A/N: as soon as I read the request, I thought of Rapunzel when in tangled she gets her hair done by the little girls lol

Price:

This man grew up with only brothers, but he was more of the kinder one, so when it came to you and your long hair, he watched tutorials on how to braid and care for hair.

It was new to him, he hadn't done this, like ever.

But, when he came home after a long and stressful day, he would go to you. Who was already in the couch waiting for him.

He couldn't talk, it was as if his voice had just given out. So what does he do? starts running his fingers through your hair.

Which calms both of you, he someway, somehow fell asleep. And it was definitely the best he's had so far.

So, this become a thing, you dont ask questions and neither does he.

All you do is wait by the couch or in bed and he drops everything and combs through your hair, slowly drifting into sleep.

I like to think he asks Kate and her wife on how to do a pony tail, and although he tries, he gets so frustrated, he ends up giving up.

Gaz:

I whole heartedly believe he grew up with sisters, with that said, he knows how to braid your hair.

I am talking a master at braids, when he isn't in the mood for too much, he brushes your hair, and when he just needs to relax in a warm bath, he drags you in and washes your hair.

There was one time where you were sick, and he knows that if you stay in bed for longer, you won't feel better, so...he washes your hair, putting all the right products in, massaging your scalp and overall being such husband material.

Lots of kisses for sure, he makes sure you get at least 10 kisses per day. And as he brushes your hair, he kisses your forehead.

He even asks his sisters what kind of oils he can use on your hair type to help it grow healthy and strong.

At times when he does come home super late and he is very tired, all he does is crawl into bed and cuddle you, but best believe he is brushing your hair slowly and delicately.

Like Price, it soothes him to brush your hair, makes him sleepy and all. Thats why when he cant sleep, he brushes your hair with his hands.

Soap:

This man also grew up in an all women household and I will not be told otherwise. So, when you and him start dating, and you let your hair down more often, he likes to sits down by the porch and to braids on you.

One time, mainly because his niece made him watch Tangled, he places flowers on your freshly done braid. He even took pictures of you, and best believe that picture is now carried everywhere he goes. I am talking wallet, vest pocket, phone wallpaper, and has drawn it on a lot of sketch books.

He also loves messing with you, and because you trust him so much with your hair, he gives you a literal unicorn horn, which makes you two cry so hard from laughing.

He also drew that in a sketch book. When his nieces are around, he brags on his skills. And to demonstrate he is good at doing hair, he makes you sit on a pillow on the floor as he does your hair.

Messy buns are a no at times, because he loves to see you in his hair dos.

There was one time where you were so drunk but it was the same day you had to wash your hair that he did it for you. There was a mess everywhere, but he did the job and there is definitely no complaining.

Ghost:

This man is awkward and sometimes weirded out by physical touch, so to make you feel better he started to follow influencers that taught him about the importance of hair care.

He tries so hard at times, but it's the intention that matters. One night, while you were sad, brushed your hair and hummed a tune.

And slowly he realizes this could be his way of showing his affection towards you, so he does it everyday now.

When you wake up, there he is , waiting to comb your hair. At night after a shower, he is waiting by the bed to comb your hair and listen to what you did all day.

After deployments when he comes tired, he lays on the couch and you lay on top of him, he, like price and gaz, falls asleep as he combs through your hair.

Your hair at times is untamable, which bothers him, but it teaches him patience, so he goes for the long run and slowly but surely does your hair justice.

At times when you two, have rough sex, he gets mad at himself for making your hair a mess. But not to worry, that one of his ways of aftercare is to comb your hair.

König:

We all know this man is a gentle giant, it's a fact at this point. Anyways, his love language is physical contact, so when there are days you don't feel like hugging or just being touched in the slightest by him (rarely happens im sure) he combs your hair.

I also like to believe he is the only child, so like the golden retriever energy kind of man he is, he adores when he can do other activities with you, like your hair.

Before him, it was a mess, you'd wake up, comb it and give yourself split ends and now, it's so smooth and nice and puffy, it's just so perfect.

I know for sure at night when he can't sleep he is watching YouTube tutorials for different kinds of hairstyles.

One time he ran out of hair gel because for a whole week all he did was try weird and definitely funny hair do's.

Best believe like Ghost, after a night of fun, his form of aftercare includes him coming your hair.

He reads on how braiding your hair can help it grow, so, everynight since he braids your hair and makes sure it's not pulling your hair, just so you can get a nights rest.

If you use a bonnet, this man will literally learn why that is and also ask around with his female comrades.

I feel the burning air whipping my cheeks, as I watch the flames, tall and straight as pine trees, engulf the building.

