Mr. Car thief, Or is it Mr. Steal Your Heart
Tumblr media
"He didn't steal that car, he stole my heart."
Teddy Pierce X Police officers' daughter
Song recommended with this oneshot: Criminal by Britney Spears
Word Count: 750
Warnings: Cussing and/or violent language, Teddy is a bit of a bully and a bit violent, Kissing, making out, reader lying to her father, kabedon.
Reminder: I don't own any of the characters other than you the reader and her parents. Please don't repost without credit, and i'm always open for constructive criticism. Please also remember all of this is fake and Teddy never does have a run in with the cops other than with Santa and Kate, it's just for the story.
Don't forget to enjoy and if you have any requests or want to be tagged in my next oneshot please let me know! I know its very short and rushed but I have to study for finals but I wanted to post again before my Christmas break.
Tumblr media
Well shit, how come he didn't even notice her until that video his sister took. A girl that he knew of in his grade was staring right at him when he and his "friends" stole that car. Fuck. What was he supposed to tell her, did he really have to explain what he did to her? Double fuck, her dads a fucking cop. His mind raced of things to get her to shut her mouth about it.
You on the other hand had yet to say a word about it to anyone. How could you tell on him? As pathetic as it sounded you thought he was kind of cute. Well walking back home down an alleyway that you always take you didn't expect to see him there waiting for you.
Teddy found out from asking around what your name was, what route you take to school, and everything in between. Finding your route was just a bit off of his he decided to give you a bit of a visit. Just a bit of a scare, he assumed to get you to keep your mouth shut. Finally you came around the corner of the alleyway.
Walking through the alleyway not knowing he was even there until he pushed your back against the brick wall of that same alleyway. His hand moving to the side of your face, trapping you. Obviously confused and a bit panicked you looked up at him, he was only a few inches taller than you.
"Don't think I didn't see you there, what am I going to have to do to keep your mouth shut about that little thing." Honestly you were a little confused at first before you realized what he was talking about. The stolen car. "Don't make me repeat myself, what do you want to keep your mouth shut." If you were being honest with yourself you wanted him to kiss you, take your first kiss. Taking all the courage you had you spoke in a quiet voice, "A kiss."
He must have thought you were joking since he laughed then realized you were being serious. "You just want me to kiss you? And you wont tell anyone what happened? That seems a bit too easy." Did you really want to tell him that would be your first kiss, no but if it makes it more believable and he would do it. You got to try. Stuttering out some words you were able to whisper, "Well some kids are making jokes about me never having my first kiss so. I thought you know, you don't get into trouble and kids will leave me alone."
He smiled, this was too easy he thought. How could he say no to a cute girl asking him to kiss her. His hand wraps around your waist, pulling you closer to him. "I mean, I can't say no to that." Leaning down to kiss you, it was a lot rougher than you thought it would be. Thinking it would be a quick kiss, him on the other hand was not thinking that. Pushing you up more against the wall, after a few seconds he pulled back, your mouth was a little open getting oxygen. Exactly what he was hoping for.
He kissed you again, his tongue exploring your mouth. A little moan escaping your lips leads him to continue his assault on your lips. His knee moving up in between your legs, leaving your lips for some oxygen you let out a little whine trying to pull him in for another kiss. Laughing he pulled back saying something you could barely hear as he was walking away while speaking, "Maybe next time you catch us, we can continue."
He left you standing in that alleyway with that cute look of desperation and submission. He didn't want to overdo it. I mean it was your first kiss. Making your way home your father questions why you're late and about that stolen car. "I think it was the Pierce kid. I mean he was in the area, there had to be witnesses. You were there right it was him right?" Shyly you speak very quietly and almost as if you're not talking to him.
"Dad, he didn't steal that car, he stole my heart." You walk up to your room, getting a good night's sleep you would need it. How else would you find them stealing another car?
Tumblr media
Honestly, I think this is my favorite ending I have made yet. Thank you, guys, for the support!

