A TCT SUMMER COLLECTION MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
“I bet you can convince yn to go onto the ring of fire.” Jun whispers to Minghao as they wait for you and Mingyu to come back with the stack of fries you all ordered. Minghao scoffs, shaking his head when he remembers how adamant you were to not go on any of the rides that make you go upside down. It was one of the only reasons they were able to convince you to come with them to the fair.
“She only agreed to come if we didn’t force her to go on rides like that.” Jun chuckles, looking over to see you and Mingyu happy dancing as you wait for the food. “She’s literally in love with you, of course she’d agree if you asked her.”
Minghao sputters at Jun’s statement, beginning to choke over air, causing Jun’s eyes to widen. “Hao! Are you okay?!” Minghao finally manages to take a deep inhale after Jun begins to panic over his best friend dying, running around the table to look for your bag to grab the water bottle.
“I’m fine, I’m not dying. I just, what do you mean she’s in love with me?” Jun lets out a relieved sigh, patting Minghao’s back.
“Just pay close attention to how she acts with you versus us. Then you’ll see your one-sided love is more mutual than you think.”
“Fries time! Fries time!” You sing as you put the freshly fried potatoes onto the table, snapping the two out of their conversation. Mingyu places the second batch of fries on the table along with the napkins, sitting down beside you. “I hope these are as delicious as they say.”
The four of you each take a couple, and taste it right away. Your eyes bulge out, as do the other guys who glance at each other. You immediately look towards Minghao, and he catches your eyes at the same time. You let out a small noise of approval, giving him an excited thumbs up before pushing more towards him.
“Why are you pushing it towards me? You’re the one most excited for the fries.” Minghao says with a giggle, and you scoff at him.
“Just because I’m really excited doesn’t mean I shouldn’t share! I know you were excited for them too, so eat more mingming!”
Minghao looks down with a small blush due to the nickname, taking a couple fries and shoving them into his mouth to look busy. Jun nudges him, mouthing the word, “see!” Mingyu chuckles at the interaction, nodding his head in agreement while you sit there, oblivious. Your focus is on the delicious fries that were absolutely worth the hype !! Until you notice you’re the only one devouring them, so you pause, and look up at the three guys who are looking at you with amused expressions on their faces.
“Are you guys gonna eat the fries or what?”
“Pretty sure you’re going to finish them all before we can even finish chewing.”
“... bitch.”
“Did he lie?” You turn towards Minghao to see if he’s on your side. The betrayal sinks in the moment he avoids your gaze and takes a large sip from his water bottle.
“Damn. It really be your own.”
Tumblr media
“I’ll wait for you guys here!” You say cheerfully, preparing to sit down on the bench once the boys get ready to line up for the ring of fire. “Oh no, you’re riding this with us.” Jun grabs your wrist, pulling you into the line.
Your eyes widen, yanking your wrist out of his grasp and stepping back out of the line. You look up at the ride, grimacing at the people going upside down in the loop multiple times. Turning back towards Jun, you glare. “Absolutely not.”
Mingyu nudges Minghao, and he gives him a look. Minghao lets out a breath, slowly reaching his hand out towards yours. “This is the only scary ride we’ll ask you to go on.” Your heart beats a bit faster at his outstretched hand, looking up into his eyes, he can tell you’re still not fully convinced.
“I’ll hold your hand the whole time.” Minghao offers with a soft grin, and you bite the inside of your cheek to stop the whipped smile from breaking out onto your face. You let out a sigh, intertwining your fingers with his and he places you next to him in line. Jun and Mingyu squeal silently beside each other, hitting each other's arms at the view of you and Minghao’s connected hands.
“How many in your group?” Your heart sinks to your stomach when Minghao answers that there’s four of you guys.
oh god why am i doing this
With your heart nervously beating against your chest, the employee scans your wristbands and leads you to the row of five. As soon as you get buckled in, Minghao finds your hand again and intertwines his fingers with yours. “Are you ready yn?”
You don’t respond, nervously bouncing your leg as you stare down at the hot metal. Mingyu and Jun let out a small giggle at the sight, telling you that it’ll be okay. Minghao squeezes your hand, and you turn to glance at him. He gives you a smile, and you try your best to muster a smile.
The ride jerks and your eyes widen, already opening your mouth to say I TAKE IT BACK as soon as it starts moving back and forth. “I’m absolutely going to shit myself.” Jun and Mingyu let out small squeals while Minghao keeps muttering that it’s going to be okay.
You find yourself believing that it’ll be okay after the first few swings, deciding that it’s not that bad.
until you begin going higher.
“I SWEAR TO GOD I’M GOING TO KILL YOU GUYS!!” You scream at the top of your lungs when you go upside down.
Tumblr media
“Maybe we shouldn’t have convinced you to ride it.” Jun states as they stare at you laying on the grass, trying to get rid of the nauseousness. Minghao runs his fingers through your hair in an attempt to try to comfort you, which Mingyu finds quite adorable as he is taking pictures of it at this very moment.
“You think?” You mumble, opening your eyes to glare at Jun, only to let out a small groan from the brightness of the sun and shut them right away. It’s been about thirty minutes since the four of you got off the ring of fire, and you immediately threw up into a trash can. The three helped you over to an empty spot where you can lay down, and now you’re just laying here waiting for the nauseousness to go away.
“Sorry yn.”
“Sorry yn…”
“Ugh, it’s fine. It’s my fault for even agreeing in the first place.” Minghao’s finger lightly brushes against your cheek as he runs his fingers through your hair, and you take a sharp inhale. Jun snickers behind the back of his hand, finding the interaction precious.
“Do you think you’ll be alright to ride any of the safer rides today?” Mingyu asks, and you open your eyes slowly to adjust to the brightness. You sit up, Minghao helping you by placing his hand on your back. Letting out a sigh, you shake your head. “Probably not. I remember the last time I rode one of those rides. The rest of the night I was completely out.”
“Oh no, what should we do then?” You wave Jun away with your hand, giving him a reassuring smile. “It’s okay, I can just play the games here as I wait for you guys.”
“By yourself?”
“Ye-”
“No. I’ll stay with yn.” Minghao cuts off, and you turn to him with wide eyes. Mingyu nods his head in approval, sneaking a wink his way with your attention now diverted away from the two, to which Minghao scowls at him.
“Minghao, I don’t wanna ruin your fun. It’s okay! I’ll do just fine alone.” You reassure him, and he just shakes his head stubbornly. “I’ll be staying with you the rest of the time at the fair. I prefer the games over the rides anyways.”
now that’s a goddamn lie, Jun thinks to himself.
“Well, we’ll see you guys later. Text us if you feel better yn, and we’ll all go on one of the baby rides together or something.” You raise your hand to slap Mingyu’s arm for the comment and he giggles, patting your head and walking away with Jun.
“Wanna walk around and look at what games to play or do you wanna lay here for a little bit longer?” Minghao waits for your response, letting out a giggle when you shake your head and turn to look at him with a dazed expression on your face. “Huh? Did you say something?”
“You good yn?”
“Probably not.”
“That’s expected.”
“It truly is.”
The two of you sit in silence for a moment, you debating on whether or not you wanna vomit again and Minghao taking note of how pretty you look when the sun hits your skin. He bites the inside of his cheek, looking out at the crowd when he remembers what Jun said.
“She’s literally in love with you, of course she’d agree if you asked her.”
“Mingming?” He immediately turns back towards you, letting out a small smile when he sees the glow coming back to your features. “Yeah yn?”
“Let’s go play the games, I wanna win the giant pikachu we saw earlier.” Minghao smiles at you, lifting his hand up and patting the top of your head softly.
“Let’s do it.”
Tumblr media
“I hate it here.” You mumble as you don’t end up winning one of the plushies for the third time. You get up off the seat, cursing capitalism for making it so hard to win any of these games.
stupid capitalism. I hate it so bad yet i always fall for it.
“Yn!” You turn back towards Minghao to see a big smile on his face, and you realize he won the game. He waves you over and you walk up to his side. “What is it?”
“Which one do you want?” Your eyes widen, and he makes a gesture for you to choose so that the employee can take it off the rack. You glance at the plushies, letting out a small sound of awe at the sight of the pikachu.
“Are you sure?” You ask again, and Minghao nods his head with a smile. Tentatively, you point towards the pokemon, and the employee takes it off the rack, handing it to you with a smile. You hug it excitedly, Minghao hovering his hand over your back to lead you away from the game stand.
“Thank you for giving it to me Mingming.” You turn your head and look up at him with a bright smile on your face, and Minghao’s eyes widen at the sight. He looks away, blush forming as he hopes for the night sky to hide it from view.
“You looked really disappointed the last three times you’ve lost so I wanted to do something nice for you.” Minghao mumbles, and you nudge him with your shoulder, giggling. You coo at his shyness, feeling your own heart warm at him giving you the prize.
“Let’s play that game!” You squeal, taking Minghao’s hand into your own and running over to the game with the bottles. He lets out a small giggle as you both head towards the stand, feeling the warm air blow past the two of you.
“You guys wanna play?” Minghao nods for you, and the employee scans your guys’ wristbands. Minghao regretfully lets go of your hand as he gets handed the rings to throw onto the bottles.
“If you get all three rings onto three bottles, you win one of the big plushies. If you get two, one of the medium sized ones. If you get one, then you get to choose from the small ones.” You nod your head, already eyeing the big plushies to choose from.
“You wanna play? Or should I?” You wave Minghao away with your hand, already feeling confident in your ability to get all three rings onto one bottle. He smiles, stepping back with his hands raised in the air.
“I got this.” You state. Letting out a breath, you throw the ring, only to miss completely.
Your throw is so poorly aimed, that it ends up hitting the wall behind the bottles. You stare at the bottles in silence, feeling embarrassment flood your body. Minghao snickers behind you, and you look down at the ground.
“Yeah… you really do got this.” The employee mutters, and you sigh in defeat. Turning around, you hand the last two rings for Minghao to throw for you.
Once Minghao manages to win the medium sized panda plushie for you, the two of you walk away from the stand. Holding the two plushies to your chest as if they were your own children, while Minghao walks happily with both hands in his pockets.
“Hey, yn.”
“Mm?”
“You want that appa plushie?” You look in the direction Minghao’s pointing in, and your mouth drops open at the sight of the giant flying bison you’ve always loved.
“YES!”
“Say less.” Minghao grasps your arm softly, pulling you towards the game stand.
“Hi, how can I win appa?” The employee grins at him, quickly explaining the rules to him.
“Since appa is one of the special prizes, you have to pop all ten balloons with the ten darts I give you.” Minghao nods his head in understanding.
“Are you sure you can do all of that Minghao?” He turns his head, giving you a smile, and you feel a blush take over your features at the blessed sight.
The colorful lights of the game stands mirrors over his face, putting emphasis on his pretty eyes as he looks at you. His black hair looks soft to the touch, reflecting a dark shade of the different colors being shown onto him.
ethereal. It’s the only word to describe him.
“I can do anything with you by my side, yn.” And with that, he throws the first dart.
Tumblr media
“Waa! You got appa!” Jun exclaims, reaching out to touch the giant flying bison. The fair is now closing, and the four of you are reunited once again. You grin, telling him that Minghao was the one that actually won the plushie for you. Mingyu and Jun both turn to Minghao, giving him a knowing smirk.
“Oh really now?” Minghao glares at the two, mouthing that he’s going to choke them if they keep teasing him. Mingyu winks in his direction at the threat, and Jun chuckles.
Jun and Mingyu start walking faster, ending up far ahead, leaving you and Minghao alone. The two of you walk in a comfortable silence at first, taking in your surroundings as the fair unwinds. Minghao turns his head to look at you, smiling at the sight of you happily carrying appa as he holds your two other plushies in each hand.
He remembers what Jun told him earlier once again, and he lets out a small sigh.
“Do you love me yn?” You turn towards Minghao, giving him an incredulous look. “Of course I do.”
Minghao sighs again once he realizes that you thought he was asking whether you loved him or not in a friend type way. He looks up towards the stars to gain courage, before glancing back down at you.
“I meant as like, in an i want to date you and hold your hand non-platonically, type of way.” You let out a smile, nudging him with your shoulder.
“Been wondering when you’d notice.” Minghao’s eyes widen, ceasing his movement as he just stares at you in shock. You stop walking as well, turning so that you’re now facing him in front of the fair’s entrance. “What?”
“I’ve been making moves for like, a month, and you haven’t noticed. You’re lucky I don’t give up easily.” Minghao blinks, then blinks again.
“Deadass?”
