after finally having the guts to confess his feeling to you, miles felt like he was on cloud 9. your smile sent him to heaven every time. his sketchbook was filled with you. and my parents caught on quickly.

mrs. morales shot a picture at every given moment, despite miles’ groaning and whining every time.

he didn’t want to be anywhere you weren’t.

“miles,” you whined “let go. my dad is gonna kill me if i’m not home soon.”

“he’ll have to kill me too then.” he mumbles in your neck, his hushed breath tickling you. you giggle, “he wouldn’t hesitate. “just ask him to stay over. it’s a weekend.”

“he doesn’t trust you enough.” you lose the motivation to escape his grip, making him smile. “jerkface.” you murmured.

soon, your heavy lids closed, lulling you to sleep.

during the night, your phone blew up. messages, missed calls and voicemails from your father. “shit!” you fall out of miles’ grip, face planting on the floor, making you groan.

before you could make it out of his room, his voice stops you.

“baby? ¿a dónde vas? son como las 2 de la mañana.”

“too late for me to be here.” he groans at the realization.

“just tell him it’s my fault.” “that won’t end well for both of us.” you softly laugh, making him smile. “i’ll see you at school, mijo.” you peck his lips, but he wanted more. he didn’t want you to leave, not yet. he stood up as you backed away, deepening the kiss.

your lips were still attached to his as your hand held the doorknob. “miles.” you giggle, pulling away. “come on. i thought it would work.” he pouts. “maybe another day. not just this one.” you peck his cheek this time, leaving his house.

you didn’t hear the last of it from your father. he scolded you as soon as you opened the front door.

finally making it to your room, you changed your clothes into your night ones. before you fell asleep again, you texted miles goodnight.

you clicked your phone, quickly falling asleep.

3 months later

miles came running through your house, frantically looking for you. once he hit your room, he shut the door and locked it before exhaling a deep breath. “miles? honey, what’s wrong?” you raise a brow at him. “my whole day has been weird. i’m able to walk on walls, ceilings. i’m extra strong. like spiderman.” you huff, “it’s a little to early to be making jokes about him.” you remind him about his death. “i was there when it happened.”

you press your lips into a thin line, forcing yourself to believe him. “okay, i believe you.” “then this…guy…that looked like peter but fatter walked up to me and i shocked him. we had to swing around new york to escape the cops.”

you laugh. “that’s one hell-of-va dream you had.” you twist your chair back to your desk. “you gotta believe me. no one else did.” “what are you talking about?” you thought he was going crazy because of his uncle’s recent death.

“the other spidermen or women webbed me to a chair to go fight king pin. all because i couldn’t disappear on command.” he huffs. “do it.” “huh?” “do it right now.” his face grows upset. “don’t do it too.” you walk to him, taking his hands into yours. “calm your body, think of something that calms you and center yourself.” he closes his eyes, taking a deep breath.

before you knew it, miles’ body was disappearing in front of you. but you could still feel him. “holy shit. you did it!” miles’ reappears in front of you. “i did?” “well now you didn’t.” you giggle.

1 year later

for a year now, your boyfriend has been the one and only spiderman. and you (and ganke) have been his wingman and the only person that knows his secret identity.

and today was his father’s promotion party, hosted on his rooftop.

but you haven’t seen him since he’s dropped off the cake for his dad.

“mrs. morales, have you seen miles?” “i grounded him for his attitude. he’s been so rude and clos-” in the middle of her rant, your eyes drifted over to miles…and another girl?!

why was he so close to her? why was he nervous? why haven’t you seen him before? and why…did he just kiss her?

a tear rolls down your cheek, which didn’t go unnoticed by rio. “¿bebé? ¿por qué lloras?” her eyes move to your line of sight, immediately gasping. “honey, i am so-” before she could finish her apology, you left the rooftop, heartbroken.

the urge to burn everything of his was eating you to death. the letters of lies he wrote you. the drawings he gave you. the hoodies. everything.

a knock disrupts your haze. it was miles. “hey, my mom told me to check on you. you left the party early.” your mouth opened to spew the hateful words accumulating your mind but nothing came out except, “we’re over.” “what…?” he leaned back, baffled. “i saw you. with that girl. you kissed her. you were obviously in love with her so be with her.” he blinks in realization. “i didn’t-” “go!” you slammed the door in his face, sliding down it.

hot tears streamed down your face as you hyperventilated.

how could be do this to you? after everything you’ve been through? the things you’ve done for him. you were there when his uncle died.