The Christmas Chronicles | Halloween's Christmas
Title: Halloween's Christmas Fandom(s): The Christmas Chronicles Pairing(s): Female OC/Mrs. Claus Character(s): Mrs. Claus, Katie Pierce, Santa Claus, Teddy Pierce, Belsnickel Summary: A clan war left Spencer's parents dead. For the sake of avenging her parents, she must hide in order to survive. After running into the Pierces, she has to decide whether or not to be happy knowing that the killers are still on the loose.
Things get increasingly hectic as she meets the Clauses. Specifically, Mrs. Claus. Now the situation is grim, but in order to protect everyone when Alpha tracks her to the North Pole, she has no choice but to fight back. ______
My version of combining Christmas and Halloween. My OC, Spencer Pierce, is an Alpha Werewolf. Alpha is after her because she is one of the strongest in the Northern Hemisphere.
Feel free to leave behind questions, ideas, and suggestions. Also, no smut. I can do some fluff and the occasional high school making-out sessions if you know what I mean.

That Sketchbook of Yours
Teddy Pierce X reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: Fluff, a bit of mention of his fathers passing, Cussing and violent language, Teddy acts like a bully for a paragraph, making out, and parent interrupting making out. Let me know if I missed any!
Word Count: 1.2K not including title
I saw some in need for Christmas chronicles X readers and being someone who thinks teddy was attractive here we are. I'm sorry if some parts are wrong, I barely even had my first kiss (I'm a loser for my age). Also if you have anything else you want don't be shy to ask! Now enjoy!
FYI, it's really late for me and I should be studying for finals but I'm not so if you see a mistake, please let me know and honestly, I kind of hate this but whatever.
Tumblr media
After Teddy's father died, he didn't really have anyone to turn to before he met you. You were a nerd as people saw it, you read and wrote, hell you could draw really well too. He thought you were quite pretty too. He only saw you in one class and that was geometry, one he recently failed, but boy was he glad he failed.
You were a shy thing too, not talking much; sitting in a corner seat; head down and always drawing something. He knew of your artist skill from having to sit away from his "gangster" friends and next to you. He always did sneak glances at you how could he not? You were so easy to fall for. Nodding or shaking your head when people talked to you, when you did talk your voice was adorable.
Randomly one day before Christmas break he took your sketchbook, he stood a few inches taller than you. Flipping through the pages mostly filled with cats or sometimes a friend or too. You panic and desperately try to grab the notebook. He stood his ground, looking at each page for a second.
He came across a page, filled with drawings of himself. He laughed before leaning down to your height. "Does this mean you have a little crush on me?" You blush a bright red, he laughs again. "I'm taking that as a yes, am I right? Sweetheart." You stumble on your words, trying to make up a lame excuse to why you had those drawings which consisted of "Your easy to draw," "You sit next to me and are an easy reference." There were a few more but he didn't really bother to listen. The blush that was darkening on your cheeks was more than an answer.
But before he or you could say anything else, you grabbed your notebook and ran off; embarrassed. Running home straight away not stopping till you were safe in your room, cooped up in your feelings for him. Christmas break the rest was a blur for you until a day or two after Christmas...

~Flashback for Teddy on Christmas Eve With Santa~
"If you know what everyone wants, tell me what I want." Kate looked up at him "Teddy! Stop it, you don't have to do that Santa." Santa looked at Teddy a bit annoyed and a bit; prideful? "Her." He fell silent for a long while, knowing exactly who he was talking about. Kate was just confused "Who?" Nobody answered her though.
She very quickly forgot about that when she was asked to find the reindeer. The boys sat in the car for a minute in silence, still running from the police. "She asked for you for Christmas, you know." Teddy smiled a bit, he knew exactly what to do when he saw her again. He even thought about finding you himself.