“Deadass! I don’t just share my fries with anyone, ya know?” Minghao finally lets out a smile, reaching his hand up and fondly patting your head with the pikachu plushie. He later decides that that’s not enough, and pulls you into a hug, appa being between you two as he happily holds you.
“I never thought I was one to be oblivious, but jesus christ.” Minghao reflects, and you chuckle into his chest. You pull away slightly to look up into his eyes, and you take note of the happiness radiating from his gaze.
“Are you going to tell me you love me too? Or are you going to leave me hanging?” He grins down at you, rolling his eyes.
“I love you too.”
“In a friend way or a i want to date you and hold your hand non-platonically type of way?” Minghao chuckles at you quoting him, squeezing you slightly.
“In an I want to date you and hold your hand non-platonically type of way.” You smile contentedly as he releases his hold from around you. Reaching out your hand so that he can intertwine his fingers with yours. Minghao laughs shyly, covering his face with the two plushies for a moment.
“I can’t believe it’s happening.” He mumbles to himself, and you chuckle at the comment. He moves the pikachu plushie to his other arm, before finally intertwining his fingers with yours in a non-platonic way. A big smile immediately taking over his features once he does.
“Hey lovebirds! You guys are slow!” Mingyu yells, and the two of you look up to see him and Jun already waiting by the car. You chuckle at the camera flash from them, knowing that they've been taking pictures the whole time even though they tried to act uninterested.
You and Minghao start walking towards the car, connected hands swinging back and forth as you head over. You hold appa with your free arm, smile unable to leave your face as you walk. Minghao’s the same, sheepish smile continuing to make its way onto his features.
“But wait…” You turn towards Minghao, and he’s staring at you with an amused expression on his face. “You said you don’t give up easily, right?”
“Yeah.”
“Didn’t you give up right after you missed throwing the ring onto the bottle?”
“...I will ignore that comment for the sake of our newfound relationship.”
“That’s fair.”

☆ tct summer collection masterlist
☆ genre: fluff
☆ pairing: hansol vernon chwe x reader
☆ summary: vernon and reader go to the aquarium. that is it.
☆ word count: 1.7k
You bounced your leg up and down as you sat beside Vernon on the train. The scenery outside whooshed past, but there was only one thing on your mind: the aquarium. Vernon smiled at you fondly as he watched you practically buzz with excitement. You had been talking about going to the aquarium for months, reminiscing about your childhood and how you hadn’t been to an aquarium in ages. Then Vernon decided to surprise you with a date to the aquarium. It was his way of making up for the fact that he had been really busy with his summer classes lately and unable to take you on a proper date.
So here you both were, on the train that was going to take you to the aforementioned aquarium. Your brain was already formulating a strategy on how to see everything you wanted to see within the couple of hours you and Vernon had before dinner. Vernon was watching as you pulled out your phone to make a list of the animals you wanted to see. He knew that the minute you got into the building the list would fly out of your head, but it was cute to see you so excited about something.
When the train finally stopped, Vernon was quick to grab your hand, partly because he wanted to hold your hand but also because he was afraid that you were going to run off and he was going to lose you. You two walked hand in hand down the street towards the aquarium. It wasn’t too busy, seeing as it was a Wednesday afternoon and most parents were working. You were practically jumping as Vernon paid for your tickets and led you into the aquarium.
“Where do you wanna head first?” Vernon asked, turning to you. You looked around at the signs that were pointing you guys in the direction of different exhibits. You read each sign before your eyes widened.
“Can we pet the stingrays?” you asked, eyes wide and pleading. Vernon’s heart melted at the sight of your pouty lips and he nodded to you, watching with a smile as you let out a small cheer. You began down the hallway towards the stingray exhibit, humming contentedly to yourself as you pulled Vernon along.
When you finally entered the room, you couldn’t help but smile widely. Turning to Vernon, you were jittering with excitement.
“Come on! I see an empty space over there,” you said, pointing to an empty spot by the tank where the stingrays were happily swimming around.
“I’m right behind you, Bubs.” Vernon followed you as you rushed to claim the spot, eyes following the stingrays that were swimming contentedly around the tank. You reached your hand out and let your hand be submerged as you pet the creature. Your eyes were wide with happiness as you giggled when the stingray swam past, slowing down when it felt your hand.
“I think he likes me, Vern,” you said, sending him a grin. Vernon nodded.
“I don’t see how he couldn’t. You’re amazing.” You flushed at the compliment, watching as Vernon smirked at your reaction to his comment.
“Are you going to join me in petting the stingrays, or are you just gonna ogle me from afar?” you asked, an eyebrow raised. It was Vernon’s turn to flush, moving closer to you and slowly reaching his hand down. A stingray swam past, giving him the chance to pet it. He smiled at the little creature, turning to see you grinning wide at the sight.
“Come on, let’s wash our hands and head to the next exhibit!” Vernon followed you to the next exhibit you wanted to explore, which was the whales. The aquarium you were at had 2 whales in their custody, a beluga whale and an orca whale. You walked up to the glass on the beluga whale enclosure, staring in wonder into the water. In the distance, a shadowy whale figure was swimming along the walls and little pillars in the tank. Vernon felt you squeeze his hand as the whale grew closer and closer until it was directly in front of you both.
“Vern, look! He likes us!” You waved at the whale, nudging Vernon to do the same. With a chuckle, Vernon waved at the whale alongside you. The whale swam around for a bit more, enrapturing you both with its every move.
“Come on. We don’t want the orca to feel left out, do we?” Vernon asked. You smiled at his silliness, walking alongside him as you moved to the next whale tank. The orca was already out and about. You walked over to the plaque, reading the words that were etched in.
“Her name is Millie. She’s only 4 years old!” You said, looking at the small orca. Vernon smiled as you both walked over to her. She was swimming around, seemingly playing around with a little ball that sat on the surface of the water.
“I almost feel bad, she’s all alone,” you said, pouting slightly. Vernon looked down at you, before wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you close. He planted a soft kiss to the top of your head.
“But she’s got all these people that come and visit her. I’m sure she’s content.” You looked up at him and nodded, pecking his cheek as revenge for his head kiss.
“Come on. I think the dolphin show is going to be starting soon.” Vernon and you made your way to the show area, making sure to get the perfect spot to watch the dolphin show. You snuggled close to Vernon, holding his hand tight as the stands got more and more crowded. Vernon smiled to himself, secretly loving when you clung to him like this. He would never admit it, but he was soft for moments like these.
The minute the show started you sat up a little straighter, taking in every word the dolphin trainer said. You occasionally whispered a comment or joke to Vernon, who would just snort or laugh in response to you. You both clapped as the dolphins did some tricks.
“Who wants to see Macy splash?” The crowd cheered and before you knew it you were getting splashed with water. You gasped at the cold water on your face, squeezing your eyes shut. You heard the audience cheer and laugh as you turned to Vernon who was tensed up from the sudden chill. You burst out into laughter as you ran a hand through your now soaking wet hair. Vernon opened his eyes to look at you, laughing at your expression of pure joy.
After the show, Vernon pulled you aside near the wall and reached into his bag.
“Vernon, what’s up?” You asked, giving him a strange look. He pulled a sweatshirt from the bag and handed it to you with a gentle smile.
“I’ve noticed you’ve been shivering since we got splashed.” He said. You stared down at it, a large grin spreading on your face as you pulled the sweatshirt over your head. It was far too big for you, nearly covering the shorts that you were wearing and giving you sweater paws. Vernon felt his heart thump at the sight of you wearing his clothes. It wasn’t the first time, but for some reason it made him feel warm inside. You stared up at him and gave a smirk.
“I hope you know you’re never getting this back.” Vernon groaned jokingly, already well aware that you were a notorious clothes stealer. With a new item of clothing on your body, you took Vernon’s hand in yours and continued on throughout the aquarium.
You let Vernon take the lead for a little bit, smiling when you saw he was leading you to the otter enclosure. The otters were out and about, splashing around and playing. You smiled excitedly as one of the otters came up to the glass by you and Vernon and chirped.
“He’s so cute, Vern,” you said, eyes wide with happiness. Vernon pouted jokingly.
“I think I’m cuter.” You turned to him and gave him a small smile, squeezing his hand.
“You’re absolutely right, baby.” Vernon grinned down at you, before turning his attention back to the pair of cuddling otters that were lazing around in the water.
Before long you and Vernon began to head to the exit. In order to get the entrance again, you needed to pass through a large tunnel that was submerged in one of the tanks. When you entered you were entranced by the fish and aquatic animals that swam around and above you. You moved to the side, with Vernon, not saying a word and just taking it all in. Vernon wasn’t looking at the tunnel, but instead at you.
Vernon knew he liked you a lot. You were beautiful, funny, and smart. You kept up with his stupid humor and even though you were dating, you were also each others best friend. But watching you stare at these creatures, the light from the tank illuminating your face while you were in his sweatshirt made him realize that he was in love with you. That he wanted to spend every moment with you.
You and Vernon hadn’t said ‘I love you’ yet. You were both of the mindset that ‘I love you’ was a special phrase, and neither of you liked to say it unless you really really meant it, that way it kept its meaning. But after a few years of dating, Vernon finally knew that he was in love with you. He wanted to come to the aquarium with you for the rest of his life, see you wearing his clothes everyday, and get to stare at you whenever he wanted.
“I love you,” Vernon blurted out before he could stop himself. Those words drew your attention and you turned to look up at him with wide eyes.
“What?”
“I love you,” he said with much more confidence. Waiting for your response felt like ages, but Vernon’s heart nearly combusted when you smiled so wide he thought it might hurt your face. You grabbed his other hand and leaned up, pressing a light kiss to his lips.
“I love you too, Vernon. I love you very very much.” Vernon smiled down at you, before giving you a hug. You hugged back, making sure to give him a squeeze as you hugged him. You loved being his arms, and you loved him.
As you both walked out of the aquarium, hand in hand, you smiled to yourself. You loved the aquarium, but you loved Hansol Vernon Chwe more.

A TCT SUMMER COLLECTION *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Tumblr media
the alarm ringing at a time you would never find yourself awake during summer, it could only mean you had an important day to look forward to.
today was the beginning of the countdown to the last day of the last summer you had together.
“chan, wake up,” you mumble sleepily at the boy, who was in a deep sleep at the foot of your bed. he scrambled about for a second before going completely still. of course he was back asleep.
you groan at the sight of him cuddling into the blanket, even more in spite of your attempt to wake yourself up and him at the same time. although, it was cuter than you wanted to admit. perhaps your heart went slightly crazy... but that was another issue for another day. or never.
“fine don’t wake up loser, i’ll eat pancakes on my own.”
hearing that, he jumps straight up “i don’t think so.” he glares at you while you sit under the warm blankets amused at his reaction.. he sighs in defeat once he realises it was all a play for him to wake up. of course you wouldn’t indulge in a beautiful breakfast without him.
morning flies by, and before you know it noon comes around. the clock reads three pm and you’re both sprawled over the couch binging ‘a silent voice’ for the nth time. the entire movie makes you sad but after watching it so many times you become immune to the tears.
chan on the other hand, doesn't. like always he finds himself getting teary at the same scenes every time. perhaps that was one of the qualities you adored in him: he never hid how he felt even if he hated the teasing that came with it.
after deciding on a whim you didn’t want to waste the day inside, you switched off the tv and threw a box of tissues at the emotional boy.
“what was that for?” he whines, throwing the tissue box off him.
“wipe your tears. i wanna go out,” you smile cheekily before skipping off to get your shoes on, shortly followed by chan.
“we’re going out in sweats?” he questions, pointing at the lazy attire you had both become accustomed to everytime you were together.
you shrug, grabbing the keys off it’s special hanger. special because it was made by chan himself when you were both in the second grade and making matching key hangers for each other's houses was sentimental you could say. or as your parents said.
when you were both younger, they were convinced you two would grow up together and maybe get married in the future. the two of you became inseparable over a short amount of time - all because of the one day he offered you his juice carton after yours had been stolen by the class bully in the first grade. that was almost twelve years ago now and that same boy was still standing in front of you.
“what are you thinking about?” chan nudges you as the two of you walk down the same road to your usual frozen yoghurt place.
“just some stuff,” you shrug.
“like?”
“pre-school.”
he hums in response, and you take this as an indication to go on.
“our parents really dealt with our crazy friendship the daily playdates... imagine if we ended up how they wanted us to.” you smile fondly, the thought of it all was enough to plaster an expression on your face.
“don’t remind me, they would’ve married us the moment we turned 18 if we left it up to them.” he chuckles. “they think we were meant together”
“do you?” you retort.
“do i what?”
