bathroom down the hallway. It smelled of dish soap, shampoo, and maybe even a hint of cologne. Your nose twitched, unused to such a smell. As you entered the kitchen, however, the smell only became more pungent.
This was due to the fact that the smell was now attached to a man.
Joel stood tall - surprisingly tall - as he made himself a small cup of coffee. He was dressed to leave - loose jeans, a long sleeve grey shirt with a dark green flannel layered on top. His boots tied tightly on his feet. His hair damp from the shower. His skin golden in the rising morning rays.
And that bolt of lightning hit you all over again.
You swallowed thickly, loud enough for him to hear, and he turned around to meet your gaze.
It seemed as if a bolt of almost the same caliber hit him at the sight of you as well.
He cleared his throat once, twice, before saying softly, "You want some?" His throat was coated with exhaustion, and his under eyes were sunken deeply into his face.
You said with as much composure as you could muster, "I'm good."
You did not smile. You did not grin. You did not emote at all.
You walked past him to get your gun, unlocking the drawer quickly and taking the firearm into your hand. You checked the state of the ammo.
"You eat anything yet?" he asked you. He spoke as if you were a bomb about to blow up in his face.
This made you smile.
You popped the muzzle back in place, satisfied with the amount you had left. "Not hungry."
He chuckled awkwardly. "Yeah, me neither."
God you wanted to fucking smack him.
You closed the drawer and locked it up tight, ignoring the heat rising into your cheeks and up your back. You then turned back towards the living room, hoping to pack some waters and food into your backpack, when a hand gripped around your forearm. It wasn't harsh, but it was firm.
You nearly elbowed him in the mouth. Nearly.
He looked you in the eye as he spoke - at least, he tried to. His breath now smelled of mint and coffee with a hint of his precious vanilla creamer.
"Hey," he said, his eyes filled with remorse, "about... about me, last night -"
About me.
The iteration of those two words finally snapped your brain in half, and without thinking twice, you ripped your arm from his grip and used your other arm to push him backwards into the kitchen island, effectively pinning him there. His somber eyes turned cold with shock, and maybe even fear.
"If you say 'me' one more fucking time -," you whisper yelled, face inches away from him, nostrils flared, body heated with rage. You could feel your entire arm shaking against his chest. " - I will leave you here and take this kid myself, got it?"
His chest rose up and down quickly, and a single bead of sweat dripped down his nose.
"Do you hear me?"
He nodded. Begrudgingly, but he nodded.
"Never - ever - come into my bed like that again," you said, brain and heart roaring with every emotion under the sun you were surprised you got any words out at all. "Never touch me like that again, never speak to me like that again, and never even come close to me when you are in that state of mind ever again. I am not your fucking caretaker. You want to OD in the middle of the night, fuck some random bitch be my guest, but I do not want to hear one word about it."
Tears started streaming down your face as you spoke, and you could have sworn a small puddle had gathered in Joel's left eye as well.
You scoffed, removing your arm from him. Rage still overriding every single logical thought you had.
"You are lucky I didn't kick you out and leave you on the fucking street," you said, walking away from him now. Your heart was banging against your chest so harshly you felt nauseated.
Maybe later you would think you were too harsh. Too mean. Too vengeful. Too much.
In that moment, you couldn't give less of a fuck.
You finished packing your backpack in your bedroom. Alone.
Joel did not leave that spot against the island for some time.
~*~
Joel's head was throbbing. A mix of hangover, regret, anger, and confusion giving his brain the perfect cocktail for a migraine.
Ellie's nagging voice trailing behind him didn't help matters.
"Come on," she said, a notable whine in the teenager's voice. Despite already having been on the road for three hours, she kept good pace with him, never once faltering from his stride. "I heard you two arguing this morning. Actually, correction, I was woken up by the two of you arguing this morning, so I think I deserve at least some sort of explanation."
This caused Joel to look up ahead of him to you, walking ahead of both him and Ellie by what seemed to him like at least half a mile, but in actuality, was not even a quarter.
It was far enough, however, that both him and Ellie assumed you could not a hear anything they were saying. An assumption that would bite Joel in the ass later.
Your steps on the forest path were calm, steady, consistent. Your back was straight and strong. You appeared to not have even broken a sweat, despite the humidity of the Massachusetts air.
Joel, on the other hand, was sweating in places he didn't even know he could.
He only exhaled in response to Ellie's pleas.
"What are you two anyway? Boyfriend and girlfriend, really good friends, fuck buddies -"
"Enough," he said sternly, and kept walking, wiping the sweat off his brow.
How did you seem to look completely unaffected, while he felt like he was melting into the forest floor?
He knew it wasn't just the heat that was making him feel so goddamn lousy.
Ellie was silent for a while, allowing Joel to finally force himself to think about something else - anything else - besides the words he said to you the night previous.
It didn't work. Nothing worked.
He was such a fucking coward.
Before Joel could really begin his spiral of self hatred, Ellie interrupted.
"Does she even know where she's leading us?" she asked, sounding suddenly annoyed. "We've been walking three hours without a break, let alone any sort of end in sight. Did she even tell you where we're going? I swear it's like we've been walking in circles."
Joel's jaw tightened, but he said nothing.
Ellie was quiet for a few moments, taking large gulps of her water as she followed Joel silently. It wasn't until the three of you made it to one of the biggest hills Joel had ever seen and you began to climb it that she spoke up once again.
"Are you fucking serious," she complained, sounding like a child. "Does that woman even know how long we've been fucking walking fo -"
Joel finally snapped. He knew why couldn't help but defend you. Of course he knew. He admitted it to you merely hours before.
He spun on his heel, facing her completely, and blocked her stride with his body. He waved his pointer finger in her face, contained icy rage present in his tone and eyes.
“That woman," he said, voice dark and venomous, "is the smartest person I have ever met. Do not question her until she gives you a reason to, and do not talk about her that way ever again, ya hear?"
He could tell he stunned the poor girl - her eyes wider than saucers and mouth agape. She immediately nodded in response, swallowing grimly, and Joel nodded as well.
"Good," he said, noticing his hands beginning to shake. "Now come on."
When you finally made it to the top of the hill, the three of you took a short break, coated in only awkward silence and audible chewing sounds, before you carried on.
~*~
The sun was beginning to set when you finally made it to your lodging for the evening. It was an old, dark wood cabin, stashed with old cans of soup, ammunition, and a shit ton of guns. You had used it for a base many times in the period before you met Joel.
You always wondered how beautiful it must have looked before the world went to hell.
You ate your meal alone, sitting by the fireplace as you did. Your eyes felt heavy and sunken, as well as your muscles. You were enjoying the noise of only the crackling fire in your ears.
Until, Joel made his way to you, sitting next to you on the floor, a glass of cold water in his hands.
As he sat next to you, you felt your psyche tear you in two.
Half of you wanted to get up and walk away. Yell at him. Scoff at him. Roll your eyes at him. Make every bodily movement you made prove to him how fucking angry you were. You didn't want to hear an apology. You were sick of his empty words, never filled with proof in his actions.
The other half of you, however, kept replaying the way he defended you without a second thought.
The smartest person he had ever met.
You wanted to know if that was true. Among other things.
On top of this, your body couldn't help but become...at ease around Joel. For as long as you two had been together - in bed or otherwise - you had developed a kind of comfort when he was around you. You were so familiar with each other, so used to each other's presence, that you had a hard time not feeling a little bit at home with his body and breathing near you.
You were being pulled in these two different directions - one by your head, the other by your heart - when Joel cleared his throat next to you.
"I -" he stopped, correcting himself, "you did a...a really great job today. This cabin is incredible. And safe. You're...you're truly incredible."
You bit at your lip, pulling the skin off of it in nervousness. You didn't know what to say.
"You don't have to say anything back to me," he said, solemnly. "I just...you deserve to know that. You deserve... a hellova lot better than me."
You hadn't faced each other yet. The two of you just staring into the fire, watching the wood crackle and the flames grow and grow. It was then, however, that his gaze burned into the side of your head.
"And..." he said, inhaling sharply, "...and I am sorry for how I acted. I... don't deserve your forgiveness, but I can promise you it will never, ever happen again."
He stared at you for some time, but you couldn't bring yourself to look back. To face him and by default everything that had transpired over the last twenty-four hours. You couldn't do it.
And so, Joel nodded, and began to stand up, likely headed to bed.
You didn't want him to sleep alone. You didn't want to sleep alone. You wanted Joel. You wanted this to end.
And so, before he could get all the way onto his feet, you grit your teeth and said, "I heard you."
He froze, sitting back down slowly, and you turned to look at him. His face had visibly paled. "What... what do you mean?"
You swallowed, staring into his dark brown eyes. "On the way up here. I heard what you said to Ellie."
A small smile graced your face. You could see his shoulders drop as you quoted him. "The smartest person I've ever met."
He stalled for a moment, before adoring a small, awkward smile. "Oh," he said with a chuckle.
"Did you mean that?" you whispered, the red flames painting the side of your face in oranges and burgundy.
His eyes burned into your own as he paused. You didn't fill the air. All you did was wait.
He deserved a minute to face his fear, just as you had.
When he finally did speak, his voice was confident. Unwavering. "Yes. I meant it." He took a deep breath. "And I also meant what I said to you last night."
Your heart rate accelerated, as well as your breathing. You couldn't believe what you were hearing.
You caught your breath as best as you could before saying softly, "Then say it. Say what you said to me last night."
His adam's apple bulged as he swallowed, and said without blinking. "I love you, Y/N. I'm in love with you. I have been for... for a while."
Instead of replying with your words, you leaned into him, and replied with a kiss.
His lips were wet from the water, and his breath tasted of warm soup and hot air. You smiled into the kiss, satisfied that he had finally started eating again, and he smiled too. He brought you closer by placing both of his palms on your cheeks, and brushing his tongue against your lips. You allowed him to enter happily, groaning slightly at the passion he was bringing into it. You kissed him back just as harshly, nibbling slightly on his bottom lip, hands in his soft hair, chests pressed together.
You couldn't even count the amount of times you and Joel had kissed before. You knew what he liked, how he kissed on couches versus beds, pressed against walls versus on the floor. You knew his body better than he did.
But this was different. This wasn't just an escape. This was real.
It was addictive.
You couldn't help yourself. You pulled him on top of you by his shirt, praying Ellie was a deep sleeper, the heat of the fire and his body making a small layer of sweat coat your body. Your kisses picked up speed, the desperation for the other present in every aspect of your beings. It was cooking the both of you alive.
As his hands began to wander up to the zipper on your jeans, you pulled away from his mouth, lips burning from his scruff. You knew it was now, or never.
"Joel," you said, voice lust and love filled. "I'm so fucking in love with you."
He smiled down at you, eyes filling with tears, and he kissed you again and again and again. Everywhere he could. Anywhere he could reach.
Whispering the same three words over and over again.
I love you I love you I love you.

Wolf
Jacob Black
Au - Speed up timeline and some details are changed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/n doesn't know if she would still be friends with Bella Swan if she knew what she did now at the start of their friendship. Becoming relatively good friends not long after Bella moved there after her.
She found out about Vampires when one had killed her dad. It destroyed her. Both in knowing vampire excise and one killed her dad. The only person she had left. The Clearwater's were a close family friend and they took her in. It also helped that her friend Jacon Black was they to help her through the loss. This was when Bella found out Edward Cullen was one and had to share that information with Y/n. She was always wary around Edward after and tried to be in public if she had to talk to him.
"I would love to stay and chat more but Sue is expecting me back soon. I don't want to worry her," Y/n told Jacob after they had spent most of the day together.
"Noo," He whined as he held onto her. "Stay the night I can get Dad to talk to her."
"Tempting but I promised Seth I would play video games with him," Y/n said smiling at him as she tried to pull his arms from around her. "God you need to stop working out." She joked when she couldn't get out of his arms.
"No," Jacob grumbled as he let her go. She kissed his cheek when she walked out of his room. He heard her talk to his Dad for a few minutes before shouting goodbye to both of them. Grabbing a book to read while he waited for her text to say she got home. However, a scream hung in the air. The book was thrown somewhere in his room as he ran outside, stopping by his Dad. His heart dropped when he saw y/n's car door open with blood on it.
Rage and anger were the only emotions he could feel coursing through his body. It felt like his skin was ripping apart, all his bones snapped at once. Standing in his place was a wolf. Billy had managed to wheel away before he was caught in the middle. He calmed Jacob down before they made their way back into the house. The house phone rang before Billy could dial the police's number.
It was Bella letting them know that Victoria was after y/n because they had killed her vampire mate, James. Jacob's body was shaking in rage. He managed to hold it in long enough for them to make a plan. They met at the border, Jacob as his wolf.
This was the only time Edward would ever have permission to cross the border.
Jacob used his nose to sniff y/n out and they soon found her tied to a tree, bandages poorly wrapped around her arm. Victoria was kneeling in front of her and by the looks of it was trying to torment her with information about the way her father died. Edward uses this opportunity to throw Victoria away from y/n. While Edward was fighting her, Bella made her way to y/n and got her out of the restains. She jumped when a wolf charged at Victoria and ripped her head off her body. Edward burned her body as Bella looked at the cuts on her arm.
"I'm glad they are not deep," Bella said breaking the silence. "I'm sorry you got dragged into this mess."
"I don't know how to respond to that," Y/n started at a tree. "Who's the wolf?"
Jacob came from behind a tree after she asked the question. He froze when he saw her. Y/n jumped up and ran towards him. He caught her in a hug and pulled her close. He had no idea what was happening but hoped his dad had some answers.
"Thank you for the help Edward," Y/n said as she looked at him.
"Friends?" He jokely questioned already knowing the answer. Accepting the step forward.
"Acquaintance," She smiled at him before looking at Jacob. "Can we go not?" Jacob picked her up and made his way back to his house. He would have to get his dad to call Sue and Harry to explain what happened. They were surprised to see Harry there along with Sam Uley.
"Is she okay?" Harry asked Jacob.
"She's asleep. We will have to check her arm but no physical harm," Jacob told them as he walked into the house with her in his arms.
"Did she see your wolf?" Billy got a nod as an answer. "What's wrong?" He asked noticing how his son was watching y/n's every movement.
"I saw the future," Jacob said as he chuckled at how silly that was. "I mean that's not possible." He looked towards the three men but noticed the look they shared.
Before they could say anything, y/n began moving. Jacob was quick to help her sit up and smiled at her when she looked at him.
"You're the wolf," There was no room to argue so he nodded as he started to move away from her. He didn't get far as y/n was holding onto his hand tightly. Jacob sat down next to her as Harry, Sam and Billy began to explain everything they could about the legend and what Jacob saw. It was a lot of information for them to take in. They went to his room to talk.
"How do you feel about the imprint information?" Jacob asked after they had talked about everything else. "Do you want to stay as friends?" He hid the whine he wanted to release.
"I want to be more," y/n confessed as she looked at her hands. "I have for a while but I didn't-" Jacob cut her off. Her eyes shot open wide before closing as she relaxed into the kiss.
"I want more too, even before I knew about the imprint stuff," He spoke softly against her lips. "I'm glad my wolf chose you too." She smiled big against his lips before they joined in another kiss.
They cuddled up together enjoying their time with one another before all the questions tomorrow.
The end.