~End of Flashback~
Tumblr media
A day or two after Christmas you were sitting in your bedroom before a faint knock at the door, thinking it was your mother, you politely say that they could come in. You turn to ask 'your mother' what she needs and your face to face with Teddy Pierce. Honestly he doesn't know whether to laugh or walk out with the look of surprise on your face. He spoke before you had a chance to, "Listen I know I was kind of an asshole last we saw each other and I just want to tell you that well. Damn it this is harder than I thought. I like you. I did all that teasing because I liked you."
You stood there, not really being able to muster up any form of words. "Say something please. Yell at me, tell me i'm a dick and kick me out, do anything!" You worked up as much courage you had in many years, got on your tip toes, leaned in and kissed him. Now it was his turn to be surprised. Your kiss was short and sweet your lips tasted like candy-canes and sugar cookies, his tasting like milk and maple syrup. Pulling back from kiss and him you look away a bit sheepishly and quietly speak, "Were the drawings of you not enough, do I really have to say I like you too?"
He was staring at you, "No they weren't. Say it again. That you like me." He was a bit in disbelief I mean hell Santa is always right about that kind of stuff but, he needed to hear it from you. "I like you too, Teddy Pierce." You smile shyly looking back at him, when you feel a tug. Pulling you closer he speaks quietly a bit embarrassed, "Can I?" You don't know for certain what he is asking but you whisper out a yes.
Almost evidently he kissed you, rougher than you kissed him but still soft. He turns you both around having your back to the door, pressing you against it; his hands on your waist teasingly moving up and down, testing the waters to see if he should go down any farther. You, your hands moving to his hair, tugging a bit; trying to get some type of oxygen. He bites your lip not hard just enough to shock you a bit into opening your mouth, his tongue sliding in slowly. Not wanting to rush or scare you.
Seeing you were fine with it he started to get a bit more greedy. Taking a breath he leaned into you more, his body competently covering yours; his leg moves in between your legs, for "More space" as he phrased it in his head. Lightly moaning, you hungrily pull more on his hair; as his tongue takes the more dominant control. He perks up at your little moan.
He made you do that. Not that loser kid that tries to walk you home everyday, not the kid in geometry who tries to get you to look at him, not the kid always asking for homework answers to start a conversation, not even that kid who would compliment your drawings all the time. HIM. Just when it's about to go farther, his hands moving to your ass, you hear a knock. More like he heard the knock. He leaned back, you leaned to him. He gently grabs you and opens the door face to face with your mother.
"You two alright I didn't really hear any talking or anything, do you guys want some cookies?" Your mom spoke, you honestly have never been more mad at your mother for ruining the moment. Teddy smiled at her "No, maybe next time my mother would get worried." Your mother being the kind lady she is smiled back and told him she would let you two say goodbye before he left.
"We are dating now right," you asked questioningly. He laughed, "I wouldn't kiss you and do all that for you not to be my girlfriend." You smile at him, and he opens your bedroom door to leave. Pulling him back you give him a kiss, a soft and quick one before walking him outside. Walking back to your room you realize something.
Teddy Pierce a guy who stole cars, hung around gangsters, and has failed a class was not your boyfriend he was just a random guy. Your boyfriend was kind, loved photographing and had a passion for it. He loved the snow and would never admit enjoying baking and how much he really loved his sister. To think it all happened because he took that sketchbook of yours and maybe a bit of help from old saint nick.
Tumblr media
I hate the ending, but I didn't want this one-shot to be over 1.5K words. Well, I hope you like this, please if you want to re-post this somewhere you give me credits and permission. If you want any more of Teddy Pierce don't be shy, I'm always open to suggestions and as well as help in making my writing more enjoyable. Please let me know your opinions!

Top 10 Actors Who I Love Playing Santa Claus
Whether he's called Santa Claus, St. Nick, Kris Kringle or Father Christmas, the man in the big red suit is a regular sight in holiday movies. Plenty of actors have tackled the role over the years, but a few stand out as the jolliest of the lot. From the big screen to the small, here are 10 actors who have played Santa (or characters pretending to be Santa) throughout the years.
