This is my list of a potential candidates I would like to see in a Teen Titans team:

Crush, daughter of Lobo. Half alien half human, full chaotic.

Tefé Holland, daughter of Swamp Thing. Super powerful super teen angst.

Anita Fite/Empress (I just need her to return somewhere in DC)

Harper Row/Blue Bird. Much more original bat choice than adding the same Robin or Batgirl again.

Galaxy, an alien superhero. She's such a cool character I hope she'll get more explored.

Alysia Yeoh/Batgirl. (She was originally supposed to be Batgirl. DC I beg you to go back to that storyline and make it happen).

Connor Hawk/Green Arrow. I think he would make a great team leader.

Static Shock (no actual reason I just think it would be cool to see him).

The Aerie. I know the wiki considers them terrorist but they are just an extremist activist. Yes they kill people but they mostly fight currapt politicians and bad people. They are so cool and I think they would get along well in a team.

(and Bette Kane might be a nice touch to add as well, same reason as Anita).

Edit: forgot Xanthe, a nonbinary magician (sort of). I definitely want them on the team as well! They're so cool.

Unconventiona list? Yes. Am I completely delirious and daydreaming? Absolutely. But this are my top choices of characters I think would be interesting to see in a Teen Titans team.

DC please give them more comics I am dying here.

Hot on the Heels of the Nightwing 2022 Annual Reveal of Heartless, It's Time to Gather all the Seeds in Son of Kal-El!!

Without spoiling the annual, the identity of Heartless was seeded in Nightwing #78, Tom's first issue on the run. I've already written an essay attempting to prove something is going to drop and bring Jon back to being a kid that is no longer entirely accurate to what I feel is coming, but just for posterity, here's a list of things that could be referencing other bits of information throughout the run.

Superman: Son of Kal-El #1, Jon is born in the Fortress of Solitude

Action Comics #976 (Superman Reborn), Jonathan Samuel Kent is born in the Fortress of Solitude

Superboy (2011) #19 , Jonathan Lane Kent born in the Fortress of Solitude

2. Superman Son of Kal-El #2, Jon's new identity Finn Conners where Jon puts on a bad blonde wig. "Finn" is an Irish name meaning "fair." Connors is also Irish.

Teen Titans (2011) #23, Cassie asks to call Kon "Conner" before going in for a kiss

3. Superman Son of Kal-El #2, no parties with Damian at the Fortress.

Superman & Robin Special, a party with Damian at the Fortress. Jon and Damian beat up Nazis. They also find an alien who rapidly ages before dividing and leaving.

Legion of Super-Heroes (2019) #3, Damian is rumored to become akin to Adolf Hitler.

Shadow War Omega, Damian: "Heroes don't kill!"

What of the aging alien?

4. Superman, Son of Kal-El #4, Jon reminisces about visiting his grandparents as a toddler. As far as we were shown in Superman and Action Comics during Rebirth, this never happened.

Doomsday Clock #12 (Dec '19), Jon and Martha Kent are reintroduced despite not being present since Flashpoint. Jon is not present for this story aside from a single mention in an earlier issue. This combined with Superman Reborn could explain the panels in SoKE, but that's kinda lame if you ask me especially if they were really about to push Jon into the role of Superman soon after this.

Superboy (2011) #19, Jon Lane Kent falls deathly ill just before the age of 4. Notice the choice of white is consistent between this panel and the ones in SoKE. Also notice the farmhouse in the background. Is this what Jon is remembering?

5. Superman Son of Kal-El #4, backstories of The Aerie and Wink retconned to have been caused by Bendix

Suicide Squad (2019) #8, The Aerie reveals their backstory and The Post-Human Project to be a faceless evil. This change in SoKE #4 causes Jay and Aerie to share more than a few similarities, and they share a creator. Both runs were written by Tom Taylor.

Superman Son of Kal-El #6, Jay was Gamorran First Family

Suicide Squad (2019) #10, The Aerie’s mother is a deposed president as well

Superman (2018) #6, Jon returns to Earth 7 years older after 5 years of abuse and only 3 weeks have passed

Action Comics Annual #12, Chris Kent ages rapidly in the Phantom Zone. Note how these text boxes describe a similar description to what happened to Jon in that Earth-3 volcano.

Tom Taylor has also commented on famously poorly-received storylines in Son of Kal-El and Nightwing, namely Event Leviathan and both Devin Grayson and Scott Lobdell's runs on Nightwing.

6. Superman Son of Kal-El #5, the kiss

Teen Titans (2014) #12, Kon 2 says goodbye to Tim and WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?

7. Nightwing #89/SoKE #9, Jon flies at age 9 and gets lost in a flashback. Dick in his N52 suit.

Superman (2016) #8 & 9, Jonathan Samuel Kent can't fly at age 10.

Super Sons #10, Jon masters flight

Superman #668, Chris Kent fully capable of flight in his early appearances

8. Superman Son of Kal-El #12, Henry Bendix calls Jon an "abomination" for the first time

Superboy (2011) #6, Kara gives the Superboy the name Kon-El, which translates from Kryptonese as "Abomination in the House of El"

Superboy (2011) #33, Kon 2 is reborn in the mind of Jon Lane after dying in the Superman event Krypton Returns just months before this was published.