It's that time of the year where right before my exams, I get the most amazing story idea, so here it goes:
You guys have heard about how the Devil is bad because his sole purpose is to come and guide the believers to the wrong path? To make them commit sins? Like how he whispered in Eve's ear to eat the forbidden fruit?
So imagine the Devil coming down to earth for his next target to cause chaos- you!
Now usually, the devil has no problem persuading people to do wrong things but you- you're a stubborn one. A devout follower who refuses to cause anyone harm or even swear (even when you're all alone).
The devil is irritated by you, more so when he reveals his true identity and you have the nerve to chuckle and tell him that you know. You fucking knew he was the devil, and yet here you are, welcoming him into your home and offering him tea.
From there on, the devil is even more compelled to make God's favourite little believer come to the dark side. He loves a challenge after all. But eventually, the inevitable happens-
He falls in love.
And so do you. Not with him though, with another mortal.
You're so happy that you make the devil dance with you as you reveal to him how your parents have set the wedding date! And the devil... he simply cannot bare it, especially when he actually confesses to you and you still turn him down, albeit gently.
"Oh Lucifer... I'm afraid we can't. We're not supposed to be together, God wouldn't allow it!"
Oh so you think you're far too good and pure for him? That's he's far too filthy and damned for you?
In a rage, he returns to Hell and wreacks havoc upon the poor souls there, until a demon finally gathers up the courage to ask him what he should do to please their dark king.
But Lucifer doesn't say a word. Not that it mattered, because the demon who had been following his king around already knew you were the thorn in his side. And so, in an effort to please Lucifer, the demon had decided to find you.
You're the target he needs to break down.
-
A week later, Lucifer had finally cooled down a bit to go to Earth again. He'd missed you a lot, not that he would say it out loud, but be wanted to see you again.
What he didn't expect was to find you dead in your home.
He didn't believe it at first when he found you, tucked away in your bed, looking like a complete angel with your eyes closed. However, when he caressed your cheek, it alarmed him how cold your skin was. And when he pulled the covers off your body, he felt like hell froze over when he saw crimson, a dagger lying by your side.
Lucifer didn't get that you'd killed yourself, not initially. His first thought was that fiance of yours had done this, but that suspicion was dismissed when he saw your fiance come to check on you and look heartbroken at your state.
As Lucifer attended your funeral from afar, all he could focus was on who had murdered you.
And then it him. The demon.
In an instant, Lucifer had returned to Hell to find the demon, going to the lowest level where the said demon worked on punishing the worst sinners.
What he did not expect to see was the demon drowning you in hot lava, over and over again as you screamed so painfully that Lucifer actually doubted if God had indeed given him a heart.
"STOP!" Immeadiately, the entire hell came to a halt as they looked at their king. The demon bowed "My King-" but Lucifer had already threw him away as he pulled you out of the hot lava, yet you continued to scream as you were still covered in that burning liquid.
With a wave of his hand, all the lava had cleared off you and youd lost unconscious. Wrapping his cloak around you, Lucifer took you to his chambers where he laid you on his bed, using his powers to heal whatever burns and marks remained on your body. It was only then that it it him-
What are you doing here?
As glad as he was to see you, he couldn't figure out how the kindest soul he'd encountered had somehow ended up in his lair.
He left his room and called for the demon who was tormenting you, demanding an explanation.
The demon smirked. "I took care of the one who was troubling you, my King. Since she was too good to commit any sin, I just... pushed her a little until she broke down."
"What did you do?" Lucifer asked, patience evidently running thin.
"I defiled her."
What?
"I defiled her, against her will. Took her sweet little virginity and then told her how no one will want her now, not her fiance, not her family and not even God will forgive her for being a whore." The demon chuckled. "With continuous reminders of how much of a disgusting thing she is now, she finally killed herself a week later. And since taking your own life is a major sin, she ended up here, for me and my King to torment forever and ever. It's the perfect plan-" The demon never got to finish because the torture that had followed then was a sight far too horrible to describe.
By the end of it, all that was left behind were the demon's remains.
Lucifer will deal with him again when he resurrects him again to punish him for the rest of eternity.
For now, Lucifer needs to hold you again. He cant- he can't believe what you'd gone through. To end up in hell despite being a good soul was bad enough, but the reason why you had ended up there- the hell you'd already gone through on Earth- it was far worse.
He never wanted you to go through all of that. He'd rather cut off his own wings than to let anything happen to you. And yet... he couldn't help but feel a little happy that you did end up in hell. You're here now, for the rest of eternity and he'll spend all of that time picking up pieces of yourself and building you up again.
Lucifer strokes your cheek again, his head already hurting from trying to figure out how he's going to convince you that what happened to you- on earth and in hell, were not his orders. He'd never force himself on you, why would he have someone else force themselves on his object of all affections and desires.
I must remain calm. Lucifer tells himself, rubbing soothing circles to your cheek. For you, I will become worthy. I will make you happy again, Y/n. My queen✨️

Paradise Lost - Cat and Mouse Prequel Part 2
Tumblr media
Cat and Mouse Part 1 Part 3 Part 4
Summary - After your first treatment with Helion and Rhysand, the only thought on Azriel's mind is revenge.
Warnings - discussions of torture and murder, implied PTDS, reader dealing with guilt, trauma, and her self worth
A/N - our next part is going to be longer and really diving into what all happened to reader (along with a physical therapy session between her and Azriel). I wanted this to focus on Azriel more to ensure that it touched into @azrielappreciationweek and the Day 2 Prompt.
Tumblr media
The Silent Isles were exactly what their name described. Silent and surrounded by water. Azriel had been flying them for the past 2 weeks while he waited for y/n to recover from the first session with Rhys and Helion.
What Rhysand saw in her mind was enough for Azriel to realize freeing her was not enough. He wanted blood. He wanted to watch her keeper's life drain from his eyes. He wanted to hold his body until it went cold and stiff. Then, he wanted to burn that damned place to the ground.
She had not woken up since that session. Her mind was lost in a jungle of memories blurring and swirling together, all blending so deeply she couldn't find a way out. Rhys was with her constantly, walking her through those pathways until his own nose would bleed and he'd have to pull out of her mind.
Azriel pulled the hood of his cloak up higher, watching as two of the spies he had figured out were higher up in the chain moved outside. "Go," he commanded his shadows in near silence.
"So if she's not back within the month," The larger blonde male shrugged.
A red head high fae male sighed. "We kill her. They have her in the High Lord's Palace right now. We got confirmation."
Azriel froze as the message was relayed to him. "And if they move her?"
"Then we find her. Velaris isn't that hard to get into. We've been doing it for years."
Azriel didn't bother flying back home. Instea,d he collapsed on the ground, breathing heavily from the effort he used walking through his shadows to get him home as quickly as possible. Mor rushed to his side, supporting him as he stood up. "Where's Rhys?"
Mor ushered him to a chair before answering. "With y/n. She just woke up."
Conflict set in, squeezing his heart like a vice. "I have to interrogate her, Mor."
Rhys entered, as if on cue and stared towards Azriel as if he had grown a second head. "Why?"
He replayed the dream for him and Rhysand sighed, leaning against the wall. "She already told me, Az. She also told me you flying there was a waste of our time. There's no way in and no way out."
Dead silence fell over the room. "How?"
"Because the building isn't actually there, Az. It's everywhere. It's already in Velaris, in Spring, in Rusk. She described it as a connection of gates, not a true place. She isn't even sure where they're truly at when they're there."
Rhysand moved, watching the faelights of his court. "If one of us were to try to enter it, it could drop us Mother knows where. She's jumped to different worlds, Azriel. Different timelines. This isn't some bullshit organization of kidnapped kids. This is an incredibly powerful being taking other powerful beings and turning them into cold blooded killers."
Mor sat slowly, drinking her full glass of wine and refilling it, hee eyes wide as she processed. "So she's a key, but if we send her in-"
"They will kill her on the spot by blocking her ability to leave." Rhys said calmly. "All we can do is break the gate between Velaris, our allies, and them, but even then-"
"They can use magic to switch their faces, their scents, and they know their victims stories due to targeting the low class, alone, and lesser fae for their faces," Azriel said. "So destroying the connection won't stop them from entering because they already have faces that the shield knows and will allow in."
All Rhys could do was nod. "We moved her back to the House of Wind. Helion traded me silence in exchange for something I can't discuss," Rhysand examined the sun bargain mark adorning his left inner ankle again. "Until we know she's safe, she does not leave there unless one of us is with her."
Azriel nodded. "Can I see her?"
"If you'd like to."
Cassian walked him silently to the room Rhysand had moved her to. She no longer had a balcony. Only windows that were damn near impenetrable. Her door was now warded and shielded, appearing to just be part of the wall. Not even her bathroom had floor to ceiling windows allowing her a view of the mountains or city below.
"Good luck," Cassian said softly. "Approach slowly."
Y/n was sat on her bed, dark hair a curly mess as if it had not been brushed and was constantly being tugged and played with. Her eyes had dark bags under them, which was almost comical for how long she has been unconscious. She was rocking back and forth, her knees tucked to her chest and picking at her nails.
If Azriel had not known better, he would have assumed his mate was coming down from a high provided by some street potion sold in a dark alley.
"Hellcat," he moved to her slowly taking a seat with him and sitting across from her. "Y/n, what's wrong? Talk to me."
He poured love and comfort down the bond to her, watched as she slowed her movements down and accepted it. "I've hurt so many people." Her guilt hit him like an arrow, striking deep in his own heart. "I never want to hurt anyone ever again."
Azriel moved to sit besides her, pulling her into his chest and holding her. "You were forced to do those things, y/n. That doesn't define who you are, what we do once you're free of them does. You've already told Rhys about a huge security risk to our home, you came here willingly when the bond snapped, you've confessed to every assassination you've taken part in."
"But what if that's not enough, Azriel? What if I can never do enough to erase this part of my history that affected thousands of families and sometimes whole kingdoms? What if I simply am not enough?"
The question stung, bringing tears to Azriel's eyes as he forced her to look at him. "I torture fae for a living, little hellcat. I have killed countless people on Rhysand's orders, on his father's orders before him, and simply because they were blocking my way to a target."
Azriel took a deep breath before continuing. "I've ordered executions just based on the world and trust of my spies. I've killed king's guards, royals, lesser and greater fae. Trust me, I can empathize with your feelings, my love. I understand them better than anyone here, and that's why I need you to understand you are worthy. You are enough. You are good."
He forced her head towards his again, kissing her forehead softly. "You did not do those things by choice, y/n. Just remember that." Azriel pulled her close again, burying her head into his neck.
He gave zero fucks in that moment what Rhys had said regarding the Silent Isles and the spy network building. He was going to find them, he was going to skin them alive, and he was going to let you watch or bring you their heads one by one until every single last fae who made you feel this way was no more than a speck of dirt under his boot.
After two more weeks fighting off darkness, you sighed heavily as Helion and Rhys sat across from you. "Are you sure you're ready?" The Day Lord spoke smoothly, "It's only been a month."
You nodded. "I want to get it over with."
"Then let's begin."