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Paul Dooley - Hot in Cleveland, S3/E17 'Claus, Tails & High-Pitched Males: Birthdates 3' (2012) George Wendt - Santa Buddies (2009) Paul Sorvino - Santa Baby 2: Christmas Maybe (2009) Edmund Gwenn - Miracle on 34th Street (1947) - The only reason he's not in the top 10 is because I never saw the original which I'm planning to change.
#10. M. Emmet Walsh - Early Edition, S1/E11 ’Christmas’ (1996)
Tumblr media
Here's one of my favorite actors (for his acting abilities & of course to fuck) as Santa. Sure he's not you traditional Santa here, looking like a drunk off the streets playing old Saint Nick. , but at the end you find out he really was Santa. He kinda gets me in the mood to find some drunken fake Santa for blow-job session behind a dumpster in a dark alley... Guess I'm kinda kinky like that. Not really, but kinda.
#9. Jim Broadbent - Get Santa (2014)
Tumblr media
Even though I prefer my Santa short and on the fat side. Broadbent has a look that works as Santa Claus. At least somebody agrees with me as he played Santa again in a Aldi Christmas ad.
#8. Leslie Nielsen - All I Want for Christmas (1991)
Tumblr media
Again, tall and thin and I'll usually say no, but Nielsen does it for me here. He did it for other too as he played Santa again in Santa Who?, a made-for-TV flick released in 2000.
#7. John Goodman - The Year Without a Santa Claus (2006)
Tumblr media
Tall, but at the time, Goodman was big enough to play a decent Santa Claus. Fun fact, he also voiced Robot Santa in Futurama.
#6. James Cosmo - The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)
Tumblr media
Tall, thick and kindly with a hint I'll fuck you up if your on the naughty list. This is the Santa Claus I can see beating that ass up.
#5. Richard Attenborough - Miracle on 34th Street (1994)
Tumblr media
If Santa Claus was real and he is, damn you. Attenborough’s version is the closest approximation every one would imagine and he does a remarkable job of channeling the magic of Santa. I almost feel bad about wanting to fuck him. Almost.
#4. Donovan Scott - Numerous projects
Tumblr media
While I was making this list, I never realized how many times Donovan has played St. Nicholas. From Santa look alikes, mall Santas to the real deal. He's been in numerous TV movies, TV shows and holiday TV commercials as the big guy. And out of all of the guys on this list, I think Donovan is the cutest. The ONLY reason he's at #4 is because I wanted to fuck the next three guys longer than him.
#3. Ed Asner - Numerous projects
Tumblr media
Now get to the meat and potatoes of my list and of course Asner is up at the top with the best of them. He has played or voiced Santa Claus in numerous projects, but his most remembered Santa was in Elf. I mean sure the movie was about Buddy the elf. But it's a Christmas movie. You got to have Santa Claus in it and Asner brought his mixture of grumpy teddy bear to role. And I do love a grumpy man.
#2. David Huddleston - Santa Claus: The Movie (1985)
Tumblr media
Huddleston was my first "Movie Santa" and without question, one of my all-time favorite portrayal of Jolly Old St. Nicholas himself. He not only looked the part with his physique, he sounds like the part. His laugh was perfect. Though I'd prefer a white beard, he pulls it off and his suit was great. And love the alternate clothes he wore. He just seemed the way you always figured Santa should be like. As a kid I loved the film. As an adult, if it wasn't for looking so hot, I couldn't get though the whole film because of Dudley Moore.
#1. Charles Durning - Numerous projects
Tumblr media
Truth be told, there's only two people I envision to play Santa Claus... Huddleston and no other than Charles Durning. And if your a long time follower of mine, you should have guess he'd be #1. His family said he loved the Christmas season and to that end the portly, 5'8" Durning, who died Christmas Eve, played played the role of Santa Claus the third most on this list.

Drarry ficlet: Momento mei
Tumblr media
2399 words | general audiences | angst with a happy ending
Thanks to @glittering-git for the beta!
