do you ever think about sukuna as your dentist?

he’s a doctor and suspiciously handsome. like a little too perfect. like a man that's been spoon fed luck and success and knows it too well with the way he smiles at you.

(perfect teeth and all. as one would expect in his practice)

but then he sits on his stool, makes the scoot closer to you more sexy than awkward, and you find yourself eye level to his chest. in the deep v of his neck is a line of black ink peeking.

the perfection becomes less polished, a little more daring, and just that more enticing.

sukuna tips your head back with two fingers at the chin. he chuckles, patronizes you with an atta girl. as if the simple act deserves any praise at all. you don't even notice his eyes drift below your mouth, too distracted by the way his thumb is pulling at your lower lip.

they're predatory and he's well-versed in his prey. a quick scan is all needs and when a simple glance into your mouth makes him click his teeth, you can't help but grow defensive.

"i floss!" you admit, as if you want to truly earn the praise he gives.

sukuna simply chuckles, deliberate and cocky. "i know."

he takes his gloved index finger and probes forward, lining the back of your teeth, the tip digging into every crevice it passes. sukuna's thumb enters and he separates them to widen the gape of your mouth.

another atta girl escapes from his breath. this one is unrehearsed, spoken out of awe, as he dives deeper to press against your soft palette. at the lack of your reaction, sukuna smiles wickedly. it's perfect and pointed and you realize, maybe he knows more than you've revealed.

Not sure if this is an odd question - if someone were to draw characters like Machete as humans, is that a thing you'd find amusing/like to see, or do you consider that to defeat the purpose of how you made him?

I ask this as someone who loves your work but is notoriously bad at drawing anthros, but also just because I think the philosophy behind how and why people design characters is very cool.

I've been asked this a couple of times within past few weeks and I haven't managed to come up with an answer until now.

The thing is, I don't really know what my characters would look like as humans myself, and an overwhelming part of me doesn't want to find out ´v`' I'm not sure if their designs would translate to human form very well at all.

I do appreciate the fact that you asked though! I understand it's agonizing when you want to draw something outside of your area of expertise, it's the same thing with me and making fan art of human characters. I'm sincerely very flattered that you liked my guys enough to consider drawing them. Unfortunately I don't think I'm fully comfortable with humanizations of my characters, at the time at least.

#to me a big part of the appeal of furry/anthro/animal characters is that they don't resemble any existing people #you can't look at Machete and say your next door neighbor or dentist or this drummer in a band looks just like him #no one ever can #and I don't know I guess I just like the idea that they're completely exclusive to fiction and art and imagination #it elevates them in a sense #and humanizing them would take away some of that charm #but that's just my specific opinion and way to look at things #answered #littledudewizard

here is the essay that no one asked for because long for you is my fav hyunjin song and one of my all time favorite songs (it spoke to the yearner in me)

first the hauntingly beautiful melody 😭 as soon as i heard the whistles in the beginning i thought of the melancholic chirping of birds that feels like they’re calling out to someone who is far out of their reach, and it just sets the tone for this excruciating nostalgia throughout the song, for a time that has passed that we cannot go back to again.

at the beginning i thought this was about longing for a loved one but when hyunjin said that it’s about ‘missing your past that has lost its shine, and therefore longing for everything from back then’ the song just got more devastating for me, because (imo) this song is about longing for a past version of yourself that you lost and that you had to relinquish and that you never wished to part from, and hyunjin weaved this yearning for someone who technically doesn’t exist anymore so so well :,)

When was the last time we walked side by side

to me this could be about this kind of dichotomy that you feel within yourself when you can no longer recognize who you are and when you kind of lose sense of what you love and who you wish to be. And you no longer feel as if your past selves and your present ones are in harmony, walking side by side, but rather that your present self tries to go backwards to reach for your past self when the only possible trajectory for it is to go forward

In the faded photo, I come across a smile. Spread across a youthful face, overlapped with the seasons.

again with the longing for your past self, clinging to photos that have faded with how much time has passed and yet you still wish for the smile you had, long ago, to come once again. i relate to this so much because there was a time where i looked back to my old photos and i just missed how smiling came so easily to me back then instead of feeling like a chore. a smile that once withstood the changing seasons, but that is now a simple memory