I just now watched episodes 6 and 7 (I held off because I was nervous about the effect they'd have on me (turns out that was justified)).

This show is going to kill me! Send help!! ☠️

Got to share my thoughts here (for therapy).

Calypso's birthday was all my dreams come true. I thought they'd never in a million years do a musical episode - then Con O'Neill took one look at the drag makeup and said "hold my pride flag". 🏳️‍🌈 What a voice!

Ed leaping immediately to protect Stede is the most beautiful shot of the series for me, I will never recover.

The way Stede shoves Ed so roughly against the wall but then they just melt into each other, so full of love and gentleness, made me cry 😢

Ed making breakfast and panicking and putting unnecessary twine on the tray to make it nice enough for Stede is the most wholesome, Ed thing to do. 🥰

I love that Stede's immediate response to Ed telling him about the mermaid is "how'd I look?" 😆

Izzy waking them up with a line about docking was literal fanfiction 😂😂

And then Ed left and I think I stopped breathing properly.

I just love how they're both growing into truer versions of themselves and it's messy and hard and they're feeling their way in the dark (not a euphemism), but I wish they could do that together and talk to each other. They are utterly devoted to each other: isn't there a world where Ed can retire and catch fish and chill on Stede's pirate ship as he polite-menaces his way around the carribbean until they're both ready to open an inn?

I'm just now realising they're both triggered by seeing the elements of themselves that they're ashamed of in each other. Ed is ashamed of killing and hates his fame, and is upset when Stede embraces those parts of him. Stede has always been shamed as a coward for being sensitive or afraid, so lashes out and calls Ed a coward when he leaves.

I am scared of next week because what if they end up separated? How do we endure the heartbreak?

How am I supposed to go about my life until then when my heart is on the Revenge?? 💔

Ah, it is crying hours for me tonight as I am now rereading Chu Wanning's death scene(s). As if the one after the Heavenly Rift was not bad enough, we finally got the details on his death in the 0.5 timeline and... yeah 😢

But I did have one moment of clarity. This part always confused me:

The word "reminiscence" that was used both here and in the unofficial translation kind of conjures up for me the image two people having a long, friendly talk, possibly over drinks, about their shared memories. And I just couldn't imagine 0.5 Taxian-jun and Xue Meng having a friendly get-together where they would "reminiscence" ever again. Nor could I imagine that Chu Wanning harboured any hope of a reconciliation between them, because Mo Ran had, at this point already slaughtered so many people, including Xue Zhengyong, Madam Wang and the entirety of Sisheng Peak.

However, it occurred to me that what Chu Wanning actually meant would be more along the lines of "remember" or "recall". At this point, Chu Wanning knows about the flower curse. He knows it has wiped Mo Ran's good memories, but he still clings to hope that Mo Ran will somehow eventually snap out of it, maybe break the curse of his own volition, at which point he would want to remember his past and have to ask somebody who knew him when he was young.

Chu Wanning keeps telling Mo Ran to wake up, and in retrospect, he obviously means "wake up" from the spell:

Chu Wanning summoning Jiuge without his spiritual core makes it clear that in spite of being crippled and imprisoned, Chu Wanning still had options to either kill himself or kill Taxian-jun. Yet he chose to live on, even in this state of suffering. Yes, his primary motivation for giving himself to Taxian-jun in the first place was to protect Xue Meng and to maybe mitigate as much damage as he possibly could. But he also loved Mo Ran, he loved him so much and felt such guilt for not protecting him from this evil. Later on in the book, there is that part where Chu Wanning considers killing him and finds the idea unthinkable. Because, let's be real, if Chu Wanning had been motivated enough to kill Taxian-jun, he would have figured out a way. He figured out how to create a rift in time and space with no spiritual core in order to save him. If he had ever seriously wanted Taxian-jun dead, Taxian-jun would have died. But Chu Wanning loved him and held on to hope that he could bring him back. Even his last words to Mo Ran were about forgiving himself.