The Taming of the Crow Pairing: Koner x You Summary: A lady of the Free Folk spots a scared little crow on a snowy mountaintop… of course she's bringing him home. Contains: A wildling with a gift, a crow who's ready for the cold embrace of death, switching POVs, unexpected (and misinterpreted) kindness, being tied up but not in a sexy way, possessiveness, brat-taming, whipping, teasing, sickness, nursing back to health, miracle cure, accidental cuddling, dreams about dead men with blue eyes, comfort, happy endings for both the Koner and the story itself. Words: 9k [Part One: 4k / Part Two: 5k] Do Not Interact, youths and ageless blogs, or you will be blocked.
Tumblr media
"Look what we caught."
Koner was thrown to the ground, hands bound in front him, with no time to brace himself. The snow hit his face like a fist. When one of the wildlings gripped him by the hair and hauled him to his knees, he could see the blood his eyebrow left behind on the snow. It continued flowing down his face, causing him to squint his eye. He couldn't see much anyway; just the silhouettes of a handful of wildlings against the setting sun, which glared in his good eye.
"Been a while since we had crow for supper."
"You couldn't have caught a fatter one?"
He'd heard stories about wildlings boiling men of the Night's Watch alive. Would they drag him back to their village for a pot big enough? Or would they all crowd around his body and start gnawing at him raw? Koner wished he'd died with the rest of his brothers. He wished he hadn't been assigned to the search party to bring back the missing rangers. He wished he'd never joined the Night's Watch. He wished he'd never fucking been born at all.
"The others died fighting. This is all that was left."
Perhaps if he shifted his weight next time they dropped him, he could hit his head hard enough to knock himself out. Would the feeling of wildling teeth ripping into his flesh wake him up? He hoped not.
"He'll only slow us down. Kill him, burn him, be done with it."
At least it would be quick. Koner closed his eyes and felt tears of relief escape. They froze halfway down his cheeks. A hand grabbed his hair and yanked it back, exposing his throat. He squeezed his eyes shut and waited for the cold, sharp edge of the blade to end him.
"Wait."
Koner felt his heart stop. Were they going to torture him after all?
Snow crunched in front of him, and a gloved hand touched his face. The fist that had tried to rip his hair from the roots released him. Koner dared to take a peek, and was met by the greenest eyes he'd ever seen. A woman. A wildling woman, staring at him so hard, he could feel his insides squirm.
"I've seen this one before… but he wasn't dressed as a crow."
Tumblr media
"Oh, for fuck's sake."
"You let one spearwife bring home a baby crow, now they all fucking want one."
You stared into the teary eyes of the boy cowering before you, and your mind was made. This was the one. Another tear spilled, and you gently wiped it away with your glove before it could freeze. You couldn't take your eyes off of him.
"Come on," someone groaned from behind you. "We were supposed to be back by nightfall."
"He's coming with us," you stated.
"The fuck he is."
"What's Norryn going to say when he finds out I recognized someone and you refused to bring him back?" You turned and stood boot-to-boot with Skag, fixing him with your best glower. He rolled his eyes and turned back to the crow.
"Get up!" Skag ordered, jerking your little crow backward by the collar of his cloak. He lost his balance and fell back against his captor's legs. Skag stepped back and kicked the little crow's shoulder. The boy fell forward again and did his best to curl into a ball.
"Stop."
Skag delivered another kick to the crow's back, and he yelped. You stepped between them, eyes blazing.
"He's mine," you growled.
"Then you're responsible for getting him back. Here," he smirked, handing you the rope. "Good luck."
You took the rope, and the party began gathering the weapons they'd taken from the band of crows that were still burning on the other side of the mountain. You kneeled next to the boy and placed a hand on his arm.
"Come on, Little Crow," you said quietly, so only he could hear. "Stay close to me, and you'll be alright." He looked up at you with wet eyes and a quivering lip. You gave him a gentle smile, and reached down to help him stand.
"Don't try to run," you muttered as you straightened and brushed the snow off the collar of his black cloak. "If you try to run, I can't help you." He sniffled, and you took that as an agreement.
"Go on," you prodded. He began clomping through the snow after the rest of your party. Had this boy ever even seen the snow before? You followed behind with a smile he couldn't see, thinking about all the things you'd have to teach him.
You didn't generally get out much, but a strange dream had led you and a small guard to visit a nearby clan who'd just acquired a new chieftain. You could see faces, but you didn't know names. Sometimes you had to connect the two in the daytime, to make understanding and explaining your dreams a bit easier.
You weren't a greenseer; who knows when the last of those died out. You hadn't been gifted with the power to warg into creatures, which was a shame. No, your only skill was dreaming. Sometimes you dreamed of things that hadn't happened yet. People in positions of power liked to know these things. And so you were kept nearby, in a tent of your own, left alone to dream. You had special tea to lull you into unconsciousness when the time came, and spent the rest of your time fletching arrows or braiding ropes. It was an easy life, though not an exceptionally fulfilling one. And a bit lonely, to be honest. People generally found you odd and tried to maintain their distance.
Free Folk with wary eyes cleared a path when they saw you enter the village. You picked up the slack in the rope binding your crow as you approached them.
"They're taking us to our chieftain," you said quietly to his back. "He decides if you live or die. Behave, Little Crow, and you might live to see another day."
He didn't respond. Can he talk? You wondered what his voice would sound like when you finally pried a word from him.
A gang of children surrounded you on the way to the chieftan's hut, taunting the man in black and throwing snowballs. He tried to duck his head, but there wasn't much he could do to shield himself with his hands bound.
"Get lost, you little whelps," you snapped, pushing the closest one. He lost his balance and fell over, landing on his rump in the snow. The child stuck his tongue out at you, and you returned the gesture.
One by one, the warriors ahead of you disappeared into the large hut at the center of the village.
"Best behavior, Little Crow," you reminded him.
Tumblr media
It took a moment for Koner's eyes to adjust when he stepped inside the structure. It was dark, with a fire in the center. The wildlings he'd followed in formed a circle around the flames, along with a man he hadn't seen before. This must be the chieftain.
"Here," one of the men said to the woman behind him, holding out a hand. She gave the rope to him and stepped around Koner, eyes on the man by the fire. She walked to him and spoke in a hushed tone, looking back at Koner occasionally.
The chieftain stared at Koner with blue eyes that pierced like knives. He couldn't hold the man's gaze; his eyes dropped to the floor instead. He listened hard, but couldn't make out anything they were saying. Eventually, he heard the wildlings stir, and most of the raiding party headed out. He stared at the floor as they passed.
When he looked up, only the girl, the chieftain, his capturer, and one other man were left. They were all glancing at him and speaking lowly. Was he back to being dinner? The girl laughed. Had she stolen his quick death from him so that she might bring him home to become a meal for the chief? A sacrifice to whatever heathen god they prayed to? Or perhaps a slave?
He wasn't close to the fire, but being inside and away from the whipping wind certainly reinvigorated him. It was the warmest he'd been in days. When the wildlings attacked, he'd been so cold, he couldn't feel his hands or his feet. He'd tried to fight back, but his hands simply wouldn't work. Grasping a sword was hard enough through thick gloves, but with frozen hands? He was useless. And his brothers died knowing it.
As the feeling returned to his extremities, a fire began burning in his belly. He may be bound, but he can give these fuckers a little hell before they kill him. He's not going to let them eat him, or mutilate him, or turn him into slave. Not without a fight.
Tumblr media
"You can keep the little crow. But he stays bound until he proves trustworthy."
"Thank you," you grinned. You knew he'd listen. You wanted to point and laugh in Skag's stupid face, but you knew better. You returned to your crow, pleased to see a little color in his face now.
You reached for the rope… and the little fucker headbutted you.
He was stronger than he looked.
It knocked you onto your arse. You clutched your bleeding nose and looked up at him in shock. Is this the same Little Crow whose tears you'd wiped away just a few hours ago?
Skag was on him in an instant, knife to his throat.
"Don't!" you yelled. "He's just afraid, let him alone!"
Norryn and Dradir, your uncle, flanked you as you rose from the floor. The boy breathed heavily, knife still at his throat. His eyes were wild, like an animal that knows it's been cornered.
"Let him go," you urged.
"Can't trust a fucking crow. Let me put an end to this now, Norryn."
You looked to the chieftain with pleading eyes. He sighed.
"Doing it now will save you a lot of headache, girl. And heartache, too."
You shook your head.
"Alright," he exhaled. "But he stays bound. And you're staying close." You nod. Norryn walked toward the door, then turned to look at the crow again before stepping through it. "Skag, strip him and tie him so he can't run."
Skag grinned a wicked grin, revealing his jagged teeth, and began cutting the crow's clothes away.
"I'll do it," you offered, stepping forward. Your uncle grabbed your arm and spun you around to face him.
"Crows are like dogs. If you don't train them right, show them who's the master, they'll walk all over you."
You glared up at him.
"He needs to be punished for this."
You bristled.
"Are you going to do it, or am I going to do it?"
"I'll do it," you said through gritted teeth.
"Are you going to do it, or are you just saying you're going to do it?"
"I'll fucking do it!"
"You better. Skag, get him to her tent." Dradir followed Norryn, leaving you alone with a grinning Skag and a blushing crow with everything on display.
Tumblr media
Koner had been so stunned by the pain of headbutting another person's incredibly thick skull, he barely registered that he was being stripped. His was naked and shivering by the time the fog in his head began to clear.
The girl had a trail of blood from her nose to her chin. It wasn't his fault she was the first to approach. He'd hoped it would be the fucker who kept kicking him on the mountain. He did what he had to do. And he was still seeing stars from it.
The ugly bastard jerked the rope holding his hands and dragged him outside. This is the way, then? They're going to hang him up outside and let the cold take him? He'd heard freezing to death wasn't such a bad way to go. Some said it was like falling asleep. But how would they know, if they were alive to tell the tale?
The cold on his naked body was too much to bear. Surely the frostbite was setting in already. Even if they didn't kill him soon, he'd turn black and fall off bit by bit.
Koner was dragged into a nearby tent. The fire was almost out. He couldn't see anything else in the dim light. Skag pulled him to a pole at the center of the shelter, hoisted his hands, and tied them above his head. Koner was shivering too hard to put up a fight, or even kick as Skag tied his feet together.
He could see the girl kneeling by the fire out of the corner of his eye. She poked at it, and the flames appeared again. He wished he could go lie in it. She stood and faced him, crossing her arms and frowning.
"Get out," she snapped at the smirking wildling with the jagged teeth.
Tumblr media
Skag had dragged your poor little crow through the snow, naked as the day he was born. A person could freeze out here in minutes, but as your tent was situated just a few seconds away, you thought the boy could make it. Not that there was an alternative. You felt guilty for bringing him here. For making him tremble like that. For what you had to do next.
"You want me to do it?" Skag smirked. He'd tear him to shreds.
"He's mine. Get out."
Skag laughed and left. You knelt by the fire for a moment, watching your crow shiver. You'd at least let him warm up first.
When his body began to still, you left your place by the fire and went to him. You stood on the other side of the pole so you could look into his eyes.
"Why did you do that, Little Crow?"
He glared.
"Can't you see that I'm trying to help you?"
Nothing.
"Can you speak, Little Crow?"
He turned his head away from you.
You sighed, stomped toward your bed, and began undressing. You don't need all these furs in here with that fire blazing. Once you'd shed a few layers, you eyed the long strip of leather that loops around your coat to hold it closed. You ran your fingers over the smooth surface, picked it up, and returned to your crow.
"I had no intention of hurting you, Little Crow. But you've been bad and embarrassed us both, so now I have to." He still wouldn't look at you. You stepped to his side. "Stay still. It'll be over soon."
You raised the strap and brought it down on his rear. He jumped as the leather cracked against his flesh, but didn't cry out. He kept his head down, facing away from you. You swung again, lower this time, and he reacted the same.
You painted beautiful red stripes across your crow's backside - careful not to break his pretty pale skin - from his shoulders to his knees. He never made a sound. He was much tougher than he looked; you were quite proud of him. Finally, you dropped your strap to the floor and stepped toward him.
"Do you understand why I had to punish you, Little Crow?" you asked. He shifted his weight between his bound feet, but didn't respond. You stepped in front of him… and then you understood.
His hardened cock was dripping on the floor.
"You weren't supposed to enjoy your punishment, you filthy Little Crow," you teased. "Look at me." He didn't. "Look at me," you repeated, a little louder.
He finally did. His eyes were big and full of fear again, just like they were when you first found him. You glanced downward. "You like it when a woman takes charge, Little Crow?" His cock twitched. "I think you do," you said in a mocking tone, meeting his eye again and feeling quite wicked.
You reached down and touched a single finger to the base of his cock. He whimpered. With a smirk, you lightly trailed your fingertip up the underside of his shaft, barely even grazing him. When you reached the tip, he exploded with a moan. It was the most beautiful sound you'd ever heard.
You'd never seen that much seed spill out of one man before. You stood there and watched in awe. All that? From a single touch? How hard could you make him cum if you'd really tried?
When his choked moans turned to shallow pants, you decided to play with him a little more.
"Did you enjoy that, Little Crow?" you asked slyly.
He looked up at you… and burst into tears.
It was then that Dradir decided to check on you.
"HA! She actually did it! He's blubbering like a baby! Didn't think you had it in you, girl!" You stepped to the fire, picked up the wooden cup you used for tea, and hurled it at him. He blocked it with a forearm and it clattered to the floor. He exited quickly, and you could hear him cackling as he left. You returned to your crow, still crying and trying to hide his face.
"Talk to me, Little Crow," you said hurriedly, "tell me what's wrong."
He shook his head and continued sobbing. His arms were still tied above him; his head rested between them. You couldn't see his face unless you knelt in front of him.
"If I let you down, are you going to behave?"
He lifted his head enough to nod.
You reached up and fumbled with the rope, until eventually it fell. His hands, still bound in front of him, came to cover his parts.
"Sit down, Little Crow, you're alright."
He sank to his knees and leaned his shoulder against the pole he had been tied to, still sobbing. His face was so red, it looked ready to bleed. You sat across from him, puzzled and a little afraid.
Eventually, his sobs turned to sniffles.
When you sensed that he'd calmed down, you tried again.
"Are you alright?"
He mumbled something that you couldn't quite make out.
"Speak up, Little Crow."
"Are you going to eat me?"
You barked out a laugh, and he flinched.
"I don't much care for crow," you teased. Surely he's not serious? He tilted his head downward and glanced up at you with his big brown eyes. Yes, he's serious.
"We don't eat people here, Little Crow," you told him gently. "Thenns do that. And I fucking hate Thenns."
"Then what are you going to do with me?" he asked meekly, glancing up for half a second before averting his eyes again.
"What do you want me to do with you?"
He shrugged.
"I think for tonight… I might feed you and put you to bed."
He looked up in confusion.
"What did you expect, Little Crow?"
He swallowed and looked at the floor.
"Do you remember what I told you on the mountain, Little Crow?" He blinked. "I told you to stay close to me, and you'd be alright."
"Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why are you protecting me?"
"I saw you in a dream."
He lifted his head and looked up at you, finally.
"I'm a dreamer, Little Crow. Sometimes I see things in my dreams that haven't happened yet."
"And you saw me?"
You nodded.
"What does it mean?"
"I don't know yet, in the grand scheme of things. But for us? It means you're mine. And if anyone dares to lay a hand on you, I'll cut it off."
You stared at each other for a moment, and then someone else walked into your tent.
"Sorry I'm late," Lendis said, "hunting party had a--oh." Her eyes lingered on the striped back of a naked crow, who tried to shrink himself into nothingness.
"You can just leave it by the door, Lendis, thank you," you smiled, spotting the tray in her hands. She looked from you, to him, and then smirked and did as she was told.
"Have a good night!" she teased on her way out.
"Don't mind her," you said gently, rising off the floor. "She's a little strange, but she's not a bad person." You picked up the small tray of meat and took it to the fire. "Guess that's probably what they say about me, too."
You picked up a sharp stick from beside the fire, speared the meat, and began roasting it.
"Do you need help getting up?"
He shook his head.
"Come on then, there's enough for both of us."
He struggled, but managed to get up and join you by the fire. The rope around his ankles forced him to take small steps, but he could still move. He sat on his knees again, and you tried not to smile as he attempted to cover himself. You offered him the first piece of cooked meat, and he looked at it warily.
"Just deer, Little Crow. I told you, we're not people-eaters."
Still, he hesitated.
"Would you like me to feed you?"
It was a genuine offer, but he held his tied hands out to take the food. He sniffed it and took a small bite… and then a much larger one.
"How long has it been since you've eaten, Little Crow?"
"Two days," he mumbled through a mouthful.
"Take it easy, wouldn't want to shock your system." Surprisingly, he listened to you this time, and began chewing a little slower. You smiled to yourself and stuck another piece of meat on the fire.
After you'd both eaten, he yawned. It was absolutely adorable.
"Come on, Little Crow. I'm afraid I'm going to have to keep you tied for the time being, but that's no reason to let you freeze."
You got up and walked toward the pile of furs you call a bed, got in, and held the blanket up as a gesture for him to join you.
He shook his head.
"It gets colder in here as the night goes on. Come on. I won't touch you if you don't want me to."
He shook his head again, and laid on his side by the fire, with his back facing you. The stripes had faded, but you imagined he was still quite tender.
"Alright, Little Crow, be stubborn about it. Don't even think about going anywhere. You're still naked, and there's a guard posted outside. You won't make it three steps."
You pulled the covers over yourself and closed your eyes… almost all the way. You wanted to watch him for a while.