Read below or on AO3 here.
Memento mei
It seemed like a blessing at first.
In the months after the war ended, the articles chronicling Harry’s deeds in the Prophet slowly waned from full pages of lavish words and photographs, to barely a mention of his name. Harry felt lighter for it, free. By the time the first term back at Hogwarts was almost over, he could go to Hogsmeade without worrying about flash bulbs startling him every time he stepped out of a shop.
“They finally got tired of you, mate,” Ron said with a laugh as they trudged back to the school after a morning of Christmas shopping. Harry scooped up a handful of snow and rubbed it, none too gently, into Ron’s grinning face.
Harry and Ginny’s break-up didn’t get so much as a mention, even in Rita Skeeter’s gossip column, which had been relegated to an ignominious corner ten pages back from the front page. When he came out as bisexual and briefly dated Terry Boot that spring, he braced himself for a fresh round of publicity. It never materialised.
Harry looked in the mirror of the eighth-year boys’ bathroom and found he was truly comfortable in his own skin for the first time. His life wasn’t going to be scrutinised and dissected for public consumption anymore. The people around him didn’t think he was a freak or a waste of space.
One year after the war, with a handful of NEWTs to his name, Harry was at a loss for what to do next. There was no particular career he felt inclined to pursue, so he put his energy into renovating Grimmauld Place and spending time with his godson. He wondered at times why no one had offered him a job—Ron and Hermione had been deluged with letters—but he never mentioned it to anyone. It would have sounded awfully big-headed to expect anything to be handed to him like that, much less complain about it. While his friends began training programmes and apprenticeships, Harry Vanished broken furniture and stripped mildewy wallpaper off the walls. On the weekends, he met the usual Hogwarts gang for pub night or a party in someone’s cramped flat.
Harry looked in the mirror on his way out to meet his friends, giving his hair one last check. Maybe he’d meet someone new tonight. He winked at his reflection before leaving his newly-renovated bedroom.
Two years after the war, Harry didn’t think twice about walking through Diagon Alley on a busy Saturday. There were no stares or requests for autographs, no whispers when he paused to look into a shop window. He met friends for leisurely lunches. He ate ice cream at a table in front of Fortescue’s and watched people strolling by in the summer sunshine. Once, Harry walked the entire length of Diagon without realising that George had flicked a spell at the back of his head as he’d left the joke shop.
Harry looked in the mirror when he got home and was bemused by the things that didn’t warrant a second glance in the magical world, like hair that shifted between purple and orange every five seconds. He went over to Andromeda’s house to show Teddy, who laughed to see his godfather’s hair change colours like his did.
Three years after the war, Harry’s friends started forgetting to invite him to things. At first, they laughed it off as absentmindedness or a simple oversight. “I’m sorry, Harry! It must have slipped my mind,” was an excuse he began to hear more and more often. And then they began to look confused when he confronted them, like it was strange for Harry to expect to be included at all. As the months went by, the hosts of the get-togethers weren’t the only offenders—not a single person seemed to notice when Harry didn’t show up for something. When he mentioned it later, they would only lament all the fun he’d missed out on. His frustration curdled into self-pity.
Harry looked in the mirror the day he found out he’d missed Lavender’s engagement party, studying his unremarkable features and the unremarkable haircut he’d had since he was eighteen. Was he really so boring and unimportant that nobody thought about him much anymore? He didn’t mind in the least that the wizarding world wasn’t fawning over him, but it cut deeply that the people dearest to him no longer seemed to want or need his company.
It was only when his closest friends stopped recognising him that Harry began to suspect that something was terribly wrong. The first one was Luna, but she was often so lost in her own thoughts that it didn’t strike him as odd that she’d drifted past him in Diagon without saying hello. Then Molly looked at him blankly one day when he arrived at the Burrow for Sunday roast, as if Harry were a stranger who’d wandered in by accident. Thankfully, Ron was passing through the kitchen and greeted him as he usually did. Molly gave herself a little shake and ushered them both into the lounge.