“think that?” you ask not facing him. you would rather not have him fully see the crimson building up on your cheeks.
“i don’t know, i guess. we've been friends for so long, i've never thought about it.”
you nod understandingly and walk the rest of the way in silence, a comfortable one at that. there was never anything else when the two of you were together.
maybe that’s why you didn’t want to let go yet.
Tumblr media
“BEACH DAY!”
“ugh, do you seriously have to scream that down the entire hallway, y/n?”
“yes because it’s beach day!” you yell one more time, forcing a reaction out of him but your amusement quickly dies down after feeling the soft impact of your pillow in your face.
“heh”
chan proudly walks out the room leaving you dumbfounded but you quickly scramble back onto your feet and chase after the boy jumping on his back earning a grunt from the much taller male.
“you suck.” he groans
“be careful you are in my territory little boy” you snicker signalling to your house which had been the location of the endless sleepovers for the summer holidays.
“speaking of, i really should go back home and pick up some more of my stuff before we leave for the beach.” he mentions as he lets you down from his back and the two of you take your seats by the kitchen island.
“oh that’s fine, want me to come with you? i miss your mom anyways.”
“don’t you have your own beach bag to pack?” he asks, grabbing a plate which mimics his actions and starts piling up your plate with his favourite breakfast stuff before passing it over to him.
“i can do it later” you smile now making your own breakfast plate. chan looks down hesitating with it.
“nah it’s okay, i’ll be back quick anyways” he mumbles, picking at the food making you lift a brow without saying anything as you delve into your own happily.
he didn't want to upset you but the small little things you had been doing for him had been harder to let go of as time went by.
however it's not long before breakfast is over and chan waves a quick goodbye before leaving for his own home for the first time in ages. it was quite normal for the two of you to spend a large amount of time at one and others houses both families gave up in trying to send you two back to your respectable homes.
meanwhile you spent the time he was gone packing your own beach bag consisting of the usual tower, sunscreen and one of the disposable cameras you bought for summer memories documenting. chan had laughed at the big box that arrived at your house a month ago especially when you told him it was a box of eight disposable cameras.
“you have your phone plus a polaroid camera, why do you need disposable ones?” he asks curiously prodding at the box.
“these ones come out cuter don’t judge. plus i’ll give you one or two that we use during the many adventures for you to process and hang up the pictures in your new room” you look up at the boy hopefully as he sighs in defeat.
giving yourself a little round of applause you open up the box and immediately grab one of the cameras pulling chan closer to get a selfie.
“this one is to mark the start of our summer adventures documented by a disposable camera.”
Tumblr media
shaking your head you pull yourself out of your daze right on time as the doorbell rings. you only assume it’s chan and you’re right as you open up the door to the boy with his hands filled.
you take one of the bags from his hand letting him into the house.
“what’s all this?” you ask curiously trying to look at the bags as best as you could through the little openings.
“extra clothes, stuff for the beach and snacks my dad brought back from japan for you. he said he forgot to give them the last time”
excitedly you rush over to the bag he held up to you, japanese snacks were one of your favourite and chan's father had made it a regular occurrence to always bring you back some after his long work trips away in osaka.
which was where the family would be moving by the end of summer hence why the two of you spent each day doing something new counting down the days till the moment he stepped onto a plane without you.
noticing the sad look on your face while you looked at the snacks longingly chan threw an arm around your shoulders.
“what’s with the look? come on we’ve got waves to catch y/n”
“i'm gonna miss you” you pout and his gaze softens pulling you away from the bags and into his embrace allowing you to relax in his arms for a bit. he thought this would happen one way or another but he only expected it when it was the last day.
“are you ready to go?” he whispers while rubbing your back and you almost wanted to say no just to be able to stay like this a little longer but nevertheless you pulled a way nodding beginning to walk over to the bags so you could put them away into the car.
the drive to the beach was only peaceful, which was normal when it came to you two. just endless music and comfortable silence but you knew the tension in the air would not decrease anytime soon due to the nature of this entire summer.
“will we still talk when you leave?” you blurt out, failing to face the boy currently sat in the driver's seat.
“why the sudden question?” his face evidently changed to the questioning look he’s always had when he was confused about something.
you shrug and he doesn’t question furthermore which you appreciated because it would’ve been tough having to explain the endless worries in your mind.
reaching forward for his phone you scroll through his playlists until you find the one song that the two of you often found comfort in when together or apart.
Tumblr media
“we have seriously got to get over this song”
‘shut up, i love you’
you laugh at his statement but that doesnt stop the two of you from singing along to the lyrics like it was your own song. you occasionally turned to the other watching him nod along to the song, your heart was in pain. how could you let go of him so soon?
‘you're my best friend’
Tumblr media
another morning, another day crossed off till chan had to leave by the end of summer. the thought of him leaving soon made your stomach churn to the point you wanted to scream. so many unexplained feelings and yet you had to act like everything was okay and making the last few memories this summer would be nothing. you had no energy to get out of bed and do anything today even if you knew that the day would just go to waste.
“so what are we doing today? making more memories?” chan asked right on point with your thoughts almost teasingly.
“you ask that as if i have no reason to do this.” you mumble turning away from the boy and nuzzling further into your blanket.
“there's still time before i leave y/n”
“not enough though, chan.” you finally turn back to him, frustrated that he couldn't understand why you were so keen on spending time with him.
“yeah but i don't want to do all this just for the sake of time, i want to do it because we both love spending time together. don't we?”
you nodded pitifully, struggling with the real reason why it was harder to get through summer. your feelings were a factor in it all but you couldn't find it in you to tell him.
“can we just spend today at yours?” you asked softly, scared if you raised your tone it might betray you somehow.
this time it was his turn to nod before moving closer to you, unsure of what he was going to do. you looked up at the boy who only brought you into his embrace once again, causing your heart to do countless backflips.
“you’ve been giving me a lot of hugs recently.”
“mind your own business”
you giggle, letting your breathing steady at the pace of his. your mind drifts to the fact somehow you only felt this way when he was the cause of it.
he couldn't help but smile to himself when you let go in his arms, allowing him to hold you, physical affection was never a common thing in your friendship.
‘i think our hearts are starting to show’
“let's get ready to leave, hm?” he spoke, almost in a whisper as you pulled away and met his eyes. they had that usual sparkle in them. the one you adored.
Tumblr media
his house, you were always warmly welcomed by mrs lee who treated you like her own child, perhaps that's why you and chan’s friendship was able to last as long as it had, your families ordered each other as much as the two friends did.
“i was wondering when he would bring you around again, how’s summer been so far?” his mom asked as you took your seat on one of the island chairs like you usually would while chan went to grab a bottle of water for you and him.
“it's been okay” you smiled at the woman now sitting across from you with a kind smile waiting for you to continue. “we’ve just been chilling you know how it is.”
“has he confessed his undying love for you yet?”
“mom! what the hell?” chan exclaims in shock trying not to choke on his sip of water and you sit there stunned.
“i'm joking sweetheart” she reassures the two of you noticing the red on either of your faces, giving you a knowing smile before turning away which lingers on your mind slightly longer than you would have wanted.
it takes a moment for chan to calm down and when he does he drags you out of the kitchen to his game room hoping to get away from his mother's endless teasing.
“god, i'm sorry i hate when she does this.” he runs a hand through his hair expressing his frustration and you chuckle nervously.
“does she say this stuff all the time?” you wonder, taking your seat on chan’s gaming chair making him sit on the bean bags on the floor. but he doesn't seem to pay any attention to it while he recovers from the past events.
“sometimes, it's always stuff like when am i going to ask you out or confess or something crazy you know?” he explains, fanning himself.
something crazy… the words stung momentarily as you thought about anything happening between you guys would be crazy to him. nothing would happen anyways, not now.
he shakes his head while walking over to plug in his monitor, “my mom truly believes we’ll end up dating.” he laughs to himself but you only go red at his statement, turning around on the gaming chair dangling your legs trying to distract yourself.
he frowns at the way you turn around but does not question it any further, instead, he picks up two of his game controllers and puts one in front of you before settling back down into the beanbag.
“what are we playing?” you ask finally turning back around
“mario kart?” he states more like a question though and you agree, leaving the gaming chair to sit beside him on one of the other beanbags.
you couldn't help but think how much you were going to miss this, zoning out as you think of the last time you two played.
Tumblr media
“if i win, you have to fulfil one of my wishes, and if you win then… whatever you want.” chan writes it all down on paper kind of like a mock contract and you laugh as he slides it over to you to sign.
“please don't wish for anything crazy or expensive” you beg jokingly.
the only response you get from the boy is a simple wink which directly sends the butterflies into your stomach like every other time he does something.
you guys start your game and immediately the tension rises as the two of you compete for first class, occasionally nudging each other to throw the other off.
“i am going to win this, i promise you.”
your words lose all meaning as the big number two appears beside your character and you huff, mad at the fact you lost to chan once again who had managed to secure first place. it was frustrating how good the boy was at this game.
“what was that?” he lifted his hand to cup his ear teasingly waiting for you to repeat your previous statement.
you shove him away from you and cross your arms still salty at the loss.
“i think i choose to use my wish now.” he looked at you now.
“fine, what is it lee chan?” you kept your arms crossed as you also turned your body to face him.
“i’d like a kiss.”
Tumblr media
you never expected to kiss him that night, and even if it didn't make things too awkward afterwards it only made you sure of the feelings that grew for the boy.
“wanna make a bet if one of us wins?”
you look at the boy stunned at his suggestion.
“did you forget what happened last time?” you ask fiddling with your fingers.
“yeah we kissed, no big deal right?” he turned away to turn on the game and you sat with your face evident with disbelief.
“really? no big deal?”
“huh?” he looks at you, puzzled.
“friends dont just kiss…” you try your best to explain but it felt like it was going over his head from the way he looked at you with so much confusion.
standing up, you unwantedly raise your voice “all summer you keep filling your head up with these things like we can never date and all of that rubbish after we literally kissed not so long ago, does that not mean anything to you?”
“it wouldn't matter anyways, i'm leaving. i’ll be gone soon.”
“that doesn't mean we won't stop talking. you said so yourself.” you fretted with a pleading look.
he looks at you saying nothing and you can only scoff feeling all the blood rush up to your head in anger before opening the door to leave. staying would only make things worse and you knew he wouldn't try and resolve anything if you did.
“where are you going?” he calls out as you’re about to go down the stairs with tears of frustration filling up your eyes.
turning around, you respond quietly to the boy, “is that all you’re going to ask?”
“what do you want me to say, y/n?”
you laugh in disbelief and struggle to keep yourself from choking out any tears, “i’ll give you time to think about it.”
with that you make sure to compose yourself enough to wave at mrs lee with a big smile by the time you’re down the stairs and she responds with a pitiful one, she most likely had heard you both. letting yourself out, you also let out the breath you’d been holding, leaving your childhood best friend all alone for the first time this summer.
Tumblr media
walking home all alone was the worst part because your overwhelming emotions would not stay inside of you causing you to spill every sadness filled tear onto the pavements you walked on.
you made your way inside your house and without greeting your parents you locked yourself away to wallow in your sorrows for that entire weekend occasionally letting your mom in to comfort you without telling her the reason to your sadness unaware that at one point your parents worriedly notified chan you weren't feeling good sometime, it was only till you heard your mom softly knock on your door to tell you the said boy was waiting for you downstairs.
your heart wouldn't quit racing in your chest as you opened the door to her soft eyes begging you to talk to him after realising whatever happened was something to do with him. so you follow her downstairs, making your way into the living room where chan was sitting uncomfortably on the couch hoping for you to show yourself. you walked as slowly and quietly as you could trying not to notify him of your presence but that didn't work when you heard his voice call out your name making you shut your eyes tight in pain.
“i know you’re there y/n please talk to me”
freezing on the spot you decided not to go further into the room in fear of bursting into a sob at the sight of him. so you sit on the floor behind the wall separating you two.
“im listening.” you call out as quietly as possible.
“i'm assuming you’re not going to come in, that's okay.” he nods to particularly no one, perhaps himself.
it was silent as chan inhaled deeply, thinking about how what he was going to say would change things.
the atmosphere got more awkward by the second which was a new feeling for the both of you, never once had there been such a moment together.
“i'm sorry”
“i’m sorry we never sat down to talk about our feelings much lately. i feel like everythings been about me and the fact i'm…” he stopped mid sentence he was hesitating although it was inevitable one way or another you would be hearing this out loud again.
“i'm leaving y/n and i don't want to leave without telling you that you do mean more to me than just a best friend.”
your eyes widened in shock as you stood up hoping to run away from this situation but chan was one step ahead of you as he held onto your wrist, a gentle but burning touch that pulled you back towards him.