Moving down the hallway with my gun raised I had Kayce at my side. We were both assigned to the same mission. But what I saw in front of me would haunt me for the rest of my life. I froze not being able to pull the trigger and hurt the mother and daughter that were being held hostage by their own husband/father. "Kayce-" I cut myself short because hr pulled his trigger making them collapse dead burning the image into my memory.
Shooting upright in my bed I screamed grabbing the bedsheets in my fingers. Throwing my hair in front of my face my chest tightened during that time. Bending my head down in between my fingers I gasped. Fumbling for my phone on the nightstand I dialed the only person who would understand. "Kayce, I...I can't sleep."
"Neither can I, darling. Do you uh - want me to come over?" He croaked through the phone where I could tell he was crying.
The words flew out of my mouth. "Yes, please. I need you."
"I'm on my way then." He hung up the phone where I laid my phone down tossing the covers away. Sliding out of the bed I shrugged on one of my sweatshirts heading towards my front porch. Closing the front door I knew Kayce didn’t live very far from my place so I could just sit out and wait.
Kayce and I had joined the navy together. He went in to get money to feed his wife and son. But I wanted to fight for my country more than anything. Yet once we came home after that mission I didn’t realize that I had never been that rattled in my life. Leaning back in my swing I finally saw his truck pull into the driveway. “Y/n!” He called my name, shutting the door running up the stairs.
Flinging my arms around his neck I started sobbing into his light brown jacket. He wrapped his arms tightly around my waist. "I didn't know who else to call!"
"Hey, hey, I said you could always call me. But it's cold out, let's get you inside." He broke the hug barely to just open the door leading me to the living room couch.
He went into the kitchen while I sat down on the couch. Wrapping the blanket around myself tightly I hugged my legs up to my chest. "I just hate waking up like this. I have to…relive it all over again."
"Do you want to talk about it?" Kayce came from the kitchen handing me a cup of warm milk.
He sat down across from me on the couch holding his own cup in his hands. "I'm not sure it would make me feel better. Does it you?"
"I don't really talk about it with anyone but you." He slumped his shoulders heavily.
This wasn't the first time that I had woken up like this. Kayce and I had done this same night for almost two years now. No matter how much our family's tried to help. They still couldn't understand the torture we dealt with. "Hmm…everytime the nightmare replays in my head. I…I lock onto the eight year old girl's eyes. She just looked so helpless…"
“I see their bodies collapse right in front of you. And I think what if I hadn’t done it-“ Kayce trailed off, beginning to cry wiping tears away with his jacket sleeve.
Reaching across I grabbed his freehand in mine where we met the others' gaze. “Kayce, don’t go there. We didn’t have a choice. They….they would have killed us.”
“But they killed our medic and captain. Either way I failed them. Now…I have to live with that.” He bent his head down sitting his cup on the table stomping over to stand in front of the window.
Sitting my cup down I sighed walking up behind him. “Kayce, the only way you and I can get through this is together.”
He clutched his hands into fists at his sides. He bent his head down croaking through tears. “It torture’s me, Y/n. It puts me in this type of darkness and I don’t feel like I can escape it.”
“Kayce, look at me.” I cupped his face in my hands making him look at me with those brown eyes. He sniffs alongside me when I almost couldn’t get the words out. “You aren’t alone in your nightmares. I feel everything you do….And I will always be there to help you through this…”
He collapsed against me where I grunted, leading him back onto the couch since I wasn’t as strong as he was. He death gripped my shirt in his hands sobbing. “Thank you, Y/n…I don’t know what I would do without you.”
“You’ll never have to think about this alone. War may have followed us home…” I buried my face against his chest needing comfort from the cowboy too. Running my fingers through his hair he sighed in relief finding comfort from it. “But it won’t break us as long as we are there for one another.”