He says this as he lies there dying:

Later on in the book, when Chu Wanning 0.5 merges with 2.0, we get that flashback where he likens himself to a torch burning itself out to light the way for Mo Ran to return home eventually and worries about what will happen if he burns out before he turns back. The idea of Mo Ran being forever lost in the dark torments him.

Also, the only reason he chose to die at that point in the 0.5 timeline is because of a desperate hope that his death might snap Mo Ran out of his madness, which even works, in a way. Mo Ran does try to turn back. He desperately seeks someone who can tell him what he was like before because he can no longer remember, but at that point, there is nobody left. This is exactly what Chu Wanning was afraid of, which was why he implored him not to kill Xue Meng. Because after he himself was gone (and he knew that this last escapade with Jiuge was a suicide mission), Xue Meng would be the only person left alive who had known Mo Ran before the flower ate up his mind.

There is no turning back for Mo Ran in the 0.5 timeline and when he realizes this, he decides to end his life.

(A tiny thing that proved me half-wrong, though, is that Taxian-jun and Xue Meng did eventually sit down and reminiscence in the extras! But, again, only half-wrong, because that was not Taxian-jun's Xue Meng. His Xue Meng died in that flood and they never reconciled, so 😢)

“You can’t leave. You won’t leave me.”

“Goddammit! You don’t get to tell me what to do, not anymore!”

You threw armfuls of clothing, odds and ends and mismatched shoes into your suitcase, not caring what got jumbled or squashed or torn. He could burn the rest for all you cared, whatever you left behind. It would all be his to deal with, whether he wanted to set it on fire or or preserve it in perpetuity, an unchanging shrine to the woman he loved (past tense, you were certain of it).

He sprung up from his seat on the bed and began pacing, running his hands through his hair, scrunching and scraping his fingernails through those chestnut almost-curls that you loved so much.

You wanted to give in but you couldn’t, even though your strongest impulse was to sink down onto the plush lavender rug at the foot of the bed that you had picked out together, in the apartment that had been his for so long before he asked you to move in. The memory of that golden summer day stung the back of your throat, pushed more tears to the surface, caused you to ugly-sniff and choke on your own snot.

You clenched your jaw and shook the memory free from your head, looking around wildly for the rest of your possessions. Hairbrush. Books. Jewelry.

He was suddenly at your side, his large hand wrapped around your wrist with the most gentle of grasps. Not squeezing, not painful, not punitive… but not letting go, either. Not giving in, not letting you succumb to your hasty decision to leave.

You were stubborn, that much he knew, and you hated yourself for it. When you got this way, when the monster you’d fought all your life took hold, you wanted to let him take control instead, wrap his arms around you and soothe you and kiss you. You really did… but you also had the fatal flaw of having to be right, of leaving yourself out in the cold in order to prove to yourself that the monster was correct, because if you were wrong about that, then what else could you be wrong about? What other concrete, absolute facts would turn on their heads and yank the rug out from under you?

It was better to be right, to give in to the inner monologue that made your head throb and pulse with hot self-hatred, rather than give in to the man you loved. Better to be alone, correct, solid in your beliefs than to trust your boyfriend’s love. Love could be turned off, after all, and you knew that better than anyone.

“Just- just stay, please. I can’t live without-” his voice broke, and you hated yourself even more.

You stilled, staring at his hand on your wrist, as if you could find the answer there by studying the veins under his skin, the calluses and bones and the geography of his beautiful hands that you’d memorized.

“Please,” he said, exhaustion and pain and longing twisting his voice into a ragged whisper.

“Please talk to me. I won’t- I can’t force you to stay, but please tell me what you’re thinking, because if I did something wrong-”

“No,” you croaked out. “No, it’s not you. It was never you. It’s me.”