The night’s so cold that it’s almost unreal. I wake up in another silence, and I close my eyes

hyunjin and the loneliness that only manifests at night :(( just like in cover me he manages to perfectly convey the cold and daunting feelings that come with being lonely,, also the act of waking up and closing your eyes right after, as if you wish to wake up in any reality but your own

OHHH this one had a little (huge) kick to it, this verse is just so poetic and so full of emotions im unwell :(( white often symbolizes purity and beginnings and its referencing to a time where your existence wasn’t tainted by anything, to the very beginnings when everything was well, back when you had enough will and happiness to care for something, to plant a flower. and now that flower has bloomed, but you do not dare to pick it because it is the last string tying you back to that time you longed for, so you leave it there, afraid that once you’d touch it then you’d soil it with everything that makes up your current self. but by doing so, the flower withers away, and i feel as if this last line plants a seed of hope, of light in a very melancholic song. that by longing for the past and forgetting the present all you do is harm the flower, harm yourself. that you shouldn’t forget your present self while reminiscing the one that faded away

THIS PARTTTTT!!!! this is The Part that gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes,,, hyunjin’s vocals throughout the song were so mellow, so soft, so tender to hear, yet so melancholic at the same time. but this part. THIS PART. this feels like floating atop the pool on a warm summer afternoon and you are hit by this wave of nostalgia for a moment that has yet to pass, because you know that you will miss this instant right here, and that you might comeback to this exact same pool next summer, and the one after it, but things would have inadvertently changed AND IT’S SOOOO 💔💔💔 especially the part where the music quiets down and all you can hear is his voice and then THE VIOLIN PICKS UP and it feels as if he’s tugging with my heartstrings and he’s harmonizing with himself and it’s all so HEART WRENCHING in the most beautiful way, like this is the embodiment of yearning.

i got carried away but as for the lyrics this part also makes me wanna cry and weep because it’s so full of hope?? of moving forth?? instead of longing for who you were and letting it hinder you, you long for who you were and behold it as a compass to love your present self, because past or future you are you, and if you loved who you were at one point of time, if you were at peace with who you once were then you can and you will love who you are now too. and i’m so 💔💔💔 also him harmonizing with himself ties it all together like the only person you got is yourself and it reminds me of THE PAINTING 😭😭😭😭😭😭

yes this isn’t over yet. the painting. The Painting. THE PAINTING. hyunjin hugging himself, burying his face in the crook of his neck i am too sensitive for this. i am no art expert but i am always at awe of the way hyunjin plays with colors and lighting and shadows, even if you aren’t well versed in paintings you can still feel the emotions hyunjin wants to portray and it’s all so.. special to me. all his works deserve to be hung in an art exposition

also i feel like this cover painting is the continuation of the one he shared some time ago, they look very alike and the color scheme resembles one another

i just love how hyunjin writes and produces and draws the covers of his songs like 🥹 i’d never tire of saying that he is the embodiment of art

the way bel found a family that actually loves him, despite how they may all act on the outside, while rasiel was met with individuals who would let him be eliminated for their ends in a heartbeat. say what you want about varia not caring for each other, they don't actually feel that way. they have each other's back in the end. xanxus is there to kill rasiel when bel couldn't. he did not do it for bel's sake, but he was actually there to follow up on the havoc rasiel was raining down. rasiel? rasiel had no one to fall back on. not a soul was going to help him against xanxus' wrath.

after being introduced to rasiel and having him reveal how much he belittled bel, how he was allegedly constantly rubbing in his face that he was better than him, it's beautiful karma to see bel not being alone anymore. he's not the 8 year old kid that had no one to rely on except himself. he has a family.

what's especially heart wrenching about knowing their backstory properly is that you find out why bel acts the way he does. suddenly, we are told that rasiel's treatment of him is the source of so much of what makes up bel as a person. it clicks. i still most often see people thinking of bel as conceited, but i really don't see that. not with the context of him looking completely blank when rasiel says that he was always better, no smile, no retort.