Unattended Prey - Part II/II

Part I
I was leaving the house to enjoy a book by the lake when I saw him standing still in the middle of the open field in front of the house. I opened a smile when I saw him and walked towards him; he tilted his head to the left, studying me as I covered the distance between us.
"It's been three days since I last saw you. Thought you've abandoned me". I was very close to him.
"Why don't you fear me?", he asked, observing my face.
"Why should I?", I smiled back at him.
I had a lot of reasons to fear him. He looked dangerous and he sounded ever worse. But that time when he touched me and couldn't keep it going showed me that I was something that he feared too. And maybe in a way that he couldn't even understand.
He didn't answer my question.
"I'll stay by the lake, would you like to join me?", I offered him my hand and he took it after a brief consideration.
We walked to the lake holding hands while I could feel his eyes burning the side of my face. I opened on the floor the same towel that I used to lay on, that now would fulfill its purpose to accommodate two adults, and sat, inviting him to sit next to me - and so he did.
He was curious about me.
"Who are you?" I didn't have time to be running around lame questions.
He stared. He stared a lot, to be fair.
"I'm not sure", he finally answered.
"What do you mean?". I felt sad with his choice of words.
"One day I woke up like this", he pointed to his face.
"Like what?". He looked perfectly normal to me.
He didn't answer me again. He was not staring at me anymore.
"Do you have a name?", I try to pick his eyes with my own.
"I used to, but I can't remember". He was uncomfortable.
"I'll call you my friend until you find a name you feel comfortable with, ok?". I was smiling when he lifted his head to look at me, his eyes traveling from my lips to my eyes.
I stared at the lake and its golden glow for a while. I was reuniting the necessary courage to make the two questions that would probably change the way that encounter was going so far. As I was about to ruin my own luck, he interrupted my thoughts.
"Why did you say people call you a freak?".
I gave the lake a sad smile and turned to him, crossing my legs in front of him so I could face him better.
"Me and my parents used to perform rituals - you caught me in the middle of one, that night - and of course the whole town knew that and speculated a lot about it. We always lived here in the woods, ate what we planted, hunted little animals, slept under the stars; we were always the eccentric ones, the witchcraft ones, the…" I interrupted myself, an invisible hand in my throat.
"Where are your parents now?", he asked.
"Dead. Both of them". I played with the laces of my dress. "And lots of people in town think I'm the one who killed them".
He stiffed his posture, but not like he was afraid of me, but almost like he was proud.
"Did you?", he asked in a whisper.
"No". I closed my eyes, remembering the events of that evening. "They killed each other. They both drowned in this lake, out of love and rage and desperation".
"What happened?". It seemed that he wanted to touch me, but he changed his mind and I sighed heavier.
"My dad had an affair. I never understood why, because I really thought about them as a happy couple; we were a happy family - a weird one, but very happy. They were very passionate and well… My mother found out, they had a massive argument, she jumped in the lake and drowned - she couldn't swim. He didn't know what to do, kept repeating that all of that was his fault, so he cut his wrist and bled in the lake next to her body until lost strength and drowned as well. I froze and couldn't save them. It took me 2 hours to be able to move and call the police, so of course they thought it was me. They still do".
"I'm sorry", he said after a long period of silence.
"Thank you. But it was their decision to live and die together. Leaving me". I had to face down, forcing a tear to stay in place.
"How long has it been?". He was reaching his hand again, not knowing what to do with it.
"Thirteen years this summer". I faced him and the tear flowed down my cheek. He reached for it, feeling the wetness in his fingers as I observed his movements.
I approached him and he gasped.
"Did you kill Keef?".
"Yes".
"Why?".
No answer. He just went to the reminiscent teardrop on my lashes.
I had been cooking something inside my mind because of something he said, about being ugly behind the mask - and the fact that it only covered his mouth.
"Did you eat him?" I asked, looking at his wet fingers, following his eyes as he turned his gaze to face me.
"Yes".
For some problematic reason, that didn't bother me. But I was still in doubt.
"Was he your friend?", he asked me, but with a slight smile in his eyes that he tried his best to hide.
"No, I don't have friends", and I didn't care. "Can I see behind your mask?". He was so confused. I didn't back off, I wasn't running for my life. I was asking to see the whole face of a potential serial killer.
He reached the back of his head to unbuckle the mask. I uncrossed my legs and put them beside his body, spread them open in front of him so he wouldn't go anywhere. He stopped to see what I was doing before continuing to take the mask off.
His face was beautiful. His lips were reddish and full, his nose was delicate and he took a deep breath once the mask was off; he had the sharpest jawline I've ever seen. I couldn't see a reason for it to be hidden.
I move closer to him, my thighs now touching him.
"And what's the problem?", I asked. He wanted to put the mask back to answer me, I held his hands and brought them to my chest and held them there with one hand. "Can I touch your face?", I begged.
He closed his eyes and nodded yes. I lifted my hand and placed a warm palm on his face, which he forced himself against it. I let go of his hands on my chest to touch his hair, tugging it behind his ear and caressing his neck. He put his hands on my waist and slid me over to him, allowing me to feel him across my open legs. He was losing himself in his breath, skin filled with goosebumps, eyes still closed. No one ever reacted to my touch like that.
He leaned over me and hid on my neck, holding me by my back.
"Please don't run".
He came back to his initial position and showed me his teeth; opened his eyes to see my reaction but I didn't have one. His teeth were sharp and fang-like shaped, a bit bigger than regular human teeth, white and scary. That thing could easily reap and split flesh, even chew on bones if he was into it.
I touched it.
He had an orgasm.
"Oh fuck! Shit! Fuck! I'm sorry" he apologized, ashamed of what had just happened.
"Don't…". He was trying to move away from me. I held him with my legs and fixed his face on mine with my hands. "That's ok".
Abandoning all my senses, I kissed him. His lips were soft and his breath reminded me of rosemary. My favourite herb.
I wasn't sure how to deal with the sharp teeth, so I decided to stop. But what I really wanted to do was dive in his body, feel his tongue.
"Why did you kiss me?" he asked while I studied his face.
"Because I wanted to. Hope that's ok to you". That question was a very odd one, but hey! We were not the most vanilla people in town, so…
"Can we do it again?", he asked in a coy voice.
"We can". I approached him. "Be gentle with your teeth, ok?". I shouldn't have said that.
"Don't mock me", his eyes darkened. Somehow, he didn't scare me.
I smile at him. I knew very well how it was to feel being mocked, teased, picked at. And I wasn't doing any of this with him.
"I won't do this to you. I just want to be aware of our limits". I offered him a kind voice and a warm touch on his face. I brought my mouth to his and rubbed our lips together. I licked his bottom lip and made my way through his mouth, searching for his tongue. He was moaning inside my mouth everytime our tongues lick each other and he was having a full erection again.
I bent my legs and stood over him, sitting on his lap, my knees now touching the not so soft fabric of the towel. I was moving my body in a way that was new even for me. Was he able to provide me what I was long craving for?
I touched him and he arched, almost in pain, and he pushed me away. It was the second time he rejected me.
"But why?" I whined.
"I-" he put his hands on his face.
"You don't want me?". I was playing a dangerous game by now.
He looked at me and then looked away.
"I- I have never been with a woman before" he confessed.
I didn't know what to say. I wasn't surprised, but it was not a difficult thing to arrange. What if he was lying? Guys do that…
"Are you lying to me so I can pity you?".
"Do you really think anyone ever wanted to be with me?". The dark eyes were back again. "To be honest, I don't understand why you are here with me". He put himself up and started to move to leave.
"Stop!". He was exhausting me with this behavior. "You can't try to leave every time you think I'm going to hurt you somehow. You're not even giving me the chance to show you who I am!". I could tell he was not used to people telling him what to do or speaking with him in a firm tone. "I'm just expressing myself. My needs. My wants. My fears. This is how a friendship works".
I stood in front of him as he struggled to find the words to fight me back. I hugged him. Pressing his body against mine, even if he wasn't hugging me back in the beginning. He was alone and scared and so was I, we could help each other feel less miserable. As I was ready to let go of that lonely embrace, he hugged me back; hands on the lower of my back, face in my hair and we stood there for a while with the sun kissing our skin.
I didn't wanna let go of that hug; it felt so comfortable and safe, like he was the one I've been waiting for. I took a step back and watched him, he gave me a little smile, teeth not showing. I think it was the first time I saw his lips curled like that. My heart pumped a little too hard.
"Come, let's go inside", I invited him. We grabbed our belongings and made our way back to the house, hands in hands, in complete silence.
I went directly to the kitchen and picked an apple, offered him one but he refused it. I was watching him by the sink while he awkwardly stood in the middle of the living room.
"Are you human?". I asked after going for a bite in the fruit.
He stared at me from across the room.
"I'm not sure", he sustained my eyes, hoping I was dropping it, but I didn't, so he continued. "The last memory I have is being cut open in front of a fire pit. And I think I was a child, I'm not sure. Since that day, I need to- I have special needs".
"What do you mean by that?". I started to cover the distance between us. It amused me the way he looked at me, always following my eyes, watching every movement I made. I was in front of him now.
"I need to feed on flesh and blood". He took a step in my direction, grabbing my arm and squeezing my soft skin in his fingers.
"Like a vampire?". I laughed, because it was a stupid question.
"No, like a predator". He licked his lips with a straight face, tightening his grip on my arms.
I was enjoying that way too much.
"Are you hungry now?" I asked, abusing my own luck doing this question pressing my lips on his.
He kissed me back with passion, his tongue fighting mine as he gently put his teeth out of the way. My hands found his torso and I could feel a fine scar crossing his chest; I drew a line over it with my finger and he shivered, bumping my pelvis on his.
I wanted him.
I stopped kissing him and touched him while looking deep into his eyes. He was hard and big. I bit my lip imagining how it'd look like.
"Do you wanna stay with me?" I asked, hoping the answer would be…
"Yes", he said with his eyes closed. "Please".
I took his hand again and walked us to my room in the back of the house. The sun was bathing the floor next to the mattress, sending a lovely pattern through the room because of the old windows and curtains. The tiny crystals on the dashboard dancing rainbow shadows in the ceiling; the smell of my potpourri of dry flowers and cinnamon sticks flooding the air with its sweetness. I could feel the wetness of my underwear as we stopped in front of the mattress on the floor.
"Guide me", he begged me, his eyes full of lust such as my own.
"You don't hurt me. You don't bite me. If you want something, you ask for it. If I want something, I'll ask for it, too. Is it ok?" He nodded, swallowing his saliva. "You can touch me everywhere, you can kiss me everywhere. Can I touch you, too?". He nodded again, he was out of words.
I took his cardigan off and kissed him, noticing he didn't exactly know what to do with his hands. I placed his hands on both sides of my dress and made him take it off and then placed his hand on my breasts, forcing him to massage them. I licked his thumb and he circled it in my hard nipples. He was gasping just as I was, that felt so good.
I went to his jeans, but changed my mind and took off my underwear first. I was completely naked for him. I put a finger inside of me and gave it to him to lick it. When he felt my taste, he lost it. He sucked on my finger and almost tore it off.
"Easy. There's more for you". I was barely holding myself together.
I took his pants off and he was not wearing any underwear. His cock was bigger than I imagined, wider than I could ask for and harder than a bone. I weep a little as conducting him to sit on the mattress.
I stayed on top, thinking that would be good for a first time and that I could have some kind of control. He laid down and I opened my legs over him, descending my body to receive his own.
He moaned so loud when I accommodated him inside my walls that for a second I thought he had finished, but I knew he was still with me when I danced in his lap and was able to feel him deep in my cervix.
He was what I always craved for.
I danced, I bounced, I watched him in and out of me. I kissed him, I scratched his skin and I clenched him with my insides when a river ran from me. The sweat was dripping from my neck and my head was spinning with pleasure, but as far as I could tell, he wasn't over.
He didn't stop looking at me, not even for a second. His eyes were glowing, hands traveling my thighs, belly and waist. But his eyes glued on my face.
"You can go on top of me; here, don't even have to pull out". I pulled him to me and rotated our bodies over my knee; now I was laying down and he was on top of me and it felt amazing.
But he just stayed there.
"Move your hips in and out of me- but not all the way out- oh fuck- yeah, just like that". He quickly found a pace and went with it, going so deep in me that I screamed my second orgasm, synchronized with his own. He was loud, guttural and savage - and I was over the moon.
He instinctively kissed me after the sex; it was such a loving kiss that warmed my heart. I placed his head on my chest and lullaby him to the beats of my heart while I leaked both of us. We slept in that position for at least two hours.
"Have you tried raw meat?", I asked when preparing my lunch. He observed me with sad eyes.
"Yes. It tastes like rotten and decomposed flesh, it's disgusting". He was twisting a piece of fabric of my dress in his fingers and couldn't look at me.
"What about animals? There's still the hunting adrenaline involved", and then I was talking about my own experience. It always felt good after hunting for my rituals.
He went silent. His shoulders curving down in desperation while he tried so hard to put together the right words to express what he was feeling.
"Do humans taste better?", I asked and tried my best to not make a big deal out of that. He was built differently and, for what he told me, that kind of life was not a life he chose to pursue.
I felt sorry for him when he nodded and crossed his arms in his chest, with eyes fixed on the vegetables and fruits I was cutting.
"Do you wanna try it?, I pointed to the food.
"It hurts my insides, but… but when you ate the apple I could taste the sweet in your lips, so if- uhn, if I could, I'd like to do that again", he blushed a little.
For a predator, he was kind of cute.
We sat on the porch and kissed after every bit I gave on the food so he could taste it. He didn't like very much of the salty flavors, he despised the vinegar, but when I ate the fruits he almost didn't let me finish it.
I applied a strawberry on my lips like lipstick and he licked it. His body trembled with its sweetness and he kissed me after I swallowed the fruit; his hands were on the inner side of my thigh before I could notice it. I took his hand, putting one of his fingers aside and put it inside me. I was moving his hand so he could understand what to do.
"You can put another finger in, but always be gentle", I whispered. And he did, observing my pleasure face. I laid back on the porch and let him satisfy me. I was very happy to help him with his learning process.
I adjusted his hand and placed his thumb on my clit. 'Gentle', I asked when he pressed it too hard. He was having trouble comprehending what to do so I showed him, rubbing my own clit, circling it in a gentle way, squeezing my breasts. I asked for a third finger when I was close to the edge and he gave it to me just in time for me to climax in his hand.
He played a little with the thickness of my pleasure, put his cock out and masturbated while licking what was left of me in his own hands, eventually reaching to have more, enjoying every single drop of it.
We moved inside when it started raining and stayed in bed, talking and learning about each other. He told me he was living in an abandoned house out of town and was planning to leave to a warm place as soon as winter arrives, once fire could draw unintentional attention. That he normally breaks into stores so he can have hygiene products and clothes. This was the only way he knew how to survive for the last twenty six years, if the count he made was correct.
"And you were all alone all this time? The people who did this to you didn't stay to help or assist you somehow?", I asked.
"I try to approach people, but they always run away. I thought the mask would help, but it made it worse in a sense. At least it allows me to walk around people when I have to and they just think I'm a weirdo, not a monster", he eyed the ceiling. "But it has always been me".
There was pain in his voice and something close to anger. And he had every right to feel this way.
"I know how you feel but I don't know how you feel, but I'm sorry you have to feel this way". I kissed his neck and his chest and laid on it, stroking his hair as he petted my back.
I was very fond of that creature. He knew pain and loneliness; he knew what it was like to feel isolated and try to find yourself in the world. I didn't know how it was to feel his needs, that I had no idea. What I know, for sure, was that I wanted him with me - but I had no idea how to make it work.
"Although I don't care for the people in this town, you don't have to rob them. I can provide to you wherever you need.", I told him.
"Thank you", I felt his smile when he kissed the top of my head.
"I need to ask you something". I sat and faced him. "The only thing I care about is my safety. And now yours. I'm afraid you go after the wrong people and they come after me again or they catch you. I can't let this happen". He wasn't blinking. His lips was a straight line.
"I can't starve", he said.
"I know. It's just… I don't know. Can't we find another way?"
He put himself up just as fast as an animal. He was shaking and his body language was different.
"You want to change who I am! You think I never tried it before? I knew I couldn't trust you. I can trust no one!". His voice was so threatening that I shivered.
He grabbed his mask and cardigan and left. I tried to call him but he still didn't have a name. I ran after him in the rain and took his arm, he turned with his teeth exposed and came over me, there was no shade of blue in his eyes, just pitch black darkness. I froze and tried to make my heart beat in a normal way, but I couldn't. I could be his next meal if he wanted. He left me in the rain with a heavy breathing and a broken heart.
-------
The week that followed was horrible. I couldn't concentrate and got myself going after every sound I heard thinking it could be him. I even tried to find the place he said he was living, but didn't succeed. He was gone.
Not for a second I wanted to change who he was, I wanted to protect him so he could never feel alone again. So I could never feel alone again. I knew I didn't express myself in a proper way, but he didn't even let me have the opportunity to do so. He's been so hurt all his life that his first reaction was to push me away.
And his eyes… The way he threatened me with his body was scary but I couldn't shake the need to apologize to him.
I had a lot of tarot reading during the week, so I was busy, but every now and then, he was popping in the corners of my mind and I was thinking all of that while pulling the cards. I had to concentrate really hard not to cry.
An hour later after my last client on sunday night, I heard a knock on the door. I thought it was another client, someone who came over for an extra reading - they normally do that, remember that they want to ask a question and return to my house. I charge, of course.
But it was him.
As I opened the door, he inhaled so deeply that the air changed. My grin immediately disappeared when he forced me against the door, hurting my head and back when he aggressively pushed me against it.
"Blood", he said, holding my wrists so tight I could swear he was feeling my heartbeat and waiting for it to stop. He was smelling my body.
"Y-yeah. I-I'm on m-my bl-blood moon". I was shaking. "You're scaring me", I whined and couldn't look at him. If he wasn't with his mask on, he would have bitten me.
He let go of me and took a step back, blinking repeatedly to bring his eyes to focus. He looked at me with so much sorrow that ached my heart - more than it was already aching with the realization that he was capable of hurting me, because that was his nature and he couldn't help it.
He ran away.
I locked the doors and cried myself to sleep that night.
-------
Ten days had passed and he didn't show up. I was starting to make peace that he was gone for good this time, being now only a memory I'd keep in the depths of my mind, because it was an easier way to deal with the grief of not seeing him again, not having his company.
I went to town to buy groceries, listening to a very sad music as I parked in front of Jim's store and waited for it to end before leaving the car. Ms. Turner was sitting with her squad, drinking coffee and observing my every move when I locked the car, my sad look caughting her attention. I flipped her off before she could say anything. That put a smile on my face.
"How's everything, dear?" Jim asked when I got to the cashier to pay for my groceries.
"I've been better. I've been worse". I did my best to show some teeth but I felt I was acting like a crazy woman.
Jim packed my things in silence after offering me a compassionate look.
I was leaving the store when the douches town parked next to my car, cheering loudly words I couldn't comprehend.
"I don't know what that fucking thing was, but now it's dead! For Keef!", one of them barked.
"For Keef!", the others followed. How stupid a person could be, I asked myself.
"What is the fuss all about, you guys?" Ms. Turner asked in a teenager voice. I giggled in ridiculousness.
"We were hunting what hunt Keef and we found it!". One of them answered and my heart sank. I turned to listen to what those morons had done. "We shot it when it was feeding on a deer. It was a fucking weird thing, didn't look like an animal at all! But anyway, it is dead now"
"Are you sure it is dead?", I asked - and everyone looked at me. No one ever expected me to speak.
"Sure, baby. It was very close to your house", the stupid brainless guy said, moving close to me. "In fact, you should be thanking us for saving your life". He thought it was a good idea to hold me by the waist. His breath was pungent and disgusting. His mates were laughing.
"I'll sure do". I smiled at him and kneeled his dick very hard. He fell on the ground and his friends tried to come over me but I put my knife on the throat of one of them and they backed off.
"Don't think I need your protection, you bitch", I said as I got in the car, slamming the door after me.
I was driving so fast that I almost crashed into an intersection.
No no no, please. Was all I could think about. He was still around and hunting animals to survive. If he was dead, it was my fault. I would search that whole woods after him. I'll find him.
Please be alive.
As I reached the house, a figure was laying on the porch, a blood trail from the stairs to the place he was motionless. I drifted in the wet leaves as I parked the car and ran to him, kneeling beside him. He was pale and his skin was too cold, there was so much blood I couldn't see where the wound was. I started crying, begging him in a whisper to stay with me.
He held my leg - he tried to, because he couldn't sustain his limbs - but it was enough for me to know that he was still alive.
"Where is it?" I asked, knowing he wouldn't be able to answer me. I flipped his body, flatting his back on the hard wood floor and I saw it. He had been shot in the face and on the left side of his torso. The face wound wasn't that deep, a scratch that left a scar on his beautiful face from the cheek bones ascending to the side of his head. But the torso one was the problem, I could see his bone through the open laceration in his flesh.
There was no bullet in sight - and that was a relief - but he needed a kind of medical care I was not able to provide. I felt my head starting to fog and I had to shake myself out of it. He needed me - and I'll do anything for him.
I ran inside and took all the medical supplies I could think of. I grabbed blankets and sheets and a pillow, too - and I'm not so sure why I did that.
I sat on top of him, preparing myself for what was about to come; put his arms underneath my legs and held him still. I leaned over him and placed a kiss on his lips.
"I'm sorry" and put alcohol in the wound. His eyes went wide open and he tried to attack me; lucky for me, he was weak and I managed to hold him. "I know! I know! I'm sorry", I was crying as he was screaming. And that wasn't even the worst part.
"Listen to me", I leaned over him again, pressing the wound so it would stop the bleeding. "Listen to me. I know it hurts, I know you're scared, but I need to clean the wound and close it. It'll hurt more and I need you to stay still. Can you do this for me?"
He had tears in his eyes and his breath was uneven. I stroked his face and asked again; he closed his eyes and nodded.
"Thank you", I exhaled the air of my lungs, trying to calculate my next steps. "Hold this and bite it if you want. You can destroy it, that's ok", I handed him the pillow.
With shaky hands, I put the thread in the needle, hoping for the same outcome I used to have when I have to suture myself, but with much less significant injuries.
He was holding the pillow next to his mouth, his eyes looking another direction but my own. When I pinched him for the first time, he tried to reach for my neck - it was stupid of me to free his hands - but he stopped himself this time. As the thread crossed his skin, he gripped to that pillow and bite, taking a piece of it, his screams being suffocated when he shove his whole face in the pillow.
And then it all went silent.
His hand fell to the ground and his eyes closed. I took off the pillow of his face and checked his pulse. He was still alive, fast heartbeats, but passed out from the pain.
I continued suturing, apologizing all the way through. Praying the Goddess to help both of us.
I finished and cleaned the wound again; bandaged him and sat beside him, crying my eyes out when the adrenaline rush passed. I didn't know what to do next, so I stared at the blood and planned my revenge against the ones who caused him this suffering.
He started to move and I could feel my heart beating again. He had fibers of the pillow in his mouth and was trying to spit it. I gave him water - that I know he was able to digest.
"You can't stay here", I said to him.
His eyes flooded with tears again and he tried to put himself on his feet. I came to help him but he brushed me off. That was odd.
"I said you can't stay outside. You're not going anywhere". I held him again because he was about to fall. "I just can't drag your ass inside on my own, can you walk?". He nodded but remained seated. He pulled me to him and started to cry on my neck and I just let him there for the time he needed.
We managed to get to my room and I laid him on the mattress, took a towel and bathed him with warm water in the best way I could, trying my best to take the excess of blood out of him. He slept for one day and a half.
The blood was starting to smell and I had to change his bandages. I hunted a rabbit for him and gave it to him to eat, but didn't stay to watch. I sat him in a chair under the running water and ran to change the sheets while he was waiting for me.
I helped him take a bath; took the blood stains out and checked his body for more wounds or bruises I had let pass. Found an old pair of sweatpants from my dad's and changed his bandages. The wound was very red, but not in an inflammatory way, thank Goddess! I put some medicinal balm over it to help with the healing process and wish for the best.
He was still very weak after a week, but decided to join me in the kitchen anyway.
"How are you feeling today?" I asked him.
"Strange", he closed his eyes when running a finger through the new scar in his face.
"What do you mean?", I sat with him at the table. I was worried. I didn't know if he was able to take synthetic medicine, so I was trying to help him heal from the outside.
"I feel this pain inside of me", he said.
And that was exactly what I was worried about.
"Shit. Where does it hurt?", I asked.
"I don't know. Here", he pointed to his chest.
I put my hand on his chest to check for any marks or bruises, there was none. He looked at me the moment I touched him, breathing heavier.
"There's nothing in there. Did you fall or hurt yourself?". I was distracted by my dinner and didn't realize he was staring at me, nostrils wide open with the amount of air he was putting inside of him. He was looking kind of funny.
"What?" I asked, laughing.
"It was hurting before all this happened, that's why I came to see you and… and you were smelling like blood". He closed his eyes and inhaled the same way he did that night. "Then I tried to talk to you again, because the pain didn't go away and I didn't know what to do, but I remembered the way you looked at me and it hurts more".
"You scared me that night". He held his chest when I said that.
"Are you causing this?", he seemed mad.
"I'm not doing anything!", I defended myself. He was not making sense at all.
"Yes, you are! I never felt this until I met you", he said in a panic tone. He was standing in the middle of the kitchen now, his eyes bluer than ever. Scared than ever.
I studied his face, trying to understand his confusion and I realized that for the first time he was not leaving when he was feeling overwhelmed. I stood up and walked to him, stopping right in front of him so he could see my face.
"What do you feel when you're close to me?", I asked. He didn't answer.
"Ok. What do you feel when I get close to you?", I rephrase my question.
"My heart goes faster, I feel lightheaded and I feel hot", he answered and I hold a laugh.
"What do you feel when I do this" and I kissed him, softly.
"That I'm being hunted", he answered when we stepped away, still with his eyes closed, holding me by my waist.
"I'm afraid to say I am, indeed, the one causing you this", I caressed his face. "But there's nothing I can do about it, I'm sorry. All I can say is that I feel the same, and you are the responsible for it"
"Am I causing you pain?", he put his forehead on mine when he asked that question. He was so sad with the idea of causing me any kind of suffering that I came too close to becoming a melted puddle of sugar.
"I'm not feeling any pain", I cup his face, feeling free to be myself for the first time in my life. "I am feeling love".
He backed a little, trying to make sense of my words.
"I'm not familiar with the concept of love", he confessed.
"Honestly, it is the same as pain. They're not so different from each other", I thought that was an honest comparison.
"So why feel it?" he asked.
"Why not? To feel something". I started to fear he was pushing away the idea and I'll have to deal with this on my own. "Do you wanna feel it?", I asked, very afraid of what the answer might be.
"Love or pain?", he inquired.
"Both. You can't have one without the other".
He didn't answer right away. Instead, he kept scanning my face, drawing circles in my back, making an effort to regulate his breath. Well, it was fun while it lasted!
"With you, I wanna feel everything", he kissed me, so passionate that the roof almost exploded over our heads. I was so in love with him but I didn't allow myself to feel its intensity until this very moment.
I was so happy that I, the weird, the freak, had finally found someone just as pure as I was.
Finally.