Four years after the war ended, Minister for Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt didn’t mention Harry’s name in his speech commemorating the Battle of Hogwarts.
Hagrid didn’t invite Harry to tea for his birthday, as he did every year.
And when Harry popped into Neville’s flower shop to wish him happy birthday, Neville responded to his greeting with a baffled look. Harry watched in horror as he turned to Hannah and mouthed the words, “Who’s that?”
Harry spun on his heel and went right back out the door.
Either he was going mad or everyone else was. He walked around London for half the night, unable to think straight. The city was a vast ocean, and Harry felt like a small boat that had been set adrift, tossed around by waves of panic. When he was calmer, he decided to turn to the two people he knew he could always count on for help.
On his twenty-second birthday, Harry woke up on his sofa and rushed to the Floo to call Hermione before she left for work. He was flooded with relief when he heard footsteps approaching the fireplace. Ron’s face appeared in the flames—and immediately twisted into anger when he saw Harry.
“How did you get this address? Who let you into our wards? Get out!”
Harry sat on the floor for a long time after Ron had slammed the Floo connection closed.
Alone. Alone. Alone.
Oh, god—Teddy. Harry scrambled to his feet. Would Teddy shy away from Harry as he would from a stranger, the next time they saw each other? He stumbled up the stairs and dry heaved over the toilet.
Harry looked in the mirror and prodded his chalky face with his forefinger. Did he look unrecognisable to everyone but himself now? Did they see a different face, a different person when they looked at him? Or were they all under some kind of spell that erased their memories?
How had he been forgotten by everyone who loved him?
Forgotten.
You will be forgotten.
The phrase echoed in Harry’s head, causing him to sink down onto the bathroom floor. Over four years ago he’d heard those very words, snarled by a Death Eater as she’d been dragged out of the Great Hall by Aurors after the final battle. Harry had been so exhausted that the dank weight of her magic settling upon him had immediately vanished from his mind.
“The Dark Lord will always be remembered! But you will not, Harry Potter. You are nothing compared to him—utterly insignificant! You will be forgotten!”
Harry went to St Mungo’s to see the Healers, who shook their heads at the young man who insisted he was supposed to be famous. When they couldn’t fix him, they called in an Unspeakable who specialised in breaking obscure curses. After an hour of waiting, a man in hooded grey robes swept into the examining room. He didn’t show the slightest sign of recognition when he introduced himself to Harry as Unspeakable Malfoy.
Harry looked in the mirror above the sink while Malfoy cast diagnostic spells at him. He tried not to cry.
Malfoy didn’t make any promises when he was done with his spells, the results of which he recorded in a small notebook. He promised to send an owl if he found anything and asked for Harry’s name again so he could write it down.
If Malfoy couldn’t fix this, Harry decided on his walk home, he’d have to leave England. If he went someplace where no one had heard of him, they couldn’t forget him, right? The tears he’d held back at St Mungo’s slid down his cheeks as he thought about how much he’d gained, and now lost, since his eleventh birthday. Maybe he didn’t have the most exciting life or a career to boast about, but there were people who loved him. There were happy times and an old house that he’d turned into a home with his own hands.
Harry went back to Grimmauld Place and waited for word from Malfoy. He paced through the high-ceilinged rooms and climbed the long flights of stairs until his legs ached. He caught himself holding his breath, listening for a knock on the door or the roar of the Floo. When they never came, he went out to the back garden instead and lay on its small rectangle of grass. He considered where he might go—California or New Zealand. Or maybe some South Pacific island where it never got cold.
At last, Malfoy’s owl arrived four days after he had examined Harry. He’d identified the curse and, more importantly, found the countercurse.
Back at St Mungo’s, Malfoy greeted Harry coolly and ordered him into a chair. The countercurse was a droning chant in a language that Harry didn’t recognise, accompanied by complex wand motions that made him dizzy to watch. He closed his eyes until it was over, hardly able to breathe.
