Regarding names: I have an extended theory about Grandmother's family and names where it's common to have different names based on the stages of your life; somewhat similar to historical practices across Asia. (Oda Nobunaga's childhood name was Kippōshi!)

My theory is that the 'new' names the Entrati family bestow on one another during their syndicate arc are actually remembered names they used before at some point in their lives.

My evidence is Loid using Kermerros's name regardless of your Entrati syndicate rank (IE, Loid uses the name before it's 'given' to him).

This does coincidentally solve the practical writing issue where nobody will recognize these characters if I give them all new names!

It's not the sole reason I adopted this headcanon, but it sure helps.

Thanks to Albrecht being millennia older than Loid he has a long-standing habit of sometimes calling Loid 'boy' (Loid was fresh out of university when he started working for Albrecht) and Loid is torn between going "I'm 60, quit that" and being into it

There is a Boston expression (at least I am fairly sure it is a just Boston/Massachusetts expression) that I would love to see in media more: No sir, pronounced “no suh” and it means no way, an expression of disbelief. It is not gendered. I would guess most people think the word is sur or suh

Example:

A: Kathleen hooked up with Erin’s boyfriend, Connor

B: No suh!

Or:

A: I won tickets to the Sox game tonight! You in?

B: No suh! That’s awesome, man! Let’s hit the first packie and get some nips to sneak in