when bel lets down his guard with lussuria in the manga interview, he is extremely dismissive throughout. he is in no way excited to talk about himself. he even says that he doesn't want to stand out too much at the end section of one of the volumes where characters comment on fanart. this kind of humble comment doesn't exactly fit the way people around him tend to view his vanity. bel's desperation while fighting as soon as he bleeds also seems like...more than just flashbacks to that fateful night that he killed rasiel. it's like the inferiority complex he must have built up kicking in, he has to win, he has to get validation that he can win. he can't keep losing like he did repeatedly to rasiel in the past. again, i have to emphasize that rasiel says that bel was always worse than him and bel does not speak out. the one who everyone would see as egotistical does not say a word to defend himself. just silence. not even a hint of annoyance. this all sounds like i'm just taking things from canon and making a headcanon through that (which is fine), but then you realize that bel's only dislike listed on his "vongola 77" character page is himself. bel calling himself a genius & making his royalty a statement is sometimes simply just for mischief, a funny excuse he likes to throw around, and other times a cover. maybe a few times, he actually believes it. when he succeeds.

on the other hand, rasiel fully believes that he is better than everyone else. i have no doubt about that. even when bel won once, he still thinks bel is inferior. that bel is trash in comparison to himself. but in the end, he got destroyed by bel's boss who labels *him* trash. throwing that straight at his ego.

#lord knows xanxus has belief in his officers so he wasn't concerned about them when rasiel suddenly showed up #just like he acts unconcerned every time squalo 'dies' before the rainbow arc......that is how much faith he has in their skill #and that cool reaction is also an ideal way for him to simulate distance #probably can't get my hands on it anymore but...also thinking about the story from one of the light novels where bel needs a dentist #he runs away because he doesn't wanna go and then xanxus actually sends varia to get him if i remember correctly #jgksrjgkrsjkgjksr #a khr ramble??? we are back in 2014 #also not trying to say that i think rasiel is the scum of the earth here but he sure is a dick #i like his character regardless #i certainly would like to see more of how it was after the ’death’ for him #khr 0

god i had THE BEST TIME AT THE DENTIST TODAY and i feel completely unhinnnnngèd for saying that bc i never in a million years thought the dentist could be FUN but the hygienist was french and switched to french as soon as i mentioned that i had taken french and i understood almost everything he said to me and it felt so good!!! i never understand french!! things are paying off!!!! also i do super recommend this method of conversing in a language you are not super confident in, like it's not just a coincidence i had such a good time doing this at the dentist specifically, it was good precisely because there was very little pressure on me to talk and i could mostly just make yes/no/questioning noises and any time i wanted to say a sentence i could take my time with it because there were literally instruments in my mouth??? absolutely no pressure for me to say something just to say something it was heaven oh my god. i take back every joke i've ever made about dentist office conversational logistics. IDEAL MODE.

Is there a way to read all the comics in order? I have read a few out of order and love the characters but feel like I’m missing out

hellooo!! thank you so much for liking the characters and my stories!!! at the moment there's no set 'order' for any of my comics, whether they are for my various AUs or for starstruck's story

i've been meaning for months now to make a master post for my AUs, and as i've been working so much on starstruck's story lately (sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyy) i should probably also make one for her too. but as of right now, it's all just loose bits floating about my blog

that said, i think that the best "order" of the comics would likely always be in the order i released them. there is a clear chronological series of events in all my stories, but i definitely tend to release comics outside of that order

however, when i release a new piece- whether it's a comic, art piece, or even just text answer- i am keenly aware of exactly what i have revealed before, and what i'm revealing in each update. so while updates may not be in 'chronological order' of the story, they are in the order i hope will be satisfying for you as the reader, and an order that is satisfying for me to draw 😂

someone once pointed out that they felt most everything in my work (art, captions, tags) is incredibly intentional, and i was chuffed to see that, because i actually work quite hard to make sure it is 😂 i feel like this is a community that appreciates that sort of thing, so i've been endeavouring to make it an immersive experience for the folks who really wanna Go In on it? but if it ever gets pretentious or people genuinely hate it i'll obviously quit it omg;;

if you feel like something is not yet obvious or clear, there is quite a good chance it's not you missing out on something, but that it's intentionally being left vague to preserve some suspense! however if you ever want to check something like this and make sure i haven't revealed/answered something clearly somewhere, feel free to shoot me an ask and i can link you to any answers (if they exist)

until then, the current best way to find stuff 'in order' on my blog is by going through tags in chronological order. for starstruck in particular this is a little bit messy as there's also a lot of fanart or silly doodles that aren't Lore Related in her tag... maybe i should address that. it was all a bit sudden 😂

for now, the best i can really offer is a few of my tags with the chronological sorting feature added. let me know if this helps you find what you're looking for. otherwise like i said, always feel free to ask!