When the casting was finished and the room silent again, Harry opened his eyes and found Malfoy gaping at him.
“Potter? What the hell?” Malfoy looked over at his notes on the table, then back at Harry, his eyes widening even further. Then he said, faintly, “Well, Scarhead, that was quite the predicament you got yourself—”
He didn’t get the chance to finish. Harry launched himself out of the chair and crushed Malfoy in a hug, laughing tearfully into the shoulder of his Unspeakable robes.
“Gracious, Potter, a simple thank-you would suffice.” Malfoy wriggled out of Harry’s arms and stepped back to cast a diagnostic spell at him. “Do you feel any different?”
Harry thought about it for a moment. “Not really. Lighter, maybe?”
“You’re probably just relieved to be famous again,” Malfoy said, rolling his eyes. “It must have been terrible not to see your own picture in the newspaper every day.”
“No, that part was actually nice. It was having my friends not even recognise me anymore…”
The rest of the words got caught in Harry’s throat. Malfoy’s expression turned sympathetic, and when he spoke again, it was with surprising gentleness.
“Well, then. I suppose you’d better go see them now, hmm?”
He accompanied Harry to the Floo in the reception area. Harry tried to glance at him as they walked, but he’d pulled up his hood to hide his face from the other people in the corridor. No wonder Harry hadn’t heard anything about Malfoy in the past few years—he’d buried himself in the depths of the Ministry, learning to undo Dark curses.
And letting the wizarding world forget him, Harry thought with a pang.
Harry shook Malfoy’s hand and thanked him. Whatever happened next, he knew he wouldn’t stop thinking about Malfoy, with his sharp gaze and clever mind, anytime soon. Malfoy, too, seemed to consider Harry for a few long moments before he stepped into the Floo.
This time, the only reason why Hermione and Ron were surprised to see Harry was because they weren’t expecting him on a Thursday evening as they were squabbling over what to make for dinner. He almost started crying again when Ron cuffed him on the shoulder and asked him if he wanted a beer.
Hermione noticed that he was upset first, of course. When Harry explained the curse, she blamed herself for not catching that something was wrong. Ron looked towards the pictures on the mantelpiece and swore under his breath. There weren’t any pictures of Harry there.
The good parts of Harry’s life returned to normal after that, and he was almost bursting with renewed gratitude for the people around him. Diagon was off limits again, since the vultures at the Prophet remembered to hound him, but that was a small price to pay. Harry threw himself a belated birthday party in Grimmauld Place, and the rooms were filled with music and laughter and shouted toasts in his honour. He never wanted the night to end.
Harry looked in the mirror before going to bed in the wee small hours, and he smiled with contentment at his bleary eyes and the glitter caught in his hair.
He’d invited Malfoy to the party on a whim, but received a polite note declining. Harry tried again and again—a Seekers game? Lunch in Muggle London? Tea at Grimmauld Place?—until Malfoy finally gave in. He showed up on Harry’s doorstep in jeans and a soft, well-fitted jumper. Harry found himself staring.
“Did you forget that you asked me to dinner, Potter?” Malfoy smirked.
“Oh, no,” Harry breathed. “How could I forget you?”

Five years after the war ended, Harry spends his Saturdays teaching Teddy how to fly on his first broom and Sundays being climbed on by two or three small Weasleys who know he keeps sweets in pockets. He orders Christmas gifts by owl post to avoid star-struck witches in the Diagon shops. He slips into the Leaky Cauldron under his invisibility cloak to meet his friends for drinks.
And when Draco reads out the ridiculous articles about him from the Daily Prophet, Harry chucks the crusts of his toast across the breakfast table at his boyfriend and says he almost forgot how much of a prat he could be.
“You didn’t forget anything,” Draco says pointedly.
And Harry has to agree. He didn’t.

The Christmas Chronicles is fatphobic and cheesy and really a terrible movie overall. That said, I believe I’m attracted to Teddy Pierce and I’m not sure how to feel about that.
