I just dreamt i was in twisted wonderland and as yuu and i kept thinking to myself "this would make a great horror rpg... like IB!" And at first the cast was like uh cool and then i kept thinking/ saying that so much throughout the story (pretty much just the prologue and part of book 1) that they treated me like a grandpa in a retirement home saying "It sure would make a good horror rpg. Now lets get you to bed." Then Jade started popping up out of nowhere every now and then like peeking out of bushes or 'randomly' passing by.

I believe that Jonathan actually sensed Dracula among the large, busy Picaddily crowd. And it may be because Jonathan got marked and drunk on by Dracula.

Jonathan sensed him stalking a new victim, but not the other way around. Dracula was too focused on his new target (something that Jonathan also does when he has a set goal) to notice him staring, or Mina (whom Dracula saw often at Whitby).

I also think that this isn't the first time Jonathan has sensed Dracula.

On August 11 night, Dracula attacks Lucy (and he sees Mina, and Mina him) for the first time.

On August 12, Jonathan has now broken his six-week delirium-induced silence, has remembered where "home" is (he couldn't remember where it was since he had arrived in Kalusenberg weeks ago), and sends word to Mina from the Budapest hospital.

And now Jonathan, who only saw Dracula as an old man, and right at the end as a middle-aged man, recognizes the young-looking Count instantly.

He looks several decades younger, dressed differently in a London outfit, but Jonathan still has no doubt. It's him. The man himself.

And he's targeting a new person because of Jonathan's visit. Like when he had stolen Jonathan's clothes. "If only I knew..."

#Also on September 17 #Lucy is attacked for a final night. Mina reports that day that Jonathan even now at times wakes up at night violently trembling #full of vague fear until she can calm him down. We don't know for how many nights this has happened #but we know that Lucy got bitten at least ten times. Sparty started her Christmas Crisis early this year, and hasn't kept food down for almost 48hrs.

She seemed good today - until 16:30 when the vet's office closed and she ejected four hour old boiled chicken under my workbench :)

#otherwise she seems fine - no fever and not lethargic apart from discomfort and tiredness #for the past two nights shes been waking us up every 3hrs :)) but less in the daytime #so we'll see #holding back solids tonight and sticking to broth and maybe a teaspoon of yoghurt which she usually handles well #just to get something into her #shes not super lean rn but last time she had a stomach bug it lasted a week and digestive kibble made her MUCH worse #if she gets worse im calling the vet in the morning #but im not optimistic on that either bc i know step 1 is 'you have to give her a week on this prescription food her stomach is NOT used to'

Yeah, aside from it being an easy gag the whole "robot gets sexual satisfaction from being piloted" thing was also kinda genius in for once forcing some compassion from the viewer towards the "get in the fucking robot" situation - that an average mecha nerd has been desensitized to since early 80s - by highlighting the parallels between rape and the way that forcing someone to pilot a war machine takes away their bodily autonomy.

Truly a fascinating narrative decision. Let's never, never-never, never fucking ever, do that again!