“maybe i'm too late but i'd like you to know later than never. so please say something?” he pleads, searching your eyes for some sort of a non verbal answer while waiting for you to speak up.
“you’re leaving next week… good luck.” you whisper, straining your voice enough so it wouldn't break. “im sorry too.” you pull out from his grip and walk off to your room without making eye contact with your mom who stood by the staircase with a pitiful look, all meant for you and the boy you left standing alone in your own house.
and when he left you knew that was the last time you’d see him.
Tumblr media
“chan? you’re home quite early. how was y/n’s?”
he looked at his dad with a blank expression and shrugged his shoulders, his mom hadn't told him she saw y/n leave upset.
“it's going to be tough but i hope you’re both ready to say your goodbyes soon,” he smiled, giving his son a pat on the back.
if only it was like that and if only he could go back to reverse all the stupid things he said.
the blank feeling burdened you also as you caught a glimpse of the photos you had already gotten processed from your disposable camera.
letting go now would make it easier for the two of you when the time came though in your heart he would still be the most important person for a while until he wasn't. maybe in another world something would be different so the two of you wouldn't be where you are right now, instead in a much happier place.
perhaps in that happier place you would’ve said goodbye…

An Un(convention)al Meeting [Online Friend!Joshua]
Synopsis: You're meeting your online friend of five years for the first time.
[bulletpoint/first meeting]
Tumblr media
You were anxiously waiting at a coffee shop, embracing the free AC.
Why were you at a coffee shop, you may ask?
You were finally about to meet your online bestie!!!
It has been a long time coming, and the perfect opportunity to meet has finally surfaced.
Your convention pass was dangling around your neck and you were sipping a cold brew as you waited for your friend to arrive.
It all started when you joined a group chat of people who wanted to have discussions after the latest episode of a series you watch.
Everyone seemed to have a different opinion from you, and you were being slandered for it so you went quite for the rest of the discussion
BUT THEN
AFTER A FEW MINUTES
SOMEONE MESSAGED YOU
His username was JellyDonut, and he told you that you could have whatever opinion you wanted.
That’s honestly what started this “friendship” of yours (if you could call it that).
Whenever your point of view was being judged, he always had your back and made you feel better.
Because of this, you two found out a lot about each other over the years.
You two had similar interests and were in a lot of the same fandoms, so it wasn’t a surprise that you two became good friends.
Conversations between the two of you first started off as simple discussions, but that soon became about daily life, and what you were doing at every moment you messaged each other.
Over the past five years, you and JellyDonut (or J, as he liked to be called) had shared a lot about each other. You knew of his favorite foods, places to visit, what his friends were like, and he knew the same things about you. Never once had you two mentioned your locations, shared your faces of voice, or even the possibility of meeting.
Not until a convention was coming up in your city, and you two actually had time to go.
You planned in advance where to meet and what to wear so that you two were recognizable to each other (you two had never exchanged photos of each other, after all.)
You two ended up deciding on the coffee shop you were sitting in now, close to the convention but not too crowded.
You were taking small sips of your drink, glancing between your phone and outside of the cafe every now and then.
But then the familiar jingle of your phone rang through your ears.
J: I’m here
Looking around, you found the boy you were looking for.
He was so pretty omg
He was taller than you expected. His hair was nicely styled, and the outfit he chose to wear fit him well.
You waved at him and he saw you.
He smiled and walked over.
“It’s so nice to meet you!” He said as he took the seat next to you.
“It’s nice to meet you too, J!”
“My name’s Joshua...”
You two exchanged names and more personal social media because
y o u   t w o   h a v e   f i n a l l y   m e t
LOOK OUT WORLD, THE ULTIMATE DYNAMIC DUO HAS UNITED
The both of you had an awesome day at the convention. You showed Joshua the best food and tea places, and hauled a bunch of merch you guys at bought at the convention itself.
You two ended the long day with some dessert from a shop a few streets away from the convention.
Stepping out of the shop with dessert in hand, Joshua asked, “Hey, y/n, do you want to take a picture?”
“Oh, yeah sure!”
He pulled out his phone and opened the camera app.
You got kind of nervous because his face was right next to yours.
Apparently you were a lot more nervous than you thought because the only thing you were able to register in your brain was that something was on your cheek???
You froze up from that.
What even was-
“Why’re you still standing there? We should get back before it gets too dark.”
Joshua was already a few steps ahead of you, smiling with a hint of mischief in his eyes.
This guy’s cheeky as f-

in the rain
Yoon Jeonghan x (gender neutral) reader
Words: 3k
nothing says summer like spending hours upon hours in a car together. at least nothing’s boring with jeonghan
day 6 of a tct summer collection
(my masterlist)
Tumblr media
There’s something about road trips, intoxicating and refreshing and energizing and addicting. There’s something about the ideal of cruising down the highway as the scenery flashes past quicker than you can see, rolling over the hills and saying hello to the horizon at the peaks.
And so what if the RV is old and can’t quite hold at 65 mph on any incline above 20 degrees, and so what if there are two beds and an air mattress for the five of you to split, and so what if Jeonghan blew half his meal budget on cheez its and peanut butter and Mingyu bought more noodles and meat and ingredients than you can fit in the cabinets for meals you probably can’t make on the RV stove, and Minghao brought wine and ritz crackers and Chan showed up with eight pounds of candy and about as much instant ramen, and so what if you almost ran out of gas in the dead space between towns and every time you turn things fall off shelves and counters and leave those in the back scrambling to make sure nothing breaks? Road trips are about the adventure (“Shut up, Jeonghan, they are!”) and a trip without complications is just driving next to cows, and what’s so special about that?
Jeonghan’s limbs had reportedly started to atrophy behind the wheel (“I’m petrifying into a tree, we have to switch out!”), so he’d pulled into a rest stop to allow time for everyone to stretch their legs in a way that wasn’t probably illegal. This particular rest stop, you notice, has several dinosaur statues lined up by the picnic tables, and there’s only one other group there, a rowdy family ferrying food to and from a camper parked nearby.
The younger three, naturally, gravitate directly for the dinosaurs, yelling, “Chan, it’s Chan!” (with the exception of Chan himself, who seemed split between joining the joke or pretending he didn’t know them). Mingyu swings himself onto the tallest of the brontosauri with infuriating ease.
“It’s not fair,” you complain, struggling to climb on while using the baby stegosaurus statue as a step. “He should be struggling the most! He doesn’t know how to use those limbs!”
Mingyu sticks his tongue out at you, scooting away. “Yes I do!”
“He’d make a good gas station balloon,” Minghao notes, a slight smirk on his face. Mingyu flips around to make a face at him too, but Minghao just raises the camera hanging around his neck and snaps a picture, his smile only growing.
Jeonghan eventually steps in and supports your foot so you can crawl onto the dinosaur’s back. By the time you pull him up behind you, the other three have finished with the brontosaurus and wandered over to the T-Rex.
“I can’t believe it, he’s not even going to take a picture.” You click your tongue. “What do we keep that kid around for?”
“Wine, mostly,” Jeonghan says.
You sigh. “He does have pretty good taste.” You take out your phone. “Well, who needs him anyway?”
It takes a little bit of maneuvering to get the dinosaur’s face in with both of yours. The sculptor made the dino’s face just a touch too tall for an easy photo op, but you manage. Jeonghan’s breath is hot on your neck as he presses against you, and you pretend it isn’t making your hair stand up.
And then the picture is taken and he slides off the side of the dinosaur, heading over to the T-Rex.
You stay on the brontosaurus for a moment, watching him laugh at Mingyu trying to lift Chan onto the dinosaur’s shoulders (his whole face lights up and his head goes back; he never laughs long but you can’t look away).
Then you go inside.
He comes up next to you while you’re watching the screen with the weather forecast, tracking the green blob of the storm swirling over the roads.
“What’s the verdict?” he asks.
“We’re gonna be driving into it,” you say, surveying it. “From what I can tell, it’s just rain, so we should be fine.”
“Should?”
You shrug. “If I say anything definitive I’m going to jinx it.” You keep your eyes on the map. “If it gets too bad we can find a spot to pull off the highway and wait for it to blow over.”
“We can’t just wait it out?”
“We’re running late as it is, I don’t know if we have that kind of time. Jihoon’s gonna be ticked if we don’t show and I refuse to get on his bad side.”
“Aw, he’s all talk.”
“I’ve heard Mingyu bring up the story of his guitar more times than I can count, I’d rather not get my own the first time I meet him in person.”
He snickers, and you glace to the side to see him looking at you. You turn your gaze back to the forecast and pretend your heartbeat is normal.
“Well, if he tries anything I’ll tell him the story of my old friends who crashed and died driving in a rainstorm,” Jeonghan says.
“You had friends who died?”
“Nope,” he says cheerfully, “but Jihoon can’t prove that.” He leans his head on your shoulder. “And I’d rather my answer not change because of some rainstorm, okay?”
“No worries,” you say, reaching over to run your fingers through his hair. “Quick but careful, that’s my motto. Nobody’s dying on this road trip.”
Death is not a good road trip adventure.
The clouds break as you follow the highway across the wide flat ranching fields. In seconds, the curvature of the earth’s horizon is masked by a curtain of rain. You flick on the headlights and slow down, sitting farther up in your seat as though that will let you see into the distance.
“Lucky this isn’t road trip season,” you say. You haven’t seen another car on the road for at least an hour.
“Yeah,” he echoes. “Lucky.”
His face is barely reflected in the window, distorting with each sweep of the wipers. You chance a glance. His knuckles are white on the armrest as he stares out the windshield.
“This is nothing,” you say. “It’s a baby storm. Did I ever tell you about the time I delivered pizzas during a hurricane?”
“Did they give you hazard pay?”
“Only like two bucks. Can you believe it?” You click your tongue. “Fuck Pizza Hut, am I right?”
He huffs something like a laugh, so you keep going. “Got a twenty dollar tip from this one guy who looked like he was in the middle of an intense dnd game, and I mean intense. Either that or it was a Lord of the Rings marathon, man looked like Gandalf.”
“But was it a good Gandalf?”
“I mean, I was convinced.”
“That’s not saying much, you were convinced by that kid in a hulk mask too.”
You gasp in mock outrage. “If I weren’t driving I’d smack you,” you threaten. “And he had the hands and bodysuit, too, he was the real deal! You couldn’t tell either!”
He actually snickers, but doesn’t argue. You’d both fought over the privilege of handing candy to the child, that last fall.
“And anyway, that wasn’t even the weirdest delivery I made that night.”
“I guess that makes sense, only the crazies call for a pizza in a hurricane.” His reflection in the window smiles, and even though you’re driving you dare to chance a glance; his face is lit up with a smile, his hand relaxed on the armrest. “Who was the weirdest?”
“Weird but wholesome, it was this older gentleman who spent like three minutes searching his wallet, I mean thank god he had a covered porch or I would’ve gotten even more soaked. His wife gave me these plums for a tip; I looked them up and it turns out they’re actually illegal, it was wild.”
He clicks his tongue. “You got tipped in illegal plums and you didn’t even share them with me?”
“This was before I met you guys. Those plums were long gone by the time I was in a spot to share them with you.” The pounding rain has died down enough that you feel confident enough to peel your hand away from the wheel to pat his thigh. “Don’t worry, if I get tipped in any other illegal foods I’ll be sure to share.”
He swats your hand away, but he’s laughing.
It’s still raining when you pull into the campground, but not pouring. A pleasant sprinkle, really. Jeonghan still complains about it as he and the others try to give you directions to back into the spot. Most of the directions conflict, and based on the way Minghao keeps shaking his head at the others, you probably could’ve been backed into the spot 30 minutes ago if not for-- well, whatever competition is going on behind you. Oh well.
By the time you finally throw the camper into park and get the awning pushed out, Mingyu has already gotten the portable grill out of the cabinet and set up outside, although he’s having trouble with the lighter. The RV is always stocked with six or seven of the stick lighters, but they’re pretty much guaranteed to be on their last dregs no matter when you try to use them. He’s already halfway through the collection, his brow furrowed in concentration as he pulls the spark trigger over and over, the flame only catching for a few seconds.
Jeonghan skips over, calling your name. “Come on,” he all but whines, “let’s go explore!”
“Weren’t you the one who was just complaining about how wet you were getting?” You glance out at the picnic table, which is still getting rained on even as Minghao and Chan struggle to drag it under cover.
“That was just because you were all safe and dry in the RV.” He wraps his arms around you and rubs his dripping hair against your shirt.