"Take A Break"
Chapter 2: "Take A Broken Hope"
Legend was the Veteran, he had experience in all things related to being a hero. However, he didn't have experience with losing hope, yes he's lost hope in others before, but he has always been able to trust himself to get him out of situations, and normally he was the kingdom's hope. Not this time, this time he had no chance of getting himself out and as things progressed he lost hope in anyone else doing it.

Read On AO3 Warnings: torture, graphic violence
Legend did not know when he lost consciousness, but then he was waking up and he was dazed and his body felt heavier than even after a too-long night's sleep.
When he finally did wake up, he realized he was bound and blindfolded, and... maybe stupidly, he panicked a bit.
He startled, jerking on the ropes tied tightly around his wrists and he hissed softly. His ankles were tied together, like his wrists, but his wrists were tied to something else behind him with extremely little wiggle room.
"Ah, you’re up." He startled, twisting his head and ears to pinpoint the location of the voice.
"Where am I? What do you want?" Legend demanded, snarling a bit. He heard footsteps, wood floors, echoed but not that much, so... a decently sized room, maybe a bit bigger or just mostly empty, wooden floors meant it was a building...
"It doesn't matter, and revenge." His hair was grabbed and his head slammed into what felt like wood behind him. Legend grit his teeth to keep any noise of pain escaping him.
"Revenge?" He snarled. He hadn't done anything here.
"Not on you. On that so-called hero. He got our friends and family killed all because he wouldn't marry some lady. Now we'll kill his friends and family as revenge until the day he dies."
Oh. They're after the captain.
"Don't you touch him," he growled.
"He isn't the one you should be worried about," they said, and Legend could feel them moving closer. Their hand in his hair let go and promptly grabbed his chin, he froze as he felt their breath on his face. "You were fun to kiss when you couldn't fight back, I wonder how much better you'd be when you can."
Oh goddesses no. He could take torture but Farore, goddess, please don't make him--
"Oh, I always thought those over-dramatic stories were just that, dramatic, but I can taste your fear." Their breath still ghosted over his face.
He opened his mouth to tell them to get away, to bite at them, to headbutt them, something dammit! But their grip on his face tightened and, goddesses above, he could hear the grin.
"They said I could do what-ev-ver I want to... We'll have some fun together, won't we... What's your name?"
The grip loosened and Legend snarled, begging his rabbit heart not to control him. "Go jump off a cliff."
Nails dug into his cheeks. "Oh, you most certainly will be a fun one, won't you."
Legend has been stabbed before, he's been cut, he's taken hits while high on adrenaline and while half asleep. He's been struck by lightning for Farore's sake.
Tortured? He's had training to withstand torture, to never give a hint of any information. He was taught that screaming wasn't a sign of weakness, that it was the safest and least harmful way to endure pain--better than clenching teeth, biting tongues or cheeks, or digging nails--however, begging was a sign of weakness.
As a warrior, and as a hero, he couldn't show that much weakness. That was admitting defeat and he was never to admit defeat.
But Din, Farore, and Nayru--he was so close.
He had tried not to scream when his skin was surgically sliced open and needles were driven carefully beneath his nails. He did well to keep silent for what had to of been a couple of hours.
Then the burns started. They cauterized each wound--long cuts from his wrist to his elbow, careful slits in his bicep and thighs, one under his chin that felt moments away from breaking into his mouth--with a red-hot knife.
He screamed then, and when they forced him to drink some kind of poison that felt as if it was burning him alive, sending him into a seizing state and only giving him an antidote at what was probably the last second possible... then only waiting for him to wake back up to put ice on the untreated, still painful burns?
He wasn't okay. He had done a lot of things, he had taken a lot of pain, but the burns and ice were the worst of all of it. Even drowning had been better than this.
"You're something incredible, darling," his torturer purred, Legend hated how kind he managed to sound while tearing apart every last strand of sanity he had. "Nobody else has made it past the fire and ice without begging. You must be trained for this kind of thing... a real child soldier."
"I--" Legend screamed when something electrified was driven into his ribs.
"What was that?"
"I'm--I am not a soldier," he rasped, his throat burning at the words spoken.
"Adorable, really."
Their fingers trailed over his freezing burns and it felt weird, the nerves were gone but the skin untouched between each new scar was alight. He was still blindfolded, and it was because of that sensory deprivation, he felt everything else that much more.
"You’re doing so... well."
Another scream ripped from his throat as his nerves burned. Electricity tore through his body, his lungs, burning everything in its path and golden three, he took it back. He had just forgotten how awful that lightning strike had been and suddenly he was reliving it.
His screams just failed, they trickled out, his voice broken and throat raw.
At some point, he couldn't even scream, his throat so raw not a sound escaped him.
The fire, ice, and electricity continued, but the psychopath decided to do all at the same time in addition to that burning poison and...
If he could, he would be begging, no matter what training he had.
"Oh, you cry so well, little soldier."
He hated it. He hated that condescending tone. He hated being called a soldier because he was not a soldier.
Soldiers were followers. Soldiers followed a set of fallible rules. Soldiers could be corrupted, influenced, and controlled. Soldiers followed the money. He was no soldier.
Another silent scream was stolen, another attempt at begging for a reprieve cried out and left unheard.
It didn't stop, but suddenly his arms were unbound and his body roughly dragged. It sent the pain into overdrive and for a moment he floated. For a moment it all blinked out.
Then he came back, held limply against what felt like a chest, and he felt the blindfold be taken off.
Light didn't assault his eyes, everything was muted, but the world he saw was bloody and awful. A table soaked in blood and various items he realized had been the tools used to chip away at him.
The door swung open and Legend felt a surge of relief.
Warriors stood in the doorway, eyes blazing something terrifying and sword drawn. He froze where he stood.
The chest behind him shook, Legend took too long to realize it was laughter.
The captain's eyes completely slid over him, he moved to the table and called over his shoulder.
"Rancher! I got blood here!"
Why didn't he see him? Why--
The shadows always felt close, but Legend realized belatedly that the person who held him was hiding them both inside the shadows.
No. No, no, no. He couldn't--He was so close! Captain!
Nothing more than a high rasp escaped him.
The chest shook harder.
Then Wolfie entered, padding into the room and raising his nose in the air to sniff. Legend internally begged, for the first time in his life, that the hound would find him.
He tapped Warriors' leg twice with a paw.
Warriors snarled. "Find them."
Hounds couldn't follow shadows. They wouldn't find him. They wouldn't find him!
No! No!
Wait no. Stop! He wanted to scream, he tried to scream but nothing came out. His throat burned from the overuse but it wouldn't work.
He was hidden in shadows--No, he was in control of shadows. His magic wasn't wholly depleted, he could break them free, please!
"Captain!" He wanted to scream, he tried to scream, but nothing broke past his throat.
"The wall... don’t tell me it was a portal," Warriors asked Wolfie, who whined pitifully.
No! He was right here! Please!
The chest shook and a voice whispered into his ear. "So close... yet so far. I'm sure you wish you hadn't screamed so much."
 Wolfie twitched, growling lowly.
Please. Please. He couldn't-- He needed--
Twilight stood in Wolfie's place. "They had to of used a portal or something that let them get through this wall. But this..." his hand hovered over the table, "this was the veteran."
Warriors growled. "The wall? Think we could break it down?"
"Probably. I smelled dark magic on it, so maybe we should call the Traveler over first."
Please. Please don't leave him. Please...
"Traveler!" Warriors called loudly.
A moment later, Sky and Hyrule came skidding into the room.
"Did you--Oh Three." Hyrule covered his mouth and retched. "Please tell me that's not his."
"They care, how adorable." Warm breath grazed over his ear and Legend sobbed, they were right there and he couldn't--he needed them to notice.
Warriors didn't respond. "There's dark magic here. Can you figure it out?"
Hyrule frowned. "I... Well, I'm not really good at tracking other people's magic and all. But it feels like... like Ravio and Wolfie to be honest, not totally dark but definitely not light, a sort of in-between, shadowy magic." His eyes glazed over pink. "I can--"
He froze, staring directly at Legend and flicking his eyes behind him.
"NO--"
The shadows converged on them and Legend could only meet Hyrule's eyes before he was dropped onto new, cold ground, listening to the laughter of the psychopath and the celebration of their escape.
He had been so close...
The pain burned through him, but even so he tried to stand. This was his one chance, wasn't it? He couldn't depend on others to save him, he had to save himself. This was his last shot, he wasn't bound, surely he could--
"Still fighting? And I'd thought I'd broken you."