You lifted your eyes to his, a frisson of acrid self-loathing twisting your stomach when you saw the tears magnifying his beautiful brown eyes.

The monster got louder. You did that. You fucked up. You you you you you… it was always you. Nothing good could ever live within your orbit. Why were you always killing the nice things in your life?

“So you don’t want to marry me?” His eyes trailed to the velvet box on the nightstand, the catalyst for your panic, your blinding fear, your flight response to anything joyful.

“I- I don’t, I can’t- I mean I do, but-”

A sob suddenly wracked your body, shuddering waves of nausea rippling up from your toes to your shoulders.

"I want to marry you. I want it all with you, but,” a hiccup erupted, and you huffed, taking a deep breath to try to steady yourself.

“But that's selfish. I have nothing to offer you.”

He shook his head, vehement in his rebuttal.

“You have everything to offer me, everything. I want you. I want you in my bed and in my life and in my heart. I wouldn’t have proposed if I didn’t want you, and everything that goes with it.”

His jaw was set, big brown eyes suddenly blazing with passion, with how certain he was about his love for you.

Maybe giving in wouldn’t be bad, wouldn’t hurt more than being stubborn? Maybe it would be safe to put one foot on the bridge he was building for you, to take a step and trust that he would hold you and keep you from falling into the canyon you’d been throwing yourself into for decades. Could you trust him? Could you let him treat you better than the way you believed you deserved after the world had put its claws in you?

A deep breath, in, then out again, feeling your pulse pounding in your throat as you took a step, held your heart out for him to hold.

“I will always believe that I have nothing to offer you, nothing to offer to anyone, but I would love to admire you for the rest of my life… if you'd have me."

More tears rushed to his eyes, but the grin that split his face was your reward, the most pure and priceless thing he could ever offer you for trusting him.

You gave in, and his warmth wrapped around you as he pulled you close and kissed you. 💖

Illyrian Siphons - A Conspiracy Theory

Okay like I have a wild theory about these siphons that illyrians wear

So what if these siphons don’t actually harness the power, but limit the power.

That’s why the more powerful a person is the more you would need.

Like they have a history of oppressing these warrior tribes and what better way to oppress and control someone than in a way where the oppressed don’t even realise it.

The Night Court has never been kind to these so called faes who are not “high faes”

Why doesn’t rhysand need to wear these siphons???? I know some lukewarm explanation was given about how he’s only half Illyrian and half super powerful, the most greatest in the entire universe.

I think Rhysand’s dad or dads dad or some ancestor realised that the best way to control these so-called wild tribes with these “heathens” would be with these stones which limited their powers

And I think our Rhysand is in on it.

I'm just glad all the pictures of Jikook have been from military personal and official and not some other trainee or fans sneaking pictures of Jikook. Unlike Tae's video of him training and walking in the camp, which was not official but taken by someone else. Which everyone was celebrating and sharing BTW, cause they were happy to see Tae. We knew the Maknae line would not go in peace, but when you put 2 of the most popular members of BTS in the same camp and on top of that together as buddies, its almost inevitable pictures were gonna come out from the camp. And you gotta love the hypocrisy from antis, who were drooling over Tae's video, saying they were so happy to see him, but the minute anything comes out with Jk and Jimin, they wanna act like they have morals. Just say its killing you everytime you see them together, cause it makes it harder for you to pretend they aren't doing things together as buddies the entire time. In fact this whole fandom. Every time a picture of Jin or Hobi comes out, everyone is quick to celebrate and doesn't even ask if its official or not, but with Jikook, its crying hours as usual. I'm sure if it gets too much, Hybe or Jikook's managers will say something eventually.

It's giving them chest pains so they guilt trip us into deleting and fighting eachother so they can hate in peace.

The worst is most jokers will start pandering to them for fear of backlash and losing followers 🤣🤣🤣

In the upcoming March issue of Empire Magazine, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the DC Animated Universe film ‘Batman: Mask of the Phantasm’ and remember the late Batman veteran voice actor Kevin Conroy who passed away November 2022, Empire interviewed people who were part of creating the iconic DCAU film and series, such as Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and Mark Hamill, who voiced the Joker.

