Blogrates, haha. I don't have any New Years resolutions I gave up making them cause I never stuck to them... the only one I've ever stuck to is to stop straightening my hair and I think I've straightened it once or twice in 2 years! Sorry I'm rambling now...

Oh no you’re not rambling! Unfortunately, I never stick to my resolutions and I always put them back for the next year. I’ve been meaning to go to the gym again and quit soda since last year, and that never stuck haha. But I hope 2017 leads us to commit and work hard! :)

27/100 Days of Productivity // Thursday 1 March

So I took a little break from this - I had way too much work to be doing, as well as a lot of other commitments (rowing and german society, hello) and decided it would be a better use of my time to do this work, rather than spend time trying to take aesthetic photos of me doing work haha. The workload has now massively calmed down though, so I’m back! This was me working on my long essay (for which I am also massively behind!)

Do you prefer to study with or without music?

Usually with. I mentioned the playlists I liked the other day.

What do you think about the studyblr community?

I don’t really think of myself as part of it, if I’m being totally honest. I like to answer asks and help where I can but I don’t reblog much and I don’t follow many studyblrs. If it is healthy and helpful to people then I think the studyblr world can be great but I have seen one too many high schools students driven to the edge of mental illness by unrealistic expectations and anxiety.

I am always honest about how I edit my life for this blog and how I am able to form a narrative that makes my life seem aspirational and exciting when it’s really not (for the most part) and I hope that, in doing so, I can counteract some of the saccharine sweetness which I think can pervade studyblrs.

Wellllllll you've heard from me today already and you proooobably want me to shut up, but I hated BIOL4 and it kinda put me down cause it was my first exam and I just wished it had gone better having put so much work into it! Oh well, can't to anything about it now :P

Hahah nooo knowing I’m not the only one who found it difficult is kind of a relief! Hopefully the grade boundaries will be nice! Don’t let it get you down! It’s only one exam, I’m sure it will be ok and at least it’s over now! :)

Heya! I just saw your post about BIOL5 essays and I do AQA A2 biology too, so I was wondering how you revise for those essays? I find them really tough and was wondering if you had tips :)

hi, I can’t give any more help than just saying practice some essays and get your teacher to mark them, or at least look at some plans so you know what you can talk about in them (which I think is the hardest bit, just knowing what you can write). 14. Why did you make a studyblr?

Because I’d been a part of the IB tag for a long time, but I was getting more busy with school and therefore unable to be as much on tumblr as I used to. A studyblr seemed like a way to still get to hang around tumblr, but be motivated to do schoolwork at the same time. It worked like a charm!

16. Favourite way to de-stress after a test?

Make tea, have some chocolate and watch a few episodes of whatever tv-show I’m in the middle of at the moment.

21. Best study snack and drink?

22. What do you want to study?

I’ll be studying Accounting and Finance next year, and I’ve been pretty set on that path since I was about 8 years old :)