By special request, a continuation of my Gwynriel angst prompt “when did you start lying to me?” but with a smutty ending.
So... angsty smut? Or smutty angst? You decide
---
Azriel froze a foot from the door as her words hit him with the force of a war hammer.
"Because I was scared."
"Scared." He repeated the word as though it were foreign to him. Whirling around, he found her on the ground, hugging her knees to her chest. His anger from before deflated a fraction. The tears spilling from her eyes tore at his heart, but he would not let himself comfort her. Not until he had answers.
He needed to know.
Needed to know what he had done, where he had gone so wrong, that she did not trust him enough to tell him the truth. To keep something so momentous from him.
"You were scared?" he asked numbly. "Of what?"
"You."
He went wholly still. Even his shadows seemed thrown by this response, finally deigning to come out from hiding behind him to peer over his shoulder at him. Mate, they seemed to say mournfully.
"Of- me?" The words burned as he choked them out.
Gwyn sighed, scrubbing her face with her hands. "Not you, exactly. But your reaction."
"How so? What did you think I would do?"
She looked up at him them, but whatever she was attempting to convey in those seaglass eyes of hers, he did not understand.
With another sigh, she got to her feet, apparently not wanting to have this conversation on the ground, and leaned against the wall once more. "Azriel, I love you-" those words sucked the very air from him, though she did not seem to notice. "But you are perhaps the most doggedly determined person I know, aside from myself. From the way you've spoken in the past of the females you cared for... it was so- possessive-"
"Possessive?" He stalked back across the room towards her, aghast. Was that what she'd thought he would think? That she belonged to him? The very idea was abhorrent. Gwyn was her own person, as she often liked to remind him. She belonged to no one but herself, and he had never dared to think otherwise.
"Yes," she said, watching him warily. "The way you spoke of them- the obviously jealousy you felt for the attention they gave others and not you. The obessesive way you pursued them, even after they made their disinterest clear..."
Whatever else she said, he barely heard it as his anger rose again, thundering in his mind like a living creature. All those old insecurities that he thought he'd buried came roaring back to life. Not good enough. Too damaged. Worthless.
"...At first I just wanted a chance to know you, this male who'd rescued me. To know if what I'd felt the night was real. I knew it was the minute I saw you again, but I still didn't know you... I was worried that you might- you might push too far. That the bond might drive you to- might make you desire what I was not ready to-"
Her words cut off with a startled scream as his fist landed on the wall beside her face. He blinked, startled himself to find he had even moved, let alone thrown a punch at the wall, cracking the wood.
"I- sorry, I-"
Gwyn cringed away from him, into the corner, but they were already standing so close to it she only managed to move a few inches. He backed off slightly, holding up his hands. "I'm sorry."
She only stared at him, for once showing a fear he'd never seen in her Not even the night they'd met, when he'd been covered in the blood of the males he'd just killed. Perhaps she was right to be scared of him. He couldn't even control his anger around her, how did he expect her to trust her body to him? Her heart?
But she'd given him that already, hadn't she?
"Azriel, I love you-"
Or perhaps that had been a lie too.
"Is that what you think of me?" he asked, his throat tight. "You think I would- that I would try to force you?"
Her eyes went wide. "No! No, of course not. I- I do know you better than that but... I know the mating instinct is stronger for males. I knew it would push you claim me- to be with me- but I wasn't ready for any of that. Not just the physical things, I wasn't ready for a relationship either. And... the longer I waited to tell you, the harder it was. It never seemed to be the right time..."
They stared at each other, Azriel wanting to forgive her, to go to her, to touch her, taste her, breath her in- but he held off, still hurt.
"I do though," she said after a moment. "Want those things now, I mean."
There was a giddy fluttering in his chest that he tried to suppress. She wanted him. She loved him. Had chosen him. But none of this made up for the fact that she had lied to him. Might have kept on lying to him for cauldron knew how long, had he not found out the way he did.
"But you don't trust me," he said, his voice low.
"I do," she insisted. He moved suddenly, boxing her in. She gasped, jerking slightly.
"Are you sure about that?" he asked. He could feel his shadows behind him now, climbing around him to cocoon them in darkness, hiding them from the outside world. He could still see her, though. Could see the steadiness in her gaze as she nodded.
"Yes."
In a flash, he had her spun around from him, her body wedged between him and the wall. He could hear her nervous breaths, feel her trembling, could smell the mixture of fear and desire wafting off of her.
"Are you sure?" he asked again, sliding his hands up along her sides. She shivered, but nodded.
One hand found the end of her braid, wrapping it around his fist and tilting her head to the side, while the other wrapped around her belly, pressing her firmly against him. He dragged the tip of his nose along the smooth column of her neck, inhaling loudly as something predatory and primal took over him.
"Tell me to stop, Gwyn," he said, almost pleadingly, against her ear. Her scent was driving him mad. Now that he knew of the existence of the bond, even if it had not snapped into place for him yet, he could feel the urge to claim her. It burned low and hot within him.
He heard her suck in a shaky breath, but she said not a word. Now was not the time for misunderstanding though. Not when he felt like this. Not with the history between them, the knowledge of what she had been through. He needed to hear her say it.
"Tell me to stop, Gwyn," he repeated.
"N-no," she breathed. "I trust you."
A growl worked its way up his throat. "Now is not the time to say what you think will appease me-"
"I'm not," she snapped, now sounding angry herself. "Quite frankly, I'm insulted you think I would."
He nearly laughed at that. She was right. Gwyn had never done anything to appease him. She had the ability to both soothe him, and aggravate in a way no one else could. She never backed down from him, no matter how bull headed he was being. Never took the easy way. She liked a good fight, his Gwyn.
So, he'd give her one now.
He pulled them both back from the wall enough for him to reach a hand around her and begin unbuckling the straps that held her leathers in place. He moved slowly, checking to see if she would object with each one he unfastened, each new inch of skin he bared. She did not object, bracing one hand against the wall while laying the other over his own hand, beginning to guide him to the next buckle, and the next.
Soon, her top hung open, and he could see the smooth expanse of skin between her breasts. "Tell me to stop," he said, reaching his hand back up and slipping it beneath the soft lining of her leathers to palm her breast. It was the perfect handful, not too small, not too large. Made just for him.
She arched into him, her breathing uneven. "Don't stop," she panted.
Azriel swallowed a groan as he obeyed.
They continue their discussion later. Figure out what all of this meant, and how to move forward once they got home. Right now, he just wanted to feel...

Part 2
( Naru killed his uncle in an epic climactic battle after a lot of torture and ended up burning everything ahem....moving on ..)
Naru wasn't dead yet, but he felt like he would be , sooner or later. As he was lying down , in a blurry haze of pain and something he couldn't quite understand, he thought about his father once again and began thinking of what he would say to him if he died here. He didn't know how it ended up being transmitted to fredo but it did.
Fredo blinked. Where was he again? Hadn't he just been fighting the White star. He moved his eyes slightly, finding himself in an unfamiliar room. Solena gasped from where she was sitting. The Duke has finally awoken! It had been a week since he was in a coma.
"The white star…?"
"He hasn't been sighted since your fight. It is believed he sustained a lot of injuries too"
Fredo nodded, a bit absent mindedly. Naru had told him to run away but he couldn't do that. That's right. Where is his adorable son?
"Where's Naru?"
"Little young master was just beside you two days ago….I have not seen him since then. But he should be fine."
"You-"
And then a voice suddenly started talking inside his head
"Father."
Naru?!
"Father. I miss you"
"I hope you were here father"
"Naru?!!" Fredo cried.
"Your Grace? Young master is not here. Are you alright? "
"Don't be too sad father. If I'm not by your side.
I had hoped to be beside you when you woke up. But it looks like you would have to come to me everything hurts so much father
"I don't know when or how I came to think of you as my real father but you were the best father I ever had.
Don't be too mad either father, if I'm gone."
Fredo's breath stilled. He didn't know what was happening or how his son was suddenly talking inside his head but something felt so wrong.
"Naru, where are you? Can you hear your father? "
"Your Grace what-"
" Father, being alive is the best. I had always been told that. But being alive doesn't mean living. So you must live happily, father.
If I leave and never come back ..will you miss me father? "
Fredo's heartbeat started racing up. Something happened to his child. Someone hurt his son when he couldn't protect him. He was going to pulverize the one who dared. He ripped off the blankets and jumped out of the bed. His body however, couldn't bear the burden and he ended up falling on the floor. He had just awoken from the coma. And some of the injuries were still healing.
"Your Grace!! Is the young master in danger?! I will leave at once to find-
"NARU! MY CHILD!"
"Duke! Calm yourself! I will find the young master! "
"I SAID LET ME GO"
"....I hope you miss me father.  Goodbyes sure are hard aren't they, father?
Haha…"
Fredo froze. No. His son isn't going anywhere. He threw Solena off and teleported to Naru's coordinates in a flash. His already dead heart broke even further when he found him.
His son. His only son. His precious , selfless, forgiving, wonderful son. Leaning against a broken rock , with blood dripping from every crevice of his body. He was staring at the dipping sun with a peaceful look in his eyes.
"..Naru.."
Naru's gaze shifted towards him,
"You are finally here father"
And smiled brightly, so brightly and so happily ,as if to ingrain it in Fredo's mind till the end of time.
"I'm sorry-I'm so late. Father is sorry. Naru Naru-"
His legs gave out and he ended up falling down again on his knees and embraced Naru tightly
" Father is here now, You are safe now naru. Father missed you lots. You want to be a slacker right. You have to live a long life for that. Naru-ya are you listening? Naru naru naru-"
His voice cracked but he continued speaking nevertheless. Naru who felt his father's warm embrace, never felt any safer. He was content now. And slowly and surely ,his breathing evened out.
"Thank you for everything father "

Character Death?
Voldemort leaves when Harry is asleep. He places a lingering, sweet kiss on his wife's sleeping lips — for a moment, he wishes nothing but to stay — and retreats.
Harrison Potter is going to die tonight. It will be quick. Painless.
There is nothing to worry about. He will be back before she wakes.
Harry wakes to an empty bed. It's the first sign something is wrong. Voldemort has never, in all time of them being together, ever left the bed before morning. He always stayed the night, and always had breakfast prepared for Harry downstairs. There were noises in the house. For a moment, she thinks Voldemort is downstairs making breakfast, but there are voices. Voices she recognizes.
“Quick, Barty, pack everything.”
That was Bellatrix’s voice... What were they doing here? Where was Voldemort?
Harry’s heart started thudding.
“Wormtail, that vermin, that vile fucking traitor.”
Another crack.
“Snape's information was false, it was a trap —” Rodolphus; he sounded out of breath, he sounded angry, furious.
“The entire upper level of the house has been blown up —” said Rabastan's rougher voice. “We couldn't find the fucking brat — Dumbledore got there before us —”
Harry can't breathe. For a moment, her heart stops beating, dread spreading across her entire body, tightening the muscles inside her stomach. No. No, he wouldn’t break his promise. He wouldn't have gone after the Potter boy... He wouldn’t have...
The house the Potters hid in... Blown up?
Harry dragged on the first robe in arms reach. She got out of the bedroom. They must have heard her, because when she reached the landing (her legs felt weak, numb, how she even managed to cross the distance remained unknown to her, it was like she was in some sort of horrible lucid dream with no control over it).
Four Death Eaters looked up at her, and the looks on their faces told Harry enough. Her heart dropped. It felt like ice froze it over. She felt both weightless and too heavy, feeling sick and hollow inside her stomach both.
“My Lady,” whispered Barty, voice hoarse. They all bowed low.
“Where is he?” she asked.
The four turned still.
No. Please no.
Her throat clogged.
“He’s vanished, my Lady.”
“Vanished where?” Harry demanded. She never knew she was capable of giving orders except to her Quidditch Team on the pitch.
“We don’t know. We know he went there on Wormtail’s information. Malfoy, Avery, Goyle, Crabbe, they’ve all been —”
Another man crashed through the doors, wand raised. The Death Eaters and Harry raised their wands. It was Antonin, sounding like he’d ran the entire England to reach here. His hair was messy, and he looked murderous.
“I almost killed you," he growled. His eyes found Harry. He tried for a smile, but it fell.
“We need to leave here. The wards the Dark Lord placed have vanished. All the Imperiused Aurors have woken up.”
Harry felt ice cubes fill her stomach. If all the spells were broken... Tom was...
No, he can’t be... Harry is still here. And the others are hidden away, too...
“The Dark Mark has faded.”
“But not erased,” said Bellatrix. “The Dark Lord lives. Otherwise the Lady’s wrist would burn. He lives. He is only weakened."
Harry couldn't breathe. Why? Why did he have to go? Why did he break his promise?
Harry felt tears well in her eyes, a heaviness clog her throat.
Bellatrix reached out and grabbed Harry’s numb hands, giving them a squeeze. “We will find him, my Lady.”
“We will murder all those traitorous cunts,” growled Antonin.
“Do you know where he could have gone?” asked Harry.
“We don’t know, my Lady,” said Dolohov. “I suspect one of the Aurors hold him. There is no trace of a struggle. He must have been taken by surprise, which is quite a feat. They're all already celebrating, saying he is vanquished, calling the Potter boy The Boy Who Lived.”
Rabastan spat on the floor in disgust.
It was strange. Harry felt... Numb. Hollow. And then she felt angry. She felt so angry that she wanted to raze the entire Ministry to the ground single-handedly and kill every single Auror until there were no Aurors left.
The magic wasn’t there without Tom. Tom is who made her life magical. He always made sure there was no moment that was not magical.
The first tear rolled down Harry’s cheek. She didn’t bother wiping it away.
“We need to go, my Lady,” said Antonin, looking at Harry.
Rodolphus stepped up.
“I found this,” he pulled a wand out of his pocket. White, yew.
Voldemort's wand.
Harry's legs did fail her in that moment. Bellatrix and Antonin rushed forward, catching her as the first sound that she had been surpressing between her breasts escaped, a gut-wrenching, heartbroken scream.
Gently, Rodolphus handed the wand to Harry. Harry clutched the wand to her chest, to her heart, and started to weep, sobbing openly. Her soul felt ripped in half, like a part of it was ripped out.
Harry held the only thing left by her soulmate, and she would have given everything — her soul, her life, all the magic in the world, the world itself — if it meant Voldemort would come back.