In the interview, Mark Hamill doesn’t believe he'll ever take up the Joker mantle again without Kevin Conroy there to trade lines with as the Dark Knight. Hamill says "They would call and say, 'They want you to do the Joker,' and my only question was, 'Is Kevin Batman?' If they said yes, I would say, 'I'm in.' We were like partners. We were like Laurel and Hardy. Without Kevin there, there doesn't seem to be a Batman for me."

Mark Hamill, beginning in 1992, voiced the Joker for the classic #DCAU in series such as ‘Batman: The Animated Series’, ‘The New Batman Adventures’, ‘Static Shock’, and ‘Justice League’. Writer Paul Dini knew Hamill was the perfect cast for the Harlequin of Hate, in particular with his crystalizing laughter, filled with all the bitter madness that shapes this 83 year old character. Outside of the DC Animated Universe, Hamill reprised his role as Joker in a few non-DCAU projects such as the video games ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ (2009), its sequel ‘Batman: Arkham City’ (2011) and the finale game ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ (2015). Hamill returned as the Clown Prince in the 2016 animated film "Batman: The ‪Killing Joke‬", the animated tv shows "Justice League Action" (2016-2018) and “Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?” (2019), and the 2022 video game MultiVersus.

If Hamill is ending his three decades long contribution to voicing the iconic Batman villain, we thank him for creating this depiction of one of the most popular rogues in literature and for being a very important part of the Batman's 84 year long history.🃏😢💔

rainbow dash human headcanons wooo!! (going to be mad long j a warning)

she is 19. i actually do not like the idea of her being short/average height! I see her as ab 5’9 so tall but not taller than applejack duh

she is def very thin but toned!! she just zooms around toooo much for me to think she’s jacked 😢 i HIGHLY dislike it when people use bra sizes as a guide bc they vary so much depending on the band sizes. she is flat chested like let’s be real here. i also j LOVE this idea of rarity basically forcing her do to modeling for her fashion designs bc of her proportions and because everyone loves rarity she will do it just for her 😏

ethnically i like the idea of her being hispanic & white, was thinking along the lines of colombian or cuban?? and then i feel like the white would be italian, specifically having an italian mom bc they are something! skintone i see her as very tan. naturally and due to being outdoors allll the time

it’s time to discuss the classic one.. what is rainbow dash’s sexuality? my idea is she would only ever date a girl because she is literally a gay horse but BUT she is not opposed to getting w/ men. this is because she is kind of a slut! i just see her having a higher libido and not giving a fuck about being “ran through” bc she knows it’s all misogynistic bullshit. i also feel like she ends up getting w/ a lot of her friends bc she is just that bitch. definitely twilight, rarity, pinkie, & aj. no fluttershy bc she sees her as the sister she never had.

appearance-wise she mainly wears shorts, jeans kinda like a levi’s 501, crop tops and sweats. she will dress up depending on the occasion. she is obsessed with converse for sure. she has a bunch of ear piercings and three big tattoos. one of them is ofc a pair of wings on her back, then lightning bolts under one ribcage and clouds under the other. in general she is very pretty and she in fact cares a lot about her appearance. she keeps her hair about armpit length because she feels more traditionally feminine that way, and she keeps it up all the time. i’m thinking naturally light brown hair and blue eyes and she would eventually bleach her hair and dye it rainbow.

she has ADHD, PTSD, and seasonal depression, with the PTSD and seasonal depression stemming from a major car accident she was in at 14 that killed both of her parents and severely injured her. she kinda “copes” with it by smoking a ton of weed during the off season from soccer since she wouldn’t want to test positive for any drugs & she just for sure has a thing for beer and cider. scotch if she wants to get really fucked up

last but not least, applejack ❤️ she has had a crush on applejack for FOREVER and after they drunkenly hookup AJ begins to see her in this way.

okay that’s it! that’s my dashie. i feel like there’s a LOT of potential for fanfic writing with all of these headcanons so we’ll see how it goes
