i know it’s been discussed and analysed before but I’m really beginning to think that straight romance written by women, especially when it is from or includes the man’s point of view, is bad for girls and women. it’s bad if they’re unable to recognise it as unrealistic and simply a form of escapism, because if they don’t realise that (which i think many dont) they are being groomed and set up for huge disappointment when they do date men. it also causes them to humanise men and project humanity into their words and actions that isn’t there because they’ve been made to believe he has a deep and complex emotional mind, or that he’s thinking beautiful tender poetic thoughts about her but just has trouble expressing them etc. when really mens thoughts abt women are more realistically mentally undressing her and wishing she’d stop talking. if you listen to how men describe women and compare it to how fictional men written by women describe women … night and day difference

framing sexual attraction as something which can even be exclusionary is so monstrously gross because it presumes that the default of any person’s body/sexuality is public availability or automatic consent which is then limited or revoked. that’s not how it works. my body is not a natural resource and i am not capable of depriving anyone of it. to be deprived or excluded from something, one must have had a right to access it in the first place.

I don’t want to be that person I don’t want to be that person I really don’t want to be that person because I know it looks like an “innocent” video but actually can we start raising our daughters to not give a fuck about how pretty or attractive or gorgeous they are?? And instead raise them to be confident, active, intelligent, independent etc? Like, this little girl is playing with makeup, or even just the makeup brush, likely just imitating her mother’s behavior she’s seen before, but she already knows that putting on or playing with makeup makes her “look gorgeous” and that that has to do with her appearance, and that it’s worth verbally pointing out because “looking gorgeous” already holds intrinsic value as something good and positive and reinforced (with mom smiling and saying “you do”).

Like, idk. Some might say it’s not that deep and that it was just a moment in time in their entire lives but also I checked their account, and it’s a Mom & Daughter account that has 4.3 million followers and countless videos where the daughter is being exploited for views. But even besides that, just look at the number of likes and saves this video has, and the thousands of comments saying how “this is the way to raise your daughter right!! 🥰”

Like I know. I KNOW. It’s supposed to be cute and innocent and sweet. But it isn’t. It really isn’t.

The more I think about it, the more I think the best parallel ideology to transgenderism is scientology. One of them is a wacky and wildly individualist spiritual belief system about how all your problems have to do with how your soul was forcibly placed in the wrong body. And you can only solve those problems by forking over money to a weird priesthood masquerading as intellectuals and health experts, who will help align your body with the vaguely defined and unfalsifiable spirit at its core. All justified with a mid 20th century coat of psuedoscientific paint. The main architect of which was a pedophile. Which later went on to infiltrate the government, academia, and the entertainment industry (especially Hollywood) where it morphed into a weird cross between a sex cult and a pyramid scheme. And even though most people know it is bullshit, its followers are so tenacious, and it's church so well funded, and their abuse of the legal system so well refined that people are simply too intimidated to stand up to them. And people who do dare to defect are mercilessly hounded and intimidated into silence for daring to expose the cults inner workings to the general public.

And the other one is a group of weirdos who worship an alien called Xenu or something.

your idea about female separatism or superiority is delusional. Women are not inferior but you’re not superior either. put all feminists on an island on their own for a year. See what happens. There was a show actually, the women and men were put on the other sides of an island. All the women had to do was find the men and they quit after one day while the men made spears, houses and had a great time dancing and singing. And don’t just dismiss it saying it’s only a few women blah blah bc you know damn well if it was the other way round you’d be using it as proof women generally are better or superior in some ways.

Female separatism isn't a hypothetical thing lol. It has happened, is happening, and will continue to happen. There's larger-scale examples like Umoja, the famous village in Kenya where men are strictly forbidden, and Jinwar in Syria, another female separatist village inspired by Umoja that began construction/planning in 2016. If you're looking for more local examples, womyn's land and off-the-grid women's communes have been a thing ever since the peak of second-wave feminism in the '70s. These communities are/were self-sustaining, growing their own produce and constructing their own buildings. Regardless, female separatism doesn't harm or affect men in any way, so there's no reason for you (assuming you are a man) to concern yourself with it. Another component of, a lot for adult women are boring. Women aren't allowed to do silly shit without it being sexualised and you see this play out during puberty where more and more girls self censor, shrink and give up the whimsy of prepubescent girlhood. And I think it's getting a lot worse with how far reaching porn has become.

We know we're being monitored and watched and I think it makes teens girls insane. There are very few socially accepted outlets for female silliness that's not sexualised or physically neutered.