The Lost Woods - Chapter 6 - "Sleepyhead"
Finally after a lot of years, I have updated this fic. Here's hoping it still fits with the rest of the fic lol.
Warning(s): minor blood and injury, death threats, some creepiness
Read it on AO3
At first, he thought he heard the sweet sounds of harp strings far off in the woods. It confused him, this wasn't his era, and no one except for the other heroes and himself had been able to travel through the dark portals. But why, then, did it sound like someone was playing the harp? He walked toward it, his heart telling him it must be his Zelda, his sun, but his mind only questioned how real that could be.
He entered a clearing, pushing past branches until he saw a soft glow.
"Zelda?" he called out, only to hear laughter. He couldn't place it at first, but as he approached, fear gripped him, forcing him to dodge as a blade swung where he had been standing.
"Oh, sky child, how I have missed you."
The blood drained from his face at the voice that was so familiar and terrifying. He saw Ghirahim smiling wide as he met Sky's eyes.
"What's wrong, hero? Are you so happy to see me again that you've lost the ability to speak?"
Sky unsheathed the Master Sword, swiping at Ghirahim only for the demon to jump out of the way.
"Now, that wasn't very nice. Didn't your goddess teach you any manners?"
"Wh-why are you here? I killed you when I defeated your master."
Ghirahim laughed, his body shaking with the force of the noise, sending shivers down Sky's back and his hair standing on end. There was only a second to react as Ghirahim charged forward, sword pointed horizontally to skewer Sky through the chest. The hero barely rolled out of the way, feeling the air displaced by the other's blade.
"Oh, how I've missed your idiotic prattle sky child. I'd think it was obvious why I am here," Ghirahim chuckled, turning and flipping his sword around, "I'm here to finish what I started all those years ago. I want to hear your tortured screams as I finally watch the light fade from your eyes."
Sky held his shield out, sword at the ready, and Ghirahim laughed.
"How cute that you think you can change your destined demise by my hands."
The demon rushed forward, slashing at Sky and connecting with the Master Sword Sky held. They were at a stalemate, neither willing to back down from the clash nor give the enemy a chance to retaliate. Sky grits his teeth as Ghirahim smiles, pointing his tongue at the hero. Sky recoiled, jumping back as Ghirahim did the same.
"Those heroes you travel with, sky child, I do hope they bring more of a challenge than you." Ghirahim smiled with a dreamy-sounding sigh, "Especially that Captain of yours. He's always had such delicious screams. I'm sure the screams of those heroes would be music to my ears."
Sky held his sword with a white-knuckled grip, anger and fear burning through his veins.
"How do you know him? He's far into our future," he glared, willing his voice and body not to shake with the knowledge that his foe had harmed one of his brothers.
Ghirahim shook his head, smiling as he started to circle Sky.
"Ah, so he hasn't shared, then? Such a pity. It was such a wonderful time we had together back then," Ghirahim twirled his sword in his hands, moving it back to point his blade at Sky, "Turning his men against him was great thinking on my part, such fun to watch the ensuing bloodbath as he ran to guess who was a friend and who was a foe."
Ghirahim smiled wider as he stood still behind the hero, Sky holding his sword out, readying for a possible attack.
"I wonder if such simple mind tricks would work on those heroes. Watching as you all tear each other apart, piece by goddess-damned piece. It would be a suitable fate for you after all the agony you have caused me."
"You will not touch them!" Sky screamed, rushing forward to slash at Ghirahim, only for the sword spirit to vanish in a cloud of diamonds.
Sky felt the blade at his back and froze, Ghirahim laughing as he pressed the tip of his sword against the hero's back. Sky felt his anger fade into fear and could almost hear how Ghirahim knew he had him pinned and couldn't fight back.
"It's amusing that you still believe you can stop me, stupid sky child. You had your little victory, but now? You've gotten soft. You can't win against me anymore. I will kill those heroes right before your eyes as you watch on, completely powerless to stop me."
Sky could feel himself tremble, his eyes filling with tears as he realized he couldn't win against Ghirahim, not alone. Not anymore. Sky heard something coming closer, the rustling of leaves and branches as heavy feet echoed.
"Oh? Well, I wonder who that could be. Hmm, maybe I'll get to start early then."
Sky felt the blade leave his back, yet he couldn't move when the sound of footsteps stopped behind him.
"Sky? You okay?"
Sky flinched, turning to see Legend looking at him with worry evident in his gaze, but Sky could only watch as Ghirahim smiled wide, stalking closer to Legend, utterly unaware of the danger he was in.
"Legend? You need to move now!"
Legend jumped as Ghirahim stepped behind him, drawing his blade only to duck a wide slash. Legend stood before Sky, sword and shield raised and ready for a fight. Sky's voice was stuck in his throat, unable to make a sound beyond forcing his lungs to breathe. Yet Legend didn't seem to see as Ghirahim grabbed the top of his shield, yanking him forward and forcing him to turn around to face Sky. Sky held the Master Sword at the ready, glaring at Ghirahim as he had his blade at Legend's throat.
"And so the heroes start to fall one by one," Ghirahim grinned.
"Over my dead body, let him go!" Sky shouted, raising his sword to run the demon through.
"Oh, but where would be the fun in that? No, I think I'd rather see you begging me to spare this one," Ghirahim started laughing, teasing Sky as he pressed the blade flush against Legend's neck until a bead of blood began to drip from the new wound.
"Sky? What's going on?"
Sky could hear Legend's voice tremble ever so slightly and the uncertainty in his gaze. Sky breathed, trying to shut out the laughter, and then he rushed forward.
"STOP!"
Sky flinched, dropping his sword and whipping around to see who had shouted. Legend yelped as he fell behind him, and Sky turned to see Ghirahim was no longer there. Or was he even there to begin with?
"Oh, thank the three. I found you two!" The voice yelled again, this time with Hyrule stepping out of the bushes, looking out of breath.
"What happened?" Sky questioned, helping Legend stand up as he checked to see that the wound wasn't even there.
"An illusion," Time stepped into view, Twilight, Warriors, and Four standing behind him, "we all saw things as well, though what we saw seems to differ."
"I can attest to that," Legend spoke, rubbing at his neck where the blade had been, "I saw people from my past, but then I ran into Sky and saw nothing at all. I could feel it, though."
"So the illusions are aimed at one person but can affect others? Interesting," Four mumbled.
"In any case," Hyrule said, "I'm glad I got to you both before something bad happened. Twilight saw whatever was doing this, but it ran away soon after. Hopefully, we catch up to it before something bad happens to the rest."
Sky nodded, looking at Legend and only seeing his fellow hero on the ground, dead. Either by his hand or by Ghirahim's, the image sent a shiver down his spine. He shook his head, turning away from Legend to meet Hyrule's worried gaze.
"Yeah, hopefully, we can."

Enjoy some Scaramouche/Wanderer angst. Yes this is Scaraether, don't like don't read simple as that. Enjoy the trauma. Inspired by the song 'Gilded Lily' by cults
He cradles the blond in his arms, fingers gingerly stroke through the golden sunlight of his lover. The once painted smile on his porcelain face now was genuine as they laughed together, reminiscing about times so dark they made the black clouds overhead seem gray. Another storm to weather, they joke happily as lightning crashes around them. He was too naive to see the bigger picture when Aether stroked his cold cheek and leaned up for another kiss. He didn't notice the signs as his lover settled back into his lap, breathing slowing. He merely thought the man was sleeping as he rolled over, facing away as he grew colder.
"The rain's clearing, we should get going if you want to make it to Mondstadt by nightfall." He shook the blond, a smile brighter than the setting sun on his face, "Come on lazy bum, let's get going." The shaking continued, and continues to become more erratic. His pale face practically ghostly as his eyes widened, chest burning.
"No." He shakes him again, twice, thrice, tears spilling. Time froze around him as his chest ached, the lover replaced by a memory of a helpless boy, limbs sprawled out, only a cold hand clutching a small doll to his chest. Smoke filled his lungs though he knew that should be impossible, he was burning, he was being consumed once more by the heat that never killed him no matter how he begged and pleaded.
Hasn't it been enough?
Hasn't he given enough?
Closing his eyes he can almost hear the heartbeats he had loved as they slow, becoming silent like his own heart, empty and heavy. He tightens his grip on the blond as tears stain his fragile face, the cracks of long buried emotions surfacing as his tears drip onto the one person he thought could save him. The one person that brought him clarity, peace… love. A tender hand caresses cold cheeks, shaking with anger and sadness.
Gently, he carried the male to the land of winds, pleading with every fiber of his superficial being that someone finally helped him. That someone heard the cries from his lips and accepted his pleas unlike that shrine maiden had, that sly fox that denied him. He begged the winds to not let this man become another traitor, the pain was too overwhelming.
It was almost like a dream how their memories surrounded him, playing over and over in a loop. Every smile, every kiss, every struggle and triumph. They had survived together. He couldn't do it alone. Not like this.
"Haven't I suffered enough?" He cried to the god, eyes deep blue as the tears ran like waterfalls. The light of his miserable existence was extinguished, cold and heavy in his weak arms. The god only looked on in silence, reaching out to the blond and touching his pale face. "When will it be enough?" The broken man asks, suffocating from the smoke of his past and the deafening silence of the present. The future was equally as bleak without his lover, his sun and star, his flower, his Aether.
"Have you given enough?" The god spoke, a smile decorating his features as he created a crystal fly and placed it in the blond's hair. "What were your sacrifices in the eyes of gods? You who have no heart?"
He couldn't have been more hurt, the question struck through him like a match in oil. Was he foolish to believe that for a moment the gods cared? When have they ever cared? He was breaking piece by piece, turning his head to throw up the rising bile in his throat. He felt a chill in his body, a spirit hugging him even after all his sins. Only one person could do that. "I don't want to be alone again…"
The god laughed, teal eyes lighting up, "Who said you were alone? Your lover won't leave you even in death it seems." The god hummed in thought, rubbing his chin, "As for your other wish… I think you just need to open your eyes, see things for what they really are."
"Open my eyes?"
He had his eyes open already though, didn't he? The god patted his head and vanished, leaving him with only the blond once more. He took a moment to instead close his eyes, steady his body and stop the shaking, Aether couldn't be too comfortable in his shaking arms he was sure. The chill around his body became ice, the whispers of a voice he could vaguely recall speaking in child-like wonder.
"If you accept that he is you, just as you are you. Then yes, you are evil."
Was this the price of his sins? It seemed only fitting that when he opened his eyes he was falling. How many times does that make it? Four? The first was when his mother dropped him into this cold, unforgiving land. The second, when he struggled to grab the gnosis and fell out of his machine. The third, he wanted to laugh at that number, was when he gained his memory back and saw Aether again. And now here he was, doomed to repeat the cycle a fourth time.
Hasn't he been through enough? Do the gods just enjoy his suffering? They take, and take, and take, all they ever gave was a vision that proved his mother had no love for him, a vision as cold and empty as himself. There's true freedom in this world after all, even the winds can't blow on forever right?
He seemed to just keep falling, there was no light so he had no clue what to be prepared for. Death was too good for him now, it'd be a mercy, and when has anything been merciful towards him. Where was the mercy when his mother abandoned him? Or when Niwa and the others were killed? Even the so-called 'benevolent' Tsaritsa used him as a tool and nothing else. He supposed now he was trapped to fall forever, to accept this as his new reality, the very definition of his life now made a literal reality. He wanted to laugh but the tears wouldn't stop.
The darkness swallowed him.
Maybe finally this would be enough to appease whatever has tormented him. Maybe death would finally come and untie his strings, his stage was long gone, his audience dead, he's collected dust. He closed his eyes for the eternal slumber he felt he deserved, a rest after all his wandering and heartache. He deserved at least that right?
"Kunikuzushi…" a haunting voice called out, a voice that should be familiar to him. "I'm sorry."
He opened his eyes to what felt like a dream, his falling stopped and had landed him in the lap of the last person he thought he'd see. Her violet eyes were full of tears as she gently stroked his hair. Lips quivering she tried to smile but it didn't quite look right. Her fingers twirled strands of his hair, he felt heavy in her hold. Was this the end?
"Why did you abandon me?" It was the only constant question in his life, the first thought he ever had. He sat up as he watched her face turn to surprise "Why didn't you just destroy me? Why watch as I suffered, why…" his voice trailed off as the goddess hugged him tightly, her arms tightening around him.
"I loved you, Kunikuzushi… you were like a son to me."
"Pretty shitty way of treating your son isn't it?" He scoffed, looking away. "I did all I could to erase myself from this world and fate brings me to you instead?"
"This isn't real… only a dream, you need to wake up Kunikuzushi." Beelzebub pulled away from her creation, a hand on his cheek as she smiled. "I am glad I did not destroy you, my son… you are exactly as you are supposed to be, I see that now." She pressed a soft kiss to his forehead and ruffled his hair gently. "Now please, awaken my son… your star is panicked."
It didn't click instantly, but when Scaramouche finally woke up from the dream to find himself on the ground, he realized three things. The first, that it has all in fact been the worst nightmare he's ever had. The second, that his creator, his mother of all people had finally spoken to him, that wasn't a dream. And the third, what an ironic number, was that he would never, ever, take Aether for granted as he reached up to the crying blonde and kissed him.
"Gonna cry all day over me sleeping or are we getting on the road sometime soon?" He teased, watching the blonde relax and hug him tightly. He returned it with a soft smile, "Hey… I'm not going anywhere remember? I'm yours now, strings and all." He chuckled and nuzzled into the blond's neck. "I'll never leave you."

To See You Again: Chapter 3
Astraea needed him... That much he knew. They had both been imprisoned and enslaved by their respective vampire lords for two hundred years. He couldn't imagine the suffering she had been forced to go through in such a long amount of time...
Astarion was starting to go mad, his mind was racing. He was desperate to find a way out of the coffin before whatever sanity he still had left was taken too.
"I need to find Astraea..." He whispered, pounding his fists on the top of the coffin. "I can't just sit here and wait. I... I need her."
After what felt like forever, Cazador finally returned, opening the lid of the coffin. "Are you finally ready to obey?" He sneered. Astarion looked up at Cazador, fury burning in his eyes.
"I'll never serve you or anyone else but myself. I hate you, Cazador." He spat, pushing off of the coffin and standing up straight. "The only thing I care about is finding my Astraea."
Cazador snarled, grabbing Astarion by the throat and slamming him against the wall. "When will you learn that you are MINE?! You think I'm just going to let you waltz right on out of here to search for your precious Astraea?!"
Astarion gasped as he was lifted off the ground, struggling for air. "I would rather die than spend another minute under your control!" His mind was set, his rage at the years he had spent as Cazador's pet at an all time high. He tried to pull free, trying his hardest to fight Cazador back. His face paled as he saw Cazador pull Astraea's photo out of his pocket. "How did you get that?!"
"I found it in your cot. I assume this is your precious little reminder of your Astraea?" Cazador sneered.
"Don't touch that!" Astarion roared, thrashing around in his fury. "She's my everything! She means more to me than you ever have, Cazador!" His face froze as he realized that Cazador was beginning to tear the photo. "N-No, please, stop...!" His face tightened as his eyes focused on the photo, the same hate he felt for Cazador over the centuries reaching a boiling point. "I loved her. I-I can't lose my one reminder of her...!"
"You loved her, eh~...? Well, there's no place for love when you're under my servitude!" Cazador laughed cruelly, ripping the photo of Astraea to shreds. "There we go. Now you don't have any more... DISTRACTIONS."
"How dare you...?! HOW DARE YOU?!" Astarion let out a guttural scream, clawing at Cazador's hands around his throat. "I'LL KILL YOU!"
"Insolent whelp! You'll never escape me..." Cazador hissed, tightening his grip. "You and your beloved Astraea will ROT."
"NEVER!" Astarion shouted. He refused to give up, despite Cazador choking him and holding him to the wall. He struggled and tried to kick Cazador's leg, only to fail again. He started to think; his anger was making him make bad moves. As much as it would pain him, he knew that if he wanted to escape, he would have to play nice. "Please Lord Cazador, let me go, I will do anything."
"If you're willing to do anything, then you will do your job." Cazador snarled, releasing him. "Go out into Baldur's Gate and use that body of yours to find pretty things for me to feed on. Lure them back here for me."
Astarion straightened his jacket, a snarl still on his face. Cazador had won, he'd just played his master's game again. "Fine. I will go find you victims." At least it wasn't another wasted day trapped inside that damned coffin. He needed something to do.
Every day that he was trapped under Cazador's control, Astraea only suffered more under Vorstra's hands. He had to find a way to escape, and soon. He couldn't take much more of this, he just wanted to see her face again.
He could do this, playing nice for a while longer wouldn't hurt him. Astarion sighed, this wasn't about him anymore. This was about Astraea, and getting her out of this.
"Just a little longer, my love... Just hang in there."