“Rude!” you yelp, pushing him away, but you’re laughing, and so is he. You huff, crossing your arms. “Well I was going to, until you started using me as your towel.”
“Well you’re all wet now, you can get a little more wet!”
There’s a barely a damp spot on your shoulder, but he’s got a shit eating expression and even that lights up his face.
“Oh no,” you say, “I’m soaked.”
He grins and takes you by the arm, dragging you fully into the rain. “We’ll be back in an hour,” he calls.
“Text me if you find the bathrooms,” Chan hollers back.
There’s a surprising amount of other campers parked around. A few have adults sitting on folding chairs, outside under an awning, cans in their hands. They wave cheerfully as you pass.
“That’s probably the bathroom,” you note, pointing at the building. It’s so dirty on the outside that you wonder if maybe it would be better in the long run to just take turns in the RV’s shower; most outdoor bathrooms like this are pretty gross inside.
“I’ll text Channie.” Jeonghan takes out his phone, bowing his head to block the screen and types out the message. You giggle watching his wet fingers slip across the screen. He bats distractedly in your general direction, finally managing to land a hit only once the message is sent, his phone in his pocket once again.
You find a playground at the bend in the road, where it doubles back to wind around to the exit. Jeonghan shouts, “Race you!” and takes off across the slick grass.
“False start!” you yell back, and even though he has way too much of a lead for you to catch up, you still take off after him. You see his foot slip out from underneath him once or twice, but the speed of his run keeps him from falling entirely. It makes for a funny picture either way, and you find yourself slipping as you laugh.
He seizes one of the swings, all but launching himself into the air. You skirt around his feet, ducking under his hand as he reaches out, as though to pat your head on the way by. There’s a puddle of water in the swing, but you’re already soaked from the rain that patters steadily onto your head, so what’s a little more?
Still, you wipe it off before you sit down.
Within moments, you’ve caught up to his altitude, the height of each swing leaving you floating at the peak before gravity takes over, jolting you onto the seat again.
“You’re better than I thought,” he says, flying past you, going forward as you swing back.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Your head follows him as you swing by again.
“Nothing.” You hear the grin in his voice.
“I’ll have you know, I was the swingset champion in every school and every camp I ever went to.”
“How many schools did you go to that had a swingset?”
“Sir that is entirely beside the point.”
His laugh rings out. “Right, right, of course.” Rain hits your face as you swing forward (or maybe your face hits the rain?). “I suppose that means you’ve gone all the way around the top bar before?”
“Of course,” you say. “And I nailed a kid in the head with a paper airplane from the peak of a jump off the swing.”
That seems to pique his interest. “Yeah? How many times did you manage that?”
“Once, and then they sent me to the office bc the kid started crying, but it was a good once.”
“If I gave you my shoe, would you be able to throw it to me from the swing?”
You almost slip off the swing. “Jeonghan I’m not going to throw a shoe at your head!”
“Not at my head! Just, to me. Like a gentle toss, so I can catch it and no one receives any bodily harm on the road trip.”
You breathe out. That makes more sense. Bodily harm is not a good road trip adventure.
He digs his feet into the trenches below the swing to stop his momentum, stumbling forward across the playground. He tosses a couple woodchips at you when you giggle, before slipping his shoe off.
“Dude, you’re gonna get your foot all muddy and then what?”
He yanks off his sock. “Then you’ll have to carry me to the RV sink.”
“Or I’ll hose you down in the yard; I saw a couple spigots on the way over and those bitches are icy cold.”
He wipes the shoe in the grass before lining up the shot, planting his foot on the ground. “Alright, catch!”
He misses.
When you’re done laughing at him, he tosses it again, this time actually managing to get it to you, even though it lands kind of wildly against your lap. You lean back for a few good swings, regaining the altitude you lost from the distraction of the catch and the laughter.
“Ready?”
Your first throw goes wild. The second nails him in the chest. The third he actually manages to catch.
By the tenth you’ve graduated to trick shots. He leaned over the playground equipment nearby and caught it. He tossed it to you from under his leg, and you caught it. You threw it over the bar and under the bar and with your nondominant hand and backwards and he caught it again and again.
“Alright, time for the jump.” You adjust your grip on the swing.
“You’re sure this is safe?”
“Of course it is.” You gesture for him to toss you the shoe, which he does. No trick shots that time. “I’ve done it before, remember?”
He looks oddly worried as he resumes his position on the ground a short distance away.
“Relax babe,” you say, “I got this.”
He straightens up at the nickname, a smile flashing across his face. “Alright,” he says, rubbing his hands together. “Whenever you’re ready, babe.”
(you like when he calls you that)
You take two swings, building up the momentum. He takes two steps, eyes focused on you.
You let go.
The shoe leaves your hand, and your feet hit the ground, and then the woodchips slide and your balance is lost and your hands slam into the ground too.
He calls your name.
You huff out a breath, and then another, processing.
“Are you okay?” His hand is on your shoulder, and his eyes dart over you as he checks for injuries.
“Totally fine,” you say. “Did you catch the shoe?”
He huffs, half exasperated and half amused. “That’s your priority?”
“Listen dude, I didn’t just make the sickest trickshot of the year just for you to drop the shoe cause I broke my ankle.”
He shoves your shoulder and you clutch it like he’s wounded you, dropping to the ground with a grin.
“Of course I caught it,” he says. “I would’ve caught you too but you jumped the wrong way.”
You scoff. “Alright, that’ll be the next trick shot.”
For a second you think he might actually be considering it, but his phone rings. He answers, listening for a few seconds before moving it away.
“Mingyu got the grill working,” he says to you. “Chan added helpfully from the background that if we’re done kissing we can come back for food.”
You raise your eyebrow. “We’re kissing?”
He shrugs. “If you want.”
He says it flippantly, but his eyes trail over your lips.
You stand up, helping him up after. Your hands linger. He’s still looking, and you find your eyes drifting too.
You lean in, quickly, before you can change your mind, and press a soft kiss against the corner of his mouth. He freezes, and then pulls you close, a real kiss this time. It’s like a fire exploding, and the chill of the rain is forgotten. You can hear a faint “Ew!” from the phone still held in Jeonghan’s hand, and you feel him smirk against your mouth.
You break apart, staring.
And then you take off like a shot across the grass. “Race you!”
You hear his footsteps chasing after you. “Hey, no fair! I’ve only got one shoe!”
Throwing your head back, you laugh, the rain slamming into your face.
(like a call and response, his laughter reaches your ears. it sounds like a sunrise)

Tumblr media
You told him to leave the house earlier and go faster because you don’t want to make a tent in the dark. You told him, but he didn't listen to you. Seokmin remembered that he needed to meet up with Jeonghan and Soonyoung, and thanks to them, you are now mad at your boyfriend.
You were mad and sleepy, so before you two were even at your destination, you fell asleep.  Now you were here for almost 15 minutes, but Seokmin didn't want to wake you up, so he sat next to you in silence and looked at you.
“Baby, wake up, we are here,” he whispered in your ear. When you opened your eyes, you looked at him and turned to the other side. You are soooo mad at him and he knows this. That's why he tried everything to make you smile.
"Leave me alone! I don't want to look at you right now."
Seokmin only sighed. After a while, he got out of the car only to open the door on your side. Seeing his face in front of you when you opened your eyes again, you snorted.
"Sweetheart, come on. You can't be mad at me..." He made his puppy eyes.
How you could be angry for him when he make faces like this?
A few seconds later, he  pulled you out of the car and sprayed kisses all over your face.
"Okay, it's over, I promise." Now all you have to do is set up your tent before it gets completely dark.

Magnitude and Direction, Issue #33 | 17 May 2019
Hardware, Prototyping, and Fabrication
How to build anything with delrin and a laser cutter. (I've been a big advocate for laser cutter-based manufacturing for a while, so this is a great breakdown of all the things you can make pretty quickly and cheaply with that machine, plus a very handy, widely used plastic.)  If I shared this before, then it was a while ago and it's worth bringing back for the M&D audience (especially now that there are more of you!). This is a guide from Autodesk for every piece of machinery in their Pier 9 workshop in San Francisco (which I, unfortunately didn't get to go to while I was out there). ⚔ Adafruit designed a fully 3D print-able collapsing lightsaber (just like the toy ones Toys R' Us used to sell, RIP) and you know I'm making a set over the weekend for dueling purposes.
Software and Programming
This CSS-only web chat app is definitely not a good idea, but at least its creator(s) are aware of that. Have you ever wanted to make cool *~*aesthetic*~* generative art (think Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures" album cover)? Of course you have, and now there are some easy tutorials for you to follow.  A classic from the Transit Techies meetup, TransitFlow is software designed to make it easy to visualize the ebb and flow of multiple transit modalities simultaneously through both time and space. TL;DR: this code makes pretty maps!
Science, Engineering, and Biomedicine
Just on its own, this picture of the Large Magellanic Cloud (a galactic satellite of our Milky Way) is incredibly impressive. It's capture is all the more impressive, though, because of the group that captured it: a small collection of amateur astronomers. ➡ Since we're on the opposite side of the calendar from winter (at least in the northern hemisphere) I think it's now safe to show this amazing video of a drop of water becoming a snowflake.  This galaxy simulator from Columbia's Department of Astronomy isn't the first intergalactic simulator I've shared here, but it is one of my favorites and produces some of the most beautiful results. It isn't actively supported on Columbia's servers anymore, though, so the link here is via the Internet Archive. If you have any trouble getting to it, drop me a line.
Mapping, History, and Data Science
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Children's Book Week a few weeks ago, the Library of Congress has released a free collection of their oldest children's books, with some of them dating back to the 1700s. Personally, I'm very curious to learn the plot details of The Cat's Party.  It turns out that, like most other things, there's no such thing as a truly original logo design. For tomorrow's edition of Moment of Inertia, I'll be exploring this theme of "originality" and what it means in the internet age in greater detail.  The study you never knew you needed to see: A comparison between the graffiti in men's and women's bathrooms.
Events and Opportunities
Did you realize I forgot to change the intro to this section in the last edition of M&D? In any case, there's a lot of exciting stuff coming up as we start heading towards summer.

Thursday & Friday, 6/20-21 The Biodesign Challenge Summit 2019 on June 20th and 21st at Parsons School of Design and the Museum of Modern Art brings together 36 teams from 9 countries to present their visions for the future of biotechnology. Use code SUMMITVIP115 for a free pass.
Map of the Month
It only has the years 2011 to 2013, but this map of all the filming locations in NYC is pretty fun to explore. On my block during that period, one movie was filmed: New Year's Eve staring well..., a bunch of people.
Odds & Ends
With very little to work from the Image-to-Image AI will generate some pretty reasonable pictures of everyday objects.

☆ tct summer collection masterlist
☆ genre: fluff
☆ pairing: xu minghao x reader
☆ summary: while spending your summer in a small town where your grandma lives, you meet another artist and photographer named minghao
☆ word count: 5.5k
Crystal blue waves lapped onto the golden shore, nearly drenching your toes in the water. You stared out at the large lake that your grandmother’s home town resided beside. Despite the fact that you had come here basically every summer since you were born, you never got tired of the lake. The ever-flowing motion of its waters, the endless squawks from seagulls flying overhead, and most importantly the people that surrounded the lake.
You smiled as you took out your phone, eager to take a picture that you could use as a reference for a painting or mural later. But for right now, you were plenty content roaming the familiar streets, letting the inspiration and sunlight soak in.
You found yourself walking to the local ice cream parlor, a cute little restaurant that had been around since the 60s. You walked in, letting the AC cool you down as you made your way to the counter.
“Y/N! Hello darling, what can I get you?” Mr. Han, the man that ran the parlor, smiled at you as you walked up. Mr. Han had run this shop since you could remember, always eager to serve you whatever ice cream you desired as a child.
“Hi, Mr. Han. The usual, if you don’t mind,” you replied, handing him the exact amount of money. You had ordered this treat so many times that you knew exactly the cost. Mr. Han smiled before moving behind the counter to prepare your usual ice cream order. Once the ice cream treat was safely in your hands, you waved Mr. Han goodbye before stepping out and heading to the pier.
Not many people frequented the pier, mostly fishermen or couples who just wanted to sit. You liked to come here to sketch and take photos, but also to just relax. It was a quiet place for you to think, uninterrupted except for your own thoughts. You made your way to the pier, ice cream already gone, but stopped when you noticed something, or someone, unusual.