Either of these last two issues could also explain how Kon 2 would have the memories of Jon Lane Kent or the memories of the people the psychic (and psychotic) Jon would have been in contact with. Kon 2 is shown images of Krypton as Kara remembers them through touch in Superboy #6 as well as learning to speak and understand Kryptonese.

Thoughts: Not a teen or sidekick team. Like Tom Taylor’s Suicide Squad and Superman: Son of Kal-El, I’d like to read about a group of young adults crossing borders and performing espionage with a dash of light freedom fighting along the way.

The Aerie and Wink have a lot of meta-human trafficking story beats worth exploring, and

I think Tim Drake is well suited for a globetrotting spy adventure. I’d like to see Tim and

Natasha Irons interact and geek out over superhero support tech. Naturally, Nat has a thing or two to teach Tim.

Isaiah Crockett and the rest of Teen Titans Vol. 2 have these unaddressed ties to extraterrestrial stories just waiting for weird exploitation.

Bart Allen deserves to grow up on his own terms.

And lastly, Tula Marius got the fridge treatment in the 80s, so I’d like for other readers to meet her outside of that context and outside of the Aquaman book. Maybe rework her key story beats in a way that doesn’t victimize her; similar to how Young Justice (tv series) has handled Terra and Oracle.

DC characters I think Battinson!Bruce would get along with:

Huntress(Helena Bertineli): Yes she kills people, but she’s compassionate and he appreciates that. He kindly asks her to tune down the murdering and she did, so know she has a room at the manor and is invited to all festivities.

Koriand’r(Starfire): Battinson ain’t no xenophobe! He here’s about how this CHILD escaped all that horrible stuff and immediately cares deeply. She is also “friends” with his kid so he can’t adopt her but she is invited every year for the Holidays-along with any other Titan who can’t go home-because no kid is alone if he can help it. Kori probably messes something up and thinks she ruined Christmas and he’s just like “I don’t celebrate this, its fine.” He’s just glad that she isn’t worried. she’s also his favorite in-law

Martian Manhunter(J’ohn J’onzz): J’ohn doesn’t judge Bruce for being socially inept and awkward, and they can talk about the mission without talking about their personal lives because J’ohn doesn’t pry. Its because of this that Bruce actually does open up to J’ohn.

Aquaman(Arthur Curry): Look, Arthur is super laid back and relatively upbeat but he isn’t to upbeat and doesn’t get in the way. His laid backness is also contagious, as everyone in the JL knows, so Bruce untenses a little. Aquaman does ask personal questions but he isn’t judgemental, when Bruce responds that his relationship with Selina is “complicated.” Arthur just nods his head and says that “Its like that, but you’ll be alright.” Its better than everyone else trying to fix his relationships.

Artemis Grace/Bana-Mighdall: She does not give a shit, but is knowledgeable, caring, and a good conversationalist(she is shut up) yeah its awkward because of the murder but she’s an Amazonian and that’s not his business, and when she’s in Gotham she holds it back. He’s happy for Jason.

Wink: Battinson understands that fighting fascism requires extreme methods, so yeah some people died. His real concern and the reason he is hitting a table is WHY ON GOD’S GREEN EARTH DID THESE CHILDREN PUT THEMSELFS IN SO MUCH DANGER!!!! But he can’t help but admire it. Also they all need to go to a hospital, and by the time that is done this hyperactive child has in depth explained the Percy Jackson trilogy and asked several times if he has any pets. As much as he doesn’t what to admit it his real cause for concern is that they are so similar, and that worries him. And someone needs to protect her, she doesn’t deserve to fight like this but she will, just like Dick did. And yes she stole his car but Jason did that and Jason is a good kid. Besides he should really check in on the revs, they still haven’t bought vegetables, and before he knows it the adoption paperwork has been filed, Selina gave them another cat for the ship, and The Aerie has received the most terrifying shovel talk of their lives.

Stephanie Brown(Spoiler): How can he not love this kid??? She really became a vigilante on her own because of her dad’s actions!?!?! Tim really get his relationship in order or else he will have a new sister. Doesn’t help that Steph reminds him of Jason, more of a reason to keep an eye on her, just in case you know, he can’t fail again...

Flatline(Nika): Goth recognize Goth, and this girl has the vibes. The murder is bad, but he’s confident she can do less, Damian is probably a good influence. And besides maybe she can teach Damian some things. Talia may not approve but he does.

Made it all the way down to portal level!

At this point I’m mostly doing things like running around finding walls that are in the wrong variant and fixing them, or buildings where I missed sticking up some wall lights. Debating whether or not to add a last few buildings; still want to utilize the slope at the back of the top area, for one. I’m also looking at the buildings up on stilts to the right of the landing pad (which I’ve dropped down lower again) and am thinking of maybe adding another building or two in that area. Also maybe three or four of them wrapping around the curve in the cliff face at bottom left.
