hi and welcome to my ted talk about the latest episodes of what if, please read through 💙(2)

The children of Odin are clearly better off without him. I mean, look at her!! (she actually reminds me of a Valkrie at a first look 🤔)

"You cannot defend darkness with darkness. Only light." AND SHE DIDDD. I JUST LOVE HOW BADASS SHE WAS THIS EPISODE.

In this universe, Hela is not the godess of death anymore, because she doesn't value the same ideas she used to before learning the light part of life. But I wonder, since it hasn't been said in the episode, what is she the godess of now? Maybe she kept the death part, but took on life too. The godess of life and death. It comes full circle. Or perhaps, the Godess of Hope. Because, even though death comes to all, you can have hope in life.

And oh, the end. Of course that for an animated series that doesn't go a lot over 30 min/ episode, you're gonna have an open end.

Which is why I love it! Not only the path Hela undergoes, along with her transformation, is crazy and probably doesn't happen a lot of the time, but it also has huge consequences. It is very likely that in this universe, her and her team prevented the rise of Thanos, citting him from his roots. Let's raise a glass or two for s time where the avengers are alive, and Thor and Loki grow up closer together, not apart. 😌

Very important!!!☝🏻 everyone say thank you to Cate Blanchett for her service in voicing Hela once again, it wouldn't have been the same without her.

honestly, despite my sadness as a Starmora fan, Peter & the alternate Gamora not ending up together was the best thing that could’ve happened.

Original Gamora just happened to fall in love because of the experiences she went through; it became part of her growth and healing. But it didn’t have to be, which alternate Gamora reflects. She doesn’t NEED a romance to build a new fulfilling life free from her abuser. Look at her joy with the Ravagers. She’s got a family. She’s got a support system. She’s got a new home. Everything she deserves after what Thanos put her through.

And as for Peter, you can’t just replace your true love. A variant is still not the one who experienced what you experienced with your true love. Even in the multiverse, soulmates are soulmates. Not even a variant can duplicate what two unique souls share in one unique timeline. Wanda learned the same lesson; not even her own fantasy recreation of Vision could fully replace the real Vision with whom she shared the experiences that led to the growth of their love.

Shantae & Yuze: Search for a Hero! (closed RP with astral-multiverse)

While out traveling with her knight companion, Yuze accidentally stumbled upon a strange portal that opened in the sky. In mere moments, the two of them were sucked in and were transported into a different world. The portal spits Yuze out in the edge of a town, leaving her unconscious. When she finally wakes up, she notices that she's inside some sort of old lighthouse. "Huh? Where am I?" She steps out of the hammock that she was laying on and looks around again, suddenly realizing something important. "Partner? ...Oh no! Where's my partner?!" She thinks back to the last time they were together and recalls the portal. "Did that portal thing separate us? In that case, I have to find him!" Yuze was about to rush out the door until she bumps into someone who was walking in. "Oow. S-Sorry, I didn't see you there. Are you okay?" Yuze asks as she picks herself up.

Dear Update Uncertain,

Fear not, nothing has happened to me! I have just been somewhat preoccupied with my duties as Guardian of Space and Time. The Shroud placed over the multiverse by my brother has lifted in places, and interdimensional travel is once more becoming something of a common occurrence. My work is never finished.

It seems that the legacy of Nexus Prime may soon be undone altogether: as worlds and creatures collide, Transformers from many different universes are being united in conflict with one another. It is my responsibility to smooth over discontinuities wherever they arise, and monitor the evolution of each timeline as the key players vanish. Furthermore, it seems that many entities from the wider megaverse have begun to bridge the divide to our local realities. Where they encounter my kind, these liaisons are usually collaborative in nature… but one particularly-devastating incursion has had grave repercussions for multiple universes, and I have been devoting a great deal of attention to the interdimensional relief effort. Also, I was recently invited by Safeguard and Bud to join them on a special episode of their podcast—I don't normally listen to podcasts, but when they asked my help in tracking down a counterfactual final season of Galactic Guardians, from an alternate timeline where it wasn't prematurely canceled… well, as you might gather, I'm never one to refuse a call for aid!

All of this is to express my deepest regret that I haven't had much time for correspondence lately. It breaks my heart that I cannot answer all of your questions, but rest assured, I read every one, and will answer as many as I can before my obligations draw me away once more. If my absence leads you to worry that I have suffered some terrible fate, then fret not… I'll always return to you before too long.

Has news of these developments in the multiverse reached you by other means? Are there any particular individuals whose whereabouts you wish to enquire after? Ask away, and I shall try to put your mind at ease!

I think it's time we all admit that What if?...Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead Of His Hands? has been the only genuinely interesting and well done episode of the show so far.

High stakes, good pacing, phenomenal animation, and a story that actually deviates from the original in a meaningful way. It actually feels like such a small change lead to a vastly different reality.

I think what makes a What If? story interesting is the ties it has to the main timeline; if you want to showcase how a small choice can utterly change a whole universe, then you have to start in a universe that is comparably the same as what we already know, and show how one character choosing one different option can be catastrophic. Otherwise, you aren't really exploring branching timelines/butterfly effect, you're just looking at unrelated universes.

Even then, not every idea is interesting enough to warrant spending so much time on it. *ahem* captain carter *cough*.

Strange Supreme's appearances are just so fascinating because we get to see the new highs and lows a character can reach when their hearts are in a slightly different place. We get our unique factor in the form of him being genuinely in love with Christine instead of his job, and then our diverging path with him choosing to seek out dangerous knowledge, a choice which is highlighted by showcasing what would have happened if he hadn't done so! In the end, the universe is fundamentally changed, completely collapsed around him, despite starting off so normal. And that's not even the end of it!

He shows up in more episodes because of the power and knowledge he has attained, and as a lesson to the Watcher that choosing to sit out is only selfishness in the face of a danger that is ready and willing to take advantage of your compliance. It is genuinely fun to see the power he has in action; Ultron tried to blow up the universe in the finale, and Strange DEVOURED THE EXPLOSION. Like, that's fucking awesome!

And then there's Carter... Whose reason for being everwhere is just "I'm Captain Carter!" How dull...

Anyways, Strange supreme is goated and I will have no sass.