Your grandma’s home town was small, so over the years you had been here you had met and were acquainted with all of the residents. Your grandma hadn’t mentioned any new people moving in, so your curiosity was piqued when you noticed an unfamiliar boy sitting at the edge of the pier, where you usually sat when you visited. As you moved closer, you noticed that the boy was holding a camera and was looking down at what you assumed to be a photo he just took.
“That’s a pretty photo,” you commented, leaning down slightly. The boy jumped ever so slightly, pressing his camera to his chest as you turned to face you. You were stunned at how attractive this new boy was. His skin was smooth, and he wore round glasses that made his sparkling eyes even bigger. His hair framed his face and he somehow managed to look both innocent and mature at once. You smiled at you straightened up.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you. I just haven’t seen you around before. Mind if I sit?” you asked. The boy gave a curt nod, scooching over slightly so you could plop down beside him, your feet dangling over the lake.
“Anyway, that was a beautiful photo. This is one of the prettiest spots to take them, in my opinion,” you said, staring out at the lake. From the pier, you could see the sun hit the water, causing it to shimmer with its every move.
“Thank you. I just stumbled upon this place, but it’s gorgeous,” the boy finally spoke. You hummed in agreement before turning to him and placing your hand out.
“My name is Y/N,” you said. The boy smiled, reaching one hand out to shake yours. His handshake was firm, but his hands were warm and soft.
“Nice to meet you, Y/N. My name is Minghao,” he said. You smiled. A cute name for a cute face.
“Hope I’m not intruding by asking, but do you live around here? You said I was unfamiliar,” Minghao asked. You smiled.
“Only in the summers. My grandma lives here, and I’ve been coming to spend summer with her since I was a baby. I know pretty much everyone in this town, but you looked new,” Minghao nodded.
“I see. Well, I’m just here for the summer as well. I go to college in the city, a couple of hours from here, and some of my friends thought it would be fun to go somewhere new over the summer for ‘inspiration’.” You giggled at his air quotes.
“Well, you chose the right town. This place has never let me down on the creativity and inspiration front. It may be small, but this place is overflowing with character,” you chirped, smiling warmly. You began to ramble on about your favorite areas of the town, from the ice cream parlor to the campgrounds, to the trolley service, to the hidden waterfalls in the forest.
You were so busy rambling that you didn’t notice how Minghao was staring at you, eyes glossy as you took in your features. He may have just met you, but you were already captivating him. From the way you flung your arms around wildly to emphasize your feelings, to the way you would laugh when remembering a funny memory at a certain place, it felt like it was impossible for Minghao to take his eyes off of you. He didn’t even hear when you stopped talking and turned to him, waiting for an answer.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t catch that last bit,” Minghao said, blinking a couple of times to bring himself back to reality. You smiled, rolling your eyes playfully.
“I asked if you wanted me to show you around tomorrow? I can show you some great places to take photos if you want,” you offered. Minghao nodded almost instantly.
“That sounds wonderful. Can I bring my friends along?” he asked, almost regretting the question the minute it escaped his mouth.
“Of course, the more the merrier. We can meet at my grandma’s house. Here, give me your phone.” Minghao was quick to relinquish his phone to you, watching as you typed in your contact name and number.
“Text me and I’ll give you the address and the time,” you stated before standing up.
“I should get back home, it’s my night to make dinner. I’ll see you tomorrow, Hao!” you exclaimed, smiling as you waved before rushing down the pier and out of sight. Minghao watched you leave, smiling to himself, and then proceeded to look back out to the lake, camera ready to take more pictures.
The next afternoon, you said goodbye to your grandma as you locked the door behind you. Minghao and his friends weren’t there yet, but you didn’t mind. You took this moment as an opportunity to take in the fresh air, the smell of the lake wafting from a distance away.
“Y/N!” You turned towards the voice, smiling when you saw Minghao and a few new faces walking towards you.
“Hey, guys!” You exclaimed, waving at them. The group of boys stopped in front of you, all smiling at you warmly.
“These are my friends, Jun, Vernon, Chan, and Seungkwan.” He said, pointing to each boy as they were introduced. You waved to each of them, before introducing yourself.
“You guys ready to start your tour?” you asked. The boys nodded eagerly, prompting you to begin to walk down the sidewalk and towards the town. You made small talk with the boys, telling them little stories about your childhood summers spent in the town. Within a couple of minutes, you were standing in front of your first destination.
“Welcome to younger Y/N’s favorite spot: the candy store.” You smiled, opening the door. The candy shop was old fashioned in almost every way. The walls were painted a pastel pink color with cream accents and lined high with jars of different candies, along with center tables that also housed different candies and bags for holding the candies. A little bell rang as you stepped in, alerting Mrs. Dalton of your presence.
“Y/N! Lovely to see you dear!” Mrs. Dalton greeted from behind the counter. You gave her a soft smile and a wave before looking to the boys.
“Feel free to look around and buy anything you like. Some of the candies are common candy like the Reeses, but stuff like the salt-water taffy is all handmade by the Daltons!” you explained, gesturing to different things. The boys were instantly drawn to the candies, and you smiled as you watched them walk around, Minghao with his camera out and ready. You walked up to the counter and smiled at Mrs. Dalton.
“Do you have any of those homemade lollipops?” You asked. Mrs. Dalton gave you a sly smirk, before pulling a blue and white swirled lollipop out of a jar from behind the counter.
“Mr. Dalton made the blue ones just for you, dear.” You melted at the kindness of the older couple before handing Mrs. Dalton 5 dollars.
“Keep the change, Mrs. Dalton. And tell your husband thank you,” you said. The older woman smiled, and you turned your attention back to the boys, licking your lollipop. They were walking around, picking up and examining different sweets. You made eye contact with Minghao as he picked up a saltwater taffy, giving you a warm smile as he placed it in his bag.
After the boys bought some sweets, you exited the candy shop before heading to your next destination. Even though you had been there the day before, you still loved the ice cream parlor more than anything. You knew the minute you offered to show Minghao and his friends around that you needed to bring them to Han’s. Entering in for the second time that week, you smiled at Mr. Han.
“I’m back!” You joked, causing the man to laugh.
“This certainly is a very welcome and pleasant surprise. Can I get you the usual?”
“Sure. I’m gonna pay for these guys too.” You said, motioning to the 5 boys behind you. After giving their orders and paying, you got your ice cream and went to sit in one of the booths.
“This place is adorable,” Seungkwan commented, staring at the decor of the ice cream parlor as he ate his ice cream. You nodded, taking a bite of your treat.
“This decor is the original decor from the 60s. My grandma said it has hardly changed since it was made.” You explained. Minghao had his camera out, taking different photos. That was when your attention was drawn to one of your favorite things.
“Jun, do you have a quarter?” you asked. Jun nodded, fishing the coin out of his pocket. With a bounce in your step, you made your way to the old fashioned jukebox that the parlor had. After depositing the change and selecting Island In the Sun by Weezer, you began to bop to the song, soon dragging Jun and Chan out to dance with you. The two laughed as you began to twist around, dragging them along with your dance moves. When the song finished, you laughed and smiled going back to the booth, unaware of Minghao’s fond gaze on you as you slid back into the booth next to him.
With your ice cream finished, you guys headed out again, this time to a nearby trolly station. Walking into the small building, you greeted the worker with a smile, before asking for 6 tickets that would take you guys to the campgrounds. With a smile and a wave, you led the guys outside to where one of the trolleys was parked on the street waiting.
“Heya John! Is it just us?” you asked, boarding the red vehicle. John nodded, giving you a big grin.
“Yep! Just you guys,” John said. You sat down, the boys following suit before the trolley began its journey to the campgrounds. They weren’t too far away, but the trolly took the scenic route. This allowed you to point things out, sticking your hand out the window and pointing at different things here and there. It also gave Minghao an opportunity to take more photos. Fifteen minutes later you were in the forest, with the campgrounds sign in view.
“Thank you!” you called as John drove away, before leading the boys into the campgrounds and to a trail.
“I saved my favorite place for last,” you said, eyes sparkling as you led them farther from the campsite. After a bit of walking, you made a sharp turn into a small hidden lake in the forest, complete with a rushing waterfall.
“Damn, this is beautiful!” Vernon said, mouth slightly agape. You nodded before you set your small backpack down. With a swift movement, you took off your top to reveal a swimsuit underneath, before jumping into the lake.
When you emerged from the surface, you smiled at the guys and waved.
“Come on, the water’s great!” you exclaimed, splashing around a little bit. With no need for further coaxing, the boys set their stuff down and jumped in. Minghao waited a bit, using his camera to take photos of the scenery. You swam over to where he stood on the shore, pouting up at him.
“Come on, Hao. Before I have to pull you in,” you joked, splashing his legs a bit. Minghao smiled at you.
“Alright, alright. I’m coming.” You cheered as Minghao put the camera down before jumping in right next to you, splashing you completely. You rubbed your eyes as Minghao laughed.
“Oh, you are so on, Hao.” You and Hao laughed together as you splashed one another. Soon the other boys joined in, leaving you at the mercy of the 5 new boys that you had grown fond of in just a day.
After drying off, your group made its way back to town. You made your way back to your house, smiling at the group of boys.
“And that was my tour of the town. What did you think?” you asked, walking backward down the street. The boys smiled, raving on about their favorite parts of the town. Minghao smiled at you as you laughed at the boy's excitement.
“You weren’t kidding when you said this town never failed in the inspiration department. Thanks for showing us around,” Minghao said with a sincere expression. You flushed ever so slightly before nodding to him lightly.
“Anytime. I hope we can meet up again and hang out? I have an endless list of things we can do if you ever get bored,” you said. Minghao smiled.
“I’d like that.” Before you knew it, you were at the front door of your grandma’s house. Waving goodbye to the boys, you entered your house, letting out a breath as you felt your heart race. Shaking your head, you pushed the thoughts of Minghao and his smile out of your head.
When Minghao got back to the small cottage that they were staying in, he laid in his bed, staring at the ceiling. For some reason, he couldn’t get you out of his head. His heart was flipping slightly, and the thought of your laugh and smile made him smile a little bit. It was a weird feeling for him. He hadn’t felt this way before. Forcing the thoughts out of his head, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
The next day he decided to go off alone. He loved his friends, but he wanted to find someplace quiet where he could sketch with his earbuds in and not be disturbed. After walking around the town for a bit, he found a park. Considering it was early, there weren’t any kids around. Spotting the swings, he walked over and sat down, letting his feet stabilize him. Pulling out his sketchbook and headphones, he looked up for something to draw.
The park had a surprisingly good view, with a few trees blocking the large lake in the distance. It was beautiful, and Minghao began sketching, letting his music flood his ears.
You had woken up earlier than usual with the feeling and need to get out of the house and do something. So, with your iPad and phone in your hands, you headed into town to find a nice place to sit and edit some photos you had taken recently. You were originally heading to a small cafe in town when you saw Minghao in a nearby park, sitting on the swings. With a small smile, you made your way over, tapping him on the shoulder.
He snapped his head to where you had tapped, smiling when he saw you staring down at him.
“Hey! What brings you here?” you asked, moving to sit in the swing next to him. He motioned down to his sketchbook. You leaned in for a moment, looking at the drawing. Your eyes scanned the carefully drawn lines, admiring the messy beauty that Minghao was creating.
“It’s beautiful,” you breathed, eyes stuck to the sketchbook. Minghao inhaled a little bit, heart beating. Why were your compliments making him feel this way? He held his breath until you moved away and flashed him a smile.
“Well, I hope I’m not bothering you. I was going to go to the cafe to edit some photos, but I’ll keep you company if you want,” you offered. Minghao felt himself nod before he could stop himself. You smiled happily, taking out your iPad and stylus to begin editing the photos you had taken. Minghao watched you delicately zoom in and photoshop clutter out of the photo. He stared down at his earbuds before holding one out.
“Wanna listen?” You looked down at his hands and smiled, accepting the earbud. You wiped it down a little bit, earning a chuckle from Minghao, before putting it in your ear. With music playing in both of your ears, each of you got back to work on your projects, enjoying the comfortable silence.
After two hours of working, you and Minghao parted ways with a smile and a promise to see each other again soon. You smiled at your shoes as you walked, feeling giddy for a reason that was still foreign to you. All you knew was that you liked Minghao’s presence, and it made you happy. Minghao did the same thing as he walked the opposite direction, staring down at his sketchbook, happier with his work than he had ever been before.
Another week passed without seeing Minghao. You texted a bit, checking in and asking about his projects, but other than that you hadn’t seen him. It wasn’t until you walked into the local bookshop that you saw Minghao again. You were going to look for some new books to read when you noticed Minghao pursuing the fiction section. With a smile, you approached him.