Oh babes dentist wise i actually had to be sedated, and they had to give me more than most for my size, and I still managed to have a panic attack and get sick half way through lmafo I hate the dentist but these guys were very nice and let me listen to true crime it wasn’t awful because of that. #i'm 26 coming on 27 and not had my wisdom teeth pulled and every year that passes by the thought of it freaks me out #main reason is because they never gave me issues or pain and anytime i saw a dentist they said it's likely i don't need them pulled #but as i get older it's like. is this the year they're going to start giving me problems?? should i have just bit the bullet and got them #out when i was younger despite them not giving me issues?? which in itself is terrifying because #everyone i know who's got the procedure talks about how awful it is and how much pain you're in for weeks afterwards and it's like hhhhhh #i'd rather not go through that much pain if i don't have to yknow? but also *do* i know if i don't have to? what if by the time i find out i #need to get them out it's too late? i've heard the procedure is more risky if you do it at an older age (though dont know how true this is) #like i think about this an irrational amount despite my wisdom teeth not affecting my life at all :') #but yeah...sorry for bein anxious outta the blue here; i don't post here much but it's still in a lot of ways where im most comfy Rambling

I think we have a cavity forming on yet another tooth but unfortunately it's been nearly a year and even just thinking about dentist appointments is enough to make us dissociate heavily and start getting painfully tense so I do not fucking know what to do.

I want to get this stuff fixed but we may have to go private for it which would be expensive as hell if we can even make it through an appointment and I'm terrified that whatever treatment we get might just cause more issues because that's what's happened every time we've had dental treatment in the last 5 years

I guess? that seems to be what happens #but I'm terrified that if I don't get them fixed they'll get infected (if they aren't already) and I don't know what to do #I'm in so much pain on a daily basis and I keep getting increasingly anxious about the teeth breaking or getting infected or whatever #and I want to maybe try and desensitise myself to some dentist related triggers maybe #but that'll take a long time with how bad those triggers are at the moment and in the meantime our teeth are still fucked

okay so solar's dead in cannon but yknow what guess what i will NOT be emotionally shattered by this i REFUSE to be emotionally shattered by this and so in response to this i need to properly explain my dentist au because honestly that one's just for the sake of fixing the show but uh

yea so solar does actually exist in the dentist au-he only shows up at Eclipse's place when he has to pick up or drop off Lunar cuz the others are too busy to do it. He and Eclipse are veeeery cold towards each other, something Lunar is trying to mend by showin up more and more at the place in hopes of Solar understanding the situation. This one time he drops lunar off and leaves and one of Eclipse's neighbors mistakes him for Eclipse- and ofc as all Eclipses do for some reason instead of actually explaining that he's not Eclipse and is i dunno his relative or smthn he pretends to be Eclipse. Which means he's now nodding along and pretending he knows why on earth they're associating him with a dentistry (when did Eclipse get a medical degree???) and it's from this that he learns that surprise surprise! Eclipse has somehow managed to get people to like him! And they're not even evil people either!

Anyways this gets Solar to basically go 'well if the old lady next door isn't fearing the active threat to her life and instead making it cookies then i guess it can't be ALL bad' and so he ends up being a little more respectful (barely so) and lets lunar go more often, seeing as he's completely okay with it.

Eclipse is pretty baffled by this entire thing, but he tries to maintain the cold persona-he wants to scare Solar off because he's secretly afraid that his neighbors and everyone else (Lunar especially, though he will never admit it) will like Solar more than him. He does eventually realize that the people he cares about aren't gonna just up and leave him and they manage to develop a better relationship. though it's still a little tense, it's not outright hostile, something lunar heavily appreciates.

(Also when Lunar isn't dropped off by Solar and doesn't stop by on his own accord, Earth takes him-which has resulted in strange interactions with his neighbors as well. She accidentally knocked on the wrong door and ended up making friends with Alma, the old lady next door, and her own opinion on Eclipse increased after hearing the lady go on about how sweet of a boy he is and how he's always offering to fix her pipes for her...when earth gets back to the daycare and moon and sun ask her about how it went, she tells them this-eclipse doesn't know how lucky he is that he hasn't seen moon yet or else this would be held over his head for all eternity.)
