It’s Girl Scout Day! March 12, 2024, is the 112th birthday of Girl Scouts in the United States, and to celebrate, we’re sharing a lithograph of the Girl Scout alumnae who became NASA astronauts.
Girl Scouts learn to work together, build community, embrace adventurousness and curiosity, and develop leadership skills—all of which come in handy as an astronaut. For example, former Scouts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir worked together to make history on Oct. 18, 2019, when they performed the first all-woman spacewalk.
Pam Melroy is one of only two women to command a space shuttle and became NASA’s deputy administrator on June 21, 2021.
Nicole Mann was the first Indigenous woman from NASA to go to space when she launched to the International Space Station on Oct. 5, 2022. Currently, Loral O’Hara is aboard the space station, conducting science experiments and research.
Participating in thoughtful activities in leadership and STEM in Girl Scouts has empowered and inspired generations of girls to explore space, and we can’t wait to meet the future generations who will venture to the Moon and beyond.

A video of "human calculator" Shakuntala Devi solving complex mathematical equations within seconds.
In 1982, she was awarded the Guinness World Record for fastest human computation. She was assigned a multiplication problem with two random numbers of 13 digits each (7,686,369,774,870 × 2,465,099,745,779) and gave the correct answer (18,947,668,177,995,426,462,773,730) in 28 seconds.
She travelled to several countries for the purpose of having her talents studied. In 1988, her abilities were tested by Arthur Jenson, a professor at the University of California, Berkeley. Problems given to her included calculating the cube root of 61,629,875 and the seventh root of 170,859,375. Jensen reported that Devi came up with the solutions (395 and 15) before he could write them down in his notebook.
Before all that, in 1977, at Southern Methodist University, she gave the 23rd root of a 201-digit number in 50 seconds. Her answer (546,372,891) was confirmed by calculations done by the UNIVAC 1101 computer, for which a special program had to be written to perform such a large calculation. The computer took longer to solve the problem than Devi did.
Oh, also, in 1979, she wrote the earliest book about homosexuality in India.
Trying to write about someone else but she keeps popping in my mind GGRRH
Tldr: becoming Arlecchino's housewife
Arlecchino has a breeding kink. She loves working at that orphanage and she loves all her children with all her heart seeing you playing the cute housewife role if, she can't help but have those feelings be stared inside of her again.
However, you'll be damn mistaking if you think you'll be the one breeding her. No, she's going to be the one breeding you. Fuck you so hard that you'll feel like you'll be 9 months pregnant when she's done with you. It's natural for you since you get along with all her children so well so you must want more of her kids right?
She is the Husband. You are the housewife. She wants to get home covered in blood from her Fatui work. She wants to walk into that orphanage to see you in a frilly pink apron cooking the children's meals for her to wrap your arms around you, her nails delicately dancing across your skin. Her body pressed up against you. This woman who brutally kills anyone she does not like who will stand up against an archon practically threatening them with blackmail, to relax with her arms around you and to treat you so softly.
Arlecchino would spoil you to, after getting something for the kids and supplies for the orphanage; who wouldn't want to spoil the mother of her children? Anything you want just say the word.
The children adore you. They will murder for you if you are ever in danger; your kidnappers will have to sleep with both eyes open. The wrath of your husband and your hundreds of children will be brought upon them.