“Finding anything good?” Minghao turned to look at you, a smile on his face.
“We keep running into each other it seems. And no, I haven’t found anything particularly good,” he said, motioning towards the shelves. He was stationed in front of the classic literature section. You smiled as you scanned the titles before pulling out Pride and Prejudice.
“Have you read this book yet?” you asked, handing it to him. He looked at the cover before shaking his head.
“Nope. I’ve heard of it before though.”
“I highly recommend it. It is one of my favorite books of all time,” you said. Minghao smiled, clutching it to his chest.
“Then I guess I’ll have to read it,” he said. You gave him a wide smile before searching the shelves and pulling out a couple of titles that you liked. With books in hand, you and Minghao paid for your books and exited the store. You walked down the sidewalk together, bags in hand. You talked aimlessly, Minghao sharing stories about his friends and their chaos and you sharing stories about your college friends. It felt so natural to just talk to one another this way, and before you knew it, you were at the street where you needed to part.
“It was nice seeing you, Minghao!” you said, smiling at him.
“And it was nice seeing you. Text me later!” he said. With a wave and a nod, you walked away, head fuzzy and heart leaping with joy. Minghao smiled to himself and he walked away, his heart warm.
Another week went by with little conversation between you and Minghao. That was until you finally got the guts to ask if he wanted to read together at the cafe in town. After agreeing on a date and time, you and Minghao met up at the cafe with your choice of book. Minghao smiled as he sat down with his coffee, Pride and Prejudice in hand. You sat across from him, your book in hand along with your coffee. You both fell into a comfortable silence, flipping pages of your book every couple of minutes.
After a while, you started sneaking glances at Minghao. He looked good with his glasses perched on his nose, sharp eyes gliding along the words written in the book. His hair fell ever so slightly onto his forehead, and every so often he would take a sip of his coffee without looking up. For some reason seeing him like this made you feel weird. Like you wanted to vomit but in a good way. And that’s when it hit you, like a truck going full speed.
You were falling for Minghao.
You anxiously looked down at your book, suddenly feeling very flushed and nervous. You took a couple of deep breaths, hoping that you could calm down your suddenly beating heart and pumping blood.
Minghao was also sneaking peeks at you from across the table. He loved the way you muttered under your breath about the plot or the characters. Every now and then you would reach for your coffee, hand grabbing towards it before you finally found and lifted it. Occasionally you would brush your hair out of your face, allowing Minghao to see your entire face. Watching you and all your habits made him smile. His heart jumped and he wanted nothing more than to watch you do that all the time. And that is when it hit Minghao, like a car hitting a bug.
He was falling for you.
He inhaled sharply at the realization before shaking his head and looking back at his book. He resisted the urge to look at you now and again, afraid that his heart might burst if he looked at you anymore.
After an hour of reading in silence, you and Minghao both decided to stop reading, though you didn’t tell each other that the reason was that you were both too distracted by the other to get any actual reading done. Books in hand, you and Minghao made your way to the pier where you had met. The sun was still high in the sky but the pier was relatively empty, save for a few fishermen.
You and Minghao walked to the end, sitting down so your feet were hanging over the water. Neither of you talked, both afraid that any words you said would come out an incoherent jumbled mess. Besides, the silence wasn’t awkward, in fact, it was quite nice. For someone like Minghao, it was rare to meet someone who he felt comfortable not talking with. He usually felt obligated to keep up a conversation, but with you, he felt at ease just sitting and admiring the view.
You both sat there for a moment, lost in your own thoughts and hyperaware that you were sitting next to someone so beautiful and amazing. Minghao went to set his hand down but recoiled quickly when he placed his large hand on top of yours. You both flushed, looking away to hide your obvious embarrassment and leaping hearts. Before the situation could get any more awkward, you leaped up from your spot, book in hand.
“I should probably go. My grandma is probably waiting for me. I’ll see you later, Hao,” you said, trying not to fumble over your words before rushing down the pier and back home. Minghao stared at you as you left, mind completely overrun with thoughts of you.
That night you couldn’t sleep. You tossed and turned in the guest bedroom you were inhabiting for the summer, but no matter what, you couldn’t sleep. Your mind was awake, racing with ideas, and your hands were itching for you to make something. As the morning birds began chirping and the soft sunlight began breaking over the horizon, you gave up on sleep.
You walked into the kitchen, made yourself a coffee, and went to the garage. The garage was home to your art supplies over the summer, storing your chalks, paints, easels, and everything in between. Taking your bucket full of different chalks, you and your coffee made your way to the backyard. The backyard of the house had a large slab of concrete where the porch was supposed to be, but your grandma never used it so it remained empty. You tied your hair out of your face before getting to work.
Honestly, you didn’t have a plan for the piece of art you were making. Usually, you sketched something out first, but your brain was controlling your hands at this point, making wide strokes and small strokes, forming a piece of art almost mindlessly. Between sips of coffee and the sun rising, your hands slowly became stained with different colors of chalk.
After a couple of hours of work, you finally stared down at your art and your eyes widened. You hadn’t realized earlier, but the strokes of chalk in various shades of pastel pink, blue, and yellow had come together to form an image of a familiar boy on the pier. You blushed as you stared down at it, before brushing it off. Minghao wouldn’t ever see it anyway, so what was the problem?
You jumped slightly as your phone rang. Retrieving the device from your back pocket, you sighed as you attempted to press the answer button without getting chalk on your phone.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Y/N?” Minghao’s voice rang clear through the phone. You froze, eyes stuck on the chalk drawing in front of you.
“Uh, hey Hao. What’s up?” you asked.
“I was wondering if you wanted to hang out. I was gonna go through the photos and I’d love to get your opinion on them,” Hao said. You smiled to yourself, feeling your heart jump a little bit in your chest.
“I’d love to. Give me a couple of minutes, I just got done doing a mural so I need to wash up.” You explained, staring down at the mess of chalk on your clothes and skin. Hao laughed.
“No problem. I’d love to see the mural sometime.” You froze again, your brain rebooting as you tried to figure out what to say next.
“Uh yeah, okay. Send me the address and I’ll be there soon,” you said before hanging up. You let out a large sigh, trying to regain your breath and thoughts. You were about to head inside when the mural caught your eye again. Eyeing it for a few seconds, you pulled up your phone camera and took a photo of it.
After you showered and got yourself presentable (which took way more time than it should have), you were on your way to the cottage. It was a fifteen-minute walk from your grandma’s house, and you’d be lying if you said you didn’t spend a majority of the walk stressing about seeing Minghao.
It was weird. Before, everything had been fine. You’d texted like friends who had known each other for ages, you felt at ease with him even when it was silent, and overall you felt comfortable in his presence. All of that was still true, but somehow it all felt different knowing that you liked him.
You forced yourself to stop overthinking as you approached the cottage door. Vernon answered the door, asking you how you’d been. You made small talk, telling him about your latest baking adventures and some new art projects. You didn’t bring up the mural. Vernon kept talking with you while he led you to Minghao’s room. He left after guiding you, giving you a wink which only made you more nervous.
Gently pushing the door open, you spotted Minghao sitting on the floor in casual clothing, back against the edge of the bed and glasses once again perched on his nose. His laptop was sitting on his lap and his slender fingers were clicking away at the keys and mousepad. He looked up as he heard the door open, smiling softly as he noticed it was you.
“Hey! Come here, I wanna show you some photos,” he said, patting the carpet next to him. You quickly scrambled to sit next to him, aware of the way his arm pressed against yours when you looked at his computer screen. The screen was covered with photos of different parts of town, from the pier to the candy shop. You smile as you observe each photo, Minghao clicking through them.
“Hao, these are gorgeous,” you said, stunned by how beautiful the photos were. He smiled.
“Thanks.” He continued to click and it wasn’t until he clicked forward and quickly clicked back that you sent him a questioning gaze.
“What’s the matter?” The photo that you had seen for a second looked like just another photo of the scenery the town had to offer, but the look on Minghao’s face made it seem like it was a crime.
“Nothing. Those photos aren’t finished anyway.” He said, quickly, but before he could stop you, you reached over and clicked the next arrow. Your eyes widened at the sight you were met with.
It was you. The photo was of you at the candy shop, holding the blue and white swirl lollipop and smiling like there wasn’t a care in the world. You had never thought you could look so beautiful, but the way Minghao captured you made it look like you were an angel. You unconsciously pressed the forward arrow again, revealing more photos of you from throughout the trip. A photo of you dancing with Chan and Jun at the ice cream parlor. A photo of you laughing as you ate your ice cream. A photo of you at the window of the trolley, hair blowing, and a content smile on your face. A few photos of you as you led them through the forest and last but not least some photos of you in the secret lake, the water sparkling around you, but you seemingly sparkling more.
“Hao…” You were speechless. These photos were stunning, but why had Minghao chosen you as a muse?
“I hope you don’t mind. You just looked so carefree that day. Everywhere we went you had a smile on your face and you looked like an angel. I figured it would be a missed opportunity to not take some photos of you. Originally I was only gonna take some at the candy store, but I loved you in those photos so much that I had to take more,” Hao explained, his voice tense from nerves. You stared at him, shocked. He thought you were beautiful? You smiled softly at him.
“Well, I guess we are both each other’s muses,” you said. Minghao furrowed his brows in confusion while you pulled your phone out. You quickly pulled up your mural from this morning and showed it to him. His eyes sparkled as he took in the chalk mural that you had made. It was so intricate, yet stylistic. He was drawn in different shades of pastel, almost like a stained glass window made of chalk.
“I couldn’t sleep last night cause my brain was itching to do something. I woke up and started to make this mural, but I wasn’t really thinking about it when I made it. My brain just drew the lines the way my heart wanted them to be. It wasn’t until I was finished I realized that it was you,” you explained, face heating up as you tried to explain yourself to him. He looked up from the phone to you, before smiling.
“Well, this makes me less nervous to tell you that I like you. I think I’ve liked you since we first met, but I didn’t realize till we were at the coffee shop,” Minghao admitted. You let out a small chuckle.
“I like you too, Minghao. Maybe tonight, we can go on a proper date?” You asked. Minghao nodded happily.
“I’d like that very much,” he said. You smiled as you felt his arms wrap around your shoulders, bringing you in close. You cuddled into his chest, feeling weightless. The nervousness that was there before was gone, leaving only the content feeling of love in its place.
This town had never left you dry for inspiration, and you think that this town finally brought you your forever muse.

Cooling Off [Neighbor!Jun]
Synopsis: You were ready to have a chill summer vacation but your family and neighbor Jun had other plans.
[bulletpoint/”crack”]
Tumblr media
So summer just started and you were about ready to sleep for three weeks (totally not a Drake and Josh reference ahahahaha)
But then your mother barged into your room and told you to clean the guest room because your aunt, uncle, and younger cousins from Japan were coming to visit and they were going to arrive tomorrow
So obviously your grand master plan to hibernate (in the heat) wasn’t going to happen
Because it just so happens that your cousins from Japan were hYPeR aS hEcK bRO
Sure they were like 10 years younger than you and had unlimited amounts of energy bUT STILL
IT’S LIKE THEY BREATHE ACTIVITY HOW DO THEY EVEN SURVIVE DO THEY EVEN KNOW SLEEP
Anyways you go clean the room and get stuff ready for da fam when they arrive
The next day comes and WOAH YOUR RELATIVES ARE HERE
AND SO ARE THOSE LITTLE SPAWNS OF SATAN BALLS OF SUNSHINE
The two cousins that had came were beyond excited when they saw you
You started sweating on the inside when you saw them
How long do I have to deal with these squirts this time???
They wanted to spend allllllllll of their time with you
And you aunt and uncle didn’t necessarily vibe with all of the games they played so that left you to entertain them
Right when the kids got to the house, they immediately wanted to play with water balloons
So naturally you had to fill up the water balloons for the kiddos
Needless to say, those hyper kids went through a lot of water balloons very quickly.
Filling up those balloons felt like hell in the summer heat.
You had to stop yourself many times from spraying yourself with the hose.
As you were filling the water balloons, you were trying to come up with an efficient way to cool down from the summer heat.
Then it hit you.
No literally,
A water balloon hit you.
Someone had thrown a water balloon at you.
WHO THE FU-
You looked up and saw someone waving from a short distance.
“Wen Junhui......”
It was none other that you best neighbor ever, Jun.
“You looked like you needed to cool down so I-”
During the time that he was explaining why he had thrown his water balloon at you, you launched one of the water balloons you had on hand at him.
You two exchanged murderous glances
And that’s when the war started.
You two were pelting water balloons at each other like there was no tomorrow.