I feel how two tears slowly slide down my cheek, cold in comparison to the heat emanating from the fire and hitting my body.

Not 6 hours ago I was inside this building, not 6 hours ago since it was a proud little fire station.

I had just finished my service, and as I was taking off my heavy firefighter's uniform, which I kept in my locker, I was called by my boss.

"Sofia, we need to talk," she said in the monotone voice she reserved for his employees, cold and without any compassion. As soon as those words left her lips, my heart froze.

I followed her with a heavy heart to the door of her office, where, once seated in one of the uncomfortable and worn chairs in front of her desk, she dropped the news.

"Sofia" I hated the way she said it, always getting stuck on the 'f', as if my name was the devil's own name that made her precious holly mouth choke "you're fired."

"What?!" I said, getting up from my chair and placing both hands firmly on the desk. I watched as a hint of a smile danced in her gray eyes, while her mouth remained a thin straight line.

"Fired. Pack your things and I want you out now."

"B-but- " I stammered "why?" I noticed the distressed tone in my voice.

"You are not longer needed in this company" she said calmly, looking at me with superiority, analyzing my reactions with her viper eyes "besides, your behavior is.... well, you're a very smart girl, I'm sure you understand me " She emphasized 'smart'.

"No no nonono" I said in anguish "you can't ... you can't do this to me! This job is everything to me, and you know it" I hated myself at that moment for begging, humiliating myself in front of my boss, that .... that being that I hated "Surely there is something- something we can ...you can't do this to me!"

"Yes, I can" I noticed the amused tone in her voice. She had always wanted to fire me, and had finally found the opportunity to do so. "And watch me do it. You're. Fired."

Tears welled up in my eyes as I furiously turned my back on her. With my head held high, I walked out of her office. Once outside, I ran and ran, and when I got home I threw myself on my bed. That's when I allowed myself to let my tears flow.

I shouldn't have been fired.

Six hours later I received a call from a colleague.

The office had gone up in flames.

How ironic. The fire station is on fire. I ran there, where I am now, staring helplessly into the flames, already as high as the surrounding buildings.

What had started with two tears is now a river of them flowing from my eyes. I close them and take a deep breath. It smells of smoke and ashes.

I absentmindedly reach into my pocket as I continue to stare at the flames, and feel a small cardboard box, filled with small wooden sticks. A box of matches

Yes.

I definitely shouldn't have been fired.

Oh yea new theme!! What I had in mind was along the theme of the dingy halls of beauty and the beast (yk i od'ed over disney movies this week) but then that backfired and it looked depressing so I decided to go with the light theme ; yk when the castle transforms to white marble and the old and cracked one that the beast was living in disappears? Istg when the prince came; such a disappointment cause I really liked the beast ʕノᴥヾʔ

The artwork i used is of awanqi's; and they're one of my fav artists; my phone's wallpaper was set to that and one of my fav pieces was of eros and pyshce (cupid and psyche) and the colors were just- ah. *speechless*

I might change the theme again though (i was thinking of setting it to haikyuu or csm or something? idk i'll have to see how it pans out)

What's your process for finding connections to make the story flow between the impactful scenes. I'm trying to write and the big exciting scenes are fine and have been written but the scenes in-between feel like trying to walk through cement to get it done. Also my whole reasoning of I am so busy and have no time have stopped being true so it's just me like... Oh no writing.

Also do you find it easier to write long or short chapter or does it not really matter? Like if the story was always going to contain let's say 100k words but the chapters were off different lengths.

Also I've wondered for a while, you know the Yellow House. Why is it yellow? Like why not Blue, Red or Purple? Yellow is my fav colour so not complaining just a small detail for some reasons I'm fixated one.

The little scenes all help move the characters to the big scenes. So, what is it that the characters could do to help them move forward? Like if the characters are sleeping, provide a nightmare sequence that shows a subconscious fear. And dinner/meal scenes are a great time to build up character dynamics. Even just character building in the in between scenes. What’s character wears when staying at home alone says a lot about who they are. Just think as the in-between scenes as stepping stones to the bigger picture

Some chapters are short but some are long. Generally, the shouldn’t exceed five or six thousand words. It all depends on the pace for me, sometimes I have a lot to say for a chapter, some not so much. Usually they end up around 3-4,000 words.

The yellow house, so I love yellow houses as well. I think they are incredibly cheery and bright. I lived in a butter yellow house for a bit as a teen (light yellow has been my fav color since I was able to speak) however, that was not the inspiration for the yellow house in Welcome Home. The house is yellow because of the short story “The Yellow Wallpaper” about a woman being held in captivity and losing her mind