(kinda like an anime hahahahahha)
Your cousins ran out of their water balloons and saw you and Jun pelting balloons at each other
They started watching and cheering for you
You smirked
“I HAVE THE HIGH GROUND, WEN JUNHUI”
“I WILL NEVER SURRENDER”
A few hours and dozens of water balloons later, you and Jun were laying on the grass that was probably drowned by all the water balloons you two threw and missed
“Hey, Jun?”
“Yeah?”
“Thanks for today.”
Tumblr media
A/N: Thanks for dealing with my weird sense of humor.

☆ tct summer collection masterlist
☆ genre: fluff
☆ pairing: wen junhui x reader
☆ summary: you and jun want to go camping, but decide to do it in the comfort of your own backyard
☆ word count: 2k
You and Jun had been talking about going on a camping trip for months now. Both of you have never been and thought that it would be a fun experience to the great outdoors together. However, now that summer was here, you and Jun were both lacking the motivation and commitment to actually leave the house to go camping. Then Jun came up with the brilliant idea of setting up your campgrounds in the backyard of your small townhouse.
“What do you even need to go camping?” You asked, pushing the cart along the aisles with Jun trailing behind you.
“I have no idea,” Jun admitted, before pulling out his phone to search for the answer to your question. After a few minutes of searching, Jun found a list and handed his phone to you. You scanned the list, making a mental checklist before handing the phone back.
“Well then babe, let’s get ourselves a tent!” You exclaimed before pushing the cart towards the camping section.
After about an hour of messing around inside the store and hopefully getting all of the stuff you needed for a fun night, you and Jun checked out and headed back home. First things first, you both needed to set up the tent that you bought and you stared at the directions as Jun messed around with different parts of the tent.
“Jun, I don’t understand this,” you shoved the instruction sheet into his face, watching as he took it and read the words, mumbling to himself. After a few minutes Jun threw the paper behind him.
“Let’s just wing it,” he said, before picking up one of the stakes and the hammer. You widen your eyes as he began to set the tent up, leaving you to wonder  if he was doing any of it correctly.
Finally the tent was up, after you finally decided to read the instructions again and understood them. Jun did most of the work, with you guiding him through the process. Once your tent was set up, the next step was making the inside nice and cozy.
You and Jun walked into your bedroom, undressing your mattress from its various blankets and sheets. You were planning on moving the mattress into the tent so that you could sleep more comfortably. In the midst of folding your comforter, you were smacked in the face with a fluffy pillow. Eyes wide, you turned to Jun, who was staring at you with an innocent grin on his face. With a smirk you grabbed another pillow and flung it at him watching as it hit him in the chest.
Soon it was an all out war, with both you and Jun throwing pillows back and forth, dodging and catching to the best of your abilities. The war ended when you were both so out of breath from laughing that you couldn’t throw another pillow. You smiled to yourself as Jun’s sweet laughter reached your ears, and with a soft giggle, you moved to clear off the rest of the mattress.
“Come on, Junebug. We still need to get this mattress outside,” you said. Jun smiled at the nickname, before helping you hoist the mattress up and carefully navigate it outside. By the time the mattress was outside and in the tent, the sun was already beginning to set. You turned to Jun, a pout on your face.
“At this point it’s gonna be midnight before we finish getting everything ready,” you said, mind racing with all the preparations you still needed to do.
“How about you make dinner, and I’ll finish setting everything up here?” Jun suggested. With a smile and nod, you gave a soft kiss to Jun’s cheek.
“Then I’ll leave you to it, Mr. Interior Designer,” you said, before walking back into the house. Dinner was simple, just some noodles with rice and beef, but you still wanted it to be delicious and prepared with love. You took your time seasoning the meat, grilling it, and adding it to a bowl that you set down a tray with the noodles and rice.
You smiled at your hard work, taking your apron off and picking up the tray to head outside. You got the patio door before Jun blocked your way, taking the tray from your hands.
“Jun, what are yo-”
“Close your eyes,” you raised an eyebrow at him in suspicion. He gave you a small little smile, pleading at you with his eyes. With a soft sigh, you closed your eyes. Jun let out a small cheer of victory.
“Let me put this tray down outside and then I’ll be back. No peeking!” he said, before opening the patio door and disappearing. You bounced a bit on the balls of your feet as you waited for your boyfriend to return, slightly nervous about what he was  planning. You knew that it was bound to be a good surprise, but for some reason you felt like the teenager you were back then when you and Jun started dating.
You jumped a bit when the patio door slid back open as Jun gently reached out to take your hand. Relishing in the warm comfort that was your boyfriend’s soft hands, you allowed him to lead you out of the patio door. You felt the tall grass that Jun barely ever cut tickle your feet and ankles as you navigated the backyard without vision.
“Almost there, darling.” Jun’s hand squeezed your own, leading you a couple more steps before stopping.
“We are at the entrance to the tent. I’m gonna help you get in, okay?” You nodded in response, carefully holding Jun’s hand as you let him lead you through the large entrance to the tent. Once the feeling of grass was removed from your ankles, you stopped.
“Okay, you can open your eyes,” Jun said. You slowly lifted your eyelids, letting out a small gasp at the sight that awaited you.
The floor of the tent was covered in blankets and pillows, including the mattress which was currently the home of some of your fuzziest blankets and softest pillows. A few of your stuffed animals lined the floor and bed, ready for you to cuddle and squish them. Right next to the mattress was an assortment of snacks that you bought from the store, all displayed and ready to be eaten. You let out a giggle at the large bottle of coke that sat in an ice bucket beside the snacks, mimicking a champagne bottle.
The entirety of the tent was covered in fairy lights, twinkling and glowing. They gave off a soft warm light that made the whole tent feel cozy. Looking up at the ceiling, you noticed that Jun had somehow managed to hang little stars up, so it was like looking at your own starry night sky.
The side of the tent opposite the mattress was home to a large white sheet that a mini projector was projecting on to. Jun turned your backyard into a scene from a teen movie that you would have watched and gushed over when you were younger. You felt tears come to your eyes as you spotted the dinner you made sitting in front of the mattress, ready to be eaten. Turning to Jun, he was looking at you with fond eyes, seemingly waiting for your reaction.
“Jun… this is beautiful,” you whispered, trying not to cry. You didn’t last long as Jun wrapped you up in his arms, hugging you tight. You squeezed him close, smiling to yourself. You will never know how you got so lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend.
Jun and you have been dating for a fairly long amount of time. Your honeymoon phase was long over, and you were basically a married couple even if you didn’t have the rings to make it real. This feeling itself meant that you didn’t feel the need to do anything big, dramatic, over the top things to show your love. The days of big surprises passed as you both felt more and more comfortable in your love with each other. Neither of you minded. You liked the domestic feeling of just being with each other, even if it was just sitting together on the couch watching a Naruto rerun for the twentieth time.
But it was moments like this that made you fall in love with Jun all over again. Whenever he decided to surprise you with small or big things, it made your heart soar. He didn’t need to do them, but it showed you that he was just as in love with you as you were him; that he took time to think something out just for you, just to see you smile and laugh and be happy, and the fact that these moments were even rarer made it so much better.
“Do you like it?” Jun asked, pulling back from your hug ever so slightly to look down at you. With a chuckle, you wiped tears from your eyes and nodded.
“It’s amazing, Jun. Thank you,” Jun smiled, pressing a small kiss to your forehead.
“I just wanted you to have an amazing night. This was the least I could do for you,” Jun said. You gave him a soft smile, before taking his hand and pulling him to sit on the bed.
“What movie did you wanna watch, Junebug?” You asked as he pulled out his laptop.
“I was thinking we could watch Your Name?” He inquired. You gasped at the name, nodding excitedly. You loved that movie so much, even though it made you sob like a little baby. After a few minutes the movie began projecting onto the sheet, drawing your attention. You scooted closer to Jun as you ate, pressing right up next to him to feel his warmth.
After you both finished eating, Jun was quick to wrap an arm around your waist, bringing you in to cuddle up next to him. You nuzzled your head into his chest, relishing in his warmth and strength.
“Mitsuha! Her name is Mitsuha!” You exclaimed to the movie, tears streaming down your face as Taki slowly began to forget her name. Jun chuckled softly at your anger, also wiping some tears from his eyes.
When the movie finally ended, you buried your head in Jun’s chest, crying still.
“Damn that movie is so good.” You mumbled into Jun’s sweatshirt. Jun let out a laugh as he lightly stroked your head, trying to soothe you. After a few minutes of calming down, you and Jun decided to try and get some sleep. It was late after all, and your sleep schedules would get ruined if you stayed up any longer.
Jun pulled you into him as you laid down. You smiled happily as you felt his warmth. Now that the sun was gone, it was pretty cold and despite the fact that you were both wearing sweats and had a fur blanket, you were still pretty cold.
Jun pressed a kiss to your head as he began to hum a soft melody to you. You breathed with the beat, relaxing even further into Jun’s torso as you felt your eyes begin to close.
“Hey, Jun?” The humming stopped, a sign to you that you had Jun’s full attention.
“I love you. I love you so much. Thank you for everything, Junebug,” you said, turning your head back to press a soft kiss to his lips. Jun kissed back softly, and when you broke apart you were met with a pair of soft eyes that accompanied a soft smile.
“Anything for you, my star. I love you and I will love you until the stars stop shining and the moon is gone,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. You pressed one last kiss to his lips, overwhelmed with feelings of love and contentment as you laid with your boyfriend. Turning back around, you listened to Jun continue his humming, your eyes finally closing as you drifted off into a peaceful sleep, where you would meet Jun again in your dreams.

you lay on your side, sinking your body into the sheets of the bed. the moon and the stars brightens the room, illuminating a beam of light through the bedroom window.
from where you are, you examine the pictures, clothes, and knick knacks displayed in the view in front of you. to the left, you see his letterman jacket, neatly hung up next to the window. you remember from the start of freshman year, you were reluctantly dragged to all his games. but during this past year, you would have never guessed you’d be the one to wear his jersey.
just below the window sat his desk where frankly, not a lot of work actually got done. instead you remember all the times you would sit on his lap to get his attention away from whatever video game was playing on his computer screen. and that was only half of what you did all summer long.
other than the occasional rolled up twix wrappers, his room was clean. the only things left were the pictures plastered on the wall and the few that were framed on his desk. some of them you know were already packed, stored inside his suitcase.
even though you were always keen on him keeping his room nice and tidy, the cleanliness of his room now only reminds you of how lonesome times will be when he leaves.
you didn’t learn about the details until you started to question why he, all of a sudden, wanted to do everything with you. right when summer started, he was banging on your front door, snacks in hand and was ready to either stay indoors or take you out on a drive. every single day, there was a plan.
you were pleasantly surprised at first. seungcheol was never the type to pamper his loved ones in such an extravagant manner. you liked his simple gestures of affection. a kiss on the forehand. a letter signed with his name. a pinky promise. but who didn’t love a little pampering here and there?
but here and there turned into every which way possible. dates weren’t the same, kisses seemed forced, and the days got tiring.
if only you had known sooner that seungcheol was going away for his first semester in college, almost neverland far away.
no, you didn’t fight over it. once you found out, you knew better than to yell at him for something he was only trying to savor what he could of your relationship. so you guys made the most out of it. picnics, beaches, dinners, movies, photobooths, carnivals, roadstrips. as tiring as it was, you would rather hold on to seungcheol as long as you could than letting him slowly slip away.
you stay laying on your side, watching the moon somehow move closer and the stars twinkle brighter. as you close you close to wish on an imaginary shooting star, you feel the other side of bed start to sink. a faint smile creeps upon your face before turning your body around.
seungcheol looked incredible with the moonlight shining against him. it’s a sight you have engraved in your mind. his elevated cheekbones, his dark chocolate brown eyes, his pink plump pigmented lips. you curse to yourself knowing this will only make you miss him more.
he grabs your hand, guiding it so you’re cupping his face. you feel the damp skin on his cheek and slowly start to realize the slight redness in his eyes.
“i know you’re worried,” he softly whispers, barely even audible. “but no matter what happens here, know that i’ll always be there by your side.” a tear falls down his cheek, a hiccup escaping his lips.
you caress his neck before pulling his head towards you, engulfing his cries in your chest. you maneuver your hand carefully away from his embrace and find its way under the pillow you both shared. seungcheol lifts his head up slightly to look down at the object you had placed between you two.
his lips quiver at the sight, his forearm now barely enough to hold him up right. in all your years, you wouldn’t think such a gesture would affect him so much.
a kiss on the forehand. a letter signed with your name. a pinky promise.
“and so will i.”
